Catchy album, and I don't question its universal acclaim, but it doesn't resonate with me as much as I wish it did.
Three out of the first five songs are good, but zero out of the next five are good, and in its entirety, a number of the ten songs on the album unlistenable. Two stars.
Fun listen. Cutting edge at the time it was released. Chuck D crushes it. Flava sounds gimmicky at times. It can get repetitive.
Raw, loud, provocative, creepy and intense, this is album is peak Marilyn Manson.
If it's raining, and a nap is necessary, this might be a fit. Rather dull.
You just have to appreciate this album, and its place in music history.
Worst yet. Gah.
silky voice helps me forget that her style isn't quite my taste
It has its moments.
Opener is decent, but not much for me after that.
Not feeling it.
creamy voice over nifty beats
60s folk, acoustic vibe.
It's one of the best rock albums of all time.
It's ok. That is, not great...not bad.
Great rap albums only need a handful of good songs; this falls short.
This album brings a certain air of dignity to my office space.
It's a "no" for me.
It's a strong 3.44 for me, with a round down to 3.
I knew and really liked "Grounds for Divorce," and was very enthusiastic and eager to give the full album a listen. It was a disappointment for me.
The first song was great, but from there it tailed off for me.
Better than expected.
Great vibes, passion and spirit
Just couldn't get into this.
Good; not great, not epic. In line with Aerosmith, overall.
Solid 3.44 rounded down to a 3.
Loud, intense, solid album.
The lead vocals are just too much to take. Really annoying. There are some good moments, but they are tough to get to...through that voice. Damn.
yes, I would like to hear this again.
Its worthy of being in the rotation.
I never understood the adulation surrounding this album, so I gave it another listen for 1k1, and I stand by my original assessment. Weak.
no inspiration found...
It is a pleasure to listen to this tremendous album.
You have to appreciate this album, and its place in music history.
New to me, good listen.
Listening to this album, waiting for something that never happens. Letdown.
I think "Wane" would be a better name for this band. Blah.
Worth another listen.
melancholy..but powerful and good. 3 or 4 standout songs. = 3.4444
2.55 with a round up to 3 based on his legendary status.
Disappointing and not good.
I wanted to like it. The first song is alright, but the greatest country song ever?? Just not feeling it.
Expected and needed more.
a star for every song that I'd like to hear again
Not the worst but 1.49 (round up to 2)
Couldn't vibe with it.
Interesting and cool. Looking forward to another go around.
It's a no for me
waiting to be grabbed
