Sigur RósOne long beautiful dream scape....I couldn't get thru it. Sounded like a soundtrack for a stunning visual IMAX movie. Good background music for doing something.....
One long beautiful dream scape....I couldn't get thru it. Sounded like a soundtrack for a stunning visual IMAX movie. Good background music for doing something.....
Spotify doesn't play this one for some reason? Found it on YouTube. Disappointing and confusing. I wanted to like it, just didn't get it and definitely could not get thru much of any it.
Never heard of them before. Felt like a cross between the Clash and Devo. If it were a person it would be Fred Armisen. It was pretty good.
An all time favorite.
Overrated! (I just listened to Carol King/Joni Mitchell previously - maybe I am just fatigued?)
It sounded....old. I like all the quick songs, the Beatles sound and all. Probably wouldn't listen to it again. Looking forward to whatever is next :)
Dense. He’s awesome. Long album, over 70 minutes. The blacker the berry got my attention. Need to hear more of his stuff.
I love Prince, I did not love this Album. Long and meh. Nothing grabbed me really.
Enjoyed it. Felt like it epitomized the 60s. It was a “mood”.
It was definitely an album that was meant to be listened to completely as no song stuck out. His speaking rapping and singing voices are all so different. He’s talented but this didn’t grab me.
So many songs! Felt like 6-8 not 24. Fun background party music. Nothing grabbed me.
Awesome album. Never listened to it in full. Few new tunes I dug. Wasn’t very long. I made chili and cleaned up in one listen.
3 bangers! Great background music. A lot of the tunes from reminded me of really polished 60s music. Great sound great album
Really good. Never heard most of it and enjoyed almost all of it. Perfect background cleaning music
One long James Bond song
Surprisingly, really good and very polished. Not my favorite style of music, but was surprised that I liked it
Sofa king good.
First two songs are absolute bangers. The rest of the album is just kind of OK
Four absolute all-time songs, including teacher your children, acoustically, which I never heard before. Couple other tunes I never heard that were OK otherwise, most of the other songs are kind of downers. Their voices and talents are amazing. Just not all the songs are hits.
So many hits. So many songs. Just awesome.
Not my jam. Not bad, just nothing grabbed me.
Couldn't get into it. The grooves were long and grating. Never heard of the band....which is nuts cuz they have like 30 albums. Then again, punk ain't my thing and I just listened to The Understones yesterday (which I didn't love either) so maybe its just punk fatigue, but I didn't like it. Boring.
Don't think I ever heard the whole (double) album. Bloated and awesome but rambling at times. Thought I'd love it more.
I never heard of them at all. Very British! Can hear the Beatles influence.....almost like a poor mans Oasis (without the catchy pop tunes). The album was pretty good. Nothing stood but I didn't feel the urge to FF any of the songs.
One long beautiful dream scape....I couldn't get thru it. Sounded like a soundtrack for a stunning visual IMAX movie. Good background music for doing something.....
Was fine. Liked as many songs as I didn't. So much Brit rock so far.
Cannot deny the talent, skill, musicianship, etc.....just kinda old and boring. I'd like to respect them with a better rating, but if I am being honest....
Really enjoyed this unexpected album in its entirety from band Ive never heard of prior. Lo fi first. Loved the sound
Kinda Earth Wind and Fire + an ok Donna Summer vibe + Super Market/Elevator music = No me gusto
Rich sound, overproduced and just felt noisier than it needed to be. Nothing too catchy either unfortunately. I wanted to like it, just didn't :(
If I were to have heard any of these songs by themselves as part of a mix, I may ask who was singing. Listening to these songs one after another was just too much melodic electronica....not bad per se, just not my thing.
Love Paul Simon. Never heard this album. No major hits and some stinkers but undeniably talented and some decent song writing. Was ok at best.
I am not sure why this album was included. Unremarkable. Musicians were fine, his voice is good and unique, songs were meh at best. One Hit Wonder band for a reason.
Wow what an album. 8 songs and 4 all timers (Thunderoad, ten ave freezeout, Born to Run and Jungleland). In 40 minutes no less!!
I did not see this one coming! Awesome album beginning to end. Even the ludicrous 12 minute Outro was good. Highly produced and highly enjoyable.
Did not expect to like it. Sounded like it was from the 60's. Heavy Beatles influence, even heard some Pink Floyd hints in there. There She Goes is a huge hit that I never could have told you who wrote/performed and when. Pretty solid.
