Loving the second track father figure! Such a jam.
I love Liberian Girl and Dirty Diana. These totally weird narratives about fake personas are just like amazing time capsules to me. All the other songs are obvious bangers but these two songs about random fictional women are awesome.
Loved this! An overlooked folk classic!! My favorite track was Medley: The Lark in the Morning!
Reminds me of cross of Oasis and Brian Jonestown massacre. Some good jams, but mostly forgettable.
Absolute classic! One of my all time faves of sonic youth and beyond.
I hate this record its a bad mashup of white stripes and the strokes. I get why people like it, i just do not
Just amazing loved every second of this album
Could take it or leave it heard all these songs ad nauseam my whole life if i never heard it again it wouldnt bother me
One of my favorite bands. They have such an extensive catalog i had not previously listened to this one and i loved it!
Fascinating album enjoyed every minute
Classic but every song sounds the same
love it Gaz Coombes reminds me of late great Jay Reatard. I knew of the song "Alright" But its rad to hear the other jams too.
moody great rainy day album
Love Tom petty and the heartbreakers! love american girl! and breakdown!
Loved that it was recorded at Winterland in San Francisco! Also do you feel like i feel is so insanely epic
Amazing album; Hard rains a comin, girl from the north country, and Bob Dylans blues among my favorites.
Freaking awesome; never listened to it... loved it
So many amazing songs. One of the best albums of all time.
Simply the best. One album that moved the needle for me in a big way for appreciating a deeper breadth of music and styles. Down on the Street, TV Eye Dirt 1970 all among my favorite songs ever.
Never listened before and I loved it!
Obviously good at what she does; its just not for me!
Sorry dont hate me i just cant make it thru this album
I had my doubts in the beginning but i ended up reallly enjoying this album!
I love Desired Connections and the two singles, "Who Is It" and "Triumph of a Heart". Amazing album cant imagine the production of this mostly accapella masterpiece.
Classic, have the CD in my truck, cant get enough
Soul Flower Remix! A favorite!!
This album is insane i honsestly didnt think love below could be better than speakerboxx and now i honestly cant decide which i like better! So amazing!
What a cool era for madonna! One of my fave Madonna Erass
Woulda been 5 stars but a little too long lol
So so so difficult to listen to.
Got some good tracks, i bet this band plays at Yoshi's in Oakland. Chill Vaporwave vibes.
Honestly i love this early nineties UK Rave music its so dope. Hearted a song, dug it. The dog hated it...
EZ Five stars, reminds me of late summer in Cincinnati, riding my bicycle back to Liberty Hill from Ault park at dusk...
Bought this album at Academy of Sciences. Heard about it through Amoebas Recommended vinyl collection staples... Used to zone out to this at work... ROYGBIV is legendary
Really pretty noot my style sounded like a cult in the woods in the UK somewhere... strong narratives in the songs... pretty but ignorable and forgettable.
Bruh for real all these songs sound the same wtf
Classic, so many good tracks, a nice short album, golden age of disco giving way to HI NRG and house... amazing.
Perfect Rainy Day mellow chill album gotta play this more
Wow love his collection of covers, so emotive and touching, really loved We'll meet again, Danny Boy, and im so lonesome i could cry
Obivous classic, love the obvious tracks, brass in pocket and stop your sobbing, but i also enjoyed Mystery achievement, Kid, and private life!
So many good jams!!! So bummed its not on spotify! An MF Doom sample on Been so long, and a dancefloor jammer Watch your step, soo soo so awesome!
Mostly Forgettable, Couple good jams like Cruz and the Redman Jam, but i do think this is a good album and she is super talented, im happy for her.
I think its very nice and trippy. For an ambient album it is extremely entertaining. This is definitely early LCD soundsystem inspired tripped out soundscapes you could get stoned to and be totally entertained. Would listen to again.
Of all the jazz music i do not understand i do really enjoy this guy. To be honest he sounds very talented while making music i can enjoy. Most jazz for me is over my head and i dont think it sounds very pretty. This is pretty technically proficient and worth a re-listen.
