Terrible. Every song sounded exactly the same. I knew Raining Blood from playing Guitar Hero back in the day. Thank God the album was short.

It was ok. I knew Spinning Wheel and You’ve Made Me So Very Happy. They had a long jazz piece at the end which I didn’t like. I also didn’t like the main singers voice.
I hate John Fogerty’s voice. I knew Proud Mary, but I much prefer Tina Turner’s version. At least it was short.
Too long. Lost interest. I like the Pixies, but I didn’t like this.
I hated this.

I liked the songs I already knew. The other songs were too long and too many instrument solos.
I am hating this!!!!!!!! Too long! Easy Money is the best song, but that’s not saying a lot. It is easy to work while listening to this in the background. Not distracting.
Obviously a good songwriter. I don’t like his voice. Nothing I ever need to listen to again. No songs stood out.
High and Dry = Good Song I like Radiohead. All the other songs sound similar, but not bad to listen to.
Buy John Wayne Gacy. Like Chicago. Not bad to listen to. I already knew I liked his voice from his Christmas music. Not a fan of the instrumentals. Cohesive album
Not for me! Did not like!!
Has some great songs that I already owned. Everybody Hurts is one of my all time favorite songs. Pleasant listen. Might add Nightswimming to my collection of music.
I hate jazz!! I hate brass especially trumpets! I hate instrumental music! This was not for me!!!!
Not bad. Didn’t hate. I’d heard of the band, but didn’t know any songs. Fine to listen to.
Very repetitive. Reminds me of the song Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes by Paul Simon, but I’m missing the part where he starts singing. I gave it a two instead of one because at least it was not instrumental and I understand it’s importance.
I love The Beach Boys. RIP Brian Wilson. This is definitely not their best album. No songs stick out much. I didn’t know any going in to listening. Still a very pleasant listen.
Probably controversial, but this album was boring!! Good voices, but not fun to listen to.
I love Outkast. Ms. Jackson came out when I was 10 or 11, and I loved it immediately. Aside from the three songs I knew (Ms. Jackson, So Fresh/So Clean, and Bombs Over Baghdad), nothing stood out to me. It got to be kind of long.
Did not like! I knew I wouldn’t.
Fun album. I knew a few songs already. Enjoyable listen.
It was fine. I would’ve liked it more if In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida wasn’t 17 minutes long. I knew that was a long song, but I don’t think I’d ever heard the whole song before. Overall, the album was psychedelic and poppy. Not bad.
I already owned Where the Wild Roses Grow. Interesting album. Much better than the other Nick Cave album I had to listen to. The songs were interesting and I liked the theme of the album.
Too repetitive. They say the same things over and over in the songs.
Really boring. No songs stuck out. I even like a PJ Harvey song, but I didn’t enjoy this.
Torturous at times. I’m not a big fan of dance/electronica. Did not enjoy this.
Sounded like a soundtrack to a movie. When I read about it in my book, that’s what it was going for. I gave it a two instead of a one because it did achieve its goal. It definitely sounded like a movie soundtrack, not one I’d want to see, but a movie soundtrack nonetheless.
It was fine. Nothing spectacular.
I enjoyed this album. I hate Kanye West as a person, but I enjoyed this album. I already owned two songs from it (Power and Runaway).
Boring.
Why would anyone want to listen to this??
By far the best album I’ve listened to so far. Nice short songs. I love Queen. I only knew Killer Queen, but that’s one of my favorite Queen songs.
Too long. I definitely liked The Love Below better than Speakerboxx. I knew three songs.
Pleasant listen. Short songs. Very 60’s.
I enjoyed this album. It was weird but entertaining. I already loved Running Ul That Hill (long before it was used on Stranger Things).
It was fine. I’m not a huge Led Zeppelin fan. Tangerine and That’s the Way were my favorites aside from Immigrant Song which was the only song I knew going in.
Did not enjoy. Too many instrumental parts.
A little redundant. Songs could have been shorter. I knew One going in and that was my favorite song on the album. I did not like The Shortest Straw. They said the same thing over and over.
I enjoyed this album. I already knew I liked the Pixies. I knew two songs (Here Comes Your Man and Monkey Gone to Heaven). Nice short songs.
I love the song Thirteen. I knew that song going in. I had no idea that the theme song to That 70’s Show was a Big Star song. Very enjoyable listen.
Classic. Such a socially conscious album. I knew What’s Going On and Mercy Mercy Me going in.
Great album. Have listened to the whole album before and would listen to the whole album again. I love Wouldn’t It Be Nice and God Only Knows.
Why did I need to listen to this? Terrible voice, not fun to listen to.
It was fine. I only knew Money going in. There were too many instrumental parts. I liked the singing parts.
I have never been a fan of the Eagles. I knew Take It Easy and Witchy Woman going in. It was better than a lot of the crap I’ve had to listen to.
Fun album. I’ve always liked the Ramones because my sister did. I knew Blitzkrieg Bop, Beat on the Brat, and I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend going in. Nice short entertaining songs.
It was fine. It was a typical indie rock album. No songs stood out though.
I liked this album. For some reason it was not on Spotify, so I had to search for the songs. Very British. I knew Our House going in.
I have never liked the song Hotel California which was the only song I knew on the album and the best song on the album. A couple other songs sounded familiar, but I didn’t know them. I was just waiting for this album to end.
I actually like a couple Portishead songs from the 90’s when they were actually relevant. This was not a fun album to listen to. I didn’t like it.
This is one of my favorite Beatles albums. I love so many of the songs on this album.
It was fine. It was a little long. I knew London Calling and Train in Vain going in. I also liked the song Lost in the Supermarket.
I’m not a big fan of reggae. I only knew No Woman, No Cry going in. I didn’t hate this album. It was better than I thought it would be.
I did not think I was going to like this, but I did. It sounds a lot like a lot of the things I like to listen to.
