Synthesis of accessible songs and abstract sounds Bodysnatchers Weird fishes House of cards

Distorted... I like it.

Radiohead is always next level

Maybe my least favorite Radiohead album, and it's still a 4!

15 Step - 7.2 Bodysnatchers - 6.6 Nude - 7.1 Weird fishes/Arpeggi - 7.9 All I need - 6.8 Faust Arp - 5.2 Reckoner - 7.8 House of cards - 5.5 Jigsaw falling into place - 7.9 Videotape - 8.3 Overall 7.9

Some great vibes. Coincidentally a friend had just played this in response to the prompt: "Put on something you were listening to in college" and that gave me a bigger context for thinking about the vibes.

Haven’t heard most of these before, I think there’s already way too much Radiohead on here, but it’s a decent enough album

Can't go wrong with Radiohead

Album is good, shame about Thom and Jonny being Zionist freaks

A gorgeous album but it takes a few listens to really get it.

middle of the album still feels stale to me

Jigsaw falling into place Bodysnatchers Weird fishes

What a great, late release from Radiohead. Just when you thought they were starting to lose their luster, they give you a deep, well crafted piece of musical art. In Rainbows has a sad beauty to it. The use of strings paired with electronica beats and Yorke are one of a kind. "All I Need" has always moved me and still gives me goosebumps. Releasing the digital download as a pay-what-you-want was bold and may give this one a spot more for that reason but it is undeniably one of the better records from the band (imo). I don't think there has been a band that can match the creativity and uniqueness Radiohead brings. If you were not a fan of the band prior to this list venture, I don't see how you can't be after...or at least appreciate the talent. 4.12 stars...watch out for them weird fishes. P.S., if you enjoyed this check out Disk 2, From the Basement live sessions, and AmpLive's Rainy Dayz Remixes...stellar stuff.

Another very solid entry from Radiohead. I'm newcomer in terms of my Radiohead fandom but I do recall the pay-what-you-want approach and a bit of the ripple effect it had when this album released. I was generally aware of Radiohead but wasn't interested at the time so I had never heard any of this album previously. Nearly 20 years later after giving it a listen I think I consider this their 2nd best album (of the ones I've heard so far). It's got a lot of the cerebral atmospheric stuff that is features on other albums but feels a little less experimental. I wouldn't call it a pop approach, but the album was more accessible than some of the prior entries. I didn't feel any specific songs stood out, but that isn't meant as an insult in as the album features 10 straight good-to-great songs. A overall nice package from Thom Yorke and company. As I enjoyed the album I'll check out Disk 2, but I expect it will pull the overall product down which would feel disingenuous to the review. This album feels like it will be better served at tight 45-minute 10-songs than adding any extra bloat. 5 entries may be a bit much for Radiohead but I can't deny that they are creative, interesting and different from nearly every other act out there. Their music from all phases of their career is engaging and deserves a listen. I'm glad this list gave me a reason to give 5 albums a spin, and there is no reason I won't check out the remaining ones down the line for completionist purposes. 3.57 stars

Intimate, warm, ethereal, existential! 3,5,7,1.

I may call them the best Shoegazing band of all (I just learned that term). His vocals are an instrument onto itself, the unique sounds and phrasing almost better than the lyrics. I'm turning around on them being overrated.

Listening session: june 1st, while making a puzzle Listened to before: listened to this album many times before Thoughts: although this is not my favourite Radiohead album, I like it very very much and I had a hard time choosing my favourite tracks Favourite tracks: Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Reckoner & House Of Cards

Uno de los mejores de la historia y el mejor de radiohead

Perhaps their most approachable album for the non-fan/casual listener. I respect them, but I don't necessarily get "it." That said, I recognize the import of this album, culturally, musically, and from a business standpoint for the pay what you want initial download release.

love this album, I give it 4 stars just because I think The Bends and Ok Computer are better so to differentiate

It keeps surprising me how many very, very famous riffs and samples come out of Radiohead albums.

This does not sound like an album from 2007. Nothing about this project feels familiar. It truly is an avant-garde product. Definitely need to listen to it a couple more times.

Hadn’t truly listened to this fully. Not too bad. Needs a couple more listens

It's one of the better Radiohead albums, but still not my favorite. That's probably The Bends. Loved the "Pay-what-you-want" method of release when the album came out. As for the music... it's good, occasionally great. I feel like they've finally found the right levels of electronic to add into their music.

First real dive into one of their albums. Initial impressions are that its a little understated most of the time with the dreamy atmospheric vibes and ballad like vocals. Each song tends to highlight a different part of the band and keeps it interesting for repeat listens. Connected with some of the lyrics which seem to carry on the energy of "Creep" of feeling like a lesser being and trying to strive to stand among the good people. Overall it had more enjoyable tracks than not. Looking forward to their other albums.

You’d think almost 20 years on I’d be ready to state if this bettered other Radiohead albums I once thought were my favourite. You’d also think I’d be ready, if it’s ever going to happen, to proclaim this a 5 star album. The truth is though, no matter how much I love the band and enjoy listening to them, I simply haven’t listened enough to the albums beyond Kid A even close to as much as they deserve. The obvious thing to surmise is that I just don’t like those albums enough, but I disagree. Every time I am listening to In Rainbows it is incredible and “has to be their best”. I feel I spend a long time (obviously!) absorbing Radiohead and I feel like I need to absorb In Rainbows still more. I’m gradually starting to think that the main thing I will take from this 1001 experience is my increase in Radiohead listening. And that will be fine. This is astonishing music and the only question I have for myself about it is “are you ready to make this a 5 yet?, and the answer is “no, not yet”, but I expect I will be soon.

Very good, liked the consistent dreamy sounds with interesting rhythms and movement

Wow a Radiohead album I actually enjoy, it has this wanderlust and melancholic vibe that I could have done better after a life full of regret… or maybe it caught me on the day I’m feeling that.

Excellent album potential my fave Radiohead

This is the album that got me into Radiohead, and hit me at a very formative time in the development of my music tastes, so it’s hard to say anything objectively about it. While it’s no longer in that top tier of Radiohead albums for me, I don’t think there’s a single bad song on there.

