Reviews (page 13 of 13)
One of the better CCR albums but short on high quality songs. "Who will stop the rain" and "Locking around my back door," are classics but not many others are. I only added these to songs to my collection on Tidal.
- John Fogerty's a Zio, so yet another band to boycott. - I only like the hits on this (and all their albums; Lookin' Out My Back Door, Up Around The Bend, & Who'll Stop The Rain). - It's okay when it's just the guitar, but the singing and boring basslines are just more typical Americana 60s music, which I'm very tired of. - Also don't like the whiney nasal vocals coupled with mostly boring lyrics, though I like his voice more in the lower gravelly registers. - Luckily, the version I found didn't have the 11 min Grapevine... what's with "I hoid it through the grapevine", lol
Nice rock classic, but might be forgetable.
Ye ye ass music bro, what are they talking abt, couldn’t even get the vibe right
this is what I hear when I imagine the USA
Good, but patchy.
The 60s equivalent of Status Quo.
Good but dull.
Country rock??? No le sé
This just feels so late sixties/ early seventies. Just not really that remarkable for me. I feel like we’ve had lots of this era recently and I think I’m just a bit fatigued by it.
This was alright, probably a good record if you like this kind of thing. Seems to try and bridge the gap between prog rock and country, neither of which have really been landing with me in this list so far. Felt a bit up and down in terms of my enjoyment, some songs definitely better than others. 2.5
Is it hillbilly? Is it impersonating Elvis amongst others? Who can tell.
euuhhhh.....
imagine the stuff they could be writing if they listened to more than just blues
Not really for me. Never a fan of CCR.
it was ok
I didn’t find this one as good as the previous Creedeence Clearwater Revival album that was suggested. That one, Bayou Country, made me want to seek out more from the band. Had this been the first album of theirs that I listened to if have just moved in without a second thought. Disappointing.
Mostly pretty skippable 12 bar blues, but I really enjoyed the ramble tamble instrumentals once I got over the unbearable vocals.
An 11 minute version of I Heard It Through the Grapevine is completely unnecessary.
It was just kind of all right. I Heard It Through The Grapevine had a really killer extended guitar solo though. Best song: Who'll Stop The Rain
i really like this band but i found this able quite boring and bland
Pleasantly surprised by this one. Never been a CCR fan, but this album managed to have a lot of the better songs on it. Not one I'll ever just choose to listen to on my own, but I enjoyed it enough.
Not my generation or my home country, so missing a lot of context around why this is so popular. All I can hear is a lot of overly-emotive singing, typical turn-of-the-decade (60s/70s) noodling, and far too many cover versions. I didn't completely hate it as I like most of the songs they covered and they didn't ruin them too much (even the super-lengthy Grapevine...), but this album (and band) mean absolutely nothing to me. Oh, the guy sitting with his legs out looks like my Uncle Derek! Didn't know he was in Creedence!
Liked a few songs from this album but not crazy about the sound of swamp rock - 4/10
Incredibly Meh. I recognise Up Around The Bend and that's it. Some songs are, at best, middling country-rock. 2 or 3 are such clear rip offs ofLittle Richard its not even funny. Gets a 2 because it's not outright offensive, but another one where I don't see a reason for it to be on the list.
Lidt for easy-rider-roadtrip gennem usa for mig, men bestemt ikke dårligt
Not much to say . Some good songs but none i would go out of my way to deliberately listen to again. Not bad but just okay
Not really my thing but I did like Who’ll Stop The Rain. Wouldn’t think people are mad for liking this; just not my taste.
Taký revival, ako na svadbu...
Feel horrible for giving my first album(and a legend) such a low rating This is history, I know, but somehow not my cup of tea. Got bored quickly, all songs sound similar but vibes are immaculate I feel like I am in American dinner I loved "I heard it through the grapevine" and thought it was unique But it was just first try, for some reason I want to relisten this one very carefully and find something maybe I'll change my mind
Heard
Not really my taste
A few hits but a forgettable album. Kept wanting more but it didn't deliver.
