The TheIt sort of reminds me of a less dark early Depeche Mode. On the whole, not a bad album.
It sort of reminds me of a less dark early Depeche Mode. On the whole, not a bad album.
It's okay. I normally like most of Kraftwerk's stuff, but this was just okay. I could listen to it as it was pretty well suited to a background electronic ambience kind of situation. I doubt I'd seek it out of its own accord though.
A classic album. I like a lot of the songs on it, but while the rest is okay, none of them are really bad.
This is quite a delightful album of covers of standards by Willie.
It's a nice relaxed album with a couple songs that still stand up and have even had (less good) covers done of them.
Honestly, I'm not feeling it. Bowie's style, in general, just doesn't appeal to me. Sometimes it can grate on me, similar to Bjork.
It's a nice easy listening album. Probably not one I would specifically seek out, but wouldn't turn off either if it came on.
There are a couple good songs on that album that have become classics. Personally, I don't feel the rest of the album was anything I'd really seek out in the future.
This is an amazing album with a lot of classic songs. It's a high energy album that is just super fun to listen to.
This really surprised me. I like this album more than I thought I would.
I'm not normally a big Bob Dylan fan, and I groaned a bit when I saw this come up, but it was surprisingly good. It doesn't sound like the earlier stuff that I normally associate with him. It's very bluesy and I dig it.
I didn't know what to expect, but this was a delightful listen. It turns out it is a piano concert.
A nice "world beats" album by a guy I've never heard of. Totally listenable.
Personally, I'm a little hit and miss with The White Stripes, but this was a pretty good one.
I can listen to it if I have to, but I think I would normally change the channel pretty quickly if it were on the radio. I would rate it as mediocre.
Not a bad little album. I don't resonate with all the songs on it, and I think I prefer some of her other stuff over what is on this particular album, but overall not a bad album.
I'm not a super big fan of the punk genre, and this feeling continues as I listen to this album. It's not completely terrible, but definitely not something I would seek out.
I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but it doesn't really stand out as being much. It's an okay album, but nothing to write home about. I can listen to it if I had to, but it's wouldn't be my first choice.
Initially, this album kinda sucks. If I get half way through an album and it grates my nerves every step of the way, I just can't finish it. I tried, but dang it sucks.
Definitely listenable. I tend to think of them as some of the original goth music, and it still fits, in my opinion.
This was a nice easy listening album. I could potentially find myself listening to it again of my own accord.
I'm going to put this firmly in the "Enh, it's okay" category.
Not a bad album. There are a couple of really good songs and the rest are pretty listenable.
It's not bad. I could listen to it if someone else wanted to, but I don't see myself seeking it out on my own.
This album showed me that I really didn't know much about Frank Zappa. It has a strong jazzy mixed with rock kind of feel to me. I may have to seek out some more of Zappa's stuff. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
It's a great album and Sam Cooke is an exceptional performer. My only critical comment toward it is that I just don't typically care for live albums. I think it would've been better had it been a studio album.
I'm not really digging it. It sounds like a group trying to meld punk with 60's beach music (at times). Some songs are listenable, but in general, It's just not working for me.
It's okay. I normally like most of Kraftwerk's stuff, but this was just okay. I could listen to it as it was pretty well suited to a background electronic ambience kind of situation. I doubt I'd seek it out of its own accord though.
This is a pretty decent album. I like that Chali 2na is part of this group. I really like his voice and delivery. I'm pleasantly surprised. I like rap albums where the lyrics really flow with the music and not sounding like a train wreck like so much crap out there. Seriously, this album is pretty sweet.
I wasn't familiar with most of the songs on this album. It was surprisingly good. A bit bluesy with that early rock/r&b sound.
This only somewhat sounds like The Doors that I'm used to. Even still, it's not a bad listen at all!
Enh. It's okay, but nothing to write home about. I could easily live my life by not listening to it again and be okay.
I had a hard time with this one. It seems like it wants to be a rock band with a bunch of needless noise at times. I just couldn't finish it.
There are a handful of quite good songs on this album, but mixed in with some other stuff that I'm not terribly fond of. This would definitely be an album that, if I were to buy it, would prefer to buy only the songs that I'm actually interested in and skip the rest.
Classic AC/DC. I dig it.
Other than the song "Every Breath You Take" and a couple others, this wasn't a very good album on the whole.
I didn't know what to expect, but this was a pleasant album to listen to. Very relaxed. I'm not sure if it's something I'd intentionally seek out, but I would have no problem listening to it again.
It's the album "Paint it Black" is on. While that song is a classic, the rest of the album is just okay.
This was a surprisingly chill album. Not very long and an easy listen.
Very jazzy. Not bad, but, in my opinion, not super exceptional either. That being said, it still wasn't a bad listen.
It wasn't bad, but I didn't notice anything super exceptional either.
This was a really nice album. I could totally listen to this any time.
I'm not really a fan of this one. Some heavy metal is pretty good, and this had a couple decent songs, but I didn't care for most of it.
