Reviews (page 14 of 14)

#353/1001. Don Henley said: This is a concept album, there's no way to hide it (…) It's our bicentennial year, you know, the country is 200 years old (...) We've been okay so far, for 200 years, but we're gonna have to change if we're gonna continue to be around." WELL, YOU FUCKING SCREWED IT UP AND CHANGED MUSIC TO AOR! ;)

“I’ve had a rough night and I hate the fuckin’ eagles man” Jeff Lebowski

Well that was mind numbingly dull.

The dude was right

The Dude was right.

Hotel California is my least favorite song of all time. Something about it grates my core, I can’t stand it. & look, I GET the Eagles. I remember not hating the other album we got….alas…

These Eagles are on the exSTINK list

Overrated

Was Don Henly the one who said this was essential? Or just some guy who stopped living past the 70's?

This album opens with the two worst songs ever written, back-to-fucking-back. I'll save everybody a lot of time and just stop there.

Funny this should come on the heels of the Byrds. This is the follow-up, imitation, watered-down version of what they were doing. To huge commercial success, while the Byrds are still relatively unheralded.

I will never knowingly listen to this album again. One of the things I have learned from my 1001 journey so far is that I have a particularly strong reserve supply of dislike for music that takes itself too seriously. It might be a stretch, but I think it is perfectly plausible that a band or artist could make music with a similar aesthetic to Eagles that I could like, but this album gets it all wrong for me. Eagles and their supporters think this is music that matters when in reality it’s vacuous, vanilla, disposable pop. I am a fan of plenty of disposable pop, and I may give high scores to some that turn up on this list, but Hotel California is very boring and that is a crime against pop music.

The Eagles are just the worst. So talented, and still so awful. I'd rather listen to my cat meowing for food.

Didn't enjoy a single song.

Fucking hate the Eagles

Fkn h8 eagles

I had a good childhood, I heard this album a lot back then... But this album doesn't make me feel nostalgic, it just annoys me. Maybe that means something deeper about my childhood, or maybe it just means the Eagles are boring.

This album is honestly really boring. The title song is great, everything else is beyond mediocre.

I hate the fucking Eagles

I just don’t care to F with these guys. Their music does nothing for me.

Knowing only Hotel California (the worst of the classic 70s epic rock songs), I went in thinking the Eagles were a naff 70s rock band. I stand corrected. They’re much worse than just being naff. How these people became one of the best selling bands of all time is beyond me.

Vapid and uninspiring. This is the music Boomers listened to, that turned them into racist old people. Horrible.

Obviously technically proficient, but ultimately soulless, I really don't understand how the Eagles became so popular. There were plenty of more interesting acts making music in the 70s, that Hotel California of all records became this mammoth myabe just speaks to the taste of the average person more than I'd care to admit. Boring music for people whose rebel days were behind them.

Overrated shit

I forgot I listened to this album after my first listen. With the exception of the title track and (part of) the chorus of Life in the Fast Lane I had no memory of anything in the album. Guitar rifts, lyrics, production, nothing. I remembered thinking the songs were alright, nothing interesting but also nothing spectacular, and was shocked when the album finished because it went by surprisingly fast given the bloated length of much of the songs, and then... nothing. I forgot everything. During my second listening it felt like the first time I was listening to most of the songs. And even afterwards on that trip, I could barely remember anything from the album. I've never experienced that with... well anything before. I don't know of this is a good album. It's not horrible, I can't say that. It's standard, nothing special. It is what people think of when they think of 70's rock. Typical of it's genre and it's constraints and tendencies. But the fact I can't recall anything specific, besides the first song, should mark this as a bad album, right? It has to right? The album doesn't sound horrible, it's not in terrible taste. It just passes the time. It's 43 minutes of rock's elevator music. It will stop you from experiencing the upcoming and slow journey in pure emptiness. But hell you'll remember, or care, about what you just listened to. Highlights are Hotel California (though the cover by the Gypsy Kings is the best version of the song).

