Julian Cope

Everything about this was bad. It is 154 minutes of bad songs with very little listens, the cover art is weird and semi-offensive, like most of the music on here and lastly it is another British artist. It is hard to Cope with this Nope

Joni Mitchell
3/5

That put the fun in funky!
Paul Weller
3/5
Another surprise.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
4/5
As someone who doesn't like jazz all that much this is the "main stream" album that everyone can tolerate. Not a lot of improve and all over the place in the most random ways. Structured, Melodic, and fun,
The Lemonheads
4/5
Another Pleasant Surprise ...
Beatles

Gil Scott-Heron
1/5
The album wasn't even on Spotify, but I found the title track and it ended a long streak of good albums ...
Pretenders
3/5
I won't walk 500 miles for this album, but maybe a 5k would do?
Thelonious Monk
2/5
Thelonious Monk is one of the legends of Jazz music. I remember playing his music in Jazz band in High School. I hated Jazz Band in High School.
The White Stripes
4/5
Are the siblings? Are they Exes? Either way, they make great music!
Dexys Midnight Runners
3/5
Come On Eileen is one of the greatest songs of all time, due to that the album gets a 3. Without that song ... it's fun, but nothing you can't get at any pub
Sade

Good and Chill
The Smiths

It's like listening to the same song over and over again for an hour.
Rush
4/5
If Blondie and Heart had a baby ... it would be a rush

1/5
Thankfully it was only 30 minutes!
Ice Cube
1/5
Nope, absolutely not. This album personifies not only everything wrong with a genre, but with the culture that supports it.
Stan Getz
3/5
I didn't understand a word of it, but I felt like I was at some cafe in a clever but quirky movie and possibly wearing a beret.
Iggy Pop
3/5
"Lust for Life" was used in every car commercial in the early 2000s, giving it familiarity. The album was fun, upbeat, and just okay.
Green Day
4/5
A great album. I wore this thing out in High School
Stereo MC's
2/5
I remember them from 1992 ... Haven't thought about them since

1/5
Disgusting, Awful, No, No, No. Can I give negative stars?
Talk Talk
2/5
It was a little boring
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
1/5
Islamic Devotional Songs? I cannot believe this idol worshiping, pagan farce is on this list. If I had to torture someone for exactly 1.5 hours I would simply play them this album.
fIREHOSE
3/5
It starts off strong and then losing steam in the middle. It has a strong feel of your friend's band from high school. You can't really find anything wrong with it, but you can't really find anything to praise either.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
5/5
So many great songs on one album. This is CCR's best record. I could play it over and over.
Jurassic 5
2/5
Quintessential 90s Hip Hop ... just made in the 2000s
Robert Wyatt
3/5
Heavy use of Synth and Trumpets. Definitely different, but I like different