3rd pass notes: this is merely okay on a third pass. it’s still nice but not exceptional. 2nd pass notes: this album is a delight to listen to, to put on and listen to, and to soak up so much of the vibes I’m interested in from music. last track lingers a little. 1st pass notes, just listening to the music and not so much the words: 15 Step. easy listening rock, slight trippy vibes Bodysnatchers. meat and potatoes, something happening every beat (à la four on the floor) gives me that adrenaline rush to listen to that’s part fight or flight. reminds me of some christian rock I was listening to in the 00s. + Nude. like skipping stones on a glassy lake. reminds me of portishead. this band loves distortions that mellow the voice/sound. would listen to this track again. it’s a little bit stewing in heavenly wash vibes (derog) Weird Fishes / Arpeggi. curtains of rain, but energetic and not sad. might be warm melancholy though. 00s muted caterwauling indie vibes (also Xian rock feeling, though it’s more of the era perhaps). similar to some GitS:SAC ost. All I Need. now this is the jam right here. slow, with distorted bass and supplemental effects.sounds like the city at night, one of my favorite genres ++ Faust Arp. this is a cool concept (doubled over unison singing but slightly off because of different takes) but also seems like it might trying too hard? it’s demanding I listen to the words so that’ll be a later pass. this style/album/group must have been an influence on GitSSAC for real (although the timeline doesn’t line up) Reckoner. nice warm bath. easy to tune out of. also probably wants words attention. falsetto. I like the strings though. House of Cards. I like this opening. the sound wash is neat. is this sound phasing/halting shoegaze? good for getting lost in and tranced out to. Jigsaw Falling Into Place. I like the register of the vocalist a lot better here. seems a bit like a Rock Band song (neutral). missed the beginning of the track because I was zoned out. Videotape. plaintive, reflective. I do like it. has a soft minimal-sounding accompaniment that’s really neat. again seems GitSSAC esque ++

Funny place to start with Radiohead, no doubt, especially with the first track being familiar to me from the Twilight credits. That said, and putting past the ever-complicated question of if I like Thom Yorke’s voice or it just fits as an additional instrument in the music, I can see more of what the fuss is about here and I can easily imagine the world where I had ended up catching this as a teenager and becoming the annoying sort of Radiohead superfan that put me off listening to the band for so long. Fascinating soundscape-y tunes with a nice drone and this understated sense of play while also trying to sound depressing as fuck which sort of balances out the energy once you get past the higher push of the first two tracks - like being lulled into a safe space that still feels like it could catch you out on a point at any time. If I knew what any of the words were, I’m sure they’d be fine too, but just taking the vocals as part of the soundscape still works plenty well too.

call me stupid i don't get it as much as you do lol great, not phenomenal enough for me though

This is the 5th of 6 Radiohead albums that I have had on this countdown and they continue to all be excellent records, even though I wouldn't proclaim myself a fan of theirs at all. The others have all been 4 or 5-star albums and, in truth, I am squarely between those rankings again. There are a series of great tracks on here. 15 Step, Bodysnatchers, Weird Fishes, and All I Need are excellent tunes, but my personal favorite on this record is Jigsaw Falling Into Place. This might be my favorite one from Radiohead ever (it happens to be my daughter's favorite song all time by them too). The musicality, the way it drives - especially the base and drums - the lyrics, it all comes together so amazingly well. A truly awesome song. To be sure, there were others on here which weren't as great for me - e.g., Faust Arp. That said, I just really enjoyed this record and have continued to realize what I have been missing all these years. 4-stars.

Man, this site is really trying to make me love Radiohead. That’s the only way I can explain why this is already the third album out of the 85 I’ve listened to. Since I’m still someone who doesn’t get Yorke’s work, I’m a little baffled. The Bends—I thought it was a really great album, 5/5 Kid A—just a total flop. 0 out of 5; I don’t even want to think about it But this one… I can’t decide. It’s all steeped in some kind of melancholy and depression, but… it’s almost as if I actually liked it. I’d say 3.5 out of 5. But whatever, I’ll give it a 4. I hope I don’t come across any more Radiohead, or at least not anytime soon.

Maybe the only truly “pop” album from Radiohead or Yorke & Greenwood (& Godrich). And also the last time they felt relevant in the culture as opposed to being a novelty act (AMSP has its defenders, I’m not one ). 2007-10 was this anomaly where indie rock aesthetics were bleeding over into pop and (especially) hip hop, with a Thom Yorke solo cut ending up on a Kanye mixtape during the Graduation rollout (with a video featuring...Will Oldham!). From Radiohead to Grizzly Bear to Daft Punk and even Animal Collective (and later, perhaps most famously, Beach House) the boundaries were collapsing; these contemporary acts were as vital to sampling or getting a sense of the direction of music as chiptune was a few years earlier. But, most of the discussion around In Rainbows was the name your price download gimmick they worked out after parting ways with Capitol, echoing Wilco’s nose-thumbing with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Which is noteworthy to a degree, but did not in fact herald a future where everyone paid what they thought was appropriate for a new album by a famous band. Instead it was the continued convergence of corporation-owned platforms, big tech, and the creators, perhaps most unfortunately with U2 and the iPhone, still the weirdest unforced error in modern music history. No one would’ve cared about In Rainbows had it been a poor set of songs or by a lesser known group, but drumming up interest in music via a gimmick is still the oldest part of the hype machine (see: Geese). Fortunately these are all road-tested, tinkered-with, mulled-over, the products of a songwriting partnership and arrangers at their bets. Alas, this is the last we’d see Radiohead achieve anything this sublime.

Ive already listened to this and want new one

I liked this album more than previous releases due to it's more personal nature and evolving musicality. The band showed it's growth and appreciation toward it's fan base.

Not my absolute favorite Radiohead, but damn good.

I'm starting to think radiohead might be a good musician

A pretty great Radiohead album. You all know it. There’s nothing I can really add that hasn’t already been said. Best: Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Weird Fishes, House of Cards Worst: Faust Arp

Fantastic album, which I’ve heard a number of times and never seems to get old. Probably my favorite Radiohead album. 4.3/5.0

This is an album I've heard a lot about that doesn't live up to the hype. Decent album, but there's nothing special about it.

This Radiohead album reinstilled my love of the band. Wonderful

Je l’avais déjà ecouté, album rock avec qq sons électroniques. Nude qui te detruit trop belle chanson incroyable je chiale. Je kiffe l’album, faudrait que je vois cquils ont fait d’autre pcq askip c le plus accessible

Listening Notes: - Heavy atmosphere (electric, distorted) - The Vocals as an instrument heavily adds to the atmosphere created by the rest of the instruments - Can be very sway-like at times, and almost orchestral (Nude) - All the instruments are really well balanced and crisp. Can hear everything

Quintessential 00's album. Sonically dense and iconic.