Honestly i listened to it and it was over before i even. noticed any songs, i should probably listen to it again
TBH it started off like i was gonna like it. its cool they are aussies and i def remember them all over mtv and commercials back in the day. I do love the album art. But there are some songs that really sound like they are on autopilot.
IDK what to say i think the buzzcocks are boring and the singer sounds like geddy lee. "I dont mind" Slaps tho. 3 stars.
Beautiful emotional album love it
Pretty.... PRETTY BORING. lol its nice but not very memorable.
Honestly im not crazy about Dinosaur JR at all. I think they got some good jams but they make me feel like a mopey sad beta boy with low T.
Bangin, production, writinng, melodies, tracks, slappin
Honestly my fav of all the DK records, Jello Biafra is so amazing patron saint of san francisco punk, he is the best. His political outrage and diy attitude to culture jamming should be emulated by futrure generatuions to come
So smooth an sultry real sexy time jams, timeless vibes A+
I want to give it four stars but for real its pretty boring, took me a long time to get thru this album, some great tracks on it, but overall didnt hook me.
Bad ASS! So Fun! sometimes you hear these records an you know how they got so famous
So Chill so shwagged out, killer rainy day sexy time album.
A perfect album a seriously enjoyable listen les go
This is more of a 3.5 i started off not loving the album. But after a while i dug the texture of the production, the glam of the guitar, and the fun lyrics. It sounds like a heavier beatles, like helter skelter but a little more rockin and heavy.
The wikipedia about this album is so interesting. How the bandmembers had to be institutionalized during recording. The roominess of the guitars is a beautiful characteristic. The brother of a bandmember said the album sounded spidery, i def agree.
1ST off i am biased. This is my absolute favorite era of music. It is so nostalgic for me and i love the production. Always so grand, treble-ey, compressed drums, i just love it. easy 4/5.
Pretty happy optimistic album Theres a few really good tracks i enjoy like Angels, old before i die, and Baby girl window.... But tbh i cant really imagine myself revisiting it tho.
An obvious all-time fav and classic. Staple in any collection. Gut feeling, space junk, come back jonee, mogoloid.... Absolute favorite.
1987 is still in the era of my fav music ever. The production quality is just awesome has the best sound of any era of music. Lil' Devil is a hit. Killer Guitar solo during Electric ocean. Definitely heard Bad FUn on the radio at some point. Pretty good but the verses sounds kinda generic. Chorus bops tho. Love Removal machine is a great hi energy good time jammer too.
Only critique of the album is that its super spooky and scary and kind of got to be in a certain vibe to get thru it all. But it has so many songs that can get stuck in your head like "Murder in the red barn" "In the Colleseum" "Earth Died screaming" and then there is some real heavy hitters like "Goin out west" "I dont wanna grow up"
Some good songs like bound 2 and black skinhead, but i cant dig with the overt graphic sexual references and himself calling himself king and god it just sounds corny and lame. Embarassed for some of the collaborators on these songs. 3 stars cause the production and samples/beats are so damn good.
Really loving "What you waitin 4" I love they are singing about house jams again on this record like they do on "Straight out the jungle" from the year before. I love the jungle brothers they sound like de la soul and arrested development. This era of hip hop is classic for a reason. The flow feels just like de la soul where the samples feel like parliament funk samples. Honestly its good and i love the jungle brothers but none of the songs on this album really hook me. Im more bored than anything.
Anticipated a 5, giving it a 3. The Drum solo track is my fave. Im probably to stupid to like it more.
Honestly this album reminds me so much of when i first moved to san francisco. Listneing to High on Fire, Witchcraft, pentagram, electric wizard. For some reason living in the mission made me hellbent on being a motorcycle riding skateboarding metalhead that lived on 24th st. Great memmys.
Better than Throbbing Gristle. Maybe not as good as trout mask replica. But definitely interesting, im scared to say it... but im fairly certain i enjoy it
could never see myself buying this on vinyl ever tho. Definitely some songs remind me of "This Heat"
I had no idea Julian Cope was in Teardrop explodes! Totally makes me want to revisit that band and the rest of Julian Copes catalog! But this album didnt do much for me.
Better than i thought, another album that makes me want to live in London, besides the other obvious banger i dig all the ballads, what a cool album. Even if its cringey white dude rapping.