Zero tolerance for this.

I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man.

By far less obnoxious or terrible than their debut, the Eagle's Hotel California has some decent melodies and a few ideas that almost work (omg, did I really write down these words?). I don't fully "love" a single track, but New Kid in Town has a mildly (and suspiciously) soothing effect on my psyche today (a grey, f*#king freezing cold day somewhere in Europe). For every New Kid in Town, however, there is a Life in the Fast Lane or Victim of Love, which trigger my fingers to hit the skip button immediately. I'm glad I finally sat through Hotel Californa, because now I can be reasonably certain I'll never have to do it again. I'm honestly surprised that this is considered such a gem, because for most of its runtime (which isn't even thaaaat long), it's actually… quite boring.

Only band duller than Steely Dan zzzzzzz

Well I've listened to it once before I die. Cocaine has a lot to answer for.

insipid, bland, lame, rock ballad bollocks.

thumbs down

Hotel California is the perfect metaphor for the Eagles - as much as we collectively has human beings have stabbed Don Henley and company with our steely knives we just can’t kill the boomer shit filled beast known as the Eagles.

Self indulgent trash

I refuse to listen to the Eagles

1/5 - just quite boring

Absolutely not

kenn nur Namensgeber; vielleicht auch den nicht, ziemlich öder NDR1 Rest, Country höre ich nicht nochmal

I got this album on the same day I really started listening to Rosalia's Lux, which resulted in me levitating outside of my body, ascending to a higher plane, and finding god through music. I did put Hotel California on for a few songs, but honestly the best part of getting this album today was reading all the 1 star reviews ripping it apart and then feeling appreciative of all the actually good music I get to listen to. Don't listen to these guys, blast Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti out the open windows at top volume and know that GOD IS REAL GOD IS ACTUALLY REAL I WOULDN'T JOKE ABOUT THIS as my boyfriend Cameron Winter says.

Very bland, very beige, very boring.

Too dad rock ew. Except the actual song hotel california which is classic but ya overplayed

I hate the fucking Eagles and I hate this fucking record.

Boomers whining about being rich and famous.

- Oh yay, another pedo. - The album is so bland. Some okay guitar, but even that’s mostly boring. - The title track is the only thing worth listening to, but you already know it.

Wow, I can’t believe Don Henley and co. would blatantly plagiarize Frank Ocean’s “American Wedding.” 0.5/5, thievery will not be tolerated, but the guitar solo on the title track adds on half a star.

i thought the title track was the worst song of all time, but they made 8 more that are somehow worse

fuck the eagles

Uh, not so much. The title track and the other hit song Life in the Fast Lane are okay, but I think most of that is just because they are so familiar (over played). 1 star, because that’s the lowest option.

Oh for fuck's sake. To quote, "I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man". This is trash, the Eagles are trash and second only to Radiohead on my "hated artist" list. Life in the Fast Lane needs a good metal cover - that's probably the only redeeming thing on this album. Where's C.O.C when you need them? Motorhead would have been a good choice too.

No thanks, like I would like to pay to never have to listen to the Eagles again.

Much better live. And I mean, much, much, better.

Another stinker

Lebowski was right

One of the most overrated and dull records ever made

Just hate the eagles but that’s just me

Nooooooo, not the eagles. Never been a fan, and this album does not change that. Boring dad rock.

Not sure it’s unavailable on YouTube music??

This is the worst.

Not a huge eagles fan, little boring. fav = new kid in town

There is a little paragraph at the end of this album's entry in the copy I have of the book and it says: "Hotel California represents everything that punk came to destroy: glassily perfect production, harmonized guitar solos and "themes"." And I can't be happier that punk washed so much away, not because what it's doing is wrong but there is something to hearing a song like "Hotel California" with it's tale of the horrors of this lovely place that traps you forever with a song that is probably the most representative of that era of soft rock, and just feeling absolutely nothing. It works thematically, but I can't care about this tale when the music sounds so iron out smooth it loses any edge, even the hard rocking songs just do nothing. Just a nothing of an album

I hate the eagles

Truly awful

I gave it the college try, but it really is bad.

