one of their best album
Just brilliant. One of the best albums ever.
Favorite Beatles Album. Perfection!
Possibly my favorite album of their's.
Classic
A classic :) My Favorites off this album are I'm Only Sleeping, Here There and Everywhere, And Your Bird Can Sing, and I Want to Tell You.
I enjoyed this album of the Beatles. That does not surprise me.
Had not listened to this before, but had heard about half the songs previously. It has a great album cover! My favorite song on this album, and possibly of the Beatles, is "Eleanor Rigby." I read on the Wikipedia page that the string octet was inspired by the soundtrack to PSYCHO. I love that soundtrack so I guess it isn't such a surprise I love this song. I also already loved the songs "Taxman," "Here, There and Everywhere," "Yellow Submarine," "Good Day Sunshine," "And Your Bird Can Sing" and "Got To Get You Into My Life" (which rivals Eleanor Rigby for my favorite Beatles song). The rest of the album was new and I liked them on first listen. Probably my favorite of the new songs were "Doctor Robert." The song seems to imply this doctor might not be completely on the level... "For No One" stood out to me. I also found "Tomorrow Never Knows" to be an amazing end to the album. I love its epic psychedelic structure. It's easy to see why this was such an important and beloved album. It overflows with musical ideas and packs a huge punch for its relatively short runtime.
One of my favorite Beatles albums, if only Yellow Submarine had remained on the cutting room floor might be a 6 🌟
If asked to write down all the Beatles' albums from memory, I'd forget Revolver. Which I know, because I forgot it until it showed up on my list. It's great: musically, lyrically, production quality. Even the experimental pieces are approachable - which, for me, is often a reason I skip a Beatles song. Like all of their albums, Revolver is already part of my collection. It should be in yours, too.
El mejor album de la historia!
Amazing. Top to bottom.
Brilliant. The breadth of musical exploration in one album is unbelievable.
Another album by the Liverpool band The Beatles. Maybe you heard of them before. Many great songs. Some consider this their best (not me). "And Your Bird Can Sing" and "Eleanor Rigby" are two of their classics. "Yellow Submarine" is not one of my favorites, but reminds me of the version of the german artist Klaus Beyer ("Gelben Unterwasserboot") and makes me very happy anyway.
Revolver is a band at the peak of their powers as a collective but also as individuals, where everything is in balance. The result is a pop/rock album of seismic proportions covering all sorts of musical ideas, stylistic ground and psychedelia. It’s edgy, thrilling and dangerous and it’s close to, if not the Beatles best.
Already listened to this one while going through Rolling Stones top 100 albums of all time a few years ago before they did the recent update. It's great, but I still like the Beach Boys better than the Beatles 🤷🏾♀️
I really enjoyed listening to this album. My favourites are Eleanor Rigby, Here, There and Everywhere, I'm Only Sleeping and Tomorrow Never Knows. 5/5 stars.
Simply put it’s the best Beatles album and should be classified as one of, if not the greatest album ever made. Words can’t do this album justice, it’s a magnificent piece of work that should be remembered for eternity
What more can be said about this? An absolute classic.
When I made the return to Vinyl from my journey through the tape, CD, MP3 and streaming this was the first album I bought. Originally I listened to this as a kid on my Dad's copy which was well worn by the time I got hold of it. I was surprised how much the pops, crackles, little jumps etc were etched in my brain. Almost 40 years later and my new copy didn't have any of these, still sounded awesome. I feel for anyone who hasn't had that analogue experience. Don't get me wrong the pure unadulterated digital has its place as well. A classic all the way, even those that doubt Yellow Submarine, I was 5 when I first listed and that was my fav and got me hooked don't forget that the Beatles are a band for all time and all people.
Its definitely 5 stars, I would be lying to myself if it was any lower. But at the same time a couple of the songs can be annoying at times. I actually enjoy Yellow Submarine which is contrary to other reviews on this site, but I need to be in a really good mood to enjoy Good Day Sunshine, otherwise its a straight skip. Same story with Dr. Robert, who's backstory is way more interesting than the song itself. That being said, the 5 stars is warrant because I love half the songs to death and enjoy the rest. I particularly love Tomorrow Never Knows instrumentation and sonic sound. Also there's 3 songs from George which is fantastic as he's my favourite Beatle. On a side note, the album cover is their best, even better than Sgt. Pepper. I feel like all but one or two Beatles albums on this list will be 5 stars. It's kind of annoying at times they're too good. Then again if you've sold the most records in history, what else do you expect.
An obvious one. One of the greatest albums ever. Stereo version still sounds kind of funny on headphones - need to check out Mono version again.
All these songs are great (what's with the Yellow Submarine hate?), but the standouts are Eleanor Rigby (haunting lyrics, simple yet effective), I'm Only Sleeping (psychedelic rock groove), Here, There, and Everywhere (an amazingly beautiful and refreshing love song), Got to Get You Into My Life (a super catchy tune), and Tomorrow Never Knows (the psychedelic piece de resistance). I guess my only "complaint" would be that Paperback Writer and Rain, two great songs from the Revolver sessions that were released as a single a few months before Revolver, aren't on the album but this is understandable since it was typical Beatles practice to not include single songs on the album.
When i first got really into the Beatles, i couldn't get into this album. I've since come around, but there are still some real stinkers on here. "Dr. Robert" might be the worst Beatles song. I almost demoted this to 4 stars just because of that song
Ive heard this album realistically at least 100 times in my life, and today, listening in my noise canceling headphones, is the first time I’ve noticed the yawning in “I’m Only Sleeping” and the clapping in “And Your Bird Can Sing.” Music!
