I thought I would like this more but it was a bit boring. But the cat on the cover made me like it slightly more.

Fatboy Slim
4/5
This was fun, not something I would listen to on my own tbh. I did enjoy the very dated sound effects used throughout the album. Made it feel really nostalgic.
I was also surprised that the first song was familiar!
Hugh Masekela
4/5
This was a fun Jaxx album. Definitely something to put on in the background while trying to focus
Eminem
3/5
Interesting, I liked the story style but not necessarily the stories.
Sufjan Stevens
4/5
I liked this, and would listen again. However it felt very long to me. So I'd definitely require another listen when I'm not tired to see how I enjoy it.
Iron Maiden
4/5
This was interesting. I'm not sure I'm the biggest fan of the lead singers voice, and for me that plays a big role in album enjoyment.
CHIC
5/5
This one is very city pop, definitely a vibe. I would absolutely listen to this again
U2
5/5
This one has been the most my style so far. I love the vocals, and the guitar, the whole vibe is great. I've listened to it at least 3-4 times
The Avalanches
2/5
This one was okay. It had static sounds that my ears are sensitive to. I liked the beats but I wouldn't listen again.
Electric Light Orchestra
5/5
Loved this! Vocals reminded me of the Beatles and the tunes were catchy. Will listen again.
XTC
4/5
This was pleasant, I'd probably Listen again.
Adele

The singles were good, but I only really enjoyed one of the bsides.
Van Halen
4/5
I like the guitar in this. I also know some of the songs vaguely. I'd likely listen again
Pink Floyd

I think this was really interesting. I likely would need to listen to it again and really focus on it so I could get the meaning.
Miles Davis
4/5
Fun jazz tunes, loved how raw the instruments sounded. Would make nice background music!
George Michael
3/5

3/5
Not bad but not necessarily my genre. I don't listen to a lot of dance music.
Iron Butterfly

Will listen again! Love this sound, loved the vocals
The Cure
5/5
Really liked this. Will listen again. It had great guitar moments
Thin Lizzy
3/5
I can appreciate that this is an impressive live album, but I'd rather listen to recordings than a live album. Not a fan of the cheering.
Rod Stewart
3/5
I'm not sure I would listen again. I liked some songs a lot but others I can't remember enjoying.
Yes
5/5

