Reviews (page 3 of 14)
Beautiful. I have a massive soft spot for folk. I only knew White Winter Hymnal going in, and always meant to get round to listening to more but never did. Now I wish I had sooner.
Beautiful album and band.
Yup. This is the kind of album I need from this list. Not only it hits all checks my taste-wise, but it's the band I've never even heard of. The music is great. There is no other way to say this. The guitar reminds me of Mike Oldfield's playing. All-around great experience.
I love this album. It was big for me when it came out and it holds up.
love <3
Really enjoyable listen, I will be revisiting this one
A really full-sounding album. I liked the songwriting but the standout is the immersive colour of the sound they create. I thought I knew the White Winter Hymnal because of the Pentatonix, but much prefer the original, much less bland! Charming soundtrack to painting a little pumpkin haha
Beautiful songs of the woods
I very much like this mix of folk, indie, Americana, etc -- and some beautiful harmonies going on throughout this album as well.
Musically this album is just divine. The use of orchestral instruments like a real bass drum (not one part of a drum kit) in Sun It Rises and the flute in Your Protector kicked things up a level for me. Also the almost Gregorian-type chanting was really cool. I think it's hard to use these types of instruments and themes throughout an album whilst still retaining a real folky vibe.

Love white winter hymnal, so I'm excited to get into the whole album. A lovely album, 5*
Right from the words "indie folk," I'll admit, I was a little worried. See, I tend to have this association in my mind between it and, like, insufferably pompous and hipster twee shit. The kind of stuff contemporary critics will just eat up for one reason or another, but for everyone else it's just a nuisance. Now, of course I went into this project with hopes that that line of thought would be proven wrong. I'm not **that** cynical. I just... Had some doubts otherwise. After listening to it, on the one hand, I can hear where I was coming from. "Lookit us with our flannel and our mountain-man beards–aren't we so **cute**?" That sort of sound. If someone upchucked hearing this music, I'd completely get it. However, looking at the other hand, I gotta admit: I'm happy my doubts were largely proven wrong. I tolerated it way better than I thought I would–heck, I wouldn't even say I "tolerated" it. I actually liked it quite a fair bit, thanks largely to this kind of "beautifully dreamy" atmosphere it has. It reminds me a lot of The Beach Boys' PET SOUNDS. I jus' kinda sank into it, and, well, while I never had that same feeling of "Damn, this is the greatest music of all time" I have with PET SOUNDS, it was just so nice to float along this thing's current. It's not too dissimilar to what I get out of some of my favorite dream pop songs. So, yeah, I gotta hand it to Fleet Foxes. I went into this album expecting it to be a "3 at **best**" deal, but listening to it here in the dark as I write this review... Goodness, no, I may just hafta give this thing a 5. It just hits such a wonderfully good mood for me. I can't say "no" to it. And I guess I should take back what I said about their beards, too. Not the flannel, though. Flannel's a bit much. Like, I'm sorry; I know it fits your aesthetic and all, but that's just how it is.
Absolutely breathtaking folk music. Easiest 5 I can give.
I’m at a 5. I’ve been sitting here for the past 15 minutes, and much like I was after Leonard Cohen’s “You Want It Darker,” I’m struggling to find the words to say about this album. It does evoke art in the classical sense to me, much in the same way that album did, but not in terms of a life long lived that I can’t carry the weight of, nor does it feel like I’m staring at the Mona Lisa in a museum or anything. Instead, this feels more like a family portrait in a living room, and all the stories that can be told about the individual members. This album is rich with variance in its soundscape, its storytelling, and its vocal stylings, and it just evokes the same feeling of a family reunion to me, being regaled by stories of places I’ve never been and people I’ve never met, but making them sound grandiose in their own way, whether it’s from a bright point of happiness or making it sound deeply sad. I can carry those stories with me, much like I can digest this album far easier than Leonard Cohen's. I’m smart enough to recognize that not everyone will feel this way – I can easily see someone giving this a 2 or a 3 for being “overplayed 2000s indie rock” and being deathly bored of this general style, which is entirely fair. For my tastes, however, this just clicked beautifully for me – I think every track was great, the vocals were fabulous (especially when layered), and even if a few tracks aren’t “lyrically interesting,” there’s still something to the instrumentation that gave them such depth and charm in a way that can really only be captured and felt while listening to it. I deeply, deeply enjoyed this. It’s an incredibly easy 5 for me.
This is such an uplifting album. The production is lush and the harmonies are beautiful. I think there's a lot of depth to this album that I'll discover on subsequent listens. Liked Songs Added: - White Winter Hymnal - Ragged Wood - Blue Ridge Mountains
Holy shit why have I never listened to these guys before?! I'd heard of Fleet Foxes a lot and for some reason just never looked them up. I have been missing out though because I loved this album! 5 ⭐️
A LOVING AND NOSTALGIC ALBUM
Well I listened to this approximately 6 times in a row on Friday, so I think I’m rounding my 4.5 up to a 5. White Winter Hymnal has been a favorite for years but I wasn’t familiar with the rest of the album. New favorites include Ragged Wood, He Doesn’t Know Why, Your Protector, Blue Ridge Mountain, and Oliver James.
Just gorgeous. I love this album and Fleet Foxes. An album that feels like being in the beautiful woods surrounded by beautiful nature. Individual tracks don't necessarily stand out but I don't mind at all. 4.5/5
Quite whimsical 4.5
mega fajna muzyczka wprawiła mnie w fajny moodzik brzmi jakby tak folkowo trochę mega mega 9.5/10
Beautiful album. This holds a special place in my heart. I must've listened to this album hundreds of times, but I haven't revisited recently. It's not just a pretty folk album, the arrangements are interesting and counter-intuitive. It sounds old and mysterious--as if it was discovered after being lost for hundreds of years. *****
Amazing album. first time listening to FLeet Foxes, my fav artist now.
It's a pleasure to listen to this one again. My sister in law introduced me to this band, along with Avett Brothers, Dawes, Bon Iver and some other Americana folk indie bands that I thoroughly enjoy. I probably would've found these bands on my own sooner or later, but the memories are always better when someone has shared it with you.
