Uggh, I like my far share of old-school rap/hip hop. But this, no thanks. Reminds me of old Will Smith. I hate Will Smith.

I could barely get through half of it and I didn’t enjoy any of that. So dumb.
This is a shit ride. A very lame, cheesy, non-vital hip-hop excursion. Oh Shit is the kind of song that rhymes Oh Shit with Oh Shit and there are some occasional ok jazzy samples later on but overall this is massive disappoint. So bad it makes me want to commit Pharoah-cide.
The album title should have been "Oh Shit," so listeners would know exactly what to expect. It felt like a waste of time with pointless skits, and I became tired of hearing the record scratching sound effect. I'm just glad that I won't have to listen to this shit again.

Didn’t like it at all so it was heading to a 2 star but then the skits were just so annoying (why do people add these things to albums ?!?!) that I took away a star for them.

Why is this here? Misogyny and homophobia seem to be par for the course in a lot of these 90s records. They haven’t aged well, sure, but the question probably should be why they were ever “acceptable”
A tiny bit of jazz underneath some of these tracks but definitely not for me. Some good beats but unfortunately not a fan.

Album 384 of 1001 The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde Rating : 1 / 5 I may have liked this when I was 13, if this genre was the thing. Now, not so much. Pretty much nonsensical and juvenile, hip hop.
Okay, I guess, if you have a cut down Honda Civic with dark tinted windows and a back seat full of speakers. For normal people, not so much.

Never heard of They Pharcyde before. Two tracks in I knew this album wasn't for me. Shortly after that, I knew that I didn't have to finish listening to this album in order to give a complete review. Nope. Please give me my time back.

This album has a really cool beat to it, very reminiscent of the early 90s hip hop. I honestly hadn't heard of this album until it came up on this list. That being said, lyrically I was offended as a woman and I won't be listening again.
I enjoyed hearing something very different! Jazz rap is a unique and creative combination. How they used certain jazz elements in rap songs? Very cool! But there weren't any songs I really liked, I'm sorry to say.

Do. They. Have. To. Always. Be. So. Very. Loooooooooooong?? This was too long. Just too long. Also, I like to think I'm a guy who has a fair amount of experience listening to music that's intentionally chaotic. And there are chaotic albums that I 100% listen to for pleasure. But there were moments on this record where it just felt like I was in a room with six or seven people and they were all talking at once about 6 or 7 different things and one of them had a drum machine and another had some LPs and all of it was going on all at once and all I wanted to do was just get the hell out of that room. So it was all too much for me today. I'm not saying I didn't appreciate the "Oh Shit" song or the one about your momma. I'm human, after all. But I was mostly annoyed by this one.
For me, it is most decidedly not jiggaboo time.
Musically, I really liked this. But then they had to open their mouths and ruin it all. Using the N word just to sound edgy just makes you a poser.

Maybe it is just of its time - I did not get much from this one. It is broadly gentler and more playful than a fair amount of the hip-hop of that time, but it does not get anywhere near the heights of Del Tha Funkee Homo Sapien, or De La Soul. Not very bizarre at all.
