My introduction to the fall who have become a favourite of mine in the past few months. Really like the deadpan delivery on these songs aswell as the repetitive guitar riffs 8/10 Favourite: Barmy Least Favourite: Gut of the Quantifier

my first album in the 1001 albums project is a neil young album. I love neil young in general but this is definetly not my favourite from him the first two tracks are really good and so are the two 10 minute songs but everyrhing inbetween is pretty unnoteworthy. But overall good album 7/10 Favourite: Down by the River Least Favourite: Round & Round (It Won't Be Long)
my first album from irish band U2 was a bit of a let down its not as i expected but this albums pretty forgettable in general except of course for the intro song "Sunday Bloody Sunday" which is probably U2's best song. I like the message her and Bono's singing is nice to listen to 7/10 Favourite: Sunday Bloody Sunday Least Favourite: Surrender
One of those albums i cant say much more about. I absolutely love this album. Its a really cozy album but behind the indie folky instrumentation is some really fantastic songwriting which adds to elliot's stellar acoustic guitar playing 10/10 Favourite: 2:45 AM Least Favourite: None
really boring how anyone can listen past hello without falling asleep is a wonder to me 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Remedy
I didnt think i would like this album but i really did. i love the big beat sound of overblown drum samples and hardcore prdouction. Especially on "Smack My Bitch Up" which is probably one of my favourite songs of all time with the repreated refrains of the songs title and the ethereal transition from a section of hymns back to the original song is amazing 8/10 Favourite: Smack My Bitch Up Least Favourite: Mindfields
From one of Eric Claptons bands, This album is a jammy blues album which I enjoy regularly but there's definitely 2 songs here which are 10 times better than the rest of the album. Bell Bottom Blues has a great chorus and verse section and Layla with its iconic opening guitar riff is an instant classic. 6/10 Favourite: Layla Least Favourite: Tell the Truth
A classic modern hip hop album. One of my favourite albums of all time literally nothing I don't like about this album. It feels like the sincerest tribute to Kendricks home town of Compton. 10/10 Favourite: m.A.A.d city Least Favourite: None
I love this genre of music and I also love a female led band but I've never really found myself coming back to this one. Heart of Glass is an amazing song though 6/10 Favourite: Heart of Glass Least Favourite: 11:59
Pretty good effort from the Smiths. It sounds a bit more like they're coming into their own on this album. I really love Barbarism Begins at Home with its lyrics about children being mistreated by parents and it's funky bassline and song length 7/10 Favourite: Barbarism Begins at Home Least Favourite: Meat is Murder
Idk man this album is kind of annoying. It just feels like cheap ripoff of similar music at the time and the interludes make me wanna rip my ears off 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Happiness Stan
Probably my favourite sonic youth album. I love the guitar tones on here and the songwriting especially on Tunic is really good on this album. I don't think it's a perfect album but it's pretty close 9/10 Favourite: Mote Least Favourite: My Friend Goo
I've never been a huge fan of Simon &/or Garfunkel and this album is no different. Paul's a pretty good songwriter but his voice and delivery are not enjoyable to listen to. Even a song like "Me and Julio down by the Schoolyard" is hard to listen to because of his voice. But if you can get past that it's an ok album I suppose 5/10 Favourite: Armistice Day Least Favourite: Mother and Child Reunion
I liked it. Not really an exciting album but definitely some good soul and funk here from a good band. 6/10 Favourite: That Lady Least Favourite: You Walk Your Wat
My introduction to the fall who have become a favourite of mine in the past few months. Really like the deadpan delivery on these songs aswell as the repetitive guitar riffs 8/10 Favourite: Barmy Least Favourite: Gut of the Quantifier
Really good and consistent effort from new wave pioneers Tears for Fears. The big songs on this album are definitely the best which leaves something to be desired for the other songs on here but it's still worth listening to this album just for the big songs
The first half of this album is surprisingly good and catchy "All These Things That I've Done", "Somebody Told Me" and of course the hit that made this album prominent: "Mr. Brightside" the second half is pretty forgettable though. 6/10 Favourite: All These Things That I've Done Least Favourite: Andy, You're a Star
One of my favourite neo-psych bands The Flaming Lips make a really good concept album about cancer. The lyrical content and production on these songs are really bright but also really bittersweet and melancholic. The glitchy acoustic guitar on the title track to the choir supported chorus of "Do You Realise??" (Which is probably this bands best song). It's a pretty emotional journey and Wayne Coyne's vocals are so good on this 8/10 Favourite: Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1 Least Favourite: One More Robot / Sympathy 3000-21
It's definitely technically impressive and the fact that this guy played all of the instruments on this album is really cool but it's really forgettable just feels like Mike flexing that he can play a bunch of instruments. 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Pt. II
Definitely better than I expected and there's some catchy songs here "When I Come Around", "Welcome to Paradise" and "Basket Case". But I haven't found myself coming back to this album a lot 6/10 Favourite: When I Come Around Least Favourite: F.O.D.
