Well..that was a thing
Couldn’t get through it
3.5. Really liked this album and where Spotify went from there. Also The Fall interjected in a mix is very good.
It was fine. Think there are much better Wilson/Beach Boys albums.

Although I enjoyed this album, there were times that I was wishing that it was over. There are some songs I really liked such as “Be My Wife”. Most of the synth heavy songs I was waiting for Dieter to pop out and ask me if I wanted to touch his monkey.
Love me some Leonard Cohen. But I found over the years, that you have to be in the mood for him. Yesterday was not it.
Yeeahhh….no
This album is part of my soul.
I bet Bryce was happy when this came up.
And you thought Paul McCartney could right some songs
Good god, Brian May
I must be the only person to have never listened to an Arcade Fire Album
I can’t imagine the amount of acid I would have to take to enjoy this album.
The world’s introduction to the marvel that is Mike Patton.
I made it to the fourth song so that’s an accomplishment
This album is rocks equivalent of a musical…people with poor musical taste love it. Every song feels like an hour long. We get it Meatloaf; you want to get laid. Lastly, Bob’s bitch tits.
Wasn’t familiar with this album. Pretty good.
I can leave without hearing Heroin again, but there are so many great songs on here
There are some good songs on here despite Johnny Rotten. Still a better album than Yeezus
This deserves a 2.5 but not a two or three
Really I would give this 2.5 stars if I could. I’ve never been able to connect with Jay Z.
This does not qualify as metal. At best it’s pop punk.
Good rainy day music
I couldn’t get through two songs
This album is so amazing. When The Band comes out to play is one the most incredible moments in history. Side note - Robbie Robertson crushes it. I highly recommend you listen to Cat Powers version of this entire set. Best cover of Dylan ever.
Really enjoyed this album. Wish they were on Spotify
Come on it’s the Beatles. What’s not to love
Not really sure this should be required listening
Wait….Geof rated a pop album high. I’m so confused. I thought Geof hated pop. Well motherfuckers, this album is the bomb. Don’t fuck with either Duran; let alone both of them.
This is one of my all time favorite albums. Nothing says summer time like the car windows open and this blasting at full volume.
Everything about this album screams Doug and that’s not a bad thing
Insert Oasis joke here
Solid. Solid. Sonic Youth
Not my favorite of his but I do love that this album brought him back into popular culture
I’m done listening to PIL. I can’t take anymore of Johnny Rotten.
Every track on this album is top notch Dylan
Love this album. It was also my introduction to Ry Cooder.
Not a bad album. But I did feel like I was shopping at Nordstroms all day
Every other song is killer; the rest is meh.
I never knew that he wrote some many songs that I knew.
Classic
3.5. Way better than PIL
Nothing not to love. Plus it makes Bryce happy
Every track on this album is great.
Bangers!
Boooooo
It’s hard for me to explain how important this album is to me and my life. Much like the music, Bitch’s Brew’s meaning has swirled and evolved over time. This isn’t music that is easily digestible, but the more I sit and truly listen to it, the more it becomes a feast for the soul. This album open me up to what possibilities are and could be.
Meh
This would be a 4 star if Ringo didn’t sing.
There’s a reason I’ve never heard of this guy and it’s because he’s no good
Every time I listen to T.Rex; I think “man I need some of him on vinyl”
Solid 3.5.
This was one of the most disjointed albums I’ve ever listened to
A masterpiece amongst many
Although I enjoy much of this album, the singer’s voice is really grating. Don’t feel like this should be on the list.
Meh
Love every bit of this album
Doug is wrong. Steely Dan is great.
Really was hoping I would like this more. At best 2.5 stars
I mean….god damn. This album slays from the opening song to the last. I would give it 11 stars if I could
I really want to give this a 4, but it is more like a 3.5. Some awesome tracks on this album.
A fine album. Really enjoyed where Spotify took me after this album was done.
3.5. Had this album on cassette
This was one of the first albums I ever had.
I feel the same way about the doors as Jim feels about LED zeppelin
Not sure why this made the list
This is maybe my favorite Neil Youmg album
Love me some Nick Cave
The voice of an angel
3 songs in and I’m extremely bored. Does not bode well. This album was awfully dull
Just can’t get into Cocteau Twins
Couldn’t get through all the blips and boops.
This album has nothing redeemable.
Yawn
Out of principle I should rate this a 1, but I’m feeling generous.
Krautrock at its finest. 3.5 stars
Talk about repetitive electronic music
It was fine
I’m good with when the Sex Pistols are mixed in with other music, but not a fan of a full album
3.5
Soundgarden is one of my all time favorite bands and these is a masterpiece
I got like 30 seconds in and was like nope
3.5. Can understand now why Doug is a fan.
This album feels like boomers love it.
Every song is a banger. This is one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
3.5
Surprisingly I didn’t hate this album
This is one of the best, not just by Herbie Hancock but by any musician
Totally a hookers and blow album
3.5. I always mix this band up with my chemical romance
3.5. As I gotten, I’ve come to appreciate Elvis more and more. Do I think he was the greatest? No. Do I think he’s still alive? You’re darn tootin’.
Meh
3.5. As with most Bowie albums, there are some bangers, some gems, and some misses. This album is no different
Man he could write some songs
I can take Bjork in small doses
Enjoyed this more than I thought
Yawn.