First of all, It's Joni Mitchell. But, then it's also Joni Mitchell

2/5
Sounds like someone doing karaoke to The Doors.
The Band
4/5
Fun and a little bit gritty of a sound. Good Southern Rock feel. Heck Yeah!
Electric Light Orchestra
4/5
It is both electric and boogey oogey oogey!
Steely Dan
4/5
This is rock music but it has elements of rhythm & blues, jazz, soul, Latin, and a little funk sprinkled in as well. I just might be a Steely Fan!
Stan Getz
2/5
I was in a bit of a mood and I didn't hate this.
Bob Dylan
3/5
I just don't get the love for Bob Dylan. The dude can't sing ... he just talks thymically. With that said, this is a classic album and there are well written songs on it and for that he gets a 3
Booker T. & The MG's
3/5
Not sure if I was just in the right mood, but I actually enjoyed this album
Stevie Wonder
3/5
I mean ... C'mon, it's Stevie Wonder! None of my "favorites" were on this album, so it gets a 3, but it was still enjoyable.
Buck Owens
5/5
This what my grandparents house sounded like back in the early 80s. There are times I miss this kind of country, simple, fun, and catchy. Buck Owens in a legend and this album gets all the stars
Jeff Beck
3/5
Good Guitar, Rod Stewart singing and yet pretty bland overall. It gets a solid Meh
Tangerine Dream
1/5
Today's album is weird. It's like the music in the que while in line for some educational ride at EPCOT
Boston
3/5
Classic album that outside of "more than a feeling" is a bit meh
Thin Lizzy
3/5
Spotify only had 4 of the tracks off this album available, but "but the boys are back in town" and "Still in love with you" classics. Can't give it more than 3 with most of the album missing though.
Cocteau Twins
2/5
A Chill Album. Overall okay.
Various Artists
5/5
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!
Frank Zappa
2/5
You know those scenes in the 70s and 80s Disney movies like Robinhood where they are just running around or fighting a slapstick type battle ... This is probably the band that was playing the back ground music. Lucky for them, I love Disney's Robinhood.
The Smashing Pumpkins
4/5
This massive album is solid. It is so diverse the bigness isn't a detriment.
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
This massive album is solid. It is so diverse the bigness isn't a detriment.
Slipknot
1/5
If you’re 14 and hate your stepdad, this may be the album for you. The lyrics are meant for angsty teenagers. But I'm neither angsty or a teenager. I will never been listening to this again.
Robert Wyatt
1/5
Apparently the dude was in a bad accident right before he made the album and the album is a champion of overcoming struggle and the first platinum album from a paraplegic. But it sounds like an album that was made by a paraplegic. "Sea Song" feels like he was recreating the accident that paralyzed him.
Beck
2/5
It was okay ...
Pink Floyd
4/5
I am so sorry ... I know this is one of the most iconic albums of all time and I was really excited to listen to it, honest, and I now I am supposed to excitedly give it 5 stars ... But ... best I can do is a 4
Johnny Cash
5/5
Wow! I am literally sitting the office trying not to cry. This album gets 10 stars ...
ABBA
5/5
It's Abba along with Ikea, and the Chef make up some of our favorite friends from Sweden. So to them I So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me!
Dagmar Krause
3/5
If Maria Von Trapp was unable to escape to Switzerland and forced to tour with the family and then gave all the kids a different instrument and immediately set out to record an album, this is probably what it would sound like. With that said, it is an important album and East Germany must have really sucked.
2Pac
1/5
I couldn't even get through the first song. Tupac was a horrible human being and this album reflects that.
Talking Heads
2/5
How are there two of their albums on this list?
Crosby, Stills & Nash
4/5
Classic album that we all grew up listening to. This album is a solid seven. But don't you ever ask why, if I told you, you would cry. So just look at the score and smile ...
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
2/5
Everything a person hates in one album, a super slow build and it takes 20 seconds to hear anything and I check the volume and output like 5 times before it finally gets going. Then you have a 20 minute song that sounds like you are having a panic attack during the Mainstreet Electrical Parade at the Magic Kingdom. Lastly, an intentional omittance of the oxford comma.
The only think I like about this Album is the super cool cover art. A tank Armadillo? Yes please! Bonus Star as a "Tank you" for that.
Stereolab
1/5
It started off pretty bad and then they started singing in French ...
Brian Eno
2/5
It's a 2 for me not horrible, I listened to the whole thing while focusing on a work project and it made for decent background noise, but it wasn't enough to actually capture my attention.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
A Fun album!
Air
2/5
This is the score to a movie. Not the Soundtrack, but the score. As a band nerd I appreciate scores and the musicality of creating an experience with the right music, but this isn't exactly a John Williams masterpiece and instead had an entire song of alternating quarter notes. Still not the worst thing I've heard on this list though.
Judas Priest
3/5
This is a high 3 (perhaps 3 and half) for me. It wasn't boring, it came out the gate swinging, but it also didn't have that song that got you fired up.
