Popular Reviews

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.

If I wanted to be screamed at for 40 minutes I’d just call my mother.

Live! by Fela Kuti

It’s funny because just yesterday I reviewed an album I said there’s no way in hell I’m listening to a long ass instrumental. Just one day later I have proven myself wrong because I just listened to a 15 minute drum solo and was completely enthralled with it. So maybe this music shit really is subjective!

Smash by The Offspring

The extreme urge to start moshing

In the Bible, it says what goes around, comes around Hommo shot me, three weeks later he got shot down Now it’s clear that I’m here for a real reason 'Cause he got hit like I got hit, but he ain't fuckin' breathin What can I say? The first album I ever owned. My introduction into Hip Hop. This album shaped me and started my journey into music. 50 really came on the scene with a bang and Get Rich or Die Trying is an album to me that has no skips. His flow, his lyrics, the classic records. Man, what an album!

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Feb 21 2024

Tough to get through but respect to the legends

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Feb 22 2024

At first I thought I was gonna need shrooms to finish this album lol but no the music was amazing, I understand why this is a classic

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Feb 23 2024

I was asleep on the plane but when I came too it sounded great. It sounded way ahead of its time and I’m adding it to the rotation

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Feb 25 2024

I never really appreciated this album when it first came out. I think it was because everyone around me was dumping on it so I followed suit (very weak of me). But listening to it again without tasteless people in my ear telling me it’s trash, it was actually an amazing listen. The instrumentation on the songs, the depth of the lyrics, the constant overarching theme of the album. K-Dot deserved all the praise that I previously believed was unwarranted. Plus the last song and his “conversation” with Tupac was well done.

Feb 28 2024

This review is a MC REN appreciation review. Quiet on tha set is an onslaught of fly rapping, dope ass flow and a bomb ass beat. I really think he’s underrated and I think he needs his flowers, that is all. Classic album indeed!

Mar 05 2024

This album reminds me of why I always say if I could live in any decade, it would be the 80s. Driving down the highway, top down with this music blasting and the purest of cocaine in my system. What a time to be alive!

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Mar 07 2024

I think most music these days lack that raw emotion and I hate that for the new generation.

Mar 08 2024

I didn’t think I was going to like this album because this genre has never been my thing. But like most of the albums that I’ve heard on this journey, I was pleasantly surprised by how great this music sounds to me. I even saved some of these songs to play again. I knew Queen was a legendary group and of course I knew the hits but I never listened to any of their albums. I will now dive deeper into their discography, that’s what I love about this site!

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Mar 15 2024

The album wasn’t bad but the third song on the album sounded like they stuck a microphone up an elephant’s ass and told it to go crazy. Which now as I type I realize that it’s maybe a bagpipe but it still pissed me off 😂

Mar 16 2024

Not for me. However, I could dance to this in a pub with a beautiful woman. Thus marking the beginning of a tumultuous love story

A tornado flew around my room before you came. Excuse the mess it made, it usually doesn’t rain in southern California, much like Arizona, my eyes don’t shed tears but boy they bawlin. I’m thinking bout you, oh no no no, Ive been thinking bout you, you know know know. I’ve been thinking about you, do you think about me still? Do ya? Do ya? OR DO YOU NOT THINK SO FAR AHEADDDD! CUZ I BEEN THINKING BOUT FOREVA OOOOOOOOO

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Mar 30 2024

Ahhh the 80’s a time of vibes and innovation. I love how most of the songs on this album seem like a jam session. I think I might’ve enjoyed the instrumentation more than the lyrics (except on the classic songs of course). They made 8 songs feel a whole lot longer. In all, I enjoyed this listen.

Guero by Beck
Apr 02 2024

I thoroughly enjoyed this album. I like how it kept me on my toes and didn’t stick to one genre. I think he did a little bit of everything well on this project. However, I think it suffered from the Jack of all trades but master of none syndrome. I would’ve liked to see him lock in on one sound and give us a beautiful experience with it. Ultimately, it was still a solid project. Loved the tribute song to Elliott Smith as well.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Apr 03 2024

This album surprised me, I didn’t think I was going to like after the first song. However, it turned out to be a really good album. It’s just simply great music to me. Plus Skin was singing her tail off. Pleasantly surprised!.

Apr 04 2024

I love this type of music. I think it’s hitting more because it’s raining today. They really did a good job of capturing the mood of the film with the instrumentation. I was fooled by the first track in thinking there would be lyrics. Although I love lyrics, it didn’t take away from the album like it usually does for me.

The Score by Fugees
Apr 05 2024

Of course I knew all of the hits but I would’ve never knew the b-sides were just as fire. I love Hip-Hop man, especially the production aspect of it. It’s always amazing to see how they flip records and make them bump in the headphones. This also makes me miss lyrics man, I know all rap isn’t lyricless now but it doesn’t hit the same. I think what I’m trying to say is that I like when music has a message. Of course I like the fun music to that you just dance to. But there’s something special about being able to convey your message in a unique artistic way. That’s what this album accomplishes so well to me. I also want to reiterate that these beats are absolutely insane. I haven’t stopped nodding my head since I pressed play.

Graceland by Paul Simon
Apr 06 2024

This album sounds like a man who was lost musically and discovered new sounds abroad like the synopsis says. You can hear the joy of discovery in the production and the lyrics. Close your eyes you can picture Paul Simon jumping around, dancing and having fun in the studio while making this. That, my friends, is the absolute magic of music and I’m glad he was able to capture that in the form of sound. I think this is what an epiphany sounds like!

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Apr 08 2024

Fam, you can’t even deny this album. 5 stars, 6 of it was possible!

Apr 09 2024

I just want to be in the room when they made those beats. Like how did you think to put jazz instruments on break beats. I love Hip hop and this is it in its purest form. Classic!!

Sex Packets by Digital Underground
Apr 10 2024

RIP Shock G 🕊️🕊️🕊️

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Apr 11 2024

I can’t ever give this lower than 5 stars because what it did for hip hop. Specifically west coast Hip Hop. I understand the argument that Snoop carried this but Snoop didn’t produce this album. The beats are absolutely insane especially for 92’. Dre’s ear is almost impeccable man all of these songs sound incredible. Everything from background vocals to transitions are perfectly placed. Its just classic!

Apr 13 2024

I never listened to this album all the way through before and based off the hits, it’s not what I expected in the best way possible. The stark contrast in the content between the two, even the production and overall mood of the two disc don’t feel the same. I think they did an incredible job of showcasing 3 stacks and Big Bois differences as artists. The music just sounds good to me. Classic album (The hits sound better in the flow of the project)!!

Electric Prunes by The Electric Prunes
Apr 15 2024

I wasn’t expecting that goofy goober ass song at the end of the album. Felt like I was instantly transported to a silly old cartoon. That shit really threw me off and if I was high listening to this, I don’t know how I’d react. But other than that this is a solid project, I had too much to dream last night is a fire way to start off an album too!

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Apr 16 2024

You ever want to go back to the first time you heard a particular album or song? Well I want to go back to this morning when I first heard Bell Bottom Blues. I mean that shit just hit me instantly. I love this album, I’m adding it to the rotation.

Apr 17 2024

This album is long as hell. Felt like I was doing a homework assignment for extra credit. I like a few of the songs though! I’m still undecided whether I hate or love his voice…

Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto
Apr 18 2024

This album is soooo smooth man wow! It’s like a weighted blanket for my ears. Her voice is so soothing as well. The older I get the more I appreciate more calming music!

Snivilisation by Orbital
Apr 19 2024

At first I thought it wasn’t for me but it definitely turned in to a vibe! Felt like doing on beat body rolls while walking through a club. Sounds like a soundtrack to a 90s porno film though but in the best way possible.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Apr 20 2024

I fell like I’ve been living under a rock because I’ve never heard of them until this morning. This album took me by surprise to say the least and I thoroughly enjoyed every track on the album. Such an easy listen and especially great for a train ride into the city. Definitely adding this album into the rotation!

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Apr 21 2024

Although I admire the originality and creativity of this album, it’s simply just not for me.

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Apr 22 2024

I feel like this is one of those albums that you have to be in the right mood, atmosphere & situation to appreciate it or vibe to it. I simply was not in that mood, atmosphere or situation.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Apr 23 2024

Holy shit this album just took me on a spiritual journey. I now know the meaning of life and it’s not what I expected. I’m not ok and I’ll never be ok again. Seriously though, what an album! This sounds so incredible and it may be the strain I’m blowing in the air but this sounds perfect to me. Every damn cord has hit my chest like a ton of bricks. Thank you for this journey to the center of the earth. Ok they lost me at the end of disc 2 but I’m still giving this a 5 😂

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Apr 24 2024

I don’t know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn’t this. Listening to this felt like I was watching a budding romance montage scene in a movie for 40+ minutes. Catchy enough to keep your attention but empty enough to not over power the scene. At least it’s not terrible music, just feels very hollow. Like he’s never felt a real emotion in his life.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Apr 25 2024

Australia is a great song. This album altogether was not too bad of a listen!

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Apr 26 2024

Aye I’m not gonna hold you but she sounds angelic as hell on this. Like she’s floating on a cloud, laying down chilling & singing into a microphone. She’s got me contemplating where the hell I’m going in life and have I experienced enough in this life to sing with this much emotion. Holy shit bro 😭

Sulk by The Associates
Apr 28 2024

Ahhh the 80s, a time for musical experimentation. Some hit and some missed. This shit missed like a 3 point shot from Shaq.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Apr 29 2024

This album is solid off of into my arms alone!

Brothers by The Black Keys
Apr 30 2024

Listened to this album while riding a bike through town. Perfect album for such a day!

The Predator by Ice Cube
May 01 2024

Classssssssiccccccc!! The beat on Wicked is absolutely insane. It Was A Good Day will never ever get old. Check yo self still bangs. It’s cohesive, he’s actually saying something other than the usual, and as I mentioned, the beats are absolutely insane!

Manassas by Stephen Stills
May 02 2024

I liked a couple of songs which is more than I thought I would so there’s that.

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
May 03 2024

Her voice was so soothing that I fell asleep on the train. But in the best way possible!

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
May 04 2024

This album sounds like a sunny walk through the park after a successful first date. Or sitting out by the lake just staring out into the distance with a cold beer sitting next to you. Tremendous stuff!

May 05 2024

It’s always incredible to hear a once in a generation type of talent doing what he loved to do in front of an appreciative audience. Cracking jokes, enjoying himself and putting on a great performance. RIP Kurt Cobain 🙏🏾🕊️

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
May 06 2024

Meh 🫤 I’m gonna go listen to Prince.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
May 07 2024

Beautiful voice and what a unique concept album. It really showcased her range as an artist, blending genres together. The production is so cinematic and takes into the world she was trying to create with this album. Especially the last song, it sounds like a score. It’s nice to get some more albums on this list from this past decade!

May 08 2024

Altogether, some of the musical choices on this album weren’t for me. However, the album did have some moments and those moments were very strong moments. Baby on Fire, Cindy Tells Me & On Some Faraway Beach were enough for me to rate this album like a 3.9 but I’ll round up for the sake of it!

The Man Who by Travis
May 09 2024

This whole album sounds like the part of an early 2000’s Rom-Com when the falling out happens. So they show a montage of them living separate lives. That’s where I’m currently at in life so this shit hit me directly 😂

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
May 10 2024

I cut this album on and immediately started two stepping to the train. Then suddenly I was transported to a random park with a bunch of people. They looked familiar and they smiled at me. I was confused but then it clicked, I realized they were my family! A sweet older woman reached out and handed me a plate. She ushered me to the table and waited patiently for me to finish. Then, off in the distance, I hear a familiar phrase come on to the speaker, “WE ARE FAMILY!” I drop my plate, rush to the dance floor, and two step the night away. An experience I’ll never forget!