Apparently a really influential album for underground rap of the 2000s but that doesn't mean it's any good or memorable for that matter 6/10 Favourite: Bladerunners Least Favourite: I Feel Like $100
I mean it's Nick Drake. I really can't think of anything bad to say about his music. This albums is so beautiful and has such a good atmosphere and Nick's guitar playing is mesmerising. "Saturday Sun" is probably my favourite Nick Drake song. It's the only song that is predominantly played with a piano and the keys sound so beautiful and lyrically it's amazing aswell 9/10 Favourite: Saturday Sun Least Favourite: None
I have an interesting relationship with this album. I discovered it way before getting into music because of the Johnny Cash's amazing cover of the outro to this album "Hurt". When I finally got around to listening to it I loved it at first. Then I listened to it again and didn't like it because of the lyrics which I thought sounded edgy for the sake of being edgy. Then I listened again and realised that this album is supposed to be edgy because that's Nine Inch Nails whole aesthetic and I love it. I don't think this album is perfect but I do think it deserves its high regards. It's an essential centrepiece of the post-industrial genre. The song "Closer" has this filthy baseline over a drum machine beat with Trent singing like a depraved animal craving sex. After which the song goes into an instrumental section that keeps getting more dense with synths and fuzzy guitar for 3 minutes this song is amazing. 9/10 Favourite: Closer Least Favourite: Piggy
I love the sentiment of this album ,as a trans woman, I love artists that are unafraid to show their pride and make music about it. I love that about this album but I honestly don't think I would wanna be caught dead listening to most of these songs. They have a time and a place and some people will enjoy this more than I do but I don't enjoy listening to this album. Even the big hit from this album "Tainted Love" is a really cliche, annoying new wave song that brings me no joy. I guess "Frustration" is a pretty fun song which I like the sentiment of 4/10 (extra points for LGBTQ rep) Favourite: Frustration Least Favourite: Tainted Love
Most projects from the 70s that have Brian Eno involved in some way are usually gonna range between being pretty good and a masterpiece. This album is no different. It takes the cliche of 70s glam rock and adds some progressive and experimental rock elements which makes for a really interesting listen. Although I haven't found myself coming back to this one a lot I like the creativity and anything pre ambient Eno related usually is worth listening to 7/10 Favourite: If There is Something Least Favourite: Chance Meeting
The title track is really catchy but the rest of the album is just ok. Can't really think of anything that was particularly interesting in the rest of the album mainly just background music. 6/10 Favourite: Inspiration Information Least Favourite: XL-30
It's ok. A soul album from the 60s not a lot to talk about here it's good background music. 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: You Can't Love Them All
I had higher hopes from this album after hearing "Them Changes" an amazing modern funk & soul song. But I was pretty disappointed by what was here. Some cool ideas that don't really go anywhere interesting 6/10 Favourite: Them Changes Least Favourite: Drink Dat
An amazing double album from The Beatles whom need no introduction. 90 minutes of some of the catchiest and well written songs The Beatles have made 9/10 Favourite: Helter Skelter Least Favourite: Piggies
It's so peak. 2 20 minute songs that feel like 5 minutes they're so smooth and just really comforting to listen to. Every member of the band is performing at their best here aswell. Without a doubt my favourite Miles album 10/10 Favourite: In a Silent Way Least Favourite: None
This is definitely a weird one. Like every neurodivergent music nerd I love krautrock a lot. This album is definitely not my favourite in the genre but I do like this album. The droney opener "Krautrock", "Jennifer" & "Giggy Smile" (or whatever it's actually called on the official release) are all staples of the genre imo. The rest of this album leans into Faust's experimental side a lot more, which I don't love but still appreciate. 7/10 Favourite: Giggy Smile Least Favourite: The Sad Skinhead
One of my favourite albums of all time. The songwriting and performances are great. I love Stuart Murdoch's Vocals and the melodies on this album are so catchy. "The Stars of Track and Field". "Like Dylan in the Movies" and the title track are some of my favourite songs of all time 10/10 Favourite: If You're Feeling Sinister Least Favourite: None
My perception of "Seven Nation Army" has been absolutely ruined by over playing on mainstream media. If you removed it this would be an 8/10. The rest of the album is pretty gas though. "Black Math", "Ball and Biscuit" & "Girl, You have no Faith in Medicine" are great songs. The acoustic songs are kind of annoying though 7/10 Favourite: Ball and Biscuit Least Favourite: Seven Nation Army
Come on its paranoid what else can I say except that it's one of the best albums of all time and one of my favourite albums of all time. The guitar tone is great and I really appreciate the bass playing in this album you dont hear it a lot in modern metal and it's refreshing to hear it here R.I.P Ozzy 10/10 Favourite: Fairies Wear Boots Least Favourite: None
I really don't like queen. They've made a handful of good songs but even there good songs are annoying as hell. It's just generic 70s glam rock slop that everyone thinks is like the best music ever and tries to copy what it's contemporaries did better. Also Bohemian rhapsody is an ok song I don't hate it 5/10 Favourite: Bohemian Rhapsody Least Favourite: Seaside Rendezvous
Decent singer-songwriter album. Some good piano playing and vocals here. Crucify is a great song and there's also an a capella song here interestingly enough. 7/10 Favourite: Crucify Least Favourite: China
I don't love Muse. They've always sounded like entry level, radio friendly alt-prog rock. This album is ok. Knights of Cydonia is a pretty great song 6/10 Favourite: Knights of Cydonia Least Favourite: Supermassive Black Hole
I only give this album points because they influenced "Bring Me The Horizon" who got me through my highschool years but most of this stuff has aged pretty poorly just sounds like typical edgy nu metal from the 2000s but there is some legitimately good songs on here. "Papercut" for example 7/10 Favourite: Papercut Least Favourite: In the End
I'm not one to complain about length on an album but seriously another Prince album that's over an hour long. I do like some of this album, the title track, "Delirious" & "Little Red Corvette" are great but Prince definitely has a problem with dragging out songs way longer than they need to be 7/10 Favourite: Delirious Least Favourite: D.M.S.R.
I originally gave this a 10/10 but changed my rating as I lost interest in listening to it but I still think this albums really good. Imo glam rock is a hard genre to pull of well and Sparks definitely does it well. 8/10 Favourite: This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both of Us Least Favourite: In My Family
Really fun and energetic album with really catchy songs. Literally doesn't waste a single second of your time every song is just perfectly made 10/10 Favourite: Take It or Leave It Least Favourite: None
It's ok I suppose. I did expect to not like this more because of "Bittersweet Symphony" which upon relistening I like more than I used to. The rest of the album kind of just sounds like a Spiritualized rip off. "The Drugs Don't Work" is a good song with some good lyrics 6/10 Favourite: Bittersweet Symphony Least Favourite: Weeping Willow
Pretty boring proto new wave album. I haven't come back to this album at all. I will give it extra points because it's a genre I like but definitely not a staple of it. 4/10 Favourite: Another Girl, Another Planet Least Favourite: The Whole of the Law
Boring and forgettable west coast hip hop. Really don't see why this was on the 1001 albums list 2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: None
