stooped at "just go away". annoying and abbaesque...
Outside of two wildly overplayed songs, not much to enjoy on this album. Unremarkable and generic, and honestly a bit grating to listen to. Wouldn't recommend
Grating, boring, and influential for all the wrong reasons.
I don’t care for it. 1
Not a fan. Like at all. Old timey beepbop music, if thats a thing.
Never liked blondie, just run of the mill pop.
Didn’t really like it
Did the band record their stuff first, then hand it over to the singer? Raw and unrefined noise. Not for me.
Fuck Blondie. One hit wonder. I don't even like that one hit. The only good thing about Blondie. They were supposedly the first band to introduced rap into the music industry.
Didn’t like it .
nice poppy sound for that era
so bored
Harto de bodrios.
...I have always hated Blondie. As a kid when they were at their "peak" it was an immediate jab at dad's radio presets in the station wagon when they'd come on. So admittedly I've never sat through an album...sigh...ok let's do this. Yeah still don't like the singles at all, not even for nostalgia. Nor do I like the album cuts. Well. <wipes hands on pants> That wraps this one up. 2/10 1 star. *(some detail for only my future-self to laugh at. I'm not exactly sure why this band elicits such anger in me - I don't love Debbie's voice sure but it's more (or less) than that - there are too many acts from that 70s-NYC scene that I dislike... that punky vibe is it really that different from something like ~The Cars (whose first album is unassailable to me)? Might also be partially the mix/production; this dry mix gives me some B52s vibes which are bad bad vibes. Ahh who tf is this review for other than me - I hated this group in 1980 and still really really don't like this band and really don't like this record. My 8 yr old self was right. OWNING IT.)
really hope that I some day forget that I listened to this decent drummer
Not for me. I don't find this groovy. Sounds troll.
Discilo
Nao rolou para mim. Achei ruim
Again. It's fine... But not really my jam.
I can see why it was recommended but it’s not my cup of tea. Had a few good songs that I decently liked but nothing amazing.
nah
Little not to like here. Blondie displays a great homage to the rock acts that came prior (Patti Smith for sure), but there's the gentle push toward new wave, or at least an 80's pop rock sound -- almost dabbling in punk territory. Interesting guitar work, great vocal performances, lyrics have a deceptive depth. Fade Away offers a dark, somewhat unsettling vibe that I wish was present more, somewhat continued by I Don't Know and Will Anything Happen (the latter of which is probably my favorite on the record). One can only dream of being able to listen to this album outside of time, as certain Swiffer commercials render a certain song laughable... but that's just my being a product of my generation. Overall a great balance of radio friendliness and original intrigue.
