I never want to hear this man again in my life Terrible. Absolutely terrible It was like bad stand up comedy over a jazz band. But he wasnt funny, and even his talking voice grated on me. And the audience laughing made it even worse, because his ramblings weren't even funny I was begging for this one to end 1 ⭐️
Sounds like a bunch of children were let loose with instruments and a sound effect machine. And to top it off you have the mumbling and random shouting which sounds like someone on a drug binge. Couldn't distinguish any of the songs from eachother. 36 mins of assault to my ears Don't listen with headphones - save yourself from the offensive screeches. The worst song for me was "Sentimental Journey" - what I imagine the inside of a microwave sounds like. Also includes birds/clown horn and bottles being smashed repeatedly. Lyrics include - " Table. Chairs. TV. Books. Other stuff". To the 5 (!!!) writers who wrote those lyrics - I hope you didn't give up the day job Terrible 1 ⭐️ but wish I could give it less
Always exciting to see a band you like come up on this list! Really enjoyed this one, and included some classic songs! 5 ⭐️
I have many thoughts. But before the haters come for me - Beyonce has an amazing voice, I just don't like her music This was just bad. The rapping (not sure I can call it that?) was not good. I grew up listening to destiny's child, and I think Beyonce has some great songs from earlier in her career. But this album is a big no for me. I'd have enjoyed it more if she sang ballads rather than this generic radio crap Everytime I start getting into a song, the beat changes and it seems like a complete different song. Odd choice "I sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker" - sounds like something a 13 year old would come up with. Speaking of the lyrics - so many people co-writing, and thats the best they could come up with? I hated drunk in love when it came out, and can confirm I still hate it now Flawless was particularly offensive on my ears. Terrible The only song I like is XO - and only because I love the John Mayer cover and I thought it was his original song Also the thought of her getting it on with Jay Z makes me unwell. I don't want to hear about it (blow comes to mind) The whole album seems like she's overcompensating and telling everyone how in love she is and how much sex she's getting. Like we all don't know her husband was cheating the whole time 2 ⭐️
Love his voice. Sounds great live. Liked being able to hear the crowd singing along 4 ⭐️
Not what I was expecting. Enjoyed it! Lots of different styles blended on 1 album 4 ⭐️
Sadly there was too much whining 🙃 4 ⭐️
Really enjoyed this album! Exceeded my expectations 4 ⭐️
Wasn't bad... but his voice doesn't suit the songs 😬 3 ⭐️
Oof. I like a bit of jazz but not this Way too much chaos going on for me to be able to enjoy it. Drums banging everywhere and piano keys getting smashed. I felt an anxiety attack coming on, my body couldn't relax! 1 ⭐️
Boring. Nothing memorable on the album sadly. Didn't really enjoy it either 2 ⭐️
Shocked to see this album has a lot of 5 star reviews A lot of the songs sounded the same. Really don't like the singers whiny voice either Wouldn't rate it as terrible, but it was bad. Bland to put it nicely. 40 mins of my life I won't be getting back 2 ⭐️
I really wanted to like this but it was so boring and beige If all songs sounded like son of a preacher man - the score would have much higher 2 ⭐️
Nice upbeat songs! Classic sound, liked the vibes 4 ⭐️
Wasn't sure how I felt about this one for most of the album, but the heavy breathing really sealed the deal for me Most of the album sounded like one long song, with the monotone voice on top Very bland. Starting to wonder who came up with this list of 1001 albums and if we should be trusting their choices 2 ⭐️
Not a fan of the mumbling/talking over the songs 2 ⭐️
Thought I was listening to his greatest hits album because every song is a BANGER 5 ⭐️
Sounds like a bunch of children were let loose with instruments and a sound effect machine. And to top it off you have the mumbling and random shouting which sounds like someone on a drug binge. Enjoyed this album! Love his voice and the vibes. A classic 4 ⭐️
Wasn't sure what to expect going into this one, but I was pleasantly surprised! 4 ⭐️
Pleasant enough songs but a bit boring on the whole 3 ⭐️
Some classic songs on this album! I've always thought I was born in the wrong era - I should have been jumping about in a sweaty pit at one of their shows 4 ⭐️
Went into this one with low expectations. Really enjoyed it though! Some banging tunes on there 4 ⭐️
Wow! First off, love in an elevator is probably my favourite Aerosmith song - so it was already off to a good start Each song was as good as the next! Janie's got a gun - also a classic tune that I love 5 ⭐️
This was a bit of a weird one. Some songs I really didn't enjoy. But then other songs I really liked Hit and miss 3 ⭐️
Pleasant enough, but a bit slow for my liking. Most songs also sounded repetitive 3 ⭐️
This is just the type of music I'm usually in to - but I just can't get into this Wasn't terrible, just a bit meh 3 ⭐️
I'm not the biggest Bob Dylan fan, but I quite enjoyed this album! Loved the harmonica. Most of the songs were upbeat which surprised me 4 ⭐️
An okay album. It didn't do anything for me personally, but it wasn't bad. More of a background noise with the upbeat songs 3 ⭐️
I'd never heard of Nick Drake before, but wow what a find! A very good album I really enjoyed!!! Very high 4 ⭐️
Nice enough album, but nothing too exciting. Will always love Babylon though Coffee shop music 3 ⭐️
Reminds me of Ross on friends when he was playing the keyboard. "Wordless sound poems" The whole album was giving me theme park vibes. Then the 4th track kicked in and I realised its was the actual song from the claw machines at theme parks! No thanks, not for me 2 ⭐️
It was alright. Had it on as background music - it wasn't bad, but just not my sort of thing 3 ⭐️
So many of these songs have been the soundtrack to my summers. Driving with the windows down and music loud. Good vibes Definitely (maybe) a 5 ⭐️ album
I went into this one expecting it to be shite Surprisingly I really enjoyed it! The songs are very choppy and almost seem unfinished. But the snippets of songs we get were very enjoyable! The random snoring also contributed to it losing a star 4 ⭐️
Like we all don't know her husband was cheating the whole time 2 ⭐️
Started off well, but I got bored towards the end. Songs were dancy - I liked the vibe. It just seemed to slow down towards the later songs 3 ⭐️
Not my type of thing, but it was alright. More like background music 3 ⭐️
Bad. Bad. Bad Offensive guitar screeches and noises that didn't sound good together. And then a random 10 seconds of good riffs and back to noise 2 ⭐️
It was alright. Would have enjoyed it more if there were less instrumental tracks 3 ⭐️
The album started off well but then got boring as each song passed. By the end I'd lost interest. It wasn't bad though 3 ⭐️
I fell asleep listening to this It's a shame this album was so bad because the background music is good, and she has a lovely voice But it feels like she's singing a different tune to the song. And by singing I mean talking over 2 ⭐️
Enjoyed this. Songs were upbeat and very 80s 4 ⭐️
There's some classic tunes on here. Overall enjoyed this album! 4 ⭐️
Well... that was an interesting listen This album had an identity crisis. The random rap song really threw me off I enjoyed a few of the songs on there, but also the album had some bad ones. So overall it was alright. Not the worst I've heard 3 ⭐️
I'd heard of Sepultura and this album before and always thought I wouldn't like it Turns out I quite enjoyed a lot of it! I'm not really into screamo type music, but the music itself was badass I found the album too long though, and Canyon Jam was really bad on the ears. That metal scratching sound was so bad. And 13 mins was way too long 3 ⭐️
Thought I was going to love this album, but sadly not Songs were alright, bit boring and slow for my liking though. I prefer heavier rock songs. It wasn't bad 3 ⭐️
What the fuck was that 2 ⭐️
It was a weird one. But some songs were decent 3 ⭐️
Really enjoyed this one! Loved the vibes. Didn't even care that I couldn't understand a word 4 ⭐️