I liked this album. Joans voice is great and she was also a pioneer of the Greenwich village scene along with contemporaries like Bob Dylan. "Silver Dagger" and "House of the Rising Sun" are good. I think a lot of this album is fairly shallow and forgettable 6/10 Favourite: Silver Dagger Least Favourite: Rake and Rambling Boy
I've never really enjoyed Depeche Mode. I found the vocals to be kind of annoying and the production to be too cliche. Even though they are pioneers of the synthpop genre I just never could get into them. "Music for the Masses" is no different, I really haven't found myself coming back to this album at all and there's just nothing telling me to here 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Pimpf
I need to listen to more of this guy because I really liked this album. I loved the psychedelic production and manic vocals from Todd. The album also just feels surprisingly coherent for how all over the place everything about the album feels 8/10 Favourite: International Feel Least Favourite: Dogfight Giggle
A classic psych rock album from the 60s. Some great druggy imagery depicted in the lyrics. I do think this album does lack a bit of cohesion in the middle but for the most part it's pretty good. 7/10 Favourite: Somebody to Love Least Favourite: My Best Friend
I thought I would like this more because of Nick Drake but I honestly was kind of disappointed with how bland most of these songs are. "Father and Son" is a great song though. 6/10 Favourite: Father and Son Least Favourite: Longer Boats
Arguably the first punk rock album which is surprising considering how boring this album is. For the time I can imagine it was pretty revolutionary though. The songs kind of just get annoying after a while 6/10 Favourite: Pretty Vacant Least Favourite: Seventeen
Another boring new wave album that at least is an all girl group I'm a fan of that but a lot of these songs just kind of sound the same little to no variation 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: This Town
Some boring ass Christian hip hop 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: None
I really liked this surprisingly. I thought it was going to be more kitschy but it does actually sound really good. 7/10 Favourite: The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down Least Favourite: Jawbone
Decent alt rock from post-hardcore pioneers "Hüsker Dü". Havent really listened to much of their other stuff but i can tell i would probably enjoy it from this album. 7/10 Favourite: Charity, Chastity, Prudence, and Hope Least Favourite: She Floated Away
I dont usually like reggae as a genre its just way too slow and relaxed for me. But the songwriting on this album is really good and Bob has a really good ability for writing a hook. I do also like the socio-politcal commentary in the lyrics sounds very genuine. 8/10 Favourite: Jamming Least Favourite: Guiltiness
This albums is really good in my opinion but i dont see why this is so highly rated. Sure "Gimmie Shelter" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" are great (probably two of the best stone's songs) but the rest of this album just feels like filler to get between the two songs. That being said i do like some of those songs "Love in Vain" and the title track are great. 8/10 Favourite: Gimmie Shelter Least Favourite: Country Honk
Some great conscious, poetic soul from my favourite soul singer "Gil-Scott Heron". Feels very mellow but definetly has some heavier moments lyrically. "Peace Go With You, Brother", "Rivers of My Fathers" and "H²Ogate Blues" are really good songs 8/10 Favourite: Rivers of My Fathers Least Favourite: Your Daddy Loves You
Never been a huge fan of Michael. He's got a great backstory and everything but i just cant get into his music maybe its just because im a boring person. Regardless "Off the Wall" is no different. It's fun but i cant find a lot of substance here 6/10 Favourite: Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough Least Favourite: I Can't Help It
Pretty boring but chill downtempo album. i like the touches of old blues and folk samples but apart from that nothing that interesting here. 5/10 Favourite: Porcelain Least Favourite: Guitar Flute & String
D'angelo's debut album is not as good as his other 2 albums. Which isn't saying musch considering how close "Brown Sugar" is to being perfect. The melodies and singing and production on this album hit so much. Pretty Much a perfect album 9/10 Favourite: Lady Least Favourite Jonz in My Bonz
I dont see why this is on the 1001 albums list. Its an ok live album not anything mind blowing here. The performance of "Saint Dominics Preview" Is great. 6/10 Favourite: Saint Dominic's Preview Least Favourite: Caravan
After having listened to "Elephant" and enjoying it i expected to like this album more than i did, Honestly its kind of forgettable and theres too much slow folk stuff her imo. 6/10 Favourite: Sixteen Saltines Least Favourite: Trash Tongue Talker
I know The Beatles were very influenced by this guy so they get extra points for that but I literally cannot think of a situation where i would listen to this again. 5/10 Favourite: Dádrá Least Favourite: Bhimpalási
I honestly couldn't believe this album was from '88 when i first listened to it. Feels very faithful to old folk music. That being said i dont feel like theres a lot of substance here tbh. The concept is cool tho. "We Will Not Be Lovers" is a great song. 7/10 Favourite: We Will Not Be Lovers Least Favourite: Has Anybody Here Seen Hank?
I feel like its a rite of passage to listen to this album if youve played fallout new vegas. The songs have really good storytelling and put you into the atmosphere of the album really well. I just dont listen to this album enough to really enjoy it as much as id like. 7/10 Favourite: El Paso Least Favourite: A Hundred and Sixty Acres
Pretty forgettable album. I dont usually listen to big band stuff but i didnt hate it. 4/10 Favourite: Just a Gigolo Least Favourite: Night Train
Apart from the big hit on this album there's really not much here if note. I also find the vocals to be a bit annoying. But it's listenable 5/10 Favourite: There She Goes Least Favourite: Failure
The flaming lips if they were worse and British. Theres not much of note here just some sub par neo-psych 4/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Alternate Route to Vulcan Street
A great debut album form progressive rock legends: "Yes". Each song has its own unique feel to it and the guitar playing is great i also like the lyrics theyre philosphical whilst also remaining quite unserious 8/10 Favourite: Yours is No Disgrace Least Favourite: The Clap
Ive never been a huge fan of this guy. His music isnt for me but he was super influentila to David Bowie who i do like so extra points for that Favourite: None Least Favourite: Le plat pays
Amazing noise, industrial rock record. Steve Albini's guitar tone and vocals combined with Dave Rileys bass palying make for a very good album exploring dark themes. Also the drum machine in this album is probably my favourite part of it. 9/10 Favourite: Kerosene Least Favourite: None
Not my favourite Led Zeppelin album but its still pretty good. "In My Time of Dying", "Trampled Under Foot" and "Custarf Pie" are some of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs. Also "Kashmir" is so overrated. 7/10 Favourite: In My Time of Dying Least Favourite: Black Country Woman
Not a huge fan of grindcore. Theres some good songs here. "Instinct of Survival", the title track and of course "You Suffer" is great but i feel like the gimmick here wears off quickly. 6/10 Faovurite: You Suffer Least Favourite: C.S.
Kind of hard for me to talk about this album without glazing it. If youre wondering and havent listened to it yes it is genuinely that good. The production and lyricisim on this album is absolutely top tier probably the best in its genre. The concept here is great aswell its the closest you can get to watching a movie when listening to an album imo. 9/10 Favourite: Mortal Man Least Favourite: For Sale? (Interlude)
Every song on here is just full of emotion and feels like such a dark yet bittersweet send off for this group. Absolutely breathtaking. "Silence", "The Rip" and "Machine Gun" are great songs off an album that has no bad songs. 10/10 Favourite: Machine Gun Least Favourite: None
