Frampton Comes Alive

Es un clásico, al parecer, pero no me llena mucho.

"If ever an album title was in dire need of an exclamation mark It surely had to be Frampton Comes Alive!" ("Third Track Main Camera Four Minutes" by Half Man Half Biscuit. 2000) I saw Frampton support Deep Purple in 2004, and he was just as good as you would expect. This album is an absolute belter! One of the easiest 5's I'll give.

Some really great moments. "Jumping Jack Flash" for blues, "Baby I Love Your Way" for pop/rock. Much of it though is a bit too down the middle to make a stronger statement. The album also suffers the same fate as so many live albums. If you were there, the feelings are intensified. If you weren't (like virtually all listeners younger than 60), it's just a standard classic rock album with inferior recording and extra long vamps. Do you feel like I feel?

Pretty dull on the whole, not list-worthy in my book. The three 'hits' are alright though - I do like a good talk box solo.

I’m not a huge fan of live albums in general, he is of course very talented. My favorite was show me the way and it would have been so you feel (like we do) if it wasn’t fourteen minutes long- maybe 8 minutes would have been enough.

wow! what an album! I knew Peter Frampton by name (and of course I know the absolute banger that is Baby, I love your way). But I didn't realize how much I would love his work. Especially as a Live album which is even more impressive. Jammed out the full 14 minutes of Do You Feel Like We Do. Lines On My Face, Jumping Jack Flash, (I'll Give You) Money, I Wanna Go To The Sun, and of course Show Me The Way were all standouts.

There's a great line in Wayne's World 2 that says, "Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of Tide." That really sums up this album. It's well recorded suburban 70s rock. It is completely inoffensive and safe. There's nothing new here and that's ok. Frampton is a great guitar player, and his band is tight and sounds great especially for playing live. Some of these songs are in heavy rotation on classic rock radio (you know the ones) and overall this album is pleasant. It was insanely successful and obviously fulfilled some market at the time and remains in interesting insight into what was popular in 1976.

All I Want to Be and Wind of Change were the low water mark for me on this album. Baby I Love Your Way is sounding schmaltzy now though it was definitely the stuff of slow dances in middle school. I Wanna Go to the Sun is pretty miserable. Money, Shine On is the same. The Only song that stands for me is Do you feel, and honestly I feel it's gimmicky.

Definitely a product of its time that still holds up. This album was beyond huge when it was released, ruling the charts for almost 2 years. Fun fact: I got to see Peter Frampton open for Steve Miller in 2018. Frampton covered "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden in a huge tribute to Chris Cornell, and of course played the three big hits from this album. It should have been the other way around. Steve Miller should have been opening up for the legendary Peter Frampton.

San Francisco has a lot to answer for.

That's not Bowie on the cover, but the man is distinctly of the same vintage. Not the best place to start from, but Frampton does a decent job. Most of the album is proficient. The talkbox helps the band sound a little bigger, but it's relegated to a novelty. Anyway, the audience clearly digs it, elevating the project somewhat in this format.

Is "Peter Frampton Comes Alive" the music equivalent of "Disney on Ice?" I can honestly say that Disney on Ice is not as good as most Disney experiences, perhaps is rivals the Disney Store experiences. Frampton Alive, like DoI, seems to be capitalizing on adding another extension to the brand. However, I don't know the Frampton Brand, so I don't have anything to really compare it to. But I get it, this is a LIVE performance album. This album is LIVE mellow gold softies. I bet Stanley Roper, Jack, Janet and Crissy are in the front row. Great voice and show and strong guitar talent, but unlike Three's Company, this performance is soon forgettable.

“Frampton Comes Alive!” needs to come with the 1001 disclaimer of a live album that unfairly essentially serves as a greatest hits, and isn’t even from one live performance. But it is a really notable album and the one that really put Peter Frampton on the map. The talk-box has also become part of Frampton’s signature, and even though it is gimmicky and was only used sparingly on “Frampton Comes Alive!,” the talk-box solo on this epic version of “Do You Feel Like We Do” is pretty rad. Frampton generally delivers some quality classic rock, some excellent guitar playing, and perhaps the creation of yacht rock on “Baby, I Love Your Way.”

Is Peter Frampton Yacht Rock? "Baby, I Love Your Way" screams Yacht Rock to me but the rest is fine classic rock.

