Reviews (page 14 of 14)

2.5. I do really like some of the tracks, I use to love 'break on through' as a kid. But the album as a whole has so many forgettable tracks between the popular ones. And even the famous ones drag on and on with winding aimless solos for 7+ minutes

A couple of very good songs, but haven't carried through the years.

Doesn't really do anything for me!

It was ok. Light my fire was the best song. A lot of it dragged and was repetative⁸

Here's another album that I never really got into. It's got some interesting grooves, and the lyrics are pretty interesting as well, but it's a bit too trippy for my taste. I'm not feeling very generous today either, so 2 stars.

I quite like the first song, the rest of it got on my tits

I liked the second song on the album. Pretty chill but I kind of tuned it out.

Boringly familiar

.25 - I knew that I disliked the Doors, but having listened to a full album I now know that I really fucking hate the Doors.

I hate the Doors. Pretentious crap.

lwk ass

didnt catch my attention at all...it sounds like everything from the late 60s

No es mi estilo y ninguna canción me llamó para nada la atención :(

I'm over The Doors.

This might have been wine once but it's aged to the point it's vinegar

It's cool not really what I usually listen to

Not really for me. Not my kind of music. 2/10. Liked The End only.

I do not like The Doors

-didn’t like

The doors are much like the velvet underground. Always more interesting to read about then to listen to. Morrisons voice was always the least interesting element of this overhyped silliness.

They don’t do it for me

I could not dislike the Doors more if I tried

I'm so sick of these doors

I do not car for the Doors.

Legitimately painful to get through. Two good songs (ironically one of them is called the end- couldnt have come fast enough). Your music’s shiiitteeee it keeps me up all niiiiggghhhtttt… ZERO

Listened to 3/4ths and gave up. Podcast boys make bad honky Tonk album

Them: Jim Morrison is the greatest poet of his generation Jim Morrison: Little girl I'm a cool cat / Look at my new hat This is just to say I really can't stand Jim Morrison.

No, nie. Brzmi meblościanką.

I hate The Doors. Jimbo wasn’t a good poet. Fight me.

Smash Mouth on drugs

I fucking hate The Doors

I really, really, dislike the Doors. The reverence heaped on Jim Morrison is baffling to me - to my ears, his lyrics are pure 6th Form. I tried to give this record a fair listen, and failed. Actually, I didn’t try very hard, and I’m fine with it.

I despise this band. Why is this >2 hours long? No one asked for this.

Not my fave, but want to listen to more

Pub rock band featuring pub philosopher frontman. Pretentious and over-rated.

Not for me. It's hard rating this stuff, because i'd rate it 1 if it's only my rating since in won't listen to it again, and i'd rate it 2 just because its not a thing that I would kill myself if I listened to.

i appreciate, but would u catch me putting this on myself? nah probably not let's be real. fav tracks: Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) Take It as It Comes wtf: I EAT MORE CHICKEN THAN ANY MAN EVER SEEN (back door man)

Hands down the most overrated band of the 60s. Strip away the hyperbole and hormonal sweat surrounding Jim Morrison and you soon spot the emperor has no clothes. Dull.

Wow, never listened to The Doors. And now that I have I can say full heartedly “They suck”. Many of the songs were long winded, and all were such a bore. I did try to listen to it a second time, just in case I was just in the wrong mood for my first listen. Nope that shit sucked worse than the first time.

Lots of memories of listening to this in high school. Re-listening, yhere is a LOT of "little girl" and "back door" 0/5

I hate Jim Morrison. Bloated, overrated. Cannot fathom their popularity or his saint-like status.

A strong argument for sobriety.

I just don't get it.

I really hate this on so many levels! It's the platonic ideal of annoying 60s rock and it's the most annoying because it's so organ driven. Jim Morrison and the deification of him has always always grated for me. Especially the ones that subscribe to the theories that he was still alive for a time. He very clearly was desperate to die from doing drugs based on this album, of course he is dead.

This is the end … of me listening to Jim Morrison

I fucking hate The Doors.

All I can say is that I hope this is the last Doors album out of the 1,001.

Not a fan.

I know why this is on here but... Just say no to Jim Morrison.

I dislike this quite a lot. I especially don't like Jim Morrison's voice. It's not bad, or out of tune, just one that I find displeasing. Maybe the rest wouldn't be quite so bad without Morrison. Ok no, "The End" would be just as interminable.

I am officially not a fan of The Doors.

Controversial opinion I’m sure but this is just over rated rubbish

Man I simply do not get The Doors. Just listen to Craigslist by Weird Al and you’ll get to experience their sound but also have fun.

Not a fan

God this is ponderous and stale.

I don't like the singers voice.

Not my style of music. This is the equivalent of elevator music for whatever genre this is. I was quite unenthused. Next.

Dated and Overrated

I ALREADY RATED THIS YOU IDIOTS

Creepy incel

heard it much too many times, involuntarily. Not a fan.

Overdone and overrated.

Didn't like The Doors before I listened to this all the way through... Don't like them now. Maybe 3 good songs across their whole catalogue.

I don't like the Doors.

did a bunch of boomers make this list of albums im tired

Dumb and bad and dumb.

Ett riktigt pissalbum. Alla låtar låter likadant och tråkigt.

Someone called The Doors circus music and it’s spot on. Jim Morrison might be a brilliant lyricist - I don’t know because I’ll too bored.

I've had enough of Jim Morrison for a lifetime

Sounds alt for sure, lyrics don't come through easily. Lots of guitar blocking and a kind of driving ticky percussion. Kind of droning and drifting along in the middle of the album. A little too abstract or lacking strong melody for me.
