Reviews (page 6 of 15)
I’ve never been a huge Sabbath fan, and I honestly haven’t spent much time with their catalog, but hearing this record makes me think that might’ve been a youthful mistake. Vol. 4 is a great album. The second half suffers from some noticeably rougher production, but overall it’s a heavy, creative, and surprisingly engaging listen. It definitely makes me want to dig deeper into their discography.
4 more volumes! 4 more volumes!
Really good album. The hits are great, other songs are good. Not much else I can say about such an iconic band. Love the sludgyness of some of the riffs and I know that that was their big trademark at the time. RIP Ozzy
How high were these guys when they recorded "FX"? And at what point did they listen to the record sober and think, "Oops?" Also it's amazing that "Supernaut" isn't as canonical as some of Black Sabbath's biggest hits. That song rips.
Ikkje så dumt
It's embarrassing, but even when I was deeply into hard rock, I somehow managed to miss this album, even though I knew it was awesome. It's a solid record, but for me, the two previous albums are much stronger.
Very good
Fav new album for me!
Laguna Sunrise is the best track here, but overall a great album.
You can see how big a band made some one, you can see the shirts everywhere and even own one without knowing just how good that band is. I believe this is the third Black Sabbath project on this project and everytime I’m blown away by how good the music is. It helps you understand what’s behind the popularity, I enjoyed this listen!
There’s often a lot of talk about which bands had the rest 3/4 album run. Sabbath clears that easily with probably the best 6 album run ever, with Vol.4 obviously sitting around the middle. It’s here where songs get longer with multiple sections, the production gets cleaner and the palette of sounds gets wider. It’s crazy that heavy, proggy songs like Wheels of Confusion and Supernaut can sit comfortably alongside ballads like Changes but Ozzy’s always on-point vocals anchor everything and make it flow. Other albums in this run have more iconic songs, are heavier or darker. But Vol.4 feels like it expands the sound of their first 3 classic albums and sets them up to deliver the further classics that followed.
man Changes is so good, Black Sabbath and Ozzy were a staple in my house growing up, and it blew my mind how much of this album I recognized. Trademark early metal sound but a bit on the softer side if that makes sense. Also all these breakdowns making me want to thrash.
Really great album. More melodic and less heavy metal than other Black Sabbath albums and I dug that. Plus “Changes” is an all time classic so good for them!
Great music and didn’t know “changes” sample
Changes had taken on a new meaning since Ozzy’s passing and is still the best (and most surprising) track on here but this is a belting collection of songs.
Classic metal. RIP Ozzy.
I didn’t realize how much I like Black Sabbath until now. It’s fun that on some of the tracks, Ozzy sounds like he’s on the other side of the room from the mic. RIP Ozzy.
Good, but not the best Sabbath album
It deleted my comments!!!! Damnit
Okay so I listened to the entire album and didnt even notice when it ended and moved into a new one. Loved it! Black Sabbath always hits though. It was interesting to hear Ozzy sing about love and loss, although now that I consider it, I guess that is kinda always what his jams have been about. I wondered if Changes was about Sharon. They did break up a few times, right? Idk. More research required.
it was a good album with great songs like changes for me its one of the best black sabbath album after war pigs
Absolutely bananas that “Changes” is a Black Sabbath original. I had no idea. Lovely song with a great, earnest vocal performance from Ozzy. Rips pretty damn hard. I’d feel comfortable calling myself a casual Sabbath fan at this point. A cut above the hard rock of its time.
Great album. I was surprised at the quality of the recording sound, and at how melodious these tracks are. Many people negatively connote devilry and heavy metal to Sabbath, but this album reminds listeners of their musical prowess and even a classical sensibility to many melodies. Bravo.
Mi secca mettere 4 come "Born in the usa" ma 5 mi sembra troppo. Album strafigo imho. "Changes" hit, un cantante heavy metal che fa una ballad romantica su una base così semplice mi fa ascoltare un sacco il testo e la sua voce un po' aspra rende il brano molto diretto. Fun fact: mi piace un sacco cantarla da solo al piano
My religious dad named Black Sabbath as one of THOSE bands...you know, a bad, satanic one that makes you sin and whatnot. I thoroughly enjoyed the album, the pure grime of it made me happy.
Actually a good album!! I didn’t realize I liked the general sound of Black Sabbath, I just know their anthologies.
3.5 RYM
Liked the 2nd side much more than the first. Really evolves into the sound thry are kmown for
Marking down to a 4 because of Changes
Yep, pretty consistently good again
same as always they don't have a bad album
So good
Very heavy. Incredible vocals from Ozzy. Some songs are a surprising change of pace. I really liked the song "Changes"
Really great album. Lacks the "big" singles of Paranoid but has more variety of songs. Really good album.
Solid rock album, and after reading some other reviews I have a fuller appreciation for what it is and the time that it came from. It would have been a heavy sound at the time, and still is now, paired with some slower and more introspective tracks.
Maybe as good as Paranoid. Great balance of loud rock and quiet, more psychedelic songs like Changes.
Black Sabbath was the first full-on metal band, and this album made me start wondering if they were the best metal band. I previously got Paranoid from this generator, which was an easy 5, and though I think Paranoid is better, this album had a lot of what I loved about it, like the incredible musicianship an the strong songwriting. Though this album had great performances from every member, it felt like the bass was mixed way too quiet. The extra power that louder bass could have supplied may have pushed this to a 5, but I think a 4 is slightly more fitting. 4/5
Pierwszy raz słuchałam black sabbath, dobrze mnie motywowało do pracy
It’s good but master of reality should be here
Good album. Some songs I did not expect on it.
Vol 4 is probably the early Ozzy Sabbath album I’ve listened to the least. I don’t think it’s as strong as their self titled or Paranoid, but any album with Supernaut on it is pretty damn great.
Third BS album on here that I’ve enjoyed. Never knew I was such a fan. Been missing out. Listened to running!
One of my favorite CDs in middle school was Black Sabbath's greatest hits. This is my second Black Sabbath album on this site, and in both cases, my favorite songs were not actually on the greatest hits. And, in both cases one or two songs makes it just shy of a five star album to me. In this case I would hardly call "FX" a song, and other than that "Changes" was easily my least favorite. So, if it weren't for that one to punch of WTF, this would easily be a five-star album. These guys absolutely kick ass, and I'm guessing there's more of their stuff to come on this site. 4.5
Sabbath. Need I say more.
