Nothing stands out except Maybe This Hollywood Life. Sub-Bowie, identity-less dull pastiche. What I have heard of Butler's other work is more interesting than this.

Dylan's best 70's album. Tangled up in Blue may be his best song. Each track is great, showcasing a renewed lyrical strength and a mostly stripped back instrumentation. I even like the much maligned Lily, rosemary and the Jack of hearts! The only thing better (to me) is the original 1974 test pressing.

I know the name, but I'm not sure I've ever heard any Steve Winwood. You definitely know, you are in the 80's from the first note. Something about the cleanliness of the sounds I don't like, but that could be my own 80 bias even though this is only 1980. Reminds of Peter Gabriel, but maybe it should be the other way around.

Not sure how I missed this album. Selma's songs was the last album I listened to by Bjork, was a big fan of her previous 3 albums. I was even listening to Matmos at the time. Anyway this is a fantastic album, flows really well, maybe lacks a peak, but great beats and lyrics, and her voice of course!

Early REM has been on my radar to explore for a long time, never really got around to it. I know this is their first major label album so not quite the early period. I like it. Very strong album, might miss the more epic singles of their later period but this impressed me.

The most popular album on here. I know the singles, that's it. Starts bad. First 2 Buckingham tracks are misses for me. Although Go Your Own Way is the first song to get me tapping along. The Chain rocks for sure but the rest of side 2 is meh. Overall, 3 great tracks does not make the best album ever.
