Some classic tracks on here such as Free Bird, but so is Tuesday's gone and my all time favourite track from this band, Simple Man. Never listed to one of their albums before.
My favourite Beatles album, enough said!
I enjoyed it, didn't realise these were the bank Paul Simon used for his Graceland album
Just not my bag
I don't listen to much of the genre, but enjoyed it. Will listen to that again.
Enjoyable - Never listened to him before
Some nice tracks but so middle of the road it became dull, very fast!
I liked that more than I thought I would.
Could do with listening to it a bit more, but enjoyed it. You can really hear that that whole style really started with him..
Some interesting songs, but not for me
I knew a lot more songs on this than i thought i would!
Really enjoyed it. Wouldn't want to listen to it all the time though
Just not a fan
I found it a bit generic but that's probably because he was the first and it's been done to death since!
I genuinely thought I'd really like this album.... I didn't
A good listen!
Some great tracks, but find it hard to really enjoy it as an album at times.
You can see where so many bands have got their influence from. I just prefer a cleaner sound. Even though this is an iconic album, it's just a solid album for me.
I want to like them, but i just don't
Desolate Bruce sounds great!
Just not my bad at all
It really isn't for me. I'm sure some people loved it, but will avoid giving it my first 1 star too.
I really enjoyed listening to this. I will be adding this into my regular rotation!
This is a classic 80s rock album. I heard this a lot growing up through older family members loving it. Objectively, probably not a 5 star album, but all tracks are really really good and some catchy radio friendly tunes in there for good measure.
A pleasant listening experience
I just dont like the style at all. Just not for me. Other than the song Virtual Insanity that had a fantastic video, I never understood the attraction to this band.
So so, middle of the road...yawn
I enjoyed listening to this, but probably wouldn't come back to it often.
An enjoyable jazzy romp
A fantastic album, brilliantly produced. The opening 9 mins of Shine on You Crazy Diamond is just incredible. Overall, it's a stone cold classic.
A really indulgent opening 20 minute track, but I still quite enjoyed the album overall.
Not my favourite album from them, but some great tracks on it
That was a struggle
First 2/3 of this album are just superb. Very tempted to give it the 5, but i won't!
A bit too much noise gong on!
A couple of good tracks. Certainly not something I would listed to on a regular basis. Plenty of forgettable ones too.
Vibes of Elton's Honky Chateau through a lot of this. Enjoyable Listen. 3.5 really
Wanted to like this. Strong Trent Reznor vibes but just not a good album.
He's a little bland but at the same time, the music isn't too bad.
Some great drumming surrounded by noise
It was fine, with some good hits but will never play it again!
Such a great album. I liked one or two songs off earlier albums, but this was album was terrific
Crap Punk. I know it's the style but i hate the production of this early punk stuff.
By the end of the album, I got pretty bored of the singer shout Wow every 20 seconds.
A bit unforgettable
A touch boring. I was expecting a bit more from them.
Just not my bad. The chap has a good voice but it's not for me.
Kind of a 3.5 stars for me, but it's a good listen
I really like this album, not their best in my opinion but certainly an iconic one with that album cover.
Lovely voice, but fairly boring album. Lots of songs sound very similar
I absolutely love this album. One of the first albums that really caught my attention as a teenager. It is such a fantastic listen.
A really good listen, but just not good enough for me to give it 4 stars
That voice hurt my ears
Really want to like this album, but it's not grabbing me.
Really enjoyed listening to this album, but not quite a 4 for me.
A well put together album that sounds very much of it's time. Thankfully the Beatles progressed and drove music forward from the early pop/rock sound.
A fantastic album. U2 dreamed it all up again and have another album on par with the Joshua Tree
I don't get the appeal of Joy Division. I know they were trend setters, but nothing much stands out at all.
A "nice" album. Each song on their own is really nice, feel good music, but a whole album of the same type is a bit draining
A classic, but get boring quickly.
That was crap...
Fantastic Album from start to finish!
Just not my bag
I quite liked this. Surprised myself! I think what adds to be liking it more is the fact that I know the Ryan Adam cover album version pretty well.
Just not a Morrissey fan
It was fine, just not my bag. Some catchy rhythmical sections
Rock is my bag, but this is not. Very forgettable!