Absolutely horrendous boomer rock slop with no substance. Its like they heard The Beatles and said "We should do this but worse. The big hit "Mr. Blue Sky" is probably one of the most annoying songs ive ever heard 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Mr. Blue Sky
Some really good female led punk 7/10 Favourite: Art-I-Ficial Least Favourite: The Day the World Turned Dayglo
The last time Metallica actually made something that was worth listening to. I like the technicality here and the album feels pretty consistent in general. I do think "One" is a bit overrated. Lyrically it's great but musically it's lacking 8/10 Favourite: Blackened Least Favourite: The Frayed Ends of Sanity
A great classic metal record. The title track is so good probably one of the best songs of all time. The bass playing and guitar as is consistent with future Black Sabbath releases is mesmerising. 9/10 Favourite: Black Sabbath Least Favourite: None
I don't love 80s hip hop. This albums pretty cool though. The production was way ahead of its time 7/10 Favourite: Fight the Power Least Favourite: Can't Do Nuttin' For Ya Man
It's ok I guess a bit long. Nowhere near as good as anything his father made 5/10 Favourite: Frustrations Least Favourite: Survival
I didn't really expect to enjoy this upon first listen but it was surprisingly good. "Politik" and the two big hits from this record are really good. Rest of the album is pretty forgettable. 7/10 Favourite: Clocks Least Favourite: A Whisper
Some good live soul. Sam Cookes voice is always really nice to listen to. I also really liked the general energy of this album. Feels very of its time. 8/10 Favourite: Bring It on Home to Me Least Favourite: None
Really good hip hop album. Production is great which is not surprising considering Kanye had a hand in the production. The sound in general is very uplifting and I feel like it cheers me up whenever I listen to it. 8/10 Favourite: Faithful Least Favourite: The Food
This album is pretty weird. A swampy new Orleans blues album with some psych and occult elements. Pretty cool concept but fails to keep much of my attention 6/10 Favourite: I Walk on Gilded Splinters Least Favourite: Mama Roux
A classic pop album, with lots of baroque and psychedelic elements. I love the vocals and production here. 9/10 Favourite: Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder) Least Favourite: None
I thought i would like this more. Im usually a fan of british 90s psych. But this album does little to diffrentiate it from its contemporarys. 6/10 Favourite: Kinky Afro Least Favourite: Holiday
Not really my type of music but definetly pleasant to listen to. Chan Chan is a really catchy. I love the general vibe of this album but its just not something i would returm to and its also bit bloated. 7/10 Favourite: Chan Chan Least Favourite: Pueblo Neuvo
A very sombre album compared to Beach Boy's other efforts. I love the darker atmosphere on this album i think they pull it off quite well. The songs are also really catchy and have some really good production attatched to them 8/10 Favourite: Surf's Up Least Favourite: A Day in the Life of a Tree
Another great effort from bob. I love the cryptic lyricism and bluesy instrumentation. The only complaint i have is that is album is way too long and did not need to be a double album 8/10 Favourite: Visions of Johanna Least Favourite: Obviously 5 Believers
An album that on the surface i should enjoy because of the genres. But i couldnt get into this. Their previous album "The Modern Dance" is actually a lot better. 6/10 Favourite: Navvy Least Favourite: Codex
Pretty boring album. Some nice listening here for sure but nothing that will keep me coming back 5/10 Favourite: Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder) Least Favourite: Lonely's the Only Company (I & II)
Should be rated higher on this site imo but still really good. The first side is near perfect with some sombre blues and the masterpiece of a song that is the title track. The second side does falter a little with some songs that are just plain annoying. But they do close the album with "Riders on the Storm" which makes up for that 8/10 Favourite: L.A. Woman Least Favourite: L'America
Gorillaz first album defintely lays the foundation for the bands sound to come but "Gorillaz" ends up feeling a little bloated inbetween the obvious highlights here 7/10 Favourite: Tommorow Comes Today Least Favourite: M1 A1
I liked this album for a little bit ended up getting a bit bored of it the last stretch of "Parklife" is pretty forgettable and makes it a slog to get throught but the first 8 songs on this record are great and make this album worth listening to. 7/10 Favourite: Parklife Least Favorite: Jubilee
A quintessential noise rock album. One of my favourites of all time. I love pretty much everything about this album. The perfomances from every band member is great and you can really here the Glenn Branca influence shine through here. 9/10 Favourite: The Sprawl Least Favourite: None
An album i havent had the desire to go back to. I like the sampling and energetic performances. But theres not much substance here. 6/10 Favourite: No Sleep Till Brooklyn Least Favourite: Girls
Very bland r&b that lacks in substance. The second side of this album is possibly one of the most annoying pieces of music ive ever had to sit through 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Enter the Circus
Pretty by the numbers as far as john lennon solo stuff goes. Some ok songs but overall a pretty boring album. 6/10 Favourite: Imagine Least Favourite: I Dont Want to Be A Soldier
Really good jam band live album. The guitar playing is really fun to listen to and remains so throughout the album. The 22 minute performance of Whipping Post feels so quick but still lets you appreciate the technicality within. 8/10 Favourite: Whipping Post Least Favourite: Hot 'Lanta
The fact that people actually like this band is absurd. Its like you gave the mic to an edgy 13 year old and told him to say whats on his mind while everyone else in the band wonders what they did wrong to end up in Limp Bizkit. Why this is on the 1001 albums to listen to before you die list is absolutely beyond me. I definetly couldve died happy having never listened to this pile of garbage. 2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Hot Dog
Good political and conscious soul, curtis stays consistent as he usually does. Gets kind of uninteresting around the end but still good. 7/10 Favourite: Billy Jack Least Favourite: Jesus
Really boring and uninspired oasis rip offs. 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Only Teethin'
Highly overrated imo. The concept is good but there is a lot of boring filler in this album that is just boring to listen to for example "The Show Must Go On", "The Trial" but the good songs here are really good. "Comfortably Numb" and "Hey You" are probably two of Floyds best songs. 7/10 Favourite: Hey You Least Favourite: The Trial
This is pretty decent but kind of forgettable. I like the psychedelic influences its very vibey and fits pretty well with the cover. Kind of just sounds uninspired compared to David's contemporaries at the time. "Cowboy Movie" is great. 6/10 Favourite: Cowboy Movie Least Favourite: Music is Love
I love space rock revival which makes this album more listenable to me but the indie sleaze of this record throwa me off. Courtneys vocals are really annoying but i love songs like "The Creep Out" they just feel so surreal and psychedelic. 6/10 Favourite: The Creep Out Least Favourite: Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth
Pretty samey the whole way through. Its listenable but the only standout here is "Waterfalls" the rest is pretty uninspired. 5/10 Favourite: Waterfalls Least Favourite: Can I Get a Witness (Interlude)
I have a soft spot for Billie because of fallout but in actually listening to this album theres not much here that makes it stand out 6/10 Favourite: I Get Along Without You Very Well Least Favourite: Ill Be Around
My 2nd favourite bowie album. The funk influence here is great. Every song feels so emotional and passionate but still have a really fun atmosphere. "Station to Station" is probably my favourite bowie song with its atmospheric intro which goes into this amazing krautrock beat which then changes into a disco song. Its just really incredible how well this album flows. 10/10 Favourite: Station to Station Least Favourite: None