Checked for other covers of Heard it Through the Grapevine. There's a playlist of 100 of them, I flipped through the first 20, not a single one I didn't like, including The Slits. All except CCR. That inimitable, famous CCR sound, I just don't like it.
Nojooooo, boomerirokkia
Empieza muy bien luego se torna repetitivo
Sorry Momom! It’s all just too loud for me… Faves in album order Ramble Tamble Long As I Can See The Night
Meh
Meh
Average.
Nah
Boring as all hell
I mean it's good, but realistically not something I would seek out everyday. I am barely in this mood, but if it's on I will enjoy it.
I'm not American enough to like this. For once, though, I get why an album was chosen. I don't like it, but I get that it had an influence at its time. Still, I fucking hate CCR. I don't need any more of their albums. PLEASE just make it STOP.
For me, this really cements CCR's reputation as a singles band. Their blues-by-numbers with distinctive vocals succeeds by luck and alchemy on a select few songs across their discography, but mostly falls flat. The best thing I can say about this album is that they are one of the few bands of the era to really get the power of the two-minute song, instead of stretching one minute worth of ideas out to three-and-a-half. But then they blow all that time savings and goodwill on two endlessly bland "jam" tracks. Snooze. Maybe I just needed some relief after the dull ache of "I Heard It Thru the Grape Vine" but the last track was wonderful, and the keyboard parts were a much welcome touch. If you absolutely need to listen to CCR, stick with a compilation.
Du rock
it was like okay. i didn’t love it but not awful
Very classic rock, with some fun covers and dance tunes. Favourite track: I Heard It Through The Grapevine
Disappointing for me. I'd just recently listened to the excellent 500 songs podcast about Creedence and I was really happy to see this pop up. I expected to find the guy's songwriting unique and well trained and talented and the band to be kind of the same. I know they're an insanely successful band and so I'm wrong, but I just couldn't find much appeal. Fine enough basic rock and roll stuff I guess. The fact that they were touching on boogie blues and R&B in the covers really highlights that the grove of this group just feels so flat and lifeless to me. I still hope there are more credence records here as I really feel ill like some of them
Meh it’s fine - not for me.
It was not for me
i have one song that i liked: „my baby left me”. its too country for me.
These songs are familiar from childhood - in that sense a bit overplayed. All together as a single album becomes a bit much. All I kept thinking was the old time-life commercial “is that credence, man? Well…turn it up.” No thanks. 2/5
Some classic songs but the genre is not my favourite style of music
Okay, liked the last few songs
boring
One star because i like the drum sounds. The production is so swingy and every song sounds like it was recorded somewhere else. Other than that, nails on chalkboard.
I was on the fence between a 2 and 3 for awhile, but it was the extended mid-tier take of Grapevine, combined with the fact that there were 4 covers on the album and a number of meh blues tracks that finally lowered it for me. Not an album I'd return to, just some singles. 2.4/5 -> 2/5
didn’t listen:(
Didn't know the artists but did not particularly like it. 14 of December, listened while doing ARAM Mayhems. Day after Birthday at Ponia
A perfectly acceptable Dad rock album. It certainly has a lot of southern country twang to it. I knew Up Around the Bend before going into the album, but the rest of it was new to me. Overall not particularly impressed. I know that Creedence Clearwater Revival is often hailed as a great pioneer of early rock ‘n’ roll, but I just don’t see what all the fuss about.
Didn't love this one.
Some lovely clanging guitars and nice, crisp production, but this suffers from way too much 12-bar snooze. Two stars for the moments where they do something original with their obvious ability as musicians.
Esquecivel
OK
CCR, the dadiest of all dad bands, the 'muricanest of all 'murican bands. This may be their best album? I don't know. They all sound pretty similar to me. But then again, I'm not 'murican or a dad. Key tracks: Who'll Stop the Rain
#10 Honestly waiting for modern music, this was all right
This album just isn't for me, it's not my sort of thing. I can see why people like it but it's not for me.
