I Should Coco
SupergrassImagine “They Might be Giants” but British and on Meth ….
Imagine “They Might be Giants” but British and on Meth ….
It was pretty decent. Not something I’d search back out though
Fantastic album. Often overlooked in the Beasties discography, shame too. Reminds me how much we miss MCA …. Plus my favorite Beasties song is on this album - Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun
Paint it Black was the highlight. Musically, I can totally see why people got into the Stones. Until Jagger sings - very easy to listen to. Musically very talented.
It’s not my jam - but it’s honestly not bad.
Not a Lou Reed fan so this was a problem for me.
Not a huge Floyd fan, but Have a Cigar and Wish You Were Here have always been good songs. So pretty easy to listen to this album
He’s obviously very talented. Just not for me. At all.
I’d give zero stars if possible. This was awful
Couldn’t understand it - not in English. The one song I could understand felt like a children’s song. Gave up after that
Very cool album. Fun listen.
Very solid album with some easily recognizable songs.
Very solid album. No need to skip songs. Just let it play.
Classic album. Love Johnny Cash
Fun album. Super short, only 28 minutes long for 12 tracks
Great album. Great background music.
Really enjoyed this. Can’t believe it’s the first time I’ve heard this. Especially since I was in high school in 1992 and this is exactly what I would have listened to
I liked probably a solid 40% of this album and would listen again, but would have no problem skipping some songs
Pretty good for a concept album.
It turns out that I’m not a Sex Pistols fan. Particularly when the one song they’re most famous for you don’t wanna listen to it and you skip it on the album.
There’s a reason why this album has been and always will be a classic.
Great album. Have always been a fan of Becks work. Love that he’s willing to take chances and try new things
Never would be too soon to try and listen to this again
Pretty decent album. Easy to listen to while doing other things
Not for me
Not for me
Largely unimpressed. Just kinda meh
Amazing album. Gem of all the MTV Unplugged albums IMO
Decent album. Very 80s. Very Cure.
Solid album.
Although not a huge Paul Simon fan, I did enjoy this more than I expected. Fun travel into areas not previously explored while paired with Garfunkel.
Great album. Classic Neil Young.
Pretty average album IMO. But I’ve also never been a big Thom Yorke fan
Turns out, I am not a Portiahead fan. Like, at all.
One of my favorite Metallica albums. No songs to skip. Just turn it on, turn it up, and let it go
Audio trainwreck. Couldn’t finish the album.
I’m not a big country fan to begin with. Twangy old school definitely wasn’t for me
Solid album with some of the best guitar playing, between Clapton and Allman, were covered. Put it on, let it play.
Pretty decent stuff. The voice grows on you
Turns out, Tainted Love was their only hit for a reason
Pretty much what you might expect from a Peter Gabriel solo album right after Genesis. Little bit of this, little bit of that, Solsbury Hill.
3 stars out of respect for Joni. She’s just not my jam
I enjoyed this far more than I expected. Very solid album. I’ll definitely get around to this again
This isn’t bad. It’s awful. Ridiculously awful. My ears will never recover
Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it. Pretty decent stuff
Classic album from Simon & Garfunkel. Great background music while at the office or just when you need something you recognize and low key
There’s awful and then there is this. I’d give zero stars if I could. If you’re wondering what a 13 year old with a Casio keyboard making songs with various tempos of the same drum beat sounds like, this is it.
Pretty decent stuff. If you like some of their other stuff, this is a pretty easy listen
Pretty decent stuff. Not a huge Heads fan, but this is a solid album
Pretty great album from a band that’s been horribly underrated. For being a supposed one hit wonder, this album is full of potential hits. Don’t sleep on their take of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man.
Two stars for Temu Duran Duran
I didn’t think I was a Joplin fan. This album makes me think I should be checking out more of her stuff
Lou Reed makes me wish that zero stars was an option
Meh ….