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
May 11 2024

The album isn’t terrible. It’s just that I’ve heard this style of music done better.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
May 12 2024

This album is so soothing in a hauntingly beautiful way.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
May 13 2024

This album is all over the place. Bro was definitely trying to figure what type of music he wanted to make and I appreciate the experimentation of it. It kind of reminds me of life and how most of us are just throwing shit at a wall and hoping it sticks.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
May 14 2024

This album is absolutely beautiful. I mean Ella Fitzgerald is a legend and I see why. The music is angelic, soothing and the perfect background music for when you’re doing something mindless. With that being said, 3 hours is a lot of damn music. I’m trying my best to sit through it because luckily I have time today. But damn, after a while it gets monotonous. Update: I finished the entire thing, I think I’ve made my grandparents proud.

Atomizer by Big Black
May 15 2024

80’s punk eh? I kinda dig it.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
May 16 2024

Self titled albums either hit or miss. This one damn sure didn’t miss 🔥

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
May 17 2024

Despite the man who made it being a twat, the album was ok. Lets face it the man does what he does well but he did it better than the 80s. Also, what does he have against burgers? A burger has never hurt anyone but a racist… nevermind, 3 out 5 stars.

Moving Pictures by Rush
May 18 2024

This shit BANGS from start to finish!! I should listen to this on my run & I’ll run a damn marathon 😤

Machine Head by Deep Purple
May 19 2024

Banger after banger after banger after banger after banger after banger….

May 20 2024

Idk what my man was saying but it sounded fly as shit! We love a 90s break beat so it doesn’t matter what language is being rapped on it. I need to translate this so I can use some of these lines in real life if they apply 😂

In Rainbows by Radiohead
May 21 2024

Beautiful album 🤲🏾

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
May 22 2024

I listened to most of this album on the train with the sun shining on my face. It was the perfect album for it, beautiful music.

May 23 2024

I have an uncontrollable urge to headbang to this album! This music just makes you feel good, I think it comes with a pill that makes you want to scream these lyrics at the top of your lungs. Now I just need to learn the lyrics 😂

Dog Man Star by Suede
May 24 2024

I was not expecting this album to be this good to me. I’ve been downloading songs left & right. We are the Pigs woke me the fuck up this morning!!

Dummy by Portishead
May 25 2024

Album was a vibe, cleaned the house to it and caught myself scrubbing to the beat 😂

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
May 27 2024

I have no idea how to rate this album. Part of me feels like I’m being read a bedtime story by someone else’s grandpa. Strange but yet still comforting. The other part of me thinks it’s one of the most beautiful & unique pieces of music that I’ve heard in a while. So I guess that means it’s a 3????????

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
May 28 2024

They came on the scene swinging, I have to respect it.

The Cars by The Cars
May 29 2024

Yea this album sounds incredible, not much else to say beyond that!

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
May 30 2024

She set the bar too high with Buffalo Stance. But that bar was so damn high that it makes this a high rated album for me.

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
May 31 2024

Interesting project. Soothing to the ears at times, harsh at others. At one point it did calm my mind a bit which was much appreciated. I don’t love it but I definitely don’t hate it.

Jun 01 2024

This was tough to get through for me. Album was really slow and I just wasn’t in the mood for it. Not for me.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Jun 02 2024

Aye these boys can rap! I never listened to a full Beastie Boys project because it just never crossed my mind to. I came not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this music. Especially the B-Boy Bouillabaisse section of the album. It kinda showcased their ability to rap on a variety of different beats. Solid project!

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jun 03 2024

This album holds a special place for me because it reminds me of my childhood. My mom used to have My Sweet Lord blasting in the living room in the evening, rocking back and forth in her favorite chair. That one song is very special, this is my first time listening to the entire album through and it’s just a solid collection of ok songs. There isn’t too much that’s remarkable about this album. You are bound to have at least a couple of standout records with such a long album. However, in order for it to be a certified high rated album, I would want it to have more records that are undeniably good. It just doesn’t have that. All that being said, I can’t rate this lower than a 4 because of My Sweet Lord! My bias won’t let me 🤷🏾‍♂️😂

Parklife by Blur
Jun 04 2024

This album was so fun to listen to especially for my run this morning. Shoutout to Brit Pop 🔥

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Jun 06 2024

I really enjoyed this album. It was a smooth listen and this subject matter is always gonna speak to me because of where I’m at in life. It wasn’t remarkable by any stretch of the term but most of the albums on this list aren’t so maybe that’s not the point. It was beautiful music nonetheless! Also, what happened to the concept of the hidden track? I like that, we should bring that back.

Tago Mago by Can
Jun 07 2024

Man I’m sorry but I just don’t have the patience to listen to an 18 minute long song. I mean it’s have to be the greatest sound my ears have ever heard. This was not that sound.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jun 08 2024

It’s funny because just yesterday I reviewed an album I said there’s no way in hell I’m listening to a long ass instrumental. Just one day later I have proven myself wrong because I just listened to a 15 minute drum solo and was completely enthralled with it. So maybe this music shit really is subjective!

Devotional Songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Jun 09 2024

My spirits were in hell but this album brought them back up a bit. It was light, fun and it had the ability to affect your mood. What more could you ask of an album?

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Jun 10 2024

My introduction to Motörhead was through WWE lol so it’s interesting to hear a full project of theirs. I’m not mad at the music, it’s not something that I’ll ever go back to but the music is solid. The voice is unique, the instrumentals bang and it’s just an enjoyable listen. 3.5/5!

Jun 11 2024

This album is so damn good. The run of songs from The Scientist to Warning Signs is just an impeccable collection of songs. The lyrics hit deep, Chris Martin’s vocals never disappoint, and the whole album is a five just based on the piano play on Warning Signs. My only critique is that I was 7 when this album came out and couldn’t experience it in real time but I plan on making up for lost time by playing the shit out of this album.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jun 12 2024

Just when I start to think this project is giving me duds then they rip off a string of solid projects. This one was no different, it wasn’t too remarkable in anyway but it is a solid project. Psychedelic Rock for the win!

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jun 14 2024

Don’t get me wrong this shit bangs at certain periods. But sir, why are you screaming in my ear?? 2.5/5

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jun 15 2024

This album has some timeless records on it & I feel like when you create music that transcends generations, then that elevates the status of the album. Sound wise, I think they did what they do very well (what does that even mean?) which makes the album an easy listen.

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Jun 17 2024

The guitars gave this album life! I love the diversity of the sound and the listen was enjoyable.

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Jun 18 2024

Cmon now this is beautiful music, you cant even deny it. Even if it’s not your thing or you hate jazz, you can still tell that this is it at its peak. I do feel like you have to be in the right mood/setting for it to hit best though. Now excuse me while I light this cigar.

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Jun 19 2024

This was a cool album to listen to. Unremarkable except for a few tracks but it wasn’t a chore to listen to.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jun 21 2024

I’m torn because on one hand I love the guitars and the drums but on the other hand I can’t stand them screaming in my fucking ear. I know you can’t have one without the other so what a conundrum!

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jun 22 2024

This sounds like a bunch of guys were in an old bar and were just having a jam sesh, then decided to record that shit fr. I like the spontaneity of it and of course the actual music is great.

Leftism by Leftfield
Jun 23 2024

This was a solid album to throw on in the background while you’re doing other stuff. I liked the beats & I liked the vibes!

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Jun 24 2024

This was a surprisingly beautiful album! I had no idea what to expect going into it and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Jun 25 2024

So you’re telling me that this beautiful piece of art has been out here for damn near 50 years and I’m JUST now hearing it?? Gen X you’ve failed us once again. Lol but seriously this album is incredible!

I Against I by Bad Brains
Jun 26 2024

Rasta punk eh?? I like it!

Goodbye And Hello by Tim Buckley
Jun 27 2024

60’s psychedelic music never sounds bad to me. It can get monotonous at times but it’s never a chore to get through and there’s usually some beautiful music accompanied with it. This album is par for the course. Plus I like how he blended psychedelic with folk and it’s kind of seamless.

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Jun 28 2024

The original version isn’t on Spotify anymore so I listened to the demo version. Idk how different the two are but based off the Demo version, I can see why this is revered from what I’ve seen online. It’s just a good collection of music. The Last Living Rose is so good, I immediately threw it in my rotation. I just wish the song was longer!

Jun 29 2024

Someone go get me my baggy pants quick, I’m feeling real 2002 right now. Album is solid, easy listen, perfect vibe for today!

This album was beautiful, sad, seamless & soothing all at the same time.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jul 02 2024

Listen I love instruments more than the next guy so obviously this album provides that in volume. It just has to be the best I’ve ever heard for me to sit and listen to an entire project of it. This was good but not great.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Jul 03 2024

Idk what it is with my generation and our attention spans but 15 minute songs make my butt itch. I recognize it’s great music and it sounds good but my brain (and ears) can’t sit and listen to a song that long. So I guess this rating is more for myself than the actual project 😂 Edit*** I made it to the end of the 15 minute song and that shit ended with some pizzazz (or pijazz if you will) so I’m upping my rating

Unique sound, I do think Pretty in Pink carried this album though. All around solid project not too moving but didn’t suck.

Jul 15 2024

I love this project. It’s soothing to the ears and just evokes emotion out of you. You can hear the pain, the yearning in Frank’s voice and the instrumentation only enhanced that. A well done collab project, 28 minutes is so easy to digest too.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jul 16 2024

It’s crazy to think that this was a new genre. The innovation alone makes this album stand out to me plus to incorporate rock into was seamless. Legendary group. Legendary album. Nothing less than 5 stars is appropriate! RIP Jam Master J 🕊️

Jul 17 2024

I’m torn because this shit bops but I love 80’s music. So is it really that good? Or is my biases just overpowering the mediocrity that could possibly be this album? Ahh who cares this shit bops!

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 12 2024

I had Bruce all kinds of F’d up. My bad Mr. Boss, I wasn’t familiar with your game.

Aug 13 2024

This album was really theatrical in the best ways possible. It felt like I was seated watching a play with some of the most unique music that I’ve heard. Of course I’ve heard Bohemian Rhapsody before but to hear it within the sequence of the album just elevated the quality of it even more. Incredible listen!

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 14 2024

This album isn’t bad it’s just not that remarkable. Like I probably could’ve died without ever hearing a single lyric, but if a song from it comes on I won’t get violent. So there’s that!

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Aug 15 2024

That guitar and harmonica the end of Can I Sleep in Your Arms is five stars on its own. This album lost me a bit but thats more because of taste rather than quality. Overall this was an easy, lovely listen and a great taste breaker for myself!

Aug 16 2024

Not really sure what the hell I just listened to for 56 minutes but that’s 56 minutes of my life that I won’t get back. This sounds like my 2 year old niece in the kitchen just banging on shot while my nephew screams over it in the most abrasive way. I’m sure there’s someone out there who loves this shit, I would like to meet them and pick their brain because maybe I’m missing something…

Aug 17 2024

You enter the club, feeling yourself, looking the best you’ve ever have. You look a cross the room and there she is, the one you’ve been waiting your entire life for. You both lock eyes, this album blasts in the background as you maneuver your way through the crowd to her. Just as you both make it to each other the beat drops and you both dance the night away. That’s what this album sounds like to me lmfao

Aug 29 2024

To make an album that stands the test of time must feel so special. Everything about this album is a five, the overall theme of being in a classroom learning about real world things. The classic songs that will never get old, and I mean never. The B Sides that you don’t hear too often but they make this project so well rounded. The lyrics that hit you deep and help you step into her world, her perspective. Just a phenomenal project and the true definition of a classic album.

Sep 14 2024

Idk why but I never allowed myself to think that covers were a thing before I started listening to music. I know, stupid but here we are. This album is 5 stars to me not only because it’s Otis Redding & his phenomenal voice but also because how cool it is to think what someone who was in his 20s in 1965 was inspired by. You get a sense of the person and what music at the time resonated with them. Really cool stuff when you think about it.