Would I listen again: yes It’s interesting, it’s good. Faves are nude, weird fishes, jigsaw

Normally can't stand Radiohead but this is a great album. That time signature! Great for having on in the background while getting stuff done

There are ...five Radiohead albums I like more than this one. Oh, and those other five also made this list. Do I like this record? Yep. Does it need to be here and take a slot that could be filled by an artist that should have been but wasn't represented on the list? Maybe not.

tel aviv radio unfortionaly a banger. i 15 steps a banger. can not give it 5 stars because i dont wana

In which Radiohead became one of the first to have a name your price for the digital download of their album. It's a pretty good one, short and sweet. Maybe their best?

classic! still love it 15 step ^^

Not my favourite Radiohead albums but still a 4.

Didnt expect this to hit so hard with the nostalgia but by the time it got to weird fishes I could almost taste a richmond menthol. A great album but a point off because im not arsed about every song on it.

Listening to the full album. First half was okay but the second half is what made me hooked. It’s hauntingly beautiful.

Una joya!

Ziohead

Banger intro to Radiohead. Videotape’s great

This is perfectly fine Radiohead which gets a 4, but its not their best

A superior Radiohead album. Reckoner my favourite I reckon - mellow magic. And then the jigsaw one - 4.2

My love for this album came from watching them perform it in From The Basement rather than from the record itself. Still a couple of songs don't quite hit the mark for me but Reckoner, Nude, All I Need and Jigsaw are amongst my favourite Radiohead songs.

yea its really good. radiohead highkey overhyped but it's still very good

The Good: Finding a pot of gold! The Bad: Misreading the album name… there’s no end to this one… The Ugly: Have you ever seen a radiohead? The snob in me really wants to like this album. Snob. Really. First listen… can’t be bothered. Second listen… what’s this pulling me in? Third listen… fuckers! Fourth listen… can’t wait till the fifth listen… It’s not a 5* album, but it is better than some of the albums I’ve rated 5* Really really really enjoyed this outing! Does this make me a snob? 4*

To basically paste my previous review, I think something has changed in my brain chemistry because it seems I love radiohead now. Solid album, no complaints directed at radiohead, but unfortunately that last review I mentioned was ✨not even a week ago✨. It's too much radiohead folks! Surely there are some other artists that could have taken an entry on the top 1000?

Great Radiohead alhum

I remember liking this album a lot more. It's till good, but Thom Yorke's lack of enunciation really made the whole thing drag. These compositions bang though.

Classique goy slip radiohead

4th-best Radiohead album

I like but it's not my fav of Radiohead

One of my favorite middle school albums that I think shows off Radiohead's upbeat abilities way more than previous albums. 15 steps? Weird fishes? Love and very much part of the reason I got into indie music in my formative music years. Short and fun for my ears, though I agree it could use a little more melody diversity in the latter half of the album.

4/5 actually first listen good stuff

Not their best, but still has some bangers. A mid Radiohead album is better than most other records

Remember getting this for free when it was released with the “set your own price” system. I don’t think I really “got” it then, but it has really grown on me over the intervening years

It's hard, because this isn't my Radiohead. My Radiohead is Ok Computer, and some of that is here, but there's a lot that's different. I need to revisit this when I get the chance. I need to give it a fairer shot.

Notable Textzeile: It's on again, off again, on again Watch me fall like dominoes In pretty patterns Ich hatte ja immer das Gefühl, ich bin zu simpel gestrickt für Radiohead.

There's a lot of talk among Radiohead fans of this being their actual best album, better than OK Computer, the "sleeper hit" of the catalogue. And I can understand that. Everyone involved decided to reel in all the electronic experimentation they had been doing for the last seven years, and get back to writing songs that are just...good songs. Songs that you can play on guitar or piano. Songs that don't cease to exist if your synthesizer crashes and you lose all your presets. From the get-go, you think it'll be their most experimental album yet, with Thom singing over these delay-scratched sequenced beats. But overtime, '15 Step' ends up feeling more and more natural, and the album never returns to that field again. There's a reason Thom called these "love songs." They're so intimate, they're so grounded. You have good ol' rock-and-roll cuts (Bodysnatchers, Jigsaw) as well as the exceptionally moody songs (House of Cards, Nude, and oh my god Videotape.) I don't think it's perfect. The songs here are beautiful and many are still catchy, but they don't have the same level of eat-your-heart-out theatrical ambitions that OK Computer does. And while there is no filler on In Rainbows, some songs might possibly overstay their welcome. House of Cards does not need to be 5 1/2 minutes long. It harkens back to the classics from the 60s and 70s, when albums only existed on a vinyl LP. Every artist only had 40 minutes and change to prove to you why they should be included in your collection. And of course, In Rainbows is no exception. It's for those who wanted a more concise band, less whining, more traditionally great singing. Better drumming, better guitar licks, it's just a beautiful record.

Its a good album to clean or do things while listening. I found 4 tracks to be boring or unlistenable. But I liked 60% of the album

Liked a lot of this, will give it another go

Better then I thought it would be but I still don’t see what all the fuss is about Radiohead. Seemed a little pretentious to me.

It's their signature sound for sure, but it felt... incomplete? I don't know, something's missing

I was very pleasantly surprised by this album. After Amnesiac I had little hope for Radiohead returning to melodic compositions. This album is moody and complicated but with a welcome return to melody. Thank goodness.

gran disco.

Muy bueno, lento chill, pero no aburrido

I like this one.

definitely more my wheelhouse for music, that being said I haven't even listened to creep so this was interesting. looking forward to the next 5 radioheads albums on this list.

Super good album, fun to listen to while doing chores

I really vibed with this Radiohead album. Lots of piano backed tracks with some synth drums and mellow sounds. Some of it kind of sounded like U2 to me, but not in a bad way.

A beautiful album, less dense and more accesible than a lot of their work. I don't know that any individual songs stuck out but this is an album album.

Oh! I’ve definitely never listened to a complete Radiohead album on my own volition (no offense I don’t dislike them just a realization). Let’s go. I only know bodysnatchers from this one. Wild this came out during my freshman year at Vass. I was too busy with Brand New and being bleak my first semester. Woah learning they released this as a pay what you want download! Iconic? Weird fishes/arpeggi HA. V good title (“I get eaten by the worms and weird fishes”). “Words are sawed off shotguns” okay I like this album. Nude fucked me up on relistening.

I used to not really like this album, and I thought it was overrated. Now I do like this album, but I do still think it's a bit overrated. OK Computer still clears. A solid album nonetheless. 9/10

gooood album. favs are weird fishes, nude, and all i need

I mean what more is there to say. Just listen to it.