Wow, this is probably the best album I've discovered through this project so far. It feels like a mix of 60s sunshine pop, folk, and baroque pop, and I'm really digging it. I'm definitely going to listen to the rest of their stuff. 4.5 stars
The only thing unfortunately about this album coming up is the timing. This is a perfect winter album
I remember taking a little time to fall under the spell of this album when it was released. But when I did I fell hard. It's just really, really nice. Gorgeous harmonies, never too sweet and sugary. Just uplifting a good for the soul.
Unexpectedly great
Cool folk album. Would recommend for Bradley for sure
All-timer
Good
Enjoyable
A beautiful bit of chamber folk. Perfect for a winter’s day.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. The second track is my favorite because I have known it for years. It is hauntingly beautiful as is the rest of the album. I never really considered that I like folk until today. I hope to relisten to this album someday.
This has made me realise I'm biasing a lot towards albums that came out when I was in my 20s but.. I guess that's the case for everyone. I love Fleet Foxes and have seen them live multiple times so was always going to give this a 5. The vocals are clearly the best element - Robin's Pecknold's voice is incredible and the harmonies are stunning. Nice finger picked guitars and other instrumental parts too, which lean into folky sounds. If I have any criticism it's that the album is a little "twee" in the lyrical themes but it's still brilliant.
Millennial CSNY without the messiness of four competing songwriters. The Fleet Foxes pull off what it seems Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers and their ilk seem unable to. Their second album might be a little stronger in terms of having impactful lyrics that communicate the sense of ennui pervasive in our generation. I am their target demographic! Oh well.
Incredible album. Makes me feel like I'm with my friends exploring a forest and later settling by a campfire. The harmonies are beautiful, it almost doesn't even need anything else to be good
It's kinda pretentious, but it's beautiful and a pleasant listen.
One of the best albums ever. I wish I could do half stars because 4.5/5 for sure.
Absolutely love this album. How can you be in a bad mood while listening to it? Literally you can’t. Fav Songs: White Winter Hymnal, Ragged Wood, & Oliver James.
Love this album and “Helplessness Blues”. They just had such a fun sound on these two albums. The harmonies are on point, the lyrics hit in the soul and musically they’re perfect for a summer day in the mountains.
Shakespeare ahh music
I wasn't expecting this. One of those bands I thought would be painful twee disco indie sub par Killers knock offs. Well I was wrong. I was familiar with a few of their songs already but never made the connection. I could write a page dissecting their music but only really have time to say that they have filled a hole left by some bands that proved problematic.* *I hope I haven't spoken too soon
My intro into this genre, and really just about the peak of it. This ethereal, folksy, airy rock is a tough venture and one that often exposed many as cliche. That is not the case for this album, in its weakest points it is still a breath of fresh air and creative genius. At its highest points it is magical transportation to a fairy tale world where you float through the sky and observe the beautiful world below. The falsetto harmonies and the jangly guitar strums are propelled by gorgeous arpeggios and wonderful lyricism. These guys created something special that is not for everyone, but is everything to someone.
Almost optimal chaos for my brain. Half of the tracks are perfect, the other half stray into noise, but barely. Still five stars.
This was the most joy I’ve felt listening to an album in a long time. It might not be the most complex, experimental, or heady album I’ve ever listened to, but the band executed on the concept amazingly. I’ll definitely be coming back to this one
This album is so good. It's modern folk/ alternative and there were some many songs I already knew I liked on it, but many new ones that were great too, like Quiet Houses and He Doesn't Know Why. Blue Ridge Mountains is one of my favorites for a while now and it was a joy to hear it again.
This is an incredible album. Some fantastic and complex indie music. Absolutely love it and will listen many times again
Really relaxing, happy vibe
Oh my, I have never gotten excited by any of the bands presented as much as this one! I went looking for their tour. I'm a fan of choral music, and these guys meld this to rock in a way that just moves me strongly! I also love the contrast of the African influenced bright guitar sound providing a beautiful, bell like contrast to what's going on. There's so much music here! I could get lost in this! Beautiful!!! Can I give it 10 stars?
slappin
Fleet Foxes' debut is at times employing the swerve of instrumental experimentation the band would start utilising heftily on following records, but for the main part is packed with cutesy genteel tunes that'd melt the heart of even the most pessimistic of doomscrollers.
Love this
Now that’s some great millennial music, right there!
Love Love Love this album. I love this album. I looooove this album. This album has all of my love. A pivotal and monumental record in the neo-folk/folk rock/alternative genre. Fleet Foxes capture a vibe that sounds ancient and haunting, rootsy, peasant, and timeless. This album could have come out in 1608, but it still sounds so fresh. Songwriting and instrumentation are incredible and wandering, without sounding like a cheesy ren-faire, and the vocal harmonies are angelic. Simply a unique masterpiece. I remember hearing this album for the first time in 2010 and falling in love, and clearly, I've been smitten ever since. It's been hugely influential to my own musical style too, and helped inspire me to start my guitar journey.
stone cold indie classic
In the late 2000's and early 2010's I had my indie phase, but Fleet Foxes never resonated with me. Too jangly and whimsical, I preferred Arcade Fire and The National and so on. A decade later I can say that my music taste has changed. What a wonderful album. Great harmonies, grand sounding without bombast.
Already an album I love. Lovely to relisten 🤍
Spiritual
Another album that I know well (and a band that I saw live at Boston Calling in 2018). This album is really great, it's definitely top-tier in the indie folk world for me. The sound is just really enjoyable, it's soft and thoughtful with such rich instrumentation throughout. Robin Pecknold has an incredible voice too with great range ("Meadowlarks" is gorgeous). And it's their debut album too, so even more impressive. This is definitely firmly within "my typical genre", but even I'll admit that some music from this era sounds dated now. This one doesn't at all to me though, it's got a very timeless sound that could've fit in just about any era. A masterpiece from Fleet Foxes. A few other minor notes on this one. First, I love the album cover. Apparently it's a 16th century Dutch painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder that they saw in a book. There's just so much going on which makes it visually interesting, and somehow it feels like the perfect fit for the sound of this album (again, timeless sound). Second, I really thought "Mykonos" was on this album, but it was actually on their EP that came out before this, and has not been part of any of their studio releases. A great song that falls through the 1,001 albums cracks. Third, I forgot that Josh Tillman / Father John Misty was their drummer for a bit. I guess he joined for the tour for this album (though he wasn't involved in the recording of it) and then left after recording their second album. So he wasn't super involved in the band really (and seems to have been a pretty terrible bandmate) but interesting that he was in the mix here. Lastly, it's interesting how little music Fleet Foxes have released since this. They have 4 studio albums total (2008, 2011, 2017, 2020) and they've all been critically acclaimed, but that's some huge breaks in between albums. Some artists definitely overdo it though, so I don't think anyone will say that about them. I hope there's some more Fleet Foxes to come on here. Favorite song: White Winter Hymnal Other: Sun It Rises, Ragged Wood, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, Quiet Houses, He Doesn't Know Why, Heard Them Stirring, Your Protector, Meadowlarks, Blue Ridge Mountains, Oliver James 4/23/24
beautiful Americana, soaring harmonies, gentle playing, so relaxing
Ahh that was really nice! Yeah I see why people like them! I was going to go four stars but only because it wasn't immediately familiar I think? (What even is my rating system?) But I want it to be, so I'm going five and I'm excited to get to know it more.