This album is pretty good. I was going to give it 3 stars as I'm sorry to say O.O.'s voice really irritates me but the music is magnificent and not boringly repetitive like the Oz's voice. It's amazing to think that this was released in 1972. It must have been mind-blowing at the time.
really good but not my favorite. changes isn't that good i feel like i need to be in the right mood for it
Sensational, a visceral album - full of reflection and creativity. Incredibly, I knew some of the songs through other artists. It was a very good experience!
Second Sabbath album, with the first one coming the day after Ozzy's death (much like many others who got an Ozzy/Sabbath album that day). This album is good, and while it's close, it's not as great to me as the original Black Sabbath album. There are some excellent songs on this, no doubt. Snowblind is a great rock song. I'm sure many might consider this metal but that's solely because Ozzy is fronting it. In truth, it's much more of a straightforward rock track. What made this album different for me, though, was how they showed more musicality on this, mixing in cool ballads like Changes and Laguna Sunrise amongst all of the very powerful tracks. A testament to how talented the entire group truly was. Meanwhile, Ozzy's voice just is so amazing, it really soars throughout this record. I do think it is a more complex, more refined, and more diverse record, I just happen to not like it as much as the initial Sabbath album, probably because the original was so raw, and yet, still completely beyond what anyone else was doing at the time. Nevertheless, a 4 star record for me.
Amazing album First and last songs are crazy
Amazing album. Amazing instrumentals (including the solos) and Osbourne's voice is magnificent, especially on "Changes." While I was walking through the halls and listening to the closing track, someone remarked that I was "aura-farming."
Wieder Ozzy, schon spannend wie die damals dem Metal gespürt/rfunden haben,Visionär! c
freedom is yours just pay your dues
Surprisingly melodic and not at all what I had expected. I should perhaps check my prejudices.
A classic, even if it doesn't quite reach the peaks that their first couple albums did.
Starting to really love Black Sabbath. I knew I enjoyed all the big hits. And have grown to know a handful of lesser known hits from WSP and other bands that cover them regularly, but getting to know the full albums has been a very good thing.
Incredible album. I didn't know a lot of these songs, but I enjoyed the listen. It's funny how far music has come since this. This didn't seem "heavy" at all to me, but more just regular classic rock. I know that when it came out though it was probably the heaviest thing around. Thankful for bands like this that led the way.
Really liked this one, just some lovely hard rock that really just sounds good, don’t know how else to describe it, just really nice. 4 stars
Never listened to sabbath before, but I actually enjoyed this. Thought it would be "heavy metal" as i understood it, but it's more like prog/rock ala king crimson or similar.
They made a new heavy sound and they never moved from there
Love
Enjoyed it.
Way better than expected and worth listening to again.
Never heard these songs before but they were great. Great album!
Toujours un plaisir Black Sabbath. RIP Ozzy.
Black Sabbath is good. music: appreciated. (⌐⛧_⛧)
Would have been 4.5, but WHATEVER. A genre defining band at some of their best imo. The 2014 remaster on Spotify has a weird mix too it. Some of the instruments on some songs are MUCH louder than others for some reason and that is strange but Ozzy has one of the best vocal performances of his life in the song changes. If you didn’t throw up the horns and bang your head at least once during this album, you did it wrong. So many great guitar riffs by Iommi and at one point an amazing drum solo. Definitely will be listening to them more often now. Fav song: Supernaut Least fav: FX
rly enjoyed (other than the SFX track)!
I enjoyed this album much more than I thought I would. There’s a wide range of song types and it really showcases how good they are. Never cared about Black Sabbath before.
I remember listening to this a few years ago, when I was really discovering Black Sabbath, and loving the album then. At that point, I gravitated to Supernaut ( after hearing the 1000 Homo DJs cover first) and Changes. This time, with my aged ears, I listened again and love different songs on top of those two mentioned. Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener and Snowblind, and Cornucopia as well all perk my ears. I'll be revisiting this one again, along with other Sabbath albums
Pulgar arriba
A-
Alot more mellow than I expected it to be. I never gave Black Sabbath a proper listen really
I can't believe I used to think Black Sabbath were corny when I was a teenager. What an enormous knob I was. Vol 4 is a masterpiece, Snowblind and Cornucopia might be my 2 favourite Sabbath songs. RIP Ozzy 🤟🦇
Topićć
Top track: Supernaut / Snowblind
A sound all its own and lots of bangers
It was alright, not my favorite but I can see why it is enjoyed.
Let us Rock !
Cried my eyes out to Changes, miss you babe
Good ol black sabbath, good stuff
I can’t remember the last time I was this pleasantly surprised by an album. It felt familiar and fresh at the same time and already feels like something I’ll return to continuously.
its better but i kinda forget its on so im not listening much i guess its pretty good. 4/5. changes and snowblind are nice.
Good, maybe a bit boring but that's okay as background music
Really good album. I didn’t know they did Changes. Ozzy’s style just isn’t my fav
38/1089 from the 1001 albums generator feels “lighter” than their debut or less doomer and more upbeat? The first track is a fun listen, especially the second half/The Straightener Tomorrow’s Dream was good and Changes was a nice change of pace, i’m already preferring this over their debut i think FX didn’t do anything for me but i appreciate the intent Supernaut was great instrumentally, i tend to prefer music that’s more lyrical but putting that aside i really liked that one. Snowblind is a great followup Laguna Sunrise almost feels out of place but it’s also a really considerate respite and well placed the final track is great but i especially love the instrumental second half/Every Day Comes and Goes. It’s so stylish and atmospheric 4 stars or 72/100
I love Black Sabbath, but most of their songs kind of run together for me. This album has a couple huge tracks in it, including Changes and Snowblind, that are distinct from a lot of their other work, but much of the album is forgettable even though I love Sabbath.
1) Supernaut 2) Changes
I observe the Sabbath and am mightily impressed. Weird and wonderful. fav tracks: Wheels of Confusion, Children of the Grave
Sharooon its fucking back sabbath!!!. Good songs good riffs. A clasic in the flesh 8.5/10
As a rock fan you cannot NOT like this album.
Des bons riffs Changes détonne, est-ce que Ozzy a eu une épiphanie hallucinogénique en plein milieu d'album ?