Tracks: 1 15 Step ◦ I loveeee this. The beat is so groovy and amazing and it’s giving like basketball game if you know what I mean it’s giving electronics out in space. The clicking things are amazing. Idk it’s soo spacey. I love this song 2 Bodysnatchers ◦ Meh I barely remember it nothing special 3 Nude ◦ I luv this song its super duper good 4 Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi ◦ This song its good but not nearly as much as people make it out to seem. 5 All I Need ◦ Super duper classic. I love this song lots it’s really catchy. 6 Faurst Arp ◦ This song is lowkey really good. Like I love the rhythm. Its very wonderful to me. 7 Reckoner ◦ I like the rhythm and stuff but I’m not too sure if I liked the lyrics. Idk I like the way he sung most of them. ◦ I think it could grow on me so I will like it I think. 8 House of Cards ◦ I don’t really like this song. It’s kind of meh. I don’t like it. I don’t like the instrumental and I don’t like the lyrics and I don’t care for thr rhythm.

It's incredible like much of radiohead and I loved it a lot, it just didn't blow me away as much as OK Computer did. Which might be unfair... because its OK Computer.

Radiohead a bit stripped back and more accessible makes In Rainbows one of their most popular releases. Limiting some of their abstract electronic layers probably helps and I like the way each song seems to keep on building through its running time. Weird Fishes puts me in mind of The Blue Nile which is no bad thing and 15 Step is a great opener.

As a younger millennial, In Rainbows is kind of OUR Radiohead album. I remember sitting in my room, listening to All I Need on terrestrial radio, completely transfixed. That was my first experience like that with this generational band. It wouldn't be the last.

muy bueno, siempre puse excusas para no escucharlo porque radiohead no es una banda que me llama mucho la atención y realmente me encanto, mis canciones favoritas fueron nude, weird fishes, all i need y jigsaw falling into place

What's a Radiohead? Still a blind spot that this list is slowly filling in. I don't think this is the masterpiece its been built up to be (only did 2 listens so what do I know) but its good. Very consistent and thought out concept. Im sure the more pretentious spots will grow on me but today they were a tad distracting. Favorite Songs: Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Faust Arp

ci stava, già ascoltato

Bloody lovely album, ignored it at the time for reasons unknown. I love that they kept it lean at 40 something minutes, there are beautiful sounds and textures throughout. Part of me starts to miss the days when they'd write more traditional sounding songs, but then they blindside you with a cool string part or a left field drum beat.

A pretty great album honestly, I really enjoyed the first half. "Bodysnatchers" and "Weird Fish" are possibly my favorite radiohead songs of all time if I'm being honest. Sadly for me once "Faust Arp" hits the record starts to lose steam for me. It's still pretty good in the second half, I just wish it didn't end on "Video Tape", which is the weakest track in the link and sounds like Kid A leftovers.

honestly hated my last radiohead album so was NOT looking forward to this esp to get two radiohead albums in a row (why are there so many radiohead albums. surely we could've picked another influential artist instead of another radiohead album). but. i will admit i did not hate this one. it was pretty good actually i would maybe listen to it again if i was really starved for content.

OK Computer is my favorite of theirs. I was late to the Radiohead party, really wasn’t aware of them as they were releasing albums, but I definitely appreciate them now. Thom’s voice is a little annoying though.

Easy album to have just wash over you

Non è tutto da 5

Good sad dad rock

Exquisite. Some of the singing was too grating.

I can't tell if I like Radiohead, but I I'm going to go with yes

Radiohead is a band I am really sad are zionists. This album is great and I remember when it came out it being pay-what-you-feel which was pretty groundbreaking and rad. A shame.

Great album, Reckoner is a masterpiece.

Radiohead has been my favourite band since the 7th grade yet I've always felt that this was their most overrated record. I love it so much but it's probably not even on my top 5 radiohead albums. But it changes pretty often so idk. Faust Arp will always be the best song on here I dont care. I really don't know what to give it. Compared to other albums I gave a 4, it's incredibly better. But is it a true 5? I can't say so. I don't want to regret my rating, but that will happen anyhow, probably. I don't like Reckoner. Without Reckoner this could've been a 5.

Surprising album for me and helped me discover Radiohead.

Not my favourite Radiohead album but absolute fire. All I need, Jigsaw falling into place and Weird Fishes are personal highlights.

Thom Yorke is a cunt

Angsty and classic. Favourite track: Nude

The first 8 songs on In Rainbows by Radiohead are incredible. Unlike Nathaniel chand, each track flows perfectly into the next with beautiful melodies, emotional lyrics, and amazing production. It’s one of those rare runs where every song feels meaningful and memorable, making the album start feel almost flawless. But it’s not my personal preference, I prefer mainly a rnb indie style

nice, sometimes you can make out the words haven't heard this in a long time, was pleasantly surprised by the musicality and decent tunes

i’m depressed, of course i like radiohead

not my favorite but i like

[disc 1] arpeggio in weird fishes/arpeggi (the song, esp. towards the outro, is beautiful); reckoner: great percussion (song reminds me of what rain would sound or feel like), liked the trip hop and Frusciante influences (probably fav. track in the album); jigsaw falling into place: lyrics + vibes [disc 2] last flowers: beautiful (piano); bangers + mash: groovy, kinda fun

Better than I remembered.

Favorite Tracks: 15 Step / Bodysnatchers / Jigsaw Falling Into Place / Videotape Rating: 4.2 Hell yeah, here we go. My all time favorite Radiohead album is "The Bends," so I was thrilled when this was released with more of a return to a rock-driven sound, although one certainly informed by "Kid A" and "Hail To the Thief." For me it's complex & just experimental enough, but the thru line of an actual band playing actual instruments - quite well, actually, great rhythm section on this - makes sure that it also just rocks.

I have heard a few of their songs in passing but had not listened to the entire album. This was good. I enjoyed it. I can understand why they put it out there and let people pay what they wanted to pay. I'm glad most people paid them because it's good.

Live laugh Radiohead

Very good. RAS

wait am i really into radiohead !????? kinda loved this.....absolutely adding to the repertoire nude (in particular blew me away.....so wonderfully atmospheric) all i need reckoner same vibes as the twilight soundtrack lmaooo (compliment)

enjoying more than i thought i wld hmm…… this was kinda nice lock in music, enough happening to like engage ur brain but it wasn’t liek overpowering (im not sure i rly knew what radiohead’s sound was before this i just assumed it was more screamy)

In 2007 Radiohead were without a contract and so decided to sidestep the record industry by releasing their music online as a ‘pay what you want’ download. This was a gamble, but it paid off in terms of getting their album out and into the hands of fans and curious bystanders as soon as possible. Reportedly most people were happy to pay the regular price or went on to buy the various physical releases that became available later on. Aside from the novelty of the release, this was an evolution in their style - less glitchy and weird, more guitar based rock (with some nice string accompaniments), and with a noticeable personal touch to the lyrics. Thom Yorke’s vocals are still an acquired taste, but after being a relative newcomer to their albums until fairly recently I have grown to appreciate them.

