Reviews (page 13 of 13)

What happens when you fail to outgrow your angsty teenager phase. 2 tear drops, but not for the reasons you think. 😢😢

Never heard of Smith, so this was an interesting pick that meant I had no idea what I’d be listening to during my 3 hour drive. This grew on me a bit, but ultimately seemed like a lost opportunity to either make a proper rock album or something properly folky. The drums seemed odd throughout - neither one thing or another (and a strong argument for employing session musicians btw). This is Ok. If something from it came up on a playlist I wouldn’t skip it, but I’m unlikely to go and seek it out.

This is a really great album for anyone suffering from insomnia. What even is this? Just light singing with bland instrumentals. Sometimes I have no idea how some of these albums make it on to this 1001 list. 3/10.

More soy than a Burger King Impossible Whopper. Good voice, but nothing special. Soothing but boring.

Regular

I’ve heard of Elliott Smith though never explored any of the music. I’m sure I know some of the tunes from Good Will Hunting.. Not exactly galvanising music. Pleasant enough to have in the background. It reminds me of candy floss, though – very sweet and then disappears to nothing. One hour later and I remember nothing… but it strikes me that this may be the kind of music that grows on you if you hear it a lot.

I'm calling BS. I like Elliott Smith just fine. XO is a really good album. How are TWO of his other albums on this list? I try not to go down this hole, but seriously. I could barely hear the vocals. I didn't enjoy this album. There a sweet sadness to everything he recorded, but that ain't enough to make this a must-listen. Sorry.

I've listened before, and it didn't do anything for me those times either. 2.49/5

Tried to like it but i cant 2/5

File under “all the songs sound the same” and “nothing special”.

Deadly dull - very disappointing. Apparently he is dearly beloved of Generation Z. They clearly haven't had the benefit of many superlative singer-songwriters (John Martyn, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Roy Harper, Judee Sill, Jackson Browne......)

This was alright until it wasn’t when it got monotonous and whiny. I wouldn’t seek the artist out. A mean 2*

Dreary.

It’s fine, but I didn’t think the songwriting was as interesting as the other album I’ve heard from him. Also his voice annoyed me on quite a few tracks. I did like how some of the songs that started quiet picked up partway through and the drums came in Favorites were Pictures of Me and Say Yes

Not bad, but not great. 2.5

Pretty bland on the whole. Favorite track: Pictures of Me

Low key musically, but dense and often personal lyrically. Not enough pizazz for me.

Woof. This is really a bit of a dog of an album.

Mystically forgettable. Like a really serious academic paper, I tried to focus on it, and my brain instantly wandered off on s shipping trip, I must but some tubs from the hardware store, and I'll grab a coffee. In the coffee shop they're probably playing Elliott Smith, but I can't be sure because it sounds so benign and when I try to listen above the coffee cups and subdued chatter my mind wanders off and I'm listening to the "greatest"albums. I wander what the next over is. What was I doing again?

Not for me, too soft

slow, boring but finished it

It's lo-fi, bare-bones and the most prominent thing is Elliott Smith's whispering song with repetitive guitar pluckings. Maybe it just shows my ignorance but I didn't find this album special at all. It's not bad but it doesn't do anything for me. I guess if I only focus on the lyrics and ignore it the other parts it gets better but the overall experience is mediocre.

Sounds really basic and uninspired - never understood why this guy got any attention. So many superior examples of this type of music are out there, your local bar singer-songwriter can probably do it better. Quite brief, at least

Consistently boring. Would maybe be good as the soundtrack to an introspective indie film with slow pacing about disaffected youth.

I hadn’t heard of Elliot Smith. Not sure why this album’s on the list. Some enjoyable songs, Beatles-like chords in places, but nothing to really pique my interest.

Whiny garbage. Didn’t like this at all but it wasn’t aggressively annoying at least.

I have a healthy disregard for acoustic albums. Shame he's no longer with is though

Where the pace picks up above coffeeshop mumble and strum, there's some nice music on here, but overall didn't change my world.

dont like

Meh. Basic indie alt rock feel to it. Not terrible, not my thing.

Outro indie que soa agradável e só.

I really didn’t care for his voice. Some songs were okay, but for the most part I was bored.

another indie album this one gets recommended all the time by Spotify

this was boring and i don’t care about elliott smith

Low Key laid back indie. Ok, but not more than that

Don't get it, morose. Dull.

