Reviews (page 7 of 7)
2.4 - not really impressed by this album, but Gypsy Woman was a standout for me.
A bit boring, folky rock with some good licks but lack of variety.
Today I learned that there's Tim Buckley and also a Jeff Buckley. And the reason that they sound so similar is because Jeff is Tim's son. What a time to be alive huh? Undeniably, Pops is a talented singer and songwriter, but personally I prefer Junior. I believe that Jeff's album -Grace is also on this list and its a better record IMO. The music on this album didn't hit me at all and I can't say I would ever pull out this record to listen to it voluntarily.
Not really me.
Listless
Sad I had to listen. It's dull and hits tedious too often for me. Didn't love his voice on a couple of songs
No sé exactament on veu l'autor la primera part del títol del disc; un altre dels clàssics del folk rock intimista i flagelant, on més enllà de les lletres trascendents poc més queda a salvar

Happy Sad. More like Slightly Dull
Only 6 songs but the songs are long. Easy listening and I wouldn't have guessed it was from 1969. Nothing crazy though it's like almost like a folk/country, and easy listening though a bit boring. 5/10.
A celebration of the vibraphone :) I can imagine JJ Cale listening to this album a lot as he locked in his signature guitar style. The brightness of some chord progressions are very Troubadour. Is this one really in the 1001 list though?
boooooring
Beetje een twijfelgeval. Teveel eindeloos gepiel om echt te blijven boeien.
I can see why some would like this - his voice is very 'marmite' - I don't like it at all. The songs are aimless meanderings and I prefer a discernable melody.
First listen. 2/5
Second time being disappointed by Tim Buckley. Absolutely no edge to it. Also lay off the vibraphone.
this one didn't hit me.
It's alright. 5/10
Uhm, it was kinda unnoticeable to me...
Songs go on a bit too long, I didn't mind gypsy woman but everything else was a little... Boring?
I knew and loved "Buzzin' Fly" before listening to the album (it was maybe the only tune by Tim Buckley I was even aware of). "Buzzin' Fly" is a 5. The rest of the album doesn't have that sort of, pardon the pun, Buzz. It's just a snooze. I have a feeling this would be a much more enjoyable listen while stoned or on other mind altering treats. As of now, I think I prefer his son Jeff's work. I almost feel bad panning the album after falling down a Tim Buckley rabbit hole and learning about how he died at 28 with nothing but a guitar and amp, let alone the fate that awaited his son. I guess what I'm saying is this album should have just been called "Sad".
Cuando ser buen músico no es incompatible con ser un soberano muermo...
While I like Jeff Buckley a lot, the music of his father does not strike me as interesting. I find his mediocre folk/pop songwriting and performance rather boring.
Good voice
some decent songs. can be alright in a certain mood. 2 or 3 stars.
The title should have been Sad Sad. Buckley has a beautiful voice and definite high and low range. I didn’t care for the album. It was too slow down beat and depressing in nature.
Buena voz, pero demasiado pausado y sosegado. No me ha llamado la atención en absoluto
Folk-rock americano muy ñoño
Just slightly better than his son from the little I listened
Nope
What a bummer.
Not bad but not great... aimless?
Meh
a little too slow for my taste, its jazzy and experimental
Probably caught me at the wrong time… found the whole thing kind winded and bloated. Also too many xylophones!
They seem to have been much more indulgent of things in the 60s.
Pretty hard to get through. I didn’t like it.
Certainly not Happy. Dreadful.
His voice is so unique, but I have to say I do prefer his son’s… Still a very talented artist but his music just isn’t really my cup of tea. Fav song is ‘Strange Feelin’.
Tämä kuulosti välillä niinkuin kissa vetäisi pitkää maukunaa. Vähä raskasta kuunneltavaa. Ei jatkoon.
I can forgive an album for feeling long-winded, but boring is something else. This just did not grab me, no matter how much I tried to connect with it. Self-indulgent rubbish.
I respect what Mr. Buckley is trying to do. However, I find it incredibly boring and just not done particularly well. It makes me wish I was listening to better jazz albums with vibraphone players on them. 1/5
if you find a CSN solo album too exciting boy have I got the thing for you!!
This can't possibly be the "best" Tim Buckley album to start with right? This was far too long and fairly dull. I'll be skipping this one from now on.
I hated this a lot
Just sad.
7-minute Glockenspiel solos! Jazzy feel without jazz musician competence! Put this on next time you take a road trip in your hybrid Subaru because you "get it" more than I do, friend.