3.5. This is more my style of hip hop
This is a masterpiece
Not sure this should be on the list.
Meh
It’s an ok psychedelic album. Wouldn’t be notable if it was for the last track
3.5
The only thing unfortunately about this album coming up is the timing. This is a perfect winter album
Just can’t get into newer hip hop
Much more my speed
Every time I listen to Nina Simone, I realize that I don’t listen to enough Nina Simone
I love that this is the response to Pet Shop Sounds by The Beach Boys
3.5. Can’t remember which track, but one of them has Jimi Hendrix on it. Think it’s Good Times Bad atimes
Every time I listen to Pavement I remember how much I like Pavement
One good song. The rest pedestrian
Rambling’ Jack is great, the go-between Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan
Other than “Time of the Season” this album is pretty boring
Not as awful of a listening experience as I thought it was going to be. By no means am I becoming a Swifty.
2.5. Just an average Neil Young album
Meh
I took me awhile to get aboard the Adele train, but goddamn she is a gem.
3.5
3.5
Meh
Even though Blowing In The Wind is the song that put Dylan on the map, I’ve always found it to be the weakest.
All style no substance
3.5. Really liked this album and where Spotify went from there. Also The Fall interjected in a mix is very good.
Would have been nice to listen to the whole album. Thanks Spotify.
Wish it was the Pixies
Had a manager at an old job that loved this band. Never thought they were amazing but didn’t dislike them either
I don’t care what anyone thinks; I love U2.
Generic 80’s music.
Near perfect
2.5. Not sure this is required, but a decent listen
3.5
I forgot this album as it was playing
Didn’t make it through the second song.
3.5. Good working music
I enjoyed this. Never had heard them before
3.5
Opening with Ace of Spades is ballsy, and exactly what you would expect from Motorhead
I am so thankful that I got to see B.B. live. He was a national treasure.
3.5. More and more I listen to the Bryce the more and more I really like them
This album completely change the coarse of my musical journey back in middle school.
Bangers none stop bangers. Favorite fact about this album is “Private Dancer” was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.
3.5. This is one of his best albums.
5 songs in and I’m still waiting for good song. This may be one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard. This is not boding well….it’s confirmed. This is up there with one of the worst. I’ll never get that 38 minutes and 48 seconds back.
Love this album. It’s the foundation of so much music that I love
Very 90’s British.
This band is very underrated
Made it to the second song and had to turn off.
Yawn
Love this album and Wilco
I’ve listened to this album for nearly 30 years and still find something new in it.
This instantly turned into back ground.
It was fine. Think there are much better Wilson/Beach Boys albums.
Love me some Jon Spencer, but I think Orange should be on this list over this album. Also he is coming to the Beachland on May 21.
This is my favorite Beck album
Some times I love Velvet Underground. Yesterday was not that day
I don’t think this would be on this list if Dennis wasn’t apart of The Beach Boys. The album isn’t bad but it’s not great.
For Jim and I
This is a killer album that I’ve never fully listened to
3.5
I haven’t listen to this album since high school. Although never a big Green Day, I can respect what they did.
This is great
Just can’t seem to get into this band.
🤘
2.5
This maybe the least beach boys beach boys album which is why I dug iy
This has no business being on this list
Nice little album
Other than the Humpty Dance this album is meh.
Got through 3 songs….nope
For Jimmy
3.5
2.5. A lovely album. Gershwin is a little saccharine for my taste
Every girl I knew in college loved Bjork
Meh…
Never got into Sinatra but this is a fine album
This album is fantastic. Knocked down for “Voices of Old People”
Talk about timing. 😢
Well..that was a thing
3.5
3.5
Lame
3.5
Although not my thing, I did listen to the whole album
I don’t know. Never really got the appeal of Cheap Trick
Didn’t even get through it
3.5 because it still have a crush for Tori Amos
I think there are much better Pink Floyd albums. But this album always takes me back to a disgruntled middle schooler. 3.5
Would have given a 3, but this album is way too long.
Snooze
Always feel like I should like Roxy Music more, but I just don’t.
Always felt UB40 was were reggae went to die
This is my favorite Beatles album.
Pretty forgettable
Knock a star for Paul Di’Anno. A killer first album otherwise
Highly recommended you listen to her interview with Rick Rubin. She is a fascinating person.
For the entirety of this album, I didn’t realize it was even playing.
3.5
3.5. Totally a fan of Mike Watt, one of the best bass players not many know about.
This is the second best solo Wu album after Liquid Swords.
If memory serves me correctly, Eels played the loudest show in Beachland history
Got through the intro and said “nope”
I know that Todd Rundgren is one of most influential producers of our time. However, I’ve always found his own music is to self-grandiose for my liking.
I’m pretty sure this is the guy whose guitar is smashed by Belushi.
Remember loving this album when it came out but now I’m just meh. A Beautiful Day and Kite are still really good songs
A decent album. An essential album? No
For Jim and I
Didn’t make it through. Not essential
There are a number of Metallica albums that should be on this list but this isn’t one of them
Old Possum!
70s ZZ Top is the bestt
3.5
Couldn’t get through it
This is my all time favorite hip hop album