I'd never heard of Nick Drake until starting this process, and this is the 2nd album of his I've had Really enjoyed this one! Nice chill music, and upbeat 4 ⭐️
I enjoyed this one. Loved the sound and the vibes 4 ⭐️
Ella Fitzgerald has a beautiful voice, and I like a lot of these songs But over 3 hours is way too long of an album, and I started feeling bored. Honestly it was feeling like a chore towards the end So for that reason its a 3 ⭐️
Wow - loved this one! Very upbeat, so many instruments, catchy tunes. What a great find! 5 ⭐️
I like some Nina Simone songs, but this album wasn't it The first song was very good, but slowly went downhill. They got boring and all sounded the same. Not memorable in the slightest. I didn't like her voice at all on the slower songs It's a shame because I was looking forward to this one 2 ⭐️
Banger after banger! Good stuff 5 ⭐️
Wow really enjoyed this one!! What a nice surprise 5 ⭐️
If this album was a biscuit, it would be a plain digestive Not necessarily bad - just plain and not really anyones favourite 3 ⭐️
Found this one to be repetitive and boring. Wasn't bad as such, just not my thing. Also didn't like the talking at the start of songs 3 ⭐️
A very good live album!! 4 ⭐️
I love The Beatles So many great songs on this album. Great vibes and a sitar, what more can you want 5 ⭐️
Nice chill songs 3 ⭐️
Might have enjoyed that one more if I had been high on crack But I wasn't. So... 2 ⭐️
Good upbeat songs! Very nostalgic 4 ⭐️
Oof. Sadly did not enjoy this one The off tune guitar strumming and heavy breathing really made it worse. Didn't really like his voice either Kept waiting for it to end 😩 2 ⭐️
The singer sounds like a ghost Sounds like the type of music you'd hear coming from a dodgy nightclub. No thanks - avoid 2 ⭐️
A very enjoyable album 4 ⭐️
This was a crazy album but I really liked it! Was a bit all over the place in a good way! Very fun 4 ⭐️
Ugh His voice is bad. This is my 2nd album of his and I'm shocked that he made this list not once - but twice at least The smokers cough type of screaming on "Diamonds in the mine" was enough to drive anyone to insanity This album really should be a 1 but some of the songs could have been really nice if sung by literally anyone else. The backing vocals also helped bump the rating up a tiny bit 2 ⭐️
This is exactly the type of stuff I like listening to - but for some reason it just wasn't clicking for me Wasn't bad at all, just couldn't get into it 3 ⭐️
Wasn't familiar with Carole King - or so I thought... I knew and liked a lot of these songs, and never realised who sung them! A lovely album 4 ⭐️
I try to seperate the art from the artist, so I went into this one with an open mind But jesus christ it was bad The music itself wasnt too bad on some songs, so I did think of giving it another star just for that. But no, his whiny drivel was too much. The lyrics were so bad I can't look past it "Hey you big fat pig" on the opening track was enough to cement my hatred in this album. Cringiest lyrics ever. And you know he thought he was so clever and edgy writing that 1 ⭐️
Feel like I'm missing something with this album, and maybe Prince in general It was alright. One or two songs I quite enjoyed and that was about it. Never really liked purple rain! Didn't like his screeching though 3 ⭐️
Wow. He bangs the hell out of that piano!! Sounds so good live too. Great songs 5 ⭐️
This was so hit and miss. Lots of bad songs, but then some pretty decent ones I much prefer his other work. Used to listen to Gnarls Barkley as a kid, and I had The Lady Killer album as a teen. But this wasn't as good 3 ⭐️
I'd never heard of this band or album before, but I quite enjoyed it Didn't like "next" but there were some songs I really liked and added to my playlist! "Gang bang" and "swampsnake" were highlights 4 ⭐️
It's not a Yes from me. Wasn't sure how to rate this one because parts of it were good. But overall, I was begging for the album to end. Songs were way too long. The bird noises at the start threw me off, and theres multiple riffs and genres mashed together on one song. Also wasn't a huge fan of the singers voice. Sorry! 2 ⭐️
Really enjoyed majority of this album, until the end where I absolutely hated the rogue saxophone going wild Shame because it would have scored higher! 3 ⭐️
First half of this album was insanely boring. 2nd half picked up a bit and a handful of songs were decent Album was way too long for my liking though. Bit of a snooze fest 3 ⭐️
One or two songs I enjoyed, but the rest of the album was all over the place. A lot of screeching over the music in parts and it felt cringe Overall bad experience. Won't be listening again 2 ⭐️
Nice enough album, but not the best of his Wish it was a bit more upbeat! Sadly a lot of these songs blended into eachother 3 ⭐️
A weird one. Lots of random noise I really didnt like But then a few of the songs I quite enjoyed. Can't rate it too high though because of the random noises, which is a shame 3 ⭐️
Always exciting to see a band you like come up on this list! Really enjoyed this one, and included some classic songs! 5 ⭐️
A very nice album with a few songs I recognised 4 ⭐️
What was this Didn't like it - instruments going wild, screeching backing vocals, some sort of talking over the songs? Bad It got an extra star purely because of You Can Call Me Al and the nostalgia it brought me 2 ⭐️
Slade will always be a christmas band to me, so I went into this fully expecting a joke album. Especially with that haircut 🙈 But wow was I wrong! Actually a pretty good album!! Ended up actually knowing a handful songs too. The guys voice I didn't really like though Slayed? You kinda did 4 ⭐️
Wow what a find! Really enjoyed this album!! A nice indie sound to it - I'd have loved this as a teenager! Which is a shame as this album came out in my peak indie stage of life A very high 4 ⭐️
I've never really liked or listened to The Rolling Stones, but this was better than I thought "Rip This Joint" and "Shine a Light" were highlights Just wish that I could understand Mick's singing 4 ⭐️
I enjoyed this one. A very nostalgic feel to it Love the fact you can hear different instruments throughout. The piano and the sax parts especially 4 ⭐️
Didn't like this one at all The songs themselves weren't bad, some were catchy even. But the off beat talking over the music, the whiny singing and screeching was too much for me. Didn't like her voice sorry to say 2 ⭐️
Beautiful voice and I liked the songs But it was just a bit too slow for me. A few upbeat songs in there and the album would have been much higher 3 ⭐️
Quite a few classics on this one! Enjoyed it, but it was a bit long. Would have been more enjoyable without the random whining too 4 ⭐️
Decent album but a bit boring. I liked the alternative sound but it was just a bit too dreary 3 ⭐️
It's albums like this one that I was hoping to find through this site A very enjoyable album and an even more interesting wiki to go with it! A good find! 4 ⭐️
Never listened to Neil Young before, and was very pleasantly surprised! He's not the best singer but this was a beautiful album. Really liked the songs. They had me lost in my own little world for a while 4 ⭐️
There were 2 or 3 songs I really enjoyed on here The rest were all repetitive and bland. Wasn't bad but an easily forgetable album 3 ⭐️
I weirdly kind of liked this one Loved the guitars, was really vibin to it. Sadly the guys voice is terrible and the lyrics made me laugh at times. A solid "alright" album 3 ⭐️
Sounds like I'm on a space ship. No thanks. "What in the world" indeed - my exact reaction Seems like whoever created this list had the biggest hard on for Bowie, because there is no way he should have multiple albums on this list. Shocking 1 ⭐️
What a way to start an album with them opening tracks! Iconic riffs, classic tunes - what more do you want 🤘 5 ⭐️
It was alright. Wasn't terrible, songs were ok but didn't really like his voice to be honest Probably would have scored higher with a different singer 3 ⭐️
Generic 80s songs being mumbled by a depressed guy who can't sing 2 ⭐️
What an album! I already knew a lot of these songs, and the others were just as good! Grew up with a lot of these songs, but never truly appreciated how good they were until I was older 5 ⭐️
A fun, upbeat album! Knew a few of the songs too, quite enjoyed this one 4 ⭐️