1. 15 Steps - This is a song that ultimately builds up. Not a huge fan of the beginning, but it truly came together, towards the end. Not the best tone-setter.... I dare say, this song is quasi-psychedelic. 6.5/10 2. Bodysnatchers - From the first listen, this song enamored me. Reminds me of Hendrix and heavier rock in general. This is a song that pulls me into another world. 7.68 3. Nude - Again, beautiful song, but I can't connect with it. 7.5/10 4. Weird Fishes - Hm. I want to give it a 10, but it'd be a weak 10. Beautiful song. This is one of the albums defining songs. I am definitely going to revisit it. 9.1/10 5. All I Need - This is a beautiful and tender song reflecting a beautifully tender album. I relate to this song heavily. Stellar 9.5/10 6. Faust Arp - I mean it's alright... Still a good song. I loved the string section. 7.8/10 7. Reckoner - Happy and somber. Loved the percussion throughout. Had a but of a 60s feel to it. I really liked that vocal break so well. 9/10 8. House of Cards - Yearning anthem. I really liked it. The lyrics are relatable and true for the most part. 9/10 9. Jigsaw Falling Into Place - 10/10 10. Videotape - Heartfelt. 9.5/10. That dra dra dum percussion made me think of someone's last moments. Nice touch considering the song's subject matter. Overall: 8.3. This was my second listen. I am definitely going to listen to this album again. More of an acquired taste - but an amazing experience overall

Definitely my favourite Radiohead album. One Radiohead album earlier this far, where I believe I explained how I've become a Radiohead fan by first listening to The Smile. Thats where the reason lay why I in particular like this album. Many of the track in this album reminds alot where later the music of The Smile would take it. Progressive, but yet somehow minimalistic would probably the best way for me to explain it. Another "issue" I see with the other Radiohead albums is the way many of the tracks resembles each other, while in this the track after another have much more clear distinctions. That's what makes this an interesting listening.

Highlights: Bodysnatchers; Nude; Weird Fishes/Arpeggi; Jigsaw Falling Into Place Lowlights: ----------------------- Liked this a lot, excited to listen to more from them.

Not as noisy and annoying as the last one but still just Radiohead.

Melancholic as Radiohead always is. A lot of people consider this to be one of the best albums of all time, so I gave it two playthroughs. It's definitely a good album, but not quite 5/5 good in my own opinion. Really liked Weird Fishes, excellent guitar on that track.

Someone in a bar once asked me which band I thought was better: Radiohead or the Beatles. Easy, I said, the Beatles released multiple albums per year and revolutionized rock. We waited years for a new Radiohead album and all we got was In Rainbows. OK, that was a bit harsh, but in retrospect it really was a sign that the band had peaked. There are some solid tracks. “Weird Fishes / Arpeggi” is the big stand-out. It still feels like a gut punch all these years later. I’m adding a star just for that one.

Always a classic. One of my favorites from Radiohead. Nude is one of the most hauntingly beautiful but sad songs. The mellow guitar work by Greenwood on that track always fills me joy, juxtaposing the melancholy of the track. That’s all to say nothing of Yorke’s subtly intense vocal work across the whole record. All I Need, Reckoner, Videotape, 15 Step, a great handful of tracks from this iconic outfit.

Love the first song especially. A little too moody for me today.

It came hace surprise, considering it's a Radiohead album. Easier to listen to than I expected, nice melodies, different styles, I liked it. 3,75/5.

Good album, better to the end. But in my view OK computer is way better. This has cool melodies but lacks the legendary lyrics. 4.2 stars

molto chill, bello

Falleg tónlist og góður heildarhljómur, 4 sléttir ekki meir

This sounds like exactly the record store I worked in and the moldy apartment I lived in when this came out

Maybe my 3rd or 4th favorite Radiohead album, very good.

Was not expecting this to be what the band that made Creep sounds like, somehow. I really liked it, though it was much more melancholy than I typically enjoy.

Not my first time listening to this. Amazing album to say the least. Incredible production and equally brilliant songwriting. Perfect balance between gloom and normalcy(there ain't happiness in a Radiohead track)

Fav Radiohead album

I know this is good, I just can't love it as much as I loved OK Computer. I remember when it came out, it was so innovative, everything about it was just like...."this is what the future could be..." but I just wasn't ready for it. Or want to be ready for it.

I think I’d say this is my 3rd favourite Radiohead album. Really shows Radiohead in a new light fully into the more modern digital era with the backing production whilst still feeling completely like them.

From what I have heard of Radiohead, this album seems to have the best elements of them with their really polished sounds in The Bends and their later, more experimental stuff in Kid A and Amnesiac. I might be completely wrong about this, but it is just great stuff. Also, shoutout to Jigsaw Falling into Places, as it is by far their best track.

By far the best Radiohead album I've heard!

Radiohead just has a lot of great musical ideas in this album and I love the way they're brought out either through any of the instruments or just the vocals. As an album it's a great listening adventure from start to finish. Great band chemistry overall. Favorite Song: Jigsaw Falling Into Place. 7.5/10

Makes me want to listen to In Rainbows from the basement. This one might grow on me, but it still feels a bit whimy.

Cool rhythms! My favourite was Weird Fishes/Arpeggi and my least favourite was Faust Arp.

One of radioheads best albums, stuffed with bangers. The songs on this record are pretty various, compared to other albums I’ve listened to, so far. Great vocals, melodies and instrumentation. The songs all have a good length and are built interestingly.

Can't go wrong with Radiohead.

383/1089 - I think this record strikes a balance between the electronic and rock styles Radiohead is known for. I'm really between a 4 and a 5. I think all the songs are cool and well made but I also think I bought too much into the hype of everyone, both people in real life and online, calling it their "Magnum Opus" and "a 10/10" and sullied my experience in a way. Thom's vocals are a bit on the grating side on this one as well.