Fleet Foxes' debut sounds like every other indie band before anyone else even had the idea of such a sound. But while many were to come, very few came close to truly imitate what Pecknold created on this almost mythical debut.
Robin Pecknold is a fucking angel. No voice hits my ear as beautifully as his. This album is an indie folk classic. All of the other Fleet Foxes albums slap too. If you're not familiar with these guys and you like this album, I highly recommend you keep going. "Sun It Rises" is a perfectly gorgeous opener. "Ragged Wood" was my introduction to Fleet Foxes and it's still one of my all time favorite indie tunes. All of the other songs are good to great as well. But honestly, there are slightly more lulls in the tracklist here than their following albums. Still a great debut album, I'll give it a 9/10 and round up to 5 stars.
It is clear that this album was the impetus for the indie folk revival that came about in the 2010s, giving way to acts like Bon Iver, The Lumineers, Lord Huron, etc. The risk with the genre is that it can often sound boring or uninspired when it is not crafted properly. On Fleet Foxes, this is certainly not the case at all. The songs here are vibrant, with lush harmonies/instrumentals and interesting compositions. As a listening experience it is dreamlike, deeply nostalgic for a past that, due to the distance of time, has become so hazy it almost feels like a fairy tale. Idk, I just really vibed with this album today. Perhaps, because it was 60 and sunny this morning when I put the record on it resonated with me so deeply. I very much felt like a conifer in the Pacific Northwest shedding snow from its pines in the spring sun, scenery that probably served as inspiration for this record. 5 Fav Songs -White Winter Hymnal -Ragged Wood -Your Protector -Blue Ridge Mountains
Fleet Foxes made lovely alt/folk music that is filled with rich vocal harmonies. Their self-title debut album met with notable critical success. They make upbeat, guitar and mandolin based folk songs, with a warm, near-falsetto sound to their vocals.
White Winter Hymnal Ragged Wood Blue Ridge Mountains
good day to listen :)
fuck yeah
Fleet Foxes shall not be fleeting for me.
Would I listen again: 5 Vocals: 5 Instrumentation: 5 Arrangement: 5 Lyrics: 5 Would I recommend: 5 Also a Great album cover. I thought I was listening to, trampled by turtles (Minnesota), a band I adore. Perhaps not for everyone but for me, this one is keeper)
Amazing.
Gentle mid noughties indie folk. Very traditional folk in style and theme, with lots of references to nature and the seasons. A relaxing listen and a really, really lovely album. Rating: 4.5/5 Playlist track: White Winter Hymnal Date listened: 28/03/24
yup
Didcovered a new happy band to me
Fire harmonies. Great album. Wish they had more like this.
A tour de force debut album with dense melodies and harmonics. A true wonder of an album that bursts with spring energy and lifts the spirit.
I can never get enough fleet foxes. I’ve been blasting White Winter Hymnal for over ten years now.
I was not prepared for this. I haven’t mad music hit me like this in a long time. There’s something so joyful about it.
The other kind of soul music
this has some beautiful vocal harmonies that reminds me mostly of the beach boys, in a way its has a lot of similarities with pet sounds. its very well produced with a great atmosphere. the songs sound exactly like the cover too. lovely album in all aspects. i want to get more into this one, but i think its pretty good already.
I had never heard of Fleet Foxes before. Really wonderful album. I would like to go back and listen again.
This has to be one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in my life. The level of production, attention and love every song received in this album is outstanding. La música se supone que te hace sentir cosas, y este álbum me hizo sentir muchas.
Amazing proyect. genuinamente me sentí como si estuviera en un folk ahh town with folk ahh goblins making fire folk music
I listened to this on constant rotation when it was new. I’m a Seattle area native and huge Sub Pop fan, so this was right in my sweet spot. I saw them live in 2008, not long after this was released- great live band. Brings back many memories. Phenomenal debut album. It’s interesting how “White Winter Hymnal” has started to appear on holiday radio/playlists in recent years. Didn’t think of it as a Christmas season tune when it was new, but it works.
Big fan. Solid chill vibes and feel like maybe I had heard of them before.
AMAZING LEADS
Another irresistible 2000s-era indie record, that like its Bruegel painting album art, hides a wealth of detail to be uncovered, stuff you might have missed the first time around. When I first heard this record, I knew it came with a lot of accompanying hype, and I was quick to dismiss it, perhaps because I wanted to play spoiler or it couldn't live up to impossibly high expectations. Before long I was revisiting it and have been proven wrong again and again ever since. Dense with a rainbow of Beach Boys-inspired harmonies, a depth of affecting songwriting, and richly strummed folk arrangements, it's truly one of the high water marks of its decade. Pretty rare that a band or songwriter manages to put it all together so quickly in their career; Robin Pecknold is a gift and an unreal vocal talent.
A nearly flawless album.
When this album came out and was the talk of the music press, I kept it at arms length and chose not to engage with it. It finally crept up on me after their superior follow-up album (Helplessness Blues) and I saw them live. Take every folk album before this one and throw it in the bin. Start here. This is the pinnacle of folk music up to this point. It's mature and real and gorgeous.
Very beautiful folk, melodic album! The harmonies are fantastic as well as the compositions themselves. There's just something special about these songs, they're very soothing in a way. Standout tracks: Sun It Rises, White Winter Hymnal, Ragged Wood, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, He Doesn't Know Why, Your Protector, Blue Ridge Mountains, 9 out of 10
Good shit.
