Start of journey / first out of 1001
quite boring. I guess you need to be in the right mood.
No Lyrics, pure music. Funky 😌
I am not an actual Michael Jackson fan, but this record is surprisingly groovy. I like it.
Not quite as good as dookie, but still a great album
I am humming the songs even before listening to the album.
Not my kind of music.
Somewhere between boring and annoying. I don't like it
Listened to the first 4 songs and didn't realised, that it was more than one ... Sounded somewhat replaceable and monotonous. Boring and kind of annoying to me. This album makes me regret giving a 2/5 to oher albums.
I was surprisingly disappointed. I thought me to like Bob Dylan, but somehow one song sounds like the other. Sadly a 2/5 for me... barely
5/5... nothing less
The 2nd PJ Harvey Album and again not my thing. Though the music is overall Not bad, i just can't stand her voice.
I liked it right from the beginning. Didn't realize it was Clapton until Layla started and i read the Wikipedia entry.
Starring with "Break in through to the otherside"... Closing with "the end" ... Inbetween... The Doors. And now remember that this was only the debut... What more is there to say? 5/5
To ne this is still the best RHCP Album. Those afterwards are still great in their own regard, but nothing beats blood sugar sex magic...
80s Sound. I can see its significance at that time. Today, from a european perspective, it is so out of date with all its hate, swearing and stereotypical black/white gangsta crap. Nevertheless a nice retro listening
Starting out quite boring. It gets better with "all of the lights" and is really good with "Monster". However i liked the guest artists more than Kanye Wests performance. All in all great production with some great songs but (to me) far from a great album. Mind you, i'm usually not much into Hip Hop, allthough i liked n.w.a. a couple of days back.
This is the third album from PJ Harvey dir me in this project. I read about PJ Harvey getting nominated for this award2and winning that award and selling oh so many records... I still don't get it. While i could get used to the music at a good day, in can't geht used to her voice. You know the feeling that you get, when you get to the dentist and hear the humming in the other room and all you can think of is how you want to be another place far away? Thats' how i feel about the voice of PJ Harvey. She starts singing and it's like a needle piercing right into my ears... You get it...
I was pleasantly surprised, by how much i enjoyed this album. Usually not my kind of music, i ended up nodding my head the whole time.
Funny, that i got this album, the day, Korn was playing in my City.
OK, Cindy Lauper. I do know "Girls wanna have fun". I was at the age of 4 when this album got out. First song was okay. Your general 80s music. But as the album went on, i was surprised about how many songs i actually knew. Somehow the music an the voice got into my heart and struck a solid 4.5 for me.
This is the third PJ Harvey album ob this list. I really tried to listen to it without prejudice, since i didn't like the other two. I still can't stand her voice nor her "singing" style. In the other albums at least i liked the band. This time i didn't. This was actually one of the worst albums for me on this list. I wish i could abstain from rating even a single star. There ist not even one song on this album, that i even remotely "liked".
Can't find the Album. Neither in Spotify, nor in Amazon Music
I don't get it. Just noise, but not in the nice way. I didn't find any music in it, so i don't know, how this could be an album you have to listen to. On the plus side, there is no PJ Harvey whining. Actually no singing at all.
While i do like the instrumentals, i really can't stand this voice!