Not a fan of Tom Petty. No denying the greatness of his bangers Breakdown and American Girl. The rest just kinda stinks to me. 10 songs in 30 minutes is just odd too.
1962!! Never knew the name of Green Onions (song or album) or Booker T & the MGs but clearly they were influential artists. Rockin soulful organ and beautiful instrumentals. The album just felt important. Really good.
Nope. 2 hours and 40 minutes of 69 unremarkable songs. Scanned a few, couldn't be bothered. Not sure why its here.
Good. Well produced. Smooth. Nothing jumped out. If asked, I may have thought it was Crosby Stills and Nash.
Green Light is a banger! Couple other decent tunes but nothing close. Wish I liked it more.
Nope. Video game background music. Not an album. I’d give it a zero if I could.
Nice Sunday AM album. Chill vibe. Polished and solid.
Unreal that this isn't a greatest hits album. It was their 11th studio album too! Crazy. 7 of the 11 are certified bangers, the other 4 are good too (just slower). An easy 5. Gotta be one of the best albums ever.
Surprised by how much I liked it. Songs are fast and just really good. Knew almost Al of them. No one has played piano quite like him
Outstanding album. What an album is supposed to be. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
With the exception of Blitzkrieg Pop they kinda stink in a very endearing way. Songs are short and repetitive and simple and ok. It’s like a 2.5 with one banger so I’ll round up.
Jazzzzzz. Great background, cuz I just cant listen to Jazz instrumentals all by themselves
Album was fine. Ok. Unremarkable or memorable
23 songs from the 80's that I never heard of - and maybe never needed to. Kind of like Devo and Oingo Boingo without any hits. I could not get thru this.
Couple of notable bangers....the rest is repetitive electronica/rap/groove/machine beats. I wouldn't seek it out, but didn't hate it. I thought Fatboy Slim was a person - guess not :)
Thing called Love is one of my favorite tunes. The rest of the album was pretty good not great. can’t tell if it’s a parody album just a modern day take on screaming metal either way it’s fun
1958! Johnny Cash-like. Dunno if he was an influence or this was just the style of play of the day. I'm guessing the "Ramblin" is his story telling. Enjoyable, different.
If I were to walk into a bar in Nashville and she was singing, it would be an awesome night....otherwise this music style just does not fit in my listening life.
So cool that this was the first post-Nirvana album that he wrote/reordered entirely alone. First 3 songs are bangers....never heard most if not all of the rest of the album. Solid
There must be 10000 better albums then this unlistenable garbage.
Sounded like a parody album of what country music should be. Guitar playing was good.
Awesome taking a deeper dive into a band that I thought I knew. They are masters of their unique sound and style. No better band for high intensity workouts. This music has a time and place.....my office desk is not one of them.
She's so much more than just a rapper. Great voice, very good songs, even beyond the ones I already knew (The Rain, Sock it To me). Great featured guests that added to her songs, didn't take away. Well produced. I don't know that I would ever put it on, I just know I wouldn't run Missy Elliott off.
It sounds like Bsides off of a weak Beach boys album. Maybe a hint of the Doors in there or some Mamas and the Papas. None of it really grabbed me though.
This is just top tier....even re-listening impartially. Easy 5 stars.
Very good album with a couple bangers! So many different styles. Her voice is one of a kind, the band is very good and you can hear how influential she was…the GoGos, the Bangles, the punk, the disco. Not sure I would just put it on tho.
40+ songs, 2 hours of quality dated Beatlesque music is just too damned much
Love me some Jack White. Never heard most of these songs and really liked most of them. Fell in Love with a Girl and We are Gonna Be Friends are all timers.....not enough on this album to make it 5 stars tho.
What a voice! Great rainy Sunday lazy around the house kinda music. Not sure I would ever put on 50's music/standards, but certainly didn't mind this one. 9 songs and 35 minutes of chilllllll
Never heard of him before. Didn't like it, but didn't dislike it either. He sounds like David Johansen/Buster Poindexter.
It’s a mood. Not for me. Her talent is clear, the songs are ok. Maybe two songs grabbed me (Dance til we die).
A few all time rock classics and an opening riff for the ages. Deep dive into a long two disc set. Really enjoyed some of the stuff I never heard before. It was just too long.
