I really quite liked it. Makes me wish scissor sisters clashed with the 1975 instead of Charli xcx.

Fell in love with a girl clears
Surprised the rating for this one isn't higher tbh

All Ratings
Jazz isn't really my thing but this is quite pleasant and chill. Apparently there was a lot of improvisation and very little rehearsal which makes it even more impressive that it sounds so nice. Flamenco sketches was the most laid back and I really liked it despite it being the only one from this album not in his ten most popular.
Easy listening. Basically every song would work well during a night talking with friends. The guy was in A Tribe Called Quest apparently.
Fairly good. Quite a variety of songs some much better than others.
Considering all I know U2 for is having one of their albums forced into every iTunes library and nobody liking that I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. Pretty damn good especially the first few songs.
Fairly good songs in this album. Don't think I've listened to any of them before, at least not actively. 'Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard' sounded familiar and was brilliant. 'Paranoia Blues' was surprisingly good.
'Top Jimmy' made me think this would be a fairly good album, 'Drop Dead Legs' put a swift end to that. 'Panama' is excellent and easily the best song on this album. I'm not actually a big fan of 'Jump', maybe I just think it's too long or overplayed. 'Hot for Teacher' could have been good if it was about something that isn't so damn cringe for 27-30 year olds to write. I don't think I've ever been excited about a guitar solo and they often feel a little unnecessary. This album is primarily guitar solos.
A little long but I must say I'm surprised by how enjoyable this was.
With a lot of these songs I feel so close to really enjoying them but some aspect of them is holding me back. Maybe this is something that will diminish with time and further listening. The Wikipedia articles I read about this album and it's loose influence, Philip K Dick, were very interesting. Cotton crown was probably my favourite.
'Workin Day and Night' might just be one of my favourites of his. I can't believe I'd never heard it before. Solid album all round.
Depressing as hell. Wasn't really that into it.
Not sure where the lofi is but very good.
The first three songs are really really good but it goes downhill a bit from there. No idea why it's on this list but I can't say I'm too upset that it is.
Some good songs on here but I probably wouldn't listen to this album again.
Very good, very nice.
Abysmal. The very few good parts aren't even whole songs but sections of songs. Not even possible to just listen to the good bits.
Wasn't really listening properly but it seemed okay I suppose.
Alright album. No real standouts but no bad songs either.
Boring and unenjoyable.
Some good songs on here. Kanye sure was talented before he went insane.
Not atrocious. One good song in there, most of them are fine. Far, far, far too long. Maybe it should be 1 star instead?
Incredible.
Sitting by a river is a perfect place to listen to this album. Some damn good songs on here and very enjoyable overall.
Perfectly fine album. Certainly didn't hate it or anything. Either 2 or 3 stars I'm not really sure.
Aight I guess I don't know
Just a bit generic. Wasn't really interested. Could probably be 3 stars instead of I was in a better mood.
Fine. A bit boring, but fine. Good background music for a restaurant I suppose.
Weird. Not the worst but not great.
Some good bits in there but again surrounded by a sea of 'fine I suppose'
Pretty good. Sounds a lot like Elvis but I'm not sure who came first. Probably this guy if his nickname is anything to go by.
Nice album. Some really good songs on this one even though I don't really think country is my thing. Life in prison is a very strange song. Perhaps I'm missing something but it's just a guy feeling sad because he killed his wife??
Not as good as some of the other hip hop albums I've heard so far but still pretty good.
Not bad, just didn't really like it much.
Love some Adele
Han Solo :)
Not bad but large chunks of it were just guitar solos.
Very enjoyable, "Money's too tight" and "Heaven" are good but the last two songs are really boring. Much better than I was expecting.
Not bad. No songs particularly stood out to be though.
Perfectly fine.
Great album. I don't know if I would have appreciated it as much if I hadn't seen a complete unknown. "It's alright ma" was shit though.
It's crazy just how much better their hit is than the rest of the album. A few others are not bad but overall it's just fine. Maybe this should actually be 2 stars idk.
Take away the first song and you have an album that is 'fine' at best. It's crazy to me that the stones don't actually have a 'main' album and that all their hits are spread around.