I’ve never been a fan of Tears for Fears although I do like Head Over Heels. I think Everybody Wants to Rule the World is one of the most overplayed 80’s songs. This album was very 80’s. I also knew the song Shout.
It was ok. I knew and liked Do You Realize?. There were a couple instrumental pieces that I didn’t not like.
One hour and 45 minutes of pure torture for me. I do not like jazz. It all sounded the same. I know Miles Davis is good at what he does; it’s just not for me.
RIP Ozzy! That one was hard for me! I love Ozzy’s voice. I love the song Changes. In fact the version he did with Kelly was the first song I ever bought on iTunes when I got my first iPod in 2007! I didn’t know any of the other songs.
I really like Neil Young’s voice. It was a pleasant listen. I only knew My My Hey Hey.
It was entertaining. I lost the plot a little in the middle. I knew Pinball Wizard going in. I wouldn’t listen to the whole album again, but I’m glad I heard it.
I have never like Linkin Park. I don’t understand why I needed to listen to this. I only knew In the End.
Too long. Lost interest. I like the Pixies, but I didn’t like this.
Very pleasant listen. Easy to listen to. Good background music.
I had never heard of this band and I think I could’ve lived without ever hearing this band. Not my style of music. The songs were long and had too many instrument solos.
It was fine. I didn’t know any of the songs.
I have loved the song Lovefool since I was a kid. I didn’t know any of the other songs on the album. There was a weird cover of Iron Man though. I like her voice and it sounds like a lot of things I listen to.
Enjoyable listen. I knew and loved White Winter Hymnal. That was the only song I knew on this album, but I know other songs by this band. This is very much my style of music.
I love The White Stripes. I only knew 4 songs on this album, but it had my favorite White Stripes song (We’re Going to be Friends). I liked all the songs on the album. This is my kind of music.
I’m much more familiar with their disco era. I feel they were trying to sound very Beatlesque in this album. I never thought I’d say this, but I think they sound much better with their falsettos. I only knew How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.
Good album. I knew a few songs.
I don’t like Perry Farrell’s voice. I only knew Jane Says. This was not for me.
No, just no.
It was ok. I agree with the quote from Juno that Sonic Youth is just noise aside from their cover of Superstar.
I know I should like Bob Marley and reggae, but I just don’t. It’s not terrible, but it’s not something that I would want to listen to again.
I don’t like Kings of Leon. I didn’t enjoy this.
I knew and liked Le Freak and I Want Your Love. There were too many instrumental parts which as I’ve previously stated in past reviews I am not a fan of.
It was fine. I didn’t hate it and I didn’t love it. It was an easy listen.
Your standard indie rock album. Not terrible, not great. The lead singers voice is very similar to other indie rock singers. I’ve never heard of this band before.
I only knew and liked one song The Rain. It was long and not my favorite. It was fine.
Anyone who knows me knows I hate country music. I do like some old country like Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. This old country was too country-y for me. Didn’t like.
Very pleasant listen. I love Paul Simon’s voice. I only knew one song going in (Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard).
It was fine. It used some good samples. I didn’t know any songs. The only Cypress Hill song I know is Insane in the Membrane which wasn’t on this album.
This was not what I was expecting. When I saw how long the songs were, I expected this to be jazz, but it was definitely not jazz. I don’t even know what to call this except weird. It was very experimental and got weirder and weirder as it went on. I was going to give it 2 stars until I got to the second to last song where it went off the rails.
I always think of Rush as being pretty corny. Rush does remind me of my favorite TV show of all time (Freaks and Geeks) and one of the funniest movies I’ve seen (I Love You, Man) both starring Jason Segel. I knew a couple of songs on this album (Tom Sawyer and Limelight). It was fine, but some of the songs were too long.
Boring. Never heard of this band before. Some of the songs were fine. Nothing I’d want to hear again.
The only song I knew was Shining Star which just makes me think of Elaine dancing on Seinfeld! That was really the only song I enjoyed. Some of the songs were long which is never a good thing in my book.
I knew 2 songs on the album (The Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills). This was not for me. I don’t like Bruce Dickinson’s voice.
I was excited that I got a Rolling Stones album, but I did not like this. It was The Rolling Stones trying to sound country. Not for me. I only recognized one song on the album (Shake Your Hips) and I only knew that from a cover that was in one of my Zumba Wii games. I was surprised I didn’t know any other songs because I’ve heard of this album before.
Very pleasant. I like their voices. I knew Love Hurts and Cathy’s Clown. Easy, enjoyable listen.
Pure torture.
Not for me. I’d heard of the song Unfinished Sympathy before, but I didn’t like it. It’s just not my genre of music.
I’d heard of William Orbit before because he wrote/produced a ton of hit songs. He did not write himself any hits. This was terrible. So boring. It was mostly instrumental. I was tuning it out because it was so quiet and boring.
It was fine. I’m just not a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I knew and liked Kashmir, but that was the only song I knew.
I had never heard of Jungle Brothers. I was expecting not to like this, but I really enjoyed this. Good old school hip hop with good beats and samples. I’ve discovered through this that I like hip hop a lot more than I thought I did.
I like the Talking Heads. I didn’t know any songs on this album. It was fine. It sounded like the Talking Heads.
WTF is this crap!!
It was fine. Not my favorite type of hip hop, but some of the songs were entertaining. I knew C.R.E.A.M.
It was fine. I knew Strange Brew and Sunshine of Your Love.
Noisy. Not fun to listen to. The singer’s voice was fine. I just didn’t like the music. All the songs sounded the same. I feel like they were trying to sound like Fleet Foxes, Vampire Weekend, and MGMT, but they were nowhere near as good as those bands.
Boring. A lot of it sounded the same. I know a couple Jamiroquai songs, but they weren’t on this album.
I owned this CD when I was little. I have always like TLC. I’m not sure if I ever listened to the whole album before though. I’m sure I did, but probably only once or twice. I tended to just listen to the songs I liked. I knew quite a few songs on here though.