The Who
4/5
This Rock Opera album is a classic. It is a heartbreaking story of Tommy growing up to be a community leader. The story telling, music, and overall package is genius and entertaining.
Steely Dan
4/5
Another fun album with a good variety of style and music. I am still a Steely Fan!
The Soft Boys
2/5
It's been a long time since I haven't been able to make it through an album, but I am struggling on this one. For some weird reason ... forcing my self to listen to it is actually making me mad. It really does sound like an album someone wrote over a period of time as they slowly descended into madness.
Johnny Cash
5/5
This is one of the greatest live albums off all time.
Do you hear a train a comin'? No, that is just the steady tones of Johnny Cash. This album is a piece of America herself!
Joy Division
2/5
This is named appropriately because any kind of pleasure from this album is completely unknown. Seriously, why are there so many British Albums on this list? We haven't cared about anything they do since 1776!
Neil Young
3/5
I really wanted to not like this album because of Neil young's opinions of the South, but I do like it. So it gets a one star deduction for Antebellum
The The
2/5
What the heck just happened? This album is infected with cringey music. Seriously, why are there so many British Albums on this list? We haven't cared about anything they do since 1776!
Neil Young
4/5
I really don't want to like Neil and I docked his last album one star for being a jerk, but fair is fair and this deserves 4 stars.
Ravi Shankar
1/5
No Thank you!
Blur
2/5
I swear, somebody who was in an early nineties British Rock Band must have been on the selection committee!! It's not bad, but it all sounds the same!
Youssou N'Dour
2/5
It's all in Senegalese ... I have no clue what is going on ... But it sounds like Animal Kingdom.
Derek & The Dominos
2/5
We just cannot seem to get over this English Rock bands can we? Lyla is obviously a great song, but it seems weird to have a compilation album on this list. Still .. I was able to get through the whole thing and it was mildly enjoyable.
Rocket From The Crypt
3/5
It was enjoyable. Some good ole American Punk rock!
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
4/5
Love this. But, man I don't like Neil Young
Paul Simon
4/5
I can call this album great, fun, and important due to it's cross cultural significance ... and you can call me Al!
TLC
4/5
This was the album that all the white girls suburban who thought they were hood played in High School. Waterfalls is a great song and creep was playing everywhere .. outside of that it is more nostalgia than actually good. Still, when I saw the cover I was "automatic 5" and it lost a star after actually listening to the whole thing.
Fats Domino
5/5
This is such a foundational album that inspired so many great artist afterwards. It was way ahead of it's time. I found my thrill listening to this classic.
Count Basie & His Orchestra
3/5
This album was fun. It was good background music as I was trying to get stuff done at work. It is great to have an album from the Big Band Era represented on this list.
Funkadelic
3/5
In a nation divided by so many things only one thing can bring us all together … we ALL want the funk.
Big Star
3/5
There just isn't much to it.
Kate Bush
4/5
This was a fun album that had only the second Billion + played song I've seen so far on Spotify (Thanks Stranger Things), overall a fun album that I was excited to listen to.
The Who
5/5
A great album filled with absolute monster songs!
Creedence Clearwater Revival
5/5
A great album by a great band. Every song was familiar and enjoyable.
Pixies
4/5
It was much better than I thought it would be. This is why I like this project, you hear new artist and albums you never knew about.
Stevie Wonder
4/5
The great Stevie Wonder with TWO major hits on this album. I enjoyed rocking out to "Superstition", but the other tracks were not nearly up to par with it and "You are the Sunshine.". Still solid album, fun songs, great memories - just get rid of those super repetitive tracks where the girls just repeat what you say over and over.
The Stone Roses
3/5
Another band I had never heard of but overall enjoyed.
Can
2/5
I got half way through and couldn't do it anymore.
Tracy Chapman
5/5
Another Billion plays song in "Fast Car". A Great voice, great album, and I really enjoyed it.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
This was the Summer Playlist while sitting at the beach. A Classic!
Alice In Chains
4/5
I am surprised by this album, I enjoyed it and it is a poster child of the early 90s grunge movement.
Ash
2/5
It came out of the gate swinging and I was like "Finally! A good British Rock band" ... and then just like every thing else British whether empires or dental care, they just couldn't keep up with it
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
4/5
This is my third Young album (fourth if you count C, S, N, & Y). I get it, the guy makes a good album, this one is no exception, but C'mon ... that's a lot. I wonder if Neil Young is on the selection committee
LCD Soundsystem
2/5
I had a fever and for all these years I thought the cure was more cowbell. But it turns out this album proved that theory wrong. In this case it was as easy as turning off the 56 minutes of dubstep.
The Byrds
3/5