Ok this album was much better than I thought it would be. Justified by Justin Timberlake
Sep 23 2024

Aye finally some R&B after a run of rock records. I know it says pop but to me this is R&B. Of course I know all of the hits on this album so I was really looking forward to hearing all of the B-Sides. I thought they were really good R&B records, I love early 2000s Timbaland production anyways & this was a clinic. I always thought that when executed perfectly, there’s nothing better than a great R&B record. That shit will make you feel good!! Negatively though every record starts to sound the same and it’s almost too pop at times like he was trying to break away from that sound that made him famous. But it’s not too egregious like the other reviews I’ve seen, so I didn’t hate it 🤷🏾‍♂️

This is the music you slow dance in the living room to with the love of your life after a candlelit home cooked anniversary dinner. This is the music playing in your headphones when you’re sitting on a bench in the park & the sun catches that jogger just right so you have to draw it. This is the music playing in the elevator when you’re on your way to that big interview for the job of dreams and it somehow calms the nerves right before you step off the elevator. Beautiful music, 10/5 stars!

OK Computer by Radiohead
Oct 20 2024

Most Radiohead songs sound like a montage in an early 2000’s teen drama. And I love One Tree Hill so I guess that means I love this album???

Oct 21 2024

This is my type of rock album, when the vocals sounded like they were recorded in an empty apartment room. Voices just echoing everywhere, music sounds too polished these days dammit bring back the authenticity!!!

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Oct 22 2024

I mean this has to be one of the greatest 5 track albums ever right? You got an insane 13 minute intro which they shredded then you end the album with another incredible 12 minute song. Then you got a classic record and the two “filler” songs are damn incredible as well. Plus the album cover is five stars on its own. Kudos to them!

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Nov 07 2024

It must be country week for this project, I can’t escape this shit. Please make it stop!!! As far as the music, it wasn’t bad just unremarkable to me.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Nov 08 2024

This is the greatest album of all time. If you rated this any lower than a five, do me a favor and cut off your ears, then give them to someone else who deserves them. Not only is your music opinion invalid but you no longer deserve the ability to hear.

Nov 09 2024

Why is this man yelling at me for an hour?? But the bars were there, the lyrics are cringe in hindsight and i remembered why this is my favorite version of Eminem. He’s not spending an hour trying to prove that he can rap which has grown tiresome. Knocking off a star because that “Kim” record was uncomfortable. I know that should speak to the level artistry to be able to make the listener feel something but it was too much for me.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Nov 10 2024

Maybe my ears are off but the albums I enjoy on here tend to be rated low and the albums I don’t feel anything towards are rated high. But this album was fun, it wasn’t mixed the best, the vocals were the cleanest but I enjoyed listening to it. It actually kept me calm while I was damn near an hour late for my date and searching for parking in the city. So there’s that!

Kid A by Radiohead
Nov 14 2024

I just don’t get it. I hear glimpses of why Radiohead is so liked. The beautiful voice and strings, when perfect, sound incredible. Sadly, it is usually followed by some sort of distorted noise that just takes me out of it. It just turns me off to most of their music, I want to like it but it’s just not hitting for me.

Kenza by Khaled
Nov 20 2024

The worst part about this album was the lengths I had to go to actually listen to the damn thing. Once I found it,I found an entertaining album that had me tapping my feet. It had range, evoked emotion and was a treat to listen to.

Fire Of Love by The Gun Club
Nov 21 2024

The band did the heavy lifting for this record in my opinion. I live how they found a way to merge blues and punk together and it not sound like nails on a chalk board. Loses a star from me because it started to feel like the album was overstaying its welcome but towards the end.

Nov 22 2024

This album really threw me for a loop. Where it started and how it finished showed his range. I liked the depth of the lyrics in most of the songs and just the arrangement of the vocals. I always loved the stacked vocals in the 70s, it helps immerse you into the record like you can almost see the music. Traction in the Rain made this a 5 star album for, such a beautiful song. All in all, a tremendous record and performance by David Crosby.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 23 2024

Well look what we have here another fricking Elvis Costello album. If this guy makes my Spotify top artist I’m blaming the guy who made this list. I picture him in his living Tom right now doing the gahdamn twist to this record while his wife looks on in utter horror. Now, with all that hate out of the way, this album wasn’t the worst out of his apparently vast discography. It was actually one of the more enjoyable ones that I didn’t mind having on in the background while got ready for work. So kudos to you list guy, you got one Elvis Costello album out of 1000 kinda right. 3.5/5 stars

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne

So many vibes on this project, I’m not sure how I feel about it. But it captured my attention enough to keep me listening for an hour so I’m thinking that’s positive. Definitely will have to run this one back because I’m truly perplexed by it.

Nov 25 2024

I went into this blind expecting a heavy metal album because of the title. So you could imagine the pleasant surprise I was in for with this album. I didn’t pay too too much attention to it because I kinda had it on in the background but the songs I love, I loved! Im

Classsicccc hip hop man. Real early 2000’s southern rap at its peak. Outlast just knew how to put together complete projects. It was good to hear a young Killer Mike and Gangsta Boo (RIP 🕊️). Stacks and Big Boi will always deserve the praise they get because it’s been 24 years and this album doesn’t sound dated, I could see it being released with in the last decade honestly. You can hear where some current artists were inspired by it, like a Tyler or a Smino. Brilliant project all around!

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Nov 27 2024

N.E.R.D. will always have a space in Hip-Hop lore because of their versatility. The way this album has so many different genres flowing through it is what makes it so great. They did a lot of different things very well on here and they also made it make sense. I understand the low ratings because people in general have a hard time with things when they can’t find a box to place it in. So they reject it because they just can’t compute it. I implore you to put what you usually think something of a certain genre should sound like and try to listen with an open mind. It might sound way different to you plus that’s what this project is all about! Fantastic album, legendary collective, 757 forever!

Water From An Ancient Well by Abdullah Ibrahim
Nov 28 2024

I never understood how my parents listened to this type of music as a kid. But as an adult I understand the appeal. It’s soothing at times, delightful at others and all around good music. This was a nice way to start the day, I don’t think it was the most remarkable thing I’ve ever heard but it was enjoyable.

Nov 29 2024

I really need to start reading the genre before I listen because I was thinking it would be a metal album or something like that. This was nothing of the sort, it was the perfect music on a sunny day and it just made you feel good when you listened to it. Wasn’t familiar with Jamiroquai but I will get acquainted with them more now

Music that can’t be denied no matter how hard you try. The classics will always be classic!!

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Dec 04 2024

I loved this album. Listening to it felt cinematic, I could see the story they were trying to paint through the music which is always beautiful. I think the acoustic versions are the highlights of the project, I would like to hear the acoustic version of all of the songs tbh.

The Libertines by The Libertines
Dec 05 2024

This album isn’t bad but it isn’t remarkable. I’ve heard this album at least 7 times on this list.

Dec 06 2024

I love listening to live albums because you get to feel the energy of the crowd. It transports you to the venue and it’s like you’re taking in the live show with them. You get the artists personality and get a tiny glimpse into how they perform live. For older artists like Same Cooke, you get a sense of how they were received in that era. The music sounds incredible, his voice, command of the crowd and showmanship show through the records. I thoroughly enjoyed this record!

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Dec 08 2024

Now THIS is the type of music I enjoy. The vibes are immaculate, the songs are all similar but not in a dull way, the vocals float over the beat beautifully. I was immediately transported to summer by the lake with a beer in my hand staring off into the horizon. Not a skip on here and I’ll actually go back and listen to this again & again. This is why I came to this site in the first place!

Dec 09 2024

Sonically, this album is solid. It was great motivation for my run this morning. It got monotonous through the middle of it but the last few tracks were the highlight of the album for me. All around solid project!

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Dec 10 2024

I can’t even put into words how fire this album was to me. The whole thing made me feel like I was gracefully floating through time to happier times. I’m running this back again & again & again & again & again… & again!

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Dec 11 2024

First time listening to this! Classic album, I’m not sure on where I feel on how this ranks in his catalog but it’s damn sure at or near the top. Just top tier rapping, production, flow and song making. Hog is really one of the greatest to do this rap shit and he shows it constantly on this project. The beat on Blueprint!!!!! Eminem might’ve got him on Renegade though, I have to spin that back and see!

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Dec 12 2024

Solid album but nothing spectacular that grabbed my attention.

Liquid Swords by GZA
Dec 13 2024

GZA THE MFING GENIUS!!! This was a master class of cerebral, effortless, boom bap rapping. I need to listen to more of the solo Wu albums because this was great. My neck hurts because I was just nodding for 55 minutes straight. I gotta spin it back again so I can catch everything he was saying but the bars I did catch HIT. So happy to finally get some more Hip Hop because I was getting Rock’d out.

Name a better duo than Dr. Dre & that keyboard. Everything in this album seems to be in its perfect place. From the vocals, to the drums, to the skits. G-Funk is one of my favorite eras of hip-hop and nothing else will ever sound this good. One of the greatest albums in hip-hop history, loved this listen!

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Jan 08 2025

This was one genre blending thrill ride of a record. At times it felt dull and others it felt a little weird. Overall, I enjoyed listening to it and the good songs are fucking phenomenal.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jan 10 2025

Elliott Smith is such an amazing songwriter to me and this project was no different. His music can get monotonous at times and it am a make you zone out from his greatest trait, his words. That’s why I can’t give it a five. I know his production is minimal because he wants you to hear what he’s saying but it could’ve used just a tad bit more spice on it. All in all, I still enjoyed this effort!

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jan 18 2025

Willie had a joint, a guitar and a dream. I’m glad he achieved them because our ears are better off for them. I usually hate cover albums but this one grabbed me from the jump and simply refused to let me go.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jan 19 2025

I can’t even begin to explain how beautiful this album sounds to my ears. It’s almost like every chord, every key and every horn is perfectly arranged in the right place. Then his voice comes over and completely sweeps you off your feet and suspends you in the air as you float through this project. Phenomenal work by Mr. Kiwanuka!

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Jan 24 2025

This is objectively a terrible sounding album. I had hope for one song but then it quickly turned into a mess. Idk who pissed Kate off and drove her to make this horrendous album but they should be put in prison or stoned to death for their crimes against humanity.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jan 25 2025

One of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, arguably the greatest! Big was so good at telling you a story while rapping in an elite fashion. Timeless records, effortless flow and the ability to weave in a story throughout this project, flawless man. 10 stars!!!!

Make Yourself by Incubus
Jan 26 2025

This sounds like the opening to an early 2000’s action movie. You know the exact scene I’m talking about too. With that being said, this album is a banger, the hits HIT and it’s just some feel good crooning on silly beats.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Feb 02 2025

This is a vibey ass soundtrack! I love how they used to curate albums to accompany movies & shows back I the day. Now they just pick the most popping song and just throw it in the trailer. I think this is a good way to set the tone for a series and the music is just incredible. Issac Hayes is criminally underrated!

This album was solid overall. Her voice annoyed me at parts but the songs I like, she’s incredible on them.

Queen II by Queen
Feb 27 2025

Queen is one of those bands that I have yet to hear a bad song from them. Their songs each feel like they’re been carefully crafted and feel very intricate. Every album feels like they’re putting on an audio show for us. Queen II is no different just a flawless listen from front to back.

Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues

Heroes by David Bowie
Mar 01 2025

Yea David Bowie is one of them ones, my apologies sir for not listening to your discography sooner. This was a masterpiece to listen to, a complete body of work, flawless from start to finish. Mar 12 2025

I’m leaving this album feeling very confused. Do I like this album?? Did Nick Cave mind fuck me into liking this album?? I’m not sure so I’ll just sit here on the fence.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Mar 13 2025

Now this is what I’m talking about! Late 60s/70s rock was just elite. They weren’t scared to go for it and the guitar riffs are magical. It was probably the acid, but let’s just say they were talented. This album sounds incredible, I was walking to work feeling unstoppable. Undeniably great music, they made a new fan out of me!

Mar 14 2025

Common is elite at rapping. This album showed his versatility for me and I wasn’t familiar with his story telling abilities. It’s always good hearing slum village and Mos Def rapping, it’s soothing to the ear. Real Hip-Hop til infinity!!