Not too bad. Not too good. Just OK. I take offense with another “live” album that is recorded over multiple shows and has studio overdubs on it. That’s not what I think I’m getting when “live” is advertised. I suppose almost the whole recording was taken from live performances, even if they weren’t all from the same show. But the overdubs are definitively false advertising. The talk box on Do You Feel Like We Do is cool, but it’s a gimmick after all. Not enough to boost this album. As I do, I’ll mention another related album that should be on the list: The Dave Matthews Band Live At Red Rocks (L@RR). How is it related? Well, it’s live. Wanna know how L@RR is not related to Frampton Comes Alive!? It was recorded during one show and not overdubbed. L@RR is one of the only jam bandy albums I like. It’s full of energy, more so than the corresponding studio takes. This is the album that got me into The DMB, and boy was I hooked. I annoyed the fuck out of my first year uni mates by putting Watchtower loudly on repeat far too many times than I care to admit. Of the bands I’ve noticed are not on any of the 1001 albums versions so far, the biggest omission is The DMB due to their popularity, longevity, and unique sound. I don’t get it other than they must have not become popular enough in the UK to displace Bowie’s 8th best offering.

I wouldn't regret going to the concert. 3.5

I discovered this album as a young girl and was obsessed with it. Amazing or am I just reminiscing? It's still yhe only LIVE album that I can listen to.

Good classic rock album, but considering its a live album its pretty amazing. sometimes I forgot it was live until I heard the crowd cheering again.

I've never understood how Frampton went from a somewhat struggling solo career to selling eleven million copies of this. Having heard it in full for the first time I can remember, I still don't understand. It's kind of peak mid-70s rock, I don't know why the live versions of these songs sold so well when their studio originals didn't, I have no great urge to hunt up those studio originals now, nor indeed to hear this album again. Points for obvious ability and skill and all that, but I don't care.

Dad rock you don't need to pay attention to. Peter has a steady hand, he doesn't need you to check in on him. He'll just keep going competently until you tell him to stop.

Doobie Wah is fun and smooth. Fairly enjoyable.

One of the greatest live albums of all time. I loved everything about this album. Frampton is one of the all time guitar greats.

It has been more than 40 years since I put this album on a turntable and set back to listen to it. When it was released it was everywhere and Do You Feel Like I Do was the anthem that defined the year it was released. Well this was a very enjoyable stroll down memory lane. The songs hold up very very well, (Helped by the fact that the vinyl copy I have is almost dead quiet and sounds awesome. Tyîcal of A & M releases back in the day. There are a couple duds....Jumping Jack Flash is totally unnecessary and uninspired but the hilights are very high and Frampton's guitar playing always tasteful...something I appreciate more now than I did then. This is a fince 70s live album that has stood the test of time. 4.5 stars

Pues es un buen en vivo. Sólo conozco de antes Baby, I Love Your Way y el resto de las canciones no son malas pero para mi nada memorables. 2.5 que bajo a 2 porque seguramente mañana no recordaré este album.

Fuera de la que pasaban siempre en Universal, no conocía más rolas aunque la portada del disco sí. De hecho me parecía rara porque la cara del tipo no me cuadra del todo con la música y la guitarra que toca. De cualquier manera, me parece un buen disco en vivo, especialmente considerando la guitarra que él toca. Y aunque la rola más famosa es medio de hueva, la verdad es que otras del disco le hacen justicia. Por otro lado, de Frampton no conozco nada nada nada más. Ni siquiera estaba seguro si tal vez era exmiembro de otra banda o algo así y resulta que no, que todo su éxito fue como solista y que sigue vivo y sacando cosas.

I really dislike Live albums as is. I don't think this album was bad. But I think it was so fucking boring I couldn't make it all the way through.

I mean, it's one of my bugbears... A live album, so a lot of stuff that may have sounded much better sounds muddy and stodgy. But it does have the sublime Baby I Love Your Way too. It's mostly an album full of promise, and I will have to go back and enjoy studio versions of the songs at some point.

A live double album? What did I ever do to deserve this? Fucking Frampton. He's got a couple of bops, no doubt. But listening to one of them for 4 1/2 minutes on the radio is the correct dosage. I hate listening to people clap and whoop and holler during recorded music.