Kind of surprised there was a cheesy ballad on here lol Definitely showed their versatility on this album though but didn't quite resonate with me as much as the debut album did
Not my favorite Sabbath album, but still better than a lot of bands at their best. I like the departure from the sound in their earlier work.
Tamer than expected for an album about/on cocaine. The most interesting thing about the album is the non-traditional (arrhythmic?) percussion. Solid.
Was good, but not their best
Heavy riffs, bitter-sweet ballads, and a whole lotta cocaine.
hadn't heard this song before, but thought Black Sabbath was not my kind of music at all. I was positively surprised, the album has a lot of different sounding songs, with very different vibes to them. 4
Maybe the most underrated of their first 4 records? When Iommi is ripping, he is absolutely the riff Lord, evidenced again on this album. This is almost a perfect album aside from a couple of duds before the middle section of the record (unpopular opinion, perhaps).
4 out of 5, second Black Sabbath album listened to. Vol. 4 comes out ahead of Paranoid in terms of my favorite album by them. The instrumentals and slower songs are nice breaks and the rest of this album rocks.
Music generally strong. Lyrics and vocals middle of the road.
This list made me spend more deliberate time with Ozzy and the boys than I have before. These first 5 albums or so are super solid f4om top to bottom.
Better than the first one Changes
i like it
What is there to say ? Classic Sabbath stoner-doom sound. Not my favorite Sabbath album, but still a very pleasant one. Some of the tracks were so ahead of their time that half the doom metal bands still use the same kind of riffs 50 years later. Ozzy’s voice is even more high-pitched than usual, which can be annoying, but the band is experimenting with new sounds and it makes the overall experience interesting. Every track is a surprise, and there are some fantastic moments here and there. 7/10
Solid metal album. Again, would probably become a 5 in my book if I listened to it more, which I will be doing.
Мой тип рока
The doom-y stoner metal blueprint with lots of variety as well. Ozzy's voice sounds amazing.
This is a great album. Better than their first. Ive never heard an album end so well! Those last 2 or 3 songs are wonderful! But that first song. Oh boy! It starts in the middle of a guitar solo. And not just any guitar solo, one straight out of a cheesy (sexy) movie that aired on USA Network or Skinamax in the 1980s.
I think the generation of this album was trying to coincide with Ozzy's death, but I was out of town and my account paused, so I am catching up as of now. Anyways, the real shame (besides Ozzy dying RIP), is that it is album #667 for me, and NOT #666! That would have been cool. This album rocks
I was contemplating just what it must have been like to discover a new sound and blaze a trail that inspired a whole genre. I had a separate thought about how prolific Sabbath were in releasing 4 albums in the space of 2 years, and realised the two thoughts are most likely connected. I managed to put this on in the car driving home with the family after a weekend away, and luckily there were no complaints. I certainly enjoyed this and I contemplated if I’ve missed out on not listening to their albums before now. I enjoyed learning that this was supposed to be called Snowblind like the song but the record company intervened - seemed a bit unnecessary.
Was kind of surprised with the instrumentals on this album. There was a different feel on this album to the first few I've heard. Really enjoyed this one though. 4/5
Funny I was just listening back to Black Sabbath albums because Ozzy had died this week. :( While Vol.4 is not my personal favorite. Singing vocals are so on point on this album! Supernaut is also one of the best opening riffs ever.
D
Probably Ozzy's strongest album vocally with Sabbath, with an interesting mix of classic Sabbath and new styles, leaning into the gentler tracks from Master of Reality and Paranoid with Changes and Laguna Sunrise. Snowblind and Under the Sun are highlights, closing the album with a classic Iommi riff.
Not the kind of music I regularly listen to but I liked it!
Tomorrows dream and supernaut are probably my favorites. Really cool album, I’ve never REALLY listened to Black Sabbath except their most popular ones so really cool listening experience!
I love this, one of their best, its got so much variety. Supernaut Snowblind and under the sun.
Not usually my genre but I REALLY liked this
Rock clasico
Under The Sun carries this album
It was fucking amazing
Très bon album et d'actualité malheureusement, ils est partie en laissant un très bon album ...13 Rip
Just a great mix of heavy, forward thinking riffs and great vocals off of Ozzy (RIP). I think what most modern doom doesn't nail down that Sabbath did it's just a tremendous sense of fun. That FX track is absolutely ridiculous though.
You gotta love the 'random' generator for honoring the recently deceased. Volume 4 is Black Sabbath at its most surprising. With a 'Changes' cover that unexpectedly rocks and some softer interludes that challenge Black Sabbath's rough image. With the recent death of Ozzy Osbourne in mind it almost feels wrong to not give Volume 4 a five star rating but the truth is even though I thoroughly enjoyed the listen and I will definitely return to it, it didn't blow me away
Классика Black Sabbath с более звенящим звуком
So this is the first Black Sabbath album I've ever listened to. And I've been told that this is not a good one to start with apparently haha. But I'm honestly enjoying it a lot! I didn't realize this was the album with Changes on it, which is probably one of 2 black sabbath songs I can name (the other being War Pigs lol) I'm learning that my perception of Black Sabbath was very off from what they actually are. They're not metal really, they have a lot of variance in their songs and the topics. Really beautiful song writing. And Ozzy Osbourne (may he RIP) has such a beautiful voice! Actually making me nod my head, even at the office! Just such a force behind the guitar, the drums, everything. It's rock at it's purest and I love it. This is my preference when it comes to rock music. I want a little grit, some interest, a drive that leads somewhere. Even the guitar tone is just scrumptious. I love the breaths that this album gives with acoustic slower songs that are no less interesting than the hard and fast songs. It's so lovely. Really takes you on a journey and makes the album worth listening to as a complete album. I think I would love this on vinyl. Dang! Okay Black Sabbath, really surprising me here! It's almost a 5 but I think I'll keep it at a 4. Really makes me want to check out the other albums from Black Sabbath!!!
This album escaped me from Black Sabbath's catalog. I enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this - a really solid album from start to finish. Changes is amazing, and Laguna Sunrise really caught me by surprise. I would absolutely listen to this again.
rip ozzy
Fun listening, hadn't heard in ages. Good ol rock n roll!