One of those artists who never were destined for a long spell on this planet. I'm not a massive fan of his vocals. They seem paper thin and stretched

I know this guy is like some indie singer-songwriter darling, but this is the second album I've had from him and it sounds exactly the same as the last one. There's no perceptible difference, it's just another 36 minutes of exactly the same tone, instrumentation, vocals, and lyrics. It just doesn't do it for me *shrug*.

Neither Nor.

This felt like the singer of smashing pumpkins turned into a singer songwriter. And I don't even know if it makes sense, maybe more like Simon and Garfunkle. Either way, wasn't a fan of this one.

Generic singer songwriter stuff.

The music is very loud and drowns out the singers voice which i want to hear more of. I may give it a second listen, it sounds like something I would enjoy but it didn't immediately get me excited listening to it.

Used to listen to this over and over when I was at uni. Past that phase now.

Mwha, beetje saai. Klonk aanvankelijk wel ok

So uninspiring to me that I put it on for a second time - forgetting I'd already listened to it. Didn't add.

Smith was a heavy drinker and drug user at times throughout his life, and was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression. His struggles with drugs and mental illness affected his life and work, and often appeared in his lyrics. In 2003, aged 34, he died in Los Angeles, California, from two stab wounds to the chest.[8] The autopsy evidence was inconclusive as to whether the wounds were self-inflicted or the result of homicide.[9] At the time of his death, Smith was working on his sixth studio album, From a Basement on the Hill, which was posthumously produced and released in 2004. And now I understand the tone of the album...

Sometimes this list is baffling. It’s not that I hate this album. It’s more a case of…why does it make the top 1001?? Not into the whispery voice, don’t care if it’s his ‘thing’. Either sing, or don’t sing. Generally this is all a bit emo, but there’s some goodness in here. Between The Bars for one.

Eh, wasn’t really my thing

The name Elliott Smith is familiar but not sure where to place. Album cover would like like a pop-punk type. On listening it's soft, acoustic tunes, very melancholy, kind of naval-gazing. This one is another pretty forgettable album, it just sort of went by and it was hard to notice because it was so soft. Definitely another one that I would have adored when I was heavy into depression. Otherwise not my cup of tea anymore and way too samey throughout.

I’ve tried a handful of times to get into Elliot Smith and I just can’t. This is the first time I’ve actually made it through a whole album. It was fine. I might give his stuff another shot but there’s a bunch of other singer/songwriter types I’d rather listen to.

Decent but not my cup of tea. Nothing really exciting here.

Overall kind of boring, maybe I wasn’t in the right mood

Een beetje saai

Not a bad album, no real hits, but it was nice to listen to.

Track 01 - 2/5 Track 02 - 2/5 Track 03 - 2/5 Track 04 - 2.25/5 Track 05 - 2.5/5 Track 06 - 2/5 Track 07 - 2.5/5 Track 08 - 2.25/5 Track 09 - 2/5 Track 10 - 2/5 Track 11 - 2/5 Track 12 - 2.25/5 Overall: 2.25/5 Album Cover: 2.25/5

Me pareció lindo a ratos pero en general me aburrió. Los arreglos con el piano sin lo que más gustó del disco pero nada que me haga querer escucharlo de nuevo.

Little less than OK. No draw for me.

Not so convinced about the classic status.

Better the second time I listened but still dreary

Found his whispery, insipid voice unbearable, ruining a lot of decent songs.

Not my cup of tea

I'm not a guy who pays close attention to lyrics when first listening to an album which seems to be where most people praise Elliott Smith. I think it's an okay album. Not one I'll be listening to all the way through though. Some tracks have some interesting instrumental qualities but most don't. I can see the appeal in Elliott's voice, but it's not for me. Overall it just feels too boring... This album lands on the lower end of the spectrum for me.

Kinda boring. They all sounded the same

Between bars is the only one I really remembered. This was never my favorite work of his and that remains true. Reminded me of college a lot though.

Too sad for me.

Indie-folk. Un rollazo de cuidado...

sorry ruby :/

Nieko gero

First Listen. Smooth great sound. Love to hear this one again and again. 2/5 for now. I know this one will only go up.

Depressing AF but alright if that’s your bag

This is definitely unique, but there's always such a weird little disconnect between the wispy, unsupported vocals and the music itself. It's kind of like the mixing is off, but it may be intentional.

Background music. Not very memorable

Not heard of ES before. He was clearly a fine songwriter. Couldn't really get into this.