I’ve only ever heard their first album back when it came out and I liked it enough that I saw them play in a small club. For some strange reason I’ve managed to never hear any of their albums since even though I’ve heard all the praise over the years. Sometimes it seems that exposure to music is all about the company that you keep and I guess I just never knew anyone who was really into their later albums and showed them to me. It sure was great to finally get to one and this listen was great! This is absolutely great, creative, pop music. I’m assuming there’s a few more of their albums coming up but I’ll likely get to them soon now that I know what incredible recordings I’ve been missing!

This isn't my favourite Radiohead album and I hadn't listened to it in full before, but it is bloody great, isn't it? Radiohead have always been, and will always be, catnip to alternative music lovers whether we like it or not. Ol' Thom might be a problematic fave, contemporary-dancing his way into some centrist-at-best opinions, by my oh my does he steam a good electronic music ham. Cudos Thom! Cudos!

Pretty good, reminded me of something, but I can't remember what now. Again, I probably won't like this as much as everyone else. 77/100

Only just a 4. Sorry Luke but this was a bit disappointing.

Pretty cool, not much else to say, a lack of rainbows perhaps?

I know some Radiohead songs, I have to at this point, my friends being as big fans as they are, but I don't know the albums very well other than by name. Of this and 'Kid A' the only other Radiohead album I have listened to in full, this was the better one. I feel like the songs in this one are largely better as well as feeling more memorable. From this album in particular I thought 'nude' and 'reckoner' (which I recognised the guitar riff to, despite not knowing the song) were good, 'Weird Fishes' was also very enjoyable, though I am still unsure how to pronounce the latter part of its name, saying that I wonder why the song is called that at all. My favourite of the album was probably 'All I need' a song I knew but not very well. I had heard the most about 'Jigsaw falling into place' but was somewhat underwhelmed, it was good (though I have little memory of the song even just a few hours later) but nothing special. Unsure whether to give this 79 or 80 out of 100, I feel given yesterdays ranking 80 is more fair. 80/100

Never heard them before. They gave sold more than 40 Mio records!! It's nice. Reminds me in some cases on Pink Floyd.

Incredible music. Groundbreaking at the time. Completely changed music.

i love radiohead

I think I had stopped listening to Radiohead by the time this album came out. That was a mistake. This was super enjoyable, sonically interesting, but less pretentious as prior albums. Still think OK Computer is their best.

This is as good of a Radiohead album as you're going to get

Another good album by Radiohead. Pitchfork: 9.3 Rolling Stone: Top 500 Albums #387 Best Songs Nude Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

I'm pretty sure In Rainbows is now the go to for "best Radiohead album" which is an interesting paradigm change from when I first looked into the band. Although, it does kind of make sense. In Rainbows is Radiohead's return to warmth after a bunch of increasingly abstract music (and the fiery, political Hail To Thhe Thief). The palette is more "rock", but some of the really abstract compositional elements from stuff like Kid A is still here, and the result is an album that has a dreamlike element to it. I think In Rainbows is also probably the most accessible Radiohead album for people who don't like Brit-pop. Anyways, In Rainbows is not my favorite Radiohead album, and I don't think it's perfect. But the strength of the writing here is undeniable, and there are a few moments of *jawdropping* beauty. My biggest issue is a matter of preference really: songs like 15 Step, Bodysnatchers (to a lesser extent), and Weird Fishes/Arpeggi are daring combinations of rock and electronic that advance the band's sound in a cool way, but this half rock, half techno pocket is also just not my favorite mode to hear Radiohead in. Aside from that, I'm not always down for House Of Cards, but it is a good song. My favorite songs here are the ones that really embrace just escalating, ascending beauty. Nude, All I Need, and Videotape are lifechanging, and absolutely perfect. And on the other side of things, the rock songs here I truly love are Reckoner and Jigsaw Falling Into Place. Reckoner has incredible, Rattling Percussion, and gorgeous vocals. And Jigsaw Falling into place puts Thom Yorke's Pynchon-esque fascination with paranoia at the front and center, selling it with a super tense structure and spidery arpeggios. At the end of the day, it's albums like this that make me wish this website had a 4.5, just like Sgt. Pepper. I don't think this is quite perfect, but it is fantastic, and really deserves more than a 4. That being said, there is an appreciable gap between this and my favorite Radiohead albums, so to illustrate that, I am going to give this a 4.

This is one of my favorite albums already. But when i first listened to this each song feels and looks exactly like the cover. It’s such a weird and space feeling like album.

Love this album! One of my favorites. 4.3

okay maybe radiohead are actually good

Dis is Gud... but not computer gud

RIP Rasmus' lille hjerne. Virkelig fedt album. 4½

Another good RH Album. Not as many bangers as some of the others.

I very much enjoyed this album listen from Radiohead. I realized while listening to this album that I’ve listened to many of these songs prior but never as a collective. ‘15 Step’ will always have a special place in my heart because yes I was a Twilight girl in middle school/high school. Overall, I thought this was a great alt-rock/electronic album and I would listen to it again in the future!

OH MY GOODNESS there are so many good songs on here that are near and dear to my heart

one of my favorite albums from them, so many songs I love and def a little bit of a different vibe when compared their other ones rating: 8.7/10 fav track: videotape or all I need

Asa deci cel mai mult îmi place Videotape, All I Need si Jagsaw Falling Into Place. Cred ca la tot albumul ii dau un 8

Really enjoyed this

Apparently this is a hot take but this has been my favorite Radiohead album. Way less whiny than the others and has some different elements, some songs even having a White Stripes sound. Definitely liked it.

great, love Weird Fishes/Arpeggi + Videotape

It's been a few years since I sat down with this one. First thing that hits is how intimate everything feels. The instrumentation creates a very layered and textured atmosphere, shifted around the space by low-end pressure and fidgety, disrupting rhythms. Yorke functions more as an instrument than the source of energy, always part of the arrangement, not sitting on top of it. A cinematic record I need to make more time in the rotation for.

Thoughts on Thom Yorke pre-listen: Thom Yorke is a pretentious, conceited music snob for assholes. After listening to In Rainbows by Radiohead: Wait, Thom Yorke is the singer for Radiohead? hahaha... lil blind spot, I guess. Anywho, the vocals kind of creep me out at times, but I really like the mood and atmosphere created on this album. Each listen brings me closer to floating in the amorphous goo.