If I hadn't listened to this live album, I would have rated it much lower. However, listening to this album live, I understood Frampton as an artist and why he's so loved. "Do You Feel Like We Do" is 14 minutes of the guitar having its shine and let's also talk about "Jumping Jack Flash" which was a fun song to get just a glimpse of what it was like to see Frampton live. Thanks to the generator for letting me finally hear Peter Frampton and actually enjoy it. Standout songs: All I Want To Be (Is By Your Side), Jumping Jack Flash, Do You Feel Like We Do, Shine On.

Frampton Comes Alive has always intrigued me by the fact that the live versions of these (great) songs are the defacto versions....you never hear the studio versions anywhere. I need to go back and listen to the studio versions just to compare, but the album (and the use of the talk box) is great. Would have been a great show to see back in the day. 4/5

I'm generally not a fan of live albums so we will see what my impression is going on. Thought the 2nd song sounded familiar but wasn't quite what I was thinking of. Doobie Wah kind of reminded me of the Doobie Bros sound a bit. I like the sounds, will definitely give this album a second listen.

Except for the songs that get radio play, this album is drab. No wonder punk rock happened.

I understand that this live album was Frampton's breakthrough, but I really don't understand why some people prefer to hear live recordings over studio recordings. It's simply the inferior version to me. That said, even though I'd wish these were the same songs but in studio quality, I really like Peter Frampton and enjoyed listening to this album. While the studio versions might be 4.5 stars to me, this is still 3.5 stars. Rounding up because most other albums from last week were a lot worse than this one.

A great live performance demonstrating not just his soft rock specialties but his superb guitar playing proficiency.

Frampton's live album was a good stadium rock album. Never heard of Frampton himself, but didn't realise he was the one behind 'Baby I Love the Way'. You can really feel the energy of the crowd in this one, and after 2.5 years of no live music from COVID it felt really good to hear. Best: Baby I Love the Way Worst: Lines on My Face

It is a great record filled with anthemic songs to sing out loud, at least that’s what you can tell by the people in that concert. In my case, I think I may need to listen to those songs often to let them grow on me.

Pretty dope album. Although outside of the 'hits' it doesn't make much of an impression. But the high points are very very high. Capping it off with 'Do You Feel Like We Do' is fantastic. 7/10

This is a classic live album, and great fun to listen to. It showcases Peter Frampton's talents better than any of his studio albums at the time could. He really is an excellent guitarist and he's so likeable, you can't help but be in a good mood listening to these songs. The quality of individual songs is somewhat uneven, with some absolute classics mixed in with other songs that are well-played, but ultimately unmemorable. "Show Me the Way" is just lovely, and something I will gladly listen to every day forever. Fave Songs: Show Me the Way, Do You Feel Like We Do, Baby I Love Your Way, Doobie Wah, Penny for Your Thoughts

Amazing album from an icon of R&B

Fine, but quite boring. Again, why was this so popular? (And far too long… If he wasn’t very successful, why did he get a lavishly produced live album, and who is watching?!)

This being a live album biases me against it, but it has some good qualities. I think the quieter, more spare songs help give the album some relief, and you can hear in those songs the crowd's respect. The talk box stuff is fun. The Jumping Jack Flash cover is bad. The guitar work is pleasing, very skillful in the more uptempo songs. Mixed bag.

Not a huge fan of live albums in general and this one is particularly annoying in that the crowd is continually hooting and howling and whistling in the middle of the songs, which was absolutely a conscious choice to mic them and incorporate that element prominently in the mix. The guitar playing seems to be the centerpiece here but unfortunately I feel like the songs themselves are just mediocre so that it all comes across flat. The final strike against it is that it's simply unnecessarily too long as a double album.

I can't say I get Peter Frampton, maybe it's just not my thing. Nothing here is bad but I really don't care about it at all, so I'm wavering between a 2 and a 3, but I'll round up for "talent" I suppose.

Just an extremely tight set. After reviewing Bob Dylan's "At Royal Albert Hall" immediately before this, this is a breath of fresh air. The crowd is super into it, and Frampton brings across a super bubbly, buoyant, and fun set. It doesn't break the mold or anything, just wonderful rock n' roll. Favorite tracks: "Show Me the Way", "All I Want to Be", "Baby, I Love Your Way"

Predugačko, još je uživo, ali nije to toliko ni loše koliko sam mislio. Dosadnjikavo u neku ruku, da, al što ide dalje je bolje. Btw. Ako slučajno napišeš pjesmu koja nosi naziv Wind of Change, i ne bude dobra, kupi prnje! U ovom slučaju ovdje je ta pjesma najbolja. Baby I Love Your Way je čak poznata, ne znam otkle mi, garant neki film, il neki vrag, isto nije loša te se dobrima pridružuju još I Wanna go to the Sun i divan instrumental Penny For Your Thoughts. Ovo ostalo je oke.