Favorites: Wheels of Confusion / The Straightener, Changes, Supernaut I doubt there'll ever be a vocalist as influential as Ozzy Osbourne. I've seen a lot of discourse about his influence after his death, with many stating that because he's just a vocalist, he doesn't deserve a lot of credit for helping establish metal as the complex and innovative genre that it stands as today. I completely disagree. Without Osbourne, I don't think Sabbath would have reached the iconography and even cultural grasp that they had. Vol. 4 is terrific, one of their best records (and perhaps their most underrated, it might be my favorite record of theirs). Absolutely worth multiple listens. Rest in peace, Ozzy.
Classic.
It can't be a coincidence that this album popped up for me this week of all weeks. How, then, do I rate I with Ozzy's death fresh in my mind? Am I giving it a higher rating than I would have a week ago? Hard to say. I enjoyed the album.
Totally captivated by the multipart opener and closer, as well as Supernaut and the instrumental Laguna Sunrise. This was my intro to actually listening to Black Sabbath - I really really liked it.
I really liked this album more than Paranoid. Felt like there was a lot more variation, but the rock songs were great. The opener and Changes were some of my favorites. Rest in peace Ozzy Osbourne. We’ve been losing a lot of musical icons, and he was an absolute legend.
I had all Sabbath's albums on CD back in the day. Vol. 4 is one of the ones I listened to a little less for whatever reason back then compared to the first three and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I always loved Supernaut, and just coming back to the rest of this has given me a new appreciation. The first track is great, and the outro, or Straightener, of that first track is awesome. Tomorrow's Dream is pretty solid. Back in the day I always thought Changes was a little soft, but it kind of starts off an Ozzy tradition for soft metal ballads that culminates later in stuff like Mama I'm Coming Home and See You on the Other Side. Supernaut holds up as the best track on the album, Snowblind is pretty good, and makes sense as I hear these guys were on a lot of cocaine at the time. Cornucopia is pure sludge, the intro rif kind of hearkens forward to some of the Alice in Chains sounds. Under the Sun is a song I barely remember but it's banging. Probably a 4/5.
I can't believe I got this album the day after Ozzy Osbourne passing. Rest in peace Prince of Darkness . 😭
RIP Ozzy! And what a stunner of an album.
God eksperimenterende metal som inspireret mange andre bands. Første der også er self produced?
One of those "Don't got much to say, but it's great" records. Actually never listened to this one before. Definitely have listened to their debut and Paranoid before. But all around some great doomy heavy metal. Snowblind and Under the Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes (heaviest songs) probably being my favorite songs. That said, I'm not the hugest fan of doom metal or the blues inspired stuff here. But it's a small nitpick, because as far as those genres go, this is probably the best of those I've heard.
Je m'attendais à un truc basique de métal, finalement c'était excellent.
Not bad at all.
I knew Changes, Supernaut and Snowblind, but this doesn't feel quite as groundbreaking as the first two albums from Sabbath, though the musicianship remains high. Some of Iommi's best riffs but not sure about the sequencing with the two best tracks right in the middle of the album. RIP Ozzy.
I think Black Sabbath is probably the band that I am most disappointed at for never having gotten into until now. This is the second album I've heard and another just masterpiece. I'm giving it 4.5 stars, just because I still am not 100% aligned to the dark sound
I knew I'd be getting a Sabbath album today.. R.I.P. Ozzy Osbourne. Such a larger than life figure that I was genuinely surprised to hear about his death. His influence can be seen everywhere and his music will continue to inspire so many for years to come. While this isn't my favorite Sabbath album, I'll happily round up my rating in honor of the legend that is Ozzy Osbourne. Favorite track: Supernaut 3.5/5
84/100. Vol. 4 might not be quite as instantly iconic as Paranoid or Master of Reality, but it’s every bit a worthy successor. It’s confident, consistent, and keeps the quality level impressively high, just like everything they’d released up to this point.
Another great album by a truly amazing band. Super groovy riffs and melodies, and great lyrics. RIP Ozzy.
Very cool album. Rest in peace, Prince of Darkness.
Good Black Sabbath album. Has Changes, great cover
RIP Ozzy. Not my favorite Sabbath album, but it still rocks!
Not the best Ozzy-Sabbath album but super good. Supernaut is a personal highlight but this record has several great tracks on it. It's a very good Sabbath record that isn't highlighted enough.
This morning I hear on the radio that Ozzy Osbourne has died. This is now the second time in this project that I have been suggested an album by the deceased on the day of his death. Have a good trip and farewell Ozzy. It was always exciting to hear from you. The album itself is good, but in my opinion not one of Black Sabbath's best. 4/5
4.5 - fantastic heavy, sludgy metal
Wow, Ozzy died yesterday and I got this? Not sure if crazy coincidence or set up this way. A solid metal record that stays musical and diverse, lots of cool guitar riffs. 4*
Rating: 7.5/10 True doom metal.
My second Black Sabbath album, and I guess they are never as hard as I expect from reputation. The genre wasn't quite there yet. There are a few really great tracks on here and I like this version of metal with Ozzy's voice vs. later typically metal vocals.
Rest in peace, Prince of Darkness.
Got this the day of Ozzy 's death. RIP
Very cool album with a good variety of moods and flavours
We miss you, Ozzy.
The day after Ozzy passed away. Rest in Peace. Incredible album. Right out of the gate "Wheels of Confusion" hits you with a classic doomy track. "Changes" comes out of no where with a haunting song that features Ozzy's vocals being front and center the entire song. "Supernaut" brings the energy back with purpose and guides you into a powdery "Snowblind".
Classic. Rip Ozzie :(
RIP Ozzy
The first time I listen to a whole Black Sabbath album, sometimes it feels like you can hear the coked up energy through the tunes. Favorite song of the album is definitely Laguna Sunrise and Supernaut. FX was incredibly rogue though, I thought my headphones stopped working for that track.
Enjoyed- even if it was a bit more intense than I'd normally go for, it was nicely broken up with more relaxed songs and pushes beyond what they'd done before. Liked it more on the second listen.
Rocking more than I thought it would. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Intentional, with impact. Rating: 4
HEAVY Metal, Ozzy - sings in same rhythm, solos, guitars are stars Changes
I had friends growing up in High School who listened to Sabbath. Wasn't always my thing but I respected them. After listening to this album I wish I was into them earlier on in my younger music life. Very listenable hard rock/metal verses some of the bands of today. Love the groove in St. Vitus. Has a punk edge to it. Lot of influences. Very solid album.
Really fun to listen to. Glad this album was assigned today, R.I.P. Ozzy. Favorite tracks were Snowblind and Under the Sun.
