Low by David Bowie

On 170/1089, I got my second Bowie album (first one 23, Young Americans)! This was my second listen to Low This album is really different from the others that I have heard from Bowie, it is really relaxing, an escape with lots of instrumentals going on. It's just so fascinating how much different music this man was capable off 5/5 Standout track: speed of life

(After the intro) This must be the intro right ... right??? Yeah that wasn't just the intro ... my gosh 1/5, the jazz was nice but Tom Waits wasn't it

Red rain is good Like slegdehammer Don’t give up is awesome, good duet with Kate Bush Generally, a good album but songs feel a bit overstretched sometimes

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos

Holy guitaronie The guitars are amazing, but the album is a bit too long and doesn’t work as an album for me

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Sep 05 2025

This album is my favourite solo album from the Beatles. The lyrics are amazing, George’s vocals are top notch and the instruments are brilliant. However, the last 4-5 songs seem a bit stretched to me. My favourite songs are the title track, Art of Dying and I’d have you anytime.

Back In Black by AC/DC

The Day That Music Died. I can see how this album is important for music and a significant release. In August 2026, nearly 70 years after its release, it doesn't hold up as well. These are 12 songs that I vibe with, but not songs that I would put on every day. Being aware of it is import though. 3/5, shame we couldn't see how he would have turned out.

As Paul McCartney said, you can't both sing and play the trumpet at the same time I liked the first side/song/whatever more than the second, nice for on the background but that's about it.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Jan 13 2026

Respect the fact that he went through vinyl records and created nearly this entire record from those samples. However, after a song or two I was checking if I wasn't shuffling the album accidentally because of how random it felt. 2/5 for the effort

Man that live song is so energetic The album is such a rollercoaster 4.5/5

Amazing intro with hello Really like the album until about "Million Years Ago", that's where the tracks become a bit too much for me 4/5 Standouts: Hello, I Miss You, Water Under the Bridge No's (2.5s): Remedy, All I Ask and Sweetest Devotion

Jan 29 2026

Man what a vibe! Standouts: Feel It (Don't Fight It), Medley, Somebody Have Mercy 4.5/5, really suprised me

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Feb 01 2026
Parklife by Blur
Feb 03 2026

WOW! I remember a few years ago listening to Blur via their self titled album because I was in my grungephase and really liked Song 2... not knowing that it was them mocking grunge. Because of that dissapointment, I didn't really listen to them for a few years. Until today ... this album is incredible! Britpop at its best! Best tracks: Girls&Boys, End of a Century, Bank Holiday 4.5/5

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Feb 04 2026

0/5. Not supporting his inclusion The album is a 6/10, but I am a bit biased with rating it due to current events. If he got his shit back together (which I hope he can), might even be a 7-8/10.

Moon Safari by Air

Time Out Of Mind by Bob Dylan
Mar 29 2026

On 209, I was wondering when a Bob Dylan album would pop up. He has plenty on the list right? He is one of the artists that is considered by broader media as an exceptional artist, but I haven't really listened to his stuff before. The stuff that I did hear, was awesome. Only complete album that I listened to was the Blood on the Tracks-cd from my dad, that I really enjoyed. Anyways, I don't think this was the best introduction to Dylan I could've had. I will revisit it when I have listened to, idk, other albums from him. For now this is just disappointing and for that I'm giving it 1/5

2112 by Rush

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Apr 01 2026
Nevermind by Nirvana
Apr 06 2026

Yesterday Unplugged, today Nevermind! Two of the easiest 5s I have given so far https://youtu.be/EtapU5nI6G4?is=-twv-QGD87AXBDtk the fact that this sounds so good just shows how brilliant these three were. Best tracks: Smells Like Teen Spirit (duh), Come As You Are, Lithium, Something in the Way (and also Breed)

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Apr 11 2026

We all know why this is on the list. Not for its brilliant music or whatever, but for the fact that its the first album from the first BIG rockstar. I'm not really a fan of it, thas a nice groovy vibe to it but deffo not an album album, Blue Suede Shoes is the big standout track, the rest would be found playing on the background. 3/5