I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't 77 minutes of Frampton with his effing talk box, but it was still a mediocre guitar rock concert. There were about half a dozen songs that the crowd pretended to like, a self-indulgent not-that-great Stones cover, and a couple of good tunes. Oh, and a talk box finale that made me want to play in traffic. Best track: Baby, I Love Your Way

Honestly I found most of the record kind of boring, but the last 3 songs really bumped it up to a solid 3, particularly the closer. I see why that blew people’s minds in the mid 70s.

WHAT A SLOG. I mean I enjoy these songs out of context and think the playing is great. Even in terms of being a live record, this is atrocious. The only thing saving it from a 1 is the excellent talent displayed.

I listened to this a couple weeks ago and forgot about it completely. Thought I had rated it but I guess I didn't. Giving it a 3 which seems charitable for a record that doesn't ring a bell...

This is another one I never actually listened to. I was actually embarrassed to admit that I never heard it. The way some people talked about it, I thought this was some iconic, Queen at Live-Aid, type of show that I just never experienced. Alas, I am disappointed. Maybe if I had seen the show live - or even on TV - I'd feel differently, but I don't get it. It was good. Just good. I thought Peter Frampton "coming alive" would serve to set him apart somehow. It doesn't. The songs are good "70's rock playlist" material - I don't think I'd ever complain if someone played them at a party. His vocals are okay, but definitely not compared to some of the other singers of the day. Likewise for his guitar playing - he's really good, but probably not even top 10 among others that were touring in the mid-70s. (Although "Penny for Your Thoughts" was technically impressive). Maybe I built it up too much in my head? But I don't think so.

Better than I thought

There's absolutely nothing like the feeling of live music, but I've never been a fan of live albums. They don't give you the feel of being there, they don't sound as good as a studio album, and every flaw or random noise is annoyingly repeated every time you listen. This one, however, is justifiably at the top of live albums. "Do You Feel Like We Do" does make me wish I were there, and probably gives the best feel of a live event. And the talk box (along with the crowd reaction to it) is still, very, very cool. It was my favorite part of the album and I enjoyed the full 14 minutes. The other singles from the album are classics, but have never been favorites of mine. Beyond that, it was an hour of similar, well-performed stuff.

I'm having another ohhhhhhhhhh-I-get-it-now moment. I've heard bits of this my whole life but never sat through the whole thing and kind of didn't think I'd like it that much. I listened to the 35th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, 1 hour and 46 minutes of music that I didn't want to end. Frampton's musicianship is astounding --- there's plenty of impressively spoodly electric guitar solos but then there's some lovely acoustic technique in Penny for your Thoughts and All I Wanna Be. And his voice! Smooth and lovely throughout, lots of variation. None of the fatigue or pitch problems you can sometimes hear in live recordings. I think of Frampton as a great guitarist but he can really really sing and he seems to be an incredible showman. In addition to the singles I was familiar with, I fell in love with several of these songs during this listen: Wind of Change, All I Wanna Be, I Wanna Go to the Sun, Shine On, and White Sugar. I didn't really love the cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash --- it just didn't seem to have teeth for some reason --- but I have renewed appreciation for Do You Feel Like We Do, all 14 minutes of it. So great!

I've listened to this album many times, but probably not since the early 80s when my sister moved out of our house and took her album collection with her. Live albums aren't usually my jam as I generally prefer the cleaner sound of a studio recording. The crowd and background sounds are often distracting to me . Was that sound at the 0:55 mark in Wind of Change the sound of - a gunshot? balloon popping...? I quite enjoyed listening to this album though. It is well recorded and I enjoyed the 70s arena rock vibe. Even the 14 minutes of "Do You Feel Like We Do" didn't wear on me. Frampton's songs are solid 70s rock and he knows how to deliver them live. FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE! is easy to like as the big hits I am familiar with were actually from this album. There is an intensity Frampton's live performance brings that explains why this is one of the greatest live rock recordings.