This came up as my album the day after Ozzy died. This Album doesn’t have the biggest hits, but it’s more cohesive and psychedelic than other Sabbath albums.
The stars aligned! Ozzy Osbourne died yesterday, I got my new Airpod Pros and my album of the day is Black Sabbath. I never listened to any of their albums because of my religious upbringing and I thought of this music as satanic. I enjoyed the album quite a bit. 3-4 songs are bangers (wheels of confusion, supernaut, snowblind, cornucopia) but also some filler tracks (laguna sunrise is nice but doesn’t go anywhere)
Solid RIP Ozzy
4.3 Stars Groundbreaking for Heavy Metal. Drums are fantastic. Heavy electric for guitar. Etheral. Mostly same tone throughout though Best Song: "Changes" Least Metal: "Changes" RIH Ozzy
Not knowledgeable enough in music production to explain why this sound rocks, but it does! Tracks to track: Supernaut
Great classic rock album. Not a band I have heard of before but definitely one to look more into. Very upbeat album, makes you want to take on the world.
Solid Ozzy and Sabbath. I enjoy the variety that Black Sabbath showcased. RIP Ozzy.
Iconic
Geschichtlich perfekte Brücke zwischen Rock und Metal. Wichtig und gut, aber Ozzys Gesang geht mir gegen den Strich.
4.5 My first real "heavy metal" cd was We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll, so BS is an absolute cornerstone in my music listening. But it's been decades since I last heard this. Though my favorite Sabbath, this is still magnificent. (Changes is a good song, it just does not fit where it is on the album). RIP Ozzy.
Great album
Vol 4 is such a great Sabbath album. Yes it doesn’t have the huge hits like Paranoid but I feel the band is locked in on this album and really took their sound to a new level. Ozzys vocals just cut deep every song! Need this in the vinyl collection stat! RIP Ozzy
1. Supernaut 2. Snowblind 3. Tomorrow's Dream
Great album. Heavy with some surprisingly pretty moments. Will probably listen to this again. 4/5.
Honestly this album is pretty good. This is the second only Black Sabbath album I've ever listened to, so I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Reminded me a lot of Led Zeppelin, who are also a corner stone of heavy metal. I've come to realize that maybe I do like metal, but only Black Sabbath and Les Zeppelin lmao.
has some bangers. 4 stars
thoughts: coincidence that i get this the day after ozzy dies? this isn’t my style of music at all but this album kinda hits with me. ozzy’s voice fits so well even in more ballad-y stuff like “changes”, the instrumentation is fantastic. yeah this is really cool. songs: “wheels of confusion”, “changes”, “supernaut” rating: 8.0/10
From the 8 minute proggy opener to the doom-laden epic closer we're treated to riffs, sometimes crunching, sometimes, atmospheric, sometimes driving, all the time... brilliant! The drums swing and thud, the bass rumbles and Ozzy soars above it all, as only he can Soul singer **Charles Bradley** released a cover of _Changes_ for RSD in 2013. I had heard the song before of course when Ozzy duetted with his daughter but I wasn't a fan of that version. Charles Bradley really brings the soul out that was baked into it and it really heightened my appreciation of the original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi49yirJiEA I don't gather that this is Sabbath's finest hour and most of the rankings I've seen from you guys back that up. It does feel a little clunky in places but what an album to have as your 5th or 6th best! I'll definitely be returning to this and expanding out into their other earlier albums.. There's a few tracks that caught my ear, Wheels of Confusion, Snowblind, Under the Sun and my... Fave track: Supernaut RIP Ozzy 🦇
7/10 Favorites: Changes, Snowblind
28/1001 Black Sabbath - Vol 4 Heard before? ✅ Revisit? ✅ RIP Ozzy 🖤
The 4th album with the band at the controls sounds a bit sludgier than their previous ones but still some great tracks like Supernaut, Snowblind and Under The Sun. Maybe the drugs were taking over a bit too but still some nice cuts here
Fun memories
Likes this album way more than I expected to. Consensus seems to be that this band spawned heavy metal and all its sub-genres. But I don’t think anything subsequent has matched how melodic and well written these songs are. Astonishing work
RIP Ozzy. Thank you the music!
Yeah, it gave me the fourth album after I listened to the first three the day before. RIP Ozzy the legend, the prince of darkness, and the best rockstar to be on reality tv. Clearly, the generator knew I already listened to the other two (I got Paranoid a few weeks ago) and gave me this one to listen today. I really liked this album since it wasn't all heavy metal, although I can't quite tell what it has influenced.
Maybe I am too jaded. But this felt pretty light to me. That said, I enjoyed it.
Not Sabbaths best album but still a solid 7/10. Unmistakable voice of Ozzy, the fuzz of Iommis guitar and the chuck of drums and base from Ward and butler will always be an amazing thing.
For an admitted Coke Album this doesn't feel like one, aside from, you know, having a song called "Snowblind" (they wanted to call the album that but some tightass at the record company objected). The songs are tightly written, suitably loosely performed, and all the right length. I'm not going to bat for the stuff (and it's sort of rich to hear the sentimentality on "Changes" knowing it's about Bill Ward trading his wife for the aforementioned stuff) but, you know, if you rock like this maybe you can get away with it. For a while, anyway.
Band really plays well on this album and there are many good songs. I also enjoy the more experimental stuff. Great album.
An absolute fucking banger of a record. Completely drug fueled. I don’t agree with all the methods but how can you argue with the results?
Really great record. I want to listen to it more to make my mind up and maybe away from the context of ozzys passing. It has a little bit of that surprising blend of distorted guitars with acoustic instruments from the self titled album. It also has some of that tighter, more polished, more metal sound like paranoid. There's a little bit more sound design stuff I think. Changes unfortunately reminds me of Kelly ozbourne's pop career.
Weirdly even though I love rock, have never listened to a Black Sabbath album. Poignant considering his passing this week RIP Ozzy
Descansa en paz, genio.