To be honest he'd already lost me at "Moss Side". If it was anything like the area it was bound to be bad. And it was The last track sounded like a poundland James Bond theme Whoever added this album to the 1001 list needs to give their head a good wobble 1 ⭐️
Good vibes Music was enjoyable, but every song sounded the same. Became a bit repetitive and too long sadly 3 ⭐️
The well known songs were absolute bangers, but I just couldn't get the rest of the album. It wasn't bad at all - just had no spark like the singles did Was a bit let down to be honest 3 ⭐️
I'm slightly lost for words on this one Weird. Cringe. Laughable. It was all over the place. But I weirdly enjoyed it! Currently lying in bed rethinking all of my life choices after that album. Wondering why I'm giving it such a high score. Who knows 4 ⭐️
Boring. Monotone. Repetitive Not for me thanks. But I have to say Don't You Want Me is a banger. Only good song on the album 2 ⭐️
Enjoyed a few songs, but also didnt like a few. An alright album 3 ⭐️
Enjoyed this one on the whole A lot of these songs were so so good, and then I'd get hit with a few bum songs. A shame, but on the whole a good album! 4 ⭐️
Some of these songs brought back a lot of memories. Summer holidays: on the way to Blackpool in the car for a day out at the theme park. Listening on my mp3 player and singing along out of tune. Life was good Sadly apart from the singles, the rest of the album was pretty boring and was too long. Some of these songs were absolutely terrible It gets a star for nostalgia and the fact that dirrty is a banger 2 ⭐️
Even though he doesn't have the greatest voice, I found myself enjoying this album Loved the guitar and the songs were very catchy 4 ⭐️
Really loved this one!! What a good album!!! 5 ⭐️
Enjoyed this one! Shame it was just a bit too long. Good stuff though 4 ⭐️
This is the first album I've had so far by an artist I've seen live! I saw Chvrches when they opened for Coldplay The only song I was familiar with was The Mother We Share which I like. The rest aren't very good - some were terrible And over an hour long? Rough The male singers songs were much better than the females Music you'd hear in H&M stores 2 ⭐️
Sounded like a bunch of year 7's showing off and trying to be hard I never want to hear this album again 1 ⭐️
Such a good album Imagine is an all time favourite song. Beautiful 5 ⭐️
Wasn't bad, I just couldn't vibe with it 3 ⭐️
Was dreading this one to be honest, after finding the other album of theirs bland But this one was much better, I liked it! Still don't think it should be on this list though 4 ⭐️
Nice enough album but it didnt click for me He sounded very good live though 3 ⭐️
Was expecting this to be way worse than it was considering the average ratings It wasn't great - didn't like the guys voice and it was a bit cringe. But it was better than a lot of crap I've listened to on here so far 3 ⭐️
This one was slightly creepy in some parts 2 ⭐️
I was honestly so excited to see this one pop up today because it's my favourite era!! Or as I like to call it - Taylor in her ❄️ era This is where she peaked for me, and was the last album I properly listened to. I was about 18 when this came out - which was probably her target audience. I get it's not for everyone! If cheesy pop bangers are your thing you will love this one. What a track list! A lot of big hits on this album! 2 of my all time fave Taylor songs are on this album - Style and Wildest Dreams Relistening to this album filled me with nostalgia and took me right back to 2014 Fast forward to 2024 and I still listen to these songs - majority of this album very very often. 2 months ago me and my sister went to the eras tour with these songs being the best part of the evening! Putting my personal feelings about Taylor aside - this album is so so good I can't deny it. I see a lot of negative reviews here purely because of her and not the music. I will forever sing along to these songs as loud as I can and it truly deserves full marks 5 ⭐️
Catchy. I liked this one 4 ⭐️
I HATED this one I'm sorry to say! The songs were quite nice although a bit boring. But her voice was terrible And it just kept going on and on. Multiple versions of the same songs - it was too much! I really was begging for this one to end and I struggled getting through it 1 ⭐️
So many genres - each one of them shite Didn't manage to nail a single one 1 ⭐️
Very 2000s sound, I really liked a lot of these songs! The album was just too long for my liking with all the skits, and some songs were way longer than they needed to be 4 ⭐️
Weird album I've heard worse on here, and to be honest I quite enjoyed the guitar parts 3 ⭐️
I was excited seeing this album pop up. Takes me back to my school days! Time to Pretend, Kids, Electric Feel - bangers!!!! Wish the rest of the album had the same energy but it was still a good album 4 ⭐️
Ugh another album that sounds like an alien abduction I'd never listened to Pink Floyd so wasn't sure what to expect. But going by the ratings on here I had high hopes Starting with the bad points - The screeching wailing woman in "The Great Gig In The Sky" ruined the song All the clock noises in "Time" were like nails on a chalkboard. Awful Now for the good points - I did enjoy the male singers voice and the songs without offensive noises. "Us and Them" was a very nice song and I recognised "Money" I liked the chill guitar songs towards the end of the album and how the songs flowed into each other I can't rate this album as enjoyable on the whole because the first half was that bad. Which is a shame because the 2nd half was very good I feel like this album is either overhyped, or the people giving it 5's were high as fuck 3 ⭐️
This was painful 1 ⭐️
Lovely voice and I liked the chilled out vibe I'd never heard of Kelela but would be interested in hearing some more of her stuff! 4 ⭐️
What a beautiful album! Loved his voice and the songs 5 ⭐️
Incredible voice It was just lacking something though and I'm not sure what 3 ⭐️
This was fucking dreadful 1 ⭐️
I knew as soon as I saw Blue Suede Shoes as the opening track it was going to be good I love the 50's style music and the quality of the recording - something about that muffled/crackling sound A few songs I knew already, and the others were just as good! 5 ⭐️
I was expecting this album to be so much more upbeat I actually found it super boring and I hated the whiny parts in the songs 2 ⭐️
Chaotic To summarise - random dolphin like squealing, dogs barking, heavy breathing. Piano keys being smashed around and what sounds like a kitchen drawer being rattled You can hear the lockdown insanity in real time as the album went on Felt like fetching the bolt cutters to chop my ears off and end the suffering 1 ⭐️
70's porno music mixed with a low budget heist film 3 ⭐️
Holy shit why have I never listened to these guys before?! I'd heard of Fleet Foxes a lot and for some reason just never looked them up. I have been missing out though because I loved this album! 5 ⭐️
Sounds like an SNL skit 2 ⭐️
Thought this was going to be my type of thing, but shit was I wrong Nirvana are for sure overhyped. This was terrible with maybe 2 good songs sprinkled in 1 ⭐️
Way better than I was expecting, a very catchy album 4 ⭐️
Great album! I'm not a massive fan of live albums but this one is so unique. Hearing the prisoners cheering and Johnny Cash joking about with them - it made me feel like I was there And of course the songs were great, and it's Johnny Cash so an easy top score for me 5 ⭐️
Ugh The first song was pretty relaxing and I liked the piano. The rest of it was enough to bring on a major depressive episode 2 ⭐️
Nope. Boring and too long It was alright on the whole, but there were some awful screechy trumpet noises that made me want to cry I wish I could have listened to this In A Silent Way 2 ⭐️
Weird I liked it 4 ⭐️
I'm speechless. I really don't know what to say about this album but WOW I never really listened to Arcade Fire, I knew 1 song from 2010 and that's it. So my expectations weren't too high for this album. I was so wrong, every single song was so good! I also didn't realise that I knew Rebellion (Lies) - I've not heard it in years but wow what a song 5 ⭐️
The songs weren't bad, quite catchy. But the album was too long and I hate the screeching Maybe I'm just not a Prince fan 3 ⭐️