Strong 4 stars. First disc - great. I had no idea that “show me the way” and “baby I love your way” were from this live album. Second disc - good. A lot of energy but I’m worn out by jumpin jack flash.

This album is such a wonderful trip for me on two levels. First, on the nostalgia front, it brings me back to summers of my youth when these songs played on the radio and the energy was fantastic. Next, for me as a present-day listener, I hear and appreciate the music in a whole new way. The songs are a lot fun, they hold up well in the harsh light of time's passing, and I am blown away by the musicians, all of them. Bob Mayo's keys are on another level. I could listen to his keyboard solo on 'Do You Feel Like We Do' go on for hours. And Frampton's guitar playing...wow. Growing up, I somehow missed his being on the level of the other rock guitar gods I adored. I know now. Related Note: I recently discovered an album he recorded just a couple years ago, 'All Blues,' which is outstanding. He's still a true artist on the guitar. Back to this album: Yes, definitely one of the all-time greats. If the only song on it were 'Do You Feel Like We Do,' I'd still believe it's worthy of this list. Final Note: fans of Peter Frampton should see Rick Beato's "What Makes This Song Great?" episode on 'Do You Feel Like We Do' as well as the few other Peter Frampton-focused videos on Rick Beato's YouTube channel. Absolute worth watching.

It's a live album... beyond the talky guitar thing there's no much remarkable here. I'm going to check out the studio albums next though.

I know I've listened to this a few times. The fact that I never bought it during my CD buying heyday doesn't particularly bode well? Something's Happening is a decent song that gets really good when the singing stops and he plays that guitar which is still pretty impressive. There's a bunch of acoustic songs here that are a real snooze. We're here for ONE reason Pete, and that's to hear you make teh guitar talk kinda... Baby, I love Your Way is a shitty song, but I don't hate it because I associate it with that scene in High Fidelity. I like crowd noise on live albums, but I gotta admit, Penny For Your Thoughts woudl be better without some dumbshit going "YOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!" every 15 seconds Another song started and I was about to be liek "jesus, now he's ripping off the Stones!" but then he started singing and it's a cover of Jumpin jack Flash. (not a particularly great one? But it's a pretty great song and the guitar solo is good so it's all good) I was sort of negative leaning going in and many of my comments maybe sound like I didn't like it, but there wasn't anything I outright DISliked and there area few things that I really enjoyed. As stupid and cliche as it is? It's really fuckign awesonme when he makes his guitar go OOOOOOOOOUUUUUUEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHLLLLAAAAAAAAKKKKEEEEEDOOOO

Heard of this one, but had never listened to it before. A decent live album, though I’m not sure why it was as popular as it was.

It's good! Some solid 70s rock. I'm not really a fan of live albums (I think I'm just too young to appreciate them), but I'm glad I listened to it.

Schlocky, but sometimes fun. "Do You Feel Like We Do?" may have sounded thrilling in 1976 but now it's a little indulgent.

A bit bland , and it gets boring towards the middle , but overall a godd album 3/5

I recognize the Baby I love Your Way song from the Jumanji movie with The Rock, (ha). Solid smooth rock album thus far. That being said....at some point rock starts to blur and sound all the same to me, lol sorry.

As usual, dreading the receipt of a live album. It seems this is the only Frampton album on the list though, so I'll have to make do. This has the recognizable hits, which were nice, and it makes me wonder if I've even heard the studio versions of these tracks? I don't know, and frankly I'm tired. Still, better than the Deep Purple live atrocity recently. A few hits I'll walk away with, but two live albums in a week feels like punishment. Favorite tracks: Show Me the Way, Baby I Love Your Way (what is this guy's obsession with ways?), Penny for Your Thoughts. Album art: Honestly, a hazy close-up does more for me than the typical live performance photo. The exclamation mark is funny. Like an old-timey spinning newspaper headline. 2.5/5

This is p cool, bit of 70s rock. I've never actually listened to Peter Frampton before but I know he's considered one of the greats. I still dunno how I feel about live albums on the list, and it IS a bit of a stretch at 78min of music I've never heard before (except baby I love your way), and this felt like it was really hammered home when the last track ended up being an extended jam, but this is still a 3/5 overall.