The musical equivalent of a sleep paralysis demon. Horrific, warbly folk crossed with vocal jazz. Every song sounds more or less exactly the same, drags on for an eternity, meanders around in a never-ending loop that goes nowhere and possesses all the joy of a crusty abscess. Should have been titled "Depression: The Album".
This album is pretty terrible. Buckley is singing in a way he can’t really sing, and the songs are virtually unlistenable.
So awful on so many ways. Here’s four: his awful voice, idiotic theme, ridiculous lyrics, and the melding on jazz and country.
Really not very good
happy sad bad? c
He obviously got a new glockenspiel for Xmas, dude needs to cheer up a bit. Dreary.
This is already the 3rd Tim Buckley album I've got. Dude is fine but that's simply outrageous.
Possibly one of the most strange listening experiences I’ve ever had. The first few tracks felt like they had so much promise, at first matching my drive home at sunset with a chill, calming vibe. But, then they’d dwindle on and become kind of ‘meh’ with their long length. It went downhill from there. ‘Gypsy Woman’ was awful!!!! It felt like listening to some kind of parody, like in a sitcom when one of the ‘joke’ characters suddenly decides that they can sing and begins some awful renditions. How many times can Tim Buckley drag out the words ‘gypsy woman’??!!! I can’t believe this is on the 1001 albums list, and I’m not surprised that I had never heard of Tim Buckley before - after some research, though, I’m glad Jeff Buckley (his son??!!!!) was a shining star compared to this. Rating: 1.5.
Yeah, I didn't enjoy listening to this.
The only good thing about this album is his eyebrows.
Consider me "sad sad." This might be marginally better than any album with a song called "Get on Top," but those margins aren't in an impressive part of the spectrum.
How does he have 3 albums on this list? One was one too many.
This guy... Sucks is not a strong enough word.
First listen
Strange voice, and music. Not a fan.
meh
Extremely slow and not for me
1 bc of a 12??? min song about a gypsy women jfc
great album to cure your insomnia
1.5 (44:43, 6 tracks, 3rd album 1969) folk (psychedelic folk, folk jazz) The beginning of the end. Like a lot of artists Tim had some moderate success with his first two albums and got cocky or life got sad, not sure. Started to play around with jazz and psychedelic and his fans left him. Just a downward spiral from here. He wouldn't be on this list if he didn't ride the hard fought fan base he clawed and fought for on the first two releases. Always feel sad when this happens. OK just got Joni Mitchell's The Hissing of Summer Lawns which I thought was boring as fuck for folk jazz and then I get this which makes Joni more tolerable. I'm giving this a 1, 150 albums in and I only have 3 (now 4) 1's. Maybe I'm just angry today, it's cold and miserable and this album did nothing. 6 tracks (2 are over half the album) all suck. I was going to joke seeing the cover (which I like) that it looks like a sad older version of Jeff Buckely (just playing on the last name. I read he actually IS Jeff's dad so well . . . that joke doesn't work. The best thing about this album is Jeff who everything he does was so much better.) Just couldn't get into this - feel bad about the 1, it's not as terrible as the other three, but I need some one's.
Oof
Dullest dullard who ever dulled I feel like this is the 50th album of his on the list If i could be bothered id go back and give all his stuff a 1. Can't be arsed. Please stop
I really dislike this man
Second Tim Buckley album. It's been a good while since his last - nearly 200 albums since I listened to Greetings From LA, which I remembered having a really shitty book entry - it wasn't at all persuasive or descriptive. Regardless, Tim is an interesting fellow. He has three list albums, yet his son appears to be the more influential and revered artist. Maybe this album will elucidate me on the Buckley charm. I'll be honest. I was spaced the fuck out while listening to this. Guess I need some well-earned R&R every once in a while. This album was competent instrumentally (I think? I don't actually remember a single defining feature of it), though I just couldn't get into the music. The pacing is pretty jaring. It swings between unremarkable 10+ minute songs that go on for way too fucking long to ~5 minute songs that I don't even register in my memory thanks to being bored out of my mind by the previous track. It also doesn't help that this album was really quiet. I had my phone speaker at maximum volume and the music was still getting completely drowned out by the hand fan I had aimed my face. No, I couldn't just turn the thing off - I'm in the middle of a Stroyan summer. Book time. Buckley's best offering. Many influences. That's it. Wikipedia reveals that this album marked the beginning of an experimental period for Buckley, was Buckley's most successful album and has mild critical acclaim, though that's also about it. Sure, whateverrrrrrr. I need to hold onto my replacement albums - I shudder to think of how many I have left. I cosign this inclusion.
understand Jeff
Maybe a 3. More a 2.