One of the most beautiful albums I’ve ever heard. It’s got a special magic to it. I don’t even think about the instrumentation on a lot of these songs. The music is just this singular, gorgeous sound. I think the vocal harmonies have a lot to do with this. The backing vocals often melt into the rest of the sound and create a backdrop for the band to play over. Robin Pecknold is a tremendous talent. He has a beautiful voice and his songwriting is excellent. The songs nod to old traditions but still sound new and unfamiliar. That’s one of the magic, paradoxical things about this album. It somehow feels completely fresh and also old at the same time. I guess that’s just a long-winded way of calling it timeless.
This is really a great inclusion on this list, and gives me hope that there is a better grasp of modern bands that deserve to be on this list than I sometimes think and give the author(s) credit for. Fleet Foxes are one of the best modern indie bands, and this is probably the album they are known the most for. "White Winter Hymnal", like so many other songs, is memorably beautiful, unique, catchy, and exciting. I used to listen to this while commuting to college and starting to warm my voice up for choir class. "Ragged Wood" is a constant road trip sing/scream along song for my wife and I. Love this album cover, and I love these old medieval depictions. It's like a "Where's Waldo?" of "Where's someone getting murdered?" or "Where's the Lute player who is serenading someone else's wife?" They are all so jam packed with little stories. It's a modern classic that I think I will listen to forever. If I could be reborn and got to choose a singer to be molded after, I think I would take the tone of Robin Pecknold.
I really like Fleet Foxes. They have the perfect mix of rock+folk acoustic guitar and neo-folk vocals. Always a sucker for the background vocals. Album as a whole is very musically consistent and I love it. 5/5.
What a luscious indie folk album, Fleet Foxes create some gorgeous music
The sounds and vocals - everything - amazing. My prior experience with Fleet Foxes comes from Mykonos, one of my favorite songs of all time. Other than that, I’d never heard another Fleet Foxes song. I was missing out. Each song was unique and yet part of the greater whole. I will be revisiting this one a lot.
Perfect reminds me of CSNY
LOVE Fleet Floxes. Always a pleasure while at work.
First album from 'my era' and first time I've listened in a while, a fantastic album, sounded amazing 15 years on as I have some better headphones now ! Actually their best song from this era was Mykonos on an EP, if you like this album then check out this track also
VERY GOOD
Beautiful, sensual, soulful, wonderful This album was miles better than most everything you have given me to date. Seriously I see from reviews that some don't like it as it is not their style; that's okay. But it is so much better than the Taylor Swift and Beyonce stuff you have previously thrown my way I would give it 4.5 stars, but alas, no half stars here so it gets a 5
A timeless album that I think will age incredibly well
One of my favorites
LOVE IT
I love Fleet Foxes so much. I’ve been listening to them pretty regularly since this album came out. Sometimes they’re just the right mood to be on in the background and enjoyed passively. Sometimes you want the perfect song while you drive. Sometimes you decide to listen more closely and realize how incredibly talented the entire band is. They’re like The Beach Boys if they lived in the mountains. This album is probably the most straightforward of theirs, but that’s not a bad thing at all. I love it.
Well produced album, a standout for the indie folk. Fleet Foxes has a great relaxing quality to it and perfect for easy mornings or late nights. Blue Ridge Mountians, White Winter Hymnal are standouts from this album that get inside your head. Mykonos is a B-side, but among my favorite FF songs.
Dreamy and wonderful, a wall of vocals, reminds me of 3 parts, Mumford and sons and folk bluegrass, andPet Sounds. Loved this album the first time I heard it.
I’ve been listening to music like this lately and it feels like I needed this album at this point in my life. my favorites: “quiet houses,” “meadowlarks.”
I would describe myself as a metal/prog-rock lover. While there has been some pretty good albums on this list up til now, this album is truly worth listening to! (I listened to it twice on a row) This is also the first album on the 1001 list that I downloaded for permanent “rotation” for my ears enjoyment…
Hah! This album I know very well, and I love it!
Loved this album. Reminded me of Crosby Stills Nash and Young...with a bit of America thrown in!
I really liked this band I've never heard them b4. Folky but not the same old thing.
Loveb
One of the first albums I ever heard because a friend was discussing and not because of radio or my parents. Never really need to hear WWH again but they're an eternal fave sorry
It evokes strong folky feelings and it's an excellent of singing in the round done well.
That's radioparadise.com sound.
classic, magical album. incredibly unique and memorable. a perfect album.
Wow I thought I was pretty lukewarm on fleet foxes but that was so good 😭
Heavy nostalgia factor but I love this album. One of the most angelic voices out there. Feels like I’m listening to some bard playing the lyre in the Middle Ages
Already had fleet foxes on best of reddit picks
Jesus christobal this rocks my duodenum
I'm a slut for shit like this
probably a 4/5 but giving a 5 for nostalgia
Again and again and again. I will always love Fleet Foxes.
I really want to give this a 4.5, but I’m re listening to it and enjoying it so I’ll bump it up to 5
Good album
Fleet Foxes came at just the right time for me. I was a huge fan of this album when I first listened to it, and I still enjoy it today. So many great songs with great harmonies! And the pastoral renaissance feeling the album gives you felt so fresh at the time. Great stuff.
Brilliant
just stunningly beautiful across the entire album. Each song is precious and crafted with care they feel ancient and new at the same time.
I was following the I was following the
Fantastico 4.5
Chill
Not for me
Brilliant album
There are some really interesting structures and sounds that Fleet Foxes use. This was a really refreshing album to listen to and I loved the calm and positive vibes.
How have I never heard of this before??? This is my jam, folksy earnest singer songwriters with great melodies and harmonies. It's very Band of Horses-ish vibes and I loved it wholly.
Odlično.
Classic
One of my favorite bands. What an album, feels like going hiking... Amazing from start to finish
Very good. I see a lot of influence here that’s shown in other more recent alt music
Amazing - incredible engineering. A lot of sample worthy songs. Cohesive top to bottom. I really like the artwork too
Simply brilliant.
Loved every second of it!
A perfect one to pop up for the weather getting colder. Reflective, beautiful, melodic, impeccably crafted. Not for everyone or every mood, and no, they’re not “authentic” country woodsmen, but who really cares? Probably the only thing I can fault it for is spawning a few too many sub-par imitators. Best song: Ragged Wood
I did not expect to give this a five, but I think this album deserves it. Fleer Foxes create a cohesive vibe throughout, with lush arrangements and sincere vocals. This sounds like it could be the soundtrack to a day in Hudson, New York or at least a drive up there. I’m hearing the influence of CSN and Paul Simon, but it still sounds modern to me.