Not for me

5/21/21 6:58AM - I don't care for this album. Let's see if that changes... 5/22/21 7:00AM - It's fine. Still doesn't grab me. Best tracks: Rose Parade and Cupid's Trick

okay folk rock sound. Probably 2.5

Inoffensive but doesn’t stand out from other singer-songwriters

Completely forgettable.

Хило. Битлз на минималках. Классический софт рок

Acoustic guitar with sing-songy vocals. meh.

Wet wank, no thanks

Not a huge fan of this genre (emo-ish rock) but thought the beats were pretty catchy and thought it did a nice job of highlighting his talent as a lyricist

A solid 2/5.

Despite Mr Smith's liberal use of profanity, this is an indistinct and wimpy record. I don't like it. The only bits I liked were when he was doing a passable Big Star impersonation. Otherwise, all a bit too wet and gooey for me.

As expected - whiney

Wel prima gevoelig album, zou het niet zo snel nogeens aanzetten

Nice but the album did not though me.

Not new to Elliott Smith. Doesn’t have the same impact on me today as I’m not an angsty emo teenager anymore. He’s still an amazing musician that died before his time, but not really my jam any longer.

Bit boring

very wet

ok. Unlikely to listen again

Lancinant et répétitif. Pas mauvais mais pas mon style.

A bit dull

Taustamusaa

Monocordico. Boring. Musica de dentista, tem seus méritos, nesse nicho. Serve para rolar umas paisagens no canal OFF.

I'd prefer a greatest hits album of his instead

Melkosta muniinpuhaltelua. Vaati kärsivällisyyttä kuunnella läpi, mut meni.

Eh didn't listen to it too much

ok this is suuuuper boring and goes nowhere. Like watching paint dry. 2/5.

boring 0/10

Too slow and too quiet

Some jerks add an f to art. What is another term for fart? 1/5

Oh dear, pretty forgetable

Wir werden keine Freunde

Well, at least it was short.

Bad Acoustic Indie, stopped after 3 songs

This album felt... creepy. I was uncomfortable listening to it.

Good album. Little mellow for me today.

I thought there were some nice Beatleesque melodies, but otherwise it was terrible and I couldn't wait for it to end.

Best: #12 Say Yes

I'm so glad this album was only 37 minutes long. Even at that run time it seemed like an eternity. It's like a much worse version of Jack Johnson's music. I'm guessing he is related to someone in the industry because this is terrible. The music is super generic and his singing is so boring that it almost made me fall asleep several times. Even the album cover is a super generic shot of him being "edgy" smoking in some public restroom that has "graffiti" on the walls. It's one of the lamest albums I have heard in a long time. After I wrote the above I took a minute to look at his Wikipedia page and realized he died by stabbing himself to death. Brutal but it puts things into perspective for sure.

when i listened to "figure 8", i found elliott smith to be deeply tiresome with his whisper-y softness in a way that made my eye twitch. i'm sure others find that intimate and emotion, but all i can think is "god damn this dude can't sing and has no range". every song sound identical here. i have next to nothing to say because this is so unbelievably boring/

Why does it feel like they are recorded doing a whisper yell for all the songs. Sounds absolutely terrible.

I still don't care about this man

The way his voice sounds on this album really irks me. I thought it was the whispering at first, but unfortunately it didn't get better after he stopped. It's so whiny.

2.6 miljoona lobotomia uhria. Top 3 1: Between The Bars 2: Ballad Of Big Nothing 3: Cupid's Trick 1/5

This was blah. Not something I would reach for and listen to again.

Bad, Annoying, Whiny Whisper Head-Singing. Exactly how you'd think a guy named Elliot would sound

I stopped it half way through. Just not in the SAD mood that it puts you in.

No coneixia cap cançó des disc. Quan el comences dius vale es ritme esta guay no se que, pero es que van passant ses cançons i son massa lentes, i sa manera de cantar des cantant no me mata tampoc.

2/10 Not my cup of tea. Grungy, whiny, 1990s era music.

2/10 don't catch the vibe

Nope. Whiny and depressing and every song sounded the same. Couldn’t even tolerate it long enough to listen to the amazing lyrics everyone seems to love about this guy. (1)

Was he Billy Eilash's voice coach or something?

Booooorrrinnnggggg

Rose Parade “Everyone’s interest is stronger than mine.” Exactly.

I am not a fan of bored, drug addled disaffected guys with guitars. I don’t understand the appeal of melancholy especially with vocalists that are so weak they can’t even be mixed properly.

Jos joku on muniin puhaltelua, niin tämä. Laulukin jää ihme hönkäilyksi, laula kunnolla saatana. 1/5

I don't know what this dude is moaning about and I honestly don't care. Boring. Why are we whisper singing? I hate this.

