I had heard of her but didn’t really know her music. I quite enjoyed it.

First time listening to the full album. Meatloaf has never really been my thing but I did enjoy it.
I still prefer OK Computer but this is a nice album to have on in the background
Similar to Kid A but I like this one a bit better.
I’ve never been a big fan of The Cure but this album is nice musically. A little bit of a downer but still decent.
Decent album.
A classic album.
This type of artist isn’t usually my cup of tea but I am really impressed with her voice.
Well before my time but some good classic music before he was over the top.
I knew of them but wasn’t too familiar with their music. I was impressed and found the variety of styles on the album a treat.
I wasn’t too familiar with this album other than the main single but as a fan of Tori Amos I can see how Kate Bush was an influence. I enjoyed the listen.
Great album but the one drawback is that at times some songs sound too similar. Love One and Harvester of Sorrow.
I wasn’t familiar with the Thrills at all but was pleasantly surprised. A nice pop rock album.
A unique sound.
A great album. While I enjoy Clarence Clemons and the horns I find it a bit too horn heavy…that is all keeping it back from a 5 star.
Solid album.
A solid album from a music legend.
While his voice is rather unique the songwriting is fantastic. A true Canadian national treasure.
I didn’t know a whole lot about them but quite enjoyed the album. It was a nice combination of pop and experimental music
Good album. Probably would normally rate it a 3 but it’s importance to hip-hop history jumps it up to a 4
A good album but I find it a bit overrated. I don’t feel the whole album is as strong as others.
A great debut album from a songwriting legend. A couple of duds but all in all an impressive album.
Not an artist I was familiar with (other than the name) but it was a nice pop record.
I always enjoy Beck albums. They keep you on your toes with the varying styles.
Initially, I didn’t like it as much as other Elvis Costello albums but the more I listened the more I liked it.
Good album. I’m not a huge Rolling Stones fan so this almost slipped to a 3 but there were enough impressive songs to push it to 4
Awesome album start to finish.
Good album but I found the songs sounded similar in many cases dropping it to a 3
A classic.
Not their best album but a well balanced album you can listen to from start to finish. A rare feat in albums made in the 2000’s.
I can listen to this start to finish any day.
Exceptional songwriter
Solid album despite it not being my genre
A classic I frequently have in my rotation.
Groundbreaking and influential album.
Fun album
Never heard this one before but I really enjoyed the Afro-jazz vibe.
Not often all songs are all so memorable even to this day.
This one is a bit all over the map.
Eclectically good.
Some very good tracks but a few duds hold it back from a 5 star review. Also hard to give a 5 and separate the toxic personality from the talent.
Strong album
A solid album.
A big fan of later PJ Harvey albums. I wasn’t as familiar with this one but it was a great listen.
Makes a mockery of the genre despite how well it did commercially. Cringy.
Classic
Solid album. Not quite memorable enough start to finish to earn the full 5 stars.
I had never even heard of the artist. A nice experimental instrumental album.
Sounds like Toy Story years before he did Toy Story.
Really enjoy this band. I saw them years ago at a music festival and was hooked.
Still listen to this one frequently. An eclectic mix of songs and sounds.
Solid pop rock album that flows nicely.
A good album but a bit too arty for my liking.
Good album but not great.
Prince is an exceptional musician and while I appreciated the music the lyrics kept me from giving it a 5.
I hadn’t realized how much of this album I knew.
Walk On is one of my favourite Neil Young songs.
I appreciate the music but have never really been onboard with the screaming type of singing. That keeps it at a 3 for me.
Not my favourite Neil album but it is solid.
I’ve always enjoyed Beyoncé despite pop not really being my go to. I enjoyed this album but not enough of the songs were memorable enough to merit a 5 star.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy this album.
Definitely one of the best Unplugged albums ever. A great mix of hits and interesting covers
I wasn’t familiar with her but I really enjoyed the album.
Nice soulful album
Always loved this album. Met them backstage at a Festival too which bumps it up a bit.