One of my favourite albums
Whimsical, wild, poetic, and genre defining indie. Great album
I really enjoy this album. It's like every flavour of ice cream with the bonus you never feel sick or tired of having it.
LOVE THIS ALBUM! Such amazing lyrics and vibes. This is the kind of music I love.
Country and relaxing music. So far so good. (song 1: Sun It Rises)
Grateful that this project gave a chance to this album! Renaissance/Baroque music lover is amazed and satisfied!
Great album
Solid all-around folky music, lovely instruments.
Loved the lyrics above all else. Poetry with an incredibly beautiful accompaniment.
god when you know, you know. i’d placed my vinyl order before i even finished the record. what a sound and what a place it takes you to. this is my hozier.
GENERAL - Listened on laptop and broken bose headphones. Indie folk album Very folksy giving oral history Folklore into country strum Vocals are not country though at all Very soft warm lyrical vocal stacks Banjo and fingerstyle guitar Electric guitar and harmonic shift at 1:36 ish Electric guitar motif feels really irish??????? Drums do too Electric guitar is slightly fuzzed? Return to first theme - choral vibe one Instrumental electric guitar interesting rhythm/time signature Campfire vibes off the bat Same thick vocal stacks Campfire folklore story Lyrical material tells story of him telling young brother type figure about a memory of when little bro was younger Thick chord progression Background vocals one ear, mirrored by identical guitar in the other Heavy heavy heavy drum. Feels african? Feels very country yet alternative? Percussion very country Guitar n vocals are very alt tho Electric guitar takes over for acoustic guitar. They're on top of one another but electric guitar is much more prevenlent and an octave down Vocals so so so so so so raw. Some stacks but main vocal is suuuuuuuuper raw Revisit pulled back instrumentation Some bass "electric guitar" but functioning as a bass but it stands out Electric guitar motif. Harmonic minor? idk some weird scale. OOOOOO B side of song in 5/4 or 5/8. Feels very sea shanty-y Vocals or instruments not really but the rhythm Hook goes back into standard time Longest song on album Major minor chord progression on top of minor standard TBD pretty bare instrumentals for now Self loathing outdoor adventure Fully panned guitar parts to each ear Really unique vocal production - look into later Quite bare with a lot of time-based vocal effects Country vibe Very simplistic lyrics Repeating thoughts in head as if Twangy guitars, same full pan technique Synthesizer usage Left ear shaker Quiet houses title referring to the emptiness after he's done singing "lay me down" Ending really interesting chord progression, feels very thematic. film scoring core. scoring a scene that the listener inferences from lyrical context Choral harmony from the beginning Reminding me of the mountain goats. mixing two production elements in post-verse choral motif Chorus/climax very heavy then pull Adds depth through no longer pulling and a lot more vocal stacks Initial choral motif is back with thick post-chorus intrumentals Piano comes in with jazzy gospel thing Giving decent into underworld Taking piano theme and dragging it down to hell Banjo slayyyyyyyyy Additional sfx panned middle when most instruments are far panned Gong/really heavy crash used as primary heavy percussion. shaker and other percussion Opens with flutes. 3 different parts? Lyrically intimate. uses religious allegory tamborine action power chords right organ synth left systems kinda rhythm rhythmic bassline alongside tambourine arp-y bouncy guitar matched by other guitar and vocal harmony on other side LEFT OFF AFTER YOUR PROTECTOR
This album is a perfect example of everything working together to serve the song. The haunting harmonies on vocals, sparse but effective lead guitar, even the drums are so complimentary to the overall purpose of each track. What a knock out debut. Even though I don’t think Pecknold and co would ever top this effort, the follow up albums are nearly as good and well worth listening to.
Great album
Noice
I love this album so much
Album 167 of 1001 Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes Rating : 5 / 5 Favorite Tracks : Blue Ridge Mountains Excellent album. Totally new to me. Made me ponder over how I approach the 1 - 5 rating system. I can easily recommend this one.
I don't normally love this folk music, but, it was raining today so I feel obligated to give it the 5 stars listening to folk music in the rain deserves
Probably the best folk/indie/whatever album front to back, or at least top 5. Best Fleet Foxes album too (though the other 3 are excellent).
4.5/5
I really liked this one, I'm giving it a 5 but it's actually probably like a 4.5, you know it's not something I instinctually love but i still really like it it's nice yeah, good job Mr Foxes.
White winter hymnal is one of my favourite songs so this album was a hit. I did like the slower pace and melancholy feel of it but definitely an album you have to be in the right mood for.
An absolutely gorgeous sounding album!
Fantastic album
i really loved this. it felt very nostalgic/rustic, great sound.
One of my favorite bands. Putting that right up top, because this is getting five stars from me. This is one of the greatest folk albums of the 2000s, and it may still be my least favorite Fleet Foxes album. While they continued to grow in complexity on future releases, this is folk at its most pure. The melodies are on point, the instrumentation is dense without overwhelming, and the HARMONIES! My god, those harmonies. Robin Pecknold is such a talented songwriter, and this release is where he first proved that to the world.
Excellent!
great indie rock album
Shoots me straight on back to being a teen in WA in the aughts. I love everything about this album. When I rated Pet Sounds a while back, I noted that it laid the groundwork for music to come. This is a perfect example of an album that ran because Pet Sounds walked. Beautiful, clever and original melodies that JUST WORK. So much yes, so much beauty and enjoyment.
Beautiful music and excellent lyrics. I like the patterning of words and phrases across the different songs. For example, variations on the phrases ‘come home’ and ‘lay down’. The patterns create strange emotional ambiguities as the phrases are repeated with slightly different meanings.
I'm a big sucker for vocal harmonies, mostly from an obsession with Mother Mother's earlier albums. So with that, this album really hit that nice spot for me, lush vocal harmonies and instrumentals that are a bit low-key but fit very nicely to the vibe that was being set here. Added quite a few songs to the list, though some were kind of weak in the back half I'm still giving this 5 stars as it's really an impressive and unique debut album.
Already heard!
Perfect. Loved it.
I loved this. Sounds very 2000's folk music in the best way.