I’ve liked Bitter Sweet Symphony since it came out in 1997. I always liked the music video. I also love the song The Drugs Don’t Work. Overall, it was good.
Why more jazz?? At least this didn’t have any brass in it. It was more piano and drums.
By far my favorite Adele album. I listened to this over and over again in 2011. I love almost every song on it. I especially love Someone Like You.
Sounded like all of the other Led Zeppelin albums I’ve had to listen to. I only knew Whole Lotta Love.
Too long. I’m not a fan of live albums or Peter Frampton. I only knew the song Baby I love Your Way.
Not for me!! I did not enjoy this.
I love this album!! I own this on vinyl. I love Nirvana, and this is my favorite album of theirs.
I really like the Smashing Pumpkins. This isn’t my favorite album of theirs though. I love the song Today, and I really like the songs Cherub Rock and Disarm.
I didn’t hate this quite as much as I thought I would. It started out decent and then I swear his voice got worse with each and every song. I’ve always hated his voice though.
It was easy to listen to. It’s just Willie Nelson singing cover songs. I think most of these songs have been done better by other people though.
It was fine. I like Marc Bolan’s voice. I knew Bang a Gong. I liked the song Cosmic Dancer.
The same sounds over and over again on repeat for over an hour. Ugh!! So bad!!
Not my genre of music. I know he is supposed to be a great guitarist, but this just wasn’t for me.
It was fine. I feel like I’d heard a couple of the songs before.
I was surprised, but I really did not enjoy this. I only knew Riders on the Storm. I love a Doors song (People are Strange), but I did not like Jim Morrison’s voice on this album.
Boring! Forgettable. I have heard of the song Alone Again Or. Wasn't the worst, but certainly wasn’t great.
I would’ve rather listened to a Sex Pistols album. I didn’t like this. It was just noise.
I really like The Cure, but I did not know any songs on this album. I did not think any of the songs were particularly good. I like Robert Smith’s voice though.
I’m not a fan of Motörhead or live albums. I knew Ace of Spades, but I don’t like Lenny’s voice.
Corny. The songs were too long. They weren’t terrible, but it wasn’t for me.
It was fine. I liked it better than later Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs. I knew the song Heads Will Roll. I’ve never been a big fan of this band.
It was fine, not great. I knew Money for Nothing and Walk of Life. I never knew Money for Nothing had a terrible gay slur in it though. I don’t think I had ever heard the whole song before. The songs were too long.
Terrible. Every song sounded exactly the same. I knew Raining Blood from playing Guitar Hero back in the day. Thank God the album was short.
I would’ve rather listened to five Slayer albums in a row.
Of all the jazz I’ve had to listen to, this has been the best. Some of it had melodies and the songs were short. It was also more upbeat. It was much better than the Indian music I had to listen to yesterday.
I knew all but 4 songs on this album. It was good.
I don’t know why I had to listen to a one hit wonder’s album. I knew Brimful of Asha. I never realized they were Indian before now.
Terrible. It was only four songs, and it was too long.
Not my favorite Michael Jackson album. I have always liked Michael though. I only knew Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Rock With You, and She’s Out of My Life. This album was a little too disco-y for my taste.
I don’t know why I needed to listen to this. Very 70’s. Very forgettable.
I of course knew More Than a Feeling and I recognized a couple others. This is the type of music I don’t enjoy. I throw this band in with Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Journey as music that is tolerable, but that I don’t ever need to hear again.
My favorite Prince song is Little Red Corvette. It always has been and always will be. I also like 1999. Other than that, I didn’t know any other songs on this album. It was a little long. None of the songs stood out to me, but it was much better than a lot of stuff I’ve had to listen to.
Boring. Long. I didn’t think Elvis Costello was even still relevant in the 90s.
I, of course, knew Smoke on the Water. I didn’t like this album. It was not for me.
Boring. Long. Just wanted it over with.
I knew Time After Time, She-Bop, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and All Through the Night. It was fine. Very poppy.
It was fine. It was very 60s-ish. It was very forgettable.
There were two bands in the 90’s with crows in the name and I don’t know which one I hated more. Based on this album, I hate The Black Crowes more. I knew Hard to Handle, but the original by Otis Redding is much better. I had also heard She Talks to Angels before.
I only knew Tiny Dancer or as Phoebe said in Friends, “Hold me closer Tony Danza.” It was fine. I’m not the biggest Elton John fan, but I don’t hate him.
Boring. That is all.
This is one of my favorite Taylor Swift albums. I own it on vinyl. I especially love the songs Out of the Woods, Wildest Dreams, Clean, and I Know Places.
Knew it was Nick Cave’s voice right away. I did not like it.
I am not a huge fan of Arcade Fire, but I forgot that I liked a few songs on this album. I recognized way more songs than I thought I would.
This is my brother-in-law’s kind of music. Not for me. Mainly girls yelling. No thanks!
I knew and liked Wish You Were Here. I didn’t like any of the other songs. They were way too long. It took almost 9 minutes for someone to sing in one of the songs. Not for me.
I feel like I shouldn’t have liked this, but I actually knew and liked 3 songs. I didn’t like the rest. I knew Tuesday’s Gone, Simple Man, and Free Bird.
This was terrible. Worse than jazz. It was over an hour of electronic torture.
I liked this way more than I thought I would because I thought I would hate it. I knew the song Rise Above because it was featured in my favorite TV show, Freaks and Geeks. The songs were short, the lyrics were understandable, and the album was short.
I enjoyed this. I already knew and liked the songs Straight Outta Compton, F Tha Police, and Express Yourself. The songs were entertaining.
It was ok. Nothing too special. I knew Papa Was a Rolling Stone, but I never knew it was 9 minutes long. I also knew the song First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, but I didn’t know their version.
Did I ever need to hear Jumpin Jack Flash and Light My Fire played on the sitar? No, I did not, but now I have. This was better than the Ravi Shankar album though because it was more than just the sitar. You know I don’t like instrumentals though.