Boring and formulaic

Ugh, the fucking Eagles. I get why people like this band, I guess, but I don’t care for them. It’s like soulless pseudo country at points and soulless corporate rock at others. Sometimes it's a mix of the two. I dunno, I’ve already covered my disdain for this band on another record, so I’ll spare myself the writing exercise here. 1.5/5 This record gets an extra half a point from me just because, while I hate this band, it’s pretty hard not enjoy the solo from Hotel California…which is probably the best song they’ve ever written, and I still mostly hate it.

Nah, this was very samey. Hotel California being the only stand out song, which is already played to death. Life in the fast lane also features, but the rest are pretty much identical 'filler' type songs to me.

It managed to fall short of my incredibly low expectations. Wretched.

Back in the 70s my mom was living on a commune, and there was a band playing there late one night, she was tired and trying to sleep and she got up and went up to the lead singer of the band (it was the Glenn Frey) and asked him if he could turn it off. Feel the same way about this album.

I had only heard the first 3 songs on this album. The rest was worse than I expected. String section and a song about native Americans? Just listening to this once turns you into a boomer dad one step away from a cocaine binge.

Over played garbage

The title track is some white boy reggae rock, not offensively bad but its kinda cringe. The 2nd song is a decent ballad and the 3rd song is a decent rocker. Everything else represents the all the things I hate about 70's rock. Boring

Not even Joe Walsh could save this. Yuck.

This ain’t that good. Hotel California is standout

Felt like I was at the dad rock bar. Not gonna lie I skipped through this one pretty fast so it wouldnt fuck up my Spotify algorithm,

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

I, too, hate the fucking Eagles. And I cannot hear an Eagles song and be reminded of the boomer boss I had who loved the Eagles. Fuck you, Pete, you runty little prick.

Did not enjoy it :( It's like a weak 2 at most but the attempts at actually rocking out and the really soft MOR tracks on here were really not for me (Life in the Fast Lane, Wasted Time, Pretty Maids All in a Row are weak 1/5 for me) and so I have to go lower. New Kid in Town, Try to Love Again and The Last Resort are both highlights (close to or comfortably a 3/5) and I think they succeeded most when sticking to that kinda soft rock formula but most of these tracks just feel so disposable - even the main big title track (which isn't that overplayed for me and so can say with a clear head that I just didn't like it).

This album is the definition of bland

Stinky album

So boring holy shit

aggressive cumming

there was 2 good songs and those are their hits soooo…. as the dude says, it’s been a long night and i hate the fuckin eagles man i don’t hate the eagles but i get where he’s coming from now. they’re not my top i’ll say that.

I did not expect to particularly enjoy this but I also didn’t expect to actively dislike it even more after listening the whole way through. Listen, I get why it’s on this list; it was and remains ubiquitous. And technically, yeah, these guys seem like good musicians - particularly the guitar work. But that almost makes it worse, because everything about this record is slick and soulless. In its best moments it’s like the opening music they do for Sunday Night Football on tv - obviously designed to get you amped up, smooth & distracting enough for you to not think at all about how it’s turning your own human emotions against you for someone else’s commercial gain. So much of American culture is this now - it infuriates me to learn that we checked in here all the way back in the 70s. I want us to leave! Having now actually listened to them sort of on purpose, I guess I also hate the fucking Eagles, man.

Don Felder’s songs are good.. the titular track’s guitar is solid. But it’s been a long night, and I hate the fucking Eagles.

I figured I'd give this a shot when 1001Albums pitched this to me to see if I really did hate the Eagles or if it was just a meme opinion I absorbed through film and the internet. Turns out I am in fact not a fan of this kind of slow, soft, reggae-tinged, tropical, sap ballad type of pop rock. None of the songs are all that exciting to me, and I while I'm a sucker for classic rock stuff to a degree the title track always stuck out as lame to me. Midwestern boomers longing for the exoticism of the west coast / the tropics while zerking it with pina coladas and acoustic beach side love ballads just doesn't warrant the rock coat of paint. Crackkkers need to knock that shit off.