H&M music Already knew I was going to hate this one based on the 1 song of theirs that I already detest. But this was way too long and repetitive 1 ⭐️
It was a shame the rest of the album wasn't like Everybody Wants To Rule The World because that song is a solid 10/10 Another 1 or 2 songs I knew and liked but overall the album was a bit boring 3 ⭐️
Upbeat songs and catchy. I liked this one 4 ⭐️
I enjoyed half of this album. The rest was alright with a few really bad ones thrown in This album should have been way shorter than it was though. Felt like a chore chipping away! 3 ⭐️
I was kind of dissappointed with this album because I had high expectations Some of these songs were absolute bangers 10/10 material, and the other half were kinda bland? I wanted more upbeat guitar! This album was a 3.7 rounded up to 4 ⭐️
Good songs but her screeching is bad. If these songs had a different singer then it would have scored higher! Maps is a banger though, love that song 3 ⭐️
This guys voice grated on me so bad. I was also really bored waiting for this to end 2 ⭐️
Some bum songs scattered in here, but I enjoyed it overall 4 ⭐️
A really nice album! Very chill, loved the vibes 4 ⭐️
Headache inducing 1 ⭐️
I only knew a few Kendrick songs before listening to this album - and I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this! I recognised "i" straight away, didn't realise it was his song! Sadly it was just a bit too long for my liking, and I'm not a huge fan of the talking tracks/interludes A very high 4 ⭐️
I'd never heard of Turbonegro before - but woah!!! This is exactly my type of thing 🤘🏻 Amazing energy all the way through and a great cover at the end of the album 5 ⭐️
Not a huge fan of live albums The Who sounded very good though, and the songs were good! I just couldn't click with this for some reason I think maybe some of the songs were just a bit too long and repetitive 3 ⭐️
This wasn't what I was expecting at all! I was put off with it being a concept album initially I'd not heard of Sufjan Stevens before, and was surprised at how lovely his voice was. Some of these songs were so beautiful - the piano ones mainly I did end up recognising Chicago too It was just a bit too long for my liking, but still worth the high rating 4 ⭐️
I've had three of their albums now and I really don't get the hype? Fell In Love With A Girl is their best song and even that can't save this album. It's not bad as such - just so boring. Something about them just doesn't click for me 3 ⭐️
Like nails on a chalkboard 1 ⭐️
I enjoyed the songs but it really was too long It gave me the feeling of when you walk into a club too sober, and there's only about 3 people on the dance floor. You want to have a good time, but it's not quite right This probably would have been a 4 if I'd have been on the jägers all night 3 ⭐️
Meh Was alright, but not for me really. Inoffensive coffee shop music 3 ⭐️
Not what I expected at all! Quite an enjoyable album. Loved the beats. A bit long for my liking though 4 ⭐️
What a throwback! There were some big hits on this album that I'd not heard in so long I enjoyed it overall, but it was way too long. I wasn't a massive fan of the interludes either 4 ⭐️
Bit weird. Was alright as background music Songs were quite long but it wasn't bad 3 ⭐️
Painful. All I heard was whining and shouting for 45 minutes. This is giving actual banshees a bad rep Metal Postcard was enough to drive me to insanity And the Helter Skelter cover was honestly a hate crime 2 ⭐️
Nope I already knew I was going to dislike this because I can't stand this guys voice. Surprisingly his voice wasn't as whiny on this album Seemed ok as background music, until I heard some questionable lyrics and it was an instant nope Please no more R.E.M. I am begging 2 ⭐️
What a throwback!! Atlantis To Interzone - took me straight back to year 7 music class where we'd spam the exact same dj button and the woman's voice Golden Skans and It's Not Over Yet are absolute tunes!!! Big songs during my younger years that I still listen to now I enjoyed the rest of the album, but it wasn't quite as good as the singles 4 ⭐️
Sounds like the type of music you'd hear in the queue for Oblivion at Alton Towers Repetitive, they all sounded the same and too long Not for me, thanks 2 ⭐️
Enjoyed this album, and I knew a lot of these songs previously! They bring back happy memories of my aunty before she passed What a great song to open the album - More Than A Feeling 4 ⭐️
I thought I'd enjoy this a lot more than I did It was good, but I just couldn't vibe with it? Something was off and I can't place it 3 ⭐️
Enjoyed this one more than Hejira, but I have the same complaints again Joni has such a beautiful voice but it feels like she's singing a different tune/rhythm to the music. Makes it very difficult to get into these songs 3 ⭐️
Oof. Terrible singing, talking at the start of songs, depressing, and way too long I've always thought of this band as a one hit wonder - so I was a bit shocked to see them on this list 2 ⭐️
I've already had a T. Rex album (The Slider) and thought it was repetitive and forgettable. This album gets the exact same feedback To me they seem to be a one hit wonder band with Get It On. If the rest of the album had been more upbeat like that song, it might have scored higher 3 ⭐️
I was looking forward to this one, but sadly it wasnt great! Dry Your Eyes and Fit But You Know It were both huge songs in my school years. However the rest of the album was nowhere near as good! Pretty bad on the whole but I am giving it an extra star for being funny, and also nostalgia! 3 ⭐️
Not what I expected from this album at all. It seemed a bit all over the place - lots of different sounds and vibes. I could hear other bands/performers influences in different songs I quite liked it, a very enjoyable listen! 4 ⭐️
This album was a bit before my time, so it wasn't something I was familiar with. I did know 2 songs though It was a bit too long, and a lot of these songs did sound very repetitive! Wasn't bad, just repetitive. I much prefer the later Dr. Dre stuff 3 ⭐️
Good stuff! A few songs I recognised on this, but the rest were just as good 4 ⭐️
Catchy songs. Terrible voice 3 ⭐️
I said I never wanted to listen to this man again, and hear I am being tormented The screaming sounded like an exorcism The other album I heard of his was just talking, so I'd never actually heard him sing. Is this satire?? Dirt In The Ground - I was blown away by how BAD the singing was. Sounds like a chain smoker about to cough up a lung It's bad enough this guy is on this list at all... but twice?! 1 ⭐️
Fuck you I won't do what you tell me! 🤘🏻 I first heard of Rage Against The Machine in 2009 - I saw a campaign on facebook to get Killing In The Name to #1 in the charts, and to block X Factor from getting the Christmas #1. Being the angsty teen that I was, I of course joined in and downloaded the song I'd never listened to any of their other songs, and I really enjoyed this album! I wish back then I'd have also downloaded the rest of this album because I've been missing out! A very high 4 ⭐️
A few good songs on here. Wasn't bad, just a bit bland on the whole 3 ⭐️
They no longer need to waterboard people for info - they just play this album out loud, it's more effective Whoever added this to the list needs to be checked over by a mental health professional because they're clearly not doing well 1 ⭐️
Really enjoyed this one! I love the quality of the sound too, all crackly and just old sounding Catchy songs and I really like his voice 4 ⭐️
I am a certified David Bowie hater. I was prepared and expecting to give this a low rating. But I have to admit that this album wasn't bad To start with, I didn't realise Changes was his song - and I really like that song! Most of the songs were alright, it's his voice that I can't stand. Never really been a fan of Life on Mars? but I did enjoy Queen Bitch I was glad about the lack of offensive spaceship noises in this one (apart from the start of Andy Warhol which was highly offensive to my ears) Slight offensive noises and bad screeching aside, I am going to say this album was alright on the whole. I probably would have rated higher with a different singer 3 ⭐️