Too quiet for me, didn't find it interesting

Snooze fest

No... Sorry. I did not like this. You may like it, but this is definitely not for me.

Boring. Terrible vocals. Hate this.

Never heard of album or band. First song has good background track but not a fan of the vocals. Looking like another generic Indie album. Drums are not good. Almeda has a cool guitar solo but other than that forgettable song. Ballad of big nothing is goofy and generic. Between the bars is at least a change of pace, but still whiny and not my style. Postures of me has some Beatles vibes, but it’s 30 years after the Beatles. It’s dated and just an average song. No name no 5 is more of the same. I at least like the guitar on rose parade. More whiny/quiet vocals. Not a fan of Punch and Judy. Begging for more variety. Angeles is eh. Cupids trick is better. Finally not just a slow whiny song. I keep listening eclectic a great song to come up. It’s not gonna happen. 245 is well written but more of the same. If there wasn’t only one song left I’d bail out here. Say yes is well written too but again sounds like the exact same song as the other 13. Overall Extremly basic album. Don’t waste your time, you absolutely do not need to hear this before you die. 1.4 stars.

Unbelievably bland

When whispering your faux teenage angst is the M.O.

Was not really a fan of the sound was a bit to, a bit to something i did not enjoy.

Too slow, not interesting.

When critics start labeling releases as creative/artistic yada yada I cringe. Apparently this album has gotten a lot of high marks, I don't like it at all, unless the intended use was to cure insomnia.

boring

Really bad. All the songs are similars, at least the ones i heard. I could not listen all the album, cause the sonority was really not comfy. Seems like some ethereal sad wannabe bullshit. It did not got you feeling the sadness it should express

Like a sad Nick Drake without the interesting song structure and tunefulness that makes him interesting

Weak, whispery voice whining over forgettable ballads. WTF?

1.5 - it sounded ok just super boring. Hated his voice as well

Couldn't get through. I suppose I could give it more of a fighting chance if I were in a more patient mood, but I just don't like Elliott Smith.

1,45/5 not unbearable to listen to, but nothing special either.

The saddest sad boy album to ever sad

This album sounded like a Demo! I didn’t get it at all!

Man I’m glad that was only 37 minutes long. As my Fortnite playing son would say a few years ago “that’s dog water”

Have tried to get into Elliot for decades. I love Oberst, jose gonzalez, Daniel J, and others. I am all about singer song writer style of music but Smith has never appeared to me. Not sure what it is...

I’d never heard of Elliott Smith before. I wasn’t sure what to expect but found this very dull and bland.

This was so slow and quiet and boring that I finally decided it was justbad. I tried a second pass through and found myself fast forwarding through every song.

This certainly makes you feel sorry for Elliott. The melancholy and sadness in the songs is just depressing. I can't imagine they brought him much joy. Not sure why this is on the list. Unless as a warning to others; bring joy, the world already has enough sadness.

Idk who this is and I don’t like it

This album came and went with no reaction from me except mild irriation at the singer's breathy voice. Music for 14-year olds.

not my jam

Sorry, eigentlich mag ich Songwriter! Aber das ist mir zu zurückhaltend.

3/10. Pffffffffffffffffffffffff.

Uh... I guess it captures that angsty, dark depression vibe of the 90s well enough, but who wants to relive that?

Despite its cult status and influence on indie-folk music, Either/Or falls flat for those seeking variety or sonic innovation. Elliott Smith’s hushed vocals and lo-fi acoustic arrangements blur together across tracks, making it difficult to distinguish one melancholic musing from another. The album’s emotional vulnerability may appeal to some, but for listeners not already tuned into Smith’s introspective wavelength, the experience can feel monotonous and overly self-indulgent. With little dynamic range and a consistently downbeat tone, Either/Or risks becoming background music — and not in a good way. In short, this album might be a touchstone for a niche audience, but for others, it’s a dreary, one-note affair.

I get that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when they use it to make me listen to an album like this I want to revoke theirs.

This is someone I will never understand. To me, he's struggling to sing on top of dull tracks. I always like to keep an open mind but I really don't get this guy.

to sad

Just not good

Either/Or is the perfect title for an album that has no edge to it.

Kjedelig

Not for me Clive

Boring and blah

Holy Crap this was BORING . I’m struggling to write much about it as I found it so unbelievably uninteresting. If I was to rank my bottom five so far this would certainly be in it.