She makes me sleepy
This album is a 5. ALL of their albums are 5’s. I own them alll. Psyched to listen to this one in the car with the whole fami
Spotify doesn't play this one for some reason? Found it on YouTube. Disappointing and confusing. I wanted to like it, just didn't get it and definitely could not get thru much of any it.
This album rocks. Was even better all these years later. 911 is a Joke, Welcome to the Terrordome, Burn Hollywood Burn, Fight the Power....and 16 other tracks....so good.
Really good. Sounds like the Clash meets the Ramones. A strong 3
Really fun album. Ska isn't for everyone....but is for me :) Monkey Man rocks. Very strong 3....I would definitely put it on again.
Just a really good polished rock album. First time I’ve listened to TRex. Really enjoyed it.
Loved it. The in between segments got a lil silly or filthy.
Relentless instrumental mastery.
Tough listen. Every 80’s cliche immaculately produced with a monotone voice. Not for me. One memorable tune.
Short! 30 minutes. Fun. Fine. I’ve heard way better stuff from him. Probably a whole lot better if you can see him dance and perform.
Not my jam. Not awful. Not good. Glam punk rock zzzzzzz. After Leonard Cohen the the day, the monotone baritone vocal styling's were tiring.
What a show this must've been. Never heard this album but felt like I knew it. Keith Moon was unreal.
Easy 5
The musicians are clearly beyond talented. The music is high pitched, frenetic and irritating after a while.
This was dense and not at all what I was expecting. So many different styles. Felt like a cross between yes and Pink Floyd I didn’t love it but I definitely could appreciate it
Weird. I imagine if you are a Bowie fan that you’d love this
She is intense. Never heard of her until Stranger Things. I didn’t hate it, but my family did. Not sure it’s an all timer.
I liked it! Nothing remarkable just a solid rock/glam/punk album. Never heard of these guys before.
Cool weird spoken word/sound clip/soundtrack with a ton of talent and styles. It’s a ride.
War Pigs, Iron Man and Paranoid…all timers. Always loved Ozzy, but really heard the guitars this go round…amazing.
Verrrrry interesting. Kinda dug it. Relentless drums.
Have to separate the art from the artist. The art is a five….the artist is an antisemite
Love The Who....more than I thought. The hits are the hits...and they have plenty....but the rest is very listenable. Not all great.
Sounded like it was a low budget Nine Inch Nails done on a Casio keyboard. A couple of know tunes, but nothing I loved
Just an awesome album.
Very good. Unique voice, real good guitar and some good tunes. I wouldn’t turn her off
I liked it more than the Yes Album. 3 all time tunes and a couple of questionable ones. I like Yes.....hope thats it from them tho.
Too many songs. Some of it was fine, most of it was like the soundtrack to a movie I didn't like or understand
Better than I thought it would be. I knew a couple tunes, the rest were solid too. Love the drums.
I am a Coldplay Stan. This is not their best. Kind of a slow burn this album.
Never heard the roots before besides listening to Jimmy Kimmel. Wow. I did not see this album coming. I loved it and will absolutely listen to it again.
Better and more polished than I expected. Solid.
Just an awesome metal band/album with an all time banger in Walk!
Neil Young is solid. just don’t enjoy him as much as I think I will. Even the hits we know are really just OK
Way better than expected. Listened to it mountain biking which definitely helped the enjoyment factor
Delicate and sweet and not a single song grabbed me. The vocals and guitar alone would’ve been better without all the studio BS. Did not like this much if at all.
Love Iron Maiden. Love the Bruce Dickinson version more. This sounded like rough cutsl
Long double albums....I was ready to hate on it because when I scanned it I didn't recognize any of the tunes. I'm an idiot. So fucking smooth and dynamic and rich. His influence on ALL music is on display here. Amazing album.
Never heard of them before. Felt like a cross between the Clash and Devo. If it were a person it would be Fred Armisen. It was pretty good.
Unique. Odd. Intentional. Occasionally groovy. Overall, meh.
It started slow and theatrical, I was dubious. Then it got very good! Well produced, cohesive like an album should be. Varied sounds, similar styles, energetic. "Afrofuturism"....guess I'm a fan. Liked it a lot.
High energy. Fun and familiar. Felt like a time capsule to high school.
These guys were awesome - never heard before. Tribe Called Quest with some Kool Moe Dee and Public Enemy.
I can appreciate the pop superstardom aspect of it, but if I am being honest, I turn it off whenever it comes on and couldn't get thru much of this relatively short 41 minute album.
Was OK. Thought it may be better. Kind of the same thing over and over.