Noooo!!!!! A real text conversation between Reggie and I to explain my feelings: AC: Afternoon MLB is such a vibe. Wednesday is the frickin day, man RM: Hell yeah. 12:35 start for STL v PIT, then baseball for the rest of the day. What a time to be alive AC: Love it. I’d much rather ball in the background than Hotel California. That’s my 1001 today… blegh RM: I mean it's not the *worst* eagles album lol AC: The amount of cocaine/mimosa-fuelled sex that’s happened to the tune of this album… RM: And that's a bad thing?!?! AC: Great point RM: We’ve all been there *mimosa emoji* AC: Well, this conversation just wrote tomorrow’s 1* review hahah RM: Hahaha glad I could help *laughing emoji*

One of those bands where people think the writing is really deep and get a lot out of the songs, but I definitely don't. Songs like Life in the Fast Lane are just a waste of time for me, where's the intrigue? The writing is slightly more complex than the average pop song, but not by much. The rock songs with boring lyrics are blended in with boring ballads like Wasted Time which makes it that much harder to listen to. Plus you add in the plausibly problematic fact that these guys are consistently judging women "out in those bars" after a breakup. "I could be wrong, but I'm not, no I'm not" is also one of the most obnoxious things I've heard a boy band say after telling a woman how she feels. Even writing a song about environmentalism ain't gonna save this from a 1/5. I'll be curious to see what the rest of the group thinks, because I think the Eagles will be lost to time here in another decade.

I'm with the Dude on this one.

Ugh. Boomer shit.

Snoozacella. Yawnstock. Boringbury. Dullapalooza.

Like The Dude says, “I hate the fuckin’ Eagles, man.”

hate the fucking eagles, man

This is the 54th album I’m rating. I’ve only heard Hotel California and I hated it so I have pretty low expectations. Adding to my Playlist - Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, and Try and Love Again. Not Adding to my Playlist - New Kid in Town, Wasted Time, Wasted Time (Reprise), Victim of Love, Pretty Maids All in a Row, and The Last Resort. Hotel California - I don’t what young me was thinking because this is great. All in all I liked 3/9 songs. I don’t really like the Eagles. How did this album sell so well?

I can't do it

Several years ago some friends and I went to a festival that happened to have The Eagles on the bill. We felt obligated to go see the legendary band simply because it would likely be the only opportunity we'd ever have to do so. They opened with Hotel California and we listened. Once the song finished we all looked at each other and, knowing the set had already peaked, we walked off to watch something interesting. That same feeling came flooding back whilst listening to this album. What a turgid pile of shit. I believe it was the great thinker of the end of the last century, Jeffery 'the dude' Lebowski who said it most eloquently: "I hate the fucking Eagles, man". Quite.

Yikes about this band so nope

Didn't like The Eagles BEFORE I knew they were responsible for Life in the Fast Lane, now I truly hate them.

Listen, I just really don’t like The Eagles. I gave this album a fair shake, but I was miserable for every single second of it.

I’ve been putting this off. I don’t get it. It’s out of the way now.

Not listening to this

Hotel California- This shit is so funny. People in 1976 were irreversibly changed hearing this New Kid in Town- pretty comfortable and very self-pitying Life in the Fast Lane- xbox racing game tutorial music Wasted time- lol Wasted time (reprise) -LOL YOU THOUGHT Victim of Love- i forgot to write something Pretty Maids All in a Row- women break his heart frequently Try and Love Again- going back for more women Last Resort- It was a different time but man. My gf moving to Colorado is just like the Native Americans. I do like the little minor note he hits but this is not it. Kind of a strange note to end the album on It's dramatic and comes across full of itself, which in the first few songs I can enjoy but the rest of it doesn't do much for me. I can see the appeal, but can't help but find the lyrics a bit insufferable and the sound itself unimpressive Read on the wiki that apparently they had to stop recording this album because Black Sabbath was in the next room (also funny)

This is an attack

Good musicians from a technical perspective but they are painful to listen to. I could not make it through the whole album.