'let's call the whole thing off' is annoying the hell out of me. It just keeps going. How did she find so many things to pronounce? Boring and too long but 1 star feels too harsh.
I know he's done a lot of Disney songs but god it's strange listening to this.
Wonderful stuff
I really wanted to like this more than I did. Some good songs on here, particularly 'closer'. The industrial sound might take some getting used to and the album felt like it dragged a bit. Hurt doesn't hold a candle to the cover by Johnny cash.
Perhaps a little generous.
First song is very papers please. Not a fan of 'pretty things', his voice sounds very whiney. Overall it's too long and whiney for my liking. 2 might be a bit harsh but oh well.
First song made me think I wouldn't like it but it grew on me
Not bad just wasn't feeling it
It's aight. A few good songs here and there.
I can't tell if I'm being too generous with some of these. This could probably be a 2 as well.
Didn't really enjoy it :/
Interesting but a bit odd
Good album. Very enjoyable. Intro sucks ass though.
Excellent.
Not bad but not as good as the other deep purple album. None of the songs really stood out to me on their own.
Very nice
Hell yeah
Pleasant but just makes me feel like I'm in a hotel lobby. Jazz really isn't my thing.
Just felt whiney as hell
Funky
Pleasant
'One of those things' being just okay and how chill 'reminisce pt 2' was have narrowly saved this from being a 1. 'Listen to this' came in like a nasally jumpscare. How do you have a 12 minute song and still manage to make all the others feel too long. This could have very easily been a 1 and perhaps it still should be. 'the waltz' is 8 minutes long. Nevermind. This shit is a 1.
There are a few good songs on here but as a while the album is slow, boring, and too long.
Good album. Very interesting life. I think I prefer Femi kuti over this album but they should both be 4 stars. Although I apparently rated Femi kuti 3 at the time.
There were some interesting songs but I want feeling it overall. 2 might be too harsh.
The best song on here was a cover. Songs ranged from fine to boring.
All over the place. Not bad but not great.
I like it.
I really quite liked it. Makes me wish scissor sisters clashed with the 1975 instead of Charli xcx.
Pretty middle of the road album. Maybe it should be 2 stars instead.
Probably wouldn't listen to any of these songs by themselves but the album as a whole is really nice.
Wanky long songs but they weren't terrible.
Doing my bit for the global rating.
It's fine. Second song was really good. Bit distracted while listening.
It's a perfectly fine album. Cloudburster was perfect walking speed
And the 5s have it
It's fine. Very 60s sounding. Just like all the other byrds albums.
So boring. Sleep inducing even.
Peasant enough but I can't shake the feeling that it would be better while watching the movie it was made for.
Pretty boring honestly. Couple good bits in there but it's just too long. 1 feels slightly unfair though.
Can't even say I enjoyed part of it.
Good but nothing really stood out to me.
28 songs in 41 minutes is insane. I don't know about this one. It wasn't the worst but I'll also never listen to any of the songs either on their own or as part of this album again. Tinny and hissy wasn't particularly pleasant. Maybe I'm being too harsh but it just didn't work for me.
I quite like it. Very varied but enjoyable. Just gets a 4 I'd say.
Pleasant while walking but did drag a little by part IIc. Any other day it would have been a 2. Story behind it was interesting.
It's not bad but the Wikipedia blub makes it sound way better than it is. I'm sure in the right scenario this could be a 4 or maybe even a 5 but for now it's a 3.
Boring ballads. Good for focusing on work but I would probably not enjoy actively listening to them.
Fun
Pretty nice. Way to blue reminds me of feed the birds from Mary Poppins somehow.
It sounds like a Christmas album.
Just kinda boring.
It's good but I'm sure it's not his best.
Actually really liked it. Wish it wasn't so long. Nobody needs a double album.
It's fine. He's okay. Inoffensive.
Brilliant stuff. Never heard them before.
Some brilliant songs scattered among some forgettable fluff. Better than most of the albums I've given 3 however.
Funky indeed
One incredible song the rest were pretty shit. Not a good album overall.