Nope. Irritating breathy synth depression music.
An unexpected gem! Thought it was gonna be an 80's cheesefest but turned out to be smooth and really well produced. Lots of styles. Seems like a lot of different artists too. Will play again next time I'm cooking
I appreciate the historical significance. I appreciate the soulful voice and the standards. Its just old and not something I wanna listen to a whole bunch of.
Not a Bowie fan. I tried. Heroes rocks......but maybe because I love the redo's? Meh.
Really enjoyed this one. Never heard of them, singer had a bit of Freddy Mercury in him.
Not one song grabbed me. They all sounded the same. Whiny nasally disenchanted droning. No wonder j never got into them.
Every other song was fine. Nothing grabbed me. Florence and Alanis do this better
Enjoyable. The remastered person had too many extra songs tho. Made the album too long.
Just an amazing album. Love the Killer Mike and B Real tunes. Sorry Miss Jackson and So Fresh are all timers. Easy 5 here
Easy 5 for me
Unremarkable, uninteresting and unnecessary.
Wouldn’t mind seeing them live in a bar, otherwise underwhelming
Never heard this album!!! I knew the bangers, but now I know the rest. Love Tribe.
Felt like a synth 80s album. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Just fine.
Definitely biased - this was the first album I ever owned.
Started weak, got better, weak, better, irritating, a couple of FF's and thankfully this one is over.
I wanted to hate on this album, but can't. 3 or 4 bangers and a driving fast paced fun gym album. Surprising 4 from me.
An all time favorite.
Another James Bond soundtrack. I didn't turn it off...so its better than a 1.
So good
Why?
There has gotta be some better Bollywood music out there....this was OK. Listenable.
A surprising out of nowhere, solid three. Never heard of them before. Enjoyed it
An all-time top 10 album for me.
12 songs in 28 minutes. I appreciate it. Liked it. Loved Blue Suede Shoes, Tutti Frutti.
Now I know what the bossonova is. Girl from Imponema was awesome, the rest was very good too. Perfect background dinner music
Just the perfect background music. Nostalgic for me, Brad played this a lot in college.
Solid. I may have liked this more than expected. One of his better iterations
An all time favorite....AND they just started making music again :)
Quintessential 60s psychedelic rock.
Bowie is so solid. No album has been a 5, but they all have at least one banger. Changes rocks.
Creep and Waterfalls are awesome...the rest is solid. Wouldn't put it on, but didn't turn it off.
Was really good. A cross between A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. Solid.
Loved it when it came out and loved it now.
I liked the concept more than the album unfortunately. I Can See For Miles is a banger...the rest was fine dated classic 60's rock.
She is no Janelle Monae....this was overly produced and very very OK at best. Nothing memorable.
3 bangers! Gotta Get Up, Coconut and Without You (I thought that was a Manilow song). The rest was fine.
Loved it when it came out. Love it now. Love the Crowes period.
Never heard of these guys. A pleasant surprise. All the other reviews seem similar...somewhere between Cold Play and Radiohead. I agree. Very solid, occasionally catchy, not memorable but definitely listenable..
Way better than expected. More melodic and skilled than I thought. Not a gimmick band at all. Will play this again for sure
What a show this must've been. The band is great. 1960! Album is fantastic. Had me moving sided to side and smiling.
His talent is undeniable. Hard Rain and Blowing in the Wind are all timers. The harmonica and droning voice make listening to too much Dylan irritating. This is way better than his later mumbling droning tho.
Interesting like a soundtrack to a foreign film where I have no idea what’s going on but don’t even think of turning off.
Not their best. Stones Bangers of course, the rest was dated and not at all special.
Varying moods and tempos is a great way to describe this listenable sometimes grooving otherwise forgettable album.
The album sounded like one long song. Their most popular songs are good, or I just know them from the radio. The rest sounds similar but unmemorable.
Kinda like the Mamas and the Pappas without any catchy tunes. Forgettable.
I got my hair cut correct like Anthony Mason….these guys are the best.
His talent is undeniable. on site I just can’t get out of my head. The rest is all just so unnecessarily vulgar. I wonder if he can wrap without using the N-word. or or using somebody else’s samples and voice. oh yeah, he’s also an antisemite I have a hard time separating the art from the artist
I like them a lot more when they’re more blues than psychedelic. The organ can get particularly irritating on some songs as can Jim Morrison’s ramblings. I’m not a huge Doors fan, but their hits are undeniable
How did this album ever get made? They are so unique and gimmicky. Their hits are annoying.....the rest is too.