Seductive restraint with flashes of transcendence.

ya lo había escuchado pero poniéndole más atención me gusta mucho su vibra la letra y en general el concepto del álbum me gustó mucho

Hmm...this was another hard rating for me. I came into this knowing barely anything about Radiohead but hearing all the hype, so I'm not sure if this album was a good place to start. I did like it, I'd say it's probably a 4.5, so that means I have to decide whether to round up or down. The first thing I noticed is that I usually couldn't understand the lyrics clearly because Thom Yorke seems to blend all the syllables together, but I liked his voice for the most part. As far as musicality I thought the album was really interesting. I was intrigued right away since the meter of the first song was in 5, which is fairly unusual for popular music. I noticed some other different meters through the album too, as well as interesting chord structures. I actually listened to the full album a second time to focus a little more on lyrics since I didn't really catch much the first time. I think I'm going to go with 4 stars for now and maybe reevaluate in the future if I listen again.

throwback to when i got this for free; very atmospheric; 4 stars for me. interested to listen to more Radiohead and see their progression through albums since i haven't really explored them much before

классный альбом, просто чиллишь под него

One of my absolute favourite comfort listens, have heard this one countless times before, Radiohead at thei absolute best. Thom Yorks vocals are incredible, and the song structures are amazing. This is a bit of a tricky one to rate, as I dont feel it necissarily does anything wrong, but it just never reaches perfection in my head.

I never really got the hype for this one, but it's still a damn fine album with some of their best songs and a huge step forward from Hail to the Thief. Also Bangers + Mash on Disk 2 is a fuckin tune.

15 step sets the tone for the album: dreamy, soothing, intimate and punchy. I need to sit on a beach at sunset and ponder my life as I listen to this.

Would actually give it a 4.5

Bodysnatchers 🤩

Strong album— not as good as Kid A— but still a good sound.

Fav: Jigsaw fallig into pieces New: Nude

a classic. made me feel cultured when recommended.

Overall, an enjoyable album. My favorite songs from the album were Faust Arp and Reckoner. I appreciated the more subdued songs in the second half of the album more—melancholic and introspective with a great deal of sadness yet a maintained wonder.

Nostalgic album

è stato bello che per una volta sia uscito un album di cui ho ascoltato alcuni pezzi dal vivo. tralasciando questo, in rainbows e the beds sono i miei preferiti.

pretty fire!

Was familiar with Radiohead but had never listened to this album. I enjoyed it. Favourite song on first listen was Jigsaw Falling into Place.

pretty good, fav was bodysnatchers

I haven’t listened to every single Radiohead album quite yet, but so far this is by far my favorite of their albums. It just has so much energy and charm that most of their albums don’t have. I also think this is one of their least pretentious albums, like it’s much more accessible than some of their other work. There’s still some stuff on the album that sorta turned me off like they always find a way to do. But there’s also some of my favorite Radiohead songs of all time like “bodysnatchers”. Seriously if someone told me they didn’t think they liked Radiohead but they were willing to listen to a recommendation, THIS album would be the recommendation.

Nigdy nie słuchałam tego w całości! Strasznie ciekawe, na pewno mniej sad niż ok computer. Nie jestem fanką Radiohead, ale doceniam

Radiohead first day? yes. Kind of music to create something or just lay down in bed and let time pass. Just existing.

Really good but short of great. Solid album with some touches of brilliance.

Trousers

I’ve heard some Radiohead’s tracks before, but never an entire album. I like getting into the artists head and seeing the concept and listening to the intentions that they wanted to express. I liked most of the tracks

Classic.

very moody

Этот радиохед мне понравился, будто бы назад к корням

Very nice. Masters of their craft just churning out another excellent batch of songs, not much more to it than that!

What a soft yet interesting sound. Very colorful, feels like a movie

Dreamlike, enjoyable!

Very beautiful, excellent display of guitar and vocals. No skips.

Really surprised. Never really liked Radiohead before but this one really clicked

I love it

Je le trouve vraiment vraiment dingue, rien que pour Jigsaw Falling Into Pieces

I'm actually surprised that I haven't listened to more Radiohead, as their music is right in my wheelhouse of stuff I tend to like. I guess I've sometimes felt that their music always seems the same to me. So, it was interesting listening to this album as a whole, as the songs were all very different. A bit mellow, but I enjoyed it!

I really wish Radiohead were more interested in melody and less in creating an atmospheric experience. This is good but I get bored of it.

This album pisses me off. Thom went and warbled some ghost vocals and dicked around with a drum machine and made it sound half good, and so every Tom Dick and Harry reckons they can "make it" too. Most of which made it onto this very website. Imagine being a Radiohead wannabe. Who wants to be those pricks?

Probably my favorite Radiohead album

A little melancholy, but not awful.

meh okay

Noch nicht ganz gehört aber man kennt classics

I know that In Rainbows was a commercially successful album, and that it brought Radiohead onto a lot of people’s radar, but compared to the rest of their catalog, it’s generic, shallow, and uninspired. The melodies and arrangements are straightforward, the lyrics are boring, and overall it sounds like Radiohead’s attempt at a commercial radio hit, and I suppose it was successful in that regard. It tries to make for the lack of musical complexity with reverb. The thing that makes Radiohead special is that whether or not you like them, their albums sound like no one else could have made them, and that just doesn’t ring true for In Rainbows. If you replace Thom Yorke’s vocals with someone less identifiable, I’m not sure it would really even still read as a Radiohead album. Nude finally makes an album appearance and is honestly the worse for it. For a song that was played live so much and floated around as an unreleased b-side, the boring and generic album version is a let down that feels emotionally neutered. The ending is formulaic and hackneyed. Faust Arp is one of the more interesting and complex tracks on the album, though it wouldn’t be the strongest track on an album comprised of songs from their prior (or later) eras. Reckoner has some harmonies reminiscent of the last half of Hail to the Thief, but the falsetto melody is a little much (even as someone who genuinely loves Thom Yorke’s idiosyncratic voice, it just reads as whiny when carried through the whole song). Jigsaw Falling Into Place also carries through the Hail to the Thief vibes, and I think is the strongest offering on the album. Though I suppose not technically part of the purview of this project, In Rainbows Disk 2 is actually better overall in my opinion. Go Slowly is better than most of the songs on the main album, Bangers + Mash is a (pardon the pun) banger, 4 Minute Warning is relatable and pleasant, and while I still think their album recordings of fan favorite unreleased tracks generally don’t live up to the versions that had been played for years, this version of Last Flowers suffers the least, remaining true to what we’ve heard and not mucked up by an attempt at reinvention.

Album d’anniversaire !

I love this album. Not sure it really merits 5 stars but 4 stars, yeah, easy.

belter

Never listened much to Radiohead previously and always was a bit sniffy about them , however I quite enjoyed this album and May therefore give others a listen . Despite not loving the vocals , a good arrangement of songs which showed a lot of talent and a few songs which I really enjoyed

This was a good album, I remember when it first came out and was like such a crazy idea to pay whatever you want for an album?! But it was a good one!