It only makes sense that Black Sabbath would be pushed the day after Ozzy's death is announced. I appreciate the timeliness, but I will resist to use this review to eulogize Ozzy. I'm not sure this is the definitive Black Sabbath album, but I do understand why it's on the list. It's clear that Sabbath was writing the rules for metal with every recording, and Vol. 4 is the first time they took the reins and produced an album themselves (cocaine definitely helped). I'm sure this has been studied closely by innumerable aspiring rock'n'rollers and they've all taken away different pieces. "Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener": A fun classic rock riff to start the album, but it quickly transitions to very recognizable Sabbath. The guitar solo in the last few minutes is unexpected and feels like early roots for the 'widdly-widdly-wah' guitar solos that were everywhere in the late 70s and 80s. "Changes": A classic. Kinda crazy that they would put this so far forward in the album; they certainly didn't play it this early at concerts. "Supernaut": The guitar tone feels like the missing link between the squawky overdrive of classic Classic Rock(TM) and the clean distortion of later Heavy Metal(TM). I'm sure there aren't major tone changes compared to the rest of the album, but it's front & center here and hard to miss. Impressively modern compared to the compressed/buzzy tone on Paranoid or Master of Reality, but that could just be better studio production or later remastering. "Snowblind": Another classic that's launched 1000 garage bands. "Laguna Sunrise": A string section and an acoustic guitar? I like this more than "FX" but it's hard to hear it as anything but filler. It makes sense why "Changes" was so far forward now; you wouldn't want that and this to be too close together. This definitely gave Ozzy a minute to go backstage and "freshen up" on the tour.
Really pleasant surprise. Great album. On tbe verge of 5 stars
Great album, it’s my favorite after MoR, self-titled, and paranoid. Normally that would sound like a diss, but they just have that good of a discography. RIP!
Peak sludge metal with some surprising variations.
I love 'Supernaut' and 'Snowblind' but listening to the album all the way through made sure I listened to 'Changes' and that's been stuck in my head for the past day. I'm not sure if that's a mellotron in the back but it was done really well. Some of these slower songs from albums in the mid to late 80's just suffered from how they were recorded and this is in obvious contrast showing how it should be done
"Black Sabbath with Ozzy, dude!" Such was the refrain from my--a punk and alt-new wave dude--from my fellow rockin' stoners when asked what I should check out. They are not wrong. I started listening to Black Sabbath shortly afterwards and it was my gateway into trying to understand and appreciate all genres of music, which ultimately led me here. I'm writing this, while listening to this album on the day of Ozzy's death. There has been enough ink spilled about the importance of Black Sabbath and Ozzy over the last few days. Amazing music.
An excellent Black Sabbath album with several classic albums like Snowblind, Wheel of Confusion and Changes. Not as good as Paranoid, but still an excellent album
A fitting tribute to Ozzy. There will never be another like him. I’ve never listened to this album before, ‘Changes’ is my favourite on the record.
Vol. 4” marks a new phase in Black Sabbath’s career. While it’s still heavy and dark as expected, there’s a clear desire to experiment and break away from their own formula. Tracks like “Supernaut” and “Snowblind” deliver classic Sabbath riffing with loads of energy, while “Changes” shows a more vulnerable and melodic side of the band. The album isn’t consistently strong all the way through, but the musical highlights hit hard, literally. Sabbath proves here that they’re not just painting in black, but also with shades of grey and unexpected colors. A bold and creative album that deserves its place among the most important in the band’s discography. 4/5
A pretty solid album. Ironically I didn't recognize almost any of the songs despite knowing Ozzy's discography and at least the hits of Black Sabbath themselves. There is a pretty big mix between songs I would expect like Cornucopia and songs that were a completely different style like Changes. There is almost more of a theatrically flair to the album than something heavier than their debut, it's a funny blend
Much like Master of Reality, this would be pretty much perfect if there weren't two less good instrumentals! Probably timbre wise it's Sabbaths most influential album. It's not from 1971 though!
RIP ozzy
Det va mye morsommere enn æ hadde venta, men sannsynligvis også fordi det e det eksperimentelle fjerdealbumet – æ hadde neppe likt de tre første like godt. Men det va gøy og sært og æ likte det.
3.5
Excellent rock by legends. RIP Ozzy!
This shits hard. First full Black Sabbath album I I listened to and it was more than I would have imagined. Great guitar, lyrics weren’t as batshit as i thought they’d be. 4.5
8.4/10
Serendipity? Or maybe its not such a random generator? Either way RIP Ozzy
Their fourth album. Rock / Heavy Rock. Ozzy Osbourne died today. A legend of Rock ! This is a hugely influential album. Sabbath laid the groundwork for Heavy Rock / Heavy Metal / Hair Metal. This album also has melody and shows glimpses of a softer side. Ozzy can really sing ! Changes is an example of this, lovely track. Supernaut, what a track ! This is a really good fucking album !
I have an inexplicable fondness for Black Sabbath. I don't really like hard rock, I hate metal, but something about this band does it for me every time.
8/10 Favourite: Under the Sun Least Favourite: St. Vitus Dance
Had to get an Ozzy album today. Admittedly the weakest of the first four Sabbath records, but with tracks like Supernaut and Snowblind there are still some incredible moments on this record. Changes always felt like a sore thumb to me and still does, but I guess it also shows the range the band had even at this early stage. I’m grateful I got to see Black Sabbath on their final proper tour, and am glad that Ozzy had such a triumphant send off so close to his death. These albums will continue to influence budding princes and princesses of darkness for years to come I’m sure.
Got this album the day after Ozzie died :( Don't know if that's coincidence or if the algorithm knows what it's doing, but giving a 4 out of my respects.
Rest in peace ❤️
Before hip-hop came along, Zeppelin presaged the beat switch and Sabbath mastered it. It's part of their DNA since musical ideas seem to run thru their veins, and tho they're not exactly a jam band, they jam out whenever they can. But they don't noodle, and what you get from this record, especially the gorgeous and unexpected 'Changes,' is a new appreciation for the soulfulness Ozzy boasted, the quiet experimentation of the band, their almost easy listening quality, heavier than anything you've heard before, but sweeter too.
Black Sabbath isn’t really a band or a genre I would chose to listen to however, I enjoyed this album much more than I thought I would.
23/07/2025 Here, take my 4 stars.
This is #day349 of my #1001albumsyoumusthearbeforeyoudie challenge, and… I had a feeling this one might show up today, following yesterday's news about Ozzy's passing. I'm glad they were able to deliver that Back to the Beginning show in their original lineup just over two weeks ago... what a poignant farewell in hindsight. Now, it must be my very first time listening to this record. I surely know "Changes" (and "Snowblind", I guess?), but the rest is new to me. I've read it's their "cocaine album," and it shows in its psychedelic nature and lyrics. But I'm all for it. It's also my last Black Sabbath on the list, so I'm checking off another band. This is a 4 out of 5. Rest in peace, Prince of Darkness. Looking forward to #day350.