Cant believe this is Robyn Hitchcocks band im such an idiot! some really catchy tunes! Dig it.
Classic album reminds me so much of Billy and Carl. Great memmys. The boxer. El condor pasa and the only living boy in new york. 5 stars is the only answer.
Did not like it, this prog shit has got to go
Listened thru it 5 times too short I LOVE IT
OMG i hate this album really nothing about it i like. Discordant and total lack of flow. I hated listening to this. Will not listen to again.
Great Album! Such a fun listen, gotta be a staple in anyones collection.
Im not crazy about Ray Charles. All these songs sound like they were written and performed better previously by someone else. Also sounds like a performance while you eat dinner at a tableclothed dinner theater in the 60s drunk on martinis and champagne. But i know hes amazing and these do sound great but the horns and band over power any sort of piano playing going on if any.
Totally spooky and weird but pretty good
Dude i dont know how much i can enjoy a concept album about a middle aged man falling in love with a 15 year old girl.
I love this era of music. Reminds me of The minutemen or the strapping fieldhands, or the gibson brothers. Punk bros who are influenced by country music and just get in and pick like crazy to some pretty uptempo stuff. i love it.
Probably one of the most influential best records my earholes have ever been fortunate enough to receive sonically.
respect it probably never listen to it again
Great album! reminds me of 2004-2005 living in cincinnati going to xavier and hanging with my girlfriend and one of my best friends driving around clifton and northside!
Did not enjoy, i dig skylarking and drums and wires but this stirred nothing in me.
TBH started off strong. To me i loved the beginning but it kinda turned it background generic rock to me to be honest. I dig the idea of a concept album. I think maybe i need to revisit it with more context. Mucho respect tho.
I feel like you are the ultimate music dork if you like this album. I love David and his writing is very touching but i think the songs themselves arent that interesting. Trying to think of the latest bowie album i actually enjoy. Scary monsters and Lets dance are probably the latest. One day i'll get into blackstar.
I like U2 but nothin past Rattle an hum
I love everything about this band and this album
Obviously I cant listen to this dude anymore cause hes a horrible garbage human. Music sounds like a monster made it which now is kinda true. But it is way catchier than i imagine. If you ignore the person it is pretty cool. Also the phenomenon that this album was when it came out was incredible. I will never forget how sppoky and cool he seemed when this first came out, plus my parents hated it.
Beautifully emotional well written album. Sounds beautiful the poetry is amazing. Everything about this is impressive.
Couple goood stand out jams; overall it all beigns to sound the same but i love it! i own this record its good.
Honestly sounded like background music. If i was in a boutique clothing store in london or in a pub in london and it was on i would be like awh! cool! but i didnt save any of the songs and they sounded pretty old corny and dated
I love Siouxsie in the Banshees but this album is kinda boring for me. some good slappers on there tho.
So beautiful i could Cry. I love this heartfelt emotional album. Beautiful voice, beautiful arrangements... Love!
Really cool album reminded me of Eric Vivian. It sounded very new agey free jazzy and soothing. Literally the good kind of noise. would listen to again.
Loved it!!! so many good songs! the best vibes! 4stars cause i didnt really know what they were saying! would love to see them live.
Not my favorite. Beautiful voice. Songs about love pretty ok, but honestly the writing is kind of weird. I feel like maybe a cultural thing... He is from ireland and singing about looking horses in the mouth... But extra points for sounding like a lounge singer singing beautifully in an empty bar.
Thoroughly enjoyed this! definitely coming back to this one
Honestly maybe the only true 5 star album on this whole list. Lovers rock, death or glory, guns of brixton. Such a perfect album
Beautiful! Morrisey does not miss. I love youre the one for me fatty, special place in my heart <3
Interesting, some good moments, not my thing
couple good jams didnt read enough about the band. cool era, cool style, not my favorite
Beautiful Album so many classics love these jams! But not my style. Mad respect tho!
OMG liked it wayyyy more than i anticipated!
Really Enjoyed! Love this African schlaze music, also had a healthy dose of blues riffs in here too! loved it.
Just amazing Perfect the best!