This scratched the right part of my brain today I'd never heard of Doves - was expecting it to be more rock. But it sounded like early Coldplay, with hints of Snow Patrol Loved it!!! What a find 5 ⭐️
Nice voice, but the songs were quite boring and forgettable 3 ⭐️
After giving Dusty In Memphis a low score - I wasn't expecting much from this. I really enjoyed it though!! I knew pretty much every song on here. Absolute classics!!! Sadly though, I don't think Dusty's covers are doing the originals justice. So much potential and they just felt a bit flat? Kinda lifeless The tracklist in itself would be a solid 5 but the songs themselves bring the score down. Still a good album that I would listen to again! 4 ⭐️
Whoa we're halfway there... whoaaa oh livin on a prayer!!!! 🤘🏻 I was so excited to see this on my list!!!! I already knew I liked it, and was nice to relisten for the first time in years. Theres big tunes on this tracklist, but also some hidden gems My mum had this album, and as a teenager I would go through her cd collection and put any good ones on my ipod. Slippery When Wet was one of the few albums I copied over in full! I really really enjoyed it 5 ⭐️
This was quite haunting There were some really beautiful songs on here, but also a lot that just sounded like filler. So overall it was just too much and too long Also the voice is... unique to say the least 3 ⭐️
I really enjoyed some of these songs. The first half of the album was on a roll, loved the upbeat catchy songs. The 2nd half bored me and it was a bit all over the place 3 ⭐️
I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than listen to The Smiths ever again 1 ⭐️
I actually really liked his voice. It was the songs that just sounded a bit bland for me I knew Everybody's Talkin' although I hadn't heard this version of it before 3 ⭐️
Started out very promising. I really enjoyed the opening tracks, and then it started to get a bit odd I could have put up with a bit of quirkiness and still rated it well, but unfortunately it got boring towards the end - and I lost interest 3 ⭐️
What have I done to deserve yet another R.E.M. album?! 2 ⭐️
I was obssessed with Lorde's first album - Pure Heroine when it came out. In 2013 Lorde was the coolest, she had teenage girls on tumblr in a chokehold I'd never listened to this album based off the singles. I liked The Louvre, Perfect Places, and Green Light has since grown on me - but nothing else really stood out This album sounds like Forever 21 music - and we can blame producer Jack Antonoff for that I like the theory online that this album is about Lorde's relationship/cheating with Jack. The powerpoint presentation someone made about it will remain iconic Sadly it still doesn't make this album sound better though 3 ⭐️
I've never listened to this album in full - so I'm glad I finally got round to it! There's some huge bangers on this album! But also a few of the songs just fell a bit flat for me. I definitely enjoyed this way way more than In Utero though I still think that Nirvana is massively overrated, but I did on the whole enjoy this album 4 ⭐️
Massive Attack on my ears more like Their cover of Light My Fire was a hate crime 2 ⭐️
I feel like once you've listened to one Led Zeppelin album - you've listened to them all Started off well but it was so long and repetitive that I got bored. I only knew Kashmir before listening so that probably didn't help with the rating I was surprised to see a song with a Welsh name - Bron-Yr-Aur! I never knew the history behind that track, so that was a nice find. Nice guitar song too Overall this album was ok. Wasn't their best of what I've heard so far 3 ⭐️
This album started off so so good, but it just got really boring and repetitive! Was also way too long by the end. Shame really 3 ⭐️
Really zoned out with this one listening to the guitar solos Love the sound, great stuff 5 ⭐️
This was more enjoyable than School's Out - but some parts of songs weirded me out Horrible noises and some sort of panting and moaning? Ruined the songs tbh Overall ok album 3 ⭐️
This is THE Oasis album!! Massive tunes!!!! What a tracklist! A lot of my all time favourite Oasis songs are on this album This album is older than me and yet its still played wherever I go. Its rare to visit Manchester and not hear an Oasis song playing somewhere. Iconic This album hit me right in the feels today. Hearing these songs bring back tons of memories from different stages of my life. The day I finished school, drunk in a field, everyone singing Wonderwall. Being deep into the crowd at Leeds fest 2017 watching Liam's set. Listening to Oasis every morning on the way to work, so loud the car was shaking What I love about this album is how its stood the test of time. I was at a gig in Manchester on the day Oasis announced their reunion, and the crowd sang along to Wonderwall before the show. People of all ages with their lights in the air 🥹 Some much younger than me, but they knew all the words as if it was a new song Don't Look Back in Anger also becoming a song of unity in the city since 2017 🐝 I love hearing crowds of people singing along. The power of music is truly amazing, and this album is not only so good, but it brings people together! ❤️ One of the rare albums that really belongs on this list lol 5 ⭐️
This was all over the place Some of the songs weren't too bad, even nice in parts. But then the guy would start this weird deep talking over the songs and ruin them They couldn't pick a genre when they made this album. Seems like they just said yes to all Bedlam indeed 2 ⭐️
Kate Bush's voice irks me Songs were crap too, and then I heard a lyric about Hitler and that just sealed the deal for me 2 ⭐️
We get it - you're hard. You're a bad boi. You're angry. You don't like the cops But jesus this was too much. Repetitive and too long Beats were decent, and I really liked the guitar on Body Count. The rest of it was bad 2 ⭐️
I only know 2 Radiohead songs, so this album was completely new to me. I was expecting it to sound more rock/guitar What the hell was this?! Nearly 45 minutes of whining and weird noises. Not what I was expecting at all This is what people are always raving about... really? I try to be open minded but this guys voice ruined the few nice songs there were 2 ⭐️
... there were a lot of songs about getting dick? I'm all for female empowerment but lyrics such as "that money keeps that pussy wet" was a bit too much 🥴 I loved the beats, a very nice vibe going on. She had a nice voice too. Not a fan of the skits/talking whatever you want to call them The Other Side was my favourite song, it had so much potential and then she'd lose me singing about getting her titties out and getting her booty done 🫠 Would have been a higher score tbh if the songs were instrumentals or had different lyrics. This album had a lot of potential to be poignant and beautiful - but then she'd ruin it by throwing in words that made it comical and unserious 3 ⭐️
I hate to say it but this album gave me sexual predator vibes Music: pleasant. Lyrics: 🚩 Sinister indeed 2 ⭐️
What a beautiful album Wasn't impressed by the album length to begin with, but I enjoyed it all! Love the guitar, totally zoned out and went into my own little world George was the underrated Beatle in my opinion, and of what I've heard so far - this is the best album of all their solo stuff 5 ⭐️
I laughed when I saw this album on the list - didn't expect to see Dizzee Rascal here at all! I saw Dizzee at a festival in 2010 and ended up becoming a fan. Jus' A Rascal was stuck in my head for days afterwards! So I only really knew his later stuff. This however was very bad and very different to his later work It just felt a bit flat? 2 ⭐️
Not my usual sort of thing, but this was alright. Bit long though Recognised one or two songs 3 ⭐️
The type of music you'd be tortured with at Butlins No thanks 2 ⭐️
Wasn't sure how I felt about this album initially. It was a nice enough album, and I liked the lyrics. But it just wasn't clicking for me I think I just prefer other Bob Marley songs to these. They weren't bad at all, just missing a spark No Woman No Cry - love that song though! 3 ⭐️
Was it bad? Absolutely Was it the worst thing I've heard on here so far? No, far from it 1 ⭐️
Wow! I'd never heard of The Mars Volta and wasn't expecting that 🤘🏻 I was getting My Chemical Romance vibes from this, good stuff! 5 ⭐️