They set a precedent for other bands of the genre. It's what you want from Black Sabbath, but not quite up to the highest highs (except for the coke) of their earlier work. 4⭐️
Fue el disco que la lista me asignó para escuchar tras la muerte de Ozzy. Y es genial, pero siento que discos en solitario me han gustado más que este de Sabbath. De todas formas lo volveré a escuchar para seguir despidiendo al príncipe.
Ozzy’s voice sounds as sharp as ever on this one. The whole album leans into that heavy, hazy Sabbath groove, and it delivers. “Snowblind” is the obvious standout, still a banger after all these years, but “Changes” hits differently now. Knowing we’ve lost Ozzy gives that track a weight it didn’t carry before. This album may not get as much love as Paranoid or Master of Reality. It’s darker, weirder, and a little more uneven, but that’s part of the charm. Props to Alexander for making an exception to the algorithm. RIP to the Prince of Darkness.
Missing Ozzy - very solid album
RIP MY MAN OZZY 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺👎👎👎👎👎👎
I’ve actually never listened to this album from beginning to end until now, but I’ve always been familiar with a good handful of these tracks. There are a few like “Changes”that I could honestly do without, mostly because I’ve already heard them a million times. That said, this is definitely another one of those precursor albums to stoner metal. So much of it sounds exactly like what the stoner metal bands were doing in the early to mid ’90s, which really shows just how ahead of their time Black Sabbath was.

I give it a 4 bc I liked Ozzy and his family. Just didn't love his music that much.
I wanted to not like this (except for Supernaut, which I've always loved from the 1000 homo DJs cover) But I legitimately enjoyed this album all the way through. Twice. I should probably apologize to my pothead stepbrother who was the foundation of my kneejerk reaction to all things Sabbath
RIP Ozzy. Black Sabbath is like the fun, witchcraft obsessed, less talented version of Zeppelin and I mean that in the best way possible.
Good album.
I am a huge fan of the band, and I think the first three albums are all top notch. I appreciate that this record goes in a little bit of a different direction, and the high points are very very good, but it's not as good as the other three records.
Ozzy (and the rest of the band) were really legends.
Liked it better than I expected!
I remember one time in high school my friend’s dad said that when he was growing up only losers listened to Black Sabbath. I’m starting to think he was the real loser
A perfect heavy metal album. Great riffs and doesn't get repetitive.
i like that this one has a bit of variety! also rest in peace ozzy :-( highlights: wheels of confusion/the straightener, changes, snowblind (aug 6 2024)
The Good: We realize that, if we like this album, there are, at least, 3 more albums by the band… The Bad: What if we don’t like the band? The Ugly: What if we like our Sunday with light? Poor Ozzy, RIP. I am going to assume that I am not the only person who was presented with an album featuring the Prince of Darkness the day after his passing. Makes one wonder how random these albums get generated… I saw Sabbath play live on a triple bill back in the ‘90s, and memory wants to tell me that it was Tool, and the Butthole Surfers who were the other 2 bands. However, my and my buddy were too busy trying to get more beers, instead of listening to the bands, so I can’t recall too well what my real impression of the concert was. This Vol. 4 has been a pleasant surprise. It is hard. It is heavy. It is tender. It is an excellent listen, and should belong on this list. Of course, my judgment is clouded, as I am a Gen X and rock is what I was fed while growing into a responsible 30-year-old ;-) Here’s to Ozzy, may his bad temper live forever!
rip
Black sabbath is lowkey legit
Surprised by how much I like this. Will be coming back to this for repeated listens.
The album was better than I expected but “Changes” — Man, that’s a fucking song.
4/5 rosando el 5, buen disco mis favoritas: changes snowwhite laguna sunrise
Top notch guitar! First time listening all the way through in one sitting. Really enjoyed.
I own this CD. One of my favorite Sabbath albums. Love the riffs and jams. Guitar tone is awesome. Jazz influence is welcomed. Not down with world view lyrics.
Out of their first five masterpieces (I'm reluctant to include Sabotage in that category, although I really like that one as well), Vol. 4 is arguably Sabbath at their most progressive. So much so that they even pulled out a mellotron on "Changes." The riffs are as mean, dark and heavy as ever, but the songs are generally more complex and varied, with interesting time signatures and changes. In terms of playing, what really stood out to me here was Tony Iommi’s soloing, it's top-notch throughout, even though he's not usually praised as a lead player. His cleaner tone and chord choices are also excellent here. The guitar work in general might be some of Iommi’s best. At its peak, the album shows Sabbath firing on all cylinders. Tracks such as the opener "Wheels of Confusion", "Supernaut","Snowblind", and the closer "Under the Sun" showcase a band sounding tighter and more confident than ever. Unfortunately, the whole tracklist doesn't maintain that level. I've never really cared for "Changes", Ozzy's delivery feels awkward and the lyrics a bit cheesy. Sabbath has always had that one "softer" track to break up the heaviness, but earlier examples like "Planet Caravan" or "Solitude" felt more authentic and in line with their aesthetic. Thankfully, "Laguna Sunrise" takes the role of a slow Sabbath song this time and does it really well (it reminds me a bit of Zeppelin's "Rain Song". Then there's also the bizarre interlude "FX", which sounds like Iommi just messing around with effects pedals. It adds nothing of value to the album and feels like filler. On the production side, don't know if it's just the Spotify release, but it felt really uneven at times (for example, "Cornucopia" sounds muffled, kind of like it has a high pass filter over the whole guitar track, will have to check out other recordings to see if this is a persistent issue on all issues). In general, I feel like the production here is a little worse than their previous album and not up to par with other 1972 releases. In summary, if you'd leave "Changes" and "FX" out of the tracklist, this is very easily a 10/10 album. 4/5
ozzy se ha matao
Pues tan heavy no es
fav songs: Changes Wheels of Confusion
RIP Ozzy. Just great music, love the guitar. Albums remains interesting throughout. Favourite Song: Supernaut Honourable Mentions: Under the Sun, Snowblind
This was my first time actually listening to Black Sabbath, and I gotta say, this wasn't remotely as corrupting or frightening as all the breathless evening news reports made it sound. I'm honestly disappointed; I was expecting Satan in his palace of brimstone and instead, I even got a song that was Satan on holiday in Spain. Outside of that, though, this was an oddly enjoyable listen. RIP Ozzy.