Really Really good really well done, mad respect to everyone who worked on this album! just a little too slow and boring for met. Took me forever to get thru a single listen. like multiple tries
I dig ambient music but this aint for me
I like there other album idk its weird and provactive if i was a teenager in the late sixties i would love it, but im not so its gettin 2 stars
3.5 Honestly beautiful album and i love their musical style and it seems like it was in fit in at a beautful time for music, like music needed beta band at the time. Round down tho cause i only saved one song lol
Absolutely Nuts gotta be the best metal album of all time wtf
Cant play this album without thinking about Cincinnati in 2006. First Internship with My uncle Mark and grandfather. Living on liberty hill for the summer with Drew David and John. Definitely one of the most fun summers of my life.
Most amazing album, my mom played it for us growing up. Danced to have a heart with my mom at my wedding <3
Absolute classic, used to listen to it in my bedroom on bell road. Love it will always love it, makes me cry
beautiful voice and songwriting but not for me
Really good really not in the mood
Sad slow and kinda snoozefest
way too good way better than expected
Rad so nostalgic, so good, love it
Classic incredible need it on vinyl
Awesome! Reminds me of Bonnie Raitt!
Love it super fun would listen to againe
Good but i have no idea why its on this list
Absolutely Perfect beauty of a record
Perfect Album one of the greatest on this whole list definitely near the tippy top
Loved it! Way better than i thought it would be!
One of my fav albums ever!
Perfect album loved every second
Unbelieveable, ive heard most of these songs before but had no idea all these bangers were on the same album and the album was so short and sweet. Such a clear no brainer 5 star album!
So many amazing songs what a great album, another example of mid 90's excellence / brilliance
Honestly a really well made and produced album. I really enjoyed it. Reminds me of being in 5th grade and hanging out with Billy and Carls older sisters
Absolute Banger cool guy album throw it on any time any place
Honestly not too crazy about this one, dig the style but no real hooks, saved the one song about that guys eyes tho.
10 stars, maybe one of the best albums on here possibly
So freaking fun and some full on certified Slappers
So many good jams on this one most CCR albums are 5 bangers
Beautiful songwriting beautiful music, but i dont think i would ever listen to this again. Feels like some emo countryside irish folk music.
Absolute Classic Perfect Album no notes, an all time favorite.
Nothing stood out for me on this album
man TVOTR have one of the coolest original sounds on the planet freakin love these guys
Really good really influential sounds like they were a HUGE influence on the moody blues. But hard to listen straight through.
I honestly really enjoyed it. I definitely would play it at 90s Internet café in the south of market area would listen to again.
Freakin solid album lotta hits all good jams. Little sissiefied from the previous work but still super enjoyable would return to.
So beautiful, so beautiful im giving it an extra STAR!!
Super biased but i love every second of this album
loved it open my eyes to the world of fats I was previously unaware of. excited to dive into his catalog
Better than the other manic street preachers album on this list, pretty compelling given the story of the lead singer at the time but i still did not enjoy it
Cool, Interesting, well produced, sounds older than 99
Amazing Revolutionary changed music! love this aesthetic... best of the east coast art collective warehouse auteurs of the early oughts.
Discovered this dude while on a patio in big sur with hanna and the parker-zimmermans. A band playing slide guitar under redwoods with sun splitting thru the tree fronds onto the deck. 5 STARS
Amazingly influential on me and countless others but some songs are TOO DANG LONG
Honestly good, Really cool its a live concert i love that, i love the soft machine and i need to read up more about them. It reminds me of a freeform jazz concert where they are just jamming noodling no real song or direction, but then moments that are melodic and have form and enjoyable but for the most part you need to be entirely focused on the music for me to enjoy and its a bit exhausting.
I love pretty music, 3.5 stars... Would be 4 but im just not crazy about folk music...
i honestly thought i was going to love this but it was simply just ok
Good! Not amazing, would maybe listen to again? maybe also file it under 2000s british boring rock music too.
beautiful music amazing singer and songwriter
Bro i got thru five songs and was like this albums great 5 stars no problem, and then the rest of the album was pretty bad, like worse than what a band in high school could write so unfortunately now its at a 3star
I have a conflicted relationship with this artist. Some of his music cuts me to the core, whereas the other half, fades into the background. Overall i dig his rocksteady roots on his early albums. But my attention constantly wanes on this album and many of his other contriubutions.