I knew what my rating for this would be instantly. What an album! We had Hot Fuss on cd growing up so these songs brought back a lot of nostalgia. I listen to half of these songs all the time, but it was nice to go back and hear the whole thing in full This album was banger after banger, and what a way to start the album with those first 5 songs!! Also they are so fucking good live, it makes me love these songs even more Muah chef's kiss 5 ⭐️
Not my favourite of Kanye's stuff tbh I liked a very small handful of songs, the rest were alright - nothing amazing. Much prefer his other stuff 3 ⭐️
Such a beautiful album with some big hits!! Perfect music to chill out to. We had this album at home, I can remember so clearly listening to this on my little green cd player. Those were the days 🥹 Usually debut albums aren't as good as a bands later stuff, but they had Yellow on theirs 💛 A song that has stood the test of time. I can still remember the music video vividly! Coldplay were one of my bucket list bands and I finally got to see them last year. People can shit on them all they want but hands down they put on one of the best concerts I've ever been to. And what they're doing to reduce emissions on tour is incredible Love everything about this album, I will defend it always! 5 ⭐️
Nice voice, but all the songs sounded the same. It just blended into one long coffee shop soundtrack Pleasant sounding though so it gets an alright rating 3 ⭐️
Was kind of disappointed in this one!! I really enjoyed his other albums, but this one seemed so boring in comparison? Wasn't very memorable sadly 3 ⭐️
Was not a fan of this one I much prefer their other stuff, but even then I always thought they were a bit of a two hit wonder? Surprised to see them on this list 2 ⭐️
There were some very good songs on this album! I knew a handful of them already Sadly a lot of filler though and it was a bit long. I was hoping all these songs would have the same energy as March Of The Pigs - rather than the slower sort of songs Overall still a good album, but I do prefer the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt! 4 ⭐️
Nice stuff. Some good guitar riffs here that I zoned out to 4 ⭐️
What the hell was this It started off alright - not my type of thing but the beats were decent and it was pleasant enough. Then after a few songs, the lyrics started getting weirder and weirder. And by the end of the album there were random bird noises and odd things Abbaon Fat Tracks was the song where I really thought wtf am I listening to here. "I fuck you in the ass, just for a laugh" ??? 2 ⭐️
I was disappointed in this one! Last month I had their album The Last Broadcast generated and really loved it. I'd not heard of Doves before then This album was just a bit bland and boring though? There were a handful of songs I enjoyed, and this wasn't bad at all. I just felt like it was lacking something especially compared to their other stuff 3 ⭐️
I actually quite enjoyed this one which really surprised me! Also ended up knowing one song that I'd not heard in years. Would listen again. Kinda chill 4⭐️
Nice. I quite enjoyed this one! I only knew 2 songs - Message In A Bottle (banging tune) and Walking On The Moon. But the rest of the album was catchy and upbeat 4 ⭐️
Well this was something! I actually really liked the sitar cover of Light My Fire! I wish the rest of the songs were like that one - a bit more upbeat The sitar music was nice but it just became background music 3 ⭐️
Go girl give us ✨️nothing✨️ I'm not a fan of Mariah's apart from her iconic Christmas song. She is undeniably talented but this album was such a snoozefest Someone get this girl some caffeine and belt out them notes like I know she can. Instead she just kinda yuuuuuhhuhuhhhuhh'd all over the place Wasn't as bad as I had expected tbh but it does lose a star due to the fact it was too damn long 2 ⭐️
And the crowd went mild... 3 ⭐️
I wasn't too excited going into this one, because of the low reviews and my general feelings towards The Rolling Stones I actually really prefered this album to their other stuff!!! I knew a lot of the songs, I enjoyed their covers, and I thought the sound suited them. It did sound a bit Beatles-ish at times but that's why I liked it! A very pleasant surprise 4 ⭐️
Really enjoyed the first half of this album! Loved the vibes and the energy The 2nd half started slowing down a bit too much. Still very enjoyable songs, but I wanted that energy throughout the album 4 ⭐️
A nice surprise! Quite enjoyed this one 4 ⭐️
Yes!!! 🦇 This album was played a lot in our house growing up, my mum really liked Meat Loaf Very theatrical, sounds like a soundtrack to a musical. Big tunes, vocals, guitar and ballads, great stuff! Enjoyed listening to this one on my drive back home! 5 ⭐️
Was expecting this to be "The Craps" but instead I ended up enjoying this album! 4 ⭐️
A very enjoyable album Thanks to Duolingo I understood parts of it. Not only did this album entertain me, but it educated Muy bien 4 ⭐️
I 🙅🏻♀️ don't 🙅🏻♀️ like 🙅🏻♀️ new 🙅🏻♀️ wave 2 ⭐️
I had to suffer over an hour of this repetitive nonsense, and didn't even get to hear Red Red Wine Disgraceful 2 ⭐️
What a fantastic album to receive on Christmas day I'm surprised by how many of these songs/versions I actually knew before hand The Ronettes and Darlene Love were the highlights - love love loved their songs I was not aware of Phil Spector's personal life, which led to a horrific read of his wiki page. However, I'm here to rate the music and not him so... 5 ⭐️
Yeeeeeeeeessss!!! A lot of these songs are very nostalgic to me, and were big parts of my childhood in various ways. Takes me back to all the day trips with my dad to Liverpool Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - one of my favourite Beatles songs!! A very enjoyable album, and I wished it was longer 5 ⭐️
I only just had a Talking Heads album a few days ago... Still shite 2 ⭐️
Some big tunes here! I knew half of them, even though I only initially recognised 3 songs from the tracklist The non singles seemed more like filler, and were a bit long. But I still enjoyed the album I saw Fatboy Slim at a festival years ago, but forgot all about it until listening to this. Instant flashbacks of getting sunburnt and drinking cider in a field. Good times 4 ⭐️
I liked this one! Good vibes 4 ⭐️
Easy listening, good vibes. I love hearing all the instruments 4 ⭐️
Linkin Park is a band that I should enjoy based off other bands I listen to. My school friends were fans and would suggest me songs. I'd hear all the hype about them. But they've never really clicked for me no matter how much I try! In The End is an absolute banger, but the rest were kind of meh? I recognised a few songs but I probably wouldn't listen to the majority of it again Wasn't bad at all - just not clicking! 3 ⭐️
Lol what a wild ride this was. Pure early 2000s cringe but I really enjoyed it! The album opens with a few bangers in a row. I'm instantly transported back to my younger years, brushing my teeth with my Destiny's Child singing toothbrush lmao Some of the lyrics did not age well. And also got to laugh at them having Independent Women - yas slay queen, and then 3 songs later Nasty Girl - slut shaming lol. Sending mixed messages here 😂 Feeling very bootylicious after listening to this album 4 ⭐️
Meh. Didn't think much of this Where Is My Mind? - absolute banger. But the rest of the album was so forgettable This is the 2nd Pixies album I've heard now and nothing stands out to me at all 3 ⭐️
What an incredible voice and band this guy had! A very enjoyable album that was very nearly a 5. Too much screaming sadly for full marks. And also one song went on for over 7 mins and became repetitive! 4 ⭐️
Wasn't sure how to rate this one Catchy beats, enjoyable for the most part - but incredibly repetitive I recognised a lot of the music/samples and I actually really enjoyed the spanish rap parts So I guess overall good? 4 ⭐️
I enjoyed small parts of this album. Mainly the instrumental parts. Some of it, especially the Indian influences sounded very soothing What I didn't enjoy was the random talking at the start, the more electronic parts, and the sound effects. And some of the songs were too long This would have worked very well as an instrumental album - for meditation for example. But what ruined it was the other stuff he added on top Wouldn't say this was awful, but it wasn't my cup of tea 2 ⭐️