Jorge Ben Jor
2/5

Daft Punk
2/5
Not my style but it's funky
Aretha Franklin
3/5
I can respect this album but it's not something I would listen to
Bebel Gilberto
3/5
This was a nice soothing album, I'm unsure if I'd listen again but it felt nice to hear.
R.E.M.
4/5
I really dug this, I'll have to listen to it again to get a real feel. But the first impression was 🔥🔥🔥
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
4/5
I would definitely listen to this again. This style feels nostalgic and comforting even though I never heard it growing up.
Beatles
4/5
This had some real gems. Yellow Submarine reminded me of Beatles year at my dance studio, it feels like I've heard that song hundreds of times even though I doubt it. I might listen again but cut out Y.S or skip it.
The Divine Comedy
2/5
I loved the instrumental in this album but that alone wouldn't make me relisten.
Lupe Fiasco
1/5
Not my style at all.
Garbage
3/5
I like this, but I'm giving it 3 stars because I'd need to listen to it again before I say for sure if it would go into my rotation.
Pixies
4/5
Enjoyed this a lot! Will be listening again.
A Tribe Called Quest
3/5
This is actually a really good rap album. I enjoyed the vocals (the rappers voices) and it was pretty pleasing to my ears. Unfortunately I know I likely won't listen to a rap album on my own, but I'll still give it a 3 for being so good to me, someone who doesn't listen to rap.
Aerosmith
4/5
I liked this but I didn't love it. I do think it would be a great album to listen to again, so I am giving it 4 stars. While listening I kept thinking how it would be a great addition to my vinyl collection.
Big Star
3/5
This wasn't bad but I wasn't able to listen to every track. This likely messed up the albums intention, and I'm not sure why 5/6 are unavailable in Canada. So I'm giving it a 3 because while I liked it, I wouldn't be able to listen to the full thing at once.
The Damned
4/5
This was good but I don't think I loved it. The sound was a bit too unpolished, the best way I can describe it is garage band feel. I might give it another try but the flow wasn't my favorite.
Radiohead
4/5
This was interesting I think I would listen again just so I can take in the concept better.
LCD Soundsystem
2/5
Lyrics kind of killed this one for me. Sometimes it felt too comedic. Unsure if that was the intent but I don't think I'd listen to it again.
Tom Waits
1/5
Every time a song ended and a new one began I groaned. I kept praying the album was almost done, only to see multiple songs left in the queue. I was so happy I will never have to listen to this album again. I don't think it's the artist Because I like other songs of theirs but this album is NO.
The The
5/5
I enjoyed this album a lot! The funkiness really shined here, and the vocals matched well. Can't wait to listen to this again!
Lynyrd Skynyrd
5/5
So good! Amazing. I finally got to listen to Free Bird after hearing about it in dated television shows and it did not disappoint!
Lorde
5/5
Iconic. Legendary. Who is doing it like her? This album will forever have my heart, got me through difficult times and I appreciate it differently everytime I listen. This is Melodrama, baby!
The Doors
4/5
Interesting album! I love the vibe and the vocals, definitely will listen again.
Miles Davis
3/5
Good jazz but not something I would listen to often if I'm honest.
T. Rex
3/5
Simply put, I do not like the singers voice and so I could not enjoy this album. The instrumentation was great but unfortunately that doesn't matter in the end.
1/5
If I ever want to cause a panic attack I will listen to this again.
I struggled with the lack of melody, lack of beat, it was too chaotic. It felt like brass players trying to one up each other.
Pulp
4/5
At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like this album, but as it kept going my enjoyment grew. I'd definitely snag a vinyl of this if I found one.
Thelonious Monk
3/5
It's jazz, it's not bad but not something I'd listen to in my regular rotation.
Teenage Fanclub
3/5
This was pretty good, easy to listen to and I enjoyed the guitar.
The Young Rascals
4/5
I enjoyed this a lot. I didn't listen with headphones so I need to do that.
The Good, The Bad & The Queen
3/5
This album wasn't bad but I can't really picture myself listening to it again.
Isaac Hayes
4/5
This was actually pretty good. I enjoyed how calming it felt to listen to this.
The Verve
4/5
I liked this but I would have to listen to it again with headphones on to get the full effect.
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
This isn't a bad album but it was kind of boring to me. Too much country twang in his voice, and it felt way too long.
Dizzee Rascal
2/5
This wasn't really my style. I could listen to it but I would never listen again.
Snoop Dogg
2/5
Booker T. & The MG's
4/5
Really liked this! Would definitely listen again in the background
Various Artists
3/5
Merry Christmas! Learned Phil Spector is a murderer so that last track was very weird to listen to. Otherwise a nice album
Linkin Park
4/5
This was really angsty. I didn't hate it but I'm not sure I'd listen to it again, some tracks are highlights but overall not my fave.
Rush
4/5
I'm enjoying this right now, I like the vocals and the guitar. But I have to listen to it again when I can really focus, because I feel like I'm not appreciating it properly.
Orbital
2/5
This is a dance album. Not my genre at all, would never listen again.
Depeche Mode
3/5
This wasn't bad but I don't think I'd listen again.
Frank Sinatra
3/5
I think I'd listen to this again, it sounded very nostalgic.
Japan
3/5
This was fine, I'm not sure if I loved it or would require more listens but it wasn't an immediate favorite.
Merle Haggard
3/5
A bit too much country twang for me, but it wasn't overly offensive luckily!
The Residents
2/5
Okay honestly this was kind of camp. But I would never listen again.
Michael Jackson
3/5
This was nice and I respect the influence but I don't think I'd ever go out of my way to listen to the entire album.
Elliott Smith
3/5
I think I would listen to this again, I like their voice and the slight folk twinge.
Ray Charles
5/5
Loved this so much! The vocals 🔥 the instruments 🔥 just my style
Stereo MC's
2/5
This wasn't bad but I know I'd never listen to it again. Completely not my style.
Nitin Sawhney
2/5
This is relaxing to listen to (even if the subject matter might not have been so light) and very interesting. I've never listened to an album in this language mixed with electronic.
However I'd likely never listen to it again.
Michael Kiwanuka
4/5
I really like this! His voice is beautiful and the music just felt right. I'd have to listen again to be sure if I want to add it to my rotation.
Nick Drake
4/5
This was nice, I enjoyed the instrumentals and I already know I like his voice. I like that it felt different to the other Nick Drake album I listened to.
The Last Shadow Puppets
4/5
I liked this a lot! It was really fun and I'm excited to listen again.
Circle Jerks
2/5
This feels like an album you'd listen to to prove to your parents you're edgy.
Metallica
5/5
This was just great. I can't wait to listen to it again.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
This was really good. I think I'd have to listen more though because while I love the deeper vocals, the falsetto is really unpleasant.
Van Morrison
4/5
I like this album, what stood out to me first was the instrumentation. On a second listen I began to appreciate the vocals more. Not sure it's an instant 5 star but it could move that way with more listens.
The Style Council
3/5
This was interesting, but it wasn't very cohesive. I'm not sure if I'd listen again but I did enjoy it.
Saint Etienne
2/5
So this was not terrible, but I'm never going to willingly listen to dance style music without many lyrics.
The Icarus Line
3/5
I'm not sure if I loved this or not, I think I'd have to listen to it a few more times to be sure.
Radiohead
5/5
I loved this a lot, I was familiar with some of the songs already but the rest were just as good.
Led Zeppelin
3/5
Unfortunately I didn't love this as much as LZIV, I might give it another chance in the future but some choices were a bit too weird for me.
Nirvana
3/5
If there wasn't clapping and the occasional comment from the singer I wouldn't know this was a live album. Really well done in that regard. If they didn't include the clapping I would likely listen to this but it's just something I don't enjoy.
Terence Trent D'Arby
3/5
It had some fun moment but overall I didn't love a lot of the lyrics, and his vocals aren't my favorite (they aren't bad! I just don't find the tone my favorite). To me this album was very reminiscent of the 80s and maybe Michael Jackson on an initial listen, especially the earlier songs. I think it might have been the vocals, not sure if that was the popular style at the time or not or just a coincidence.
I personally wouldn't listen to this again
Amy Winehouse
4/5
Amy Winehouse has such a beautiful, unique voice. It was such a joy to hear her sing this album, as I've never heard any of the songs before. I enjoyed the pop and Jazz mix of the instruments as well.
GZA
1/5
Not my style. The storytelling segments mixed with the music was interesting but also felt a bit disjointed.
Pixies
4/5
Initially I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this album but as it went on it felt almost familiar. I need a few more listens to determine if it will join my rotation.
Pretenders
2/5
Honestly not sure I really liked this, and it comes down to the vocals. I just wasn't a fan.
Moby
2/5
I would never personally listen to this but it had some fun moments. Honey was the standout to me, likely because I've heard it before.
Nas
2/5
Not a fan of this genre
Led Zeppelin
4/5
This started strong, and I really enjoyed it. I think I'd rank it higher than two but around the same as four
Ray Charles
4/5