I LOVE PRETTY MUSIC!!! beautiful album by a wonderful northern irish musician. Love this man and love this album.
Garage rock roots! the best!
Not my favorite but I still love it!
Not too hard to get through! super beautiful voice with very beautiful melodies. Enjoy it better than her acapella record! Would maybe listen to it again ? but too experimental for my taste.
Amazing, Incredible, loved every second
HONESTLY NEVER LIKED THIS ALBUM
such an iconic album with an iconic sound and indelible impact on our culture. tragic story about his death, loved listening to this.
All time greatest. Just an amazing sound, iconic, ownable. Reminds me of stephanie garges hanging out in oakland.
Very enjoyable!! reminds me kind of REM and replacements combined maybe. Definitely a great midwest vibe to it... makes me want to find it on cd since its not on spotify.
Easy 5, classic, cant be beat, wikipedia says they wanted to sound like the doors, never heard that, but i see that for sure.
Good songwritingm, Boring music
Rly Rly Rly good will be good forever
Pretty fuckin weird really cool really good
Obvious 5 stars but one deducted cause its kinda boring
Very good will always have a special place in my heart, love the art and design of the album, still love almost all these songs! But AC/DC rocks harder...
Too long and too many insane songs
Definitely the best of the unlistenable albums on this list. Joins the ranks of captain beefheart and throbbing gristle. But this one is much more enjoyable. I could be inspired by this album, maybe paint or draw to it or something. Lot of it sounds like Devo's bizarre demos, curious who is inspired by who.
So easy to listen to, power pop classic, will come back to over and over, got to see em in GGP! Hardly strictly for life!
Honestly boring put me to sleep
Incredible one of the best albums of all time
Very beautiful music weird fusion of a bunch of musical styles, really dont know what to make of it, sounds like it could be by a musician from huntington beach or florida or something, but Im not really crazy about it.
Instant Classic! Amazing! Now I know where those epic tracks from Personal and the Pizzas were inspired from, incredible, i gotta dig in.
Easy 5 stars Alice at his best
Obvi really good and beautiful voice and all but like so effing boring to me i can not
EASY 5 STARS GTF OUTTA HEEAAHHHHH
Kinda cool, reminds me of Viv
Honestly REALLY good i will 100 percent come back and listen to this
Honestly bad ass one of the best themed albums ive ever heard and the content sadly is as relevant as ever, beautiful album
I Honestly think about my wife's old boyfriend and how he made fun of her for listening to Led Zeppelin because it was ripping off old blues musicians, fuck that guy, this album rules. Always has always will. Loved it since I first heard it in my dads oldsmobile aurora growing up.
Huge impact on me, money changes everything, time after time, and When you were mine stick out. Such a classic
Super good, Not terrible, but honestly if it was in a skate video i would probably like it more, too french for me to connect with.
Dig the music, obviously good, but its a lot of background chill music, saved a couple songs, definitely mad respect for this band
Amazing so many good songs on this album and has really stood the test of time.
Honestly i like some hot chip but i do not think this is there best album at all
One of my fav albums by one of my fav musicians! this dude s the best will constantly come back to this one Summer, EPRo, and rental car all sew good
One of my fav albums of all time, Really opened my eyes to music in college. Set me on a cool trajectory to find more underground 80s music. Five stars easy.
NGL not my fav or the best roxy music album, couple good tracks but kinda white noise
Genius, and one of his best eras of geniushood
All time greatest no one can ever step to this album absolute best metal album ever.
Mad Respect, but not for me.
Love this album, classic. And super cool the original version of walk this way is on it. Love both versions of that song.
Honestly i feel like all the songs sound the same. I feel like their first album i listened to hit me like a ton of bricks, but all their material since then bores me. Mad respect for this album having multiple songs with over 248million plays tho 😳
I LOVE PRETTY MUSIC! This is some amazing singer songwriting music, literally top tier, John Prine would be proud.
Honestly I remember it being better but I still think its amazing.