BORING
Long songs aren’t a problem for me, the problem is when an already long song feels like it’s dragging on forever, which is the case here. The jazzy aspects here were interesting at times, and there were moments I found myself enjoying, but they felt accidental, because they never resolved or built to anything. I’m sure there’s some context here that I’m missing as to why this album is significant enough to merit inclusion on this list, but I’m not hearing it. A real slog.
This is the second Tim Buckley album that’s been on this list, and I can only imagine the author of 1,001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die is a Tim Buckley superfan because I just don’t get it. And it’s quite possible I’m not smart enough to see the appeal, or it may be an acquired taste that you just can’t acquire in a few listenings. To me, this album was boring. though I did like the vibraphone which kind of linked all the songs together. But, mostly the songs are slow and more sad sad than happy sad. Buckley’s voice can also become annoying after a while. It seems many people couldn’t understand how he never made it big, but I think it's easy to see. Buckley really couldn’t figure out a lane. He started out as a folk singer, then he dabbled in jazz and experimental music, then he moved on to what is termed as his “sex funk” period, of which Greetings from L.A. is a part. Greetings is also on the 1,001 list and is another Buckely album that I just didn’t find that likeable. Though I did like Greetings more than this album. It’s quite clear I’m not a Tim Buckley fan, maybe I’ll be more of a fan of his son, Jeff Buckley, as I’m sure he’ll be included on the 1,001 list. How could he not be? The author must be a family member. So, if you like jazzy, experimental music by a guy who seems to not know where he wants to land, then you might like this. As for me, I will continue to not get what the deal is with Tim Buckley.
Supposedly a Psychedelic Folk Jazz Fusion album - whatever that is? Confused, I am. The emphasis of this quite depressing album seems to be on Sad rather than Happy.
Tim I hate you stop talking please
On s’ennuie Timbre de voix similaire à Jim Morrison je trouve
Not a fan. Boring.
Painful. Listen, I love Buckley’s Greetings from L.A. and I love Miles’ modal work. But listening to pretentious hippy dipshits noodling on and on in one modal structure after another - without delivering a worthwhile melodic idea or managing to build to anything - starts out boring and becomes infuriating. It’s every bit as bad as Astral Weeks; proving, to me, that the entire minstrel-folk-modal-jazz fusion concept was an unfortunate afterbirth of the post war musical revolution.
So slowly. It's not for me.
Fuck no. 0.8
A astral weeks
Need to remember this when can't sleep.
I've probably mentioned it in another review, but I like longer songs. I prefer when the music has a chance to breathe and you can just... live in it for a while. But the song has to be interesting enough to engage me for the whole length. Unfortunately, this album does not succeed at that. Six minutes of "Buzzin' Fly" is great, but ten minutes of "Love from Room 109..." is painful to sit through. The compositions on the first two tracks are great, and the melancholy folk songs are refreshing in small doses. This album is so close to being something I could love, but in being so close it ends up being farther away from what I want to hear.
Got bored after 3 songs
Nope. Really didn't enjoy his voice, and the long rambling compositions were definitely not for me.
not my vibe did not finish
Boring as shit. Why are there three of his albums on here but not a single Warren Zevon?
12 minutes of random notes?
I barely made it
Short and sweet, I HATED this one. Could not stand his voice.
Ne, Tim. Nicht so real.
Nope
This album is so boring, I started missing the sound of silence.
Really getting sick of this clown after a third appearance. Come on, make room for someone else. Also didn't help that the album sucked
I get what he was going for but I did not care for it. Maybe I just hate folk as the jazz parts were fine
a lesser man's bob dylan
Why? This raised so many questions. Why include this album? Why not Jeff instead? Why is the word happy involved when it's all so depressing? Why make this album? Why not showcase an artist that is capable of saying something interesting about feeling sad instead of this dude? Why did you make me listen to this? Why is this anything other than a footnote on Jeff Buckly's Wikipedia page?
If you listen to music for purely "vibes" then I'm sure this isn't too bad. I find it boring. And long.
1 stern
Happy to say I don't have to listen to this sad shit anymore.