Enjoyable album
I appreciate the musicianship but the vocals knock this one down to a 3 star.
Okay album. Nothing really stood out from it though.
Not typically my style (more my parents) but I knew more songs than I thought and enjoyed it.
Not a favourite by any means. I get the experimental part of it but it doesn’t do anything for me.
A great album and a great live show.
Good album start to finish. Not an album I knew much about but was impressed.
Another album I wasn’t too familiar with but really enjoyed.
An interesting album but only middle of the road for me.
Gritty debut album that really rocks.
An enjoyable album from start to finish.
Good pop album
Classic…not as good as full Wu-Tang albums but still great.
Groundbreaking album I still listen to frequently. There is “something in the way” this sounds….
Not my normal style but I appreciated the songwriting.
Lots of great songs on here. I do find some of the songs start to sound repetitive though which keeps it from a 5.
Anything with Jack White is pure gold.
Boogie-rock classic
Not particularly familiar with this album but I enjoyed it. Nice to see where Steve Albini started.
Enjoyable album
Not my favourite Talking Heads album. It still a great album.
Funky
I see the influence they had on ambient and industrial music.
An enjoyable album that sheds light on his long career.
Classic trendsetter
While I know this is a popular album it doesn’t do much for me. I recognize the musicianship but the album is a let down for me.
Classic with unbelievable musicianship
Elvis Costello albums are always a treat.
Music was fine. Lyrics etc. not my cup of tea.
Aerosmith has always been take it or leave it for me. I like some and don’t particularly like others. This is right in the middle.
Just awesome
Good album. It has been a while since I had listened to it. Forgot how much I liked it.
Seems to me they go out of their way to be truly unusual
I was expecting more…
Definite 90’s vibe but I liked it.
Solid late career album
I enjoy Miles Davis but I found this one only average.
Not bad but I found some of the songs sounded too similar…not enough variety.
Great album but not my top Beatles one.
Unexpected gem
One of the best from the pinnacle of hip hop.
Solid late 90’s spacey album.
Love the storytelling.
Decent but doesn’t take it up a notch.
Drum n Bass stalwart.
Fantastic musical chops.
One of his best.
Was completely unfamiliar with this artist/album but quite enjoyed it.
Typically I prefer Ozzy’s solo stuff over Black Sabbath but I quite enjoy this album.
Average
Not my favourite style of music.
I like Missy’s hip-hop music but a little too many R&B tinged tracks for my taste on this one.
Quite enjoyed this one.
Solid
Overhyped
Not an album I was familiar with but a catchy gem.
Upbeat and fun listen.
Quintessential hardcore punk
Dinnertime classic.
Good quality album before the mega-hits.
Solid album but not their best one in my opinion.
An album ahead of its time.
First album I ever bought with my own money.
Solid
Funky classic
Solid
Enjoyable listen
Too much of the same. A couple of good songs and the rest sounded and felt too similar.
I enjoyed the album more than I thought I would.
Uneven album. Some good ones mixed in with some duds.
A pleasant surprise
Ok but too slow overall
I’d give this a 4.5. Just shy of a 5
A lock as one of my desert island albums.
Not my favourite genre but the album was ok
Funky find
I had heard of her but didn’t really know her music. I quite enjoyed it.
Too much experimental noise add-one for my liking.
Haunting
Canadian gold
I appreciate the male/female vocal mix
Great debut.
Not bad but a bit uneven.
Good album but not enough A list songs to push it to a 5
Better than I expected it to be since I largely just knew one song going in.
Funky
Created a whole new genre. Classic.
Bring on the funk!
Classic voice
I’ve always felt this to be overrated.
Never liked the person but appreciate the artist.
Ska pioneers
Cool in short bursts but the full album drags a bit.
Funk legends
West Coast Classic
I wasn’t familiar with this but quite enjoyed it.
Impressive new find
Great live shows too.