Seriously way too damn cool for its own bidness, i listened to this like 12 or 13 years ago and honestly was kind of whatever about it. But now i think its incredible and i wish there was a movie set to this music its so spooky and cool feels like witchy new orleans voo doo spooky woods music
Couple good jams definitely saved a couple, not my cup of tea overall... good viv album for sure
Had to listen to it twice! So cool... Very proto... Sprawling, wandering, and engaging. Classically influential riffs. Ty Segall definitely picked up where this left off. As did mothers of invention. Very cool would play well at an art school party.
Pretty lame and boring, just listen to steely dan
Fkn 10 stars out of 5! THIS ALBUM IS SO AWESOME! Gets me so hyped. Best version of the Kilmeister since Hawkwind. Love this guy!!!! We are the Road Crew! Chase is better than the catch!
Just amazing perfect time capsule of a really awesome time in music.
Honestly, my sissy loved this album in college and i think i pretended to like it. Honestly its pretty mid, i feel like most becks stuff has such a strong thematic sound but this one is just sleepytown go to bed music and it all blends together. Not in a bad way, just a boring mid way.
good! dont really care about listening to a whole album of ole blue eyes, i think his music is more impactful individually
Beautiful Album, Saved it, need to revisit it soon. All sounded like a mish mash of the same vocals and instruments the entire album. Thought it would be a good album to play my wife to chill her out.
Had to listen to this twice cause i was so bored with it and i forgot everything in it. I dont know if its the mix or what. The musicianship is great but its flat as shit, maybe too many elements. Would sound great at a vintage fair / coffee pop up
Really good 90s power pop! Each song has its own unique vibe making the record feel very eclectic from song to song. Big fan.
Lovely Scottish blokes, sound a lot like echo and the bunneymen, or the classic C86 compilation by NME. Would have been released the same year as Ocean Rain. Really good, listened to it 3 times before rating.
shit man good but idk it kinda resonates me, but these dudes sound like their singing through a mossy muddly log with a giant totoro doll sitting on them
bro i want to like this album but my brain does not work in that way, i can not listen to this without extreme add and immediately turning it to listen to something else, i think i honestly tried 5 times and on the sixth time i almost made it to halfway through the second to last song and gave up. Album art is goated tho
Incredible time period! incredible time for music! excellent production amazing talent, just awesome.
Did not enjoy, boring, could never put this on and actually enjoy it
Cool Time Capsule of a rad LA sound
Loving it! On song three and already saved to of em. Beautiful Lovely album many beautiful songs.
Real boring couldnt get into it, really bland music.
Blown away by how good this album is. Absolutely in awe.
Incredible, so lucky to learn of this beautiful album.
Honestly probably the most iconic Fall album right up there with hex enduction hour and nations saving grace, maybe the number one best. 5 stars absolutely no two ways about it. If u rated it lest than 5 you are wrong and need some new ears.
Trippy story what a cool dude what a cool album
I mean where do i start this has to be my favorite zepp album tied with led zepp IV... Ramble on is my fav Zepp song for sure, whole lotta love is in my top ten, too much rad to put into words.
Had this in college, couldnt get into it... Maybe because i played my music on shuffle and never was ready for it... But holy crap this album has so much depth and would be so good for a sludgy bar in a swamp somewhere or a dirty college bar in a midwest town. I love it.
Honestly some of these albums have an ability to take u back to an epic microcosm of music in culture in history and this album 100percent does that. This takes u str8 backto 1992 and in the best way possible. i would put this album in any situation. too cool.
Crazy this is their first studio album. So many cool things about this album i dont have time to comment. Teenage werewolf and Sunglasses after dark two personal faves
Pretty boring and drab, saved maybe one song, sounded like generic orange juice or prefab sprout.
Good abba album. Which is good. But who cares.
Garage Rock Masterpiece. Absolute Wizard Roky Erikson forever set youth on a path of rock and roll for generations to discover for all eternity. Loved and cherished by the coolest most rocking dudes in San Francisco and Beyond.
OK ok i am so hot and cold with this band, one minute i love them, one minute i am so bored and annoyed by them. Middle of the road
Really nostalgic album for me, takes me back to Columbus Ohio 2009 Era where i had just graduated college and was working and having fun. Great times.