Another day, another Bowie... I wasn't sure how to rate this one. Instrumentally - I enjoyed this one a lot more than his other stuff. Loved the guitar. And also no weird spaceship noises on this one But on the other hand, his voice was not good here. You could tell it was a later album. It just kinda grated on me? And some of the lyrics made me cringe at one point I guess it was alright on the whole, not something I would choose to listen to again. But I rated Hunky Dory a 3 which was way better than this one in comparison. So... 2 ⭐️
Evermore made the list over Folklore? Hm ok I've always said Taylor wasn't made for pop (even though I love 1989, don't @ me) I'll admit I was never a fan of this album and had never given it a chance until I went to the eras tour. It grew on me after multiple listens These sort of songs are the right range for her voice, and she should stick to this type of stuff! So why the hell she chooses to continue releasing crap is beyond me. She has some very beautiful songs here but instead her latest album included lyrics "touch me while your bros play grand theft auto". You know you can do better girl! No Body, No Crime is my favourite song off this album, and it reminded me of earlier Taylor when she was still country An enjoyable album that wasn't quite a 5. Too long with a lot of filler between the gems 4 ⭐️
I've been blessed by the generator today! Not my favourite Green Day album but still a banger! Basket Case and Welcome To Paradise are two of my faves 🤘🏻 Bonus points for being amazing live. These songs still get the crowd going even 30 years later, and they sound just as good ! Instant 5 ⭐️
A band I know the name of but none of their songs. Or so I thought. I actually recognised quite a few from this album! Opening the album with Movin' On Up, what a song. I haven't heard that song in like 20 years probably, but I could sing along like I heard it yesterday! I haven't heard Loaded in a good few years either. Full of nostalgia! Enjoyable 4 ⭐️
I can't believe this is how I find out that Isaac Hayes sang Chocolate Salty Balls... incredible I liked this album, such a smooth voice. Didn't even notice the songs were mega long because I was enjoying the vibe 4 ⭐️
Imagine if every instrument from every song played at the same time. Well that's what this album sounds like. Sensory overload The only positive thing I have to say is that I had to listen to this on youtube. So thankfully my algorithm isn't tainted 1 ⭐️
This was so disappointing!! I only knew one of their songs before hand - Wolf Like Me (not on this album but a banger) so I went in with high expectations But jesus this was so boring and repetitive!! 😪 2 ⭐️
Yes, loved this!! Green Onions - on a debut album, incredible! A great example of a song thats lasted the test of time Great tracklist and I recognised majority of these songs. Really enjoyed this listen 5 ⭐️
I only know one song by The Jam - Town Called Malice which I really like. So I thought maybe this album would be the same sort of vibe First half I enjoyed, second half just didn't click with me. Not a bad album at all. Would be more of a 3.5 Not my jam if you will 🥁 3 ⭐️
I wasn't expecting much here, only because I got an album by The Jam yesterday which was ok. But I was pleasantly surprised! Much better than I expected really. I liked the guitar. A few songs started feeling a bit repetitive and long, but overall a good album 4 ⭐️
I'd never heard of Slint before, but somehow I recognised the first 2 songs from this album Not a fan, found it incredibly dull and dreary 2 ⭐️
Michael Kiwanuka - an artist I've heard a lot of praise for but never listened to First half of this album was so so good. Really loved the vibes Second half got kinda boring though as the songs slowed down a bit, and got a bit long with the intros/interlude. Shame Great voice though, I see why people like him! 3 ⭐️
Weird but I liked it Lots of great instrument solos - especially the piano in Uncertain Smile. And loved the drums at the start of the album 4 ⭐️
Oh no I was so disappointed in this one! I only knew There She Goes which is a classic song. But seems that was a one hit wonder. It seems so out of place on this album because the rest of it was so boring The La's - more like Poundland Oasis. There was potential here but they lack charisma. Shame!! 2 ⭐️
I didn't realise that Iggy Pop and David Bowie weren't the same person until a few years ago. Like a pseudonym. Bowie gave me the creeps, so I refused to listen to any Iggy Pop. As you do This was actually really good!! Not quite a 5 but a very very enjoyable album! Thank you to the generator for showing me what I've missed out on In the words of Shaq - I owe you an apology, I wasn't really familiar with your game 4 ⭐️
What a fucking voice 🔥 Weirdly I'd heard of Skin, but never of Skunk Anansie. So I didn't know she was in a band Really enjoyed the guitar! Very catchy songs, and I liked the heavier ones. Bonus points for the lyrics "cunty bitch" 4 ⭐️
Why an album with an intro that was way too long, and a song with fart noises, has lots of good reviews is beyond me 2 ⭐️
I'd never heard of Ash, and didn't recognise any of their songs. So I went into this album blind I really really enjoyed it! As soon as that opening guitar started I was thinking oh hell yeah here we go. And it did not disappoint! Honestly such a nice surprise to find on this list. This is my sort of thing 5 ⭐️
Yeehaw 🤠🇺🇸🦅🫡 I enjoyed this one! I knew quite a lot of the songs already, they were soundtracks to our roadtrips growing up This is my favourite album of Bruce's - but not quite full marks 4 ⭐️
Firstly I am so shocked to find out Nothing Compares 2 U is a cover!!!!! I love that song so much, how didn't I find this out sooner?! (I went and listened to the original and Sinéad's is better imo) Such a unique voice - the acapella song was beautiful. Jump In The River was also a good song, I just wish more of the album had been as upbeat An okay album overall - not my sort of thing really. Beautiful voice though and some great and powerful lyrics Rest in peace, Sinéad 3 ⭐️
I was really enjoying the first song until he opened his mouth Terrible vocals. The songs quickly went south - presumably as the band got higher/drunker while recording It ended up becoming a jam session and this guy mumbling his improv Would have been much better as an instrumental album 2 ⭐️
Another Bowie album. Safe to say I wasn't exactly eager to put this one on. Not the worst one of his, but I didn't like it on the whole It had its moments - I really enjoyed the guitar on Stay! Word On A Wing would have been lovely as an instrumental But why did he sound like a ghost, wailing over these songs?? Was it the coke? Absolutely terrible, and ruined the songs. The other songs were pleasant enough instrumentally, but it was more like background noise I've said it before and I'll say it again - would have scored higher with a different singer. Sorry Bowie fans, he's not for me! 2 ⭐️
I listened to this while playing fortnite and I got 25 kills and a victory royale Fuck yeah 3 ⭐️
This was very catchy - Dreamer I'm looking at you Was never really sure where this album was going. Lots of quiet, piano songs which led into louder parts with loads of instruments I enjoyed this album and was actually kind of sad when it ended 4 ⭐️
I liked this! Catchy and just my sort of thing 4 ⭐️
Well this was shite. Super disappointing!! Bitter Sweet Symphony - classic tune +1 star. Sonnet - another good song, most recently known as that song from an overplayed advert And that's the only positives I have for this sadly. It was so boring and bland. Sounded like a less successful Oasis 2 ⭐️
This was alright The problem I had with it though, was that it sounds like many other British bands of the time. Nothing was unique, memorable, or stood out to me. Sounded ok, but just a bit meh 3 ⭐️
Another poundland Oasis album Wasn't bad - I enjoyed it, but it all kind of sounded the same? So sadly none of the songs are that memorable 3 ⭐️
Not a band I was familiar with previously. I only knew Black Hole Sun That opening track was a tune! It's a shame the whole album wasn't the same standard. There were parts where it dragged a little bit and got boring When the songs were good, they were GOOD. So feels unfair to rate it too low 4 ⭐️