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Mar 18 2025

I still don’t know what to make of Nick Cave and this is my second album of his that I’ve listened to. The middle of this album was so good to me that I have to rate this higher than I want to because the other songs weren’t doing it for me. I know it’s not terrible music but something about it isn’t fully hitting, maybe a whole album consisting of the middle song types would do it.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Mar 19 2025

I think what Ian Anderson said in the interview on the special edition perfectly describes how I felt listening to the album. I thought it was a fine album with some great songs.

Mar 20 2025

One of the greatest voices of all time putting on a clinic for 41 minutes. Superb listen, the ability to evoke emotion out of your audience with the mere sound of your voice is a special talent. I R E S P E C T the quality of this album, just phenomenal!

Solid Air by John Martyn
Mar 21 2025

I’ve never heard of John Martyn before but I thoroughly enjoyed this project. It made me feel at peace, definitely was staring out the window of a train to this one.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Mar 22 2025

I hate when artists get the title of their album wrong. This should definitely be called The Sad Ass Songs of Leonard Cohen. In all seriousness, the folk genre is one that I never thought I would enjoy as much as I do now. Yes, it’s a sad ass album but hidden there is a beautiful gem, the songwriting shining through and touch us all. Beautiful album and I’m always a fan of a good melodic whistle to end an album.

Mar 23 2025

George came through with a solid project with this one. I don’t think I’ve heard an entire project of his before and it was solid. You could hear him trying to usher in a different sound for the new decade and for the most part, I think he did a good job.

Low-Life by New Order
Mar 24 2025

This album would’ve been ten times better if they AI’d his vocals because the beats are out of this world.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 25 2025

One of the greatest feel good albums of all time, if not one of the greatest albums of all time period. The positive just oozes from the headphones man I love this album. You can throw it on at any time of day and it’ll make you smile. Not to mention, the music itself is incredible. Classic album!

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Mar 26 2025

Album #400!!!! I see why they named themselves Electric Light Orchestra because this album sounds like a score. Carefully crafted and everything was placed meticulously in the perfect place. This is what I imagine being in a good mood while on a walk during a sunny day sounds like. Which perhaps is the reason why they named this project Out of the Blue. Classic album with classic records, I love when this project gives me back to back classics!

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Mar 27 2025

This album shocked the absolute hell out of me with how good it is. Holy shit, Heaven Can Wait is such a beautiful song man, I’ve never listened to a meatloaf song before besides the one song everyone knows (That I didn’t know was meatloaf until I got this album this morning). Just got to Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad and holy shit…. I blame my parents man yall are supposed to pass this shit down! This album is theatrical, fun and something that I would spin back again and again. That’s three 5 star albums in a row for me which means I’m due for some duds lol

The Only Ones by The Only Ones

I liked the album for the most part but his voice was taking me out of it

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Mar 30 2025

This is a cloudy day album if I’ve ever heard one

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Mar 31 2025

The Darkness brought the light with this project. Am overwhelmingly smash of a record man. They absolutely killed it, lost me at a couple of moments on this record but they had me by the balls for the most of it. Just goes to show how much better your rock music can be when the voice of your lead singer doesn’t make you want to claw your eyes out. (Looking at you shrilly voice guy from The Only Ones) & I just cleaned the hell out of my house to this damn record, bravo!

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 01 2025

The boss was bossin’…. BIG JERSEY!!!

Pieces Of The Sky by Emmylou Harris
Apr 02 2025

Emmylou you grabbed my attention and you held it for 42 minutes and for that, I commend you! Some stylistic things are keeping me from a high rating but all in all, this album was solid.

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Apr 03 2025

This album feels like he was experimenting with a current sound. It feels inauthentic to who he is as an artist. These beats and the background vocals are clearly there to supplement his lack of comfort with doing this type of music. His lyrics are strong which is kinda saving it from being a 1 for me but there seems to be a lot going on here with this album and a bulk of isn’t good.

Apr 04 2025

I miss break beats in hip hop so much man. This album was incredible, it had a message, they were saying something!! The beats were the highlight for me though, it made the music fun but didn’t over power the message they were trying to convey.

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Apr 05 2025

I like the content of this album it seems like it was her coming of age album. Very introspective, the control she has over her voice was able to amplify that for me. Not to mention her voice is just phenomenal so that also makes me rate this album high. For an early 2000’s pop album it has more depth than I anticipated. I’m a fan and pop music usually isn’t my bag but this album surprised me! Only criticism is the length, I felt she could’ve shortened this album and kept the same impact. 4.2/5

Apr 06 2025

I went into this with an open mind and they managed to close that bitch back up so damn fast. I could’ve died 9 times without ever listening to this. At least Ice Cube’s verse was cool!

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Apr 08 2025

Damn Stephen!!!! I would’ve never guessed that he would have this much soul based on that album cover. I thought I was in for something else but this brother showed me something! He made me feel something which is what I think music is all about. I’m happy that this project is getting me hip to artists I have slept on. I just did a deep dive because I felt ignorant and I’m realizing how influential this gentleman is to rock music. Didn’t realize this was a debut solo album. Now I can hear the parts of the album where he’s figuring his stuff out and why I didn’t really connect with the latter half of the album. It felt like a shift from the beginning and it was kind of jarring. Album was still enjoyable nonetheless. 3.8/5

Apr 09 2025

I listened to the whole hour and 48 of this album. I recognize that it’s good music as far as sonics go. Like they are absolutely shredding, I can hear the command they have over their audience and I know it was one heck of a show just by hearing the outtakes. My knock is that it all sounds like one long ass song and that’s where I get lost. But I fully understand that if you’re enamored with this sound then this album is god like to you, which is why I can’t rate it lower than a 3. Unspectacular to me but I can hear how it could be spectacular to someone else.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield

Seems like this would be a pretentious person’s favorite album. Wasn’t terrible, wasn’t spectacular, solid background music.

The Slider by T. Rex
Apr 11 2025

When I tell you that I am shocked by this album!!! Holy shit I was expecting something totally different, I braced myself for a metal album and was completely shocked in the best way possible. This album is so good and it will have staying power for me. Definitely need to spin this one back, incredible!

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac

I mean what is there left to be said about arguably one of the greatest albums ever with arguably one of the greatest songs ever on it? This album is magnificent, even the B-Sides are legendary. 10/5 stars

Murder Ballads by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Apr 14 2025

If I never have to hear another Nick Cave album again then I’d die a happy man. Apt name for the album because that’s what listening to this is driving me to do.

Apr 15 2025

Tupac is such a phenomenal MC because of the emotion he can evoke from his listeners through his lyrics and his delivery. You can hear the pain through his voice and that he means what he says. This album was amazing to me because it didn’t feel like I was listening for an hour because I was entrenched in the journey he was taking me on. Classic album from a classic artist that left this earth too soon!

Boston by Boston
Apr 16 2025

I wonder if, when the people of 1976 put this record on, they knew they were listening to a classic album that would stand the test of time. This album is as smooth as butter and gets better with time and every listen.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain

The album was cool, I didn’t necessarily enjoy the distortion for most of it, but it was still enjoyable.

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Apr 18 2025

This brother was singing about slavery and I’m over jigging my heart away, I think I’ve lost the plot… Phenomenal album, I will definitely give this one another spin!

Apr 19 2025

One of the greatest albums of all time. This was Kanye at his peak, it’s like he put all his eras together and created a super Kanye then gave us this masterpiece of an album. The composition, the production, rappers had some of their greatest verses on this album (I.e. Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross). Put aside his new deranged bigoted state, Kanye has always been one of the geniuses when it comes to this music shit. Flawless album that aged like the finest of wines!

Screamadelica by Primal Scream
Apr 24 2025

Wavy, floaty and a great soundtrack for a day in the life.

BEYONCÉ by Beyoncé
Apr 25 2025

I’m mixed on this album because there are songs on here that I love. My favorite thing about Beyonce is her voice, it’s an instrument to me. I think some of the more pop leaning records over power her voice and it takes me out of the record. But the records where the production is simple and her voice is carrying us through the records are simply beautiful. But this is definitely not her best album by a longshot. So ultimately, I give it a 3.7/5 but I’m bumping it up to a 4 because it’s fucking Beyonce, cmon!!!

May 04 2025

Started off good and I was digging it. Then it just got progressively weirder as the album went on. It was like a damn nosedive, I don’t whether to be impressed or concerned by their “creative” process.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
May 05 2025

The talent it takes to sing acapella for a full album cannot be ignored even if the music isn’t necessarily my cup of tea.

Only By The Night by Kings of Leon
May 06 2025

The last song on this project is fucking incredible, even better than the two major songs that are well known from this album. I’m only giving it a 4 because at certain points I got lost in the album and it felt like one long song. However, the long song was still enjoyable to listen to.

In Utero by Nirvana
May 15 2025

This album is so good. I’m not really the biggest rock guy but they are undeniable. Their chemistry bleeds through the music, it just sounds seamless. I’m usually indifferent to Rock vocalists singing capabilities but Kurt’s voice just fits perfectly. I loved this project!

May 16 2025

After listening to this album, I too would like to look through Gary Gillmore’s eyes. I’ve seen criticism that this sounds like every 70s British punk album and I agree… but all of them shits are hard so I dig it!

Rapture by Anita Baker
May 19 2025

The legendary Anita Baker man whew! One of the phenomenal vocalist of all time and she put on a clinic in this album. Definitely cleaning the house to this one today! How the hell did someone on here call this unremarkable?? How do you listen to Mystery and come to that conclusion? I’m sensing a lack of rhythm and taste.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones

Nowhere by Ride
May 31 2025

This was a solid album, this is the type of music that I love so I’m biased here. It wasn’t anything super remarkable but I don’t think that takes away from the quality of it for me. I just wish it was like 20 minutes shorter because it started to drag a bit towards the end.

Jun 03 2025

A two hour long album!?!? I’m gonna update this review in real time… Wait a minute now this shit kinda bangs… ok about half way through and this has been a roller coaster Of emotions! “Love is suicide”?? Who hurt this brother? Also, 1979 is a banger, makes the whole hour of listening worth it… They went from 1979 to a screamo record then Through the Eyes of a Ruby. I’m not mad just confused but either way I’m waving my shirt above my head and headbanging out the car window… I forgot to keep the updates going but I like the way it ended. This was a looonnnnggg two hour journey but it’s rare for me to be captured for this long, especially by a genre that’s not my go-to. Hell of a record!

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Jun 04 2025

I don’t have much to say about it which might not bode well for this rating. However, the music was good enough but idk if it’s memorable enough to be higher than a 3.

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Jun 05 2025

Ok listen it’s not terrible music in the slightest. It’s just not my vibe and that’s ok. I just don’t hear the reason why it’s on this list and I’m truly baffled by the criteria to make it. It’s fine music but did I HAVE to hear it before I die? Absolutely not.

Jun 06 2025

Now this is music brother!! Holy shit, he had me from the moment I pressed play just a timeless sound. I can’t believe that I’ve never heard any of these songs before today but I’m glad that I know them now! I wish I can transport back in time and listen to this for the first time again, 20 stars!! This album was so good from start to finish. I usually hate skits or interludes on projects but it helped her carry her story forward so I didn’t mind them this time. Something was in that water in Gary Indiana boy!

Jun 09 2025

I know the legend of Elton John and I know the hits. This is my first time listening to an album of his and I understand the hype. This was hands down just incredible music and a damn near cinematic experience. I’m impressed and I want to hear more projects from him!

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

This reminds me of my 3rd grade teacher, that geezer loved The Beach Boys. I understand, I think the beauty of music is its ability to evoke emotion out you with an arrangement of cords and lyrics. The Beach Boys do that masterfully on this project and it wasn’t always the same emotion. I enjoyed this listen!

Face to Face by The Kinks
Jun 18 2025

This album was fun to listen to and is that type of timeless music that makes you feel good. I can only imagine how it made people feel when it first came out in the 60’s! I will definitely be listening to this one again on a sunnier day with some leaves in a pipe.