This was a nice listen, it felt very nostalgic. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to listen to this on the daily, but as a vinyl to play in the background I think I would really enjoy it.
Metallica
4/5
I didn't enjoy this as much as their self titled album, however it still was good. I'd need to listen to it a few more times before I decide if I'd add it to my rotation.
Pet Shop Boys
5/5
Loved this album! It's so fun.
The Waterboys
5/5
Loved this! Not sure I'd listen to disc 2 tracks much but the first half is fun.
Taylor Swift
4/5
As someone who only listens to her albums Folklore and Evermore, this was better than I thought. Besides the many title tracks I have heard over the years on the radio there are actually some nice songs within this. I can't say I'd listen to or enjoy this as much and Folklore and Evermore, but it's a strong pop album.
The Band
3/5
Honestly I wanted to like this because it's funky but something about it is too country sounding for me. Before people judge, I know it's rock and roll but the Americana has too much twang for me.
John Coltrane
5/5
Another great jazz album!
Harry Nilsson
3/5
When I was a kid I listened to a Little Mermaid cover album that had "Coconut" sung by Sebastian. I never thought I'd listen to the original.
Other than that this album was fun. In some songs Nilsson definitely sounded like a Beatles member.
New Order
2/5
This was a fun listen but it didn't really grab me.
Neil Young
4/5
I liked this a lot, shame it's not on streaming but that just means I'll have to get a physical copy!
De La Soul
2/5
Some of this album had a fun beat and I enjoyed listening to it. But I didn't love the quiz show bit and also "De La Orgee" kinda ruined it for me.
David Gray
5/5
Wait I like this a lot? I wasn't sure for the first couple of songs but I fell in love with Gray's voice and the songs were relaxing to listen to.
The Temptations
3/5
This was a nice listen, there's something about older albums like this that feel so nostalgic.. even though they're decades older than me.
The Rolling Stones
4/5
Loved this album! Never expected to like The Rolling Stones if I'm honest, so this was a nice surprise.
Steely Dan
5/5
Such a good album. I love the vocals and all of the harmonies, and the melodies are fun. That's two Steely Dan albums I love.
Depeche Mode
3/5
This was a good album, I enjoyed listening to it. However I would likely never choose to listen to it.
Madness
3/5
This was fun, I didn't love every song but I can see why it's on this list.
Elastica
3/5
Besides the vocals I did enjoy this album. But I just wasn't a fan of how the vocals were done, if they were more balanced with the instruments I might like it better.
Simple Minds
4/5
I liked this album! I would listen again but I'm not sure if it is a top album for me.
Willie Nelson
4/5
I've heard of Willie Nelson but I couldn't remember what genre or style his songs were. I then made the mistake of working out to this album.
While it is a good album, I would not recommend listening when you need high energy music to keep you awake during a workout!
Kendrick Lamar
1/5
So this is just not for me. It's not that it's bad, but rap is just a genre I can't connect with.
4/5
I enjoyed this album a lot! I forgot to take notes so I can't remember exactly why (writing this the next day as you do)
Ramones
4/5
I was so excited to get this album! I've heard of the Ramones before but I had never listened to them intentionally. Did not disappoint, loved the band and the vocals.
Orbital
2/5
Weirdly this album really helped me focus while I was working. Other than that it was just okay.
R.E.M.
4/5
Really enjoyed this album. Something about the singers voice is very nostalgic to me.
Wu-Tang Clan
2/5
Not for me. No matter how many rap/hip-hop albums I listen to I just can't find an emotional connection to the vocals. The lyrics obviously can be deep but I've never had an easy time connecting to a rapper in the way I do vocalists.
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
I liked this, but if I'm honest it wasn't amazing. I'd have to listen another couple times to figure out if I really like it.
3/5
I think if you're a Bob Dylan fan you will enjoy listening to this. However I am not very familiar with him so the first half of this was very boring. I enjoyed the second half more but I still hate listening to clapping in albums.
Bonnie Raitt
2/5
This sounds like something my dad would listen to. But not in a good way?
Dire Straits
4/5
Loved listening to this! It was so interesting.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
This wasn't bad, but nothing outstanding.
Gotan Project
2/5
Not my style, very European sounding though.
Blood, Sweat & Tears
4/5
This was so interesting in the best way possible. I love jazz and rock so to hear them mixed was amazing
Suede
4/5
This was really good! Very my style
Kendrick Lamar
2/5
This is better than the last Kendrick album I got, but not my genre still.
The Flaming Lips
5/5
I liked this but I think I need to listen to it again to decide if it gets a 4.
Edit: I had to go back and change this to a 5. It's been bothering me for months that I low balled this score.
The Pogues
4/5
This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect anything from the 80s to sound like this, and it was so fun! I'm not sure I get much of the "punk spirit" they're described to have but I assume it's in the lyrics.
Stan Getz
3/5
Some nice jazz music to work to.
Moby Grape
3/5
This was just okay. Nothing really stand out.
Beatles
3/5
So for me to love an album it has to be somewhat cohesive. Ignoring the fact that this is a Beatles record there are a few songs I like. But there's more messy songs than good songs.
Talking Heads
3/5
This wasn't a bad album. Nothing grabbed me emotionally so it was just alright.
Magazine
3/5
I enjoyed this but I'm not sure I'd listen to it again??
Missy Elliott
2/5
This wasn't bad! But some of the lyrics were very cringe to me.
Tito Puente
4/5
I killed a spider while listening to this album and it gave me the courage to stomp on it. Needless to say, it was a good album.
Jethro Tull
5/5
I really liked listening to this album.
Coldplay
4/5
I enjoy Coldplay but I'm not sure if I'd listen to a full album more than once.
Frank Sinatra
4/5
This was great, very nostalgic sound that reminded me of my grandpa.
2Pac
2/5
Still not a fan of this genre, but I do prefer the instrumentals of the 90s.
Carole King
3/5
I thought I would like this more but it was a bit boring. But the cat on the cover made me like it slightly more.
Run-D.M.C.
4/5
Wow! I actually enjoyed this a lot. Probably my favorite hip hop album from the list so far. Mixing it with rock was perfect, and even the songs without it were quite fun.
The Velvet Underground
4/5
I've never heard of this album before and so I had no expectations (as with most albums on this list to be honest). I really did enjoy it! It started quite strong and while maybe it got a bit weaker for me at the end, I think I would listen to it again.
Love
5/5
I didn't expect to be immediately sucked into this album, but I was captivated. The first three song run is beautiful, and the rest is also quite good. This will be added to my rotation.
Don McLean
5/5
McLean's voice is so captivating. Listening to it is like a warm hug after coming in from the rain.
Talking Heads
3/5
This wasn't as interesting to me as the other talking heads album.
The Offspring
4/5
I liked this more than I thought I would
David Bowie
3/5
Honestly this one is just okay. I didn't feel any connection to his vocals or the songs unfortunately.
Derek & The Dominos
3/5
This sounds like generic dad rock.
Prince
2/5
This album just screams 80s but not in a good way.
Nightmares On Wax
3/5
I went in dreading this by the name alone but it was quite a good listen. I'm not sure if I'd listen to it again so it's getting a 3.
Pink Floyd
4/5
Liked this a lot! The perfect soundtrack for while I was working out.
Frank Zappa
4/5
I'm conflicted. I hated his voice when he sang but I really enjoyed everything else about the album. I think that gives it 4 stars???
Bad Company
2/5
This was just really boring. Nothing interesting.
The Undertones
3/5
The lyrics on this feel quite juvenile, and looking at the cover art I don't imagine the members are much older than high school age.
Not everyone can make good lyrics, but they did have good instrumentals at least.
Dagmar Krause
2/5
Okay if I'm honest I'd give this a 2.5, however I decided to round down. It's not bad, her vocals are good. But I can't put my finger on why this was so odd to me.
Louis Prima
2/5
This was just okay. I like some bits but it was a bit boring at other times.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
I forgot that I listened to this album yesterday, so that should tell you how memorable it was to me.
Joy Division
3/5
To be honest the vocals weren't my favorite and the rest of this album was quite boring.
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
This was just okay
The Mamas & The Papas
4/5
I really liked it! I was already familiar with them and a couple songs, so it was nice to hear the whole album.
Funkadelic
4/5
Fried ice cream IS a reality!
I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, it's just so fun!
ZZ Top
3/5
This is not bad but it's a very standard rock album.
Fiona Apple
5/5
At first I was a bit skeptical listening to this. Then about halfway through it hit me how beautiful everything about these songs are.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
2/5
I'm sure if you're high this is a spiritual experience.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3/5
This wasn't bad but I didn't find anything special about it.
The Isley Brothers
3/5
Really enjoyed this, I need to listen to it again but I think it's a 3.
Elliott Smith
4/5
I liked this, but I think spring was the wrong season to listen to this. To me, it sounds like it would be perfect to listen to in the fall. If I imagine it's fall when I'm listening then I like it more lol