The first 7 tracks were classic Byrds sounding tracks and then it seems like they took eight miles high literally during the break and came back as a psychedelia band. Luckily, I am down for both sounds.
The 13th Floor Elevators
2/5
All my life I grew up thinking that buildings didn't have a 13th floor out of superstition, but it turns out they were just trying to avoid this album.
Calexico
5/5
This album is an experience, an adventure. It's jazz, it's mariachi, it's Spanish style guitar, and it's fantastic. I can literally see myself one a journey and each song is another stop on the itinerary. It is so different and exactly the kind of thing I hoped to find!
Minutemen
2/5
If you are getting double nickels on the dime then you are breaking even... which is probably what this band is hoping for on this album. But unfortunately this album is boring and all the songs sound the same.
50 Cent
1/5
This has the 5th Billion Play (1.7B) with "In Da Club" and "P.I.M.P" at over 800k. I understand it being her birthday and we gonna celebrate because you her pimp, but outside of that I can see why his name is 50 cent, because this album ain't worth half a buck
Tori Amos
3/5
Little Earthquakes isn't exactly world changing, but it was ground breaking at the time. Not great, but definitely enough to move the scale.
The xx
3/5
Had never heard of them and immediately wanted to not like them because they were English, but I was pleasantly surprised. Has a chill vibe to it.
The Incredible String Band
1/5
What in the Hippie Medieval Fair is goin on here? A Kazoo, a Sitar, and a Digeridoo? I don't know what is happening, I just know I don't like it!
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
This album was so far ahead of it's time and change the rock world forever. Can you imagine hearing this for the first time in a climate filled with Beatles, Monkees, and Supremes
The Rolling Stones
4/5
A fun album and a definite classic!
CHIC
3/5
Disco is not dead so long as it lives in the hearts of men!
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
2/5
Not only is it English, live.... but it also sounds like the Main Street Electrical Parade
Beatles
5/5
You can drive your car for a long time and won't find too many albums better than this in [your] life
Foo Fighters
4/5
Dave Grohl started Fighting Foo like a boss on this album all by himself
Aerosmith
4/5
Two of Aerosmiths biggest songs were on this album. It was overall fun and the sound that we know and expect.
Elton John
4/5
Tiny Dancer is an amazing song and the album overall is great ... but how can and English man ever write a song attacking the Americans for their treatment of the Indians when they conquered over half the world ... almost lost a star for that one song.
Nick Drake
3/5
Surprised by this album. It tackled a heavy subject matter (depression) in a light manner. Relaxing and enjoyable album.
Joy Division
2/5
and after a solid run we are back to the English Rock bands that all sounds exactly the same. Even the songs on the album all seem to just run together. No more British Rock! No More British Rock!
Anita Baker
4/5
Yes! A Perfect Album for a rainy day in the office. Smooth, Crip, and you can feel the emptions in the music. It might have caught me on the right day but ... yeah
Suede
2/5
I think I have reached my breaking point - I can't take it any more. If there is one more "English Alternative" Album on here that all sound like the same boring drivel ... I don't know .. But, ugh ... Why do they keep doing this to me?
Santana
3/5
Classic Santana. Great guitar player and fun album!
Dr. John
2/5
I am definitely not into this beat-nik type thing, but I get it and the influence the movement had. Just a reminder kids, drugs are bad!
Kate Bush
4/5
Maybe all those stranger things nerds were on to something…
Coldplay
4/5
We have our 6th 1 Billion plays (Sparks) and second 2 Billion plays (Yellow) by Coldplay. A formative band for us Millennials that still sets that melancholy mood when we are feeling not quite emo, but pretty darn close.
Peter Frampton
3/5
Dad Rock at it's finest. There are some amazing songs on this album and Peter is one of the most influential guitarist. Still, overall a tad boring ...
Nitin Sawhney
1/5
I was trying, I honestly was ... and then the dude in the background started chanting, that is where I draw the line!
Jungle Brothers
3/5
Only had one track on Spotify ... but that was enough! This was back when rap was fun!
Johnny Cash
5/5
There are great albums ... and then there are a few an experience. This is both!
Morrissey
2/5
Another British Album. Not only do they all sound the same but they all seem like they are forever long. Apparently Viva Hate means a defiant or ironic embrace of negativity and the emotions associated with it, particularly grief and loss. I am definitely negatively embracing the lost of 40 minutes on this album.
Crowded House
3/5
Better than expected.
Queen
4/5
Wow ... This Queen album is uhhh ... not Queen-like
You still have the tight harmonies and strong lead vocals, and it isn't bad ... it just isn't the Power Rock ballads that we all know and love
Like ... I don't feel running outside and punching somebody in the face right now
and I don't know how to process that
Lynyrd Skynyrd
5/5
It really isn't fair to all the other albums out there. Three of Skynyrd's best songs all on one album! I might ask the kids to play Freebird at my funeral! Heck yeah ...
The Byrds
4/5
When a sixties rock band makes a better "country western" album than any country band today ...
