Really loved this one. Love how well they can create an atmosphere with the vocals, lyrics and instrumentation. Probably about equal with amnesiac which I got a few months ago. 5 stars

Really enjoyed this as a first album. Some standouts were chan chan, el cuatro de tula, pueblo nuevo, buena vista social club and la bayamesa. Loved the piano on songs like the title track and pueblo nuevo. Even though I don’t speak Spanish or listen to much Cuban music this album was very enjoyable to listen to. Not much to say other than that this album is quite good

Great album. Favourite songs were freedom, break, remember his name, thin line, sum of us, I am somebody and acetate prophets. Haven’t listened to much hip-hop in the past but this was an amazing introduction to the genre. Just got a great energy about it. Definitely a 5 star in my opinion

Pretty good album. Favourite songs: Ain’t no telling, little wing, you got me floatin’, castles made of sand, one rainy wish. The first few songs had me concerned that this wasn’t going to be good but it eventually hit its stride. I did find the panning on some songs annoying. 4 stars

Just alright. Songs like so in love and blue Monday people were quite good but the rest of the songs just dragged on a bit too long. Some decent rhythms but nothing too extraordinary. Would give 2.5 stars if that was an option on this website but will just stick with 2 since it’s not

Favourite songs: Stand!, somebody’s watching you, sex machine, you can make it if you try and my brain (zig zig). The albums alright, there’s some catchy stuff but not the best overall. 3 stars

It’s alright. I found the vocal delivery on most of the songs very lacklustre but the instrumentation is enough to bring it up to a 3. Favourite songs: Search and destroy, raw power.

Favourite songs: N.W.O, scare crow, corrosion. I couldn’t really understand anything the singer was saying but the music sounded quite good on most songs. I’m just not the biggest metal fan which is why I can only rate this a 3

Eh. Not very good in my opinion. The instruments were boring and the singing was honestly terrible in my opinion. If I had to pick a standout it would probably be the eternals but that’s about it. 1 star

There was some really good stuff on here and especially the more energetic songs were amazing and really suited her voice. The slower and more relaxed songs didn’t though and just felt a bit boring or annoying at times. I’ll give it 3 stars.

I just couldn’t enjoy this album. The strings were decent but an hour of sad strings over murmurs of death, love and sadness doesn’t make a good listen. Even if there is some variation on that every song drags on so long that it just becomes tired and boring. Like I said on my review of debut I think that bjork works better with upbeat songs and not sad 10 minute snoozefests. 1 star