What hit me upon this return to Revolver is the textural variety the Beatles aim for across the album as a whole. By this point their songcraft is rock solid, so it’s a case of seeing what else they can add, or how they can twist it: the pulsing strings of Eleanor Rigby, the swirling pseudo-Indian She Said She Said, the bursting sunshine horns of Got to Get you into my Life. These embellishments are thrown into sharp relief by reverting back to the guitar, guitar, bass, drums and harmonies of the classic sound, which underpins the whole record. In this context of experiment with sonic texture even the sore thumb of Yellow Submarine doesn’t stick out quite so much.
The best
One of my favorite Beatles albums, if only Yellow Submarine had remained on the cutting room floor might be a 6 5 🌟
Many of my favs on this album!
Obvious classic and maybe my favorite Beatles record
Yes yes, as if this album hasn't been reviewed 3 million times already...ok ok ok top 10 album of all-time, highly influential, etc etc. I don't think any Beatles album is anything less than interesting, even their (to me) very dated earliest material - this is where they started to get experimental, which is probably why as a little kid listening to some of these songs scared me a bit (musically the sitar freaked me out a bit; lyrically "Eleanor Rigby" especially was a trip - 'keeps her face in a jar' - the metaphor was way over my head). But...scary music sticks with you. Honestly, a few of the songs kind of bore me ("I'm Only Sleeping" and "Love You To") - but the best here are among the best songs....ever? "Good Day Sunshine" and "Got to Get You Into My Life" in particular are worthy of their fame. For me they got even better after this, but this is the true genesis of them steering away from their 50s influences (perhaps excepting "Here, There and Everywhere") and becoming the "weird Beatles" - which is my preference. 9/10 5 stars
I mean, what more can be said. Just one of the greatest of all time.
I mean. Come on. This record. Hoooooooo boy. I've listened to all the Beatles studio albums so many times that I can hum the pitch of the first note of any song, based on hearing the end of the previous song in the track listing. Not a brag, just an indicator of how well I know these records. The Beatles are my favorite band and a lot of what I like about my other favorite bands can be traced back to something the Beatles did "first." I can't pick a favorite Beatles record (not for a lack of trying) and Revolver is in the group of their best that make the task impossible. This is also the record where their guitar tones got wild. I've always loved how thin and piercing the distorted guitars are on this record, and that continues with Sgt. Pepper and the White Album (not many guitars on Magical Mystery Tour). It took me a long time to get into other great 60s bands (The Kinks, Beach Boys, etc.) because I held them all to the standard that the Beatles set. No band produced such an consistently high level of quality through their entire career. 12 records in 6 years. That's all it was. Highlights: So hard to pick just a few, but...McCartney's lead guitar and noodle-y bass runs on "Taxman;" The story and strings on "Eleanor Rigby;" the perfectly-captured sleepiness on "I'm only sleeping;" the giant leap forward of "Tomorrow Never Knows."
Is this their best album? Maybe. The Beatles are cool. Even people who don't "like" the Beatles have to appreciate them. Those who say they don't at least appreciate them (or acknowledge their greatness) are just trying to be "different" or "cool" - but they aren't. Kickin' bass lines throughout this one Paul - way to go.
Stunning. The lyrics, the artistry, the variety, the production. A band unafraid to try new things but who take the fans with them. Taxman is a great rock track; Eleanor Rigby is a maudlin, poetic chamber pop track; I’m Only Sleeping a trippy, hippy sixties indie track; Tomorrow Never Knows experimental almost trip hop/dance Indian vibe… and it all works and sounds incredible. Perhaps the album that shows the world The Beatles as artists, making great works of art - more than just a great band. Side note- I nearly docked a star for the insufferable, anodyne, tiresome Yellow Submarine - but, hey, that would of been churlish of me!
Quite cool. It has some good songs. The Beatles are pretty good I guess but I don't know why everyone in the 60s was obsessed with them because they are not very good looking and their music is just like doo doo playing a nice tune. Bit overrated in my personal opinion. Like BTS but ugly and average
Finally, a Beatles album! And it's my second favorite one after the White Album
The Beatles at their best. 10.
Fantastic album. I need to listen to more individual Beatles records instead of the top played list.
No soy mucho de Beatles, pero me ha sorprendido para bien el disco y se me ha hecho corto.
Still unreal. Maybe the best Beatles album
Very listenable, complex and confident
Naturally, very familiar with this one as well already. Between “Rubber Soul” and “Revolver”, my dad educated me about the Beatles in my early teens. As such, both have special places in my heart, though if I had to choose between the two, I’d lean “Rubber Soul”. That is in no way any sort of indictment on “Revolver”. This album is also a stone-cold classic.
Tomorrow Never Knows. Without this song my entire musical journey would be totally different. The Chemical Brothers may never have existed without it. Plus Taxman, Eleanor Rugby's and the rest of the album... Just wonderful.
Classic
Yum, 4.5?
Classic album. Loved by me and everyone else.
An absolutely fantastic album jam packed with bops and classic songs. Not one dull spot on the whole thing and the Beatles experiment with sounds in such interesting ways while still keeping the songs fun and absolutely entertaining.
Perfection
The Beatles pushed music to where it is now. This album is undervalued.
Pretty cool. Definitely from a different time but i enjoyed it.
Esta cool, es el mejor disco de los beatles de esta epoca y siento yo que mas innovador respecto al sgt peppers
An album as inventive as it is accomplished. It’s hard to imagine a song more perfect than Eleanor Rigby, or more timeless than Tomorrow never knows. Countless bands imitated The Beatles sound, but none could replicate their songwriting.
fantastisch album
Everything about the production of this album is amazing. Taxman is a killer opener, with amazing buildup as tracks and the bassline are progressively added. So good!
Classic!
