I went into this thinking I liked Soundgarden more than I actually do. Quite boring to be honest. 3.33 average per track,

Not bad but became sort of grating after a while. 2.33

Radiohead
1/5
Today I am so happy because this is the last Radiohead album I ever have to listen to for the rest of my life. There are 6 albums on the generator (two of them have been removed from the book). While I clearly don't like Radiohead I can agree that they should have one or two albums on here but six feels over-represented. Whiny and pretentious. 1.27

Jurassic 5
5/5
4.667 average per track. Excluded “this is” and “react”. Fantastic album.
Aretha Franklin
4/5
3.82 average per track.
The Allman Brothers Band
3/5
Pretty cool if you want to listen to a 20 minute guitar solo. I don't. 2.71
The Black Keys
3/5
3.33 average per track. Consistent with my overall feeling, very average.
Van Halen
2/5
2.36 per track average. I absolutely do not understand Van Halen, it’s just not good.
Beatles
3/5
3.36 per track. Some weird tracks on this.
Manu Chao
3/5
2.81 average per track. I actually enjoyed this more than the rating suggests. I think the language barrier prevented me from rating anything higher than 3 and there were a couple 2s in there.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
Glimpses of the Stones good songs but overall not great.
The Stone Roses
2/5
I'm pretty sure there are already 40 or so albums that sound just like this on the list. Not good with the exception of Fools Gold. 1.69
Animal Collective
2/5
It definitely makes me feel a certain way so I guess it succeeds at being art. Unfortunately it makes me feel irritated and I do not enjoy it. 1.81 average per track.
Nitin Sawhney
2/5
1.75 average per track.
Blondie
3/5
3 average per track.
The Go-Go's
3/5
3.08 average per track. Enjoyed this more that I thought I would.
The Saints
2/5
Pretty good for a punk album but that’s not saying much. 2.375.
ZZ Top
3/5
The hits are great, other tracks seem.... bland? 3.27
Fugees
4/5
3.76 per track. If it wasn’t for mista mista and the skits this would have scored much higher. Great album.
Lupe Fiasco
3/5
3.32 average per track. Wish I could have excluded intro and outro because they brought the average down and the rest of the tracks are quite good.
Deee-Lite
2/5
2.16 average per track.
Screaming Trees
3/5
3.0 average which makes sense as it seemed very average.
Van Halen
3/5
3.33 average mainly because Panama and Jump are pretty good. The rest is bad.
Kid Rock
4/5
3.5 per track. Actually pretty good despite the juvenile lyrics and the slur.
Santana
3/5
3.33 per track.
Curtis Mayfield

Stephen Stills
3/5
This is quite good, nothing spectacular but consistently listenable.
Herbie Hancock
3/5
This started out so funky that I had high hopes but the it was jazz-y and fusion-y or whatever and I lost interest after the 886th hour. 2.5
Coldplay
1/5
Well there we have it. The worst fucking album on this list. I hear there’s another Coldplay album on this list so please pray for me.
Johnny Cash
3/5
3.2 per track. Some absolutely fantastic songs and some not so great, nothing too awful.
Average 3 per track. Pretty decent but didn’t seem to groundbreaking.
Charles Mingus
2/5
Thought I would enjoy this. I did not.

Aphex Twin

Background music? 1.77.
Paul Simon
2/5
I astounded by all the 5 stars on this album. Bass playing is good but the tone is outrageously bad. I’ve never heard LBM but I’m certain they are so much better when Paul Simon isn’t involved. 2.18 average per track.
Fleet Foxes
3/5
2.7 per track.

Fairport Convention
4/5
3.6 per track. Hadn't ever heard Fairport Convention and they are pretty good!
Gotan Project

2.25 average per track, excluded the tales. This is not a type of music that I’ve listened to.
Steely Dan

Radiohead
2/5
yuck. 1.79
Iron Maiden
4/5
3.5. Pretty good, Brice is too operatic and dramatic for me to really get into.
Kate Bush
2/5
2.1 per track. I absolutely hated this at the start but kind of liked it as I listened more? Only Kate bush I had heard before was Running up that hill, which is a great song despite how much it overplayed during the Stranger Things spotlight, this album is not what I was expecting.
The Who
3/5
2.75 per track. I didn’t really care for this but can hear why it’s important l.
Beastie Boys
3/5
New drinking game: take a shot every time they say “girlies” then die of alcohol poisoning. Appreciate the blend of rap and rock here but there’s only one flow between 3 different dudes.
Teenage Fanclub

Is it just me or does modern R&B seem insincere, like they don’t mean what they are signing about. They’ve got the technique down but it’s missing passion and soul. 1.71
Scritti Politti
2/5
Decent 80s jams here but then the singing starts and ruins it. 1.54
The Divine Comedy
2/5

Tears For Fears
3/5
Liked this a lot more than I thought. 3.25
George Michael
2/5
I was one of those insufferable guys that says they like all types of music. One thing this list (and album) did for me was show that that is absolutely not true. I do not like music like this at all and there are lots like it on this list.

Listen, I'm unironically a Limp Bizkit fan but this isn't the album to include here. Durst is well into his Flanderization at this point. Three Dollar Bill should be here first because it is much better and second it was much more groundbreaking. Even Significant Other should be here instead. Who knows, maybe they are on the list. 3.57.

2/5
You know what, I’m in a bad mood and feel like taking it out on this album. Fuck this album, fuck all of its generic mediocrity. This is worse than the worst rated albums on this site, at least those are interesting. This is just run of the mill 90s alt without any heart. 1.7

This is album is great if you just want to listen to clips of people talking. Not bad but a little corny when it's actually music. 1.55
Foo Fighters
2/5
I once called The Foo Fighters the “Nickelback of alternative rock” and got reprimanded for it. Of course, Nickelback is the Nickelback of alternative rock but my point is that Foo Fighters is bland and uninspired radio rock slop and more deserving of the reputation Nickelback is actually much better and Foo Fighters should have gotten all that hate instead. 2.42

Fuck, I hate this. What’s the point? It is literally a soundtrack and has absolutely no meaning because it is missing the film. 1.2