The White Album by Beatles
Apr 14 2026

Spinning from The Beatles collection boxset that used to be from grandpa. It even is numbered, nr. 754642! This album is chaotic, all over the place, but produces some peak Beatles. With the 3-4 exceptions (which can happen on a 30 song album), its perfection. Best tracks: Back to the USSR, Dear Prudence, While my guitar gently weeps, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Martha My Dear, Blackbird, Julia, I will, mother nature’s song, sexy sadie, yer blues, helter skelter, long long long, revolution (YES BOTH), honey pie, savoy truffle Number Nine/5

Imagine by John Lennon

Sister by Sonic Youth
Apr 27 2026
Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
May 10 2026
In Rainbows by Radiohead
May 11 2026

One of my favourite albums of all time. The aggressive intro of 15 Step that punches into your soul, the bit too catchy Bodysnatchers, the heavenly Nude, a song about weird fishes that's still good as fuck, All I Need is songs like All I Need, following three songs that are very pleasant for the ear, an amazing buildup with Jigsaw Falling into Place and a scenic outro that will probably be played on my funeral, Videotape. I'd also suggest listening to the second disk DIRECTLY after this, the outro of Videotape blends in perfectly into MK1 This is one for the good days, 5/5 The album art is simply beautiful, the booklet that comes with the CD is just simply too beautiful. I think the cover would've been even more perfect if they removed the text so we can appreciate the cover more. After Kid A my favourite Radiohead album (cover)

Cool music to drive on Kyalami, vibes couldn’t understand a word but still vibes

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Jul 19 2026

Fast, aggressive, Kurt Cobain probably got inspired by it This is how I imagine punk rock sounds like

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Jul 24 2026

Recorded in the church cool, really poetic

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Jul 26 2026

I'm sorry, but this country country just isn't for me. Didn't even realise that the autoplayer took over... 2/5, why is this on the list

Jul 27 2026

I just couldn't, normally I like dance/electronic, but this was just impossible to cut through. One song fine, album of an hour not fine. 1/5

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Jul 28 2026

Their vocal styles are so different yet their voices complement each other so much. Bare minimum instrumentation with the most being done with the voices, incredible. It also has California Dreaming and Cass Elliot is one of the biggest tragedies in music, what a voice and what a loss 5/5, 10/10, whatever rating system you use this is deserves the highest rating

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Aug 01 2026

Listening this at night, I will not be able to sleep anytime soon wtf is narayan?? this goes on for wayyyyyy too long. had to listen to fatboy slim a few days ago who also went on and on and on. why don't they get that after 10 times the point came across? 2/5

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Aug 02 2026

This is exactly why I started this project. Never expected to like a Madonna album so much, its so good! Power of product, her voice really blends in with it. Really dreamy lyrics (here and there a bit too cheesy). Also listening this on World Pride 2026, coincidence? 4.5/5

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Aug 06 2026

Side a is a 2/5, the audio doesn't really hold up nowadays and I thought I died everytime I heard the horns, best track let the good times roll Side b is a 4.5/5 for me, really shows his greatness. The backing vocals really added something too overall a 4/5, I really dig that second side and added all of the songs of it to my playlist

Closer by Joy Division
Aug 07 2026

Very dark, I don't fully understand it to be honest, the story is tragic, the lyrics that I grasped were so dark. That being said I don't really like the vocals, the other instruments are a bit eh and don't really pull me. The only track I saved was Decades. 3/5 overall

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Aug 11 2026

I mean, everything has been said about this album hasn't it? From their album I will say this is the one that sounds the most unique. From the cow bell on Drive My Car to the sitar on Norwegian Wood. It also has In My Life which makes this album a 5 already. The harmonies on both Help! and Rubber Soul are amazing. These boys were just so talented.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Aug 12 2026

Very interesting, very loud, appreciated the quieter pieces, really liked Hurt ofc I really wonder how Johnny Cash figured out about this song lmao