I like this for personal reasons, aand it's still a great album
Awesome album! Loved the documentary included with this album!
Yes yes yes. Putting on the LP buying list!
Possibly their first album of pure genius. Best Tracks: Eleanor Rigby, Got to Get You into My Life, Tomorrow Never Knows
Fantastic album, the best they made as a band in my opinion.
Double listen. The best
top ten album! every song is a classic.
I’m a basic bitch, but this is absolutely the best album by one of the greatest bands. 10/10 would listen again.
Love it. Uplifting and gentle feeling album. Strings in Eleanor Rigby Cool Sitar, can Hear a lot of FOTC inspiration.
I'd somehow forgotten how good this album was.
The ones I didn’t know so well sounded class. Plus the ones I do know are a couple of my faves Beatles songs. Kids love Yellow Submarine too. These guys will go far.
Que wow. Incredible stuff.
Probably in my top 5 ever. Easily the best Beatles album, even with Yellow Submarine
4.8 + Beatles in the pocket, pushing the envelope on pop sound with the discipline to not descend into self-indulgence.
Some believe the greatest album ever made.
So good. So much sitar!
adadad
Excellent album
Very instrumental. More songs I recognized than I thought I would. A dope anime intro I've always looked for was on this too. A chill album, good for background music while doing art or cleaning
This is not my favorite Beatles album but it does demonstrate the diversity of their artistic talent and how musical styles from other cultures can be incorporated but maybe not appropriated?
Masterpiece of the 60s that changed the course of popular music!
*sigh*. This is the most begrudging 5 stars I'm going to give. This is far from my favorite Beatles album, but it's the goddamn Beatles. Anything less than 5 is just straight up untrue.
Great, great album. Obviously a classic
Perfection. Nothing more need be said.
one of the best albums of all time. nuff said.
Pog up for the best and basic album
I expect to have most of the Beatles album will be on this list.
Rubber Soul part 2, arguably their best album and one of my personal favorites.
Fantastic as ever
Really enjoyed this. Listened twice.
My favourite Beatles album. It doesn’t get much better.
Well, it’s the Beatles, so it’s hard-pressed to be bad. ;) I liked this one, and it was interesting because they sounded young still to me on this one.
Pleasant, easy listening with that unmistakeable Beatles sound.
perfeito, experimental, vanguardista
amo
took a second listen but this album is huge. can only imagine what a revolutionary thing the sitar would of been yellow submarine is hilarious tomorrow never knows im only sleeping
Stone cold classic. Every track a classic except maybe “Love You To,” which is famous in its own way for the introduction of the Indian influence. Forgot the really hard stereo effect amplified by wearing headphones.
Beautiful mixing and wonderful record, one of my favorites!
Favourite songs - For No One She Said She Said I’m Only Sleeping Least favourite - Love You To Tomorrow Never Knows Overall one of my favourite albums
A classic. Didn’t know I knew most of the songs until I heard them. Can’t believe they are all on one album
Veritable blueprint for a perfect pop album
Кайфулечка
I mean cmon! Beatles scale: 4.7
YES this was my shit back in 2018 still love them
Connor: One of the best Beatles albums
Definitely more my pace as far as the Beatles go. There’s a lot going on here musically, I can see myself coming back to this one
Great pop record. I guess I really like studio Beatles.
Apart from Yellow Submarine, one of their best
wrongo
Classics coming out the wazu!
Not their best imo but still a crazy good collection of songs let down by only a couple Idk if it’s just my upbringing around a scouse parent and some scouse family but Yellow Submarine is scream along to worthy so I don’t understand the hate that gets Here there and everywhere is in contention for best Beatles song for me, and got to get you into my life is also incredible 4.5
Dieses Beatles Gedudel halt….aber got to get you into my life ist ja mal richtig geil!
Probably the weakest Beatles album I has listened to but it's still the Beatles
Es muuuuy bueno. No tiene ninguna canción skipeable como quieren hacer creer. AMO la sitar y los instrumentales indios. Verdaderamente una joya, de los álbumes más influyentes de la música. No es de mis favoritos pero lo escucho regularmente
Not my favourite Beatles album but still a cracker
beautiful
not something id usually listen to but definitely a few bangers
Is it just me, or does "Taxman" not fit on this album? It's like they started out with an early Beatles throw-back , then went full psychedelic for the rest of the album. A good, if a bit too all over the place, album.
If I were ranking Beatles albums ... Revolver would slot in just below Rubber Soul for me.
mostly weaker songs than other Beatles, still a few standouts. the thing that makes up for it is that they're incredible at rock band arrangements by this point, and messing about with recording studio as instrument worked so well for the Beatles it convinced decades of hacks to try it. in general you should not put a children's song on your rock album but mythological musicians have got to do a few weird things here and there
Great.
When my brother was a young boy he thought the Beatles were a children's group like the Wiggles because of the prevalence of Yellow Submarine at day care sing alongs. I actually like the Beatles version of the song, I like the salty sea dog vocal of whoever is doing that. Credit to the post war British tax system to make a song by the world's most famous musicians complaining about paying their taxes seem sympathetic. Nice and short, bit all over the place but has some stone cold classics.
"Here, There and Everywhere" is a highlight. Some of the songs lack direction. Overall it just sort of is the Beatles.
I like it
Classic Beatles album. I have no idea why it’s considered in the top echelon of Beatles albums. Or of albums all time. Pardon my ignorance. 4/5
A signature Beatles album, short and sweet but with wide variety and classic tracks. 4/5.
This album was a really good album. The diverse instrument and the amazing lyrics really got me into it. Though the lyrics are repetitive, it’s still very good. Recommending this to slow rock enthusiasts.