Ok. Definitely heard better
Pretty middle of the road early rock didn't find any songs that really stood out so found it a bit generic. 2/5
Good music but too country for me
not for me
I just can't do 70's music. I tried.
I think I said this with the last CCR album, but I am simply not American enough to connect with them. I didn't grow up listening to them and I have no memories connected to the songs. So, I'm listening to them from an outside position and it's not clicking. I'll give CCR this: there was a long stretch during the first song where I really felt myself leaning in. Then the song reverted back to being dull again. I guess what I'm saying is that not having the right cultural context for this album just makes it aural sludge? It's not awful. It's not offensively bad. It's just something that leaves me cold.
★★½
Old fashioned rock n roll. If you're fond of a lengthy guitar solo, you'd like this. I just got bored
A bit too hickedty dickedty for my liking, which is a shame as I really thought I'd like this album. May give another chance eventually. Instrumentation was nice.
Never been a big fan besides their hits. Solid album but “white men co-opting blues in the 70’s” isn’t my bag. There are better artists.
Classic. But a bit bland. To many blues riffs.
big meh. religious songs also? not for me. Not hard to listen to, so I'll give it 2 stars
Man... this shit again? Marginally better than the one called Green River (?) mainly because of that 'Heard It Through the Grapevine' cover.
Drunk in a dive bar dance nonsense.
Its a mix between country and rock, which im not a huge fan of
Some nice southern rock vibes, but inconsistent quality.
I don't mind a bit of CCR. This was a bit much.
too 60s for me, moving into more 70s rock but still too country/60s, 4/10
I mean it rocks when it goes for a more jam band/psych/prog thing but most of it is just the roots rock thing and I really, really don't care for it at all, which is a shame because they know how to make some extended jamming sound awesome.
a couple of well-known tunes, but too honky tonky, rock n' rolly for me
Enjoyed this more than expected. Overall mixed but there were some solid moments here and there. Highlight may be the jungle song (forget the title rn) Did Not like the vocals on most tracks, but when he wasn't doing that bluesy screech I was into it
Meh
Sounds like music from the 50s but it’s actually newer than that. Fun at times but also dragged out Americana vibes. Dad would love it.
ehhhhh, not a fan
Meh
All the CCR albums and you pick this one? Very of it's time, some cringe, and the least impactful of the BIG songs that everyone knows
This stuff is... mostly kinda silly.
😏
I always struggle with this band for some reason. I don't know why. I mean the music is fine, it just does nothing for me. First song is already irritatingly monotonous. I love a good 7+ minute song but not this. I don't know. The whole southern rock thing never really appealed to me and even though they were from San Francisco, they definitely fall in the southern rock category. I get that this is one of those albums that everyone is supposed to love, I just don't. But even if you aren't a CCR fan, you've probably heard at lest half of these songs a bunch of times before. The cover of I Heard It Through The Grapevine isn't bad, I'll give them that. 2/5
I've never really been a fan of CCR. They're great for what they are, and I appreciate their place in music history, but beyond that, I'm just not a fan.
It was okay, but every song souded basically the same and they didn't really catch me, so it got a bit boring. Maybe a second listen would change this, but this was my first impression
This is so baby boomer hahaha
I find CCR tedious.
Bit boring blues rock!
It was CCR... Not much else you can add here
Some hits, but really rambly and quite a few slog songs.
Too old-school for me. Recognized some of the songs
Some decent highlights on this record, but also quite a lot of tracks that don't feel that inspired. Travelin Band for example takes a cookie cutter Little Richard template, but doesn't take it anywhere. The longer tracks like Ramble Tamble and cover of Heard It Through the Grapevine at least show some experimentation, but overall lacks the punch of earlier CCR. Best Tracks: - Who'll Stop The Rain - I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Ramble Tamble Worst Tracks: - Travelin Band - Ooby Dooby Rating: 5.5/10
Why is this considered their best? It doesn't even have any Effigy.