I’m uncertain of if I’ve come across Fleet Foxes before. The name seems a little familiar, but I can’t say why. Apparently they’re very folky, which sounds like it could be interesting. Let’s listen and find out! Songs I already knew: White Winter Hymnal Favourites: White Winter Hymnal, Heard Them Stirring It turns out I’m at least familiar with one sec, so maybe I have come across their name before after all! I love the vocals in this. I wonder if they’re considered to even have a lead singer, as everything seems so choral. Having being in an amateur choir previously myself, I know how one faulty note anywhere can really affect the sound, but the vocals here are pristine throughout. The music is interesting from front to back - nothing seems overly generic, and everything sounds inspiring and creative. An easy recommend, but at the same time I can see how it may not be for everybody’s tastes.
A great way to start the morning, smooth guitar, great sounds.
Loveddddd this album when it came out 😭😭 was my high school boyfriends favorite band LOLOL
I'd been meaning to listen to Fleet Foxes because I got the impression I'd probably like them. I ended up loving this album. I understand why it's on the list; it's a strong album and well produced. Will definitely be listening to this more.
Love this album. Probably my least favorite FF album at this point (4 albums deep) but it is still a masterpiece. 5/5
Love
Excellent album
This is the type of music that I love! The perfect mix of indie, folk, and chamber pop. Pretty solid debut album. Also, the artwork is awesome; it perfectly captures what you’re bound to hear on the record. I’ll definitely be going to this in the future. Favorite Songs: Sun It Rises, Ragged Wood, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, Quiet Houses, and Heard Them String.
I’ve never listened to this band and don’t know what I was expecting but 10/10 literally perfect, immediate love
Me pareció un discazo. Es la definición de sentir que volás. Música super tranquila y para relajar. Me da vibras a los beatles. Creo que es el primer disco de los que me recomendaron acá que no conociera y que quisiera volver a escuchar en el futuro.
Didn't care for it on the first listen, but gave it another chance and it really grew on me in a major way. This is a beautiful, cozy album that feels like a warm cup of morning coffee. Not normally my type of music, and I feel ridiculous for that.
Our Ton’s favourite band. Brings me back to summer 2018… watching the stars from our campsite in the Yorkshire Dales… or driving through the munroes and Lochs of the Isle of Skye… Sentimentality aside, I can’t really find a weak link to this album. Helplessness Blues is catchier, but both are top tier. Five: deployed
I’m a sucker for this type of music. I love the harmonies, they’re so impeccable. ‘Heard Them Stirring’ is actually one of the best songs on the record in my opinion - I love the way the guitar sounds throughout, and it takes center stage on this instrumental. ‘Blue Ridge Mountains’ is amazing, too. It’s all just modern folk at its finest.
Beautiful album. I'm embarrassed that I've never really listened to it until now.
Love. Thanks Jay for bringing this to me. Concert in 2009. Beautiful harmony like CSNY.
I love Fleet Foxes. Ever since my sister got me to listen to their EP, Sun Giant, which had the song Mykonos on it, I was hooked. I've listened to this album many times before. White Winter Hymnal, and Blue Ridge Mountains are simply beautiful. I love this "chamber rock/folk" type music, which was big in the 00's - 10's. Fleet Foxes sound a lot like Boy & Bear and Mumford & Sons. The harmonies that they can hit on this record are simply beautiful, and the imagery they spin through their lyrics is amazing. I love the folk instruments (mandolin, woodwinds, upright bass, violin). It is so calming and peaceful. Really good vibes every time I listen to these guys. Favourite songs: White Winter Hymnal, Oliver James, Blue Ridge Mountains, Ragged Wood, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, He Doesn't Know Why, Your Protector Least favourite songs: If forced to pick, Quiet Houses 5/5
Beautifully created and personally meaningful, an album full of rebirth, renewal, natural, spiritual. Simple but complicated harmonies and arrangements abound to leave a truly individual, unique and compelling work of art. And you can sing along to it. Inspired.
This really is just an incredibly beautiful album. I'm not usually big on folk music, but some albums are just undeniable. It's soft and elegant, and suffused with exquisite vocals. The music is overall simple and driven by acoustic guitar, but it complements the vocals perfectly 5/5
Fleet Foxes debuted right at the end a decade I spent mostly living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Fleet Foxes gave me the ability to take with me the feeling of sitting atop a mountain and taking in the misty valley below. It also came out a decade after Korn's "Follow the Leader," yesterday's album that couldn't be more different from "Fleet Foxes." And while "Follow the Leader" heralded some dark days ahead for popular music, Fleet Foxes represented an emergence from the tunnel. The light at the end of the tunnel had been visible for a while, after a few years of descending into the darkness, but the light had been growing ever-brighter thanks to "indie" slowly retaking the rock reigns from nu-metal thanks to the efforts of The Shins, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Modest Mouse, and many more. "Fleet Foxes" felt a bit like a culmination of a decade that started so dark, now coming back into the light. As the opening track declared - "the sun, it will rise." And it let me take the Blue Ridge Mountains with me wherever I went.
Beautiful album
J'ai vraiment trouvé ca super bon. Rafraichissant, ca sonne comme plusieurs band qui on sortit du matériel semblable dans ces années. Je suis surpris et je ne connaissais pas alors je suis très heureux. 5
Feels like I've been on a pretty meh album run lately so I was SO stoked to see this one come up. I knew some of the tracks but not all, and hearing it all brought together made for a pleasant listening experience! I've definitely spent more time with Josh Tillman (Father John Misty)'s solo works than his Fleet Foxes contributions but I see some similarities in the folk choir sounds - which I love. 5/5
Duh.
Gorgeous album by a special band. 5/5
Ive been wanting to get into these guys since this album's release... why not yet, I don't know.
Beautiful album.
One I already know and love. Hadn't listened to it in a while though so thanks for the reminder 1001 albums generator!
Banger album banger band
Listened before, enjoyable
One of my favourites.
This is a wonderful album, and it has just gotten better over the years. It reminds me of taking the Amtrak to Holden village with my sister - we wanted to listen to something that felt like going west, and it was just the ticket. The fact that it's a debut album is amazing, the package is fully formed and very mature.