I liked this a lot. This is some of my favorite kind of music - very British. I love when singers have thick British accents when they sing. I already knew 3 songs from this, but I liked them all. This is very similar to some of my favorite bands at the time - The View, The Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys.
I knew and like take Five, but I absolutely hated the rest.
I like and own Clint Eastwood, but I didn’t enjoy the rest all that much.
I liked this. I knew and liked Graceland and Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes. I own and love You Can Call Me Al.
I knew Runnin’ With the Devil and You Really Got Me, but I obviously like The Kinks better. I also felt like I had heard a couple of the other songs before. I liked it.
I love Northern Sky, but the rest all kind of sounded the same. It was pleasant but boring.
This was not what I was expecting. Half of it was good, half of it was not. One of the singers had a good voice, the other did not.
This was horrible. It was the first time that I quit an album halfway through. I listened to the whole first disc which was over an hour. There was no way I was listening to another hour of this. It was repetitive electronic music. Ugh!!
Boring. I’d heard Allison before. It was fine I guess
It was pleasant. I, of course, know her version of Respect which I like. I also knew I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You.
It was fine. I knew A Woman’s Work. I like her weird voice.
I hated this.
I know and like Sexy Boy. The rest was boring.
It was fine. Your typical indie album. I never need to hear it again.
Not for me. Good for its genre. I just don’t enjoy that genre. It didn’t help that I had a headache while I listened to it.
Loved. I love Simon & Garfunkel. Bookends is one of my favorite songs of theirs. I also love America. I also knew and liked Mrs. Robinson and Hazy Shade of Winter.
Boring. Not a fan of his voice.
I own and love Two Weeks, but other than that the album was pretty boring.
It was fine. Very British. Kind of boring.
I did not like this. It was not for me.
I didn’t know any of the songs. I like the Talking Heads though. Kind of boring.
It was fine. It was good for its genre. The songs were short which was nice.
I knew Bad Moon Rising. I don’t like John Fogerty’s voice. It was nice and short though.
I’ve never been a big fan of The Police or Sting. His voice gets to be a little grating after awhile. I, of course, knew Every Breath You Take. I did enjoy this much more than a lot of the albums I’ve had to listen to recently.
It was ok. I didn’t know any songs on this. I do know and like some New Order songs. It was a little too 80’s for me though.
It was ok. I knew Spinning Wheel and You’ve Made Me So Very Happy. They had a long jazz piece at the end which I didn’t like. I also didn’t like the main singers voice.
Two Police albums in one week. Again, it was fine. I knew Message in a Bottle mainly because I played it a million times on Guitar Hero back in the day. I also knew Walking on the Moon.
I really like The Replacements. I Will Dare is my favorite of their songs. Funnily enough, just yesterday a new music video for I Will Dare was released and a band that I’ve seen about 8 times, The Shackletons, are in it. I also really like the song Androgynous.
I like The Kinks. I didn’t know any songs on this. It was fine. There are definitely better Kinks albums in my opinion.
I do not like Kanye as a person, but I do like some of his music. I knew All Falls Down, Jesus Walks, Slow Jamz, and Through the Wire.
Did not like. Country and weirdly religious. They had a cover of Where Did You Sleep Last Night, but it was nowhere near as good as Nirvana’s cover.
Ok. Kind of long. I only knew Mama Said Knock You Out. I liked the song Illegal Search.
It was good. I knew Girls & Boys and Parklife. Very British which I liked
Loved! I love Bohemian Rhapsody and Love of My Life. I really like You’re my Best Friend. I enjoyed the whole album.
Pleasant listen. Very folky. I recognized a couple songs.
I don’t understand why I needed to listen to listen. It sounded like late 90’s hard rock which is not a genre I particularly like. I knew Drive and Pardon Me.
So boring. It all sounded the same.
I’m not a big fan of Liz Phair. The only song I’ve ever really liked of hers was her song from the early 2000’s called Why Can’t I, which everyone called her sell out song. I only knew Never Said on this album. The songs were short, but there were a lot of songs.
The was better than the other New Order album I listened to. I knew Elegia.
Ok. Very British. I knew Common People.
I’m not gonna lie; I’ve never been a huge fan of Duran Duran. Sorry Theresa!! I knew Rio and Hungry Like the Wolf. I also felt like I’d heard Save a Prayer before. I thought all the songs kind of sounded the same except for The Chauffeur which I liked. Simon Le Bon has a very distinctive voice though.
I’m not a big fan of dance music. I knew and like Connected, but I didn’t like anything else.
Ok. Very 80’s hip hop. The songs were too long and too repetitive though. I had heard Planet Rock before.
Great! I love The Beatles. For No One and Here, There, and Everywhere are two of my favorite Beatles songs. I love a lot more on this album though.
Did not like. Just noise.
I liked this. I love and own I Wanna Be Adored. I’d heard of a few of the other songs as well. This is my style of music. They influenced a lot of the bands I like.
Boring. Too long. Didn’t like.
It was ok. Really long. I knew and liked Alright, but I’m just not a huge fan of Kendrick Lamar. I don’t get the hype.
I hate John Fogerty’s voice. I knew Proud Mary, but I much prefer Tina Turner’s version. At least it was short.
Very 80’s, which is not necessarily a good thing. I, of course, knew and liked Don’t You Want Me, but I didn’t particularly like anything else.
I liked this. It had quite a few songs that I know on it. My favorite Elton John song is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. It was a long album though and I really only liked the songs I already knew.
This is not for me. Did not enjoy. At least it was only 30 minutes long.
I love a Buffalo Springfield song, For What It’s Worth, but it was not on this album. I found this pretty forgettable, but it was short.
I really like The Smiths, but I wasn’t very familiar with the songs on this album. I feel like I’ve heard a few of them before, but they aren’t ones I like to listen to. Overall, I still liked it though.