Meat Puppets
2/5
Since this is an early album of theirs I really hope the singer took some vocal lessons later on... If they made this an instrumental album without vocals I would have rated it higher.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
3/5
His voice isn't pleasant in this album. Crazy Horse did a good job though.
Crowded House
4/5
This album has some real gems. I think with a few more listens it might go into my rotation, but for a single listen I'd give it a 4.
The Beach Boys
3/5
Before this album, my knowledge of The Beach Boys was exclusively from their appearances on Full House. I had no idea they were such a boy group! Wouldn't It Be Nice is obvi
Joni Mitchell
5/5
Joni has such a beautiful voice, wow. While I'm not sold on every song, I'm giving it a 5 because I anticipate myself loving this album with more listens.
The Byrds
4/5
I liked this, and I think I'd listen again.
Deep Purple
4/5
The album had been playing for awhile and so I looked to see how far I got. I only was four songs in. Off to a rough start.
After listening to the entire album, it makes me want to check out their other music. Glad to hear that there isn't as much cheering between tracks as other live albums.
Love
4/5
I enjoyed parts of this, I think with more listens it could grow on me more.
Public Enemy
2/5
I had a hard time really getting into this album. While I respect and agree the message is important it's just not my style.
Dusty Springfield
4/5
This is a nice album. Loved the instrumentals so much!
Isaac Hayes
4/5
I found this quite enjoyable! I didn't expect it to be primarily an instrumental album, but it was interesting enough to keep me awake on the bus ride home.
Shivkumar Sharma
3/5
I felt really relaxed while listening to this and I agree it's really beautiful (way better than what the Spotify link gives you). But I don't think I'd ever go out of my way to listen to it.
Blur
5/5
From the first song I was hooked. I've never heard of Blur before but this was a standout.
Elvis Presley
2/5
My first Elvis album! Honestly? I don't get the hype around his "Elvis twang". It just sounds so mumbled and off putting. Another thing is that I was surprised he didn't have the twang for every song. He sounds completely different without it! The songs just aren't very good at all unfortunately.
B.B. King
4/5
I didn't expect a live album to be so interactive! With other live albums, I hated the clapping at the end of each song. But with this one the crowd feels like a part of the performance which makes it really enjoyable. Loved the music, of course but as a live album it's probably my #1 from this journey.
Shack
3/5
I wouldn't call this bad but it sounds a bit generic. Sounds very 90s early 00s, but nothing is special about it.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
My 200th album! Her voice is so impressive, she just kills every song on here. I'm not sure I'd ever go out of my way to listen to this but it's just so impressive.
SAULT
3/5
This is a nice album, I enjoyed some songs more than others. However I would likely never listen to the entire project again.
Soundgarden
4/5
This album screams autumn to me. While I enjoyed it now, I think it could easily love it more then. I don't exactly vibe with this sound in the summer but ask me again when it's cold.
The Clash
3/5
The vocals on this aren't great. I could hardly understand the lyrics half the time and that takes me out of the listening experience. The band is great though.
808 State
4/5
Listening to this in an office cubicle that was likely constructed in the 80s really transports you to 1989.
I found myself bopping my head along, especially to Cobra Bora. What a fun tune.
Hookworms
4/5
This was a pleasant surprise! In the first few seconds I was worried I was in for a long album, but it flew by in a good way. 4/5
Fishbone
2/5
The only thing I could think of while listening to this album is "this sounds so 80s". There wasn't anything special or standout about this album.
Nirvana
4/5
My first Nirvana album! This is another album where I know it will be even better in the fall. Luckily I listened to it on a very rainy day so I got an idea of how much I like it. Some songs are better than others but overall a very strong album.
Blondie
4/5
So overall this is an enjoyable album, it has some high highs and some mid songs but nothing bad. I'm unsure on it's replay value. The lead singer is fantastic but at the same time her style of singing feels a bit dated and something I would likely get bored of. If I could give half votes I would give this 3.5 but since I can't I'll round up.
Cream
4/5
This was a nice album, I would listen to it again!
Ms. Dynamite
4/5
This album gives me such a wash of nostalgia to my childhood. I've never heard it before, but this is exactly what kid-me would be bopping to in my room.
Beautiful vocals, and the instrumentals are just perfect. 4/5
Cornershop
2/5
I could not enjoy this album. Nothing about it grabbed me, the songs felt way too repetitive, the vocals aren't impressive, the instrumentals were just fine. I can't give it a 1 because it didn't assault my ears but it wasn't enjoyable.
Coldplay
5/5
This is probably my favorite album by Coldplay.
The Rolling Stones
4/5
Wonderful songs on this album. Wasn't exactly sure what to think based on the album art if I'm honest. I prefer the first half of this album, the second half is definitely a bit weaker.
FKA twigs
5/5
Wow this album is really my style.. I have never listened to FKA Twigs before but I had no idea she made such good music! I can see why this album is on the list it sounds so fresh for something released in 2014.
Boards of Canada
3/5
I didn't like the first few tracks from this album at all, they felt too weird, a bit creepy maybe? But as the album went on it wasn't as bad, just an okay album for me though.
LCD Soundsystem
4/5
I like this album, but I'm not sure I love it. It has some really great songs but some songs didn't jive with me. I'm giving it a 4 because I think with more listens I would enjoy it more.
Elvis Costello
3/5
My first of many Elvis Costello albums! I liked this, it was fun to listen to. But I'm not sure I'd ever go out of my way to listen to it.
Queen
4/5
Not much to say, a pretty solid album. I love Freddie Mercury's voice.
Marilyn Manson
2/5
The first couple songs weren't bad, but then it slowly took on a more Metal sound. Weird lyrics for sure, I can see why this album was \"shocking\". The screamo singing isn't really my thing either. Also this album is too long lol
Oh and I HATE the cover.
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
3/5
Honestly? I'm confused why this album is on the list. What is special about it? It sounds very standard. That doesn't mean I hate it, I think it could be great after a few more listens. After one playthrough I would say it's just okay.
Turbonegro
4/5
Loved this album! It's a fun rock album, very upbeat. Not the biggest fan of all the lyrics, but otherwise I think it was solid.
Talking Heads
3/5
I think this is my third album by the Talking Heads and I've accepted the just aren't for me. The band is great but the vocals just don't do enough for me.
Al Green
3/5
A nice album, but nothing too special to me.
Leonard Cohen
2/5
Yikes I did not enjoy this at all.
Elis Regina
4/5
Wow what a beautiful album. The instruments captured my attention immediately, and they're pretty consistently great throughout. Her vocals are so beautiful too, they work really well together.
David Bowie
3/5
This wasn't very interesting to me. A lot of the melodies were repetitive which is fine, but it was noticeable in a bad way if that makes sense.
Pearl Jam
4/5
Loved this a lot!
Alanis Morissette
5/5
This album is all the hits! I didn't realize every single song of hers I know is from this album. But even songs I didn't know were amazing. Definitely want to listen to this again, probably a lot. I also noticed how some of my favorite artists were likely influenced by her.
Morrissey
4/5
I really loved this, definitely my style. The band is great , the vocals just hit right. I can imagine myself listening to this on a walk when it's cooler outside.
The Sugarcubes
3/5
The vocals are very impressive on this album, but otherwise it's just okay.
Sebadoh
2/5
This album is a mixed bag. Some songs are great, but some are just horrendous. Unfortunately it leans more in the bad category...
Michael Jackson
4/5
Probably his best album. The last one I had felt very boring outside the singles, but here even the other tracks were interesting to listen to.
Beastie Boys
2/5
I've heard of the Beastie Boys but I thought they were a rock group. So I was very surprised when this album started playing! The album started alright but the second half wasn't very good.
Antony and the Johnsons
4/5
This is such a beautiful album. The vibrato is a bit excessive at times but I can overlook that because it's so good. The lyrics are heartbreaking and the minimalist production really drives them home.
William Orbit
3/5
Nothing special about this to me. I did feel like I was in a 90s movie walking down the street to some songs.
Röyksopp
2/5
It's kind of funny that the only song I enjoyed on this album is the one with lyrics, "Poor Leno".
Neil Young
3/5
Not a bad album but there wasn't much that kept my interest.
Sigur Rós
4/5
I wasn't sold on this album at first. About halfway through I went to look at other reviews and saw someone mentioned winter, and that's when this album clicked for me. The middle of August is not when this album is done justice, but I could see myself falling in love with it in January. Keeping that in mind I'm giving it 4 stars.
The Mothers Of Invention
1/5
A bit too silly for me.
Sister Sledge
4/5
Nice album, beautiful vocals. Maybe a bit repetitive at times but maybe that's part of the charm.
Faith No More
4/5