Earlier Queen rocked harder than I thought. Less Freddy Mercury than I knew them for but very good!
So enjoyable and better than I though musically. A LOT of today's stuff was recognizable in this 1974 gem. Samples, riffs, styles. Bob Marley rules.
One all time song and an all time artist. Short and sweet and unmistakably Al Green.
Just really enjoyed the album as a whole. Couple of all time tunes help.
Sounded like rejected video game background songs.
So serious. Each song seems to have a serious message or story. He is interesting and talented and sometimes nails it with an all timer like Games Without Frontiers.
Noisy. One memorable tune. Maybe.
Respect.
Couldn’t get through this garbage. So over produced. Was it an actual play? If so, who wanted to see it? I was hoping for more.
6 albums! Nope. It is not in the spirit of this exercise. I refuse to listen. 3 hours and 15 minutes = 1.
I never knew Janis Joplin sang with a band....or never really gave it a thought until now. Very good, not great. Her voice tho.
I didn’t like them back then and I still don’t like them now. This is not very good
She is just an all-time voice for me.
Learned a bunch about the origins of CSNY listening to this. Some gems, a familiar pleasing sound and a few very very slow songs (I'm guessing Neil Young's influence). Twas OK.
Never heard of him....or didn't know he was the sound track to Good Will Hunting. Was good. Sounded like the Plain White T's.....chill folky acousticy backgroundy stuff.
It wasn't available on Spotify....altho he had a ton of other music on there. Not everyday listening type stuff....fine background jazz.
The epitome of hard rock and roll.
Back to Back AC/DC albums kinda makes you have to pick a favorite.....this one came in second.
Way better than expected. I enjoyed her sound.
I didn't know just how much I loved Cee Lo's voice. Singing. Rapping. Just speaking. I seemed to sing along with half the songs and I had never heard any of 'em. The guy makes great sounding music.
15 songs about losing love did not have me optimistic about this album. Thankfully it wasn't droning and had the banger To Be Young. Exceeded expectations.
Excellent album....4 real bangers. Impressive.
So solid. Just a little long.
Don’t you want me saved this crap album from being. 1
This may have been the first longform rock album I ever listened to. The greatest rock power trio of all time. This may not be their best or my favorite, but it’s still awesome
An amazing first album. Four out of the eight songs are all time greats including two of my favorites in Simple Man and Tuesday’s gone.
Wish they still made albums.
She is very good and a very particular flavor.
The Weight is so good.....the rest of the album sounds similar just without any really really good songs. Would have loved to see them live.
Overrated! (I just listened to Carol King/Joni Mitchell previously - maybe I am just fatigued?)
Played it at my desk working. Very chill. Barely noticed it was on....or when it was over. Better than Mariah tho!
Pretty good. Interesting. Can hear a lot of different influences. Dynamic sound and an enchanting voice. Not sure what I was expecting, but this one surprised.
To Pimp a Butterfly was a way better album by my estimation. This one was good....just didn't hit me the same way.
Noisy, distorted, echoey, very ok weird alt-rock. Not my jam.
Didn't realize Tainted Love was only 2:33 long....the rest of the 1 hour and 12 minutes was stylistic and just not for my ears. Sex dwarf LOL!!!!!!
I just don't appreciate the Elvis lore. A couple of popular tunes make this better than a 1 for me: In the Ghetto and Suspicious Minds and a lot of echoes and production.
Meh
This sucked. Sounded like a miserable musical.
Depression music.
Depressing rock anthems. I wanted to like them more.
Not for me. Felt like unpolished wanna be Go Gos. Then I learned they came first. Still not for me.
Only slightly better than Nick Cave and he sucked.
The music just feels big and polished. Couple of all time tunes. Good album indeed.
Probably my favorite Bowie from beginning to end. Rock ‘n’ roll forward really good
I can hear the influences it had on modern hip hop/rap. I’d bet it ranks high with rap historians. Good album.
Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Don’t look Back in Anger are all epic!!!! A lot of the rest feels a bit cheesy.
I really don't care too much for Bob, but can't deny his greatness and relevance to the times and music at large.
Spa music! Wonderful guitar and a unique relaxing background sound.
Its like The Girl From Ipanema went on for 17 songs. Pleasant enough background music.