3.5 / 5.0 The weakest among their first five albums that make up Sabbath's peak but it's still decently strong. Each album for that run, five albums in a four year period, have 2-3 all-time classic songs (like Snowblind and Supernaut) surrounded by relative fluff. I wonder if they would receive more critical acclaim if they didn't pump so many albums out and could release just two albums with their best material. RIP Ozzy but Changes is a painful song to listen to.
I've been interested to hear more early heavy metal, but so far I've found it a bit tame. Most of the stuff I found most interesting on this album was when it drifts away from metal. Still, I enjoyed having it on.
Great album for me to get deeper into sabbath other than the very few tracks I knew. Some great guitar rhythm and solos throughout, opening track fantastic. Lost the energy with a few in the middle, but there was always a track there to bring it back good and heavy.
Vol. 4 is solid classic rock through and through. The first few tracks really stand out, though the energy and uniqueness taper off a bit as the album goes on. Still, it holds up as a great listen from one of the genre’s icons. RIP Ozzy Osbourne.
rip ozzy you legend I hope you and the bat have a good time
Top quality rock from a time when men were men and wore more eyeliner than most drag queens. Would recommend
Not my teacup of bat blood
This is an amazing album. Changes is beautiful song, there wasnt much to dislike here!
A laid back Sabbath on this album, melodic and lighter than the Sabbath I think of. Changes and Under the sun/Every day comes and goes are probably my highlights. Very listenable but missing the big hits that mark their best albums. 4
Black Sabbath sound is a lot closer to Led Zepplin than I thought. Wish I had checked them out sooner. This album is apparently one of the weaker of their first 5 albums. It’s still a low to mid 4 - so expecting big things from the other Sabbath albums on the list. Supernaught was a particular fave
BS4 is much better than expected with a surprising amount of variety. Fav tracks are Supernaut, Cornucopia, and Under the sun / Every day comes and goes.
This album is my first brush with Black Sabbath in the wake of Ozzy's departure from this planet; and its been an eye opening experience. I'd say this album leans more towards Hard Rock than Heavy Metal, but regardless its the first time I've found myself properly "getting" these genres. I realised that I have been missing a cornerstone of this form of expression. Black Sabbath make it make sense. Its a surprisingly tender album and has far more musical depth and detail than I was expecting. Damn me for dismissing this earlier!
A great introduction to Black Sabbath for me today, I spent the day listening to their first 5 records and loved each one. RIP Ozzy.
Great album. Changes is very underrated.
RIP Ozzy
Just do damn good
RIP Ozzie. This was my first time listening to a Sabbath album front to back and it was a great one to start with. For all of the proggy epics like "Wheels of Confusion" and "Snowblind " there were some change-ups like "FX" and "Laguna Sunrise" making it much more diverse than I would have thought. When I was growing up, I saw them as too scary, almost taboo. Now, they seem tame rather than sinister or menacing. But this one rocks hard and Ozzie is in fine form.
Was anybody, with the exception of maybe Zeppelin, making anything that sounded like Supernaut in 1971? These guys are the true pioneers of metal. Don't know if I admire Ozzy's killer vocals or the electrifying riffs and solos of Tony Iommi more. Also appreciate their ability to mix it up, like with the great ballad Changes and the lovely instrumentals on Laguna Sunrise. Would say rest in peace Ozzy, but I prefer to imagine him in some far off celestial space, still living a chaotic, creative existence
Completely different from what I expected, almost soulful. Great sound. FS: Changes. RIP Ozzy
Misjudged this - the same slammin instrumentals as other metal but with a vocal style I can get on board with.
Yesterday's album was from Van Halen and I said that really wasn't my kind of thing, so given this shares a number of similarities, I was convinced it was never getting a very high score from me. However it turns out I like Ozzy as a vocalist way more - that Van Halen album was almost cartoonish as a result of the vocal but Ozzy sounds genuine and that's far more engaging. The guitar solos on this record also feel less like someone just showing off how good they are - they fit the groove of the song far better for me. Changes is a fantastic song that I already knew (though Bowie takes gold in the "Best Song Called Changes" Olympics). I really liked the main riff in Supernaut. By Snowblind I'd realised I did really like this (love the strings). Despite the fact I would have felt like I was committing some sort of crime the day after Ozzy's death, I was very much prepared not to like this and give a low score as a result. But nope, I like it a lot. 4/5
I’ve spent embarrassingly little time with Black Sabbath in the past. I’ve known the big hits, but not much beyond that. I figured today would be a good day to rectify this oversight of my musical knowledge and I spent the day not only listening to Vol 4, but also their self-titled debut, Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Their self-titled album was by far my favourite. It’s not only the debut of Black Sabbath, but of heavy metal itself. The Wizard alone deserves a 5/5. Paranoid and Vol 4 were probably my next favourites. I actually knew most of the songs on Paranoid, but only really knew Changes on Vol 4. Changes is also one of my all time favourite songs. Thoroughly enjoyed both of these and will return to them the next time I want some good hard rock. I’ll give these both 4/5. Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath were probably my least favourite of the bunch. They were still good, but almost felt too polished compared to the earlier albums. I did enjoy the acoustic tracks on Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Maybe I was just getting a bit burnt out on Black Sabbath after listening to them all day, but I’d give these two 3/5.
Not my favorite Black Sabbath. It seems good enough, but nothing stands out. I enjoy hearing Ozzie's voice throughout, especially on Changes.
fuck yea dude
Brilliant. For some reason I always thought “Changes” was a solo Ozzy track. Never really liked it, but in the context of the album it works. Could have done without “Laguna Sunrise”, though. I’ll give them credit for trying something different but it didn’t work for me. Other than that one a fantastic album.
Very appropriate selection since Ozzie passed away the day before on July 22. Nice album, however, I am rounding down from 4.5 in rating.
Liked this more than expected! Rip ozzie
What would the world be like had there been no Sabbath? Supernaut is a great track.
This is now the second time that our non-random RIP disc has been a middling album. All the elements seem to be there, but there was no song that really knocked me out. But may his memory be a blessing all the same.

Favorite Track: Snowblind
