I'm torn on how to rate this. 100% absolutely beautiful and unique music. But, I'll probably never listen to it again.
I love the energy Jack Black brings. It always feels a little hillbilly meets hard rock. Sort of carrying the CCR, John Cougar-Melloncamp thread alive.
First time hearing anything more than the Boys are Back in Town, it was gray.
Didn't quite get to the end, because I just got tired.

A hard rock classic. This album has been on my regular listening cycle for 40+ years.
This album has its ups and downs for me. The album starts strong, but, by the time I got to Southside, I was plodding through it. The album then finishes strong.
I’m not the biggest fan of punk. This was not my favorite album, but it was listenable.
Love this album, love Janis. I can’t believe I haven’t listened to this album before.
Loved it. I’ve not heard about of this album before, so it was a great find
Jazz is always a challenge for me, but I truly enjoyed this album. Her voice is unique and beautiful.
This was a struggle. Great musicianship, that’s clear. It’s just not my genre.
I’m not the highest Who fan. But, still, this is a pretty good album
Wow, I’ve always like Dylan in theory more than in practice. This is a great album. How did I miss it!
First time hearing anything more than the Boys are Back in Town, it was gray.
Loved it then, loved it now.
Led Zeppelin is beloved for a reason. I think legalization will help resurrect them a little.

A more polished late 70's punk album. Akin to what Green Day did for late 80's punk. I'm happy I listened to it, but I probably won't again. That's probably the source of the divide between its critical success vs its commercial success.
Ugh. I hate this era of folk music. Now, I know who to blame. I can't unhear "We'll meet again"
I'm always torn with McCarthy. I love the Beatles and I want to love a McCarthy album, but they alway seem to come up short. This one is the best of the bunch though.
I didn’t want to like this, but I did. It’s a wonderful album. Her voice gets a little tiresome by the end.
I actually enjoyed this, I was dreading it.
I come from this period in time. This is an album that critics loved but the people didn’t. This is some sort of REM meets grunge. It’s very polished. That’s not what grunge was. It doesn’t have the rawness of Nevermind.
I just can’t get excited about disco
I've had enough of Wilco
I get how some folks enjoy it, but the style is not for me.
I love the White Stripes
How have I not heard his before! This is why I do this list..
I’ve been shouted at and I feel angry

I’ve never listened to an album with such a mix of great and awful. Overall, I liked it.
There’s better music on this album than the singles
I really wanted to like it.
It’s not without its merits
It was OK. But I don't think I'll listen to it again.
Wilco is always blah to me. Love the Chicago pick.
Better than expectations.
Brilliant. The breadth of musical exploration in one album is unbelievable.
I want to like The Who, I hate The Who
Great!
Unexpectedly Great!
I was nervous going in, but this is a very good album
It was pretty good, but everything sounded the same after a while.

Pretty good late 70's rock.
Good album, kind of peters out at the end,
Ugh. I was in college when they were pushing this as college rock. I just can't. His voice grates on me.
It was pretty good, but everything sounded the same after a while.
Interesting.
Love Bob!
Loved it.
Great.
Awesome, I would have never found this on my own.
I don't understand how people enjoy her singing.
Didn't quite get to the end, because I just got tired.
It's like an Alcoholic's Blues album. Loved it.
Disco is always a little bit of a nostalgic niche, but this was OK.
No, I couldn't get through it.
The Kinks are always 3 star, seldom 5 star.
How have I not heard this before?
Nice. Dylan is an enigma to me. But, I really enjoyed this album.
Nice
PJ Harvey is one of those artists that I just don't get the attraction. It's OK, but not great. It's not necessarily even that good.
Wow
Glad I made the effort to find it.
I didn't expect to like this.
I don't want to like her, but Damn she's good.
I'm torn on how to rate this. 100% absolutely beautiful and unique music. But, I'll probably never listen to it again.
What was that?
This is her best album.
Sort of like the Go-Go's didn't sell out.
That was the surprise of the month for me. Wow, I really enjoyed that.
I can never connect with the music through the anger.
Punk with roots rock undertones
Ugh. Meatloaf
This is brilliantly written but poorly produced music. It felt like a wall of sound.
When I saw Leonard Cohen on the list today, I thought “darn, I hate this guy”. But , I’m 639 albums in at this point so, I guess I have to listen. About 2 songs in, my reaction was: “g-d- it this is actually good, real good”