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon
Jun 24 2025

I thought this was gonna be a metal album so you can imagine my surprise! The rhymes were cool but the production is what really made the project for me. It’s something about 90s boom bap beats that just make hip-hop sound good.

So by Peter Gabriel
Jul 03 2025

Although it sounded like a desperate attempt to make a 80s pop album, it was a damn good attempt. Nothing jumped out to me in either direction so I’d say it was a solid listen but lacked that spectacular feeling that the albums on this list SHOULD have.

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers
Jul 10 2025

Manic Street Preachers is such a hard name that I don’t even care how the music sounds. Luckily, it doesn’t sound too bad. It’s not gonna stick to my mind and it wasn’t life changing but I enjoyed the listen enough to give it a 3.3.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Jul 11 2025

I know the sad white women in the late 80’s were blasting this through the speakers with a pint of Ice Cream in the bath tub. This is littered with Honky Tonk Karaoke bangers, I’m not mad at it. Not my cup of tea but I did tap my foot which is at least a 3.

Q-Tip has one of my favorite flows ever. I don’t listen to him as much as I should and every time I listen to one of his songs, I always find myself asking why don’t I listen to him more often. He’s not just a rapper, he’s a curator like these are great songs not just good rapping. I’m a fan of this project for sure, now let’s just hope I listen to this & him more often now.

Jul 29 2025

This was a religious experience and I hate using that phrase because I can’t stand religion, but that’s the only way I can describe it. I’m down on my knees weeping because I’ll never be able to experience this album for the first time ever again…

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Jul 30 2025

This shit sucks. Especially coming off of Dark Side of the Moon. I know comparison is the their of joy but so is this album…

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jul 31 2025

First and foremost FUCK Kanye West!! Now excluding his punk ass, this album is one of the best in hip hop history. It set off a whole new generation of rap and it stands on its own as far as uniqueness goes. The man behind it may have strayed far away from this version of himself but at least he left us with this classic. Kanye gets a 1 but College Dropout can never be below a 5, we’d be lying to ourselves.

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Aug 02 2025

Hip hop to its core, I’ve always heard the Gang Starr lore but I’ve never sat down and listened to a full album by them. Two hip hop legends in a duo and you can just hear it. The beats are incredible, the rhymes aren’t too heavy but with music that sounds this good they don’t have to be. I’ll always be a fan of this flow too, just don’t have too many bad things to say about it.

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Aug 13 2025

This album sounds ritualistic, not in a Native American tribal dance kind of way, but in a Jonestown we’re about to commit mass suicide kind of way.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Aug 14 2025

An easily digestible album! I love live albums because you get a sense of how the music touched the people there plus Johnny Cash was a showman. And of course the music is undeniably!

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Aug 16 2025

I’m not gonna sit here and lie and say that it was all trash. There were some dope records on those project and some of the production was ahead of its time. So I give them props for experimenting with a unique sound (it might not have been unique in the UK but I’m American so idk). However, parts of it were unbearable to listen to but I’m still rating it a 3 due to the innovation of it.

Aug 23 2025

I love when an album on this thing surprises me! This was a banger, I didn’t have the immediate urge to skip any songs and it was concise which I love. Street Joy is by far the best song on the project and will be put in a playlist in the near future.

Aug 24 2025

Yo that first song CAME ON! I immediately downloaded it on Spotify! Yea upon further listen, this album just sounds honest, raw, minimal but it suits what I think Lennon was going for. After digging deeper myself and discovering that he was in therapy and the Beatles just released their last album earlier that year, the tone of the album makes so much more sense. Incredible deep listening experience imo.

Quiet Life by Japan

Microshift by Hookworms
Sep 01 2025

This is kind of torturous at the beginning of each song but then it starts to come into its own as a good song. If they cut that horrendous build to the song especially on songs like Opener. Turned out to be a great sounding song but the first part of it turns you off and makes you want to skip it. This album would be a 5 if it didn’t have all that.

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Sep 07 2025

I just don’t understand the appeal with this genre! Im really trying but this shit just sounds like unnecessary loud noise to me. I’m still holding out hope for a metal album that moves me but it damn sure ain’t this one. Upon further listening, the instruments kick ass but this mfer sound like he got the mic stuck in his god damn throat…

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods

A beautiful combination of rock & Jazz with a touch of soul. This album sounded amazing, pencil me in as a Youngbloods fan.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Sep 09 2025

My first time listening to an Amy Winehouse album and it was a treat! It’s like someone picked her up from the 60s and dropped her off in the early 2000’s. Such a classic sound but she made it keen for the times. Really an enjoyable listen, no complaints!

Sep 10 2025

Smooth but forgettable.

Sep 11 2025

LL Cool J and the LL stands for Living Legend ya heard!?!? Break beats and 90s hip hop goes together like peanut butter and jelly. The way LL flowed on these beats were absolutely ridiculous, brother was in the studio and just left earth. 5 stars for Hip Hop and 5 stars for the legend LL Cool J!

Timeless by Goldie
Sep 13 2025

AN HOUR AND 53 MINUTES?!?????!??????? Starting an album with a very unnecessary 20 minute track should be met with a sentence to the guillotine. To sum it up, this is basically just “electronic” babble.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Sep 14 2025

A solid oldie but nothing too spectacular to me.

Sep 15 2025

Pleasantly surprised by this album. I loved it from start to finish and I’m definitely gonna spin (stream) it again in the future. Nothing like a good indie rock album to start the day!

American Idiot by Green Day
Sep 16 2025

This album still holds up 21 years later man. It’s very nostalgic reminds me of swiping my sisters iPod when I was a kid and discovering music for the first time. Always good to listen to these records again and be transported back in time, that’s just the beauty of music.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Sep 17 2025

You gotta smoke a cigarette in a back alley while listening to this one. Or literally take a walk on the wild side.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Sep 18 2025

I love this type of Hip Hop man, no jarring lyrics or portraying negative shit, just dope positive over whimsical beats. Now that type of hip hop definitely has its place in the genre and I love it too, but this music just makes you feel good!

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Sep 19 2025

This actually wasn’t that bad man, I loved the blending of different genres. It didn’t ruin how cohesive the project was which is impressive

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Sep 20 2025

Sleepy sad girl music but in a way, aren’t we all sleep sad girls??

Future Days by Can
Sep 22 2025

The songs were so long that I dozed off and started daydreaming. I can’t tell you any song but I remember it not being terrible

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Sep 23 2025

Back to basics was an apt title because this album was the most basic listen this week. It wasn’t bad music it just didn’t move the needle, mid if you will.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Sep 24 2025

This album is proof that you can indeed buy a thrill! This is fucking music, I understand now why my parents turn their noses up at our music these days. This shit is timeless and beautiful to the ear drums, 10 stars!!!

Bad Company by Bad Company

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Sep 26 2025

Way too sober to enjoy the intricacies of this album but Season of the witch is a banger so I’ll give him a 3.7

The Colour Of Spring by Talk Talk
Sep 27 2025

I liked this album enough to rate it a 3 but I couldn’t tell you a track that stood out to me.

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Sep 28 2025

Listen I'm not a big rock guy but even I can hear when it’s good music. This shit is complete and utter ASS

Violator by Depeche Mode
Sep 29 2025

Some classic records on here that really carry it through for me. Nothing else stood out to me and after awhile it started to fade into the background and turned into white noise. So in other words, twas a bit mid.

Sep 30 2025

Raekwon the mf Chef!!! Timeless hip hop music, incarcerated Scarfaces is an all time classic record and the rest of the record met it at the top. Rae and Ghost are like PB&J, Kyrie & Bron, A stripper & glitter, they just work together! Now my only criticism is that they could’ve cut this album shorter by a few songs but at least the raps were elite. Wu-Tang forever!!!

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
Oct 01 2025

Solid album sounds like the best if 90s rock

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Oct 02 2025

I feel like every 60s band just made an album covering songs by black artists that sang it better. We hope it was paying homage but other than that the album is cool, songs are good and it’s a fine album. They just lose points on originality for me.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Oct 03 2025

The album title an cover had me thinking that I was going to hate this shit but to my surprise, this album was a fun listen!

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Oct 05 2025

This was weird but in the best way possible. This is the kind of niche shit that makes this thing here so cool.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Oct 06 2025

I mean it’s a live album by B.B. fucking King. Some shits just a lay up

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Oct 07 2025

Stevie Wonder is one of those artists that’s undeniable. He couldn’t make a bad project, let alone bad music, even if he tried. That brother could fart into a mic melodically and it’ll sound like the best thing your ears have ever heard. So needless to say I enjoyed this project and it’s good to hear some of his biggest songs within the confines of an album to see where he was trying to take us. I’ll never be disappointed by 70s funk and soul, it was just a perfect marriage with Stevie. Again, brilliant album!

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Oct 08 2025

Yea this was just a flawless album from top to bottom. I mean it just made you feel good and was the perfect start to a day. I think that’s the crux of Reggae music, the ultimate vibes and Peter Tosh more than delivered on that expectation.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Oct 09 2025

I actually quite enjoyed this album it was a good listen. I’ll probably never go back to it again but it’ll get a high rating out of me!

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Oct 10 2025

This was a little bop man, I didn’t hate it. My first Madonna album and I’m not sure what kind of music she makes yet but this was cool.

Oct 11 2025

Boy the beat was kicking his ass. He was chasing that damn best for the entire project smh. The flow is choppy, the background vocals are doing their best to carry, the content is regular but is terrible rapping is taking me out if it. Yea this is just not good.

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Oct 12 2025

Idk how you can listen to this and not bop your head & dance. I’m convinced all the 1s are rhythmless and lacking joy. But hey music is subjective even if your opinion is complete dog shit!

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Oct 13 2025

I’m still not sure what I was listening too tbh. Calming music for my nap on an early as flight tho so it gains a star for me.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Oct 15 2025

Stevie might might not have a bad album holy hell the man is a damn musical savant

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Oct 16 2025

I can hear the experimental element throughout the album which I enjoyed. I can see that this album was definitely out of place in its era which makes it that much more awesome to me. Plus I like the originality and the message within it so I’m impressed with them. I do think the sound is at times jarring which is stopping me from rating it super high.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Oct 17 2025

Echo & The Bunnymen will always be an amazing name for a band. Luckily, the music lives up to the cool name because I enjoyed quite a bit of the album m.

Is This It by The Strokes

The Strokes just stroked the fuck out of my ears for 35 minutes JEEEEEZZZZ!

Done By The Forces Of Nature by Jungle Brothers
Oct 20 2025

Hip hop to its core. I loved the flow, their message throughout and the beats were the cherry on the top!

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Oct 21 2025

I feel like folk rock is either hit or miss. I’ve heard some great folk albums on this list and I’ve heard some fucking terrible ones. This one falls somewhere in the middle for me. I’m not a fan of it in its entirety but I enjoy her voice enough to give it more than 1 star.

Third by Portishead
Oct 23 2025

This was weird but not in a jarring or disturbing way but in a unique way. Will never listen to this again but I’m happy I got to experience it once.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Oct 24 2025

I mean it’s good music but it was a bit too dull for my tastes.

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Oct 25 2025

I liked the mood of the album very much and that’s all that really stood out to me from it tbh. I do think it’s good music but it didn’t grab ahold of me like I like my music to do.

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
Oct 26 2025

Listen, is it good music? Yes, for the most part. But do I want to listen to an hour of that shit? Absolutely fucking not. I was surprised however by how much it didn’t repel me instantly like I thought it would which says a lot.

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Oct 27 2025

Sly & the Family Stone were so far ahead of their time. Not only with being an integrated band but just with the sounds they came up with. I loved every instrument, chord and note on this album. Only real music is gonna last, all that other bullshit is here today and gone tomorrow!