Not for me
Really solid album. Good clean fun
Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t great. The voice annoyed me after a bit. Really didn’t care for their take on “Helter Skelter”
On the surface, great stuff. But after a bit Ashburys voice gets old to me. Can’t really explain it
14 songs. 29 minutes of fun. Sure it’s all basically the same song, just slightly different, but you don’t care. Hey! HO! Let’s Go!
It’s impressive how much awesome he packed into just 9 songs. Not a single song needs to be skipped
Is the band supposed to be warming up for the whole album? Who needs water boarding when this album exists …
3 stars out of respect for what he means to music history. But, not a fan of his stuff
Sadly, I never heard of Elliott Smith before listening to this record. I can assure you that Elliott Smith is now added to my playlists. Excellent album and I’m happy to listen to it again.
If you want to listen to bad 1980s car chase music, then this is the album for you.
Listened to this albums 3 times. So many great songs. Roadhouse sets the tone
Sly is a legend, but I just couldn’t get into this album
Gabriel Genesis is ALWAYS better than Collins Genesis. Love this album
Very solid. Very enjoyable.
Turns out ... I only kinda like Depeche Mode. When other people cover them. Out of respect for their many musical contributions, 3 stars
She has a great voice, but the songs all kind of blend into one another .... the first 10 songs sounded like a europop jam album ..lol. Dont get me wrong, its not bad, at all. But I dont see myself adding this to any playlists
Hard to score it as a 2 star, but it’s pretty rough at spots.
You could argue 5 stars, for sure. This is the album that made GNR … the whole thing is a classic
Turns out I am not a George Michael fan. I just like a few of his songs.
Has some classic songs on it, I can live without the others. Decent album
Couple of good songs. Past that, kinda meh. Nothing bad. Nothing great
Not a big Suzanne Vega fan, but this was nice background music
Live albums are only fun to me if it was a concert I was at or if there was a special version of a song. Kinda 0/2 … but all together not bad
Not a fan of prodigy, but they do have some bangers, and then they have stuff that sounds exactly like their bangers
Pretty decent. I think you’d have to be a bigger Bowie fan than I to think it’s more than decent
Good album. Almost gave it a 4. This Woman’s Work is a phenomenal song and carry’s this album.
Solid album. Lots of known songs. Always loved the bluesy ZZ Top
A whole alb of meh … with a side of no thanks
Musically solid. The lack of English lyrics and the voice is a little annoying Would be good for background music?
Solid. Very easy to see their influence on Metal / Hard Rock for years to come.
I think they made the song “Hot Topic” for the store. That’s not a selling point. Musically, they are solid. That voice is just above fingernails on a chalkboard though
I was unfamiliar with The Go-Betweens before listening to this album. Solid musically and vocally, but I just really never got into it.
Imagine “They Might be Giants” but British and on Meth ….
If you like boringly repetitive beats from a band that all got Casio keyboards when they were 10, then this is the album from you.
I made it through 2 non-shaft songs. Not sure that I will bother with the other two. The lyrics are running out around the 3-1/2 to 4 minute mark and then it’s 7minutes of what I’m pretty sure is 70s porn music.
Very solid album. So much more than “Eileen” and that’s defintely not the best song on the album. Easy 4 stars
Not for me
Sooooo, Hallelujah. Yeah, should have stopped with Hallelujah. That was …… painful
Yes there is War Pigs, Iron Man and Paranoid on this album, but the rest is just as good. Easy 5 stars
It’s a solid album, but nothing special. Novocaine for the Soul is the highlight
Easy 4 stars. Very good album. Great getting paperwork done album. No need to skip
Elvis sucks. That is all. That’s the review.