This was a really interesting album! I'm honestly surprised it came out in the 80s it sounds really fresh still. If you told me a 2010s rock band released this I'd believe you.
Johnny Cash
3/5
This wasn't bad but it isn't really my style. I liked some of the lyrics but the melodies were a bit bare.
The Rolling Stones
4/5
Before listening, the only thing I knew about this album was the fun sleeve with a working zipper. After listening I think this album is pretty fun. It's not the same style of song all the way through which keeps it fresh. I'm rounding up from 3.5 because I'm not sold on the vocals.
Herbie Hancock
4/5
Listening to this instantly made my walk to the bus stop more fun.
Ice Cube
2/5
Not my favorite genre and while the beats were fine the lyrics were a bit gross lol
Robert Wyatt
2/5
This album was really disappointing. I thought it would sound different based on the cover and it's just not good.
Bob Dylan
2/5
Honestly I had trouble focusing on the lyrics or melodies because I was so distracted by Bob Dylan's weird vocal style. The twang at the end of his lines is probably an acquired taste and maybe if I force myself to hear him sing like this over and over I could tolerate it.
Simon & Garfunkel
5/5
This is a really great album. While some of the up beat songs do feel a bit dated, I really connected with the more acoustic songs.
New Order
3/5
This was just alright. I wasn't a fan of the vocalist but everything else was nice.
The Everly Brothers
3/5
Not a bad album overall but at the same time there isn't very much that's special about it.
Suicide
1/5
There's something lacking in this that's making it less enjoyable. It's too minimalist for my taste. The echoey talk-singing is not my thing either, with such short lines it's too jarring.
I was going to give this a 2 but Frankie Teardrop was agonizing to listen to.
Air
3/5
The instrumentals on this album are really fun. I actually wasn't as big of a fan of the tracks with vocals.
R.E.M.
4/5
I liked this but I think I need more time with it to decide if I love it.
Solange
3/5
This isn't really my style. It's not bad but nothing really kept me interested.
This album had a few standout tracks such as Stay With Me but otherwise I didn't feel much of a connection to it. Maybe with more listens I would grow to enjoy it more.
Faust
2/5
While this was an interesting listen this is something that's not my favorite project. Parts were okay but Just a Second (or Deuxieme Tableaux, the end of this track) for example really sucked.
Led Zeppelin
2/5
Probably my least favorite Led Zeppelin album so far. Just wasn't a fan of most of it. There were a couple good songs like The Rover but overall the album felt too long.
David Bowie
3/5
Not really a fan of this. A couple nice songs, everything else kind of blurred together.
Paul Simon
4/5
I didn't expect to love this as much as I did. There's some beautiful songs in here. I can't wait to listen to this album even more.
Cars are Cars is definitely the weakest track.
Happy Mondays
3/5
Something about this album just didn't click for me. Maybe it's the repetition in the instrumentals? The vocals aren't my favorite either.
The Incredible String Band
2/5
This album gives big Renaissance Fair energy.
Arcade Fire
4/5
Enjoyed this, I think with more listens I would love it so I'm giving it a 4.
Eminem
2/5
So honestly this isn't my thing. A couple of the songs weren't band so I'm not giving it a 1, but I hope that I don't get any more Eminem albums lol
Devendra Banhart
5/5
I live for this kind of music.
Tom Waits
2/5
I just don't get Tom Waits. Who is his music for? Why does he have multiple albums on this list? Does anyone actually think this is good? Rainbirds is the only reason this doesn't get a 1.
Jungle Brothers
4/5
Loved this! The beats were fun, and I think this is my favorite era of hip hop.
Stevie Wonder
4/5
This was a great album. I enjoyed the entire first disc, but the second half is where it lost me a bit. I think if it was trimmed down I would enjoy this album a lot more.
Cocteau Twins
4/5
I really liked this. The vocals are beautiful and I found the general sound is something I already listen to quite frequently. My only gripe is I couldn't understand the lyrics very much but from a quick look at their Spotify description that might have been intentional?
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
I don't really like the way he sings.
Scott Walker
4/5
This was an immediate love for me. I love how grand his voice feels. Paired with the lush instrumentals it's just beautiful. But the weird lyrics prevent this from being a perfect five stars.
Echo And The Bunnymen
4/5
I liked this and I think I could add it to my playlists with no issue. I don't know what is special about this though considering there's many similar albums.
Dolly Parton
4/5
This was a nice album. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to listen to it ever but I enjoyed listening to it while doing chores.
Sam Cooke
4/5
Another great live album!
Van Morrison
3/5
This is nice, and after reading how they did no adjustments in post I respect it more. But it isn't the kind of music I want to listen to live.
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
This is way better than the last Jimi Hendrix album I got. So fun to listen to! I definitely want to revisit it.
Laibach
3/5
This was definitely an interesting one. I really dislike the vocals, but the instrumentals were interesting. I would never listen to this again though!
Sly & The Family Stone
2/5
This wasn't my favorite. Maybe one or two nice songs but nothing special to me.
Beck
4/5
A very interesting album. I enjoyed most of it, the mix of rap and vocal tracks was a nice contrast.
Kraftwerk
4/5
Wow! I didn't expect to me so mesmerized by this but something about it just really hit the mark for me.
Erykah Badu
3/5
The jazz influences, especially on Orange Moon were spectacular. However for many of the songs I found myself feeling they were too long. I think some songs could have been shortened and that would make this a tighter, better album in my opinion
Pavement
4/5
I liked this a lot. It felt like a lot of future bands I like could have been influenced by this sound.
The Doors
4/5
I liked this! It still uses the keyboard I'm a fan of from their self titled album. Need to listen again fully uninterrupted.
Blur
5/5
Wow! Just so good.
Sparks
4/5
This was a really interesting, but in a good way. I think a couple songs weren't my favorite so I'd need to relisten. But overall I enjoyed this album!
Jack White
3/5
The beginning of this album does not fit with the rest of it. I was turned off by the first few songs but by the mid-way point I started to enjoy it a lot more.
Alice Cooper
3/5
This album was fine. I liked some of the songs but I don't think I'd ever listen again.
John Lennon
4/5
A nice album. Some songs aren't my favorite but overall I think I enjoyed it.
Johnny Cash
3/5
I think the talking between songs is the highlight of this live album. I don't know anything about Johnny Cash but that gives me a peek into his personality as a performer. Also what an interesting place for an album recording! Unfortunately the music was just alright, so this gets a 3.
The The
4/5
I liked this, but I think I need to listen in a different season to really vibe with it. Rating it with that in mind.
Venom
3/5
Honestly this isn't as bad as I was dreading it to be. I can't say I'd recommend listening to it when you have a headache, but other than that it's fine.
Talk Talk
4/5
I really enjoyed this. It felt like the soundtrack to a 90s kids safari show.
The Smiths
4/5
As someone who is only familiar with their hits I liked this.
Big Brother & The Holding Company
3/5
At first I thought "who on earth is singing?" so I went to look up the album. I knew I had heard of Janis Joplin before but I didn't know anything other than her name (and a select number of songs of hers they still play on the radio). I think this album is good but would be more impactful to hear live.
Leonard Cohen
2/5
I'm so tired of Leonard Cohen.
When I listen to music the vocalist is probably the most important part for me. If I don't like their voice, I can't enjoy the music. Enter this monotone man who talks more than he sings. The beauty of his lyrics don't matter if the delivery is so incredibly dull.
Spiritualized
4/5
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Based on the album art I was expecting some long electronic slog (no offense) but it wasn't that at all! I think next time I'd like to listen to this in one sitting to make sure I actually like it.
Mike Oldfield
2/5
Damn. I was really vibing with this until the vocals in part ll...
David Bowie
3/5
This was nice, but not something I'd probably go out of my way to listen to.
Deep Purple
5/5
Someone must have laced these guitar solos with something because I am obsessed.
Billy Bragg
3/5
I couldn't get myself to care too much about this.
R.E.M.
4/5
I like this but I think it's something that would require multiple listens. No songs really stood out but the overall vibe was nice.
Goldie
2/5
This was just okay.
Bob Dylan
3/5
Classic Bob Dylan sound. If it wasn't for his voice this would rank higher.
Michael Jackson
3/5
This album wasn't bad, but besides the hits I couldn't keep myself very interested.
Mekons
2/5
Nothing about this kept my interest unfortunately.
Blue Cheer
3/5
I liked this but something about the sound was holding me back from really enjoying it. I think I'd enjoy a remastered version more.
Jerry Lee Lewis
2/5
Not a very exciting live album.
U2
3/5
After listening to my first ever U2 albumz War over a year ago through this challenge I had high hopes for this. However I feel like it doesn't live up to the quality of War. That's not to say it's bad, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it more with more listens. Overall I am a bit disappointed because everything I loved about War is missing here. I guess because it is a different style that is to be expected.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