I believe the only reason why this album is included on the list is because it sold like hot cakes in the 70s. One of the best selling live albums of all times. But personally I don't see the hype. It's decent classic rock. It has three classic radio staples, including a 14 minute "Do you feel like we do". I think it's the longest song I have liked on Spotify, so that says something about how bearable it is. The live audience helps keep that and many other songs stay alive, which helps get through the sheer length of the album. Many of the tracks are just bad or boring, and I didn't even realize there was a Rolling Stones cover because of how generic it sounded like the others. However, besides the radio staples, there are several songs I like (e.g. Doobie Wah), and this live album does demonstrate Frampton's talent better than any of his studio albums do.

Fantastic album. I haven't listened to it before, but I'm sure I'll be listening again sometime. 3RS

Phenomenal musicality. Was expecting more ear worms. But definitely an album if you want something funky and crowd-pleasing that's upbeat but not overbearing.

Good for some people but not for me.

Great live album. Vast majority of this album playa on radio already. Good songwriter, connects with the audience and he sounds like he is having fun at this show in SF. Frampton understands his craft and changes the gimmick of his voice box into more than that. He doesn't overuse it, but it becomes part of his toolbox.

Truly excellent live album, the crowd is really into the vocoder thing that Frampton uses, and it sounds cool! Some of quintessential Frampton tracks are on here!

Остальное ну так, но послушать можно, есть какие-то интересные места, которые отличают этого Фрэмптона от банальных роцкенрольщиков. Правда, то что это двойной живой альбом — серьёзный блять минус, ибо ну невыносимо иногда такую длину больше одного раза прогнать. Но при этом свой шарм тоже даёт — пару раз в голос угорал с того как на записи люди верещат после каждой ноты, начинают кашлять, уходить, кто-то крикнул «хуй!» на 49 минуте альбоме... не, не крикнул, можете не слушать, не проверять. ну 6, короче

Очень скучная хрень. Всё вроде бы понятно, местами приятно, но очень скучно. И ещё не понятно, в чём тут прикол лайва. В случае с Нилом Янгом это звучало хотя бы чисто, интересно и красиво. А тут же будто типикал лайв роцк-альбом, склёпанный для фанатов. Но нет, эта запись ещё и лучше студийников оценена (или так же)! В принципе, даю отчёт, то если услышу в дороге, головой покиваю, но ныне не пропёрся.

don't get it

I don't think I'm smart enough for this album. The lyrics are basically poetry and the rhythms go way past standard 4/4. Due to Nick Drake being such a loner, he had no one else playing on this work, but he could have been huge if he could have collaborated with others. It's also why I can't rate it highly. Sure, pink moon is good and technically it is all good, but this is a 3.5 or a 7 out of 10. It just needs more and I don't think he had written his opus before he died. This was just a taste.

Não conheço nada deste senhor nem sei que é nem o que toca, mas o álbum tinha uma boa energia e era divertido, o mal é que era demasiado longo pois a certo momento pois a sonoridade era muito parecida. More 70s, all fine but of another era

It's a solid live album, it has a couple of songs I began to remember from my childhood as I heard them. Yes, it's not anything out of the ordinary and I don't think it "brought anything new to the table" back then, but I also don't think it meant to. It's just an "inoffensive" pleasant album (with a pretty unfortunate Stones cover, I have to say)

I didn’t get passed the first song mainly because I had a lot of meetings yesterday but also because I didn’t like it.

An upbeat, fun and energetic album. Catchy, good natured rock n roll. I don't like hearing the fans on the front stage literally losing their minds, but otherwise I liked pretty much all of it. Really liked "(I'll Give You) Money" and "Baby I Love Your Way".

I got this album after they referenced it in High Fidelity. I imagine people's views on the album change on whether they grew up hearing it all the time or not. As someone who didn't, I enjoyed it. Not a masterpiece, but a lot of solid songs.

Great live album. Although - to be honest - I found it somewhat underwhelming overall this time around.

Bit of a snoozefest. Sounds very 70s. Preferred the middle/second half. I don't really get live albums either - doesn't really capture the excitement of being there, and the production and sound is just bad. Extra cred cos I love Baby I Love Your Way.

I've never really gotten into Peter Frampton, but this album was a fucking phenomenal live album! obviously it had a lot of top hits, but songs like "It's A Plain Shame" and "Shine On" were some songs i've never heard before but dug them!