Well - it started out okay. Kinda jazzy which I liked, but then it just got sad, which I didn't like. His voice is good, but ... IDK, too sad for me. Read his story, and that is sad too. He needed more happy in his life.
People who die of heroine at 28 are usually not this boring
Boring psychedelic album (never thought I'd use those two words in the same sentence).
Wer sich entleiben möchte ist hier richtig. Ich bleibe noch etwas bei mir und gehe schnell weiter.
This album is not nearly as good as the previous Tim Buckley entries which is a shame since it's the first time he decided to write it all himself. Interesting mash up of bright musical backing (ie: vibraphone) with drawn out, melancholy lyrics. Happy Sad is a fitting title but the album didn't make me feel either of these and I'm not sure why it's on the list. Even the most played track is as annoying as a "Buzzin' Fly" in your freshly poured drink. 1.30 for exploratory jazz from a tragic man.
Another Buckley? And why this one? 1001 list got a thing for this guy I think. "Happy Sad" is a pretty accurate album title and the look on Tim's face says it all. He slows it down too much here but it does soothe. I'm not saying this is bad music but I just don't see why this peaceful, dreamer album is a must listen. I prefer the other 2 featured works by TB and I would play this more than some of the Jazz stuff to go to sleep to or something...gets a 1.27 star rating.
I haven't minded Tim Buckley's prior entries but I did not enjoy my listen of Happy Sad. This was 6 really long, slow, annoying songs that left my mind as soon as they were over. Even 44 minutes started to feel like a drag. Not sure Tim Buckley needs 2 yet alone 3 entries on this list. Maybe his influence reaches farther than I'm aware of but I'm losing interest as I get more exposure to him. I'd vote this one off personally. 1.24 stars
Not my favorite artist/style of music
Boring
Maybe just not in the mood for this now but found it boring and songs were way too long
blah
Meh. It was alright. It wasn't unlistenable (for the most part). But for a 45ish minute album, it DRAGGED. This feels like the kind of album an indie boy would put on if you went back to his gaff from the bar and he really wanted to impress you. Like bro, just put on Fleetwood Mac, be normal. It was just flat and boring. It felt like I was listening to the same song the entire album and his voice grated on me towards the end. It just kept... GOING. I feel like, even if I put this on as background music, I would still get bored of it. My brain switched off about five minutes in and yet I was painfully aware of the run-on sound the entire time, checking the time I had left to see when it would end. There is a definite winner on who is the more talented Buckley and I'm telling you - it's not Tim.
No matter how many times 'the Buckleys' are lauded and I give it a go... its just not for me.
If I weren’t over 800 albums in, a second Tim Buckley album may have set me over the edge. No one wants to listen to this.
Tédio
# 420 : An album which makes you reconsider whether there are as many as 1,001 albums you must listen to before you die…
Only sad. But that was me. Sad that I listened to this entire infinitely irritating album. I groaned when this one came up, not expecting to see two Tim Buckley albums on the list. This one lived down to my expectations.
The most boring album ever on earth. "Happy Sad" should be called "Sad Sad" because there's nothing happy about it.
Sad. Definitely sad.
Last time I got a Tim Buckley album it was within the first week or two of this project, and I remember giving it a low 2 and saying it was definitely my worst album yet but I was trying to be open. Well I finally got another album by him and can confirm he’s really not for me. I don’t get it at all. Meandering, boring. Voice isn’t memorable. There’s an eleven minute track where he (a white man) basically just scream sings a slur over and over and over again. It’s music, sure, but it’s not music I like. At all. One star.
Awful, didn't enjoy this at all. All over the place, and none of it in anything like a good way.
yikes.... said shit. its a no
This album sorta just sucks. There's like 30 seconds of guitar in Strange Feelin' that's kind of decent, but the rest is boring.
Nix für mich
How the f*** does this dude have 3 albums on this list?? Come on
I really hate this guy's music and his voice
just Sad
As bad as the label folk-jazz would make you assume. Tuneless but talented vocals and dangerous levels of xylophone. Really dreary stuff. It's a hot guy moping around for attention, don't give it to him, you're falling for his trap!
The good news is, only about half of this album is painfully boring. The bad news is, when it isn't boring, it's annoying. And that's arguably worse.
Thought this was going to be ok. Decent musician and vocal. But then the jazz took over. Kept getting the feeling that he was singing along to a different song than he was playing. But maybe that’s just jazz for you. Gypsy woman just killed the whole thing off for me. How many times does he have to say that a gypsy woman has cast a spell on him? The answer is 12 minutes worth.