4/5
Probably my favorite Elvis Costello record so far!
Haircut 100
3/5
This was fun, but I'm not sure I'd ever listen again.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
4/5
Liked this a lot! I could see myself listening again which gets it a 4.
Hole
5/5
This was such a fun album! Love the angst, probably would have been obsessed as a teenager.
Joan Armatrading
4/5
This is a strong 4. It might even be a 5 but I'm not sure about some songs. Her voice is so pretty and I love the instrumentals. Just wow!
Stevie Wonder
3/5
Some of the ballads are absolutely beautiful but they're surrounded by mediocre, boring songs.
Richard Hawley
5/5
This album made me feel things, man. His voice sounded like a warm hug on a rainy day.
Aerosmith
4/5
I liked this, solid rock album. No song stood out a lot though so I'm not sure if I'd listen again.
Robert Wyatt
3/5
This was an interesting album. I enjoyed his vocals and some of the instrumentation but other parts were a bit too weird for me to get into.
Fela Kuti
4/5
Really liked this. Great focus music.
Funkadelic
2/5
This started fine but then the fart noises began....
OutKast
2/5
This isn't really my thing, it didn't grab my attention.
Donovan
4/5
I enjoyed the Renaissance vibes some of the tracks had on this! His vocals don't grab me like some others do but I would definitely listen again.
The Who
5/5
Really impressive album, I loved listening to this.
The Temptations
3/5
Nice album, enjoyed the beats. Not sure I'd listen again.
Lauryn Hill
4/5
I liked this album and even though I personally wouldn't listen to it I can see the charm.
Adam & The Ants
2/5
I don't know what exactly I don't like, I think his voice isn't my favorite and the lyrics were odd. Melodies could've been better. It felt very difficult to get through this with all the chanting and repetitive lyrics.
Billy Bragg
4/5
Really enjoyed this! This entire experience has taught me that if an album is folk rock I have a high chance of enjoying it.
Roxy Music
4/5
I liked this a lot. Writing this a day later though I can't remember any standout moments so I'd have to listen to it again.
Fela Kuti
4/5
I really enjoyed this. Some songs felt slightly long for me but otherwise it was a good time.
Sex Pistols
3/5
This wasn't bad at all but I'm not sure I'd catch myself ever listening to it again.
Pantera
2/5
Too much screaming for me
Solomon Burke
4/5
I liked this! Easy listening, relaxing vibe.
Red Snapper
3/5
This wasn't bad necessarily but it was awkward listening to The Rough and The Quick in the car with my parents....
The Police
3/5
This was a nice album but I wasn't a big fan of the vocals on a lot of the songs.
ZZ Top
4/5
I enjoyed this and would like to listen again at some point!
Lou Reed
2/5
There wasn't much that I liked about this. The vocals are weak, the guitars were fine but that couldn't save this.
The Jam
4/5
This was good, I think I'd listen to it again.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
A bit disappointed to read other reviews and see it's a cover album because I really enjoyed it! Taking off 1 star because of that.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
5/5
Loved this! Another amazing jazz album
Fleet Foxes
5/5
What a beautiful album. I've never listened to Fleet Foxes before but now I want to check out all their music!
Frank Ocean
4/5
If I had discovered this album in 2018 I would have been obsessed. Currently it's not my style anymore, but I'm going to rate it high with that in mind!
Billy Joel
4/5
I really enjoyed the vocal performance on this album.
Supertramp
4/5
Surprisingly I really enjoyed this. This album had the right combination of good vocals and fun rhythms to keep me entertained.
Metallica
3/5
I didn't enjoy this one as much as their titled album. Songs felt a bit too long and I kept looking to see how much I had left.
James Brown
4/5
A nice live album, but surprisingly a bit too short.
The xx
3/5
Unfortunately the voices are a bit boring to me :(
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
4/5
I'm a fan of this sound, so I really enjoyed this album!
Nirvana
4/5
I really liked this but I think I'd need more listens to determine if it's 5 stars.
T. Rex
3/5
This was fine but nothing about it was very captivating to me.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
Maybe it was the atmosphere but listening to this album while walking through heavy snowfall wasn't the vibe.
Peter Gabriel
3/5
When old men say that music was better in the 80s this is what I imagine.
MC Solaar
3/5
I enjoyed this but likely would never listen again.
Ride
4/5
Listening to this album made me imagine running on a beach in California.
The Smiths
3/5
This wasn't as amazing as I was hoping. Maybe it would grow on me?
Beck
4/5
"Who are you?"
"I'm the wizard of rhythm"
"Why did you come here?"
"I came here to tell you about the rhythms of the universe"
I didn't expect this album to be so good. It isn't my usual style but I could see it really growing on me over time. I'm giving it a 4 though because some of the tracks aren't as good as others.
David Crosby
4/5
This is a strong album but I'm not sure it moved me enough to give it 5 stars.
Meat Loaf
4/5
I sent the first track of this album to my friends who told me it's actually a musical! After finishing the album that makes so much sense.
Ryan Adams
3/5
I think this album is a bit too country for me.
Ella Fitzgerald
5/5
Wow a three hour album. Before starting that felt intimidating but I found this album was a great escape for me during a rough day. I can't say I'd ever go out of my way to listen to this in its entirety again but I will still give it 5 stars.
Stevie Wonder
3/5
I'm just not the biggest fan of his music. Something about his voice which impressive doesn't work for me.
The Specials
2/5
This one was a bit weird to me. In some songs the mixing felt off, and other songs were way too repetitive.
Eels
2/5
I was expecting Shrek bangers but this fell flat.
The Darkness
4/5
I didn't hate this so I want to give it a 4. I don't think I'd listen to it much but I had a fun time listening.
Bill Evans Trio
4/5
Love jazz loved this album!
Jimmy Smith
5/5
Loved this. I think it would be wonderful added to my jazz music rotation.
Madonna
3/5
I thought I would like this more but it was just okay :(
Everything But The Girl
3/5
I don't particularly love the vocal tones here which is the most important factor in music for me...
Bonnie "Prince" Billy
4/5
I had just gotten bad news before listening to this, so this album felt very therapeutic.
DJ Shadow
3/5
This wasn't a bad album but it's not my style.
Joni Mitchell
5/5
A really nice album. Very simple and calming to listen to.
Korn
2/5
Didn't enjoy listening to this. I kept checking to see how many songs I had left and it felt like the list never shrunk.
Billie Holiday
3/5
Her voice has this sandy quality that I don't particularly love. Not to say she's a bad singer but the tone isn't for me.
The La's
3/5
There She Goes is so good but the rest of the album is nothing like it?? Disappointing.
Green Day
4/5
I really liked this but I don't think it's their best album.
Muddy Waters
4/5
This was a very well done album.
Manic Street Preachers
4/5
I think this has some really strong tracks so I definitely will listen again. But other songs fell flat.
Bob Dylan
4/5
This is my first post "A Complete Unknown" Bob Dylan album and maybe it's Timothee Chalmet's impact but I liked this a lot more than the previous ones.
Sleater-Kinney
2/5
The vocals on this are absolutely grating.
Cyndi Lauper
2/5
Her vocals are my taste so this was hard to get through.
The Cure
4/5
I liked this album, I just think this isn't the time of year I'd really enjoy listening to it.
Bad Brains
4/5
This was a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed it a lot.
Slayer
3/5
I guess this is fine but I was absolutely not in the mood for some heavy metal today.
Aerosmith
3/5
Honestly I forgot to rank this even though I listened to it days ago. I liked it but I don't remember LOVING it. Lyrics a bit too gross sometimes.
Dr. Dre
2/5
Just not really my style, but on top of that I disliked the skit portions and the entire album felt way too long.
Portishead
3/5
This album started strong and ended strong, but in the middle I couldn't help but feel everything felt very same-y.
Bob Dylan
4/5
I liked this. Not sure I'd listen to it very much on its own but I wouldn't turn a song off during shuffle.
Everything But The Girl
3/5
Growing up I always wondered what music my dad was listening to when it wasn't classic rock. This album is probably one of the ones he listened to. Unfortunately it's just okay to me and makes me think of late 90s early 00s tv shows.
Cowboy Junkies
4/5
I'm not usually a big fan of country music, but I loved the vocals here. The album also doesn't have TOO MUCH of that annoying country twang in the instruments and vocals.
Jurassic 5
3/5
This wasn't that bad but it's not something I'd ever listen to again.
The White Stripes
4/5
This was pretty good, I think it would require a few more listens to determine if I'd add it into my rotation.
Miriam Makeba
4/5
Beautiful vocals, a nice album. I don't think I'd ever listen to it again but it was a relaxing 35-ish minutes.
Soft Cell
4/5
The vocals on this were mesmerizing. Even with the obviously 80s production which usually isn't my favorite I enjoyed almost every song. Sex Dwarf was kinda wild tho
Scritti Politti
2/5
This was really boring :( felt very the same throughout, all very stale 80s synth sounds..
Simon & Garfunkel
5/5
I really enjoyed this album. So grateful for the generator for introducing me to Simon & Garfunkel!
Iron Maiden
4/5
This was definitely a better album than the last Iron Maiden one I got. I can't imagine I'd listen to it very often but I enjoyed it enough to give it a 4.

