Good album, but not 1001 albums material.

I think this is the second time I hear this album in full. The first time was right when it launched, a few days before he passed. I was so in shock, realizing the true meaning of some of these songs, that I couldn’t hear it again casually. Almost cried hearing it again. Amazing album.

So Lana Del Rey is actually pretty good now?
Beck is 100% my soft spot. This album is just one more masterpiece from him.
Sorry, but I have a soft spot for U2.

Great first choice, masterpiece from Arcade Fire (that apparently just got worse after this)
What a voice.
(Really) better than expected.
Not bad... But not good either.
Amazing album
Beautiful album.
Nice album, good trip.
Better than expected… But still not my thing.
Better than I thought, but still not my thing
Nice album
Better than expected
Great finding
Finally stopped to listen The Kinks. Nice finding.
So Lana Del Rey is actually pretty good now?
Nice album. Definitely a reference for future bands that came after it.
Should’ve listen to it a long time ago
So good
What a journey
Great finding.
Not my thing
Really good.
Not bad
Soft spot. Favorite album from my first favorite band.
Nice album. Fools gold looks so much different from the rest.
A wild ride that doesn't make much sense
Nice album
Great album
Nice album, Let's Get It On is incredibly underrated (and overexposed).
Nice album, but nothing much.
Another soft spot, first album I ever heard from them. Made sure to listen to the Deluxe version for the ultimate experience.
Finally had a chance to listen to it.
It’s so 90’s
Nice finding
Not my type of music, but great album
Classic masterpiece.
Almost timeless, beautiful
Not really my style, but great album
Never really heard Bruce Springsteen before, it was surprising, not sure why
Meh
Beck is 100% my soft spot. This album is just one more masterpiece from him.
Another opportunity to really listen to a band I only knew a few songs. Great album, not what I expected.
Great finding outside my confort zone
Nice album, weird cover.
Not my type of music, but genius.
A little noisy, but great album
I’m 100% The Love Below. Great albums anyway.
Great voice, but a piece of shit.
I’m too maistream about Queen. Didn’t know any of these songs. Great album
Great finding. Ended too quickly.
What a journey…
Unfortunately ended too fast. Great album.
Great album
Great album from a great movie
Sex.
AQUI É BRASIL. What a voice
Masterpiece
Inspiring lyrics, but not.
I just love Beck and (almost) all his phases. This is one of my favorites.
I think this is the second time I hear this album in full. The first time was right when it launched, a few days before he passed. I was so in shock, realizing the true meaning of some of these songs, that I couldn’t hear it again casually. Almost cried hearing it again. Amazing album.
Almost singing all of it out loud on the bus. Too good.
For the nostalgia (and the singles)
Realizing that my favorite Beastie Boys songs are the ones that don’t look like Beastie Boys.
Not my favorite genre, but WOW, Sepultura is so good. As a brazilian, hearing a berimbau and many other cultural references in a heavy metal album is amazing.
My favorite Radiohead album.
I used to listen to newer Guided by Voices, but this is bad. Sorry.
Perfection.
So much different than I thought it would be. Still, bad lyrics
First time hearing a full album of them. I was really not expecting rap in the middle of it. Not bad.
I like indie music, but this is just not good. Sorry if I don’t get it.
Ugh, not listening to this.
My sister was the LP fan in the family, but I heard this album indirectly so many times that I know all the songs. Must be the nostalgia, but this album is really really good.
I tried. I listened to all of it. But no. I don’t like it. At all.
E lá se vai mais um dia… This made me miss my parents.
Sorry, but it’s sooooo boring.
Yeah, no. He’s still a piece of shit.
“Before we go any further, I’d like to show you all a game I made up. This game is called Soooounds of the Studio” and I thought my player was playing Hot Chip in the middle of the album. Their version of the game is more fun. Good album by the way.
A bit meh
Love The Hives, but their previous albums are so much better than this compilation.
For someone who grew up hating Eminem, it’s actually not that bad? But yeah, the lyrics sucks (as a non-native English speaker, I couldn’t understand most of it).
Not bad, but soooo loooong
I don’t know how I survived this. WHY SO LONG AND BORING?
Some classics, but nothing else.
Nope.
Nope.
This is Brazil, with some lousy lyrics.
YES, I see it now.
So random, so long…
Masterpiece.
I don’t want to be a Taylor Swift hater, but… It’s just BAD. Lyrically, rhythmically, vocally bad. Sorry, but not sorry.
Love this album. Don’t think it should be here.
Such an arrangement for “A man needs a maid”. 😬
COMO É BOM SER BRASILEIRA
Not a Britney fan. Not a great album either.
Beautiful.
Not sure why it’s here, but I love it.
Damn, Nick Cave keeps getting better (never listened before 1001)
Yeah, the man is good.
Masterpiece
Sorry, but I have a soft spot for U2.
Amazing voice
Yeah, I like it. Sorry, haters.
Say whatever you want, it’s the type of rock I really like.
It’s been a while since I didn’t listen to Illinois. Almost cried when it started. Sufjan is just REALLY, REALLY good.
Maybe too long, but I liked it. PS after reading wikipedia: I've never heard about him before, now I know why. Damn, they really thought Manson was a great guy? I mean, WTF. But still, a good album.
Listened to this countless times. There Goes the Fear is an obvious classic, but there are so many great songs here. To end with Caught by the River… Just amazing.
Sorry, but... No. Just so generic.
Kashmir is such a masterpiece... But it's the only song that really stand out
Fred Durst is an idiot, but not idiot enough to not listen to this. I have to admit, this hip-hop/nu metal fusion is actually good, at least melodically. Because yeah, most lyrics are shit. My Way and Take a Look Around (with the MI riff) are my soft spots.
Yeah, I had a Strokes-fangirl moment, is that obvious?
No purpose, no good. Sorry.
Just so long and boring
One of many faces of Bowie. Love it.
Maybe more nostalgic than good...
Good album, but not 1001 albums material.
His vocals are kind of lame, then he started screaming in my ears... I mean, PLEASE.
Kind of all over the place... But I like it
Almost felt like listening to The Rapture, so yeah, I liked it.
Say whatever you want, but this is genious and weird and beautiful, so as every album of hers.
I mean, I know it's not the greatest album ever made, but I was a secret fan growing up and listened to it so many times over the years... Brought up many feelings...
I know what you're going to say: another lame britpop band. But I LOOOOVE IT. Heard for the first time maybe 15 years ago, exactly this album, and felt in love with all of it.
I was a "hater" back then... But yeah, she was REALLY that good. Gone way too soon.
Not my favorite Bowie album, but still really really good.
Very nostalgic for me, but not a 1001 material.
A little bit for nostalgia, but still a masterpiece
Just banger after banger.
Remind me of The Hives.
Yes, I tried to learn icelandic because of my obsession with Sigur Rós when I was a teenager. What can I say, I was a weird teenager. Maybe not the most "palatable" album, but so good.