It's true! I have absolutely no taste whatsoever for Tim Buckley. I just hate how he sings and how carelessly he throws away a talented voice. It feels like he's barely trying, and something about that gets under my skin. But I only know this because this list has, like 4 Tim Buckley albums (I think we've had 2 so far??), and they were further into the era of excess and laziness that seems to define Tim Buckley's output. It's like Van Morrison, except instead of liking it, I don't. At all. This is maybe the least offensive of all the Tim Buckley albums we've had, but it does little to reduce my extreme prejudice against him. Oh no. Nevermind. We got to Gypsy Woman. My rage has awakened again. 1/5 is generous. Suck it Tim!!!
1.5
This is one of the few times I found myself bored to tears. On paper, this totally sounded like my kind of jam. But most tracks are far longer than they need to be, the mood and vibe is far too slow and chill to the point where damn near every song starts to blend into one another, and it’s simply not musically interesting enough in any respect to leave an impression on me. It all just feels rather..: lifeless? Sure, ‘Buzzin’ Fly’ is okay, ‘Dream Letter’ is probably as interesting as the lyrics get on the album, and ‘Gypsy Woman’ is where Buckley finally musters up some of the energy needed to boost up the jazz elements. But overall it’s just an absolute slog. It feels like a huge step down from his previous album ‘Goodbye And Hello’, which is a really solid effort. I also feel he executed this particular sound far better on his follow up ‘Blue Afternoon’. But hey, props to him for doing something different at the time. ‘Happy Sad’ just simply does not click with me in any way whatsoever.
*I thought this was a sad, slow, and depressing album.
Snooze fest.
So boring, just like the other album I had from him. Please say there isn't a third.
So, I have this recurring stress nightmare……
1. ztrange - 1.5 2. fly - 1 3. love - 1 4. letter - 1 5. gypzy - 1.5 6. zong - 0
Wasn't a fan.
Did not enjoy. Hippie art folk.
This was boring beyond belief.
Didn’t really like it. It was jazz without being jazz, really slow and strange. Not a fan. F teir.
I read on Wikipedia that this album was voted 954th on a separate top 1000 albums list. I'd imagine that's an accurate ranking for this list too.
what a dirge
I think I fell asleep out of boredom
No amount of happiness or sadness justify 10 minute tracks that all sound alike. The 12+ minute acid trip that is Gypsy Woman is worth a listen for comedic value.
Eh
I must remember this album if I am ever having trouble getting to sleep.
I was initially looking forward to this given the album title but my god is it drivel. Didn’t realise when the album had looped because I was that bored and it all sounded the same. Only picked up on Gypsy Woman but the long, dull tones that dominate this album just overpower my willingness to give any track a try.
Put me to sleep.
Painful. Found zero happiness in any of the tracks.
* sigh * wait... nope * sigh * * lowers volume *
I have no clue how this guy got three albums (I hope only three) on this list. This one felt chugging orange juice while chewing spearmint gum. Sometimes this list feels like work - case in point.
warbly nonsense
So to put it nicely I wanted to sleep and never wake up listening to this. I put it on a high volume and could still barely hear anything. So. And his voice was so sleepy. Im sorry but this was awful.
Some of the worst faux jazz I've ever heard. Apparently inspired by Miles Davis, it doesn't come close to the master. He also started doing heroin. So I make this an anti drug album. Do smack, make crappy albums like this.
Not Radiohead bad, but did not enjoy this one. I can only think this is included to make the other albums sound that much better. On second thought, this is Radiohead bad.
Erster Song und es wurde sofort sehr schwierig für mich. Zu experimentell und gar nicht für mich.
My least favourite songs on this album are: Strange Feelin’ Buzzin' Fly Love from Room 109 at the Islander (On Pacific Coast Highway) Dream Letter Gypsy Woman & Sing A Song For You
I'm still waiting for the album to start.
Ik moest bijna huilen en toen zette ik dit maar af. Verschrikkelijk
I always try and listen to each album a couple times to make sure I didn't give up too quickly. I swore I wasn't going to listen a 2nd time, but I did. Nothing changed from my first listen. Thought it started out OK with Strange Feelin' then quickly lost me from there. I thought the album got progressively worse and each song got longer as it went on and on and on. I'm sure this guy is talented, but whatever this album was trying to be, it missed the mark with this listener. To top it off, a song by The Incredible Strings Band came on the conclusion of the album. Double whammy. Songs too long and way too boring for me. 1
Couldn't get into it.
