Some interesting grooves and some very annoying stuff too haha.
Annoyingly I can’t give this a 3.5 and it’s also not a 3.75, so doesn’t earn a 4. Some great 70s power rock in here and a very interesting back half.
Very surprising. Had hints of Chemical Brothers and Broadcast.
Not a fan of Springsteen and this is just as boring as it was 10 years ago when it came out.
Definitely cooler when you’re a high school freshman
Soulful, uplifting, beautiful
Sounds of my youth. Still such an incredible turntablist and record
I’ve enjoyed the earlier Costello I’ve heard, but this misses the mark. Maybe one really solid track for me on this one.
Partition and XO are nuts. I don’t know if I’m necessarily the audience for the rest, and that’s ok.
Love this early stuff
This RZA album is fantastic.
Do I adore it now? No. Was this a huge part of the 90s? Sure was. Every song is quite memorable. Showing respect with the rating.
Wow. That first track had me believing this was not gonna be worth the time. My mind was quickly changed thereafter. Lots of cool stuff goin on in this one.
Can forgive the earnest sentimental tone cuz it would only matter if her voice sucked. Incredible vocal performance.
We have Eels, Jeff Tweedy, and Nada Surf at home.
Quite good. Will revisit
Catchy on the singles, corny 80s production
No one should have to hear Stand ever again.
Gets real interesting towards the end. Not all for me, but pretty cool overall.
