Reviews (page 8 of 8)

Yesterday I had Aerosmiths third album and didn't enjoy it, 2 stars. I opened today hoping for a palate cleanser and was given Aerosmiths 4 album. I barely made it through a single listen of this as I was already sick of their stones derivative, screechy, puerile nonsense. Today they get one star just because I'm sick of their shit.

Genuinely exhausting to listen through. Rock for people who eat plain oatmeal every day for breakfast

I did listen to it and like a few songs from them but not this album :(

I hate this music. I hope that's the last one from Aerosmith in the 1001 challenge. Two so far seems a stretch?

Bad Aerosmith album

I hate it

After hearing all the singles Aerosmith had to offer over the years I felt like I knew what I was expecting when I first hit play on rocks and it turns out.... I was exactly right in my assumptions. This album was everything I expected it to be. Which is to say it's a boring hair metal album akin to AC/DC where if you have heard one of these guys songs you have essentially heard them all. At least other offerings have that one stand out single you can latch onto but this album, like 90% of their discography is samey hair metal trash. Tyler's voice can sometimes sound like nails on a chalk board and he overly relies on repetitive vocal melodies to push him through a song....album....career.... Unless you couldn't tell. I do not like Aerosmith...

Some buns

Super boring. Scratching my head why this album is on here. Aerosmith had a lot of hits but none of them are on this record. I would’ve much rather listened to toys in the attic, get a grip, or big ones. Back in the saddle is one of Steven Tyler’s worst sounding vocals. Terrible song. Last child is alright. Sick as a dog is not a good song. Get the lead out is alright. 1

Can’t hear anything some of the reviewers do. Meahh

Album did basically nothing to sway my already mostly negative opinion on the band. Also opens with my second most disliked song of theirs.

Aerosmith is very quite possibly the worst band on this list and the worst band who has every achieved any amount of fame. 0 stars all the way.

Should've stuck to making chocolate.

I hate Aerosmith so so much. This record sucks.

What a snooze. I fully forgot this album an hour after listening to it. I honestly considered giving it a 2, but I couldn't think of something that actually redeemed it.

Aerosmith just doesn't do anything for me aside from a few hits, none of which are on this album. Nothing jumped out at me about this one, even the singles. Standout Tracks:

How is this on the list??

Didn’t even finish album.

I've never given Aerosmith the time of day until this album, I wish I hadn't here either.

For the life of me I can't understand why Aerosmith is on this list, surely there are more worthy bands. I particularly hate this brand of screamo pop rock and Steven Tyler's vocals. Nothing redeeming here folks, keep moving.

Slightly noisy nonsense. Downhill after the first track.

Didn't feel like prime Aerosmith. Apart from Last Child, I found it a bit tedious tbh. Like they just slapped together an album in a few weeks, decided, "Yeah, that's good enough," and got back on the partying. A lot of this some of rock also hasn't aged well imo. Feels almost like a parody.

Hair metal is one of my least favorite genres and this album continues to confirm that trend

Very boring

i refuse to listen to this

Not my favorite.. sounds sorta generic? Nothing really stood out for me as an album

Big fat smelly turd, hurt my ears and my feelings.

I just really hate Aerosmi

Awful.

I couldn't listen to this, not because of any technical problem, or from a lack of time, but more because I dislike Aerosmith a great deal.

didn't listen

Some good riffs, but I don't enjoy this.

No me apetese wey.

File under: Worth a listen for historical considerations. I'm not a complete Aerosmith hater. I still remember back in my second year of college, one of my roommates and I decided to buy new cassettes for the 4 hour drive home. We weren't allowed to own or listen to any rock tapes at our college, so we embraced the opportunity to rock out on our way home. He bought Def Leppard; I bought an Aerosmith compilation heavy on the 90s hits. I still listen to those once in a while. I can enjoy a brief list of 70s and early 80s 'smith hits. For a record as a whole, though, this one wears thin pretty quickly for me, especially compared to so many other fantastic mid-70s records.

I refuse to listen to this refuse.