Not my favourite Beatles album but its still a Beatles album!
3.5★/5 06.22.2026
this was pretty good! more things on here than I thought I would enjoy, particularly Tomorrow Never Knows
It’s so abundantly clear that the Beatles and their albums are the spark which steered so much of music in the direction it is pointed to now. That being said revolver didn’t pack the same punch for me as sgt pepper or the white album did, perhaps because it didn’t flourish quite as much experimentally. As I’m writing this, a fear grows within me that I have completely missed the point with this album, shall have to re listen and assess my naivety
No typically a Beatles fan, but Eleanor Rigby gets this album four stars.
And then there was one. Only got Hard Days Night left from the Beatles (aside from the Lennon and McCartney solo albums). Honestly was expecting more from this album? When its hitting, its really hitting (Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, Yellow Submarine, and Got To Get You Into My Life), but otherwise I'm finding the rest of the tracklist to be fine. Not a super big fan of the Indian influenced songs with the sitar and tanpura. Although it doesn't sound quite as appropriative and cringe as when pretty much any other band use those instruments. The sequencing can be a little rough too. Eleanor Rigby going into I'm Only Sleeping is a bad transition. Still feeling a 4 on this one, but a light 4 that is pretty much propped up by the hits I mentioned before. Probably slot it above The White album and With the Beatles, but below Sgt. Peppers and Abbey Road.
im not usually a beatles listener but this album made me really like them! taxman was my favorite
Great album - might be the best one by the beatles just because of how many great songs are on here. I re-listened to a lot of old favorites and found a couple more that I didn't know.
J'ai bien aimé c'était cours sympa il y a des sons que j'ai bien kiffer celui avant submarine
#32 The Beatles shifted towards psychedelia with Revolver, and it delivered several of their best songs. Incredibly influential and truly ahead of its time, this album sounds fantastic for a 1966 release. Lots of unique arrangements and instrumentation are used, showing how much they were able to innovate and expand their sound in comparison to their earlier work. It's a good listen all the way through, but so many tracks are jammed into its relatively short run time. It would benefit from dropping a couple and letting the more experimental tracks run a bit longer.
Incredible, this might be pushing for my favorite Beatles album!
One of my favourite Beatles albums. Incredible sounding for its time and it still sounds so good today.
It’s a great timeless album. Still relevant in 2026 (60 years after its release). Some songs will stay with you, while others might be a bit forgettable, but overall: a great album.
Nice
7/10 great psychedelic themes and a cool introduction into the pioneering of psych rock
This sent me on a trip
Overall 4/5: The Beatles have so many unique songs, and I get why they are covered so much. I think I regonized about a third of the songs before listening to this whole album. My first impression of this album was there was a TON of experimentation going on which I appreciate. Some of it I enjoyed and some of it I did not. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the Beatles singing, but the chord progressions, melodies, song structure, and rhytmn are so unique for some of these songs. This seems like an album where you impression might change after multiple listens because there is a lot to take in. Taxman 3.5/5: interesting use of stereo, cool bass and guitar riff and the drums fit well. The song was not as interesting as other Beatles songs for me though Eleanor Rigby 5/5: Classic, already familiar with this one, the Cody Fry version of this song is great I'm Only Sleeping 4.5/5: great harmonies and melody, interesting reverse guitar, interesting chord change in middle of song Love You Too 3.5/5: Like the sitar and Indian instruments, the melody was not interesting to me though, unique for a rock band which I can appreciate Here There and Everywhere 5/5: I am familiar with this one. This song goes so many places for the length, unique chord progression which is what makes the beatles music intersting for me. Yellow Submarine 4.5/5: Familiar with this one. I know people clown on this song sometimes because it is kinda stupid. It agree it is kinda stupid but to me it's funny and charming. She Said She Said 2.5/5: There is a lot going on here, but not really for me. The guitar tone is pretty unique and there are some interesting rhythmic elements here. Good Day Sunshine 3.3/5: It is a fun upbeat song that makes you want to bop your head. The piano is very low which is interesting and I like the piano solo. The modulation at the end caught my attention And Your Bird Can Sing 3/5: I like the harmonies guitar riff, and nice classic line cliche. I didn't dislike anything about this song, but nothing really caught my attention like some of the other songs For No One: 3.5/5 Classic ballad sounding but there was one chord in there that suprised me which I liked. Doctor Robert 2/5: I like the middle part, but the amount of times I heard Doctor Robert got kinda annoying and repetitive. I Want To Tell You 3/5: Cool sounding intro. I love the dissonant piano parts, very jazzy. Nice middle section to mix things up. Got To Get You Into My Life 4.5/5: Familiar with this song and the chorus is very catch and I love the brass parts and lead up to the chorus. I have to say the Earth Wind & Fire version of this song is so much better (but I am bias because that is my favorite band) Tommorow Never Knows 2/5: All the background sounds caught my ear hear. I don't even know what was going on at the 1 minute mark. I can't say I enjoyed listening to this my first time around but I appreciate expermentation. That was almost too much to take in for my first listen.
This was the first Beatles album I found myself eager to relisten to. It had a lot of good songs on without being so much of a chose as the White album.
the termites
Los bitels
this was released the same year i was born. My mom keeps repeating some of The Beatles songs from time to time. Listening the whole album in 2026 made me feel nostalgic. Good music, good Album. I wish this album is kinda longer...
Is it just me or does this album cover look like Kiss with no makeup?
The first Beatles record of my project. I won't spend much words talking about them or the music here since the Beatles are totally worth the hype; they're one of the greatest bands of all time hands down. As for Revolver it's not my favorite Beatles record for one simple reason: every song is perfect- and way too short. The songs and the album itself both are. I simply can't rate it on the same level I would Abbey Road or the White Album for instance. Maybe worth the one missing point for its innovation, but it might be on a different day. Still this is a must listen, like most Beatles material.
