White lady tries to do rb/soul/Motown is only successful because it's 64 and she is white as fuck. It's nothing special. She didn't even write much of it. Very short. Unimaginative.

Listened to two songs and gave up, yet another wasted spot on the list

An artist I've never really heard before, apart from the big songs. Not for me really. I found listening to the whole album meant the songs all blended together. Sounded too similar

Okay, so here's an album that combines every song that I hated from the era but had no idea who that was that sang all these songs. Really great that they are all packaged up together on one album so that I'll never step on this musical landmine again.

I listened to this and imagined someone like Amy Winehouse singing it instead. Now that would have been a great album. Too many of these old timers put no emotion into their music, this is flat and sleep inducing.

why in the world are there MULTIPLE Dusty albums on this list? the most remarkable thing about this album is how mediocre it is. it's relatively rare that a song cover is interesting enough to be worth releasing, and that is definitely not the case here. nothing I would ever want or need to hear again.

Every boomer is drooling over this one. It's covers from a bygone era with tons of cultural appropriation. The reality of this is that it's a frozen dinner served on a TV tray. And why is every song a fade out? It's so annoying.

She's got a pretty good voice...that's where the compliments for this one end. When you compare her to a lot of contemporaries in the genre she's missing that added dimension of soul. Large parts of this album felt disingenuous- I got the feeling that recording this album was just a 9-5 for her and she was trying to get home on time. I didn't think the backing band was all that creative either. A couple of interesting songs, mostly pretty boring. The back up singers sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks half the time. If hell were the cabaret on a cruise ship, this would surely be the headliner.

#4 Great voice, nice collection of songs. Summer Is Over is the standout but it's a bit of a snooze fest to get that far through the album. 1/5

This was bad. The only thing that I kind of liked were some of the instrumentals in the background, but they were also just on repeat, so even that got boring.

Awful, just terrible, dated, of its time music that I would rather have not had to listen to. I derived zero enjoyment from listening to this rather dull collection of drab songs. I almost had to stop when I endured Dusty wailing away during Mockingbird, an unpleasant experience. I was also disturbed to learn this must have been a double album, as the listening time was too long for a single LP. Truly a test of endurance to make it all the way to the end, like having the worst radio station ever on for an hour.
