Ummmm, not my favourite- I have liked lots of their back catalogue over the years, but this album is….

Decent, liked the band years ago - not due on this one niw, sounds dated.

I really enjoyed this album- jazz/hip hop, reminds me of a hip hop Gil Scott Heron, not heard this before, Public enemy are similar, but I will download this album, really enjoyed it.

Really excellent album that I have on vinyl, Sade hit me in 1984, and I saw her “live” on this tour in London, what a voice- soul, Jazz rhythms Beautiful

This was a surprise package, I’d heard of the name, but not listened to anything by Coldcut, but it was a good liste, so listened a 2nd time👏

This is an album I should really have had some years ago, after hearing her on the velvet underground record, but I never did, so played it out yesterday, a couple of decent tunes here, but I won’t be buying it.

I knew this band would come around, I’ve not listened to much LZ I must admit for someone in their 60s, I have one track from this album on a playlist “Going to California” which I heard some years ago, and honestly I don’t like this album……

Truly excellent album, and timeless, I remember playing songs from this album to my kids driving down to Argeles in France , in the 2000s they were very young, and they still love them, and have seen them “live”, I have tickets for their shows this year, when they will play this album in full, I’m going with my kids, who are now in their 20s👏👏

I thought I might enjoy this, however I didn’t…….

I love Lemmys vocals- they were a crossover band for me, as I was into Punk in the 70s, Ace of spades is a great track, particularly “live” - I listened to this album on the way to Football yesterday, it’s good and not too heavy

I’d never heard of this band, liked the 1st track, “ Time to pretend” - I’ve heard this before, probably on Radio6 - plus “kids” Not much else happening here for me

I only liked one song on this album; East St Louie Toodle-oo- other than that just standard songs.

This is truly an excellent album, had it since it came out, playing it again and singing along ; Tracy Thorn, Horace Andy, Tricky, this version of “Light my fire” is magical right at the end - beautiful

I know everyone raves about this album, and when I was at school everyone in my class was talking about it, but I never got into PF, so yesterday was the 1st time I’d ever listened to the whole album- and, we’ll I quite liked a couple of songs, that was it…..

This album grew on me as I went further into the album, i like it! The only song I knew of Fiona’s was her singing with Johnny Cash on “Father and son” many years ago

On my first listen to this band, my initial thoughts were, we done this in 1977, but as I voyaged further into the album, I quite liked the Rock n roll style, “on a rope” I put up on UT, lead singer reminds me a bit of Joe Strummer…….looking that is😂

The longer this went on, the better I liked - though doesn’t come near his later stuff

And then this one comes along, I bought this when I finally got into the Beatles, loved playing this yesterday in the car and singing along to “Rocky Racoon, guitar weeps, USSR, obladee, blackbird etc…….great memories

Bought this when it came out, and remember the songs well, but sounds a bit dated now….

I gave this 2 spins, but it sounded a lot like the 1980s Guitar bands, a couple of songs were ok, but nothing special for me

I’ve heard a more funky version of “Watermelon man” by HH, this is very much a Jazz album with Funk/fusion - long tracks, perfect to listen to in the car on my way home from the beach🦐

A friend of my fathers had this album in 1973, I was still at school, some excellent songs on here, “Bennie and the Jets” reminds me so much of that year, I bought candle in the wind on 7”, BATJ on the B side.

In the week that we lost Andrew Rankin, drummer with The Pogues 🙏🏼, it was fitting to hear “Worms” again, I first saw The Pogues live in 1984, lucky to live in “Archway”, so they were a local band - saw them many times in London, one of my favourite bands ever, “Fairy tale of NY” - what a song, RIP Shane, and Kirsty🙌

I reckon I could’ve got into Husker do back in the day, and I’m sure John Peel would’ve played them, but alas I don’t have anything by them in my collection, this album is listenable- if a little dated.

It was ok, quite catchy lyrics, with his distinctive voice,but not really for me.

I saw PIL live this year in Jan 2026, the backing band to Lydon pumping out the Bass, I did have this album in its metal box for several years, so many great tracks on here, listened whilst on my drive to watch the football at Portman Road - Albatross, Suit, swan lake, graveyard - Tunes from 1979

I do really like Peter Tosh, and legalise it is a classic track, but the rest of the album was just ok, and I love my reggae

I read some of the reviews before I listened to this classic, you can really separate the non British reviews, the treasure that is Ian Dury was an absolute class act and I bought this on vinyl the week it came out, sadly that vinyl has gone, but I did replace on CD years ago, absolute classic pub cockney rhyming- My old man - class writing or “Good evening I’m from Essex in case you couldn’t tell, my given name is Dickie etc”🙌🤩

Not sure what to make of this, couldn’t quite get into it, as I thought I might, never heard of the band of album, so it made an interesting listen, summertime blues - not the best, Eddie Cochran or T.Rex.

1991 was the year I got married, and “what you do to me” was a firm favourite- I didn’t buy this album, though I’m unsure why? I think I need to get it after listening to it yesterday, it resonates so much to me from that time, when we were both into all those “indie” bands like Teenage fan club, Dinosaur Jnr, lemon heads etc….

Classic album from 1978, I was into Blondie A bit, but not a massive fan, I’ve only recently bought their 1st album, but obviously this is a classic album, with so ,many great songs, difficult not to give it a maximum

A couple of decent tracks on here, I never got into Teardrop express, or Julian Cope, I found him a bit pretentious

This is the 2nd time I’ve heard this album now, and I loved it, some great guitar, bluesy and cool stuff, I can see why it’s included, I read about it afterwards- very decent

At last I enjoyed a Led album, listening to the 1001 albums has brought me into the “Blues rock” side of Zeppelin- read about John Bonnin yesterday, very sad at 32, then the band disbanding in respect🙌

Fantastic album, Alex Turners lyrics, and the backing band are excellent on every track on this album, we saw them live in 2013 with my 2 sons, amazing. Standout tracks; MARDY Bum, I bet you look good, A certain romance

Loved this album, had on repeat, great samples coming in, and female vocal - only heard a handful of songs before, so a good listen here.

This ones tricky, when the kids were younger there was a lot of Adele in the house; 19, 21, 25, this now sounds. Bit dated, though the songs have meaning in them, and she’s very upset

I hate Metallica, though some people love them, hahaha

I did think I’d enjoy this album, but it deteriorated the more I listened, so just a 2

Not my thing at all, listened to some trax, but tough going

I do like a lot of Prince, but I really don’t like this album, apart from “ when doves cry”

Well, this was sensational when it was released, I remember watching the “Tube” - it was so fresh and new, but now so dated😂

I have this, but not played for ages, saw them live in 1980s with Kim Deal, awesome, Monkey gone to heaven stand out track