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Oct 28 2025

She got some all-time bops in this album, idk how you rate this low imo. It’s not even bubble gum bs either, it’s the type of music that is everlasting. Never heard a full project from her and it’s cohesive as all hell. You can never go wrong with some 80s synth too and she floated on these tracks… Cyndi you kinda went crazy!

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices

There wasn’t really any cohesion that I heard. Music is good but a pedestrian album all together.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes

Cross by Justice
Nov 02 2025

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Nov 03 2025

Cmon the Boys are back in town live??? Instant 4

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Nov 04 2025

I love this kinda sleepy music, I can’t lie and she did it well. Her voice was therapeutic in a way and it was nice to see a recent album in here.

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
Nov 05 2025

I genuinely enjoyed this record. Mid 80’s rock is my shit really so I’m biased but this was definitely a good one. This is raw genuine emotion baby, if you’ve never felt anything then you won’t get it!

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Nov 06 2025

They had me in the first half fr, then they got to screaming at the end of the album so they lost me.

Tapestry by Carole King
Nov 07 2025

Carol put her whole coochie in this album, put her uterus in that mfer too.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Nov 08 2025

I can’t believe that four of some of the greatest musicians just joined to together for the sanctity of good vibes and good music. This album was flawless to me, the harmonies made my morning.

Nov 09 2025

Some theatrical music for your ass. You tend to get lost in the sauce a bit during an hour and a half of listening to an album but there was enough stand outs in this one for me to deem it a decent listen. I loved the last few songs and the way they tied the bow on the whole thing. Solid listen

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Nov 10 2025

At first I was not interested in this project at all but it grabbed me towards the end. The sounds were joy inducing and made you feel like dancing a bit.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Nov 11 2025

I enjoyed the music on the album so I don’t have any major complaints. It didn’t grab me like I was expecting a Beatles album to do so I can’t give it a five. It was just a tad bit underwhelming!

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Nov 12 2025

Neil Young might be that guy fr. This is the reason why I love this because I would’ve never listened to him on my own accord and now I’m a fan. Have yet to hear a bad album from the man and that’s kinda crazy seeing how he put out a lot of em.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Nov 13 2025

I really don’t have anything productive to say about this album. The only thought going through my head is that someone in the world enjoys listening to this. I would love to have a conversation with them, not to belittle or bash them, but to understand what it is about it that grabs them. So salute to the people who like this, unfortunately, I was vehemently not on one of them.

Django Django by Django Django
Nov 14 2025

I was excited to hear a nearly recent album! I liked it for the most part, it had elements of genres that I liked. It just didn’t jump out at me and it wasn’t memorable enough for me to rate it high

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Nov 15 2025

The first half of this is the type of music that will have you walking down the street whistling like Steamboat Willie! The second half is the type of music you listen to at a cafe watching the rain roll down the window. I love the duality of it and that’s why I’m rating it highly.

Nov 16 2025

I’ve heard a chunk of 60s rock albums while doing this project and this was at the top for me. No it isn’t life changing music but it sounds good, you don’t want to turn it off and it’s the type of album you can let rock out in the background and nobody will be mad that it’s playing. Solid 3.6/5

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Nov 17 2025

You can see how big a band made some one, you can see the shirts everywhere and even own one without knowing just how good that band is. I believe this is the third Black Sabbath project on this project and everytime I’m blown away by how good the music is. It helps you understand what’s behind the popularity, I enjoyed this listen!

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Nov 18 2025

I enjoyed listening the original and alternate versions of the songs on this album. No thrills, no tricks, nothing extra just good solid music.

Elastica by Elastica
Nov 19 2025

Bleh blah bluh

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Nov 21 2025

Her sultry voice is iconic, I loved every part of this record. It’s always a shame when you think about what happened to her because I feel like she was just scratching the surface as an artist. RIP!

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Nov 23 2025

Solid project nothing major to write home about tho

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Nov 25 2025

Someone please go fetch me my escargot s'il te plaît

Being There by Wilco
Nov 26 2025

When I initially saw the length of this album I was like here we go again, another long ass bad album. But Wilco shocked tf out of me, not once did it feel like the project was dragging on and we got two totally different feels during each disc. Thoroughly impressed by this!

Blur by Blur
Nov 27 2025

First gets album: Who tf is blur? Song 2 plays: Oh they’re fucking legends. Solid listen from front to back, no skips from me which isn’t saying much because I usually don’t skip. But I didn’t have the urge to skip any record.

Purple Rain by Prince
Nov 28 2025

Fam he ended his classic album with one of the greatest songs of all time. There will never be another Prince, iconic doesn’t even begin to describe it. As far as the album goes it was an incredible journey. The vocals, the arrangement of the instruments, the rock elements fused with R&B & pop, man I could write a book about how good this album is. 10/5 stars

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Nov 29 2025

It’s so dope to hear an iconic sound at its infancy. This brother was responsible for pioneering one of my favorite sounds of all time and he did it with flair and emotion. It did kinda get repetitive towards the middle of the album but when something is so new I guess there is only so many ways to differentiate it. All in all, I enjoyed the listen and I can only knock off one star for my “critique”

Scream, Dracula, Scream by Rocket From The Crypt
Nov 30 2025

Pretty mid album honestly, nothing of note jumped out to me while listening to this

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Dec 01 2025

Very interesting sounds there PJ

Dec 02 2025

It’s always cool to the start of something legendary. I can hear them trying to figure out their identity. It’s crazy they went from this to what they did in the 70s. It started off cool for me then once they started getting deep into their experimental noises they lost me. Good effort just inconsistent.

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Dec 03 2025

The head bump that over came me when the beat dropped on Flood II is worth 4 stars alone

Actually by Pet Shop Boys
Dec 04 2025

I just got two 80’s ass albums back to back. I thought all of them sounded the same but these were actually very different. This one feels lighter and popier and the synths are lighter too. I was skeptical after the first song but they really landed the damn plane on this album. It only got better as it went along, though the production was pretty consistent. Another 80’s album added to the rotation! Update: I did my research, the other album is considered Darkwave and this one is Synth Pop. I can hear the difference and both appeal to my ear drums. Shoutout to this project for helping me learn the different categories of the 80s Sound.

Dec 05 2025

This is like the third solid album in a row which has been rare so I’m pumped about that! This alb started off really special for me. Luke I was enamored but then it kinda tapered down a bit but not enough to rate it less than a 4

More Specials by The Specials
Dec 06 2025

Don’t get me wrong there were some good songs in here but in it’s entirety it was genuinely awful

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Dec 07 2025

My man Nicholas Drizzy said he was here for a good time not a long time! All he had was his voice and a guitar and that was clearly all the instruments he needed, bravo. I enjoy the simplicity of it and it was genuinely good music.

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Dec 09 2025

This genre is either hot or miss for me so I can never give it more than a 3 unless it really stood out to me

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Dec 10 2025

Super duper smooth album and a great relaxing collection of songs for my morning!

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 11 2025

Now this is some fucking rock & roll! It’s like they couldn’t miss on this album, this sounds timeless like it’ll still ring off in 2069 because you can’t beat this sound. Nothing but good things to say about this album

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Dec 12 2025

Does this sound horrible with 2025 ears? Maybe. But I love this shit because there was no blueprint for this type of music back then. They were just vibing and creating based off of limited inspirations at the time and they came out with classic records so I can’t be mad that every track doesn’t sound as good 40 years later.

Mask by Bauhaus
Dec 13 2025

Goth Rock is one of those things you either Stan or hate to your core. This one falls on the latter side of that for me.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Dec 14 2025

This was a refreshing album to me, the Prince lore becomes clearer and clearer to me with every album I listen too. Both discs felt like separate projects that had their unique sounds to them. Prince put that drum machine to WORK too. And needing the album with Adore… bruh… what an album!

Dec 15 2025

Finally an album from the 2000’s!! I’m more of a fair weather enjoyer of The Hives so I’ve never listened to an entire album. It was definitely cool, probably shouldn’t have listened to it in the morning but it did take too much away from it. I definitely need to spin it again at a different time

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Dec 16 2025

Aye man California Dreamin’ is an all timer so this album spawned at a 3 🤷🏾‍♂️ Honestly it was a good listen overall, the 60s pop sound is either a hit or miss for me. They shined on enough of a chunk of the album that qualifies for a 3

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Dec 18 2025

Weird art kid ass music

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Dec 19 2025

Cmon Mama’s Gun… Erykah Badu… enough said! I’ve heard the big records off this album but this is my first time sitting with the entire project and man it’s a beautiful piece of art. From the angelic harmonies to the tribal drums on Kiss Me On My Neck I was locked in! Beautiful voice, impeccable production, I just can’t say enough about how good this is. If you didn’t like it, idk what to tell you, fix ya damn ears!!

Eagles by Eagles
Dec 20 2025

The upbeat tracks standout the most but once they slow that tempo down it’s a snooze fest.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Dec 21 2025

I’m trying to think of what to say about it…

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Dec 22 2025

I’m trying to think of what to say about it…

GI by Germs
Dec 23 2025

If you screamed obnoxiously over upbeat guitar riffs in the 70s and 80s then odds are that your project made this list! Vastly below pedestrian project with a sound I’ve heard done wayyy better. At least it was only 38 minutes…

Arc Of A Diver by Steve Winwood
Dec 24 2025

Imagine my disappointment when I quickly figured out that this isn’t the album with Higher Love on it… Steve went to the club, got turned inside out and came up with this album during the hangover. & This album would’ve been ten times better if he got a better drum machine!! Still not a fully terrible output so I’ll give it a 3.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Dec 25 2025

A Very bland, very run of the mill yet very odd, very silly beat choices, very diverse, very two star worthy album in my humble opinion.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Dec 26 2025

Fela Kuti with another master class on how a good rhythm and arrangement of instruments can catapult your music to another level!

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Dec 27 2025

This album was all over the place man, I’m still not sure what genre this is. It started off as video game loading music then somehow morphed into the music you’d hear in the ending montage of an early 2000’s teen drama. Very odd listen but I’m assuming since the name of the album has sessions in it that they just put out random recordings??? I’m confused.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Dec 28 2025

I liked this more than I expected!

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Dec 29 2025

I never had slow jams make my soul feel so good. A true angel on the mic just sending us down sweet melodies from above. RIP Bob Marley, thank you for leaving a mark and leaving us with something to live to!

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Dec 30 2025

I’m sorry you’re always gonna lose me when you start the album off with a 22 minute track like wtf?!?????

Music by Madonna
Dec 31 2025

What in the hell is this sound?? The 2000’s pop sound was all over the place, this sounded like spacey electronic dance music but in the worst way possible. Madonna owes me 49 minutes of my life back. The sad part is that enough people enjoyed this shit for it to make this damn list lmao. Wait Nobody’s Perfect came on and Madonna morphed into T Pain… you can’t make this shit up!

Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys
Jan 01 2026

This is my third Pet Shop Boys album this month so I’m guessing they were something in the music landscape. Being boring is one helluva way to start a project, I hope it sets the tone for the rest of it. Update: Oh boy did it set the tone!!!

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Jan 02 2026

Beautiful album man it was such a soothing listen especially on an early morning flight. 5 stars no notes.

I always wonder if people actually like these albums or is it just the aura of the person that made it. As soon as I pressed play on this album I immediately felt like the dumbest mfer in the world. This is phenomenal music from top to bottom, I’d cut off a finger before I’d ever hit skip on this. My bad Mr. Bowie, my bad.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jan 04 2026

I’m not sure what to make of this but I do know that I’ll never hit play on that shit again.

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Jan 05 2026

Listen it was a good solid music. It just wasn’t remarkable in any way. I wasn’t moved by any song on here and the one song I did like, he wasn’t even on it.

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Jan 06 2026

You can tell that Sir McCartney was still trying to find himself as a solo act. Nothing wrong with that but it confused me as a listener which took me out of the listening experience a bit. But there’s enough good songs for it to be a solid project.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Jan 07 2026

I like the funky psychedelic sound to this but that’s about it.

Technique by New Order
Jan 09 2026

Yeah this shit was tight as fuck!!