Kings of Leon
3/5
First four songs are a 5!
Rest of Album is a 3!
17 is a 1 - what the heck pedo?
That averages out to a 3
The Rolling Stones
4/5
Like everything British, the UK version leaves off the Billion play song "Paint It Black" and this is the one that the website defaulted to on Spotify ... lucky for the rating I went and found the American Release ... and that song alone, plus dropping a few of the "meh" songs upgrades this album significantly
Thundercat
3/5
"This is the moment Lion-O has been preparing me for my whole life... The ThunderCats have been our friends for as long as we can remember... They have stuck with us through good times and bad, helping make us who we are today... It's time we repaid their friendship. Let this be a day that will be sung about by our people for ages to come!"
Arcade Fire
4/5
This is a band I had never heard of before with a full string section and I am pretty sure I heard a French Horn. I feel like it is a bit of the Cranberries meets Belle and Sebastian but whatever it is ... I like it!
George Michael
4/5
"Wow! This album is really provocative ... I can't believe that little me was allowed to listen to this?!? But, Wham! It really is a fun album."
The Band
4/5
The Band that I never knew that I knew. Recognized several tracks on this album including a few from them that Spotify decided to play after. Folksy, Relaxing, and surprisingly enjoyable.
Turbonegro
3/5
The guitar riffs were fun as were the drums ... I really don't want to hurt my 90s decade rating any further ... Ugh!
Mercury Rev
3/5
One of the best uses of a saw outside of a Halloween CD I have ever heard .. with that said "Happy Ending" is super eerie. But overall it was tolerable. As previously stated, I am trying to be kind to the 90s.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
You gotta have a ton of respect for Aretha Franklin. This album is a classic.
Haircut 100
2/5
Play that funky music White Boys!!
Grateful Dead
2/5
I always thought Grateful Dead was a rock band ... This album was a little bit dead
The Temptations
4/5
When 1/3 of your album is one song, it better be a good one. Luckily it is!
R.E.M.
4/5
I am going to take a stand and say I have always like this album and the "sound" of REM.
Tim Buckley
2/5
What's with all the screaming?!? No Bueno
Lucinda Williams
4/5
I liked it. An artist I had never heard of but a combination of Sheryl Crow and Linda Ronstadt.
Metallica
5/5
Keep this away from the microwave, because this is pure metal! A masterclass in the genre. I don't know how I grew up in the 80s and had never heard this album.
a-ha
5/5
This album is a single with bonus tracks. But it is one of my favorite songs of all time ... So 5 stars!
Megadeth
4/5
What does cheese, lettuce, old legal documents, Helmut Strebl, and this album have in common? Some serious shreds!
Ramones
4/5
"Ay, oh, let's go! Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh, oh! Oy, oy, oy!" This is fun!!
James Brown
3/5
Would have loved to have seen this live. Such energy, such a cutting-edge artist, and so much future work and sound is based off of this. Sadly, I probably would have been given a really hard time and I told I don't belong there.
Talking Heads
2/5
<Sigh> Three of these things? Really?
John Prine
4/5
Pure Poetic Story Telling with a twang and a steel guitar!
MGMT
3/5
Honestly, this whole album was kinda mid. Nothing bad about it, two songs approaching a billion plays, likeable, but kinda all sounds the same.
Simple Minds
3/5
This is quintessential 80s. I find it dated, but it is supposed to be.
LTJ Bukem
1/5
It's like a three and a half hour Tom Cruse scene where he just takes off and is being chased by various things.
Leonard Cohen
2/5
Didn't love any of the songs. Did hate a few, so title is half accurate.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
Our 7th Billion Play song with "Under the Bridge". This album was hugely influential and fun.
Prefab Sprout
2/5
Probably could have convinced me to give this a three, but they are British ...
T. Rex
3/5
This album was fun!
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
Wow! This album was a journey through the everyday lives of America. Great storytelling
My Bloody Valentine
3/5
You know that kid that looks down at their feet and mumbles incoherently when they force themselves to speak to you? Now make them the singer for a really good band ...
Beatles
5/5
"Come Together" to kick it off followed by "Something" right out the gate? That alone is already a 5 right there!! But then you get so much more. I wish I could give it higher than a 5.
Kraftwerk
1/5
You know when you get stuck/lost on a video game level and the soundtrack just loops? Yeah…
This album was the equivalent of a long drive on the autobahn for someone who doesn’t like driving.
The Smiths
3/5
This sounds like a long car ride late a night falling asleep sprawled out in the back of Grandma's car in the 1980s
Peter Tosh
4/5
I love seeing some Reggae songs on this. Always fun and jammin'.
3/5
I have never heard of them and that is unfortunate because this was fun and surprisingly deep for a punk album.
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
Another great album by the boss. Not someone I ever listened to, but I see the appeal. However, four albums is a lot!
Ozomatli
2/5
I feel like this album was listed for diversity, but maybe all those English Rock bands aren't so bad afterall.