Very nice, very cool. Had only really heard one of these before but they all go hard.
Not bad
Interesting and dull at the same time. Maybe it was interesting how dull it was.
Not unpleasant for the most part except that one song with a peaking microphone in the background. That song would have been my favourite if it weren't for that.
Better hits on this one but I slightly prefer blood sugar sex magik
It's alright got more into it by the end
Recognised the first song immediately. Whole thing was pleasant all the way through bar one song.
Forgettable, whiney, doesn't even work well as background music.
Good and fun but not anything special
Shit but vaguely entertaining in some kind of way. Hope Spotify doesn't start recommending these songs to me.
Hit after hit
One or two were pretty okay idk
Fine
Generally very good
I preferred it to hounds of love or whatever but some of the end songs aren't it
Fucking hell that was awful. Every single song felt like a slog in its own right, let alone the whole album. There was a bit that I quite liked and I wanted to know what song it was that had just started. I was 7 minutes in to a 12 minute song. 30 seconds later it was back to being crap. Skipped through feedback hoping to find some actual music at some point but no. No music. Awful. Should have given up after track 1.
Pretty good. Loved the first song the rest were generally good too.
Way better than 1984.
Good voice but terribly boring songs. Not great.
Not bad. Liked the first song.
Wasn't as into it as I was hoping
Fine but didn't feel like anything particularly special.
Good but not particularly memorable
I liked it
Incredible stuff. Cocaine blues in particular. This whole album is fantastic.
I like some Eminem but this wasn't it
Boring. Not necessarily bad just boring. Cool drink of water blues sucks though. That one was almost painful.
It's aight
Groundbreaking once, now just a bit dull.
She always comes across like she has no respect for her fans and this album wasn't that interesting.
Eh it's alright
It's not bad but I feel like I'd appreciate it more if I was alive at the time or more into nirvana
What an insanely unpleasant album. Not one redeeming quality.
It's alright. I reckon I'd get more into it if I listened to it a few more times.
Incredible album. Falls somewhat in the second half but brings it back with the last song.
Good at times, less good at others. Generally not bad though.
Not bad but should have been shorter. Not their best.
Good album. Preferred his first one but this is still good.
Really quite good
Maybe it should be a 4 instead idk. It's good but I'm not sure about it overall.
Fine but kinda boring
Even the really long songs were enjoyable.
Sings like Hugh Jackman. Not really my thing.
Second half is better than the first.
Preferred the other hole album but maybe it'll grow on me
I probably would have given it a 2 perhaps a 3 on another day but the guys a rapist and did an astro world before it was cool.
Never listened all the way through before but this is excellent stuff.
I just wasn't that into it. I dunno
Better than a lot of the other 2000s prog rock but still not amazing
Probably okay background music. The kind that is played so quietly you don't even notice when it stops but it's pleasant nonetheless.
I didn't like most of Buckingham's songs and it felt like nicks was doing a lot of the heavy lifting on this album. Would have probably been better if Buckingham hadn't contributed at all.
What possessed them to write a ballad to Israel? Only a couple of good bits in this album but nowhere near enough.
A few genuinely very good bits in here but the album as a whole wasn't that great
Piece of my heart is great, but I'm not a huge fan of the rest. Joplin's voice borders on grating.
A few good songs in the middle but I definitely preferred his other album
Loses momentum half way through. Some great songs I had never heard before on here.
I was expecting something more for a band I had heard so much about. The album was strangely quiet and gave me Christmas vibes towards the end. The best song was the one that was the most different to the rest of the album.
Where's crab rave?
Of all the artists that have come up, I was the most surprised to see Justin Timberlake. The album was produced by the Neptunes with songs originally for Michael Jackson and you can really tell. That being said Justin Timberlake fucking sucks. Boring album with lifeless singing over the top. Made my train journey feel twice as long as it was. Dreadful stuff.
Some beastie boy songs are good on their own but this album doesn't have any of them and any more than 4 minutes of then in a row starts to get old. Lyrics aren't cleaver, voice is grating. I just don't think I really like the beastie boys.
I'd give it 4 if Iggy pop hadn't included his pedophilia anthem on this album. He was 30 when he wrote this.