Jan 10 2026

Ascension alone is one of the best R&B songs ever made so this album is up there in my opinion. I love the jazzy style it just makes the songs sound that much smoother. Reminds me of being a kid waking up to this on the weekends, the type of music that can transport you through time. An all-timer as far as albums go and if I rated this lower than a five, my mother would publicly disgrace and disown me.

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Jan 11 2026

The fourth album from the legend herself Misdemeanor!! This was a fun experience for me from top to bottom because this is my first time hearing this project from front to back. With two personally classic tracks like Work It and gossip Folks, I liked the theme of her just trying to inject some positivity back into the rap scene after the recent tragedies around that time. I think she did a fantastic job of creating a project that’ll make you feel good and want to dance a little. Unless you’re the person in the second comment, of course.

John Prine by John Prine
Jan 12 2026

Well I now know how John Prine feels about war

Meat Puppets II by Meat Puppets
Jan 13 2026

This album just consisted of a bunch of random songs based off what they were feeling that day. It was all over the place. However, a chunk of the songs didn’t sound too bad. This is a solid two of I’ve ever heard one.

Real Life by Magazine
Jan 14 2026

Album wasn’t terrible just felt run of the mill. I’ve heard this album a thousand times on this list before and it was done way better

Let It Be by The Replacements
Jan 15 2026

The album went fucking hard!! It caught me on a day where I had to wake up at 4 am just to get a workout in because my job is the worst. Just the music I needed to channel that anger into something productive so they get a four from me just for that. Not to mention that unsatisfied is an incredible song.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Jan 16 2026

Nothing of note to write about it but I didn’t hate it.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Jan 17 2026

This started off promising then quickly faded to background noise. Not bad music though just nothing special

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Jan 18 2026

I absolutely loved it, nothing funny or clever to say about it. Just fantastic music imo

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Jan 19 2026

This was all over the place sonically and it sounds like a band finding its footing. Music is good enough for it to be an enjoyable listen though.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Jan 21 2026

Now what in the ever loving SHITE is this????

Doolittle by Pixies
Jan 23 2026

Finally a good album after two back to back DUDS and not the good kind like milk duds or the Dudley Boyz. I’m talking about the type of shit that’ll ruin your day. So imagine me pressing okay on this album and hearing Debasser and taking a big fat sigh of relief. The album has it lulls but its highs are damn near astronomical! Here comes your man is an all timer and Gouge Away is one hell of a way to close it. 4.5/5!

Suicide by Suicide
Jan 24 2026

At least it’s aptly named because I… well you get it.

Locust Abortion Technician by Butthole Surfers
Jan 25 2026

Bootyhole Surfers???? Ok this shit is just trolling me now. This is like the fourth one star album in a span of five days and this might be the cherry on top of the shit sundae. Human Cannonball is a banger but it's not enough!!

Marquee Moon by Television
Jan 26 2026

Jan 29 2026

I love when an album is unexpectedly fire that’s two in a row now

Jan 30 2026

Incredibly boring album but it’s not terrible sounding music whatsoever. It actually has a good bop to it. It just doesn’t capture my attention enough to stand out as anything special.

Vespertine by Björk
Jan 31 2026

Mayneeeee what the hell is this??????

British Steel by Judas Priest
Feb 01 2026

Honestly a solid album with some bangers on it. Not a big metal guy whatsoever but they made it palatable. (You can tell I’m not metal from that last word alone)

Cut by The Slits
Feb 02 2026

I was ok until she started shrieking in my damn ear..

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Feb 04 2026

Solid background music but it didn’t jump out other than that

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Feb 05 2026

I gotta stop listening to these albums in the gym just because they’re so unpredictable. I probably would enjoyed this more if I was on a long road trip after a break up or if I was in love, angry, turned on, or annoyed by a man.

Third/Sister Lovers by Big Star
Feb 06 2026

Honestly, this is my type of shit right here. I k law it might be redundant and annoying to some but to me, it was a solid listen that could get you through a mediocre day. It’s not gonna blow your socks off but it’s good enough to play the background.

New Forms by Roni Size
Feb 07 2026

I interrupted my listening of The Fall Off to get whatever tf this is over with. I’m sorry Cole for wasting an hour and 14 minutes on this…. Some sick beats tho

Arular by M.I.A.
Feb 08 2026

Not too shabby MAGA I A.

Paris 1919 by John Cale
Feb 09 2026

This was a smooth listen man, had it in in the background while I was cleaning and I felt like my parents. Solid for sure!

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Feb 10 2026

I listened to this and can’t even remember enough of it to tell you how I felt about it. So I guess that says everything right there…

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Feb 11 2026

It was calming at times and it was weird at times. Overall, I’m not sure where to place it but I know I didn’t hate the entire experience so that’s something.

Feb 12 2026

This was an interesting journey they took us on. I loved a good chunk of it, I liked how different each song was. I usually like a more cohesive project but that didn’t take me out of it this time. Plus, there’s a timeless classic smash hit on there too which always elevates a project too.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Feb 13 2026

I listened to the entirety of the complete version of this album and man was it long. But Im newly in love with Jazz and Duke Ellington is one of the greats so I had to listen. It was an incredibly calming, impressive and captivating performance by him and the rest of the band. I mean the sounds they were able to make with these horns man… I can’t say enough about it, I’m a huge fan of live albums because it just makes you feel like you’re there with them watching. Great experience, two hours well spent!

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Feb 14 2026

The coldest group of white boys since the Vikings

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Feb 15 2026

Oh look another run of the mill pedestrian Brit pop album…

The White Album by Beatles
Feb 16 2026

This was a phenomenal album to start my morning to. I was skeptical of a 30 song double disc album and that my social media damaged attention span wouldn’t be able to handle it. But on the contrary it was an easily digestible album because a majority of the songs were really good. And the album flowed together really well, I’m starting to see the Beatles hype after pretty up and down opinion on their discography. The white album was one of their best in my opinion.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 17 2026

Ok this was 1000x better than the movie… in all seriousness, this was an incredible project from start to finish. The beauty of this 1001 project is it puts these artists reverence into perspective. I never knew why people loved this man and that was due to ignorance of his work but now I understand. This was well crafted, the arrangement on Bobby Jean was chef’s kiss. Downbound Train is my standout with I’m Goin’ Down being a close second. Great start to the day!

Drunk by Thundercat
Feb 18 2026

Yea this album was so fucking good to listen to. I’m so happy to finally have an album from the 2010s again. I missed this when it originally dropped in 2017 (A phenomenal year for music by the way. Thundercat is one of those artists that recreated a classic sound but modernized it and made it his own. Phenomenal listen and a refreshing relief from the standard 70s rock albums this list is full of.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Feb 19 2026

I love when a highly touted classic album lives up and smashes the hype. Bangers from start to finish!! RIP Kurt Cobain 🙏🏾

The Specials by The Specials
Feb 21 2026

This album was surprisingly groovy with a great message.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Feb 22 2026

While I appreciate the lesson on the sounds of Indian music and appreciate the different elements that it brings, I did not want to start my day off listening to this.

Odelay by Beck
Feb 23 2026

I liked how it sounded well within the sound of that time. I feel like if I heard it when it first dropped and then re-listened now, I’d be transported back to that time. I think that’s a special quality few albums possess.

Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams
Feb 24 2026

Honestly not a bad album, it was just a tad bit gloomy for me.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Feb 25 2026

For a genre I usually don’t connect with this wasn’t that bad at all. That brother was singing his heart off and the production was hard!

Picture Book by Simply Red
Feb 26 2026

Now this was some soul for your ass!! I knew the hit I just never knew the person behind it. This further proves my theory about gingers and I’ll leave it there.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Feb 27 2026

At one point the sounds hurt my ears so bad that I felt like I was being tortured… it was the second song in.

G. Love And Special Sauce by G. Love & Special Sauce
Feb 28 2026

Honestly it wasn’t that bad but it still wasn’t good enough for me to die without hearing it

Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners
Mar 01 2026

His voice sounds like he’s trolling us… But the album wound up being ok. Just nothing special to me honestly.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Mar 02 2026

Yeaaaa this is just phenomenal fucking music right here… not too much really to say about it. Sounded good, felt good to listen to and it was concise enough not to bore you.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Mar 03 2026

Ok I see why they knighted him, this album was an incredible listen. I mean there wasn’t a dull moment for me on here!

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Mar 04 2026

Now is the type of stuff that I was hoping to get out of this project! Muddy Waters, the type of legend my generation hears about but never takes the time to go back and listen to the music. I’m glad I did, the soul jumped out of the tracks and hit you in the face in the best way possible. Of course, as I’ve mentioned before, I love a live performance so hearing that gives you a glimpse on how it would’ve sounded if you were in the room. Then the studio recorded tracks at the end are just the icing on the cake. Phenomenal listen to say the least!

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Mar 05 2026

Not sure where to place this album because it was basically different versions of the same 6 songs…. The songs weren’t good enough to warrant that many different versions.

Something/Anything? by Todd Rundgren
Mar 06 2026

This was a good listen. It wasn’t perfect and at times it lost its cohesiveness but there were a lot of songs I enjoyed on here to make up for it. Also Hello It’s Me is a bonafide classic in every aspect.

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Mar 07 2026

This is probably not Missy’s best project but the music is still incredible to listen to. I also understand the people saying that it went on because it is a super long debut album and it does drag at points. BUT the production, the hooks, the verses from rap legends and the historic debut of a Hip Hop legend in her own right. I love the way she blends R&B with rapping she was ahead of her time with it. Her & Timb, two 757 South East VA legends made a great album in totality. I would still hope to hear her better and more influential projects later.

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Mar 08 2026

I think this is the part of the list where the brother got bored and was just reaching for shit go add… But I’ll be nice and just say that it wasn’t for me.

The Undertones by The Undertones
Mar 09 2026

This was a cool album. I enjoyed listening to it and it wasn’t a long drawn out listen. Not the most spectacular album ever but it definitely was good.

The La's by The La's
Mar 10 2026

Yeaaaaa this shit is pure flames…an All time karaoke song on an album is a great measure of where it stacks up in history imo. Then upon further listen, every other song on the album is good too. Some of them even pulling the emotion out of me. Surprising five star album from me, I thought they were one song wonders but they shit my ass up!

Moby Grape by Moby Grape
Mar 11 2026

I’m not sure why Spotify took songs off the album but from what I’ve heard it was a good bluesy effort. I’m never mad at 60s rock with some blues & folk elements but it was just ok.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four

Gang of Four can I be your friend and become a Gamg if Five?

The Visitors by ABBA

Kimono My House by Sparks
Mar 15 2026

The album was solid, nothing crazy tho

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Mar 16 2026

It’s like they took everything I hate about this genre and put it on wax. It’s like they’re circling around me just laughing and pointing at my misery.

Rio by Duran Duran
Mar 17 2026

That guitar riff on the opening of New Angel boooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! When you have two classic records and one of those songs are used as a reference track for an entire decade in any movie set in the 80s, your album is five stars.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Mar 18 2026

It’s incredible when a band uses every instrument possible and they work together beautifully in unison. Every song on this album is arranged to the gods. The fucking harmonicas!!!! He even used his voice and dialect as an instrument like the way he sung on Bring it home elevated that song for me. Great record, 5 stars!

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Mar 19 2026

I was dreading listening to this but it shocked me a bit in a good way.

Debut by Björk
Mar 20 2026

Her voice is on key and violently off key at the same time…

Infected by The The
Mar 21 2026

It was digestible and shined some at times but ultimately it was very forgettable.

Dry by PJ Harvey
Mar 22 2026

Apt nam for the album because parts of it were definitely dry af but it was a good album overall.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Mar 23 2026

It’s always dope to hear where some of your favorite songs derive from. Other than that this album was tough to get through because it just sounded like one long song at times.