Startet mit 2 Meisterwerken doch wird von song zu song langweiliger
I think this is one of their best if not their best. Manages to be consistent but has variety. I understand keeping your drummer happy but Yellow Submarine doesn’t do anything here. Songs like Elenor Rigby, She Said She Said, And Your Bird Can Sing and Tomorrow Never knows stand out for me, unlike many Beatles albums there is no real trash filler as to be fair, unnecessary as it is, YS has a catchy chorus and is harmless enough. Bearing in mind this hit in 66 it’s apparent to see why it had such an impact. 4.2
3.6/5. Some great tunes, some less good. But they were creating all this from a base of absolutely nothing. Absolute pioneer music this, probably why there are a few missteps. But when they get it right they really get it right.
It's obviously an incredibly influential album and way ahead of its time. Eleanor Rigby and To Get You Into My Life are the highlights for me. There some stuff that doesn't appeal so much but it's a diverse, interesting album that benefits from repeat listens.
its the beatles, what else can you say. i didnt like i love you to and the last song, felt like they where out of place
Classic and one of my favorite Beatles albums!
Some great tracks. Can see how it was so far ahead of its time
Really enjoyed this Beatles album, especially the incorporation of the eastern instruments and droney parts on the back half. The album has a few well known songs, and some experimental numbers in between. Good balance! 4.1/5.0
Mafalda y yo somos el top global d beatlemaniacs. 4.5
aunque no es el mejor álbum que tienen siempre los beatles van a tener algún banger, se notó mucho la influencia de la india
this was a great listen. Recognized several songs on this one for sure. 4 stars.
I realized i never consciously listened to the Beatles - them being kind of this omnipresence of "people know them". liking it so far, a lot more than i expected especially "Eleanor Rigby", "Love You To" and "For No One" - everything is musically interesting but not necessarily my taste
Good album with good songs. Not exactly my favourite style but enjoyable to listen to and some standouts like Eleanor Rigby
Might listen again but overall wasn’t necessarily getting into the vibe
Una bomba de disco. Le pondría 4.5 estrellas pero no puedo. Lo único que no me gustó fue la última canción y Love You To
6.36
Fantastic album. Not all songs are hits, but there are a bunch and the album just feels like a cohesive package even though the individual tracks are so different.
The Beatles groundbreaking record but it’s not sgt peppers or the white album the it must be revolver If your unsure why the Beatles are so highly regarded then remember that on Three separate occasions contemporary reviews were staggered by the diversity and innovation on display . revolver sits in the middle and is no less worthy for that . Complete different to what came before. Taxman - an angry jazzy rebuttal to actual tax problems . Still based on jangly guitars but with a driving baseline is followed by the symphonic pop of Eleanor rigby . Beautiful and slightly disturbing The quaint Fab Four still can be found on songs like I’m only sleeping and she said but now with added sitar and the start of psychedelic sounds that would be expanded on in their next groundbreaking release Yellow submarine and Dr Robot toy with being novelty songs but manage to stay relevant- just
4 lads get into the studio and change the musical narrative.
The jump in creativity from With The Beatles to THIS is insane. I’m still impressed by the special effects and worldly influences on this album today. I can’t even imagine how this must’ve sounded in 1966. It’s also cool hearing more from George (and Ringo I guess) on vocals and how each of them have their own lyrical styles that play off each other. Truly timeless!

8/10 I like the Beatles a lot. But Yellow Submarine drags this down from great to very good. Stupid song, haunting my primary school days being forced to sing it.
Taxman - repetitive but masterpiece anyways Eleanor Rigby - cultissime, rien de moins I'm only sleeping - unenergized, but very chill and cool Love you to - feel like a knight at the tavern and love that Here, there, and everywhere - love the chorus, not the song... Yellow submarine - cultissime. She said she said - groovy and rocky, love that Good day sunshine - "insert dumbass Patrick star meme" 🤠🤪😃 And your bird can sing - good song, too short for anything crazy, love the guitar tho For no one - Beatles song, good asf Doctor Robert - very good, rock n' roll vibes I want to tell you - good but melancholic asf Got to get you into my life - relatable, good sing, good guitar and drums Tomorrow never knows - very experimental, still love the influence Definitely not my favorite Beatles album, but still good and relevant 60 years later

I feel like most people rate this really high just because it’s the Beatles. Yes, the Beatles have many great hits and a few of them lives in this album, but I feel like the entire album in its entirety wasn’t like world changing to me. It’s still good tho, yellow submarine is a banger and it was one of like 10 songs on my iPod when I was little. Always on loop
bangerz. high 4
The vest one yet. Didn'T like the different side of where the musice got played from
Good
It brings me much pain to not give Revolver a 5, but unfortunately I can't. 'Yellow Submarine' fucking sucks, 'Doctor Robert' is mediocre and 'Good day Sunshine' plods along with no real place on the album. Despite its many masterpieces, it is far from a perfect album, and I'll never understand how so many people consistently rank this in the Beatles top 3 records.
FAVO: Eleanor Rigby, Here, There, and Everywhere, Yellow Submarine, Got to get you into my life
Once again, what more can be said about this Beatles album that hasn't been said before. I think it's potentially the most cohesive album, but it no more or less excellent than other albums. Lots of classics. I used to think this was my go-to Beatles, but I think it has since been replaced. I shan't divulge what has replaced it, on threat of death.