For a David Bowie album, it was pretty decent. I'm sure it goes into a whole story that I was unable to truly appreciate due to listening to it at work, but from a musicality standpoint, it wasn't a bad listen.
This turned out to be a really good album. I'm glad to have discovered it!
I really have no clue what I just listened to. While not the worst thing I've ever listened to, I definitely won't be seeking it out again in the future.
This was a delightful album. I could definitely listen to it again!
This turned out to be a pretty decent album. A folk rock with a Scottish feel to it.
This was pretty good. I had only heard of the group The Band, but wouldn't have been able to name any songs specifically. All in all, a pretty good album.
I actually really do enjoy this album. I consider it one of my guilty pleasures. A lot of people may not care for her style, but you cannot deny that she has an awesome voice!
This is a nice, solid classic rock album.
It's not a terrible album. Very much a product of the 60s British Rock invasion sound. I don't know if I'd purposefully seek it out again, but it wasn't bad.
It's really nothing special. Not particularly good, but also not particularly bad. I can listen to it, but there really isn't anything there to really reach out to me to bring me back in after this initial listen.
I've never actually listened to a Black Sabbath album all the way through before even though I was familiar with them and a number of their songs. This turned out to be a pretty good album and is the one on which the song Iron Man debuted.
It's a good, easy listening album, if you like reggae. Had some classics on there.
It was surprisingly not bad. Probably not going to seek it out again, but would definitely listen to it.
This is a pretty good classic rock album and the source of a few songs that I was aware of, but wasn't aware of who sang them. All in all, pretty good stuff.
I wasn't aware of most of the songs on this album, but, overall, it was a pleasant album to listen to. I think I was more aware of the '70s disco side of the Bee Gees and less of this side of them. It was quite nice!
Not gonna lie, I did not expect to like this album. To my amazement, it turned out to be a really good one. Each song tells a detailed story. Maybe it's just a difference of country and western songs from the '50s versus today? Now, I don't know if I would seek it out again, but I really did enjoy it.
I don't think I've heard this album in its entirety before, but it has some classics on it like "Me and Julio down by the schoolyard". I would totally listen to it again!
This album was better than I was anticipating it to be. Quite listenable.
Good album. Very easy to listen to and is classic Pink Floyd.
It sort of reminds me of a less dark early Depeche Mode. On the whole, not a bad album.
Not a bad album. It's the source of the song Kashmir. I'm not sure if it's my favorite Led Zeppelin album, but it's pretty decent.
That was one of the better David Bowie albums I've listened to. It also showed me that I never knew who actually sang the song "Changes" until I heard it on this album.
As with most Beach Boys albums, it was pretty decent.
This was a pretty good album with a lot of classic The Doors songs!
This was a fun album. Classic hip-hop and funk.
There are a couple good songs on here. Not a bad listen.
Not a bad album. I was really surprised to hear a classical piece as well as what sounds something like a classical acoustic guitar piece (Mood for a Day), which I happened to really like.
I like this better than I thought I would. While I doubt I will seek it out again in the future, it wasn't a bad background listen.
I didn't realize this was by the same artist who was the vocals for the Knife. I can see how it might not be for everyone, but I rather like it.
I'm really not feeling this one. It definitely has what might be considered a strong emo/goth sound. That can be okay sometimes, but it's not my everyday kind of listen. In fact, the more I listen to it, the less I care for it.
A pretty good listen.
Classic Talking Heads sound. On the whole, it's not really my thing, but it's also not that bad either. I could listen to it again.
I had never listened to the whole album before, but I do like the title track. Overall, a decent album.
I rather like this album. I don't think I had ever heard of it before, but I really dig it. The more I listen to it, the more I like it! Solid.
Classic Public Enemy. That goes back a ways. Still not a bad listen after all these years.
Classic Hendrix. Always a timeless listen.
This was a good album. Cohen's songs have such a story-telling kind of feel to them.
All in all, a decent album and the source of two everlasting songs by them: "It's the End of the World as we Know It" and "The One I Love".
It's a catchy album, and I see why it's very popular, but I personally have a problem with the level of violence portrayed.
I don't know why I was surprised, but this turned out to be a very listenable album. I wouldn't object if it came back up again in my listening.
A few good songs on there, but I realized by listening to it, that I didn't care for the songs that didn't actually make it to the radio.
All in all, a good album. I only recall being familiar with "Sunday Bloody Sunday", but this was a solid album.
This was a good album. I hadn't listened to the entire thing before, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the entire album is easy to listen to.
Now that is the sound of a specific point in time right there. All in all, not a bad album.
I couldn't finish it....
This is a nice easy listening album. Nothing in particular really stands out to me, but I could easily listen to this just about any time.
Will I listen to it again? Probably not. However, it wasn't bad. "Pinball Wizard" was the best song on the album, when listening to it from a straight music standpoint. But, seeing as how the entire album is a story from beginning to end, it's best to treat it as the soundtrack to a Rock Opera.
When this album first came out I wasn't a fan, but I've grown to really like it.
