Pleasantly surprised to see this here. Very underrated.
I've avoided listening to a Coldplay album for this long, and I was right to do so. So boring.
Extremely 80s and not in a good way.
Didn't realise the list went up to 2020. Not for me.

Listened to loads before. 5/5
Listened to random Cure songs but never heard this album before. Atmospheric and hits the right mood but kind of similar between songs. Would listen to it again from time to time. 3.5
Not overly familiar of REM outside of a few songs. Never listened to this album. Decent.
Was familiar with the album but never listened from start to finish. I can see why it is in the list, but not really for me.
More familiar with Songs of Love and HAte and the first album. This was decent but prefer those two albums. Need to explore Cohen a bit more.
I've avoided listening to a Coldplay album for this long, and I was right to do so. So boring.
I've never heard of this album nor Elis Regina before. I enjoyed it as background music but can't really see myself revisiting it though. Nice to get an artist and album I have never heard of.
Not a big fan of Rod Stewart but it's a decent enough listen.
I know this album but first time listening from start to finish. Alice Cooper is great.
Not my favourite Marley album but still a great record.
Never heard of Anita Baker before. Not for me.
I listened to his grandsons album in my 100 albums from 2021, so I have heard of Fela Kuti but never listened before. Cool afrobeat vibes.
I could name several U2 albums that are well known off the top of my head. This is not one of them. It makes me think how many are going to be on this list of 1001....
Hendrix might be the best guitarist. I don't listen to this album nearly as much as I should.
If this wasn't the 'death album' it likely wouldn't have received the reception it did and probably wouldn't have made this list. It's still a solid Bowie album.
I've heard of both him and this album before but I never listened to either. Not for me.
The name is familiar but somehow this band has completely escaped my knowledge despite being up my alley. Giving it a 3 but could move up to 4 with some more listens.
I know of Le Tigre through Kathleen Hanna/Bikini Kill as well as the Nofx connection in Deceptacon. I've never really listened though. Not too bad.
Was tossing up between 4 or 5 stars but this really is a solid album start to finish. Easy to see why it is so important and influential.
Literally never heard of Arrested Development at all. Kind of cool mix of hip hop genres and makes for ok background listening but I can't see myself ever revisiting it.
Amazing album. Probably the Deep Purple album I've heard the most.
Another name that I am familiar with but haven't really listened to. Decent blues album.
Another album that I am familiar with but never really sat down to listen to. Decent but can't see myself listening to it often.
Another artist I am familiar with and have listened to but first time listening through a full album. Decent folk rock which makes for good background music.
Listened to this a fair few times in the car with dad. Pretty solid classic rock album.
The idea of a pop concept album is interesting but this is not for me at all.
I have literally never heard of The Waterboys in my life. Ended up enjoying it more than I thought i would based on the name and cover.
Extremely 80s and not in a good way.
I've been meaning to check out the Yeah Yeah Yeahs but haven't really gotten around to it. Decent post punk stuff.
I have listened to plenty of The Jam but weirdly enough not many of the actual albums, although I am familiar with and have heard this album before
I know i've listened to this once or twice in 2020 or 2021. Decent power pop album.
Early 2000's indie hipster bs.
Cool discovery. Fun 60's Brazilian psychedelic. Will listen again.
First Jazz album on the list. I enjoyed it and would listen again from time to time.
First repeat band on the list. I liked the other album better.
First time I've listened to Brian Eno outside of Roxy Music. Not for me but I guess it's influential for its sampling.
Second Leonard Cohen album to show up. His older gravelly voice gets a bit much for this long but I enjoyed it still.
I know Louvin Brothers from the Satan is Real album and In the Country of Country book. This kind of 50s country is a bit of a guilty pleasure.
The name rings a bit of a bell but i've definitely never heard before. I don't mind some folk but this isn't really for me.
First time listening to Blur proper. Not bad for what it is but definitely too long for its own good.
First live album on the list. Its ok.
Probably the most famous Christmas album but still a Christmas album...
More Byrds related stuff. Kind of sounds like a knock off Dylan.
Not really for me. Better than some hip hop but can't see myself ever relistening to it.
This one is a bit of an oddity but I weirdly kind of enjoyed it.
Pleasantly surprised to see this one here. Unique renowned punk album.
First Kinks album I've actually listened to straight through. I actually quite liked it.
It's fine for what it is
Courtney Love is awful but I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. 3 stars but could move up with more listens.
I really like Van Morrisons vocals. First album I've listened to.
Was unclear what to actual listen to, as the title, wikipedia and cover are all different.
I liked this much more than the other Eno one I got. I would listen to it again.
Bit of a hidden gem. Nice in the background but can't see myself really listening again.
Not for me.
Great new wave album.
Doesn't really do it for me.
It has some ok songs but jsut confirms my belief about double albums. Probably wouldn't listen again.
I thought I would like this more than I did.
Not really a fan of Simon and Garfunkels vocals, but there are some alright tracks on there.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Probably in my top 5.
First time I've listened to this specific Metallica one. Not bad but not really sure why it is on the list.
This is a lot of fun
This is fun. I actually listened to this last year without realizing what it was.
I can appreciate the musicianship and production but its not for me.
It's not too bad but don't really know why it is on the list.
Layla is a great song but the rest is pretty generic blues rock.
Not my favourite Dylan album but it is still excellent.
Not for me but I can see why it was popular
I'm not massive on Pink Floyd but still a solid album.
I've never heard of them before. Not too bad post hardcore. This album was hard to find. *not on Spotify playlist*
Never heard of it before. Kind of boring.
I liked the other one better but fun to have another Beastie Boys.
First time properly listening to the Pixies and I really enjoyed this.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, in a kind of ironic cheesy nostalgic 80s vibe.
First time listening to Manic Street Preachers but I really enjoyed it!
Second pixies album in a week. Never really listened properly before but I am really enjoying them.
I'm trying to get a bit more in to rap but it's the genre I struggle with the most.
Didn't realise the list went up to 2020. Not for me.
Haven't had too much jazz yet. I enjoyed it.
Its fine but don't know if I would really listen again.
Pleasantly surprised to see this here. Very underrated.
Surprised to see a ska album here. Haven't heard of it before but I enjoyed it.
Not my favourite Zappa but cool instrumental album.
Not as familiar as this ccr as others but still solid.
First time listening to Tim Buckley. It wasn't what I expected.
Doesn't really seem very country but enjoyable enough.
Surprised I've never heard of Blue Cheer. Really cool short album. Heavy for its time. Wasn't on Spotify.
Haven't heard much post punk kind of stuff from the 90s. I enjoyed it well enough.
Repeat from other list.
Powerful live blues album.
Never heard the crusaders before but nice jazzy, funky 70s stuff.
Not a fan of her voice.
Recency bias.
3.5-4 but cool innovative album.
Her voice is great but not for me.
Some ok songs
First time listening to Kanye West. Some of the instrumental is ok but I wouldn't listen again.
Kind of boring but some ok stuff.
Its decent but I prefered the other Yeah Yeah Yeahs one.
Great proto punk album
Great hardcore punk album. One of the best.
Not soemthing I would really listen to but I can see why it made it here for its influence.
Wasn't into this at all.
Pretty good live album
His voice takes some getting used to but I like it
I listened to this a few times before.
Boring
It's fine
Great 2tone ska album...probably the best.
Super fun album. Best Beastie Boys i've heard.