The singer is trying too hard. Dude with the bicycle is rad as fuck though, so extra star for him.
Couple good songs, but too many blues covers and fogherty’s voice starts to grind on you eventually
Old-School Rock? Reicht nicht ganz für 3.
The album cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Cosmo's Factory" presents a somewhat chaotic scene that reflects the band's raw energy but ultimately falls flat in artistic execution. The photograph, taken by Bob Fogerty, captures the band members in a cluttered warehouse setting, which feels more like a hastily arranged rehearsal than a carefully crafted visual statement. The lack of cohesion and the busy background detracts from the band's image, making it hard to focus on the musicians themselves. While it does convey a sense of authenticity, it lacks the striking visual appeal that could elevate it beyond mere documentation of their practice space. Overall, it’s a mediocre effort that doesn’t do justice to the music within. Album artworks rated: 6/1001 Music's alright I guess.
Acceptable. Inoffensive.
I was surprised to find I didn’t enjoy this. It made me cringe.
I've never been a Creedence fan and this did nothing to change it. It isn't offensive to me, but bland, boring, and a little obnoxious.
I got bored
Fine
2/5
very VERY bland
Hyviä ralleja yhdistettynä (nykyään) kliseiltä kuulostaviin kappaleisiin. Ihan passelia, osa.
Not for me. Reminds me of the music that my dad listens to, and not in a good way. I can't really describe it any other way. It's as-if CCR was too concerned with talking badly about the war and government to focus on writing good music.
The middle section of Ramble Tamble was pretty good. Otherwise nothing interested me. The weird effect on the vocals makes it sound like the singer is shouting at the microphone from a few feet away.
I understand that this has merit, the playing is good and there is obviously some good 70's blues rock in there. Bit it washed over me without leaving any impression except for the awful Marvin Gaye cover.
It was ok but just ok
Dull
is this country?
Nothing caught my attention here.
There's an awful lot of masturbatory guitar solos in here, and their jam band style could have used more editing for an album (ramble ramble absolutely does not need to be 7 minutes long, good God). But some of their better songs are on this, and it's a vibe. Enjoyable enough, but I won't revisit.
i dont think the bluesy swamp rock resonates that much with me. but the hits are good obv
Pretty boring
Pretty forgetful, maybe the next ones will be better
My first job after leaving school was working in a carpet factory when I was 16. One of my overriding memories of that time was relentlessly hearing Bad Moon Rising on the radio as I worked. Not a bad song and in fairness not on this album but that bloody song sent me nuts and this experience has clouded my appreciation of CCR which amounts to nothing and they were a group who I did not to have any involvement with. Listening to the album today I recognise many of the tracks as hits but did not change my opinion of CCR. An album described as good or better by many but not by me. 2/5 5/5/24
Pretty mid to me, I knew by the fourth track I wasn't gonna give this a second listen. I'm iffy on John's voice, and so many of the songs blend together in a boring way. I wish there was more of the jammy kind of stuff throughout, that was somewhat enjoyable. I think I'm a little biased against CCR, because the vast majority of the time I heard this band before now was when I would drink with friends in a casino and observe these drunk boomers smoking and playing slots for hours, all to the tune of CCR and the stones, not exactly a positive association for CCR.
Huh. I remember this being a lot better…
Creedence albums are almost a cautionary tale about not releasing five albums in just over two years. I saw Up Around The Bend was on this and thought "oh this will be really good". There are other good tunes but there are also a lot of 12 bar chuggers.