Not particularly exciting with some really quite dumb lyrics
Eh. It's fine. Don't kill me Phil.
Clearly very talented and would probably make good background music.
Some good some less good. Why would anyone make Satan. Not bad overall.
Beautiful album. Did feel like it dragged a little. No bad songs on here. Female country singers are definitely better than male country singers.
Very enjoyable
Pretty fun
Yeah Bob Dylan's good at what he does. Who knew!
There's a reason nobody ever plays any of the other songs.
Some good songs but also some pretty boring sections in there that really let the album down
A very interesting album which I must say I enjoyed more than the doors album I got yesterday. I'm not sure where exactly to place this as 3 feels low but 4 feels too high. I'm hindsight I was probably too harsh on the nine inch nails album and maybe that should have been a 4 and this a 3. N.W.O and Jesus Built my Hotrod are the best two songs on here.
Low 4 high 3 just didn't connect with it that much
The second half of the album is one hell of a step down from the first half but fuck it 5 stars for those singles.
Easy listening
Pretty shit honestly
Undoubtedly important and influential just not really my thing. It's tricky and walk this way are undeniable classics though. You be illin was pretty funny as well.
Not bad but a little bloated. Low 4 I'd say.
It's not even unpleasant to listen to or anything. I just wouldn't ever want to. And Tom Waits is not even remotely funny or interesting despite his best efforts.
Not for me. Idrk why.
Very nice. Second half dips a little but still great stuff.
Not my kind of music and too long. Was waiting for it to be over. Song with Noel Gallagher is kinda good though.
So very boring.
It's fine I suppose.
Great fun very nice. Bit of a slow start considering they are singles, but then half the album is singles.
Funky
Nowhere as good as the other two of his I've heard. Someone should have confiscated his harmonica. Considered giving it a 2 but that felt a little too unfair.
Pleasant
Very easy listening. Title track is the most energetic for sure.
What an incredibly mediocre album.
The second half came to the rescue in a big way. I should relisten to the first one because I think I was a bit harsh.
Pretty good honestly.
Fantastic stuff. A little long but very enjoyable.
Pretty interesting. Huge variety of genres in here. Lost me a bit in the middle but I liked it.
Not bad
Just boring as hell. Not much more I can say.
Webcam mic. I hoped I would enjoy the non-hits more than I did but it's still a great album.
Some good songs and not bad at all but not the most interesting
It couldn't be anything else
Great first song. Pretty good last song. The middle? Meh. Not for me.
Pleasant enough but not particularly interesting or exciting.
Not bad or anything but it's just a bunch of covers
Two decent songs at the start then I spent the rest of my walk waiting for this to end do I can listen to something else
Really liked this album. Especially compared to the albums I've gotten recently.
Quite like the sound but the lyrics are rough
Couple good song but it's not great. I don't even think it's a particularly good example of grime.
The rolling stones really are just 'fine'. I would have preferred the us version. Shorter and with paint it black.
This album's just fine.
Started with the best song then just got worse and kept on going and going
Enjoyable
Eh
Grew on me
Not my bag.
Better than the other album I had by them but I just don't care for the beastie boys.
Pleasant
It's alright I suppose. Nothing really stood out though.
Not as good as master of puppets. Low 3 I guess.
A little weak between the hits but god damn are those three songs excellent
Over it after just 4 songs
Nice but just that
Just missing Eminem
Pretty good
Beautiful voice but not really my thing
Sound track for a guy walking around a rundown town and reminiscing. Would have gone hard during COVID.
I wasn't expecting this album to be so good. Didn't really like moonchild much but that doesn't change my rating.
Beautiful. I still think I prefer his first one but I definitely preferred this to pink moon
It has to be
The perfect soundtrack to get fired to.
Some absolute bangers but a little too star spangled for me
Just not very interesting. Dull voice dull songs
Interesting to hear Iggy pops earlier stuff. Nodding off during the album but I don't think that's related to the quality or anything.
A couple bangers but were the interludes necessary
Shit
Interesting in places but not fantastic overall
Can't ignore those bangers
Just not very good
Not bad but I didn't connect with it
Every song hits
Good album but no outstanding songs
Less harmonica! God's light shines upon us this day!
