This isn't my favorite Radiohead album, so I never really went back to give it a second try. Glad I had this opportunity to do so, since I've rediscovered a few tracks I've really enjoyed. Writing down Nude, Faust Arp and Videotape.
Love radiohead
Never listened to this before and really enjoyed the mixture of instruments and the variety of tracks. Really well done and very good to listen to in all moods
A very slow, lo-fi rock album leaning to electronic. Kind of nice to have in the background whilst doing work. Will need a few listens to get into, I think it will be one that grows on me. Best: Nude, Jigsaw Falling into Place Worst: All I Need, Faust Arp
I think this must be my favorite Radiohead album. The whole thing works and flows beautifully, and it has my two favorite songs ("Bodysnatchers" and "Reckoner") - plus "Videotape" is such an amazing and haunting song to end on.
Great album - i have really enjoyed listening to the evolution of this band since 1994.

I don't know why I've never listened to much radio head. Maybe ok computer was a bit slow and electronic for me. Damn this was a good album, excellent from start to finish. A rare 5 stars
This blew my mind
Hard pass! I know it’s Radiohead and all that. Indeed this why I bought it when it was released (on cd). Revisiting it again now I find it just as unlistenable. Were they completely stoned when they made this album? Were they just bored of everything? Is it possible they were both? Last track is passable, maybe that’s when then woke up. Sorry diehard Radioheads.
I like Radiohead just fine. It's rare that I go out and seek out their records, and if I do, I'm going to pick up The Bends. Really most of their output, for me, personally, can be filed as background music for reading a book, and I don't feel like this record is any different. 3.5*

I enjoyed this one! More uptempo than I remembered but slow songs are good too. Had it on in the background while reading so didn’t pick any tracks out
...the one where a hugely popular experimental band finally free of their record deal releases their first independent album by letting fans pay what they want then leads it off with a song in 5/4 time... Big thumbs-up here. :) In Rainbows is probably not the easiest intro to Radiohead (probably the best way to try to ease into the band is to go chronologically (but skip their debut Pablo Honey)) but if you want an accessible-ish great start, go with "All I Need" which is as normal as it gets here, and is still a great song. But Radiohead is not a singles band, meaning it's impossible to "get" or (for me) truly enjoy the band by listening to one song - in many ways they harken back to earlier days by truly being an "album band" - you need to digest this in its entirety to get the full breadth and scope. A song like "House Of Cards" is gorgeous in its layered melodies but it alone doesn't touch upon the organized chaos that the band brings so well in another track like "Bodysnatchers." All in all though, one of my favourite collections from the band and nearly as good as it gets - unlike some of their bigger albums (looking at you OK Computer) this one doesn't peter off at the end and stays strong through the final song "Videotape." Like most of their albums, this one also truly gets better upon repeated listens. Also a perfectly-digestible 43 minutes long (just because CDs ushered in an era where you could jam 72 minutes into an album didn't mean you should...). 8/10 4 stars

Not my cup of tea, though I appreciate the artistry behind it. Haven't heard much else from Radiohead, but I prefer Kid A. This album was a grower for me, so this album might just need some replays for it to click with me.

A few good songs but nothing overly amazing
This rock/pop album by Radiohead was fun to listen to! It's music is more comforting & warm than other Radiohead albums and you can tell the band enjoyed recording the songs.
Radiohead is one of the bands I've always wanted to love but still haven't quite embraced to their fullest. Their originality, musicality, expressiveness, talent, the undeniable influence on so many others; it's all there. I don't really understand why I haven't connected more strongly with this band. Kind of a "perfect match on paper but for some reason, no chemistry" story for me. Giving 5 stars to show the respect they deserve.

Needed more rainbows to bring any kind of vibrancy to this one. False advertising cover art. Started quite positively but then quickly descended into the same old dreary Radiohead for me. I just can't get on-board with Thom Yorke's vocals. Best track: Bodysnatchers

First time I’ve given this a go, really enjoyed it, a mix of up tempo and slow traditional Radiohead sounding tracks. Can imagine it’s good to drive too on a late night.

Nunca entendí el mame por Radiohead, solo escuchaba algunas canciones (incluida Creep porque basic). De este álbum conocía solo “House of cards” que sí me gustaba bien. La verdad debo admitir que este disco me pareció bastante ok, a mi lista de canciones de Radiohead que aguanto ahora agrego “Bodysnatchers” y “Reckoner”. Aunque no sé bien cómo evaluarlos, voy a ser benévola porque cuando vi que tocaba un disco de ellos sentí mucha hueva pero escucharlos fue una bonita sorpresa.

A generous 2 here, difficult to score as it’s hard to hear the tunes over the sound of Thom Yorke sniffing his own rose scented flatulence while peddling the latest incarnation of the musical equivalent of the emperors new clothes.
There's just something about this album. I absolutely loved it. Probably my favourite so far.