Diving into Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Cosmo's Factory," I found myself confronting a classic album that, despite its celebrated status, didn't quite resonate with me. There wasn't much about "Cosmo's Factory" that stirred any strong feelings in me—it didn't leave me disliking it intensely enough to consider it a 1-star experience, but rather, it left me indifferent. It's a situation where the familiarity of the album's structure and its predictability didn't capture my interest. I tend to lean towards music that surprises me, that shifts dynamically and keeps me guessing, and this album, with its traditional, well-trodden paths, didn't deliver that. The album's country vibes also likely contributed to the disconnect, as I've never been particularly drawn to the country genre. The track "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" is perhaps the only song that stood out to me, primarily because of its familiarity from countless plays on the radio. It's a song that, while iconic, also encapsulates my struggle with the album—it's familiar to the point of predictability. Favourite Tracks: I Heard It Through The Grapevine
Started well with Ramble Tamble, really liked the middle section, and I was thinking that, hey, maybe if I'd been 17 in California in 1971, I might have found CCR quite cool. Sadly, the three bog-standard blues tracks which followed did nothing for me. No disrespect to anyone's musicianship, I just find that sort of thing boring. The next track to stand out for me was Up Around The Bend, which is a great song, but I already knew it and already preferred Hanoi Rocks version... love rhyming 'bend' with 'wind' though, just so darn Southern. Who'll Stop The Rain was nice, and it was a decent version of HITTG (I was hoping for a guitar solo to nod and frown along to, and certainly got one.) I ended on Long As I Can See The Light (rather than listening to an extended version) but unfortunately found it pretty uninspiring again. So overall, a bit meh.
Very varied - much more classic rock and roll than I thought. At its best a cool Led Zep vibe but quite inconsistent for me and feels very lightweight.
John Fogerty' s vocals wreck it for me.
Not for me
Not very memorable besides "Looking Out My Back Door"

Greit å få ting unnagjort
A big sign for me on these albums is whether I’d ever reach for it in my collection or even download a tune or two onto my phone maybe? With this, it’s a resounding nope. This is as generically dull, pub band, average as can be, soft rock as I’m ever likely to hear.
I've been hearing these songs since I was a kid, and have never really enjoyed their sound. I've had experiences of coming to be able to hear and appreciate the sounds of other musicians that I once categorized in the same way as CCR, namely Bob Dylan and Neil Young - dudes that I once criticized as being unlistenable, and now I really enjoy their talent a lot. But CCR is not breaking out of that mold for me on this listen to this album. Sorry brothers :/
Not in the mood
I like Creedence but it didn’t grasp me
Fogerty's voice is like nails on chalkboard in a few songs. "Up Around the Bend" is alright. But "I hoird it through the grapevine" + seven minutes of jamming is not.
Honestly thought the songs are blurred together and nothing really jumped out to me. But it's also not a genre I really listen to.
This album seems to contain every hit I've ever heard from CCR. Honestly most of it's pretty uninteresting musically, and lyrically is so heavy with old school masculinity (the recurring theme of "my woman left me and I don't know why" is such a bad take - that doesn't just happen for no reason). Very 70s, very "dad" energy, and older than both my parents. Not mad I listened to it, but hoping the list gets better from here.
a blistering album of early rock and roll covers intermixed with their originals. Simultaneously showing love to their influences, showing future bands what country rock is. This album is fun, albeit a tedious affair.
This era of rock is just not for me 2 stars
I wasn't sure about this album, rife with white guy blues riffs and guitar solos which dragged out way too much for me. Although I'm wondering whether it's about context because I think in a sweaty club in the 70s I might have been all for extending those riffs and solos if you're just dancing and riding the high... Maybe sitting working from home and listening in 2023 doesn't quite hit the same...
gratuitously long riffs. generically catchy tunes.
Largely boring vitalization of Creedence Clearwater Revival's aptly named 'swamp rock', muddy hillbilly musings. Style is enjoyable on more reserved tracks as the campy classic rock boogie-groove of Ooby Dooby and quaint ballad of My Baby Left Me and a wonderful display of endurance and classic blues soloing in the Grapevine cover. The more popular tracks- Travelin' Band and Ramble Tamble really don't grab me.