Not my jam
Some great tracks, but not one of their great albums
Nice coffee shop music
Some great tracks on this. Particularly enjoyed Disc 1.
Not bad, just a little dull for me. Not a fan of his voice though which doesn't help
An excellent album, not giving it the full 5 as a rarely stick this one on so I guess it doesn't draw me back in regularly the way any album I'm going to rate 5 starts should.
I dont know what it is, but i just dont really like them. His voice or the music works for me at all.
Hard to really know what to give this album. A really well produced album with some great tracks, but the remaining tracks are a snooze fest of middle of the road soft rock. 3.5 out of 5 for me, but will bump to 4 cause of Hotel California
Other than Tainted Love, wasn't too much that I liked from this
Great opening track but it's a little samey.
An excellent album from my childhood. Not quite top drawer but still an excellent listen.
Better than I remember, but just not that big a fan of Morrisey
Kind of a 3.5/5 for me. Some great tracks, pretty self indulgent at the same time
That was fun, but grew tiresome by the end
Good music, can't say i really like his voice all that much.
3.5
Boring Rock Music zzzzzz
Decent, but got a little bored of it
Not a fan of early punk
Pretty Boring Album
Found this to be a pretty boring album unfortunately
A bit off the wall but i really just can't stand his voice so it was a struggle!
Just not for me
Really enjoyed that, but too long
I don't mind Electronica, but this ain't great
Some fantastic tracks on this
Enjoyable Listen
Excellent album, but they have better for me.
Not my bag
Boring American Country Music
Iconic album of my College years. Some amazing tracks on this but not quite a 5 star album for me.
It's piss poor. Experimental...yes, a good album?....absolutely not.
Nice i guess, but a little boring
Could not get into that at all
There are some catchy pop songs in here along with Dirty Diana (my favourite MJ song), but the everything else is garbage. Scrapes a 3.
I just didn't like it, really thought i would.
Very Country
Some absolute classic tracks on this but the other songs really aren't great and drag the album back down to average for me.
Fairly forgettable "harmless" tracks
There are some classic tracks on this album but overall i think it has aged pretty poorly. Quite a few long, but repetitive tracks in here that i had forgotten about.
Not my bag at all...
Not a fan of his, but this wasn't bad.
Never listened to them before, that was class!
Some interesting tracks but not enough quality overall for me.
I enjoyed it at the start, but found it pretty repetitive by the end
Snozefest
Not into drum n bass bit it wasn't too bad...
I enjoyed listening to that. Nice change of pace
It was fine but definitely don't want to listen to it again
I really could not get into this. Sounds awful to my ears
Fairly dull
Not sure what to make of it...
Enjoyable music, but I think I'd get pretty sick of the middle of the roadless after a few listens.
Thought i would like this more than i did. I think it's more the production but it just grated on me by the time the album was over.
Not bad, but just not for me
I love their 70s stuff, but were very hit and miss in the 60s for me.
I enjoyed this but not quite a 4 for me.
This is a weird one for me. I really like them as a band, but the album is far too long. Probably would have been a solid 45m min album.
Some many great tracks! Super Album!
So many great tracks, but not an album i listen through in its entirety very often.
Went a bit OTT on the autotune!
3.5
Just not my bag
Enjoyed it but grew a little weary by the end. Long album!
I really wanted to like this, but i just found it all a bit much
A generous 2. Just too noisy, not my bag at all. I'm learning anything heavier than Metallica is inaccessible for me
Could have been great, but songs are far too long without enough structure for my tastes
Not a fan of his voice, his music is fine
Quite unusual sounding but i quite liked it.
Will never listen to this again & i quite like Nick Cave
Fairly generic Rock, like a lower league AC/DC, but still thought it was all right
I was all set to give this a 4 as an album i loved as a teenager. Unfortunately, I dont think it holds up well enough now.
Some absolutely terrific tracks! Probably let down slightly by being a bit too long. Splitting hairs, i know!
Some great tracks, just not enough for a 4
Not my bag
Too much shouting to even want to listen to the songs. It's a no from me!
The remix of Brimful of Asha really made me have high hopes for this, but ultimately it was a bit of a snooze fest.
Some great tracks, but not enough to get a 4 from me
I enjoyed it for a bit before getting pretty bored of the sound
Kind of a 3.5 for me. Dilemma!