Admittedly a foundational album that has inspired popular music for decades to come. However, besides a few standout tracks, I feel like this record isn't really THAT special. Perhaps it was a more innovative record at the time. Also, the cover is horrifying. Favourite tracks: Eleanor Rigby, And Your Bird Can Sing Least favourite tracks: Taxman, Doctor Robert
Enjoyed it; eclectic sound kept it interesting (though cohesive?). A few songs that were new to me. Eleanor Rigby my fave.
Great tunes that become laughable at some cases just listening to these men sing it. Experimentation I thoroughly enjoyed, it felt very seamless and the mixing in headphones was heavenly. Reminds me of Type O Negative, and now I see where their inspiration comes from.
3rd Beatles album of the list lets go!! Starting off with Taxman, typical Beatles track. Good, solid.Eleanor Rigby, obviously a classic. Such a great narrative and music to support it. I’m only Sleeping is a good track, and I always love a little Sitar like in Love you to. I really Here there and everywhere and obviously yellow submarine is obviously great. I loved and your bird can sing! For no one had some amazing piano. Doctor Robert was really fun. Had a good groove to it. I want to tell you also had that nice groove. Ending up with Tomorrow never knows. Great piano! A decent closer. It’s a Beatles album! Not my favourite one, but what more can I say. 4/5 ⭐️ 127/1089
Could have been a 5, if not for Yellow Submarine.
Best Beatles album? Maybe? Maybe not?
pretty good, has enjoyable songs
I'm quite amazed that this album came out in the 60's, it truly sounds like an 80's punk rock album; meaning this must have been one of the pioneers for that kind of sound. my favourites were only sleeping, she said she said, and good day sunshine. like a 3.5
pendelt immer zwischen mid und solide. extrapunkte für pionierstatus vom album
Classic, and feels appropriate. Possibly the Beatles best album
Favorite songs are probably I'm only sleeping or perhaps and your bird can sing. Dunno what else to say about this album, its fantastic.
Très sympa ! J’ai apprécié les sonorités et l’ambiance générale de l’album.
Hmm. I don't have a huge amount of familiarity of which tracks are on which albums with these guys because I was introduced via compilations. Just found out Revolver is among my least favourite of theirs! Ah well. still great.
Pas mon pref des Beatles mais qd même solide y a Got to get you into my life et Eleanor Rigby donc quand même 4
weird aber nice
This and Rubber Soul.
I'm surprised it took this long (album #376) to finally get a Beatles album. This was my first ever complete listen of one of their albums. I feel like my expectations were high going into this due to their legacy/cultural impact. This sounded dated, but at the same time quite modern. Given the era that this was released, I can tell that they were playing around with the recording techniques/technology of the time, which I enjoyed. The songs didn't quite fall on my ears as I had wished (there was "something" missing that I can't explain), but overall the album was great. I would personally give this album 4.5, but I don't feel comfortable giving it a 5. I do feel like with more listens my rating would change, however.
pior que os caras sabiam fazer música
Really starting to see why everyone loves the beetles
Täitsa OK biitlite album. Ma olin üllatunud, et "Got To Get You Into My Life" on nende originaal. Siin plaadil on ka "Yellow Submarine", mida on lihtsalt lollilt lõbus laulda. Aga see ei kindlasti pole üks nende tugevamatest plaatidest. 3.7/5
This must have been like listening to BMTH for some people. It’s so different in a good way. ‘We all live in the yellow submarine’, ‘She said she said’ and the great closer that is ‘Tommorrow never knows’ all being in the same album is amazing. The genre melding in this album is ahead of its time from more ‘classic rock’ to ‘psychedelic music’ inspired by classical Indian music. The lyrics are great too, ‘Changing my life with a wave of her hand. Nobody can deny that there's something there. There, running my hands through her hair’. May this kind of love find me, ‘Here there and Everywhere’, it’s such a lovely song. I’ll definitely get this in the CD format! Rating: 4.5/5 GEMV (07.04.2026)
It's alright, I cannot believe people think this is The Beatle's best stuff. There's certainly some of their biggest classics on this thing, but is it their best work? Certainly not. I'd probably say this was the precursor. Got To Get You Into My Life is definitely the best song on here. It's a very good album don't get me wrong, but it's just not perfect to me nor is it even close to being my favourite Beatles album. Also I find the album art to be creepy as fuck, the death stare from - who I can only assume is George Harrison - piercing into my soul is fucked.
Some very good songs, but not all of them were memorable
Solid. Beatles had definitely evolved by this point. Had a few tracks beyond the ones I recognised that I really enjoyed. Of course, sounds quite dated now but still a good listen.
amo a los beatles, eleanor rigby es del 1966, estan locos.
Couple great songs and the rest just decent filler. I know it’s heresy but stuff like this makes me find th Beatles slightly overrated — Bowie, Queen, Michael Jackson… there should be more than 1-2 single-quality songs and 10 fluff on an album released with breakneck frequency. That being said it’s still a really great album
8/10 Favorites: Eleanor Rigby She Said She Said And Your Bird Can Sing Got To Get You Into My Life
Eine Band die ich gerne gesehen hätte, wenn ich Jünger gewesen wäre..
starting great, i like the way they’re playing with the stereo, i like the groove on im only sleeping
Erittäin hyvä levy kuten odottaa saattoi. 4,25/5.