I've always loved Fleet Foxes but didn't really go deep with them until I listened to their album "Crack-Up". Since then I haven't followed their discography very closely, but I appreciate how little it seems their musical core has changed over the years. They've created a world and left a door open to it ever since. Even as the Fleet Foxes grew more ambitious with their arrangements and writing styles in the years following their eponymous album, would-be departures from this musical home still call it to mind as the place from which we left and to which we always will return. I do think that Robin Pecknold has become a much better singer since this album was released, but besides that it feels like the world of the Fleet Foxes has remained more or less unchanged since its inception. Lyrically, melodically, harmonically, sonically, this music almost always rings the right bells for me. I always get the impression that their music is a big, white, billowing sheet of silk trailing behind a slow-moving plane. Robin Pecknold's voice soars prismatically over hazy pastures of fading green and brown and blue. It's always some time between the end of fall or the quiet onset of winter here, as the listener huddles by a gentle fire, the tip of their nose still a bit cold. Maybe there's an ocean nearby. Every once in a while a flowing run or an especially sharp lyric will pierce the veil and strike me deep in my belly. Pecknold's lyrics always tease towards an open end, a restless urge, an unfinished investigation, in such a way that has me nodding solemnly to their implied questions: "Isn't it beautiful? Isn't it tragic?" The language calls to mind some deep and abiding pastoral mythology, yet for the most part still feels confidently unadorned. I love "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". The beginning guitar parts remind me a lot of Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat", but Pecknold's flowing melodies are unbounded from a strophic frame in a way that sets the song apart from its here-presumed inspiration. Past that I don't have too many specific points to hit on this album. It feels like a long and gentle flight over a pastoral landscape, as the humble denizens below attempt to make the most out of what precious daylight hours remain.
I mean, what to even say. Ambitious and full of joy. Re-listening to it, I’m struck by how much heart is clearly in the making of this album, especially in Robin Pecknold’s vocal performances. There’s really nothing like it… he’s laying it all on the line for some of these recordings. It’s easy to take a backseat listen to “Fleet Foxes,” to keep it on in the backdrop and largely tune out to its arrangements, its lyrics. But poking under the surface is a real, joyful world that they carved out on this album. It’s a sound that feels like it’s always been there, but it hasn’t… it’s fully unique to this record! There are plenty of influences to string the story along, and I especially noticed some of the psychedelic folk influences this time around. But it’s really a world unto its own, which is easy to forget after 15 years. A monumentally ambitious sound, confidently realized on a debut album. 5 well-deserved stars.
Oh boy, this album was a crucial part of my upbringing. I recently returned to it a few months ago because Fleet Foxes came to Philly and I needed to brush up on some of my old favorites before I saw them live. Every member of my household had Fleet Foxes playing 24/7, often different albums coming from different rooms. Given the nature of Fleet Floxes, this actually sounded pretty good. I came out of the experience loving them even more. Almost every song on this album is a stand alone jam for me. Some highlights include White Winter Hymnal, Your Protector, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, and Blue Ridge Mountains. I’m appreciating some of the less popular songs on the album like Meadowlark. What a stunning song. I missed it back in 2008, but if seems like a song I’ll listen to over and over again. Blue Ridge Mountains is one of the bands’ greatest achievements. There is something special about loving a song over the course of many years and returning to it at just the right times. I can’t review this album without mentioning the Bruegel the Elder painting as cover art. It’s actually a detail from the larger painting. If you look closely you can pick out the strange happenings—people on fire, carving live animals, a man releasing a snake into the river. Everyone is up to their own “foolishness,” and the effect as a whole is beautiful and chaotic. I love this album. I want to give it a 5/5, but I do Helplessness Blues and Shore better. But I realize 5/5 albums are like best friends: you can have more than one! So this album is a 5 for me.
The mid-late aughts are the absolute peak of the indie rock genre in my eyes, and this album is a perfect example. Gorgeous harmonies and guitar playing. White Winter Hymnal is one of my favorite songs of all time.
And now I know who Lord Huron's favorite band is. "White Winter Hymnal" is one that I've heard before and quite like. When I first heard that this was a folk album, I was a bit skeptical, but his album was a home run.
This was overdue for a relisten, and I didn't realize how much I liked it. I just love the lyricism and how BIG it sounds, I don't know how else to say. "Your Protector," "Ragged Wood," "White Winter Hymnal," and "Blue Ridge" are probably my fave tracks.
Big love for Fleet harmonies. This album has been in heavy evening rotation for years.
Loved it! I recognized some songs that I didn't know were by Fleet Foxes so enjoyed that added context.
huge fan
Love this album. Great folk music at its best. Like S&G at their best.
I think Hampus would have liked this
Yritin lähestyä fanipoikailematta ja kriittisesti, mutta kyllähän tää sydämen vei taas jo kolmannen biisin kohdalla. Jos jollain levyllä on melodiat 5/5, niin se on tämä.
There isn't a single moment on this album that I didn't like. Lush acoustic guitars, droning organs, booming tom drums, and a soft dusty voice all contribute to the resulting warm indie-folk sound. The chords and melodies are drenched in typical indie melancholy, but the album's supreme charm helps to disguise its cliches. I love it.
One of the best indie albums ever. Such an easy listen & super relaxing. Fav song: Your Protector
One of my favorite albums of the 2010’s indie era. Bearded angels
I love this album. I listened to it a lot when it came out.
Love this album- it brings back great memories!
Always loved this record
I really really dig it
There's never a wrong time for Fleet Foxes.... which is why I'm never allowed to DJ at parties.
Oh, this was a happy discovery! I am sure I have heard "White Winter Hymnal" before somewhere, but I wasn't familiar with Fleet Foxes before. I happily listened 3+ times today. I am intrigued by the sprinkling of random names in the songs. Who is Michael? Who is Jesse? Sean? All the songs are my favorite! "White Winter Hymnal" is a beautiful piece with its harmonies, instrumentation, and percussion. "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" and "Your Protector" are both beautiful and a little scary. "Meadowlarks" and "Blue Ridge Mountains" are just lovely and timeless (except for that connecting flight reference). This is a group I can't wait to hear more from, and the rare occasion where I want to go to the bonus discs!
I've heard of Fleet Foxes but I've never listened to them. If I've heard any of these songs before, I think I probably assumed it was a group from the 60s or early 70s. I'm reminded of Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Neil Young. Lyrics have a specificity that give them emotional heft beyond the usual clichés. Very nice indeed.
I was not expecting this... I have heard of Fleet Foxes and vaguely remembered them as an indie band. This was not what I expected. The musicians are exquisite. The music is exquisite. I loved every song. Some of the particular ones that really stood out on this stand out album included "White Winter Hymnal", "He Doesn't Know Why", "Your Protector", "Meadowlarks", and "Blue Ridge Mountains." But every song is worth listening to. This is a really special album that I am so thankful to now know.