I never took to this on release originally and I think I’ve skipped an album which based on three listens yesterday is right up there in terms of Radiohead’s releases - wonderful stuff

Listening conditions - home theatre, without distraction. Albums First Rodeo? - No way Stand out tracks 15 Step - wonderful guitar, sick drum and bass style beat - that time signature!!!!! Bodysnatchers - classic Radiohead track. Like something from the early era. Turn it up! All I Need - moody electro and unsettling lyrics carry this track to it’s perfect crescendo. Jigsaw Falling Into Place - I was close to awarding a stand out to the track before, House of Cards for its attempt at a striped back track. Then JFIP hits with the perfect balance of simplicity and production. One of the best tracks outside of the powerhouse duo up front. Videotape - Play is out boys, play us out No misses to note what a phenomenal album.
This album did not let me cold. Firstly when I listened to it I would certainly rate it a 4. Fortunately I kept thinking about it the whole day and suddenly I listened to it two more times. First 5 of this list

Really beautiful album. i wish it had a little more drive/energy at parts, but it's otherwise fantastic and the production is nice. I’ll definitely come back to this. 9/10

Maybe its because it was the day of the England semi-final but I wasn't really feeling this today.
7/10. Hard to judge well because it definitely sounded better when I didn't listen on my car speakers, but I didn't hear much that interested me. Giving it the 7 over the 6 on benefit of the doubt since it did sound nice.
Chido, aunque algunas canciones algo underwhelming, supongo que ese era el punto. En este disco, y como en todo radiohead creo, lo que más me gustó fueron las percusiones, tienen un toque muy energetico, son muy ostentosas, de ahíq ue mis canciones fav fueron: 15 step (esta sí se queda en una de mis playlists), Reckoner y Jigsaw Falling into Place. Mood: Frito y triste.

wow this album flew by. I loved the first song 15 Step but that is because it's the song from Twilight that isn't on the soundtrack so that was a nice surprise. I really enjoyed this album, it played all the way through without me skipping anything so that is a plus. It felt very easy to listen to but I still liked some of the more creative beats in many of the songs. Radiohead is one of those bands that I had heard bits and pieces of but not the albums so I'm glad we are getting a few of them on this list. Great album cover too.
GREAT ALBUM
An interesting album with experimental sounds, fused with rock, electronic ambient sounds and somewhat moody and atmospheric, I enjoyed it.
Some cool stuff but somewhat low-key for my taste right now. I’ll optimistically give it an 8 because I’ll probably listen to it a few more times.

this was one of the first pay what you want albums. I loved it when it came out. It felt a little rawer than most Radiohead stuff. A little bit of hip-hop influence too. Not my favorite or the most important, but a solid album

Con Radiohead tengo una relación bastante cordial, jaja, porque me gustan los discos que he escuchado, aunque no me clavo con ellos. Son pocas ocasiones en las que me dan muchas ganas de escucharlos y bueno, ahora tras reescuchar el In Rainbows con intención de evaluarlo, quiero decir que es un disco sin skips para mí. Hay muchas cosa acá, mezclas, con cuerdas, percusiones, que su rock, que sus sonidos electrónicos, etc. Me gusta todo, desde lo más "rockero", como "Bodysnatchers" o "Jigsaw Falling Into Pieces", hasta lo que son casi baladas, como "Nude" o "Videotape" con su pianito. "Weird Fishes / Arpeggi" me gusta mucho también. Un sonido que pues yo digo que sí ha dejado huella para muchas bandas. También muy padre eso de haberlo lanzado en línea y que pagaras lo que gustaras por él. 9.5/10

I am not normally a Radiohead fan. With the exception of Pablo Honey I have a hard time sitting through one of their songs, let alone a full album. I will say that thought I did sit through this whole album and I I liked it more than I normally do.

Disco más raro y experimental de Radiohead. En su época no lo disfruté tanto. Con el paso del tiempo veo que es mejor de lo que recordaba y que tiene ese algo especial de este grupo.

While not unpleasant, I really, really, really do not *get* Radiohead. They peaked with The Bends, don't @ me. This album gets a bump for being the first album ever sold at a "pay what you want" model. That's is some historical shit.

Another great album from Radio and the Heads! Much brighter than the previous (I think this album is notoriously their most accessible and least depressing), lots of tracks on here that I enjoyed. At this point, when I see Radiohead pop up, I know I’m in for a smooth ride. We’ve had two in about a month, and I can’t complain. Favorite tracks: 15 Step, All I Need, Jigsaw Falling into Place, Reckoner. Album art: Another iconic picture, I see this one a lot. Really love the multicolored text, and I’ve barely even looked through to the explosion behind it, but this one is really fun to look at. 4/5

Jag hade inte hört detta album tidigare. Gillar det verkligen. Lyssnade på det 3ggr och det växer ännu. Jag förväntar mig åtminstone 2 album till på listan av Radiohead. Pablo Honey och OK Computer förtjänar att vara med.
Beautiful, concise, coherent. Classic Radiohead. I don't know this as well as albums 2-6, but it still sounded like coming home to an old friend, like the musical concepts from all the previous albums came together in this one.

Un des meilleurs albums de tous les temps. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi et Reckoner sont des chefs d'oeuvre, mais honnêtement c'est le cas de la moitié des chansons de l'album.
Sounds alt for sure, lyrics don't come through easily. Lots of guitar blocking and a kind of driving ticky percussion.

Pretty solid record. I think I like Radiohead; generally considered one of the best bands of the last couple decades, for a reason
I wanted to hate it. However, even though the music was far from accessible, I sfelt that there is a time and place where it would be a great listen.
Beautiful songs and instrumentation. Everything flows - feels very cohesive. Not even my favourite Radiohead album, but still a masterpiece.

I wasn't expecting this to be good ambience music, but it was. I'm not sure how to feel about that though.

Amazing. A fucking masterpiece of worldclass. The motifs they use in their songs can be described as intriguing, intense and insidious. They perfectly combine dark tones with dark lyrics in their more oppressive songs. They know when to rattle you with some upbeat melodies with harsh vocals and accompanying instruments. I have had a deep respect for Radiohead for experimenting, but damn I don't think I've ever heard this album before.