3/5
This was fine, the instrumentals were beautiful but I can't imagine I'd ever listen to it again.

Great listen, I definitely want to listen to this again.
Stan Getz
5/5
I've never listened to a full Bossa Nova album before but this was amazing as expected.
The Band
3/5
Just okay, nothing really special.
Duke Ellington
3/5
So I didn't realize the original version was only FIVE tracks and listened to almost the entire complete version. I don't regret hearing the entire Newport set, and so that's where I ended my listen and that's the version I will be rating.
The MC sections are not necessary and ruined my enjoyment. I get it's meant to make you feel like you're there, but it's not for me.
Sarah Vaughan
3/5
Her vocals are great, but this was just okay to me.
Todd Rundgren
3/5
Overall this was pretty interesting, I'm not sure I was a big enough fan to ever listen to it again though.

I found this album to be very boring.
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
3/5
This was a good album to contemplate my future to, but not something I'd listen to again.

Tortoise
3/5
It felt like I was listening to a bland video game soundtrack.
PJ Harvey
5/5
I did not expect to love this so much! What a banger

4/5
Dare I say my favorite Bowie album so far? I enjoyed a lot of the atmospheric instrumental moments.
Donald Fagen
4/5
I knew this was Steely Dan adjacent immediately which is great for me! A really fun album, definitely want to listen to it again.
The Flaming Lips
4/5
I really liked this, the instrumental sections were fire. But it's not as good as Yoshimi.
Willie Nelson
4/5
I liked this! No country twang, some chill guitar. I'd definitely listen again.
Fatboy Slim
4/5
What an album to pump up a dreadful Monday morning with. I would never go out of my way to listen to this but I couldn't stop dancing to it.
Jazmine Sullivan
3/5
This is fine, but it's not really my style. Didn't care for the interludes much.
KISS
4/5
Not a bad album! I'd want to re-listen to it for sure.
Beatles
4/5
This was the first Beatles album I liked, and this will probably be very unpopular but may be my favorite still? I prefer how cohesive it is compared to future albums that are a bit too all over the place.
Public Enemy
3/5
This was fine, not something I'd ever listen to again.
The Allman Brothers Band
3/5
A standard live album.
Ryan Adams
3/5
This is a mixed bag. I found I liked half the songs but then the other half weren't very good in my opinion.
The Libertines
3/5
This started out good but felt very same-y by the end.
James Taylor
5/5
Who knew a man with a bad haircut and a blue shirt could pull off such a banger of an album?