Underrated album. Yankee Foxtrot Hotel and Summerteeth get all the love but this one is up there.
While I appreciate his influence over the years I didn’t find this album particularly noteworthy.
I know this is critically acclaimed but I don’t find it all that great.
So So.
Nice folk rock album.
Some good and some less so.
Not that up on my British rap but this was enjoyable.
Hard rock classic
I’ve always found this overrated. I find the songs very similar. If it wasn’t for Riders On The Storm and Been Down So Long I would have had it even lower.
Gospel and funk marriage
French pop isn’t usually my genre but this album was a pleasant surprise.
Electric
4.5 if I could. Just below the 5
Not bad but some songs too similar for my liking.
Solid Christmas album
I find AC/DC has great songs but listening to albums is a bit of more of the same. Drops it to a 3 because of that.
Fun and poppy
I liked it but not an album I’d play a lot.
Good collaborations and great guitars
Uplifting
Great album and awesome live show.
If I could do half stars it would be a 3.5 but I pushed it up to a 4
Uninspired
A listening adventure
I’ve never been a huge fan. Appreciate the hits but don’t care much for the rest.
Enjoyable. I knew more of the music than I thought.
I appreciate the songwriting/lyricism but not really my style of music.
Interesting album. Not quite enough to push it to a 4
Always a fun listen.
Classic and a trendsetter.
Not bad….not great
Learned about him when he worked on Dead Man Walking soundtrack and worked with Eddie Vedder. Always enjoy his music.
Not only had I not heard this album but I hadn’t even heard of the artist. I was impressed.
One of his more “straightforward” records
Enjoyable but more purposefully weird.
Not super familiar with this one but quite enjoyed it
Good but with the album title I hoped for a more African feel.
If 4.5 was an option this would be it.
Purposely weird but still better than Limp Bizkit.
Closer to a 3.5
Decent
All Beatles albums are enjoyable but only a couple make my 5 star level. This isn’t one of them.
Classic. One of my favourites. A little bit of everything.
I am a big fan of Kick Out The Jams but the rest of the album is only adequate.
Solid album.
Some really great songs on here.
Great for in the car during rush hour.
A fun poppy psychedelic album
Not a favourite
Love Sonic Youth but there are some better albums of theirs out there.
Average
Mediocre. More hype than substance.
Mediocre
The album grew on me as I listened.
Decent but I found songs sounded similar so bumped it down a bit.
Music 4.5, lyrics 3.5. 4 rating.
Great poppy album
It started as a 3 but grew on me as it went on and cracked the 4
Enjoyable but not earth-shattering.
A couple of filler songs kept it from a 5
Hits are fine…others seem like filler.
Very underrated album. Glad it was on this list.
Great indie rock
I thought going in it would probably be a 3. I know they influenced a ton but I was surprised how well the album flowed. Bumped it up to a 4
I like Bowie but I find this album disappointing
Solid
So-so
Almost a 5
Obvious hip hop classic
One of my all time favourites
Appreciate the creativity but not high on my list.
Not my favourite Ray Charles album but still very good.
Hometown perfection
Decent but not an album I would listen to too often.
Really a 3.5 but just tips into a 4
Not his best but a very good album nonetheless
Classic
Definitely an album that is underrated.
I found the lyrics trying. The music is ok
Smooth
Ahead of its time.
Probably closer to 3.5 but some songs push it up to 4
Some good songs but I find them relatively cheesy.
Some good songs but a bit cheesy.
I like the songwriting but the whole package is lacking something.
Eclectic mix of songs
Not my thing.
Good party album
Mediocre
Upbeat and fun
Good album but I wouldn’t likely listen to it frequently. Niche
Just like the last one….good album but not something I’d put-on a lot.
I always forget that I like the Dead more than I think.
A couple of filler tracks keep it from a 5
More upbeat than some others of his.
Mediocre
I had forgotten how good the deep cuts were on this one.
Pleasantly surprised
Could have been a killer album instead of great double album.
