Pish
Very samey with the framework being quite dull itself.
Including this album but not Pure Heroine is pure insanity. That album was amazing, and beyond that it was SUPER influential. By comparison, Melodrama is just a generic pop album. It's fine, but not anything noteworthy.
HUH?? maybe something for little girls to listen to
This feels like a record exec justifying an expensive studio. I don’t get the appeal of all high-mid, breathy vocals.
Literally none of the songs of hers that are halfway decent. If I was a preteen girl I would love this album. Smack dab in the middle between T Swift and Billie Eillish.
Dogshit this is a terrible website
Overproduced pop and bad singing
Detta är för mig helt ointressant. Kanske många andra skandinaviska cismän i medelåldern känner så.
That's two break-up albums in a row from the generator. This one is some generic pop. I paid nothing to hear this album, but still I feel I got ripped off for my time.
Hard NO!
Couldn't bring myself to enjoy even a single song on this album
I am Lorde, ya ya ya.... I don't hate it..... But it's not for me, wouldn't choose to listen to it. Probably not bad as far as pop albums go
meeeh
I don’t think I noticed the change from one song to another. Actually I didn’t notice when the album ended and another started playing.
This was very, very bland for me, and I didn’t take to what she was trying to do with her voice. There was one song that made me think she was trying to be the granddaughter of Tori Amos. Disappointing, really.
boring
Huh, well, alright then. Maybe I should listen to her first album and reserve my full judgement until then. Boring instrumentals and a good voice. 1.5/5
Recency bias.
One big fat cliche, not even very well done or orginal.
Derivative nonsense.
Idk why i listened it. Wanted to rate 0.
I have enjoyed Lorde songs in the past (Royals) so was expecting more from this. It sounds like generic modern electronic pop with a slightly quirky voice. Bland, shiny production and lyrics that really don't speak to me. The sound is monotonous in both the backing and Lorde's voice - there's some variation in mood and tone in Hard Feelings, but the voice doesn't really change. Not sure I am the target audience for this album, to be fair.
Cool album cover, fits her sexy voice. I love her raspy voice. Almost like a young Amy Winehouse. But like her later stuff more. But gotta start somewhere and she did a lot of growing till current hits
Not for me.
1.5 is all this is worth at best
There are 1001 4 and 5 star albums in the history of recorded music. The tendency for this list to have albums as unimportant and average as this suggests that there is no real system for determining the albums on this list.
Had to turn it off after a few songs. Did not like the voice, and found the music boring if not irritating. Not for me.
I found the vocals extremely annoying and lyrics read like they’re written by a 12yo filling in her diary. This is not a classic album in any sense of the standard prerequisites. 1 Star!