A very strong 4. Even there lesser know or weaker stuff is great. No holes. Just not epic.
Its rich, more like robust. Like he used every knob in the sound room and every instrument in the studio and used that constantly irritating beach boys harmony.
Not my jam - not bad, just not good either.
Superfly is so cool. Pusherman and Freddies Dead are fun. Such a vibe.
I suppose the reason there are no real big bands anymore was because these guys mastered it. Also, it just feels old, but it should. Great background ambience.
Short polished moody folk tunes. A little too sad feeling for me.
Pretty good. Like a polished Ramones.
Hate the artist....not the art.
Outstanding. Every song.
Wanted to like it more. Not a fan of overly vulgar stuff.
Somewhere between early Paul Simon and Jewel just not nearly as good as either
Wild album....43 songs. Punk, rock, country-ish at times. 2 minute songs that just feel like 4 good friends jamming. I think I heard the Jackass theme in there (Corona).
Lots of hype. Was really just OK for me. Great guitar work and a pleasing sound but nothing I wanted to hear again.
Underwhelming. Was fine.
Same as last. Underwhelming and fine.
Typical Neil Young, just after you like a song he puts you to sleep with the next one.
I definitely like good Blues music - just no too much and not too slow. This is good.
An old favorite. It can ramble at times but that's part of the beauty.
Bob Dylan meets the Birds with some CSN. 11 songs in under 30! Solid and enjoyable. Never heard this pretty specific era album.
Frenetic! I am not a fan of a "truly challenging listening experience"....didn't totally suck.
4 all time songs and they may not even be the best 4 on this awesome album.
Beloved for a reason. Hard to separate the art from the artist......Roger Waters is an anti-Semite. Needs to be noted in my opinion.
A psychedelic mess
Sweet album cover - the rest was kinda unlistenable. Punk, ska without a good sound or songs.
Morrissey is a mood. I like the guitar work. I didn't love it, but appreciated it.
Weird video game music.
Nice to meet you Mr Buckley. You’re album was fine.
Repetitive driving workout music. Could've been Prodigy for all I knew. Solid in certain settings.....but then again, so is most music.
A splendid album. All time songs and great covers with exceptional production value.
She has some memorable old time tunes (Mama Said, Mockingbird)....I just don't like this particular style of songbird.
All over the places styles. World music, calypso, hip hop. Kinda dug it! Don't love the interludes, but it does give it an old school radio vibe at times. Would play again.
Great album. Heard some tunes I never listed to before cementing my love for Jack White. Strong 4.
Absolutely loved this album.
Maybe I'm Amazed is just an all timer. The rest was good. Lo-fi and groovy.
I need to listen to this one again when I am in the mood for some serious background mood music.
Its not their best, but so hard to give this anything other than a 5!
Delightful. Felt historically relevant and important. Jazz. Blues. Rocknroll. Everyone pulled from this!
Very very good hard rock/metal. A little heavy on the hell/devil stuff. No single banger, but a very good album
I love the Talking Heads. Psycho Killer is an all timer, Few other good memorable tunes. Just too many OK songs here (16). They have better albums.
Started strong and faded fast. Just not my jam
Didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. Was fine...at best. Electronica is not my jam.
It was delightful and at times irritating. He is definitely a master song writer with an distinct sound and delivery. When it works its awesome movie music. Not all of the 17 songs work...specially the spritual/god crap,
Got half way thru this sad sack of crap album before I started to FF the melancholy. Not at all what I want from Beck.
A very good album from a very good artist. Unmistakable soulful voice.
Like a Prayer is an all time banger, Cherish and Express Yourself are up there too. A few stinkers in there that keep this album from being a 5.
I wasn't expecting to like this, but really did. More and more as it went on too.
Same Ol Neil Young....one great song, one that puts ya to sleep. Altho this album was more sleepy than up.
Pretty solid - unremarkable but good. Wasn't expecting to like it, seemed like it was a polarizing album for critics.
Fuckin Neil Young man. Great song, sleepy, upbeat, sleepy, rockin, annoying, melodic, sleepy again. He's just got too much material.
Its essentially 2 long albums. 40 songs/2 discs/2+ hours. Speakerboxx was a 3, The Love Below was a 4. 3 certified bangers in Hey Ya, I like the Way and Roses.
Maybe the best theme song of all time? Its up there. The rest is fun and of that era. Horn sections, wind sections and a touch of Isaac (he doesn't sing that much). Was fun and fine.