Good but I much prefer Sound of Silver
I fw it
Mysterious sounding. Very movie soundtrack.
Pretty good. Title track was the best.
A couple good songs but I don't want to listen to the second half to see if there are any more.
Pretty good but dwarfed by born in the USA
Shit slaps
Fun album
Good atmospheric background music but not really my thing
To long but pretty good otherwise
Good music but wow Sumner's voice is hit or miss
Background music. Way better than getting from LA but still not great.
Good but not as good as IV
Pretty fun
A lot better than his other album but could have done without the animal noises
Fell in love with a girl clears
Wanky fuckers
Honestly goes kinda hard. Plus his harmonica usage is way less jarring than Bob Dylan's.
Quite liked this. Didn't blow me away but was consistently good.
Pretty good but a bit too long
Not Bad
Very background music. Nothing particularly special.
Steely Dan back at it again
Surprised the rating for this one isn't higher tbh
Just not very good. Don't particularly like this voice here.
Neil young is actually pretty good. Who knew.
Justice for Heidi
One of the greatest of all time
Really good album. Some of the covers are improvements, some just don't work here but still an incredible listen. Taking big iron out in the reissue it's criminal.
Not sure what to make of that but it certainly wasn't bad
Not bad necessarily but I just didn't get into it at all.
I really like not if you were the last junkie so I was excited for this album but it was just so disappointing. Every day should be a holiday was pretty good though.
Pretty good but it's just too nice outside for this to have the impact it deserves.
"Instilled in the band a contempt for everything American" Big up Albarn
Just a nothing album. Entirely forgettable.
Was expecting metal but was not at all disappointed.
The actual music was okay I suppose maybe a 2/3 but kid rock can piss off
Just such a nothing album. Not bad, not good, not interesting, not fun.
Brilliant stuff
Pretty nice album
Not bad but it just isn't my kind of music
Obnoxious but I didn't hate it
Hotel California brings this up to a 5 easily. The rest of the album is really good too no wonder it's one of the best selling albums ever.
Was wondering if it was as good as his first prison album then in comes the back to back San Quentin
Pretty good
Just boring. Inoffensive but boring.
Not big on Radiohead but this was much better than the last album of theirs I had.
I wake up every day glad that mediocre country has remained confined to the hellscape that it crawled out from
Not bad
I just don't like jazz that much and the third part was annoying as hell
Not bad, a couple songs I had heard before.
I liked the first song but the rest of the album wasn't so interesting
This is fine, a couple good, many mediocre. Heard worse rap albums by far
I have decided I just don't like jazz
Mediocre as fuck
There is only one option for an album like this
Interesting history and ok album
Pleasant background music
What was that saying about clocks? It's on the tip of my tongue :/
Nice album
It's aight
Shit slaps
It's aight but not particularly exciting
Not even bad but the fact that the original isn't even on Spotify and it's 2 hours long annoyed me a little
Pretty good but an hour is a lot of fiddling
Aisha kinda brought it back but I'm not sure about this rating
Bigger hits than off the wall but not quite as good overall imo. Still one of the greats.
Miles and miles better than sign of the times oh my god
I just thought it was uninteresting and samey.
It's alright but I've never been super into the talking heads outside of their hits
50 minutes of wallowing in heartbreak gets old pretty quick.
Interesting sound
Very very good live album
Very good but none of the songs individually stood out much.
It's okay I suppose
Just nothing special
Why did it have to be a triple album? Take 40 minutes of the worst stuff out and it's a 5.
Not as bad as I was expecting after Trafalgar but still not fantastic. Some cool anthems in here though
Not as good as number of the beast but still a good album
I didn't mind it. Shame none of the other songs are as good as rip it up
Pretty good even with none of the hits on it
Fine but falls off
Omw to surround a woman in a bar and not leave until she gives in
This albums fine but I do not understand how it's one of the best selling of all time?
I quite liked it. I'm English at least I didn't listen to the French half
It's alright but I definitely thought songs from a room was better