Two albums in a row for me that are in between a 2 and a 3. Nothing necessarily wrong, just a bit forgettable.
Enjoyed it for a bit then grew tired of it
No disco? No problem!
Kind of feel likes a budget REM album
A 3.5 for me
Not quite a 4 despite some great tracks
Solid country album. I just don't like them!
Not mad about the early hip hop
The music is really good, sometimes quite sombre though. However, the vibrato on most of the vocals is way over the top and grates rather than adding to the music.
Not listened to it in years but still a very enjoyable album. Probably not as many great tracks as I remember but 4 stars for nostalgic purposes!
Some great tracks, some very long, repetitive and forgetful tracks
Thought I would like this more than i did. Still a good album though.
Some nice covers here, but not enough for 4 stars. Super cover of Hurt.
A blast from the past! So overplayed when i was a teen that i still dont really enjoy coming back to listen to it. Pretty sure this is one of the biggest selling albums in Ireland ever for some reason. 3.5 for nostalgia's sake.
Not on Apple Music
Some great tracks on here. Excellent background music rather than an album that absorbs you though.
Sometimes a 3 ,sometimes a 4 for me. Hard to rate.
Not bad, just not my bag
This was a fun album in my college days. Very much throwback and a fad of a band, but it was class in its time. Not sure how well it has aged though but i enjoyed listening to it again for the first time one 20 odd years!
Too much country!
Just far too long

It's a 4.5 for me but will give it the 5 as it was such an impactful album. A 90s classic!
3.5
Some good tracks on this, but a long album
Quite like a lot of his other stuff, but that's not exactly a complaint
I enjoyed that album, some really strong tracks but not enough to get a 4 for me. 3.5, but let's round to 4!
I really think this album has aged better than most 90s classics. Still such a great listen.
Interesting but often too out there for me
I think it's more a 3.5 although some great tracks on this
It’s just bad dance music. Not a massive fan of this type of music in general, but this sounds quite generic to my untrained ears!
A 2.75
Another 2.75
Superb Album, so many songs are excellent. I particularly like the non singles. Bullet the Blue Sky, Red Hill Mining Town, Exit - Fantastic album!
Tracks mostly sound really enjoyable, just ruined by the production for me.
Not sure if there's anything original here, but i really enjoyed it!
3.75 - Thought I would like it more!
3.5
It's a hard one to rate. I really wanted to like this more but it's so noisy without doing much. Still liked it but not as much as I wanted to.
It’s a 3.5 for me
Not one of his best but still has some great tracks. A 3.5
AN enjoyable first listen, need to listen again really to give it a 4.
Very impressed that they get a record deal!
Just not for me
More a 3.5. Some songs are great, but you sort of forget the music is on at times. Sort of like that person at a party who is just nice and quiet
3.5
3.5
Country rock - Not my bag
Probably a 4.5 for me. Some super tracks on this album. A peeling album that I've not listened to a whole let. I think it's more the production and how Robert Plant's voice sounds on this album that just bothers me a little to drop it to a 4...
Just not for me!
3.5
Not my bag at all.
2.5
About 90 mins too much country music for me
3.5
More a 3.5 for me... Hard to really listen to lyrics while working so maybe not given it enough attention for what's supposed to be a classic!
I do not like his voice
3.5
Another 3.5 for me. Was really getting into it until I realised songs just blended into each other.
3.5
Better than the album cover!
Thought I’d give this a 2 but couldn’t make it to the end of the album.
3.5
Wanted to give it a 4 as they perform so well but got a bit fed up by the end of another solo that felt like it didn't add too much.
2.5 just too heavy for me but enjoyed it in parts
A stone cold classic Rock Album!!
2.5 generic 90s alt rock
3.5
3.5
Other than Outro, I enjoyed this.
2.5 - Just not mad about her voice
Surprised how much i enjoyed this
Just the wrong side of miserable for me
3.5
I remember when this album came out and it was U2 getting back to their roots after Zooropa and Pop which were much more experimental, weren’t as successful as they hoped (even if the tour itself was great). Ultimately, with hindsight, this is U2 playing it safe with stadium rock. No risks, some great tracks, particularly in the first half of the album. The last 4 star U2 album.
I enjoyed that, but a little long
I enjoyed this, but not as much as I was expecting to. Another 3.5 star!
2.8