I feel like i have to listen to a lot of these albums multiple times before i pass judgement lol. This album was popular with a friend of mine way back in 2003 and i never got into it. Listening to this the second time in 2 days i still cant but i really enjoy it when i focus on it!
I really dont even know where to begin. Grand pianos smash together when my boy walks down the street! Busby Berkeley dreams? Book of love? So many masterpiece songs, an album full of 1 hit wonders. Maybe the most impactful albums of my life. 10/5
good not the best 1st album better
To be honest I do like Kate Bush i think she is avant garde theatrical creative and cool. I am definitely more of a hounds of love Kate Bush fan, This was cool to listen to but i doubt i will buy the vinyl or revisit it.
I LOVE THIS album!!! A bit over my head, but after listening to it twice it really fits my vibe of 80s era city pop! But Brazilian! great production. Great voice and seems like she died young which is super sad! will definitely revisit and will definitely check out the rest of her catalog!
I really love these live recordings from the sixties. Reminds me of the recordings of Johnny Cash from Folsom. So welll recorded and mastered. From the first track to the last i feel so attentive to the record and hanging on his every word. With the music echoing in and out around his lyrics. Really incredible recording.
Amazing proto glam rock that clearly inspired 1000k musicians. Love hearing the slippery smooth stylings that inspired david bowie.
Honestly i think its cool as shit. Buddies from Ireland cruisin the cali coast writing songs about santa cruz while couch surfing in san francisco and san diego, right up my alley.
Really good but hard to pay attention
Good but i dont care i probably wont listen to this again probably should maybe i will maybe i will force myself to like it.. fuck it.
Great opening track, cadence of this album is so eno and this captures his partnership with singer brian ferry at their best. best roxy album.
Amazing album i found when i was searching for cool music whenever i could. Found this at an awesome point in my life!
I honesly love this album they seem kinda lame and bro-y and all about chicks and getting laid. Im also certain based on the content of their songs they should have gotten cancelled at somepoint in their career but i cant stop listenting to that rodeo song.
Good not great seems like these dudes are just trying to cash in on damon albarns genius and ride his silky smooth voice to the bank.
cool but not cool enough for me to want to listen to unless im running an ultra hip bar or denim store to look down my nose at people with more mainstream taste than me.
the best the best the best the best 10/5
Pleasantly surprised by this one. Loved it. What this list is all about exposing me to great music i never would have heard otherwise. top ten of new stuff.
The aerosmith on this list is all killer no filler
Hippies, love the Bob Dylan diss track
Brilliant exact opposite of "The Rising"
could not get into it i know its good but not for me
i know its good im just not smart enough to enjoy it a cool jazz rock fusion coffee shop vibe with mike meyers doing beat poetry in a north beach bar
one of the greatest albums of all time. probably top five albums to cook to of all time.
Reminds me a lot of public enemy but i believe i prefer the dj and hooks to public enemy. I feel like Michael Franti has a much more informed pointed message than public enemy, more akin to gil scot heron. I do love the music and dj of this, but the message definitely is more the focus of this project.
One of my fav albums of mine later in life like in my mid 30s such a vibe of mid nineties london not like i would know just wat i imagine innit
Could be on the soundtrack of a jason bourne movie when they travel to the middle east
Fav artist Portishead at their prime. Too good.
Never heard of this or listened to it, love it! 5 bagger!
crazy to hear how raw these dudes are even on a major label release what a cool album
Boring covers of popular songs but sound good as background music
Fun real good Tom Waits album! One of his better ones no doubt!
I mean obviously a landmark slapper album. But never really made an impact on me when it came out and i get the production and maybe the raps/bars/rhymes/flow but i know he doesnt smoke or drink and it just sounds like hes cosplaying. not a fan.
Broh i cant even with this. It is too good for words. Everything about it is paradigm shifting life changing artistry. Ultimate creative genius. All my love to this artist forever and ever.
Not my style i dont even think its that good
Good kinda boring but good
HEAVY. HEAVY RIFFS. Some fav jams on this.