A 2 hour long double album which feels very bloated. I honestly cant see why this album is so highly rated. If it was shorter and more concise i could see why. Of course "1979", "Tonight, Tonight" and "Zero" are great but theyre pretty much the only songs worth coming back to here. 6/10 Favourite: Zero Least Favourite: We Only Come Out at Night
Another good effort from Roxy music. Their music doesn't tend to stick with you a lot but its enjoyable. The Thrill of It All is great. 7/10 Favourite: The Thrill of It All Least Favourite: Triptych
Yeah kind of just a nothing album. It's just covers of old blues songs. Not much too add. 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Walking the Dog
Really solid debut. Apart from psycho killer theres some really good songs here: Pulled Up, Love Comes to Town and The Book I Read are worth listening to. Definetly lays the foundation for american post-punk. 8/10 Favourite: Pulled Up Least Favourite: Happy Day
Probably the most boring album on this list so far. I dont have a lot to say about this. 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: The Cuckoo
Wish I coud enjoy this more i love the energy and messages here but most of this album is pretty mid imo 6/10 Favourite: How I Could Just Kill A Man Least Favourite: Latin Lingo
Really good probably my favourite steely dan album. Every song is so melodic and well performed. These guys know how to make goos sounding music and they're not afraid to show it. 9/10 Favourite: Do It Again Least Favourite: None
Surprisingly good listen. Hearing that this album was just piano I was expecting to be pretty bored but the intricacies and melodies here are really nice to listen to 8/10 Favourite: Part 1 Least Favourite: None
Really solid rock and roll album. Ramble Ramble and Through the Grapevine are great. My only problem is that I've heard the hits of this album so much that I don't really enjoy those songs anymore. I can also see this being conservative music 8/10 Favourite: Ramble Tamble Least Favourite: Rum Through the Jungle
Cool concept but I can't see myself listening to this again tbh. I like Willies voice I think it sounds very fitting for this album. 6/10 Favourite: Can I Sleep In Your Arms Least Favourite: Denver
Its crazy how relevant this album was and had remained since it released. The political commentary of police being corrupt, the government being corrupt over the heavy instrumentation really sells the point of this album. It's one of my favourites of all time. 10/10 Favourite: Settle for Nothing Least Favourite: None
Pretty solid album. Reeks of Joanna Newsom influence tho. 6/10 Favourite: Fall Least Favourite: Tit Smoking
Great debut. Sugar and Suite-Pee are great and love the instrumentation and singing on this. 8/10 Favourite: Sugar Least Favourite: Qubert
Pretty uninteresting tbh. The songs are nice to listen to but not much substance. Southern Point and Two Weeks are amazing songs tho especially Two Weeks 7/10 Favourite: Two Weeks Least Favourite: Dory
Same problem i have woth cosmos factory persists here. The deep cuts are good but the hits are overplayed and especially Bad Moon Rising has gotten particularly annoying to me 7/10 Favourite: Green River Least Favourite: Bad Moon Rising
5/10 Favourite: A Place in the Sun Least Favourite: Sueno
7/10 Favourite: Gasoline Alley Least Favourite: Jo's Lament
5/10 Favourite: Don't Bother Me Least Favourite: Little Child
6/10 Favourite: The Age of the Understatement Least Favourite: In My Room
8/10 Favourite: Under the Sun Least Favourite: St. Vitus Dance
8.5/10 Favourite: Whole Lotta Love Least Favourite: Thank You
8/10 Favourite: Tell Me Why Least Favourite: Till the Morning Comes
9/10 Favourite: Sex Beat Least Favourite: Black Train
2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Only God Knows Why I could've died happy not listening to ts
8/10 Favourite: Life on Mars? Least Favourite: Eight Line Poem
Another U2 album it's quite a step down from War. This albums pretty creative in its production which makes sense since Brian Eno was producing some of these tracks. But generally not that memorable I haven't gone back to it a lot. 6/10 Favourite: Zoo Station Least Favourite: Love Is Blindness
pretty good. i kind of hate the vocals but the songs are pretty catchy 6/10 Favourite: Alright Least Favourite: We're Not Supposed To
Surprisingly good. i dont usually enjoy international music, but this is really good. Very melodic and funky. 8/10 Favourite: Ponta de lança africano (Umbabarauma) Least Favourite: O filósofo
good live album. similar to the sam cooke album that was on this list but not as good imo 7/10 Favourite Medley Least Favourite: Try Me
very high concept but not that listenable in terms of how good the music is. its ok but definetly overrated. 6/10 Favourite: Locked Inside Least Favourite: Wondaland
Its ok. the political commentary is good but i dont find the music terribly interesting tbh 6/10 Favourite: Infected Least Favourite: Out of the Blue (Into the Fire)
Definetly not as good as exodus but still pretty good. 6/10 Favourite: Rebel Music Least Favourite: Bend Down Low
yayy! lesbian music. Pretty chill album not really much to say except its lesbian music so it automatically gets points from me. 6/10 Favourite: The Mind Of Love Least Favourite: Season of Hollow Soul
Really depressing but good album. Makes me want to listen to more of their stuff as i do love power pop. The femme fatale cover is actually pretty good. 7/10 Favourite: For You Least Favourite: Stroke It Noel
Really mediocre hard rock for conservative dads who beat their wives 5/10 Favourite: Sharp Dressed Man Least Favourite: Tv Dinners
Very good better than I expected. Really like the songwriting here and Amy's voice 8/10 Favourite: Back to Black Least Favourite: Some Unholy War
Probably my favourite cute album love the dark atmosphere and production it's so peak 9/10 Favourite: A Strange Day Least Favourite: None
Pretty good comeback from shoegaze legends my bloody valentine. This album definitely sounds like them but feels a bit uninspired probably because of the time of its release 7/10 Favourite: she found now Least Favourite: is this and yes
Absolute peak. Really iconic album with a very consistent tracklist without a dull moment. Especially the medley is great 9/10 Favourite: I Want You (She's So Heavy( Least Favourite: None
I love the energy here but a lot of these songs are pretty hit or miss. Self Esteem and Come Out and Play are great though. 7/10 Favourite: Come Out and Play Least Favourite: Killboy Powerhead
An album that on the surface I thought I would enjoy more because of the genres and I also like Spiritualized. Not to say I didn't enjoy it at all this album is good but it's not something I think I would come back to often 7/10 Favourite: Revolution Least Favourite: How Does it Feel
Love the raw energy here and the bluesy rock mixed with more experimental and psych elements and Beefhearts voice really fits with the music here. 8/10 Favourite: I'm Glad Least Favourite: Grown So Ugly
Some nice chill jazz. I love Take Five but I haven't really found any reason to go back to this one apart from that. 7/10 Favourite: Take Five Least Favourite: Kathy's Waltz
An album and band I've been meaning to check for a while because of their association with Kevin Shields of my bloody valentine. I usually like British psych and this is no different. The endless psych/dance grooves here are a joy to listen to. An album that would definitely be improved by being high while listening. 8/10 Favourite: Come Together Least Favourite: Inner Flight
Haven't really gone back to this. It's pretty mellow and Bebel has a nice voice but i haven't had the desire to listen to it again. 6/10 Favourite: Samba da benção Least Favourite: Samba e amor
My first exposure to Bruce and I honestly really love it the. The atmosphere and songwriting here is really incredible. Bruce's raspy voice also works really well here. 9/10 Favourite: Nebraska Least Favourite: State Trooper
Some decent indie rock. Love Your New Cuckoo. Im not a huge fan of Lovefool though. I like some of the vocals here though 6/10 Favourite: Your New Cuckoo Least Favourite: Heartbreaker