Yeah....not good

Not for me. Easy to listen to but I didn't feel the deeper message.

Not for me

Me siento en medio de ex hare krishnas, incómodo en medio de esos hippies perdidos en el tiempo. No, gracias

why is this on the list.. did nothing for me - perhaps a nice little melody here or there for a minute, nothing more - didn't enjoy this one

Boooooooring Snoozefest. Every song sounds the same. Uninteresting in every aspect: musically, lyrically, vocally. Low energy, plodding, breathy. Scratching my head why this is must listen material..

High pitched mumble hipster pop is a genre of its own. Either/or is the dark Jack Johnson singing about Curious George having addiction issues that lead to depression and a desire for death whilst wearing brown shoes and high water pants.

What is this. 1997 and this is the best they could do? Who likes this soppy stuff. Weak. Bring back ice cubes balls. Least that was funny.

Can't get into it

Non fa per me, non mi comunica nulla

Dosta loš album. 1/5, 1/10

Could’ve stayed in the 90’s. Seems like he wants to have a chili peppers vibe but lacks the vocal prowess to deliver.

Not my cup of tea. There are other artists out there that do this better.

Nah bruh

Another dreary , boring album. Why is it on this list? It has no redeeming features whatsoever. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Really didn't enjoy this

I just can't get into Elliott Smith's music. Seriously. I tried when I was younger because everyone talks about him and how great this album in particular is. I can't see it. Hate his voice and I fail to recognize the genius of the lyrics, in the end all tracks blend together for me.

Still can’t get into his voice, it seems to convey no range of emotion.

First listen. Not my kind of music.

Seems kinda emo, I’ve never heard of this person but he’s vibey. Speed Trials and Alameda were okay. Ballad of Big Nothing was pretty good. Between the Bars was a nice soft song. Pictures of Me was good. No Name No. 5 was okay. Rose Parade and Punch and Judy were alright. Angeles and Cupids Trick were fine. 2:45 a.m. is good. Say Yes is fine but a good end of album song. The melody sounds like it wants to end the whole time. Track No. 2 sums up how I feel about this album: Ballad of Big Nothing. Was it a vibe? Sure. Was it my vibe? Not really.

Mind-numbingly mellow. Feels like each song is just the same as the one before with slightly different lyrics. This is the kind of music that you ignore when it comes into rotation. Or skip if you can. As BEavis and Butthead would say "This sucks, change it."

Och nee.

More dull US Indie pop

Boring....

Not my cup of tea.

Sad boy music not my style.

holy fucking lmao this is straight up nuclear fucking garbage. is this some joke im just not in on? why the fuck would anyone listen to this? i guess if you are missing out on some out-of-tune whiny pathetic fucking vocals and basic-ass guitar strumming this is your cup of tea but then i, presonally, just wouldnt respect you as a music-enjoyer this is so fucking lame lmfao i just fucking cant. most talentless shit ive had a displeasure to listen to. thank fuck i only checked out 6-7 songs instead of the entire album but god its so fucking bad i cant even find the words to describe it that are not "fucking" and "bad" NNN this is pathetic shit, id give it a 0 if i could

What am I missing, who the hell actually likes this crap

Do you like Indie folk music? If you do then this album is for you. I don't really know what the guy is saying. The lyrics are decent but I don't understand what he saying he gotta talk louder. His voice is decent it just he don't talk loud and I can't really hear him. I would recommend this album just because it sounds good but you can't really hear the guys voice.

Do you like singers with soft voices? Then this is the album for you! This singer has an amazing voice, but I don't really like how soft he sings but I would still listen to him. I think that the instruments are amazing too, and it has a good beat. So that is why I recommend you listen to this album.

First album I wasn't able to get through.

I'm kinda sad today. In that Buffy the Vampire Slayer elicited some tears from my middle-aged eyes. I've had my share of depressive episodes. But I'm not sure if there could ever be a time where anyone could be sad enough for this to become good. If it was therapy for Mr Smith, that's good, I guess, the poor fella. If it's therapy for someone else, I guess that's good too. But this is never going to darken my earballs again.

Found only 1 song… rap

Eh. This was a very hard listen. Why did this need to exist? Why is it important?

All shite. But knowing you all and your shite taste, you probably gave this shite 4 or 5s. Well, doesn't matter.

Esse deve ser sobrinho de quem fez a lista. Álbum chato da porra

No thanks

I have never heard of this artist before today. And I wonder why I needed to listen to this album before I shove off this mortal realm.