Noisy and all the songs sounded the same.
It was fine. Very British. Too much talking over music rather than singing though. Never heard of this band before.
Not the worst and certainly not the best hip hop I’ve had to listen to. It was long. I did like the song Thin Line though
Too long. I didn’t know any of the songs. I liked Minesoter because it mentioned Minnesota a lot. Long instrumental sections = yuck! Boring, dour songs. It didn’t have the one Dandy Warhol song I like on it (Bohemian Like You). I thought I would like this more than I did.
I could tell from the first 30 seconds of the first song that I was going to hate this. I like hip hop, but this was unremarkable hip hop.
It was pleasant. I didn’t know any songs except Waterloo Sunset which I like. Nice, short songs.
Pretty good. I liked some songs and I didn’t like others. I knew a few songs. I prefer 60’s Dylan to later Dylan.
He has a really pretty voice. Very easy to listen to. I’d heard Between the Bars before.
Too long. I’m not a fan of live albums, but he sounded pretty much the same live as he does on regular albums. I knew Like a Rolling Stone and Mr. Tambourine Man.
It was fine. I recognized a few songs. I like Jimi Hendrix, but I’m not a huge fan of his.
Not for me! I knew Breakin’ the Law which was fine, but I didn’t like anything else.
It was ok. I do like some Rod Stewart songs, but I didn’t know any on this and none of them stood out.
It was entertaining. I knew four songs on it. Eminem, whom I love, featured on 2 songs. It was a little long, but it was still ok.
This was ok. I knew Rockefeller Skank and Praise You. They make me think of the late 90’s. The songs were too long.
Typical punk - loud, short songs, all sound the same. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard, but it wasn’t good.
Prog Rock = torture. The songs were all either extremely long or instrumentals. This was so not for me!!
I’m not a huge fan of early rock and roll. I knew Blueberry Hill. It was fine. It was nice and short, but nothing great in my opinion.
I’ve never understood the hype of Lauryn Hill. It’s fine I guess but nothing spectacular. I knew Doo Wop (That Thing) and Everything is Everything. I didn’t like any of the other songs.
This was ok. I only knew Come On Eileen because I consider this band to be a one hit wonder. I didn’t mind this although it got to be a little long.
I hate the song Fast Car!! I hated it before Luke Combs did it, but since he did I hate it a million times more. Every time I’d hear the first few notes of the song on the radio, I’d immediately turn it off. I had to listen to it today. Ugh! I don’t like Tracy Chapman’s voice. I know her songs tell good stories and have meaning, but I can’t get past her voice.
This was ok. I love the song Pale Blue Eyes. I like Lou Reed’s voice.
I did not like the main singers voice. This was going to be a one star album until the song sung by Rufus Wainwright (whom I don’t particularly like, but like a lot more than the main singers voice) and the talking part done by Lou Reed.
You know I hate jazz, but at least this had a beat and somewhat of a melody. It wasn’t discordant notes all over the place and the songs didn’t last a million years.
Loved!! I’ve owned this album since I was in high school. I loved singing all these songs. I sang a bunch of them at Karaoke at a family reunion back in the day. I didn’t want this album to end!
I love Elvis’ version of Blue Moon. I always have it on my Halloween playlist because I think it sounds spooky. I’m not a huge Elvis fan. I like a few of his songs. This was fine.
This was boring. Her voice was fine, but boring. I don’t understand why it’s on this list. It’s nothing remarkable.
Boring. I knew one song (Movin’ on Up) and recognized another. I’m just not into dance music.
I own and like 6 U2 songs. 2 of them were on this album (I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and With or Without You). Other than those two, I wasn’t super impressed by anything else on the album. It wasn’t bad though.
I knew a few songs in this. It was good. I like Shirley Manson’s voice and I’m always nostalgic for the 90’s.
Good samples! I didn’t know any songs on here except for the part of Hey Ladies where they say Hey Ladies. I like the Beastie Boys. I think they have clever lyrics.
I really like The Cure, but some of their songs are too long. I knew and/or owned a few songs on this album (Pictures of You, Lovesong, and Lullaby). I really like those songs. I would’ve enjoyed this more had the intros to many songs not been 2-3 minutes long. Just start singing already, I want to hear Robert Smith’s voice.
Weird R&B/Hip Hop. The songs were all very short. Some were 30 seconds long. Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, and others featured on it. I never need to listen to any of it again, but it wasn’t horrible.
I did not like this. I’ve heard of LCD Soundsystem. I even think I own a Christmas song by them, but this was horrible. Long songs, no real melodies, electronic sounds, and a lot of repeating of lyrics. The last song on the album was ok though.
I knew Song 2 and Beetlebum. I like Brit Pop, but Blur has never been one of my favorites in that genre.
The songs were too long. It’s not my favorite genre.
I hate Kid Rock, but I am always nostalgic for the 90’s. I knew three songs on the album. One of them I swear I haven’t heard since prob 1999, and I remembered half the lyrics.
Terrible. Need I say more.
Boring. Long songs. I knew Jesus, Etc.
I only knew The Humpty Dance. Not my favorite hip hop album. The lyrics were overly sexual and misogynistic.
I knew Cinnamon Girl. I like Neil Young’s voice, but some of these songs were really long.
Weird. Very 60’s. Didn’t like the singer’s voice.
Not a fan of live albums. Luckily the singer sounded good live. The album was long. I knew Jailbreak and The Boys are Back in Town.
Didn’t like. Nothing interesting. The album wasn’t on Spotify and I couldn’t even find all the songs on YouTube.
Fine. Boring. I didn’t hate it or love it. I know one song by her, but it was not on this album.
Very easy to listen to. I love Ella’s voice. It was an extremely long album, but it was not hard to listen to at all. I knew Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off and Someone to Watch Over Me.
I really liked this. This has my favorite David Bowie on it - Life on Mars? I also knew Changes.