2/5
Wow, did that last comment come back to bite me super quick.
Incredible Bongo Band
4/5

The Clash
3/5
This a big album but it is just okay.
Tom Waits
1/5
What the heck is this? Tom should have waited a little longer!
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
2/5
This was a roller coaster. I hated it and almost stopped listening out the gate and then by Chicken Dog I was at a 3, then it fell back off. Half the songs sounds like someone is getting tortured back stage.
Linkin Park
4/5
I am a big fan of Emo Rock, but in the end, it doesn't really matter
ABBA

This was an enjoyable album, a nice surprise. Who knew there was so much more outside of "Brown Eyed Girl"

A classic album and a fitting tribute to Brian Wilson!
Elton John
4/5
Such an absolute classic.
Spacemen 3
2/5
I'd say they were playing more with wet stick than actual fire ...
Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
2/5
It's not horrible, I have had waaay worse .... it is just the same album over and over and over again. Different band names, same country ... No wonder they are all so dull, miserable, and have horrible humor.
Barry Adamson
1/5
Ooooh the mumbling and lines are from the movie that doesn't exist! I couldn't do it. It is the first one in a long time I couldn't finish
Simon & Garfunkel

Astrud Gilberto
4/5
I feel like I am driving down some narrow road in a European city by a river falling in love with some quirky and cute well dressed girl that I had only met a few days earlier ...
The Streets
1/5
What is worse than all British rock bands on this list? A white British guy rapping

It's the Sonic the Hedgehog video game soundtrack ... Not really ... but same vibe
X-Ray Spex
3/5
It started off great .. I was like heck yeah a female lead punk band ... Awesome ... But maybe it just went on way too long ...
Blood, Sweat & Tears
4/5
We have some very familiar songs from the 60s that are all great, but then you get all these instrumental pieces, Motown covers, and even a little soul all of which might be even more fun!
Isaac Hayes
4/5
I got pregnant just listening to this album!
The Chemical Brothers
2/5
Boom, Wicka, Wicka, Boom, Boom ... Drugs are bad!
Boards of Canada
2/5
If this music did have children they are probably the weird ones that sit by themselves in the corner with the cat ear shaped headphones
Suede
2/5
Everything about this was meh
Beatles
5/5
Father McKenzie would agree that this is a 5 star album. The album that made the Beatles the biggest band ever. Plus, Yellow Submarine is fun, stop hating on it
Public Image Ltd.
1/5
The very first song has the singer moaning the line "You are unbearable, run away" ... so I did!
Mudhoney
4/5
Every Good Boy Does Fine! and this album is another good one
FKA twigs
4/5
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It's like the music playing in that trendy store in the mall ... mixed with some Taylor Swift vibes
Pere Ubu
1/5
Imagine watching an ASMR video while your toddler was running around the house munching on things and playing with various noise making toys ...
Ian Dury
1/5
I couldn't get through the first song. This is horrible, not in a musical sense, but in content, then I saw they were British and it all made sense.
Pantera
2/5
I scream, you scream, why are we screaming?
SAULT
1/5
If the album name and cover art didn't give it away, the opening track does ...
Neu!
2/5
The first 3 tracks were relaxing ... almost zen. The next 3 erased any peaceful feelings
Harry Nilsson
4/5
Fabulous Schmabulous!
Missy Elliott
2/5
What is worse than the elicit, gansta style rap ... that filthiness being sung by woman. However Back in the Day is what salvaged this album for a 2
The Darkness
4/5
This was fun! After all the 80s Hair Bands retire or go on reunion tours, this group decided to "Land" on the scene brining back the genre
Muddy Waters
4/5
This is early blues at it's finest. A great album!
Miles Davis
3/5
This felt like playing SimCity3000. IYKYK
The Doors
4/5
Although I have heard "Riders on the Storm" I have never really listened to the Doors before. It was fun, bluesy, and I can see why they had the impact they did.
The Doors
4/5
Back to Back and doesn't disappoint
Bee Gees
2/5
The Bee Gees Pre-Disco feels just like another 60s band. I never thought I would think that disco actually made something better ...
Buzzcocks
3/5
Classic Punk album. It was a fun listen
Brian Eno
2/5
I can see the popularity for it's stated purpose; calm, peaceful, ambient airport music. But, For the purpose of this list, I can't see anyone saying "Man, I want to go to the airport and hang out all day so I can listen to the music"
The Psychedelic Furs
3/5
It really does all sound the same sometimes, doesn't it? Not bad, not good ... just eh
The B-52's
3/5
There were several major musical themes of the 80s. The Big Hair Rock Bands, The Metal, Punk, Disco, Pop and then there was the "weird / quirky" type stuff. A B52 album that doesn't have "love shack" is definitely an interesting choice
My Bloody Valentine
2/5
This is appropriately named ...
AC/DC
5/5
It's been a while since we had a billion play song and here we have two. 45 years later this album is still rockin' and everyone knows at least one song from it
Sugar
4/5
Ever heard of the 90s Alt band Sugar?