J'ai bien aimé, un peu du mal avec le côté live mais les musiques sont géniales
buen album
Good Beatles
Yet another Beatles album, this time from the beginning of their psychedelic era. I've like pretty much all of them so far, and this one again makes an enjoyable listen. The music is pretty good, the lyrics are mostly engaging, and the production is really cool and well-executed. There are a lot of studio tricks on here, but they don't feel very gimmicky. It all adds up to something pretty good. Perhaps most surprising for me was the number of songs I hadn't heard before this listen. I was familiar with the bigger ones, but most of the album was new to me. I really liked a few of those new songs, with She Said She Said being my favorite. Tomorrow Never Knows was another really strong, cool track. There were few weak songs on here, though. I know people that absolutely love Yellow Submarine, but that's probably my least favorite track on the record. It didn't really fit that well for me. Kind of like a children's story in the middle of an otherwise adult novel. A few others stood out less while still not really being as good as the rest. And, even while those songs were fine, it felt like they were taking away from the songs I did like. Every track was 3 minutes or under, but there were a few I would've liked to go on longer with the time they used. As a whole, I'd say this is another strong album from the Beatles. There are some really good songs on here, especially when considering that they seem to me to get overlooked for many of the group's more famous tracks. Other songs take away from it somewhat, eating up what felt like a limited runtime. Even so, this was a memorable listen. Overall: 4.1/5
9/10
Adolescent flavor. Sounds like summer and autumn, each one, in the last nor beginning of them. Revolver means going around? Or does it mean a gun? Like if they were trying to say something about death, and the same time, live
No me gustan los Beatles pero este disco es digno de incluirse en la lista. Me gustó bastante, lo escuché mientras trabajaba
lowkey most overrated beatles album. the least explorative and innovative of the “big 5” albums; lacks the new instrumentation of rubber soul (i.e. the sitar, which is featured in “love you to” but not done as well as norwegian wood i.e.) or the psychedelic themes of sgt peppers. lacks cohesion in some areas. highlights: - i’m only sleeping - top 10 beatles song oat. - here, there and everywhere - also top 10 beatles song, potentially top 5.
Good listen! It was really cool hearing iconic songs like Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine in their original contexts for the first time. Everything was musically good, but there were some songs I wasn't really excited by.
So all over the place but there's some great tunes
Yeah , pretty great. These guys made some pretty good music didn’t they 7.5 / 10 Best track/s: And your bird can sing, tomorrow never knows, Eleanor rigby
163/1001 Fourteen songs in just over half an hour! There’s a lot of different things going on here. Something for everyone. Some of this is great. Some is just goofy though. One of the best from The Beatles. 8/10
Decent, a few songs are pretty catchy.
Rubber Soul is better. I said it!
Przyjemny album, dowiedziałam się, że niektóre piosenki są właśnie z niego.
1 great song
Right, so this one must mark the last point where the drugs were actually helping. Compared to the disjointed albums that follow, this has a real consistency and flow about it. It’s a really nice subtle psych pop rock album really, and loads of great songs. Loses itself in the middle a bit and well, let’s just ignore Ringo’s effort, at least it gave McCartney break from writing the obligatory stupid song.
This album WOULD be 5 stars, but they took a bunch of drugs in India and someone thought it'd be a good idea to let Ringo sing a really REALLY bad kids song about a colourful submersible. Tomorrow Never Knows is a good time.
I think I still prefer George Harrison’s songs over the others. Tomorrow Never Knows is a cool song too - good drumming and liked the effects.
Góð
It’s not my favourite Beatles album but it does have quite a few bangers. Especially the Paul songs are amazing
Beatles are always a good listen. Something to be said for well crafted songs.
One of the great albums by one of the greatest bands. It’s not cohesive as an album since they were really experimenting in the studio, but there are some great pop songs here —something they are really good at. Eleanor Rigby is a beautiful song.
Favorite is Eleanor Rigby
Многие считают это их лучшим или любимым альбомом. Но нет.
Here there and everywhere is one of the most underrated song OAT. 4.5/5
I've heard people say that this album is the best Beatles album. I feel like that a lot of Beatles songs I listen to, I like the intro and then they start singing... and I don't like it anymore. The songs I liked were "Eleanor Rigby", "Here, there, and everywhere", "yellow submarine", "good day sunshine", "I want to tell you" and "tomorrow never knows". I thought it was okay. There are some classics on it, but it kind of felt like there was a lot of filler tracks that were really boring. I guess I'll give it a 4 because it has so many classics
Maybe I’m too familiar with the famous songs but the other songs don’t seem as strong as the hits.
why tf did they start this album with Taxman??? it is kinda crazy listening to Beatles albums in full and realizing how minimal their production was and how silly they got. but there are some wonderful songs on this thang
Now that I have to listen to Beatles albums in full, I am realizing that I like the Beatles just like how Squidward likes Krabby Patties.
“Taxman” was not the absolute best starter of all time for me even if it wasn’t bad. The rest of the album is incredible of course
As a card holding member of the "doesn't get the Beatles sometimes" club, I really got this one. It probably helps that it has a few of my favorite songs of theirs. The psychedelic Beatles most closely aligns with how I saw them as a kid, watching the Yellow Submarine movie and other wacky music videos. For me, despite knowing how influential their earlier projects are, this era stands out as the most distinct. I love how weird this shit gets. 4-4.5
Great
****A good easy listening album
Excellent album
Taxman
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So much variety and creativity in one 34 minute album. Highlights: Tax Man. Eleanor Rigby lyrics (wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door). Got to Get You Into My Life. Tomorrow Never Knows. Nostalgia of: Yellow Submarine and school choir doing flat energy version of 'Here, There and Everywhere', because... well its the Beatles int it, and it's got a nice tune... It's a great album but 4 from me today. 4 Number tracks: 14 Fave track: Others listed above. 02/03/26
Very nice album, there are a few very popular songs and the rest are pretty chill as well. Overall, pretty nice album, I know that it was a huge hit and it has that typical Beatles sound, mostly.
alright
Ah nice to see this pop up. Quite unfamiliar with individual albums and songs so ready for this… There are obviously some huge songs on here and the rest are pleasant enough. 5* is consistent greatness with no fillers and as good as this is, think it might be heading for 4. It’s good, but I’m not absolutely blown away (as many are). The first half starts really strong and most the gold is here. Second half is still good, but not the levels Beatles can be. Stuck between 4 and 4.5
Oke album
Revolver is an old favorite.