Definitely one of the bands more experimental works. A lot of the songs here are great but its not on the level of its predecessor Kid A. 8/10 Favourite: Pyramid Song Least Favourite: Like Spinning Plates
I thought i wasnt gonna enjoy this at first but its a really consistently good album. All the songs are catchy and have some really good guitar playing and i love the cryptic lyricism. 8/10 Favourite: Laughing Least Favourite: We Walk
I really wanted to like this album but i find the vocals to be quite annoying and theres not a lot of substance in terms of songwriting here 6/10 Favourite: No Action Least Favourite: Little Triggers
I knew i was gonna like this album right from the start. I usually love sade and this is no different. The songwriting and hooks are great and this album has a great atmosphere. 9/10 Favourite: Your Love is King Least Favourite: None
An album that feels too full of itself and gets annoying once every song repeats the same hook for like 6 minutes. 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: In Heaven
A perfect dream pop record. Even though the lyrics are unintellegible most of the time the emotions that are conveyed through these songs are still perfectly understood 10/10 Favourite: Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires Least Favourite: None
Eric definetly deserves flowers for his guitar playing and his work with cream but bruh this album is so boring 6/10 Favourite: Motherless Children Least Favourite: Get Ready
About what i expected from fionas debut but thats not to say its bad there is some really good songs here that make the album worth a listen 8/10 Favourite: Shadowboxer Least Favourite: Pale September
incredibly boring and uninspired not worth your time at all 2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Nobody's Girl
Really good funky album from pioneers of the genre parliament. 8/10 Favourite: Give Up the Funk Least Favourite: None
I like this album but i do think its overrated. Half of these songs are just boring or annoying. The Chain is probably one of the best songs ever made tho. 8/10 Favourite: The Chain Least Favourite: Don't Stop
Im not really into daft punk and this album is no different. Its unbearably long and loses steam after the first few songs. Around the World is great but apart from theres not much substance here. 5/10 Favourite: Around the World Least Favourite: Oh Yeah
Good but overrated. The title track is amazing and so is the boxer but i cant see why this album is so highly rated. 7/10 Favourite: Bridge Over Troubled Water Least Favourite: Bye Bye Love
Heavy metal is probably one of my least favourite genres. Its done ok here but i just cant get past the cheesyness of this genre. Uhm hallowed be thy name is pretty good. Invaders is a terrible chioce for an intro track. 7/10 Favourite: The Prisoner Least Favourite: Invaders
The 21 minute intro song is great but the rest of the album is pretty hit or miss I'm not generally into jungle music though. 6/10 Favourite: Timeless Least Favourite: Adrift
A solo album from bad seeds member. Very dark and ominous sounding but not really that interesting honestly 6/10 Favourite: Something Wicked This Way Comes Least Favourite: Vermillion Kisses
Another great effort from talking heads maybe not as good as the debut but still pretty much on par. Take me to the river is great so is Found a job and The Big country 8/10 Favourite: Take Me to the RIver Least Favourite: Stay Hungry
I don't love this album honestly just sounds like some pretty boring and uninspired pop rock. Weather with You is pretty good tho. 5/10 Favourite: Weather With You Least Favourite: All I Ask
Really didn't enjoy this just some really drab house music that doesn't go anywhere and has absolutely no substance. I feel like the title is supposed to be some sort of revolutionary title but when this is the sort of music your making it doesn't really work 1/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Musclecar Reform Reprise
Not really my thing tbh. I don't really love the kinks albums from this era they have a few good songs here and there but the album's as a whole experience are pretty boring 6/10 Favourite: Yes Sir, No Sir Least Favourite: Young and Innocent Days
Pretty uninteresting for the rolling stones. Mother's little helper is a horrifically underrated song in the stone's catalogue. Under my thumb is pretty good aswell. A lot of this album just sounds like background music though. 6/10 Favourite: Mother's Little Helper Least Favourite: Take It or Leave It
Really artistically impressive and interesting on the surface but kind of ends up feeling pretty forgettable 7/10 Favourite: Sad Song Least Favourite: Caroline Says I
I dont get it just sounds like some misogynistic post-grunge 5/10 Favourite: Gentlemen Least Favourite: Brother Woodrow / Closing Prayer
Not suprised that its another really good album like pretty much all killer no filler. Not as good as other steely dan albums but still great. 8/10 Favourite: Rikki Don't Lose That Number Least Favourite: East St. Louis Toodle-Oo
Some really good alt rock a lot less noisy than their previous album but the dark atmosphere is really good here. 8/10 Favourite: Darklands Least Favourite: Cherry
Some good live space rock not much here that is worth listening to again in my opinion. It's pretty cool that Lemmy is in this band though. 6/10 Favourite: Born To Go Least Favourite: 7 by 7
Like I've said in other reviews I do not like queen and once again no difference here. Its just sounds too annoying to me. Another one bites the dust is probably a contender for the most annoying radio hit I've ever heard. 4/10 Favourite: Brighton Rock Least Favourite: Bring Back That Leroy Brown
Great another limp bizkit adjacent band. For some reason I expected to enjoy this more but it's genuinely really bad. Limp bizkit at least has some catchy songs. Korn just throws a bunch of vulgar shit at the wall and hopes some of it sticks. The lyrics are terrible the instrumentals are terrible I genuinely don't understand how people like this band. 2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: All in the Family
I enjoy this album more now after having listened to a lot of music and reading about the story behind this album. It's actually really inspiring. The instrumentation of course is great here aswell 9/10 Favourite: Pt. I - Acknowledgement Least Favourite: None

A pretty boring and repetitive but funky new wave album. All the songs just kind of sound the same with little to no variation 5/10 Favourite: Boy Meets Girl Least Favourite: Kingsize
Not much to write home about here but i definetly didnt hate the album by any means 6/10 Favourite: Cowboys & Angels Least Favourite: Waiting for that Day
A very complex and interesting listen. I really like the singing and the progressiveness of the songs 7/10 Favourite: Cannibal Resource Least Favourite: The Bride
A great folk album from the 80s with some very conscious lyrics. The songs on this album arent bad but are overshadowed by the masterpiece of a song "Fast Car" 7/10 Favourite: Fast Car Least Favourite: If Not Now
A good collection of songs here but just not too interseting to my ears ive never been a huge fan of synthpop. I do like the lyrics on this album and i love the people behind pet shop boys but i just cannot get into the music 6/10 Favourite: I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind of Thing Least Favourite:Young Offender
not much to talk about here the songs arent that memorable but are fun to listen to 6/10 Favourite: Can't Stand Me Now Least Favourite: Tomblands
A surprisingly good debut album from legendary rap trio "A Tribe Called Quest" some really great sample work and lyricism make this album a fun enjoyable listen all the way through 8/10 Favourite: I Left My Wallet in El Segundo Least Favourite: Go Ahead in
A nice chill psych folk and rock album not many highlights here except for "Goin' Back" 7/10 Favourite: Goin' Back Least Favourite: Old John Robertson
The Residents - Duck Stab / Buster & Glen I love this band and i love their influence on experimental music and avant-garde art that being sai i cant really see myself going back to this album alot but i still love it regardless 8/10 Favourite: Hello Skinny Least Favourite: Laughing Song