Loved this. Need more Fleet Foxes. That's all there is to say.
Love this album. It feels like a warm blanket. The layers of sounds in each song are lovely.
This is a formative album for me personally as it was the push that got me to get into independent music. Aside from my personal attachment to this album and band, it is excellent musically. This album takes influences from the Beach Boys, the British folk revival, and others to create a textured soundscape that evokes a certain timelessness. The songs on this album sound like they could have been written yesterday or 50 years ago. They draw upon pastoralism while discussing modern themes of belonging and one's role in the world. Furthermore, this album is immediately accessible due to Robin Pecknold's giftedness with melody.
Uvijek drag srcu.
Immaculate
The first album I've drawn that I already have loved for years! I wrote so many papers to this in college a decade ago and still keep coming back.
It’s so nice. The sound is fantastic, love the quality of the background vocals. Hearing the production on this album makes me wish my favorite albums from the 60s and 70s could’ve been recorded with today’s better sound equipment. Feels so fresh
What can I say but I'm a sucker for this type of indie folk. I've always loved and it is just scratches an itch. Yeah there is a lot of similarity but I can't help it, I just eat this shit up.
great album. an easy listen that doesn't get old or repetitive.
Already a fan, but incredible album. Instrumentation is wide and full. Songs are direct and compelling.
A beautiful and immersive album. One that sounds not of any time, and is incredibly coherent. Adore it. 5/5
Ah this is such a special album to me. I had it on CD and it was a gift when I was about 16. It's absolutely stunning and has done me a solid many times over the years when I've been anxious and this album has instantly relaxed me. Your Protector is a huge highlight and also Meadowlark. I don't know if I've ever heard anything like Fleet Foxes anywhere else, the harmonies and the voices are so unique and absolutely stunning and this is their best album ever. The artwork is iconic too. It looks so dry at first but the more you look closely there's all kinds of unusual and exciting things going on!
Very unique and good indie album with songs I already enjoy. White Winter Hymnal and Ragged Wood are the faves. Strength of the album with some favorites pushes it from a 4.5 to a 5.
Beautiful album
An easy 5, been a long time fan, just love the atmosphere.
Obožavam
might be perfect?
Very chill and good sound!
An indie folk great
Fells like they invented a nee genre with this album. If it has a weakness it is that is lacks an emotional theme that resonates with me. Red squirrels etc. Cover art 5/5 Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Who'd have thought a painting from 1559 could make a great cover..
Love this album!
One of the best folk albums of the last 20 years
awesome indie - 10/10 favorite song is probably Blue Ridge Mountains, I’m a sucker for that naturey indie stuff - Vashti Bunyan type stuff
This is a really amazing album. Totally unique and beautiful. I've listened to this a few times and always liked it, especially White Winter Hymnal. I was thinking 4 stars, but on listening to it again I'm going to go with 5 stars.
So fast so good
This was a really really good album. Definitely my kind of music and I’d never heard of them before. Fav: white winter hymnal
I now this album! :-)
One of my favourites, always puts me in a good mood. I slightly prefer helplessness blues but this is still great
Holiday cheer may have inspired me to give this a more favorable rating, but it _is_ a great album
A classic. Means a lot to me. Heavenly vocals, incredibly well crafted songs. personal highlight: Your Protector, Ragged Wood and Oliver James.
Chills
Big fan of this album since it came out.
Indie folk royalty at its finest. If you like folk, you'll love this.
Oh my god I'm a little biased because I already knew of this album, but seriously I love it. The highly emotional vocal performance, the almost classical elements of the compositions, the timeless feel of the lyric content and music, the masterful production. A nearly perfect album that has resonated with me since I first listened to it, no matter what walk of life I'm at.
Outstanding. Loved it as a kid -- like it even more now. Blue Ridge Mountains is a damn near flawless song and the album has some killer mystique. 5/5
A classic of my generation
This folk rock album is not something that stands out in any way as being original or groundbreaking. This reason it is on the list is the unbelievable quality of the songs, great instrumentation and fantastic vocals. "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" is one of my all-time favorite songs. The album cover by Pieter Bruegel is so fitting and the story about getting permission to use it by the museum is heartwarming. It's filling a hole that I was not aware it did exist.
I remember the hype about this, but it really wasn't my type of music, so never really paid heed. Listening closely now, it's actually really quite lovely. Beautiful melodies, his voice is stunning, evocative, emotional, arrangements vary between sparse, spine-shivering, and orchestral and rich. Of course there are still plenty of folky and americana bits that just isn't my taste in music, but really they don't bother me. I'm actually quite baffled and amazed about what is it about this album that I like so much, given my strong aversion to folk music. I can't believe it, but am I about to give a 5 to a folk album?? Favourites: White Winter Hymnal of course (sang it in my choral group) Meadowlarks - beautiful sparse arrangement, maybe a bit too much reverb
Fantastic album. Been jamming it since it came out
Perfect.
One of those albums that spawned an entire genre of people trying to copy it and nobody else even came close.
LOVED IT!!!!
forever a fan of fleet foxes
Perhaps the best folk album to spawn since the new millenium began. Robin Pecknold's voice and the bands talent is obvious, and they create some of the most beautiful harmonies you'll ever hear.
Love it
this album is so good!! i loved this!! dont usually like folk either :))
Really nice!! Some beautiful and well performed vocal melodies. It seemed the second half was a lot weaker than the first, but i’m not sure if it was a difference in quality or the sound getting a bit monotonous. Still a really cool album, 9/10
Beautiful!!!
Amazing album.
Nice album to listen to, very well made and good quality👌🏽
Herlig folk! Føles utrolig varmt og organisk i både vokal og instrumental, og veksler mellom oppløftende og melankolsk. Dette kommer jeg nok til å høre mye på fremover!
About as near perfect as you can get.
Toll und anders als jedes andere Folk Album das ich kenne
Way better than exptected
Fantastische, rustgevende muziek met veel harmonieën in de zang en gitaarspel. Deze zal ik met plezier nog eens opzetten!
Excellent...love this album to bits 😍
Modern classic. Love it!
Crazy album that evokes a lot of positive and bittersweet emotions.
Indie folk. Reminded me of Zorbing
This is a delicious 5