Highlights: "Up Around the Bend," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Travelin' Band," "Run Through the Jungle" This album really drags for almost all of the first half before it gets going. A resolute step backwards from Bayou Country. The arrangements can be really rich, and their production has stepped up, but the songwriting has definitely suffered from their grueling output.
White men ripping off black music. Slow and boring
honestly boring
fairly standard electric blues but not unenjoyable. goes on a bit, but when it's on it's on for sure. best tracks: travelin band, i heard it through the grapevine, who'll stop the rain.
70s southern rock with too many blues covers. 2/5
I did a review of another CCR album where I said I couldn't ever listen to them without thinking of them as "That band from the Vietnam war films". So I was presently surprised that this was something a bit different. Full on blues. That being said pleasantly surprised is probably the extent of it unfortunately. Although its all done quite well it just made very little impression on me. I just don't like CCR unfortunately and no amount of variations on the formula is going to change that.
Well, the instrumental portions of Ramble Tamble are great, so I was cautiously optimistic going in to the rest of the album. Unfortunately, everything after that first track is just the usual CCR swamp-rat wannabe nonsense.
Heard it before?: No Enjoy it?: Yeah, it was decent, not a scratch on their other work though Favourite song: didn’t really have one
Klassisk rock, gode trommer, keyboard går solidt. Kæmpe riffs. Cowboy vibes. Run through the jungle var faktisk rimelig ild.
creo q oword a esta gente 6/10
The whole album sounds the same. Nice voice. Not my style. 2/5
Who is Cosmo? Why the factory? Why the very backhanded compliment to Marvin Gaye? (I wonder whether this may possessed something of the Eric Clapton/Bob Marley "I Shot the Sheriff" dynamic – or just wishful thinking on the part of CCR?). Anyway. Rather than rubbish an album that is fond to many, I'll simply say that I'll acknowledge this without quite understanding why.

Dirty fuckin' hippies. CCR, will always occupy that space on the other side of the peace, happiness and 'love -will-save-us-all' flower power movement for me. Just over that line resides the stinky, up-all-night, bloated excesses with a dirty harmonica in a shirt pocket, otherwise known as Creedence Clearwater Revival. Though listening to this album did not change my, albeit narrow view of the band, I did find enjoyment in that Up Around the Bend intro and the the guitar picking in Ramble Tamble and Run Through the Jungle. However, as with any CCR album there are three things going on here that prevents me from ranking this album higher: 1. FOGERTY SINGING - (not sure which one 'cause I don't care) and his fake-ass southern drawl. These guys are from Cali. 2. That boxcar-harmonica paired acoustic twang-y guitar sound. 3. The dirty fuckin' hippies.
It's fine. Doesn't really do a ton for me but it's pleasant and has some good musicianship. I like the less southern-influenced parts the best honestly.

A lot more rock than I expected it to be. Unfortunately, I did not love it. I respect it, but it wasn’t for me.
Can't stop doing the OOBY DOOBY
“Oh don’t worry there’s only 2 songs left” and yet here we are 15 mins later still listening to this album. I think it was fun but bland and there’s no holy reason for a cover to last that long.
Not for me
Creedence hits at something faster, then settles into their groove. Not a bad album: Middle of the road as this list goes. But the main takeaway is the hits, which are less moving than they could be.
Strange album. Bunch of 2 minute songs and then an 11 minute cover of 'Heard It Through The Grapevine' that goes on forever.
I found it to be meh, not my jam
Too many cover versions to my taste. Sounds Like a good pub covers band
Why all the CCR? Never been a fan.
I feel like I should have liked this album more than I did. It was a bit to country for my taste, had to control myself from yelling yeehaw a few times
For a brief period during my college years, I really liked CCR and listened to them a lot. I do love John Fogerty's guitar playing, and I absolutely get the importance of this band. That being said, I haven't listened to them in years. Nothing bad about it, just not interested anymore.