Jamiroquai - Emergency on Planet Earth A really well performed and energetic jazz funk album from the iconic band "Jamiroquai" this was my first experience with the band outside of the amazing "Virtual Insanity". I cant say i was dissapointed but i kind of felt like the album got a bit too self-indulgent at points 7/10 Favourite: Revolution 1993 Least Favourite: Music of the Mind
theres not much for me to say that hasnt already been said about this album. Its absolutely incredible every song feels like every member of the band put their heart & soul into it 9/10 Favourite: 21st Century Schizoid Man Least Favourite: Moonchild
An ok collection of proto-punky mod songs not too many highlights here. "The Kids are Alright" and the title track are great the rest kind of goes in one ear and out the other. Also La-La-La Lies seems really sexist and manipulative. Definetly the worst The Who album ive lisented to so far 6/10 Favourite: My Generation Least Favourite: La-La-La Lies
A very experimental 60's rock album. Has elements of Musique concrete. In general I love Zappa and the mothers so its a no brainer that I would like this but I havent gone back to it in a while. 7/10 Favourite: Help, I'm a Rock Least Favourite: Wowee Zowee
The debut album from stoner rock legends "Queens of the Stone Age" has all the heaviness I would have hoped for from their catalogue. The guitars and vocal performances are great. These songs don't feel as fleshed out as they could be though much like on "Songs for the Deaf" 7/10 Favourite: If Only Least Favourite: Hispanic Impressions
An ok album from morrisey. I dont really like morrisey as a person which sours my opinion of this album but that being said some theses songs feel like they go nowhere. The first few songs sound like if morrisey and nirvana made a song together which i kind of like 6/10 Favourite: You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side Least Favourite: Seasick, Yet Still Docked
One of my favourite albums of all time. The way this album explores sensuality in an electronic, glitchy form is amazing. Songs like Cocoon are a perfect example of this with Bjorks soothing voice over this ambient instrumental gives me chills everytime. Absolutely breathtaking album 10/10 Favourite: Unison Least Favourite: None
A really good glamy album from The Stooges frontman Iggy Pop. I love the backing vocals from Bowie on some of these songs and the instrumentals are also very energetic and lyrically it falters at some points but still a really good listen 8/10 Favourite: Lust for Life Least Favourite: Success
My first exposure to M.I.A. in album form. Really fun listen some of the songs get a bit annoying but generally a very enjoyable and eclectic album 7/10 Favourite: Bucky Done Gun Least Favourite: Hombre
A classic metal album. Some really iconic songs here like Battery, the title track and Disposable Heroes. My only problem here is that this album feels like it meanders a bit and I'm just not a huge fan of metal in general but it's still great album to listen to even if you're not a metal fan 8/10 Favourite: Master of Puppets Least Favourite: Welcome Home (Sanitorium)
Pretty boring honestly. Expected more from this some of the songs are great and pretty iconic in the 90s hip hop scene but a lot of it feels without substance also some of the skits just feel overly misognystic. 6/10 Favourite: Let Me Ride Least Favourite: High Powered
Some good conscious soul. Really like papa was a rolling stone but the rest of the album leaves a bit to be desired 6/10 Favourite: Papa Was a Rolling Stone Least Favourite: I Ain't Got Nothing
Some really good songs here and the production is great. But this album feels a bit too long and bloated for me personally. 7/10 Favourite: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Least Favourite:Jamaica Jerk-Off
At one point this was my favourite radiohead album which is now moon shaped pool these 2 albums couldnt be further apart in sound tho. This album has a very consistent tracklist of alt rock, oasis sounding tunes whic h are all really really catchy (seriously these songs get stuck in my head on a daily basis). This also marks where radiohead started taking music a bit more seriously as they were actually get a lot of attention. Its also of course a huge step up from the grating "Pablo Honey". 9/10 Favourite: Street Spirit Least Favourite: (Nice Dream)
a fun but flawed album. feels way too long and the songs dont have much variation to feel like theres a lot of substance here. wasnt a huge fan of this 5/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: What is Love?
Pretty solid blues rock release. could see myself listening to it again. Claptons guitar playing here is as always really good. Songwriting wise its kind of just some typical blues lyrics. 7/10 Favourite: All Your Love Least Favourite: Little Girl
Love the soulful, passionate perfomances here the songwriitng is also great. My only problem is that the second side doesnt feel as unique and doesnt sound as good as a result. Still such a shame that Janis died so young. 7/10 Favourite: Cry Baby Least Favourite: Mercedes Benz
very artsy album with some great production. i havent listened to alot of peter gabriel the little amount of stuff i have heard sounds really good. really like the dark atmosphere here will listen again 8/10 Favourite: Intruder Least Favourite: Lead a Normal Life
Probably one of the weirder albums I've listened on this list. Didn't really expect to sound like it did that being said even though I did enjoy some of these songs I can't really see myself going back to it 6/10 Favourite: Spanish Main Least Favourite: Bad Man
an absolute classic prog rock album. The harmonys and melodies here are so uplifting and enchanting and bring me happiness whenevr i listen to this album. The instrumental perfomances are absolute peak aswell. 9/10 Favourite: Close to the Edge Least Favourite: None
I like music about female empowerment but this album is just kind of boring. There's some good raw emotion here but nothing to keep me coming back 5/10 Favourite: Pick Up Your Feelings Least Favourite: Lost One
Enos last forget into art rock before he became a fully ambient artist is a great sendoff to his older sound. The first side of this record has some really good new wave and post punk stuff like "No One Receiving" and "Kings Lead Hat" and the second side with some very lush and dreamy ambient pop making for a exciting and captivating listen all throughout 9/10 Favourite: King's Lead Hat Least Favourite: None
A fun Latin album I enjoyed most of these songs but I can't see myself listening to this again it's just not something I would usually listen to. 6/10 Favourite: El Cayuco Least Favourite: Mambo Gozón
Since I Left You is an endlessly creative and fun album (from my home country), that admittedly can get a bit too repetitive for my taste but most of this album is just so fun to listen to 8/10 Favourite: Frontier Psychiatrist Least Favourite: Flight Tonight
Absolutely beautiful and conscious album, Ninas voice is as always so beautiful and the songwriting here is ahead of its time 8/10 Favourite: Four Women Least Favourite: If I Should Lose You
My first Alice Cooper album I've heard and enjoyed some their songs before. Overall this album was somewhat enjoyable but I do think theres better hard glam rock out there but still enjoyable 7/10 Favourite: Billion Dollar Babies Least Favourite: Raped and Freezin'
Pretty boring album with not uch variety but i did like the nocturnal atmosphere 5/10 Favourite: Keeping Pigs Together Least Favourite: The Rough and the Quick
Pretty fun thrash metal. Not as good as its contemporarys but i could listen to this again. If youre a fan of thrash metal youll probably emjoy this 7/10 Favourite: Indians Least Favourite:A.D.I. / Horror of It All
A classic soul/hip hop album the only one released by ms Lauryn hill. I do really love lauryns voice and the lyricz and production are really good my only problem is that the album is a bit bloated and gets to be kind of a slog near the end but still definitely worth the listen 8/10 Favourite: Ex-Factor Least Favourite: Forgive Them Father
Jimi's sophomore album is arguably his weirdest album of the 3 it has some of these noise interludes and some pretty eclectic songs. In general I would have to say this is probably my least favourite Hendrix album but it's still really good and definitely fits into his discography. 8/10 Favourite: Spanish Castle Magic Least Favourite: If 6 Was 9
