3/10 felt like absolutely nothing

Modern Man Sprawl II Cleaning / study music. Because it doesn’t catch your attention. It’s kinda just there. It’s alright. Kinda boring tbh

As with the other Arcade Fire album, I forgot about this right after listening. Not my cup of tea.

I have never liked Arcade Fire, but knowing that there is a creep in the band. It makes it hard for me to separate artist from art on this one. I would have given this a 2 or 3, it's pretty bland, but I can't bring myself to really listen to it.

Day39 - i’m blown away that even one arcade fire is considered essential much less two of these turds

Straight ass

The start of the rhythms reminded me of Passion Pit’s album, Manners, but the songs never hit a thematic high like Manners did. I never bothered to really listen to what the lyrics were, because the beats didn’t make me care. I did like the final song, Sprawl II, and I put it on repeat. They should ditch the lead singer and put the girl on wax.

19/100 Based on this scale: 1 star - 0 to 19 2 stars - 20 to 39 3 stars - 40 to 59 4 stars - 60 to 79 5 stars - 80 to 100 I'm a Montrealer, so I feel that it's my duty to like this. If so, I've failed in my duty. I don't understand why anyone would listen to something so mind-numbingly bland on purpose. I tried to give it two stars, because it's not quite as bad as some other albums to which I gave one star, but this doesn't deserve the second star, so I gave it 19/100, the maximum score for one star. Also, it's way too long. This is punishment. Half Moon Run would have been a much better option for this list.

Dull. Insipid. Uninspiring.

Didn't liked. Just not my type of music.

Just bad

boring and dragged on

Boring, monotonous. It tries to be a cheap hit, but it rarely succeeds... I realized at track 4 that this is not the first track. The start of Empty Room was promising, but then it too sank back into the commercial garbage that flows from everywhere. Up until Half Light I I had planned to somehow make it halfway through the album and give up, but by II I had changed strategy, if nothing worthwhile happened for a minute and a half, move on to the next one. Unfortunately, I still had to listen to the last song. It was a pity. I may be being nasty, but I think I'll rename the bookmark: The 1000 albums you wasted your time on - that'll be the new name.

kinda good sound design and nice vocals... ...but i didn't like the album anyway.

Didnt care for this one either

Underwhelming

yeah i'm not listening to this one believe women

Harder to swallow with the artist have those allegations against him, confusing. Not overly impressed with the opener. I'm not going to complete this listen for now.

I quite liked We Used To Wait and Ready Stop Start when they came out, but the rest of this album all seems the same note throughout. I can see the anthemic feel they are going for, but for that to work, you need light and shade. There’s not a lot of variety to what AF do. And of course a lot has happened with the band / Butler since, so it feels kind of wrong to be listening to them at all now (given I was not a big fan in the first place). In summary, they have the odd good song here, but it all feels a bit formulaic and as if they are telling me how I should feel.

Doesn't matter how good this album is, the lead singer is disgusting, so I can't give it a high rating.

New music but a fat meh

Arcade Fire again? Why? WHY? Well I'll give them credit, their music does capture the malaise of suburban life. This album reaffirmed a few things for me. 1) I don't like the suburbs. 2) I don't like music about the suburbs. 3) I sure as hell don't like Arcade Fire

In 2010 I was a 32 year old, divorced, poor, single mother of a kindergartener. If I had been a teenager in 2010, I think I would have liked this album. As it it, meh.

Quite boring

eh, I tried to like it but not a single song on this album really stood out to me.