The Adverts
2/5
A British 70's punk band? I've seen this one before. This one does nothing to differentiate itself from the others.
Miles Davis
3/5
Mile Davis is a legend and this album is staple. I don't like a lot of jazz, but this album is perfect for the background or chillin'
Bob Dylan
4/5
I get the hype. This was a folksy / bluesy album that defined a generation and a movement

It was okay ... But it is EDM and British ... so 2 stars
The xx

The Thrills
3/5
I liked this more than I wanted to ...
Lauryn Hill
4/5
This was everywhere when it came out and is one of the defining albums of the later 90s, without the "Extra" songs this would be a 3, thankfully those two tracks push it over the line for a 4.
Julian Cope
1/5
Everything about this was bad. It is 154 minutes of bad songs with very little listens, the cover art is weird and semi-offensive, like most of the music on here and lastly it is another British artist. It is hard to Cope with this Nope
Jerry Lee Lewis
5/5
Every single song on this album is a legend!
The Magnetic Fields
3/5
3 Chapters, 3 hours, 3 Stars
Super Furry Animals
2/5
All this time I misunderstood the purpose of this list. They are giving us a 1001 that we must listen to in order to actually be killed. There ae some great mixed in here to keep you hooked, but all this British stuff is the real lethal mix. Just mindlessly putting us into a irreversible stupor.
4/5
Shout out to Terry Parker High School, The Matthews Bridge, The Arlington Section of Jacksonville, Our Generation, and Ben Stiller!
Traffic
3/5
Another English Rock Band, ugh, but they were actually pretty enjoyable ... I didn't even realize they were Brits until I read the reviews.
Dr. Dre
1/5
Ah Yes, the beginning of the fall of the American Suburb. I remember when some of the stores in our popular suburban mall started playing this album. That mall is now shuttered because the culture shifted and it became unsafe. Thanks Dre!
The Louvin Brothers

I am absolutely Louvin this! Every choir student should have to listen to this. A master class on tight harmonies and diction.

Syd Barrett
3/5
Musical Genius spiraling into madness and kicked out of one of the biggest bands ever makes a solo album called "The Madcap Laughs", super awesome concept. but pretty rough product.

This was great. I enjoyed the richness and diversity in the song set and the quality of production.
Animal Collective
3/5
I feel this would be a good album for when you are working out. It sounds a bit like the "inspirational sequence" in an 80s movie ...
Frank Sinatra
4/5
What do you get when you mix Frank Sinatra and Bossa Nova ... I don't know, but I think I'm in love
Deep Purple
3/5
Fun classic rock album. It was still great even without any smoke on the water.

When someone calls themselves Sensational, they probably aren't.

TV On The Radio
2/5
I mean, it's okay. A little bit weird
Femi Kuti
3/5
I saw the album cover heard the first few notes and was going to turn it off, but I just couldn't. I kept saying "The next song is the last one" all the way to the end.
Genesis
2/5
I like English History and Mythology as much as the next guy (Maybe even slightly more) and I was really excited when I saw Genesis ... But this right here ...

1/5
No! Girl, put on some clothes and find some self respect.