Loved. I love Nirvana. I owned/knew a lot of these songs. I liked all the songs I didn’t know too.
I love Otis Redding. I love I’ve Been Loving You Too Long and his version of A Change is Gonna Come. I liked his covers on this album too. I just love his voice!
I own almost all the songs on this album. It’s my second favorite Adele album after 21. I especially love the song Million Years Ago.
Terrible!! I hated this. I knew I would get a bad one because I’ve had so many good ones in a row. I knew Jesus Built My Hotrod.
I knew Killing in the Name. Many of the songs sound the same. It wasn’t terrible, but I didn’t like it.
I knew You Are the Sunshine of my Life and Superstition. I’m not a huge Stevie Wonder fan. His voice is good; it’s just not a style of music that I listen to a lot. I know he is good. I just don’t love it.
Very British rap music. The album told a story that was sort of entertaining. I’m not a fan of British rap though.
I knew Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, and Beth. It was nice and short. Wasn’t terrible.
Terrible! I hated this. 41 minutes and only 4 instrumental songs! Ugh!
Not for me. I found this boring. I knew Layla. I prefer the unplugged version from my childhood. I much prefer Eric Clapton solo.
I don’t understand why I have to listen to another album by a one hit wonder band when it doesn’t even have the one hit on it. It was fine, but it is nothing I ever have to hear again.
I own and really like the song Band on the Run. I didn’t know any of the other songs on this album. I like Paul McCartney’s voice although he is not my favorite Beatle. It was enjoyable.
I know David Bowie wrote this when he knew he was dying, but this was not my favorite. The songs were long. I’d heard Lazarus before. It wasn’t terrible though.
I did not like this. This is not my style of music at all.
Nothing will ever get me to like jazz. I hate brass instruments, but I especially hate the trumpet. The trumpet hurt my ears in the last song. I did not enjoy this.
I knew most of the songs on this album. I owned quite a few of the songs. My favorite Coldplay song, Shiver, is on this album. I own Yellow, Shiver, We Never Change, and Trouble. I’ve heard a couple of the other songs before as well.
It was nice and short. All of the songs kind of blended together. I found it quite boring. I only knew Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. I just don’t like country music.
This was not for me. I know and own Pour Some Sugar On Me. I recognized Animal and Hysteria. I did not like Joe Elliot’s voice.
It was fine. I know Queen Latifah, but I really don’t know any of her songs. It had a couple of good samples. It got to be a little long though. She raps well.
I enjoyed this. I knew three songs. I knew Gotta Get Up from the show Russian Doll. They played the start of that song about a thousand times in that show. I knew Without You which I think is a pretty song. I also knew Coconut which just made me want to watch Practical Magic.
Boring. Long. I’ve never been a fan of The Flaming Lips.
It was fine. Nothing I ever need to hear again. There’s much better Indie Rock music out there. It was kind of boring.
I do not enjoy Sonic Youth at all. I just wanted this album to be over and it was almost an hour long. I especially dislike Kim Gordon’s voice.
I’ve owned this CD since I was 12, but I’m not sure that I ever listened to the whole thing. I only knew 4 songs on it (Don’t Know Why, Seven Years, Come Away With Me, and Turn Me On). I used to like to sing all of those songs though. I definitely chose all the best songs on this album. None of the other songs really stood out to me.
I didn’t know any songs on this. I just don’t get the hype of Led Zeppelin.
Boring. I only knew Sultans of Swing. I’m not a big fan of Mark Knopfler’s voice.
Love!! I own this whole album. It’s one of my favorite Beatles albums. I particularly love Something and Because. I also love the end of the album when all of the songs blend together.
Nothing to write home about. Very British. Kinda boring.
Decent. I liked the lead singer’s voice. I owned a cover of a song on this album (Four Seasons in One Day by the lead singer of The View). I didn’t even know that was a Crowded House song.
Of all the Leonard Cohen I’ve had to listen to, this was by far the best. His voice was much better when he was younger. I knew Suzanne. I’m still not a fan though.
I have heard of Television, but I don’t know any of their songs. This was fine. The songs were really long though.
Terrible! Long instrumental songs. One of the songs featured a cow mooing and farting noises. Why would anyone want to listen to that?
This was pretty much all instrumental, but I didn’t hate it because it was the score to a movie. I saw that movie a long time ago, so I sort of recognized some of it. The music was fine.
I knew Break on Through (To the Other Side), Light My Fire, and The End. I liked the song Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar). I didn’t like how long some of the songs were, but they were the songs I knew which made it not as bad. I enjoyed this.
Did not enjoy. I’m not a fan of Bossa Nova.
I thought maybe there wouldn’t be any country music in this list. I was wrong. I hated this.
It was fine. The album was long though. I recognized Feelin’ Alright.
I liked this. I didn’t know any songs on here, but I do know a couple songs by them. Very 90’s, which I love.
Not for me. Not terrible though. Nothing I ever need to hear again.
I absolutely hated this. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
This was a lot better than the other Steely Dan album I had to listen to. I still didn’t like it though. This gets 2 stars instead of 1 star. I knew Reelin’ in the Years, and I had heard Do It Again before.
Too long. Songs were long. I only knew Rainy Day Women #12 and 35 and that was the first song on the album which was over an hour long. It just went on for too long.
I don’t understand why I had to listen to this. Couldn’t I just listen to the Beach Boys? That would’ve been much better.
Aside from Brian Eno being a NYT crossword puzzle clue almost daily and the title of an MGMT song, I don’t know anything about Brian Eno. I now know I’m not a fan. This wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard, but I don’t want to hear it again.
I don’t know anything on this. It was fine I guess.
I knew and don’t hate Solsbury Hill. I didn’t like anything else though. I would take Peter Gabriel over Phil Collin’s or Genesis though.
Very early 90’s hip hop. I’ve definitely heard of A Tribe Called Quest, but I don’t really know a lot of their songs. I had heard the last song on the album, Scenario, before. I liked it, but nothing really stood out. They had some interesting pop cultures in their songs. Their rapping is very clear and you can hear/understand all the lyrics.