The Prince album starts off SUPER strong - 1999, Little Red Corvette, and Delirious ... and then kinda sounds like it’s a movie soundtrack for a John Candy movie from the 80's
Great album. I was surprised by how many of the songs I knew. Mr. Blue Sky is probably the most famous of the songs, but it’s a solid listen and I want to get this on vinyl now
Not typically a fan of live albums unless I was there. However, 3 stars for Sam Cooke just being Sam Cooke. Velvet voice. Better album is a greatest hits collection than a live album. IMO
It’s a decent enough album, Wild Horses and Can’t You Hear Me Knocking hold the water … BUT … I was today years old when I paid attention to the lyrics to “Brown Sugar” …. HOLY HELL. That’s about as problematic as it gets
Solid album. Good, but not the best that Sabbath had to offer
Excellent album. Not the best from Zeppelin, but it’s very good. Easy 4 of 5
Easy 5 stars. So many killer songs …. See what I did there??
Hot, hot , hot GARBAGE. Dear lord I wish zero stars was an option.
To be honest, my day was insane and I didn’t get to listen to the lyrics and vocals as much as I would normally …. But ….. this was great background music during a hectic day. I’ll definitely give it another go
Overplayed pop garbage
Some songs were pretty decent and others were just … noise. I dunno. Never found footing with this album
It’s not bad. Just wasn’t for me. Solid 3
I respect Ellington for his influence on music and musicians to come, but I’m not a fan of Jazz or live albums for the most part. At least most live albums if I wasn’t there. This just wasn’t for me
Musically very sound, and kinda catchy. But holy crap …. Charlie Browns teacher is easier to understand. If I could just understand them without having Apple Music lyrics on the screen ….
He’s important to Music, totally get it. But it’s also a lot of the same song over and over again. Gets boring after a bit.
Not the best Petty album, but it showed the promise of what was to come. The older I get, the more I appreciate Pettys music - with or without the Heartbreakers
I’ll be honest - Kate Bush is a legend, but I don’t think this was her greatest work - it’s solid, but not great, and Stranger Things kinda killed the opening track for me. Solid 3 of 5
Amazing album. Honestly listened to this album at least 3 times today. No skips needed.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks
Hot dumpster fire
Very solid album. It’s essentially the Pixies without the rest of the band, which is not a bad then when you’re a Pixies fan. Ole Mullholland was a fun song
Great album, really easy to listen to and enjoy. Use of a marimba was not expected …. Kinda cool. Also, Meg White is criminally underrated as a drummer. She’s more important to the White Stripes sound than people give her credit
Not perfect, but oh so very good. Sounds enough like the Beatles, but yet not the Beatles at the same time. Very enjoyable, no real need for skips
This is the second unimpressive album by this band I’ve gotten. Both rated poorly.
2 stars becuase she’s an icon. Honestly did nothing for me.
Gets a little repetitive after a bit and I went looking for music with lyrics. I think it would be great background music for playing video games though.
Yes? Ummmmm…. No. Not so much
Respect for Aretha. 3 stars
Apparently Yacht Rock is my thing …. Who knew? Steely Dan is not just another fun name grabbed from scifi books …
Great album. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again for every White Stripes album they give me. Meg White is a criminally underrated drummer.
One of my favorite Beatles albums. “In My Life” is always the highlight. I have been mesmerized by that song since I was a teenager, so beautifully written. The rest of the album is no slouch either, quite a few popular Beatles tracks on this album. No skips required.
Tapped out after 4 tracks. Just couldn’t handle the noise … and I’m hard rock / grunge / metal guy
Typically, I only like a handful of Neil Young songs. I found this album to be very enjoyable and easy to listen to.
My favorite AIC album. Laynes voice and his harmonies with Jerry are timeless. In retrospect, some of the lyrics are tough to listen to considering Laynes battles with and eventual loss to addiction.
2 stars. Would have been less without Whipping Post.
It was pretty decent. Not something I’d search back out though
It was pretty decent. Not something I’d search back out though
It was pretty decent. Not something I’d search back out though
Very solid album, lots of good songs. Easy one to put on and listen to
I’m good without ever hearing this again