I'm with The Dude on this one.

Come on, man. I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man!

General impression: Everyone’s saying it: “I just fuckin’ hate the Eagles, man.” Detailed review: This gets one star and it’s entirely due to the riff on “Life in the Fast Lane.” That’s a good riff. Not good enough to elevate any of the rest of the material, though. And as much as I hate the Eagles in general, I hate “Hotel California” (the song) the most. Fuck that song. Fuck this album. Deeper thoughts (context): This is one of my most biased reviews. Sorry not sorry. Read the general impression line again. Score: 1 Number of albums left to review: 948 Number of albums from the list I’d consider “must-listens”: 30 Albums from the list I won't include in mine: 23 (including this one)

Boring rock. :)

it sucks

"I hate the fucking Eagles, man!” Everything that's wrong with American post industrial capitalism in little under an hour . Utter toss

I don't want to spend any time on this. Some of the guitar solos are memorable. Another reviewer here said that this is the type of thing that gave rise to punk rock and I couldn't agree more.

Just the best of the best. All tracks, every one!

🔸Madagascar Fish-eagle , drums 🔸Crested Serpent-eagle, bass 🔸Spanish Imperial Eagle, lead guitar 🔸Verreaux's Eagle, theremin 🔸Pallas's Fish-eagle, blow 🔸Bald Eagle, passive aggressive notes on the fridge

I fucking hate the Eagles.

5 for the sick ass guitar solo in Hotel California. 0 for everything else.

The most offensive thing about this album is how fucking boring it is.

Fuck! Really? I just had an Eagles album 2 weeks ago and I haven't been fully cleansed of all the shit still stuck in my ears. I'm 127 days into this and I'm starting to believe that Robert Dimery just has shitty taste in music. This albums sucks. No redeeming qualities AT ALL.

imagine being a kid and finding a beetle. you take it back to your room and get a pair of tweezers and a magnifying glass. you have no idea what makes a beetle tick so you start pulling it apart. you get its wings, legs, antennae, head, torso, etc. all laid out. then for the next week you go do the same for other bugs ,but find out the butterfly has far more intricate wing design, the stick-bug has superior leg structure, even the fly has more unique eyes. hotel california is that first beetle. every single piece of it is done far better somewhere else. it is an amalgamation of rock mediocrity and it only seems special in the light of it being the first thing you were exposed to. ive jokingly maintained for a long time that hotel california is my least favorite song ever. it probably isnt really (it truly is listenable unlike the metal albums ive heard on this list) but it does represent a lot of what i hate about rock music. sappy, soulless ballads and horrendous rockers, all containing the worlds most vapid lyricism. these songs have no interesting melodies. he harmonies are no where near CSN. they do have occasionally good guitar progressions but it's not like robbie basho or john fahey or something. it's just a progression that i can think "huh, thatd sound cool to strum". this music is the opposite of transcendtal, it is a degression of what rock music can be.

I usually try to keep an open mind about albums but I genuinely hate this one. The vocals, the backing instruments, all of it is practically unlistenable to me.

Big bowl of nope.

Not fantastic. Never a big fan of Eagles.

I had a rough night and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man

Turgid Seventies rock.

dad rock pero del aburrido, el single es el album, deberias dejar de escuchar tras la primera canción

Absolutely not.

Heard this too many times.