I listened to the UK version because it had my favorite Rolling Stones song on it, Mother’s Little Helper, which wasn’t on the US version. The US version had Paint It Black though, which is my second favorite Rolling Stones song. The only other song I knew was Under My Thumb which I like. I wasn’t a fan of the rest of the album.
I know Cee Lo Green, but I didn’t know any songs on here. It was fine, but it was a long album. He had a lot of people featured on his songs that I know.
I only knew one song on this which was Izzo (H.O.V.A.). I liked this. He had a song with Eminem on it which was good. I always think hip hop albums are just a little too long though. This was a little over an hour.
I liked this. This was mainly covers with a couple of his own songs. His cover of Hurt is my favorite Johnny Cash song and one of my favorite songs of all time. One of my only exceptions to hating country music is that I do like Johnny Cash.
I really liked this. I knew Scarborough Fair and Homeward Bound. I liked their Silent Night with the news in the background. I really liked their Silent their voices. I also liked how short this album was - less than 30 minutes.
I didn’t like this. I’m not a fan of British dance music.
I own and love the song Criminal. I’ve loved that song since this album came out. I also know and like Sleep to Dream and Shadowboxer. The rest of the songs were all pretty boring. They all kind of sound the same.
It was fine except for the instrumental parts. I knew Jump, Jive, and Wail. It reminded me of The Jungle Book.
It was ok. I don’t know this band. I liked the song We Will Not Be Lovers. The songs were all a little long though.
I didn’t know any songs on this. I really only know one Aimee Mann song and one ‘Til Tuesday song. I like her voice, it the songs were kind of boring. I liked 4th Of July the best.
I did not enjoy this. I knew the theme from Shaft. The rest was mostly instrumental which I don’t like, and one song was 15 minutes long!! Ugh!
It was ok. Not my genre. I knew That Lady. I also knew a couple of other songs on the album but not their versions of them. It was pretty short which was nice.
I hated this. Noisy. Bad singing. Not good!
I hated this. It wasn’t on Spotify or Apple Music, so I had to listen to it on YouTube, which is annoying. I just wanted it to be over.
I knew more songs on this than I thought I would. I knew Good Times Roll, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Just What I Needed. I also recognized Moving in Stereo from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I liked this.
WTF did I just listen to? Seriously, go listen to this. Why was it on this list???? Why was it so long???? It wasn’t even on Spotify or Apple Music.
I love their version of Tainted Love, but that was pretty much the extent of it. I kind of liked the last song on the album - Say Hello, Wave Goodbye. The rest of the songs were kind of odd. One song was called Sex Dwarf.
Boring. Very forgettable
I love all of The Beatles albums, but this definitely isn't one of my favorites. I own it on vinyl. My favorite songs on this album are Norwegian Wood, Girl, In My Life, and Run For Your Life. The only song I didn't know was What Goes On. I knew all of the other songs. Any Beatles albums are going to automatically be 5 stars.
I saw ZZ Top at Ashley for the Arts last year, but I am not a fan. It’s not my style of music and I don’t like the singer’s voice. I knew La Grange, but I don’t like the song.
I know and own Connection. I didn’t know any other songs on this. It was fine. I didn’t love any of the other songs. It was fine background music. Never need to hear it again.
I knew I Feel the Earth Move, It's Too Late, You've Got a Friend, Will You Love Me Tomorrow?, and (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman. I also, of course, knew Where You Lead because it's the theme song to Gilmore Girls. This was pleasant. I think Carole King is a very good songwriter, but she isn't my favorite singer.
Terrible. Sounds like something I’d hear at Midwest Music Fest. Loud, long songs, a lot of just instruments playing. I hated it.
This was pleasant. I knew Chain of Fools and (You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman. I also knew the songs People Get Ready and Groovin’, but I didn’t know her versions of them.
Why have I had to listen to THREE albums by a one hit wonder band? They are a one hit wonder for a reason. There was a lot of talking on this album weirdly. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but I never want to hear it again.
It was fine. A little long (an hour). I only knew Sabotage. It was entertaining enough though.
It was fine. I knew Jump, Panama, and Hot for Teacher. Weirdly, I dreamt about the song Panama last night. I barely know that song and it was on my album today. So weird!!
I know and own the song Let’s Stay Together. I also knew the song How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, but I don’t know if I know his version of it or not. It was short, but none of the other songs stood out.
I know and own Ready or Not and Killing Me Softly With His Song. I really liked their version of Killing Me Softly when it came out. They had good pop culture references in their songs. They also used some good samples. The album was a little long though. It kept my interest though.
I actually like some Bjork songs from the 90’s. I absolutely hated this. It was a lot of noises, moaning, and bad singing. Everything was super slow and boring.
I thought I only knew one Joy Division song, Love Will Tear Us Apart, which wasn’t on this album. I knew one on this album, Shadowplay, but I had no idea it was a Joy Division song because I have it as a cover by The Killers. The album was fine.
It started out ok, but it got really loud at the end. I didn’t like that. This is the second album I’ve had by this band and I don’t hate either of them. The other album was better though.
I really like the Arctic Monkeys. I’m not as familiar with this album as some of their later ones, but I knew a few songs on this (I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, Mardy Bum, and When the Sun Goes Down). I really like Alex Turner’s voice. I love when singers have strong British accents.
I’m not a big fan of Elvis. I don’t understand the hype. I only knew two songs on this album (In the Ghetto & Suspicious Minds). I think In the Ghetto is a super corny song. I do like Suspicious Minds though. I bought that song after seeing the Elvis movie.
This was boring and long (over an hour). I didn’t know any songs. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve heard, but it shouldn’t have been included on this list.
Green Day is my all time favorite band. I own all of their albums from American Idiot on. Although I don’t own this album, I still really like it and I know/own a lot of the songs on it. I own Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case, When I Come Around, and Pulling Teeth. I also knew She and All By Myself.