Hee hee! There are some great songs on this album! I knew half of them - and them songs alone would have been a very easy 5 star Sadly the other half of the album were just filler. Liberian Girl in particular absolutely killed the vibe Smooth Criminal will now be stuck in my head for the next 3-5 business days 4 ⭐️
I weirdly liked this one Some songs were a bit bland, or had weird lyrics. But the good songs were really good! Balanced out to an overall enjoyable album 4 ⭐️
Another band I've never heard of I did end up recognising A Minha Menina from the car advert lmao, thanks wiki for that little fact! A pleasant album on the whole, I ended up enjoying it. Easy listening 4 ⭐️
These songs were so nice, I really enjoyed the album! It's a shame that Neil's voice isn't great. These songs could have been even better 4 ⭐️
I much prefered this to Natty Dread, which I found to be missing a spark. Even though I didn't really know these songs beforehand These songs were so chill and I really liked the vibe. A really enjoyable listen 4 ⭐️
Really enjoyed this one! Terrible voice, but the songs were just so enjoyable you just kind of forget about it. Funny in parts, very entertaining. Some great guitar in there too I can see why this has a lot of low reviews - this was probably baffling to non-Brits lol 4 ⭐️
Ughhhhhhhh yet again more R.E.M Whenever I see an album of theirs come up, a part of me dies inside This is my 4th R.E.M album and I can confirm I still don't like this guys whiny ass singing and the bland songs 2 ⭐️
This is the 3rd Leonard Cohen album I've had. The others I rated a 2 - because his voice was that bad. So I fully expected the same from this album To my surprise, his voice isn't as bad here at all! Songs were alright, nothing that stood out massively 3 ⭐️
SMOOOOOTH OPERATOOOOOOOR 🌶 Never really cared for that song before, but now it has become iconic for Carlos Sainz fans I didn't like the album version of Smooth Operator with the talking. Much prefer the single version. I also knew Your Love Is King. Those two songs aside I found the album pretty boring. It all sounded the same and I was bored. Sorry, Sade Nice voice though A 2.5 rounded down 2 ⭐️
"I don't give a fuck, god sent me to piss the world off" - a perfect quote to sum up this album I grew up listening to Eminem, and the lyrics don't really shock me anymore. I've always assumed it was an alter ego when he raps. I do understand why people find it offensive though! I knew a lot of these songs and skits already, and even though I'm not usually a fan of skits, it was enjoyable! My Name Is - probably the biggest song on the album, but there's quite a few big tunes on this one I think my score was influenced a lot by nostalgia, because some of these songs did not age well lmao (still think they're bangers). Eminem is also very good live so I'm probably biased 😆 5 ⭐️
Another alright album Musically, it was fine. It sounded familiar in parts - probably heard a song on an advert or something. Nothing to write home about Sadly sounded like a lot of other albums I've heard on here so far. Nothing unique or memorable for me personally 3 ⭐️
This isn't my usual type of thing, so I wasn't expecting much It was actually super catchy and I quite enjoyed it! Parts of it sounded super familiar 4 ⭐️
Insufferable shite! Why is he wailing and growling like that?? "I'm gonna kill my dog" fuck right off Pretentious ass lyrics, thinks he's the dogs bollocks 1 ⭐️
I was really excited for this album! It was camp and theatrical. Not too many big hits on it, but Bohemian Rhapsody in itself deserves all the stars Freddie was so talented, what a voice. And Brian on that guitar was 🔥 5 ⭐️
A surprising album to see included on this list. I only knew 3 of their songs beforehand, which all came from their debut. So why this album was chosen...? 🤔 It was alright. I liked the beats but not the singing/talking Made pleasant background music, but very bland and forgettable 3 ⭐️
Oui oui monsieur 4 ⭐️
It's always a good day when I see the Beatles pop up! Eleanor Rigby is a 5 star song in itself. One of my favourite Beatles songs! Yellow Submarine is such a nostalgic song for me personally, although it seems so out of place on this album Shoutouts to Taxman and Got To Get You Into My Life too for being tunes 5 ⭐️
If clinical depression was an album, then this is it. Why is this woman always moping about? I was surprised that 1 - she made this list, and 2 - that it was this album. I don't like Lana but even I've heard of NFR and Born To Die. I'd never heard of this one Unfortunately Lana is not for me, unless she stops mumbling and perks up a bit. This was so boring and monotonous. I only enjoyed 1 song, and 'enjoyed' is pushing it She should write songs about her life in the swamp, married to the alligator man. At least then it would be more interesting than whatever this was 2 ⭐️
I only really knew Waterfall before going into this album It was exactly what I expected it to sound like! That distinct British summer vibe. I recognised a few songs by the end A good and enjoyable album 4 ⭐️
Couldn't understand a word this guy was singing. But I liked this one, purely for the vibes The Billie Jean cover really threw me off, seemed totally out of place to sing in English for this one song. But he did a great job and put his own twist on it! 4 ⭐️
Instant 5 star!! 🔥 This is one of the albums that define my teenage years, and I still listen to it. I remember watching the American Idiot music video on MTV and thinking Billie Joe was so cool. What a time to be alive This album was huge. For years I couldn't walk into a HMV without seeing this album plastered all over. Green Day still use American Idiot to make political statements. Wake Me Up When September ends is still a meme. They still play the majority of this album live. You wouldn't think it was over 20 years old This is THE Green Day album. Banger after banger! Hearing those guitar riffs just hit the right part of my brain🤘🏻 Sick album cover. They're also one of the best bands I have ever seen live. Hella Mega tour was insane. They nailed it with this one. Points all round honestly 5 ⭐️
A very nice album! Bridge Over Troubled Water is such a beautiful song. I also love Cecilia! I thought the cover by The Vamps was the original version up until a few years ago. Much to my surprise! 4 ⭐️
Some good stuff here! The first half of this album could have been 5 star, loved it. 2nd half was good but seemed to slow down too much for my liking I knew a lot of these songs already - a very enjoyable album 4 ⭐️
Girls & Boys - What a song!! 🔥 A++ I knew I'd probably enjoy this album based off the Blur songs I know. I only knew two from this album - Girls & Boys and of course Parklife On the whole I enjoyed this album. But some of the songs didn't have the same energy as the rest, just fell a bit flat? Album filler A few of these songs will be stuck in my head all night now. Mega catchy Allllll the peeeeopleeeeee 4 ⭐️
Imagine waking up in the morning, excited to see what your daily album is. Only to find its another fucking Tom Waits album I've already suffered through 2 of his other albums - both a 1 star. I hate to say it but this album was slightly more bearable. The songs were ok! But his VOICE!!! Dreadful For that reason its getting a 2. But I will never be a Tom Waits fan 2 ⭐️
What a voice! There were a few songs that I recognised on here. The others were a joy to discover A very nice album 4 ⭐️
This album!!!! 😭❤️ We had this album at home and I overplayed it to death. Every single song is so good! You've got the underrated songs like Politik and Green Eyes, and 4 big singles. The Scientist is 5 star worthy itself Clocks was one of the first songs I learnt to play on piano, and one of the songs that inspired me to take lessons. This album just takes me back to a very specific time in my life. Hits me right in the feels I feel like people pre judge Coldplay based off what they hear on the radio - but I think this is their best album 5 ⭐️
I was really into this as soon as I heard the opening guitar riff! Megadeth - a band I've heard so much about but couldn't name you a single song. They were good!! 🔥 It did all start to sound similar towards the end. But that's ok if you enjoy this sort of music and some badass guitar 4 ⭐️