Loud and not my style save one track.
Me han gustado: Up around the bend y I heard it through the grapevine.
It really has an amazing selection of tracks from the era... but i went from appreciating it to not being able to listen to fogerty's voice a long time ago. It deserves better than this, but "rain" and "light" are the only bearable songs.
Overall, the album was ok, I have had one or two tracks before, but not the whole album. The sound of the album with country and rock ties made the album very fun to listen through as every track was different. You can tell that this band helped inspire others and riffs taken by other bands i.e., Led Zeppelin. If I saw the Creedence Clearwater Revival I would have been amazed. The main issue is the way this album has been mixed and produced at least on the Spotify version it sounded very flat. Multiple albums in this time area sound much better even album I have had on this site like Pearl by Janis Joplin. Great albums came out in this period like Paranoid, Kinks & Led Zeppelin. I hope to see a remaster or find a cover version of this album that fulfils the punch this album should have.
Too poppy
Absolutely not.
Absolutely not
Bore fest
I did not like this.
I have come to realize, I do not care for majority of older western music. Idk why stuff like this is considered the pinnacle of any and all music, when in reality this stuff is boring as shit. Why do westerners constantly hype up boring shitty ass music like it's the best thing ever? This would have two stars, but I was angry enough to change it to one.
Too much tappy tap hi-hat jarring singer growling and grumbling all the time. Was nice to see where the accident help line jingle came from tho, some songs were nice but the growling was too much

A 2 hour plus work drive back home from Surrey today so I thought I’d give the album a go, made it through to track 4 and thought this isn’t going to change, I’m not going to change and we should part company. Switched to 6 music and managed to catch that Underworld had just released (or dropped as the kids would say) a new album. Swamp rock just ain’t my bag. Nuff said.
New competitor for the worst album I've heard here The only moment I got livened up was when I noticed that the guy who uploaded this album to youtube wrote "good album" in the title. Fuck youtube and its clickbait titles rock is the devil's music Mr. Beast did nothing wrong
actually made me angry when I realised what band this was. it's just a bunch of shitty cover versions of already boring music
Boring
strange indeed
this is so fucking boring, 11 minutes for a song? bro you're not pink floyd 😭
This album is my worst nightmare. Radio friendly three chord dribble. No imagination here just lame covers and blues based twangin.
More boring blues dad stuff. A few hits on here have been on permanent radio rotation for 5 decades so have that warm familiarity. His voice is great in its gritty overstretched way. They're not reach for the dial songs, but equally nothing worth seeking out. Very disappointing that 'Who'll Stop the Rain' wasn't the far superior 'Have You Seen the Rain'. It's just totally inessential replacement level rock by numbers - listen to Marvin Gaye or Little Richard or Chuck Berry or Jimi Hendrix instead of their pale imitator.
AHHHH THE GUITAR THE GUITAR ITS HAUNTING ME
First listen Saved 1/11 Top track: Ramble Tamble
1. Ramble Tamble- Long AF! But digging the transitions throughout the song :) Did not finish the rest sooo can’t vote
i think there was a maybe 2 minute overall part of this album that i enjoyed, but other than that, i just didn’t care for it. i wanted to because i realised i quite like folky eclectic and unusual but this just irked me, was glad to be finished.
Nervt irgendwie
passssssssssssssssss Significant 28/78 Liked 13/78 Added 3/78
One track on the album was bearable.
Blocked
always annoying
So CCR is like bad Kings of Leon?
...not my thing
Hoary old rockers. Terrible version of 'Grapevine'. Whatever they were reviving, they should leave it where it is.
dad rock
Well liked this when it started, but then the first tune kept going and going then the next was like hippy country. Nah not for me.
Not my music
Æ mér leiðist CCR. Ofspilað shit, mest megnis.
Not into this at all.