Incredibly bland, incredibly middle of the road, if you're a music fan theres nothing here you wont find done better in a hundred other places Not unlistenable as it gets the basic building blocks of solos, songwriting etc right...just forgettable, overproduced and boring. Can't really understand why it's still in the zeitgeist at all - avoid unless you can't

Holy mother of god that sucked. Try and Love Again was the closest to some level of quality and soul, rest of the album felt like trying to take a fly out of a soup with tweezers

i hate the eagles

HATER POST: Maaaan fuck the Eagles, I’m sorry, fuck Eagles because the band is as grammatically stupid as the music is boring. Hotel California mystifies me of how people could tolerate that slog for so many years. How do you make a guitar solo sound so fucking tedious!? I looked up some lyrics out of curiosity and the explanation given on Genius through an interview with Don Henley only reinforced my hatred. Dude sounds like a grade A asshat. Rest of the album sucks too, life in the fast lane blows, new kid in town blows, the other tracks aren’t even memorable enough to list. I imagine the record label made them double up on Wasted Time as a warning to consumers much like a parental advisory sticker.

Fuck the Eagles, man.

There are a lot of 70s schlock rock bands that sound like each other and are hard to tell apart. Some of them I've listened to for this list. All of them I've kept an open mind. One or two of them, I actually enjoyed! Honestly! The Eagles are just bad. I almost wish they blended into the crowd. I couldn't make it through an entire song on this album. Even at their peak they are just plain insufferable.

The drumming is particularly annoying, especially the left-right panning.

It's just so dreadfully bland.

No. Fuck the Eagles. And James Taylor. https://www.theringer.com/music/2021/5/5/22420083/the-eagles-glen-frey-don-henley-50-years

no thank you

I don't mind the eponymous track, but unfortunately it was Codeine 1 - Eagles 0. I dozed most of the way through it. Became fully conscious during the last song and thought it should have bèen used as advert theme music for some Christian Evangelist TV channel. Very ordinary. Fuck knows why they are so big. 1

something about the eagles annoy the shit out of me. it's music that i only like when driving at night in the desert. outside of that it does not fuck

Never liked this album, and maybe this is dramatic but I really struggled getting through it this time. Don Henley always annoyed me, and I'm sick of these songs. One and a half. Fave track: The Last Resort

Trúi ekki að ég hafi klárað hana. Alltaf þegar ég hélt að versta lagið væri komið, þá byrjaði næsta……..

Vá hvað þetta er leiðinlegt! Veit enga plötu sem byrjar á þremur jafnleiðinlegum lögum og svo versnar það bara. Hef komist ágætlega í gegnum lífið án þess að þurfa að hlusta á þessa plötu og það er ekki að fara að breytast. Skammastu þín algóritmi fyrir að gera mér þetta.

fuck the eagles

Dad rock is still dadding.

I hate it

'Hotel California' and 'Life In The Fast Lane' have a certain nostalgic value and I suppose could be considered guilty (nearly) pleasures. The rest of this mawkish nonsense is music for people who find Steely Dan just a little bit too dangerous.

Juuh ilman nimikkobiisiä tää olis lähellä listan huonointa levyä. Nimikko on minusta oikeasti kova klassikko ja hyvät ajattomat teemat jne. Ja pitkään kelasin, että annan 2/5 vaan sen takia, mutta herran jestas viimeistään The Last Resort on niin tuskallista kamaa, että 1/5 on ansaittu.

I hate Eagles

I really don't like the eagles

Pure rubbish. I couldn't put myself through this bittersweet nonsense. I listened to a bit of each song and found each one nauseating.

I hate the eagles

Yet more evidence that the only way to listen to the Eagles is with a greatest hits collection because one amazing song and two okay ones doesn't make for a good record when the rest are audio abominations.

This is so god awful.

I find a guilty pleasure in some of the songs I've heard by The Eagles, Hotel California is not one of them. Having been playing drums in a classic rock cover band for over a decade now, I can't express the burnout I have over this album. There is not a single track on this particular record that brings me any joy.

Fuck the eagles. Boring as shit

This album stinks

Made it a few minutes into the opener, basically yacht rock for your dad when he’s in a dinghy on holiday.

Dry as a fucking bone.

"I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man." - The Dude

I fail to find what anyone enjoys on this record. I have to be thankful that this shitty arena rock inspired early punks to tear it all down.