A pretty good country album. I like the humourous approach to songwriting and the guitar playing is nice to listen to but i feel like there are other country albums from the time that are better 7/10 Favourite: Illegal Smile Least Favourite: Far From Me
Not my favourite Zappa related album but still really good I love the songwriting here especially on flower punk. Also really appreciate the musique concrete and sound collage elements here 7/10 Favourite: What's The Ugliest Part of Your Body Least Favourite: Bow Tie Daddy
A fun concept but a lot of the songs here are kind of shallow and dont make for a very interesting listen 6/10 Favourite: School's Out Least Favourite: Gutter Cat Vs. The Jets
Really soulless album which is ironic considering the title. Ceelos voice Is just annoying to listen to and the production is so dated. Also it's worth mentioning ceelo has publicly stated that he thinks it's ok to SA someone if theyre unconscious. 3/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Childz Play
Really like their previous album but this isn't as good imo I like the guitar playing here and some of the orchestral moments but overall id rather listen to the holy bible 7/10 Favourite: No Surface All Feeling Least Favourite: Removables
It took me a few listens to appreciate this album more I did think it was a bit overrated at one point but it think as an album yankee hotel foxtrot is a great experience some of the bands best songs are on here like i am trying to break your heart and Jesus etc definitely wilcos magnum opus 8/10 Favourite: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart Least Favourite: I'm the Man Who Loves You
Pretty decent as far as 90s hip hop goes i just dont see how this stands out from other acts at the time honestly. I found the album to get a bit boring after the first few songs but theres still some good material here definetly 7/10 Favourite: Can It Be All So Simple (Remix) Least Favourite: Spot Rusherz
Some good live blues I generally really like this genre but it just kind of felt more like background music here 6/10 Favourite: Hoochie Coochie Man Least Favourite: I Feel So Good
pretty good as far as beach boys goes. definetly not on the level of pet sounds or surfs up. dont know wht theres 2 minutes of the band just talking about nothing at the end 6/10 Favourite: Do You Wanna Dance Least Favourite: Bull Session With 'Big Daddy'
The vocals are a bit too monotone for me but the writing is pretty good feels a lot like father John misty 6/10 Favourite: Queen of Denmark Least Favourite: Chicken Bones
Liked some of the songs here and the roots heartland rock sound is pretty cool. But I just find rod to be kind of boring as a vocalist and as a songwriter. 6/10 Favourite: Every Picture Tells a Story Least Favourite: Thats All Right
Just sounds like a worse version of Deftones and rhcp and rhcp is already bad so this is somehow a step down from them. Some of the more metal songs are ok but songs like drive are so annoying to listen to 5/10 Favourite: Nowhere Fast Least Favourite: Drive
Pretty good thrash metal. Very accessible for new metal fans but the only gripe is that I feel like this album has influenced a lot of substandard thrash and death metal which are completely inferior compared to this 8/10 Favourite: Raining Blood Least Favourite: Necrophobic
Not bad but not something I would listen to again. I like the atmosphere but the all tommorows parties cover isnt very good 6/10 Favourite: Quiet Life Least Favourite: All Tommorows Parties
Pretty average to be honest I could just be that I'm numb to thrash metal at this point but this album feels really uninspired. Theres a few good songs here and there but nothing to make a cohesive experience 5/10 Favourite: Wake Up Dead Least Favourite: I Ain't Superstitious
I liked the start of the album but I feel like the rest of it doesn't have much substance. Reminded me a lot of pavement and some other slacker rock stuff but I would recommend listening to those instead of this 6/10 Favourite: Sister Least Favourite: Elixir is Zog
Pretty chill album but not much to keep me coming back 5/10 5/10 Favourite: Tantos desejos (So Many Desires) Least Favourite: Um dia comum (em SP) (A Normal Day in São Paulo)
i dont really love the title track here and as a result the rest of the album sounds the same to me and i dont really like it that much either 4/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)
some of the songs are pretty good but it sounds like bruce mightve experimented it bit too much at some points 6/10 Favourite: Lonesome Day Least Favourite: Let's Be Friends (Skin to Skin)
just a dub album that sounds really bored and just like some background music not a huge fan 2/10 Favourite: None Least Favourite: Ride On and Turn the People On
Pretty chill country album. I like grams voice and some of the songwriting here is pretty good e.g. $1000 wedding. But that's pretty much all I've got to say about it. Not bad not great 6/10 Favourite: Grievous Angel Least Favourite: Medley Live From Northern Quebec
Pretty mediocre honestly mostly just covers I like the title track but that's about it 4/10 Favourite: Private Dancer Least Favourite: 1984
Definitely pleasant to listen to but not something that will blow you away 5/10 Favourite: Be Anything But Darling Be Mine Least Favourite: Willow Weep For Me
A classic hip hop album with lots of catchy songs and great performances and production which unfortunately has never properly clicked with me enough to say it's a personal favourite but I do think it deserves the praise it gets 7/10 Favourite: C.R.E.A.M. Least Favourite: Clan in da Front
I personally like the beach boys versions of these songs more as Brians voice at this age doesn't sound as whimsical and sounds more annoying to be honest. But without context this is still a great album. The production and melodies are great. 8/10 Favourite: Heroes & Villains Least Favourite: In Blue Hawaii
I usually like experimental music and I have enjoyed both ornette Coleman and John Zorn but this album just feels kind of like stuff thrown together 5/10 Favourite: Ecars Least Favourite: Chippie
This is honestly a really boring album not much else to say about it 5/10 Favourite: All the Way From Memphis Least Favourite: Drivin' Sister
I can definitely hear some of the industrial influence here which but I honestly didn't really enjoy I think I might enjoy it more in subsequent listens but for now I don't love it 6/10 Favourite: Eyeless Least Favourite: Frail Limb Nursery
i have the same opinion of this album as i do with peace sells, i respect this albums influence and the performance on guitar is admirable but its just not something i enjoy listening to all the time 6/10 Favourite: Holy Wars... The Punishment Due Least Favourite: Take No Prisoners
i really liked this ive been a fan of tim buckleys stuff but havent listened to a full album and was pleasantly suprised by this. tims vocals are very soft and intamate and the atmosphere is very warm and cozy overall a very enjoyable album 9/10 Favourite: Love From Room 109 at The Islander (On Pacific Coast Highway) Least Favourite: Sing a Song for You
i wanted to like this but i find the karens vocals to be kind of annoying and the performances to be very lackluster. i like maps and y control i think theyre deserving of the praise they get but the rest of the album i cant really stand. 5/10 Favourite: Maps Least Favourite: Pin
another slipknot album which sounds a lot less interesting than the first one i reviewed definetly sounds like they lost some of their creative spark here 5/10 Favourite: Gematria (The Killing Name) Least Favourite: Butcher's Hook
i like kraftwerks ethos and influence in experimental electronic music but i dont love listening to them i honestly find their music kind of boring sometimes. i will say that the title track here is really good probably one of my favourite kraftwerk songs but the rest of it just feels like filler 7/10 Favourite: Autobahn Least Favourite: Mitternacht
not as bad as i expected but gets pretty boring towards the end 6/10 Favourite: Honey Least Favourite: The Beautiful Ones
its ok. not really anything very exciting here just another background music album that is for some reason on this list 5/10 Favourite: Rodney Yates Least Favourite: Radio 7