Pioneers of music Really solid album
Bra album! Tyckte om det, perfekt just idag
A short experimental album that actually feels short and the fun type of experiment unlike Surfer Rosa by the Pixies which dragged and felt like an experiment gone wrong. That being said its not my favourite Beatles album but still an excellent all rounder in my opinion. The first three songs, Taxman, Eleanor Rigby and I’m Only Sleeping have been long time favourites so it was a nice introduction to the album and songs like Yellow Submarine and And Your Bird Can Sing brought back the energy whenever it I felt my interest start to wane. All in all, a pretty great album.
Not really my favorite Beatles but Eleanor Rigby and Here, There And Everywhere are great. If it weren’t for those tracks, it might be a 3 but overall it’s a 4 for me
Here, There and Everywhere has been my fav so far. For No One is a banger too. Also some of these songs are so short! It’s crazy. Doctor Robert is my new fav. Got To Get You Into My Life is fire. Best song so far for me.
удивительно, но вынуждена признать, что второй альбом Битлз (за две недели!) мне понравился больше. прошлый был невыносим. тут даже понравились две песни и не было повторяющегося позыва выключить и сотен невидимых вопросительных знаков у меня над головой
The best album title of all time. One of the best covers of all time my time. Jam packed with done if the best songs of the Beatles catalogue.
good album but not as good as the other beatles albums
Classic for a reason. Couple of weird tracks but par for the course with the Beatles.
Excellent. 4/5
I mean what can I say, its the beatles. I've heard this album quite a few times before, definitely some of the bands best work. I especially like "Taxman" "I'm Only Sleeping" and "for no one". I'm Only Sleeping specifically is one of my favorite beatle songs, it's so haunting to me with the hindsight of john lennon's eventual fate. It feels a little low to give this four stars but five feels too high so 4 it is. I suppose I might as well start ranking the beatles albums as they come along, obviously since this is the first one the ranking goes so far goes: 1. Revolver
Good but not their best
Ever Beatles album I listen to I get it even more. This was a great time with some super fun and interesting songs.
One of their most critically acclaimed albums because of their use of recording studio usage and innovations. However, not one of my favorite albums of theirs to listen to. Pitchfork: 10.0 Rolling Stone: Top 500 Albums #11 Best Songs Eleanor Rigby I'm Only Sleeping Here, There And Everywhere Good Day Sunshine For No One
Possibly my favorite front-to-back Beatles album. I'm not a huge Beatles fan or an expert by any means, but I think of this as the album where they were really starting to get creative but before they got kind of bonkers (for better or worse). This was kind of their sweet spot in terms of overall quality as far as I'm concerned.
I feel like with every Beatles album I listen to I will already know half of the songs by accident which is really fun, good album didn’t completely blow me away will have to listen again
It doesn't sound like 1966 and I don't doubt it was revolutionary. I like it, but I just don't connect to most of it in a way that would make me love it. (Also, Yellow Submarine is a great song. I don't know what's wrong with you people.)
I would give it a solid 4/5, personally I enjoyed Sgt Peppers better, but this was still great. My favorite track was Elenor Rigby.
it was fun but i dont really like the beatles
Beatles kurz bevor sie richtig richtig gut wurden!
Cooles ding
V good v nice
I do think that experimental Beatles are their best form, but any record with Yellow Submarine on it cannot be a 5.
You can start to hear the influences from India and their development in song structure and experimentation. Some great songs like here there everywhere, eleanor rigby, got to get you into my life and tomorrow never knows. 3 or 4 tracks are really weak and detract from these a bit. For the unique sounds and quality of the great songs I'm going to just tip it into a 4
Not a huge beetles fan but its good
very good
All the songs are amazing but I think that it is overrated by critics who put this as the groups best album. I think the songs are kind of all over the place switching so much and I like an album with more flow like peppers or abbey road.
I’ve been kind of hating on the beatles lately but I really did enjoy this album. Not fully new, but some new songs I liked a lot!
Geweldig album, vooral dr.robert
Enjoyed the hits. Not a five, but close.
Lots more that I recognized on this album vs Rubber Soul. Good stuff. 8/10 Most Excellent
Classic songs. Mellow vibes.
Jevnt over bra, har heldigvis ikkje så mange irriterande sanga (bortsett fra yellow submarine)
Looove this one
Best - she said she Worst - love you to
Good
yeah it’s the beatles i dig it
les premières sont géniales après je trouve que ça s'essouffle un peu
Hate to say this but it’s a good album. If only they didn’t steal their whole concept and sound from poc!
My issue with most Beatles albums is their lack of coherency, but Revolver hangs together way better than most.
Great album
listened to again what a fascinating collection on this one, there's so much experimental sound design throughout and so much innovation
Iconic Beatles. The whole time I was saying to myself, “yeah, that’s the Beatles alright.” But fun and iconic and exactly what I expected.
Very likeable, kiinda depressing, i like a few of these but ig my fav is “here, there and everywhere”
Einundzwanzigstes Album, das ich schon kannte. Besser, als ich es in Erinnerung hatte, aber teilweise etwas zu viel. For No One bleibt einer der besten Beatlessongs. Bin bei 3 1/2, runde aber einfach mal auf.
Eleanor Rigby is so far ahead of its time sonically. Where do the lonely people come from? Here there and everywhere is sappy on the surface but wouldn’t this also work for obsessive love/stalking? Hate Yellow Submarine.