I knew because I got a 5 star album yesterday, I would get something I hated today. I was right!! I got my “favorite” genre of music - JAZZ! I didn’t like this, but it was better than some of the previous jazz albums I’ve had to listen to because it was more big band than straight jazz.
I hated this. It was mostly instrumental. It wasn’t good.
I don’t like Steely Dan. This was boring. I didn’t know any songs. Early 70’s rock is one of my least favorite genres.
I love John Lennon! I better since I have him tattooed on my ankle. This album has a lot of my favorite John Lennon songs (Imagine, Jealous Guy, Oh My Love). I also really like the song Oh Yoko! I also knew Gimme Some Truth, How Do You Sleep?, and How? There were a couple songs I didn't particularly like, but overall, this was a really good album.
It was fine. A little long. It all kind of sounded similar. I like his voice though.
I didn’t like this. They did have a song called Jordan, Minnesota which is odd. The songs were too long for a punk album. Did not enjoy.
I knew Brown Sugar & Can’t You Hear Me Knocking. I also own and like Wild Horses. It was fine.
I liked this. I only knew Brass in Pocket. I liked the song Kid though. I like Chrissie Hynde’s voice.
Boring. Not a fan. It wasn't the worst thing I ever heard, but I never need to hear it again.

It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t good. I knew Sledgehammer and In Your Eyes.

I own and love the songs Is This It?, Barely Legal, Someday, and Last Nite. I also recognized and liked the song Hard to Explain. I enjoyed this. I like The Strokes.
I don’t like reggae, but this will definitely be the best reggae album I will have to listen to because I knew quite a few songs on it. I knew Jamming, Three Little Birds, and One Love. I also knew all the words to Turn Your Lights Down Low, but I didn’t know it was a Bob Marley song. I obviously know a cover of this song, but I can’t figure out who sings it and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s driving me crazy.
This was fine. I didn’t know any songs on this. Nothing really stood out.
I didn’t know any songs on this. This was definitely written after a divorce. His voice is good, but I didn’t particularly enjoy any of the songs. This album was really long (over an hour).
I hated this. It was French hard rock music. I don’t know French, so I have no idea what any of the songs were about. The singing/yelling was terrible.
I have never been a fan of the song The Weight which was the only song I knew on this album. I don’t like the lead singer’s voice. It was way better than the French hard rock I had to listen to yesterday though.
This was fine British punk. Nothing really stood out. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great.
Pure torture! This was really loud jazz. Also, it wasn’t on Spotify or Apple Music, so I had to listen to it on YouTube. I don’t think I should have to listen to albums that are so obscure they’re not on Apple Music.
This was fine. It was definitely not my favorite David Bowie album. I knew Young Americans and Fame. I didn’t like his cover of Across the Universe.
This was an entertaining album. I’ve never heard of this band before. It’s a very socially conscious album about living as a black person in the world today. I enjoyed it. I liked the main singer's voice. It was a little long though.
I enjoyed this. This is my kind of 80’s music. I have heard April Skies before, but I didn’t really know any of the songs on this.
This was a long album (over an hour). It was fine, but I've never been a fan of Erykah Badu. It was fine as background music as I did my New York Times games.
I really didn't like this. I often say the 70's are my least favorite decade of music because of music like this and yacht rock. It was not good.
Long album. Pretty boring. It had a couple of good samples on it though (Portishead and Michael Jackson).
This was fine. Typical Bob Dylan. I know and like Subterranean Homesick Blues and Mr. Tambourine Man. I actually prefer his original to The Byers cover. I also recognized Maggie’s Farm and It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue.
I knew a lot of songs on this, but I didn’t necessarily know her version of the songs. The only one I knew as hers for sure was Wishin’ and Hopin’ which I really like. I also knew the songs Mama Said, You Don’t Own Me, Mockingbird, Anyone Who Had a Heart, and Will You Love Me Tomorrow.
I’ve always loved The White Stripes. I know, own, and like the songs Seven Nation Army, In the Cold, Cold Night, It’s True The We Love One Another, and their cover of I Just Don’t Know What to do With Myself. I also knew the song The Hardest Button to Button.

This was really boring. The songs were really long. I didn’t enjoy this.
I hated this. It was all instrumental except for intros of people talking about New York, which were the best parts of this album.
Pure torture. I will never understand jazz. It’s not pretty. This album was two really long songs. I’m really hoping I’m getting close to done with jazz albums. This was called In a Silent Way, and I wish it really were silent.
Meh. Nice short songs. Nothing stood out. Typical punk.
It was fine. It was a concept album, but I didn’t pay attention enough to get the story. It was very 60’s and sometimes almost Beatlesque.
Boring. I only like old Bowie music.
I enjoyed this. I knew quite a few songs. This is better than the other Jimi Hendrix album I had. I knew Purple Haze, Hey Joe, Fire, and Foxey Lady. The Wind Cries Mary was also familiar.
It was ok. Nothing special. Meh.
I've always kind of liked Red Hot Chili Peppers. When Under the Bridge came out, I was 2 or 3 and I loved that song and especially the music video. I watched a lot of MTV as a little kid. This was a long album though. I liked parts of it and didn't like other parts. Some of the songs sounded similar. I, of course, know Under the Bridge and Give It Away. I also recognized Breaking the Girl, which I liked, and Suck My Kiss.
Boring. It was long and nothing stood out.
I like the Velvet Underground. I like Lou Reed's voice. I don't particularly like Nico's voice, but she isn't on this all that much. I know and love Sunday Morning. I also recognized Femme Fatale, Heroin, Venus in Furs, and I'm Waiting for the Man.
I didn’t enjoy this. I just wanted it to be over. Not for me.
I’m not a fan of reggae. I can tolerate Bob Marley, but I don’t want to listen to any other reggae artists.