Can’t believe we doubled up on the Eagles. Again, really not a fan.

Slog x 2. Brutal.

I hate the eagles this validates my whole world view with it's awfulness

Sounds like Cars soundtrack, favorite was one of the last ones, the beginning sounded like Don’t Forget by Demi uhh definitely American af 4/10

Not crazy about this record. There was some interesting lead guitar work, and obviously the title track Hotel California is a bit of a monster. But it kind of feels like they had a great single and released a whole record around it. The second half of the album is... not good.

Obligatory Lebowski

Nope, this album made me miserable today. Its just so bloody dull and does nothing for me.

boring and they pulled most of the songs from YT

Enjoyed the title track, but after that.... zzzzz

I hate to say this but it's giving me Jimmy Buffett vibes. New Kid in Town is cringe. I think this music is deeply not for me, but great for car commercials? Idk. Wasted time is ok. The reprise is better because there is no vocal. Victim of love also cringe. Weirdly kind of enjoyed Try to Love Again, sort of a sweet lyric and melody, but the bar is low. The Last Resort is reasonable. Lyrics decent. Would not listen to this again.

Ow did not like this at all, get hotel calitwatnia but the rest was painful.

Not a fan

Marginally more engaging than the last Eagles album, but nah. After committing to listening to 2 Eagles albums, I still only vaguely like 2 Eagles songs, and they both kick off their respective albums. Plus I prefer the Gipsy Kings version of one. Pass.

The sound of a generation trying to cling to their rebellious youth while plundering the planet and rigging the markets to enrich themselves at the expense of future generation. Boomer drivel.

Meh, two good songs.

Seminal fluid. ubiquitous claptrap. catchy like syphilis.

I've had a long day and I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man

Terrible album that was torture to get through

Not my cup of tea at all. Slow and uninspiring. I can’t stand the title track and it went downhill from there

Fuck the eagles

I wish I could give it less than one star.

I hate the fucking Eagles man... but solo Joe Walsh is fine...

To quote The Dude, "I f*ckin hate The Eagles."

Je n’ai jamais aimé ce band. Le texte de Hôtel California est bien, mais l’ensemble me tape sués nerfs. Le reste de l’album fait un peu danse sociale. Une chance qu’il y a « Life in the fast lane ».

Drôle d'album. Hotel California, je ne suis plus capable de l'entendre. J'ai probablement déjà aimé New Kid In Town étant jeune, vraiment jeune.

Ergh. I don't know. Shit. Hotel California is massive I guess. Got bored instantly. If it was a footballer it would be Romelu Lukaku trying to escape Chelsea, but way less interesting.

Painfully bland, only managed about 5 songs. Nnnneeeexxxxxxttttttt.

Fuck this band. Fuck that song. Fuck this album.

Would give it a zero if I could

Not listening to that garbage on my birthday

un pedazo humeante de mierda. tiene 2 rolas chidas, lo demás es basura.

It's so bland compared to their contemporaries and inspirations: none of the politics of CCR, none of the of the romantic complications of Fleetwood Mac, none of the creativity of Steely Dan- just rock ballad after rock ballad

I've listened to too much Eagles growing up on the radio to really enjoy them anymore, but gave this a spin anyway. I can't say that these aren't good songs, but Don Henley's voice is a little too syrupy for my taste and the music is too sweet and smooth to be interesting to listed to. I know. I should like the Eagles. I just don't

it was all glenn fry junk.

Most songs blocked in YouTube Music. The Dude was right ... Fuck the Eagles

nope, never need to hear this again.

26X Platinum! What an odd duck I must be! I could barely tolerate the first three (hit) songs back in the day (the title track had a good guitar solo) but the rest is unlistenable. So commercial. Bad 70s rock.

Naaaaa

Sorry, no.

For the first time, I am abstaining from listening to this album and giving it 1 star

Right up my ally. This album was unknown to me because it came out before my teenage alternative rock years. I probably wouldn't have listened to it because of the language anyway though.

i love it

Un chinito pecando.