Once again, not something I'd listen to
Very boring album. I don't even think I finished it.
Jazzahtavuus: ei pelastava tekijä, vaan viimeinen niitti.
Soms schreewerig, soms doet hij zijn best om heel goed te zingen maar het lukt niet? Nee, niet mijn ding :-).
The Slowpoke Rodriguez of singer songwriter albums. Every word is so laboured and slowly sung with no discernible melody that it is difficult to comprehend and very boring to listen to. Rating: 1.5/5 Playlist track: Buzzin' Fly Date listened: 21/07/23
No pasa el doping
Igual que el semblante triste de Tim Buckley en la foto del álbum, su música me deprime y me brinda una melancolía al día de ayer, cuando todavía no escuchaba el álbum.
Det här var riktigt trist.
Too sad
Not my cup o tea
I really like Tim Buckley's Starsailor album. This one is just kind of meh. Dream Lover was kind of cool, but other than that, I don't see why we care about this guy. And how did he get away with not crediting Miles Davis on that opening track, which is blatantly ripping off "All Blues?"
I could not make it through this album. I made it halfway and had to move on. I would think if you are a fan of ASMR you would love this album. I find ASMR rage inducing. I found this album rage inducing. It’s artistic, just not for me.
vilken skit det här var då
Gypsy woman est pas si nul mais bon album de 6 chansons globalement toutes chiantes. dommage il m'est sympathique avec sa voix bizarre
What? You really need headphones to listen this one. Boring except for all the chimes.
ok
Couldn’t even get through it.
Didn't know Tim Buckley could be this boring. 1 I love "Sing a Song for You" But I'm gonna give this album a 1 because it's the only 3 minutes I actually want to listen to. And then I have Tim Buckley smiling on my 5's and sad Tim Buckley on my lowest rated.
Dull and dreary.
I'm almost entirely certain that I'm going to hate this. Before I even put it on. However. The first track has started nicely. His voice is lovely. Please don't fuck this up, Tim. Tim. You've fucked this up. You're closing your eyes when you sing this, aren't you? Oh noes! My emotions! On the plus side. This album is only 6 tracks. Unfortunately they're all 6+ minutes long.
Just awful.....unlistenable.....
This is the first time I was completely bored from beginning to end. Dreadful
love a 12 minute song
I struggled with the album. I was bored and I was not entertained. The music was all over the place. Some of it was folksy. Some of it is was rock or rock that was common for the time period. Lyrically nothing of note. It was only 45 minutes, but I wanted it to be over a lot sooner. All of the songs are too long. It is unnecessary to have a 10 minute plus song, let alone two. The album is probably better than a one, but not really a two. I am rounding down. If the style had been consistent and the songs not so long, then it would have been a two, but I had to listen to some crap songs.
Funny, I saw his name and thought \"I know him\" only to realize I don't think I've ever listened to Tim Buckley. Pretty sure I was confusing him with Jeff. Anyway, I have no idea why this guy has a cult following. WTF is this?
Meh. Played this and didn’t get it. Played it again to check, and still didn’t. Feels very of it’s time and doesn’t speak to me at all.
I liked the gentle breezy Miles Davis influenced early track, but the rest is boring. My first listen to any Tim Buckley and I’m very disappointed.
Snoozer
Anything that is labeled as psychedelic folk makes no sense. Which is exactly how I felt about this album, just simply didn’t like it and could have gone through life without knowing this existed.
I am very sorry. But this was an album I simply could not listen to. I am not sure if you all know the Jimmy Fallon Tonight show "Do not play list". That would be in the top 10 of that list. What is that? And who the heck is Tim Buckley? And who put that on the 1001 albums list? So many questions.
Sad
Gypsy woman had some ok parts the rest of the album is not worth listening to again.
Boring and depressing Gypsy woman only upeat song - Goes on too long
Very interesting album… I found some of the songs really long… I could listen to them while I was working but when the phone would ring I wouldn’t really pay attention and some made me feel really sad so not an album I would’ve gone out and bought
Not a good first impression. I don't like his voice and the style is all over the place (and not in a good way). Production is very low key and watered down.
Well-made but I don't enjoy this particular style of music very much, so it didn't leave any significant impact on me.
More like sad sad.