Way better than i expected
Seriously so beautiful, little over my head need to research and learn more about this artist
IDEK i think there is something lost in translation here. maybe serge gainsborg really liked him... cant tell if its opera influenced or a french frank sinatra wannabee.
Holy shit just the best. My sister Liz got be this for my bday when she got back from MICA and it fully blew my mind. definitely one of the greatest albums of all time
Really good but definitely a cultural gap here.
WAY BETTER than i anticipated... Never gave this album a chance, now i love it. Tragic story...
Real ambient and real sexy would love to keep coming back to this....
Feels like a Johnny Cash late in life album... collabing with a bunch of contemporary artists... kind of a circle is unbroken vibe... Good. but may not come back to it.
ICON. Absolutely love her. Work it with Ludacris is SO ICONIC. love love.
Nother 5 banger... The lore about this album is so interesting... how gram parsons just joined the byrds and made a full on gram parsons album. prolific artist and legendary collab. just learned the iconic artwork is from a levis poster... kinda bummed... unoriginal...
one of the alltime greatest albums of all time. will never not love this album. 1000/10 Typical Girls is a fave, of course instant hit is a track one slayer of a song. FM is amazing, honestly no skips, perfect album
Beautiful music that i enjoy! But dont know how much i will revist.

Fascinating story brilliant album
I love 12x5 and out of their heads i do like a lot of early stones but this album doesnt do anything for me. 3 stars cause its the stones
You know i had Sparta's album from this same era and i loved it. I never bought this album and i never liked it. I think ATDI is obviosly the best together but i think this is the worser of the two independent projects.
Love this album, gonna throw it on constant rotation. Best vibes favorite type of music
I really dig all these songs and i love cee lo's voice. hes cool smooth and just cool man. Great music to have on at a party.
Love hate this album. Too artsy for me. But definitely has some amazing songs. Two doves is a favorite just such a beautiful song. Useful chamber is my other fave!
Incredible. Need to listen to 100 more times to absorb its brilliance.
Not my favorite petshop boys album
Pretty weird. Pretty cool.
Perfect album. No skips. Sexy too.
Love being at a period in my life where i can enjoy Wilco. Love you Tweedy Jeffy.
So fun. So summery. So Dancy.
Honestly amazing never listened to this one all the way thru. Im loving it favorited three songs. New FAVE Kraftwerk album. i love the model and spacelab.
Really cool really interesting i feel like this album could be sampled really tastefully by DJs i really enjoyed it.
What a crazy heartbreaking collaboration. There voices and songs make my heart weep.
One of the best from the best to ever do it.
Really enjoyed it! never gave this album a fair shake. but i really enjoy it now.
I love this Miles. Definitely one of the more frenetic albums of jazz i can tolerate but its like the album suggests. This IS COOL. Get used to it...
You know i love Fela and Femi Kuti but nothing really stuck out to me from this album. :(
I love the stranglers and i love this era and region of music but nothing really stuck out to me.
Absolute Gods of rock. Eddie Van Halen and DLR bro come on the absolute best.
Not my fave took forever and i fell asleep 5 times
Just like 21 ! Amazing! Love Adele! I would gladly listen to this album anytime it comes on! love Adele!
Wanted to like it but kinda could care less. Best song to be honest was the Dicks - Hate the police cover but other than that nothing stood out to me.
Did not enjoy love the sophomore album Aha Shake Heartbreak a lot but really couldnt get into this one and their trani song creeps me out
I dont know if i like mudhoney :(
Really good i want to be a nerd so i actually enjoy it but i know its good, prog rock is not yet my thing... but one day... it will be
I know its good and it is so NYC but i think im too old (or too young) or not NYC enough to truly appreciate it... I may need to revisit.
Special Album for me! My dad gifted me this vinyl when he was visiting San Francisco! Now my son is all about it and hes only 1! Really love Animal Zoo and Mr Skin!
Not for me it feels like an ill conceived the Knife or Fever ray album. but made for dumb patio bars in santa monica or sunset blvd.
Fave Era of music! Love wishing well, and seven more days. trying to be attentive and listen to the others. Love the sounds and the bass and percussive elements. Lets go forward has some great efx too. Saved Sign your name too great track. Love this one