Dreary

Not a fan. Not a single song that I was thinking "yeah, let's hear that again" Reading his bio on Wiki, I can but only get the impression that he's heralded as a great influence because it gives us a reason to put a spotlight on mental-health... Removing those artists who either took their own lives intentionally, or accidentally, there are plenty of great artists out there who don't feel the need to shoot up, drink up, or stab themselves in the stomach because they don't agree with the girlfriend hiding in the bathroom and taking a shower... 1*

Just ok

Man, that was a long-ass 37 minutes.

Dull and well dull.

Sooooo dull

Not my cup of tea really.

As soon as I read "an acclaimed singer/songwriter with a distinctively melancholic sound" I had a feeling this wasn't for me. And it wasn't.

Even when trying to listen to this as hard as I could, I still tuned it out.

Either/Or as in either skip it or don’t listen to it. A bit bland, lucky for us it’s only 36 minutes long. Either snooze through it or poker stick. (0.8*)

I got nothing out of this album. It felt very generic and while I'm sure that makes it easy listening... I just didn't vibe.

Bad 1/5

Didn’t get into the album

All songs sound the same. A whispering singer, with lots to say.

bland pablum, trite fluff, absolutely not worth the time, money or energy to record. I consider it an insult that you or anyone would present this to anyone to waste time listening.

Speak up son!

Nothing hooked me or stood out. Quiet but not soothing to my ear.

Boring and all sounds the same.

Not my type

😴😴💤💤

Quiet, indie rock. Not for me. 1/5

Not for me…

Music and vocals was hard to distinguish. Boring.

Teenage/young adult angst becomes musically incarnate. Unfortunately, unlike other angsty contemporaries, Smith forgot to make any of the music fun. Most of the songs sound like the same sad bastard music, nothing stands out. I would need to be in a very specific mental place to enjoy this, like in my parent's basement right after my girlfriend broke up with me and I got fired from my job at Burger King on the same day.

Sounds like what people who listen to pop think indie sounds like. Just talking over a strummed guitar. Kinda 90s

couldn’t hear lol

I really wanted to like this. Blech. I dislike the music so much I can’t bring myself to listen to the lyrics

Did not like at all. Too miserable and samey

Not my cup of tea

I ALREADY RATED THIS YOU IDIOTS

Absolutely not for me. Is it a toy drum on the first track? It makes lars' snare on st anger sound amazing. I feel sorry for the dude that he was so troubled with drugs, but I feel like I could do with some drugs after listening, if I'm ever to feel happy again.

Forgetable

bland, boring... most albums on this list have had a "purpose" even if I maybe didn't like the genre or the type music. this is just devoid of anything...

Who? Pleasantly boring.

Boring, dull, tedious

Ootko kuunnellu Elliot Smithia? Noi top 5 biisiä on parhaimpia biisejä ikinä min kirjoissa😁 Mun* (Sluchaj, sluchaj, sluchaj mnie jeszcze) tämä albumi olisi paras albumi ikinä jos se olisi ainoa albumi ikinä between the bars

Aburridisimo

Boring. Even the one with 137M streams. Christ, I don't think I even listened to the last few songs.

Thanks. Now I am bored and sad.

Never heard of it

Didn't really like his voice or the music sad face.

Didn’t like it, skipped most of the songs.

this sounds like the type of filler noise that i imagine is always on in the back of like, a seattle coffee shop. this being made in 1997 means an entire generation of ppl took this sound and ran with it. which is unfortunate. bc it's v much not my vibe

Wow this is a boring album. Lyrics are uninspiring and repetitive, the vocalist sounds like he's whispering in every song, even the rock beats are generic. Incredibly bland and basic from start to finish.

Boring Lame Uninspired

Folk music, not a fan of this one

Why you would listen to this when you could listen to Armenian Pop Music (1980) by Hamlet Minassian?

Did not like

yeah, this album isn't for me. It sounds a bit too slow and depressing for my liking.

es gibt echt keine lahmere musik ey

This is a bad album. It is indie music and not good. It is kinda emo music too. No need to listen.

Stile un po' indie un po' lo-fi, un po' sottofondo da lavanderia a gettoni. Che flemma... Lo trovo veramente noioso.

Forgettable

Un-listenable

Super langweiliges, fast gewimmertes "singen". Ist eher was für depressive Phasen.

Rubbish.

Dreary

The best thing I can say about this is that I didn't actively hate it. I didn't like it though. Very melancholy, sad, folky. Not at all for me.

bof bof

pretentious

Nothing substantial.

It's...okay...