I love the song all I need. Good album.

It's fine. It's not Kid A or OK Computer but it's still solid.

Not as good as Ok Computer

lush and colorful while still being melancholy and self-reflective. now we're ALL having a cigarette while listening to this

15 step actually changed my life. the rest of the album is MY version of having a cigarette and contemplating life

This is a fantastic Radiohead album. I completely understand why it's considered their best, and why people like it so much, but I have strong biases that I'm slowly breaking down. In Rainbows features a balance of Ok Computer-era guitars and piano, mixed with Kid A and beyond electronics. The bleak and moody atmosphere of the record is palpable, but it also revels in something dreamy and forlorn. A beautiful record.

I was really into early Radiohead - Pablo Honey, The Bends. Then I went off them when they got more experimental. So it was interesting to listen to this with fresh ears. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

A great album - (do they even have a bad one?) Kid A is my bag, but this is close

A masterpiece. Not their best, though. I appreciate how it moves away from the more robotic, computer-driven era, but it doesn’t quite reach the same emotional depth for me. The melodies and lyrics are gorgeous, almost like free-falling while listening. The instrumentation shines, except for some drum/percussion moments that feel overly noisy. The guitars are gentile and embracing, while Thom Yorke’s distorted angelical voice puts me in a mood. A sad mood, lol, but it’s nice. Big fan of Nude, House of Cards, Jigsaw Falling Into Place - reminds the old Radiohead, but in a warmer, more mature place.

been waiting for this! never gave them a proper listen and only knew a handful of songs. have some friends that really like them. album was good! a worthy listen, honestly. i liked it, but not the most keen on this type of music.

4 and a bit.

What a great way to open a great album. Rhythmic wonderland throughout. Love songs with no love, just the potential for love. Radiohead seems always trying to not be a Radiohead album and largely succeeds.

I’m one from the camp of loving Radiohead. The first song (which was played at the end of Twilight) was a great start and it never wavered. Solid but not quite excellent enough.

This is fantastic. Love this amalgamation of synthetic and acoustic sounds, particularly the drums. It's masterful. Not exactly an easy album to warm up to, it took me many listens (before this) to really appreciate it. Doesn't even matter that I can only understand 45% of what he's saying. I think this is my fave of theirs post OK Computer, but I'd have to listen to the others in succession to stand behind that 100%. What does it matter? These guys charted new territory.

Thanks to all the great reviews my friends gave this and the fact that today's listen was Kid A (which I do like), I decided to go back to this one and give it another listen. This time I was able to focus on it better, and voila: I liked it more. Radiohead does have an incredible ability to create beautiful, haunting, and atmospheric sounds. I do still get a little Thom-Yorke fatigue, and the nonstop paranoia and claustrophobia gets a little much. But this is definitely their best post-Kid A album.

Great album but bound with so many teenage emotions and memories that I would rather leave in the past

First repeated band assignment. There was a time I’d point to In Rainbows as a personal favourite Radiohead album. I enjoyed the revisit, with some very high highs, but the lustre was a bit off the full package.

There’s going to be a lot of Radiohead on this list, isn’t there? This is both deserved and annoying

This is probably the best of the 4 RH albums this list has chucked at me, but it suffers from many of the same criticisms I have of the others - it's steeped in pretension and illusions of grandeur. Tell me I'm the best band in the world and I'll make the most middle of the road music that appeals to experts and plebs alike. Credit where it's due, there are some actually good songs on here, but if you consider this to be the best album ever made I think you need to hug a human being.

A beautiful album.

Didn't know any of the songs before I listened but I really like the sound and the mood. An album I would definitely like to revisit again.

I don't think I've actually listened to this album before. I really enjoyed it! The music is complicated and flows well.

Having only heard their singles, I never understood the hype around Radiohead. This album has intricacy that gives me an idea of why people are so into them. Worth more listens.

Loved this

This is the first Radiohead album that "clicked" for me, which is ironic since everyone seems to think this one is not as great. Anyhow, I think weird fishes/arpeggi is a really good song to listen while walking through the city

Saw them on the tour for this album in West Palm Beach. Liars opened and I may have booed them…

Idk. Good as background music, nothing wrong with it. But no really great song either.

I'll always prefer the Bends/ OK Computer era of Radiohead but did find this enjoyable, kind of hypnotic to listen to.

Second radio head album I've heard. I got hooked once weird fishes came on

First time listening to this and it rules. The sticky songs are sticking and the others are not but I will grow to appreciate them.

Изобретательные и с фантазией, хоть и нормальные.

Really really good. Not my favorite Radiohead album, but its best songs are up there with my favorite Radiohead songs.

Still not my favourite Radiohead album but it’s got hot competition! Brilliant none the less.

Math rock is not something I enjoy, however this is super well done. "House of Cards" is a great track. I could see this becoming a 5 upon further listening / dissection

I was torn between giving this album a three or four-star rating. If I heard the tracks individually, I don't think I would appreciate them that much. But together? It was a totally different experience. Favorite tracks: 15 Step, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, All I Need

I know ours good but I can just can’t make myself listen to Radiohead very often

This album starts slowly and finishes strong. When I first re-listened, I worried that I didn't like it as much as I remembered--I'm also not the biggest Radiohead fan. Then tracks four through six got me in a different groove. I still think too much Radiohead is bad for your heart, but they create unique songs and melodies. This is probably their second best album (behind 'The Bends'). Top tracks: "All I Need," "House of Cards," "Faust Arp," "Jigsaw Falling into Place" Sorry for offending you, Duckbill.

Fucking great. I don't even love Radiohead and it's great. What a treat.

One of their best.

Can I do 3.51 stars?

The first couple tracks were tedious, but there were several I very much enjoyed. I have never been a huge radiohead fan, but overall this was enjoyable

I love Radiohead. The sound is unique and creates such a vibe. Ethereal and relaxing but still edgy.

All I've heard from Radiohead was "Creep" So I was surprised to find out how much I like this album. very polished, well worth the listen

Walking around London in a mood

one of their best ones.

This was the first Radiohead record since their debut that didn’t completely blow my mind on first listen. Still a strong record, though not quite on the level of their six masterpieces.

7.5/10 not my typical genre, but i am aware of radiohead of course. really enjoyed this, however probably wouldn’t revisit. but it definitely feels ahead of its time in the rock category. impressed

ben wel fan van radiohead goed album