Wild Gift by X
Mar 24 2026

I always had an infinity for this sound so I’m already biased af here. But it wasn’t that spectacular like I’ve heard it done before so I l think this album is getting “punished” because of it. So not a bad album just not spectacular.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Mar 26 2026

This is a pedestrian album at best. Some good tunes but all in all it’s mid

Rocks by Aerosmith

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Apr 01 2026

Other than the beautiful songs about his parents and uh *checks song title* The Ghetto??? This was basically just 40 minutes of Elvis being a simp ass yearning lover boy… he’s just like me fr.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Apr 02 2026

Album wasn’t too bad. Again, for the 200th time it was just ok to me and I’m not sure if the point of this is for the albums to be other worldly or just ok music.

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Apr 03 2026

A 20 minute song to start the album is insane. 7 songs that run an hour and 45 is even more insane. Luckily, it’s from one of the greatest Jazz Musicians of all time.

Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
Apr 06 2026

Getting this album on Easter Sunday is eerie af. With that being said, my unbiased opinion on this album is that it sucks. Don’t get me wrong, there was some good beats and a song that brought me back to my days as a kid playing a WWE game on the PlayStation. But I totality, I reiterate, this shit sucked.

The Grand Tour by George Jones

Hotel California by Eagles
May 05 2026

Yeaa this is my type of music right here, time less rock and soul! Makes your spirit feel happy listening to this album. Try and Love again is an all timer for me, I had to spin that back multiple times. The definition of a five star album on here for me, I could say more about it but I think you get the gist 😂

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream

The Band by The Band

Some nice songs from the band

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
May 08 2026

This the type of shit your extremely talented drunk friend from college with wayyy too much time on his hands would do. Love is like jazz might be the worst song I’ve ever heard. There were some good songs in here so don't think I'm just being a hater. I just genuinely couldve died a happy man without hearing this shit.

American Beauty by Grateful Dead

Greetings From L.A. by Tim Buckley
May 15 2026

This shit sounds like a parody of an album. Like something that a character in a sketch comedy show would make. Absolutely awful, it’s been a shit week for this list.

Odessa by Bee Gees
May 17 2026

The first song alone was bad enough to drop this shit yo a 1. Even the good songs up here, which do exist, are ruined by that terrible singing. He sounded like a toddler putting his hand rapidly over his mouth while yelling. Pretty awful stuff all around.

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
May 18 2026

Finally some good damn music bruh! Damn it was like pulling teeth the last few days. This was a smooth lishen from start to finish and I enjoyed the simplicity of it.

I don’t know what I thought about Van Halen prior to this but I understand it now!

May 25 2026

Soul Mining by The The
May 26 2026

This that 80s sound that I love!

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
May 28 2026

I seriously don’t get the appeal but to each their own I guess. I can confidently say I’ll never listen to this again even though it was good gym hype music for a while there.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
May 29 2026

Bitter Sweet Symphony is one of the best songs of that damn decade so that song alone puts this album at 3 stars for me. The rest of the album is what elevates it to a 5. Every song was impactful, written beautifully and sonically arranged in a way that was pleasant to the ear. Finally a five star project, the first in a while for me!

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor
May 31 2026

I tell you what, if you gave a white man with long hair an acoustic guitar and a little bit of motion in the 70s, he might’ve pumped you out a solid album. Hell yea James

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Jun 01 2026

This sounds like the music that played on the intro of an early 2000’s Cinemax soft core porno movie. Which is sick at times but eventually it runs its course.

Idk what to say it about it. Just didn’t like the shit tbh

Forever Changes by Love
Jun 06 2026

Two good albums back to back!! I fell to my knees because it’s been a doozy of ass music the past few days. This one just felt good to listen to, perfect for a sunny bike ride through the city. The strings were out of this world and I need this on vinyl because I’m an insufferable hipster.

You know what Gene Clark, you just win me over.

Like A Prayer by Madonna

Ok I understand why she’s so famous now. I imagine this had and still has a chokehold on the people when she dropped this. Whole album is outstanding

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah
Jun 09 2026

It’s crazy to me how much yall hate hip hop on here, specifically women mcs. Oh well, that’s your loss! I loved her flow throughout the albums, it’s my favorite thing about old school hip-hop, the pockets they were able to find on these beats were incredible. Being able to rap well on a house beat is crazy!

Street Life by The Crusaders
Jun 10 2026

Ain’t nothing like some smoooooth jazz in the morning to calm you down before you walk in to work with those blood sucking vultures

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Jun 11 2026

Enough songs I like for it to be an ok listen

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Jun 12 2026

It was good enough. A lot of people have done this sound better and in comparison this doesn’t quite measure up. But I still enjoyed the listen.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Jun 13 2026

Everytime I listen to a different album from this era I understand why old people cling on to it so much. It was just raw, innovative and each sound was different. Tribe just has a way of rapping, production that just appeases the ear. I loved every song and it was so good I spun it through twice!

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Jun 17 2026

Finally some good music!! The 800s have been a pain to get through so far so this was a gem needless to say

Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Jun 18 2026

I would like to first say that Afrika Bambaataa is a nasty disgusting human being and I hope he’s paying for his crimes in death. Now judging the music, this was one of the foundations of hip hop, a genre that would go on to change, shape and highly impact the world. So i respect the contributions this album made to a genre that deeply influenced my life and journey through music. But the actual project is just ok, you can hear the infancy of the genre and how they were just catching a vibe with the beat. Nothing really of substance just a new type of music to party to at the time. There are classic records that live on through the many times that they’ve been sampled or redone. So overall this album is probably 2.9 but I bumped it up to a 4 for its impact on music alone.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Jun 19 2026

A solid listen but kinda sounded like a blend of every 60s album of the same genre. Not a bad thing just doesn’t stand out.

Bobby Womack with the voice as smooth as butter

Ctrl by SZA
Jun 23 2026

A lot of edgy people dislike this album so I must hate it too! But unfortunately my ears work and I can’t help but hear a classic R&B album that shaped the sound for the genre for the next decade. Damn, I guess I’ll never be cool but oh well.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jun 24 2026

This was really good. Not much to say other than that lol

Jun 26 2026

The best thing to come out of 2007 fr! This album is a classic, it’s the sound track of a good time. Electric Feel alone is five stars but the entire project lives up to that record. My girl said her teacher used to play this album all the time while they were doing work in class, I know that guy had one hell of a life outside of school.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Jun 27 2026

I just don’t understand how you even come across this album. Like did this guy just have that deep of music knowledge to know about this shit? Or did he actively listen to this shit and enjoy it? Or is the criteria just throwing shit (this album) at a wall (us) and hoping it sticks? This genuinely has confused me and simultaneously pissed me tf off.

Woodface by Crowded House

Some good music on here it’s just that the album was way too damn long! Which is ironic because the Minutemen went for a damn hour plus

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jul 09 2026

Solid album full of songs with my favorite kind of sound. Nothing like the 80s man

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Jul 10 2026

I remember being in high school and my sister listening to her first album which is a classic in my book. Now this doesn’t quite rise to that level but that’s ok, I enjoyed this concept when it came out and it was nice to revisit the project. The vocals are elite and though I can’t identify with the content of it, I can still hear good song when it comes on. And there were a lot of good songs on here!

The Rise & Fall by Madness
Jul 11 2026

Never heard such a classic song come from such a shit album. I mean seriously, I like riding in my car with a I like riding on my bike remix… I like turning this shit the fuck off.

Damaged by Black Flag
Jul 12 2026

Shit was cool at first but then it morphed into them just screaming into the void on distorted guitar rifts & im overly cool on that

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves
Jul 13 2026

Spacey Kacey you make my heart racey… Everybody needs a little Kacey in their lives. My ex put me on to this album way back in 2019 and I’m happy to see it made this project. Some good music, great writing and a good range of songs. This is a four of I’ve ever heard one.

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Jul 14 2026

This mfer sounded like 1968 Currensy in the worst way possible. Maybe I should’ve listened to this shit stoned because sober it sounded like a humiliation ritual.

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Jul 15 2026

Roxy Music is kinda all over the place but was cool enough in spurts

New Wave by The Auteurs
Jul 16 2026

This had some really decent ups but the downs were in hell

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Jul 17 2026

There was nothing wonderful about this shit. Just a bunch of bad noises on loop for 41 minutes smh

Spiderland by Slint
Jul 18 2026

It didn’t really impact me enough to have an opinion on it which says everything fr

Duck Stab/Buster & Glen by The Residents
Jul 20 2026

I have no words just utter disbelief, disgust and disappointment.

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
Jul 22 2026

They made this cover art in two seconds so naturally I thought the project was going to be shit. Good job working against yourself at first but then proving to be decent at making music.

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Jul 23 2026

This might’ve been the hardest instrumental album I’ve ever heard!

School's Out by Alice Cooper
Jul 24 2026

Honestly wasn’t as bad as I initially thought it was gonna be. Was definitely pleasantly surprised. The musicality of it was my favorite by far, it had a little bit of everything which I enjoyed.

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Jul 25 2026

Now this album is what I started doing this shit first!! Absolutely incredible to hear something this good.

Tellin’ Stories by The Charlatans
Jul 27 2026

Once again, not bad music just doesn’t move the needle for me.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jul 28 2026

3 + 3 =6 stars for this smooth ass album! The guitar riff at the beginning of Summer Breeze always gets burned into my head everytime I hear it. I’ve been whistling that tune all day!

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Jul 29 2026

I have nothing of note to say about it. Was a solid listen.

Slanted And Enchanted by Pavement
Jul 30 2026

Here is definitely an all time banger, the rest was hit or miss

Faith by George Michael
Jul 31 2026

I will be your father figure you can put your hand in mine… my boy had some soul in him I can’t even lie, I loved this!

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Aug 01 2026

This album had all the tools to be a great album but when the lead singers voice makes you audibly infuriated, it’s a hard uphill battle as far as ratings go. I liked enough songs for it not to be a one but damn that voice really pisses me off.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Aug 02 2026

Dire Straits by Dire Straits some really good sounding music. This felt timeless when I was listening to it which speaks to its greatness, this could’ve been made yesterday. Made a new fan out of me!

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Aug 03 2026

A very soothing experience. I loved the rawness of it, wasn’t really too much frills just some good writing and great delivery.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Aug 04 2026

There was a lot of enjoyable music on this album. But I don’t think Bowie can make bad music just music that’s not as good as his peak stuff.

Palo Congo by Sabu
Aug 05 2026

Some solid noises???

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Aug 06 2026

Cool instrumentals. Nice and easy listen, still don’t know if I had to hear this before I died. But I’m definitely not extremely mad that I did.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Aug 07 2026

Just another run of the mill album that I didn’t need to hear before I died

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Aug 08 2026

Honestly wasn’t terrible just a lot longer than I needed it to be

Sound Affects by The Jam
Aug 09 2026

Well would you look at that, I didn't hate the sound affects at all. Good on you The Jam, good on you.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Aug 10 2026

Honestly wasn't terrible, now it wasn't that great either but it had some solid moments. Like whoever is singing in Immigrant, her voice is beautiful af and it carried the album for me!

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Aug 11 2026

HOLY SHIT THE GUITARS, DO YOU HEAR THE GUITARS?!???? Billy might be the coldest to do it! Ok he lost me with the 7 minute song about Italian restaurants in the middle but I know he’s gonna turn it around. I told you! Brother turned it back around the next damn song. I’ve heard this one before too and it hits harder within the inner workings of the album. And that was my live reaction, shoutout to the god Billy Joel. I understand it now.

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Aug 12 2026

Im not gonna lie he had me wanting to throw my phone in the Pacific Ocean (I’m on the east coast) for a good chunk of this project. But it wasn’t the worst thing in the world at times so it’s not a one but I can’t give it higher than a 2 because there a lot of trash in here. Well I made it through more of the album and Blind love is a beautiful song. So it just lived up to a 3 for me now because it ended with some really good music.

Pacific Ocean Blue by Dennis Wilson
Aug 13 2026

I really enjoyed most of each disc on this album. And after doing a desk dive into Dennis, this a helluva one album to have. RIP