Not a big fan of the first song, but the rest of the record made up for it!
Country Joe & The Fish
4/5
I liked this a lot, I definitely want to listen to it again.
Doves
5/5
This was the perfect album to listen to while zoning out on the bus. If you need to just sit in your feelings, this is the album for you!
The Monkees
4/5
I liked this it was pretty easy listening that gave me Beatles vibes. I don't think there were any tracks that made me go "Woah this is amazing" so it gets a 4.

Yes
5/5
This was really good, I was so excited to see more Yes on the list.
Stephen Stills

The Replacements
3/5
I feel like the vocals on this album felt really muted? I wish they were more prominent because I couldn't focus on much else.
Sheryl Crow
4/5
This is pretty good. For some reason I thought Sheryl Crow sang country music so I was initially dreading this album. It was so fun though! I'd probably rate it a 4.5 but I'll round down to 4 for now.
My Bloody Valentine
2/5
I had trouble focusing on this album due to how muted the vocals were. I get in certain songs it's more moaning than words, but I'd rather have no lyrics than impossible to hear lyrics.
Richard Thompson
3/5
A bit too much renaissance fair energy for me.
The Chemical Brothers
3/5
While listening to this I was walking to the gym and it gave me big 90s runway energy.
Miles Davis
4/5
A good album, but compared to the other Miles Davis album I got I didn't like it as much. Maybe a bit too chaotic for me, not as smooth of a listen.
Alexander 'Skip' Spence
3/5
There wasn't anything very standout about this album. A bit too much country and some just ok vocals.
The Associates
3/5
Very 80s.
A Tribe Called Quest
3/5
Such fun rhythm and beats, I think ATCQ is my favorite Hip Hop group? Before starting this challenge if you told me I'd like any hip hop groups I'd laugh.
10cc
5/5
I enjoyed this a lot!
Afrika Bambaataa
4/5
This was really fun, very funky. Not sure I'd listen often so it gets a 4.
The Black Keys
4/5
I'm surprised I liked this as much as I do. It's an easy listen with good vocals and some nice guitar. Between a 3.5 and a 4 I think I'll give it a 4. I'm feeling generous today!
Goldfrapp
2/5
This style was okay with the first couple of songs but then the weird vocal manipulations and sameness took me out of it.

5/5
Super fun, never heard any of the tracks besides the title. I had a great time working out to this.
Abdullah Ibrahim
4/5
Solid album, not much else to say.

Orange Juice
2/5
Vocals aren't really my favorite. Some of the songs just didn't vibe with me.
Pink Floyd
4/5
I listened to this once years ago and wasn't impressed. This is the album that everyone claims is immaculate?
Years later and now 450 albums into this challenge, I see it differently. I do like it, I think it's well done and flows really nicely.
TV On The Radio
3/5
This wasn't terrible but something about it just didn't click with me.
Massive Attack
2/5
Another weird album from the 90s.
Holger Czukay
2/5
Not very enjoyable to me.
Sonic Youth
3/5
This was fine but the monotone vocals killed some songs.
The Notorious B.I.G.
2/5
Kind of tired of albums with interludes of women having sex.
The Beach Boys
4/5
A nice album. I think with TBB I need to listen multiple times to get the vibe, because on the first listen I just hear the very cheesey lyrics of the time lol
Bobby Womack
3/5
This was a fine album.
Q-Tip
3/5
Honestly pretty good. I wouldn't listen again, but I enjoyed my time with this album.
Janelle Monáe

3/5
Kinda mid

4/5
I liked this and I'm surprised it's from the 70s! Sounds very similar to some music from the 2010s I like.

This had some good guitar moments but otherwise it's the vocals that sucked for me.

The album introduction track gave big YouTuber energy. Other than that it was just okay.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
3/5
Not a fan of this kind of 80s production specifically.
Beatles
4/5
Not fully cohesive and I think that's my issue with Beatles albums. There's a great album in here, but you'd have to make some cuts to get something that really sings.
Fugees
2/5
Not really my style
Dead Kennedys
3/5
There were some nice guitar moments in this album.
Nico
4/5
Yess I love a couple songs from this record already (the first two) so I was pumped to see this album included! I think it's a 4 star album, BUT if the weather is chilly and I'm feeling a bit melancholic this is a 5/5 album.
The Chemical Brothers
3/5
Good focus music.
Sonic Youth
2/5
I'm a bit disappointed. Some of the guitar moments on this sucked, and I found that I continuously checked to see how many songs were left.
Adele
3/5
Obviously her albums are meant to showcase her vocals more than anything else, so in that regard it's a good album. It is pretty bland though outside of the singles.
The Stone Roses
4/5
This was a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed my time listening to this album.
Nine Inch Nails
3/5
A decent album for when you're in an angsty mood.

I'm going to take a risk and rate this a 4. I think I'd enjoy this more if I wasn't in such a bad mood.
My Bloody Valentine
4/5
For the first couple of songs I didn't get it. Then I realized this album isn't something I'd ever go out of my way to listen to intentionally. It is however an album that would make great background noise.
Lou Reed
4/5
So the singing might not be more than talk singing but that didn't stop me from enjoying it!
Kanye West
3/5
This had some good instrumentals and I can see why people liked Kanye a lot before. There was some catchy moments but again I'd never listen to this willingly.
Black Sabbath
4/5
A solid album
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
3/5
I will give Nick Cave one thing, his music hits different when you're sad.

Cat Stevens
5/5
So excited to finally get a Cat Stevens album! Very nice, will be adding this to my playlists.

So I wouldn't recommend listening to this when you're fighting for your life in the airport with jet lag. However I still enjoy it even though it made me thoroughly tired.
Brian Eno
3/5
This was my daily album the day after I had a flight, so I saved it for my return flight. It's definitely ambient noise, doesn't drown out the people talking around me but it did make me sleepy.
CHVRCHES
5/5
Wow this was so good! The synths hit just right and I'm obsessed with the female vocalist.
Fun Lovin' Criminals
3/5
This had some great instrumental moments but the vocals dragged it down. Wasn't a fan of the more "traditional" hip-hop style tracks

4/5
Immediately I thought very similar to The Flaming Lips, and after a quick search that's not an uncommon comparison. So of course I really enjoyed this! Some tracks were weaker than others though.

The Police
4/5

Metallica
4/5
I was dreading this when I saw how long it was but what a surprise it turned out to be! Adding the symphony orchestra to this recording elevates it to another level.

I liked the instrumentals in this album but I wish it was more singing than rapping.
Pavement
4/5
Pleasant surprise! This album was great, I definitely want to relisten.
