No no no no
Prog rock is anything but prog
Bang head till it bleads
2112 is simply not for me. Clocking in at over 20 minutes, the titular track is an epic journey that ultimately feels bloated and self-indulgent. The overuse of repetitive riffs and meandering instrumental sections makes it a chore to listen to. The rest of the album doesn't fare much better, with forgettable tracks that lack the energy and creativity that I had expected from Rush. NUMBER OF BANGERS - 0 STAND OUT TRACK - None
Otros discos de 1976, desde luego infinitamente mejores que este: Songs in the key of life, Hotel California, Love to love you baby, Desire, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, el directo de Peter Frampton, Jailbreak, Station to station, Arrival, Black and blue, Fly like an eagle, The year of the cat, los debuts de Boston, Modern lovers, Ramones y Tom Petty...
Rush generally sounds like they're screaming. And I can't understand the lyrics.
just 1
The first song is a 20+ minute sci-fi story about a guy finding a guitar in a cave based on a story by Ayn Rand. So, yeah, I'm out. If you removed the vocal from this album it might be a 3.
Don't have the patience for that first track. Not particularly in the mood for such a slow build up. Got to the vocals and threw the record out.
Utter utter utter utter shite
I am not a Rush fan to begin with. The opening 16 minute song was a bit much.
Not for me
No.

Annoying
This really was not for me. I can appreciate the ambition behind 2112. The musicianship is clearly impressive and the concept is bold. But as a listening experience it just does not land for me at all. The long, sprawling title track feels overblown rather than epic, and the theatrical vocals make it hard for me to connect with the story. There is no doubt Rush are talented, but the combination of progressive rock excess and sci fi concept leaves me cold. It feels more technical than emotional, and I struggle to find anything that draws me in. Favourite track: None that truly grabbed me Least favourite: The extended title suite is particularly hard work Album artwork: Striking and instantly recognisable, even if the music does not match it for me

No, no, no
Grandiose lyrics, lacking depth, voice is grating
I do not like rush
WACK
Not that interesting to me
Ayn Rand? Really?
Known before: Standouts: Rating: 1.5
No. No. No. Stop it.
Langweiliger progressive Rock
Nerd! The singing is utterly awful. The music is 70s prog rock, which mean it sounds like everyone else except without constraint to societal norms like key signature or musical expecations.
I’m not progressive enough for this but my friend Mark is.
Can’t do Rush
I don't like the whole rush experience. I recognize they are good at playing their instruments, but on the whole it is so not for me. Like, I think they're awful but I can't articulate why. This has been the worst album I've listened to in this 1001 album thing by far.
Meh. Not my jam.
Randian trash.
omg while i was listening to this album the ghosts of geddy lee and ayn rand gave me sexual pleasure while whispering in my ear that i'm so much smarter than everyone around me (adding: jesus christ, they remastered this record during THIS century and they still didn't get rid of that racist-ass riff on "A Passage To Bangkok?" it was gonna be 2 stars until that shit, fellas. go fuck yourselves with that White Foolishness.)
Can’t stand Rush.
fuck you!!!!
Bag o' poo
Nao gostei de nada
omg i just realised the whole point of this is its the 1812 overture but its rush hahaha omg that sucks yeah quite lame
-Had to listen to this on apple music because spotify only had the 40th anny edition full of BS live tracks etc. -The absolute sheer audactity of opening an album with a 16 min song that begins with a solid 6 minute instrumental lol - Rush has their own genre: operatic-sea shanty- canadiana prog rock -Im not on enough drugs for this. -Second track is kinda racist, I was offended. - I like Rush, but their sound wears on me after a while. Kind of like Oatmeal. Pretty good every once in a while but gets boring fast.
Not for me. Prog rock. A bit jarring. Do not like Geddy Lee’s voice at all. 1.
A real pile of shit start to finish. All the bad bits of prog represented, nonsense lyrics and wanky music
Gah!
Didn’t love this one only because I didn’t feel myself connecting with it lyrically or instrumentally.
I really don't care much for this album. I love "Permanent Waves" and "Moving Pictures" but only came across them via a recommendation about 20 years ago from another like minded musical friend... those albums have a bit of 'rock' about them and aren't as 'twiddly' or 'hysterical' as this is.
Really poor
nah
Not my cup of tea…
Helaas gaat me dit album snel irriteren.
Hate rush
1/5 not really my style of music, alot of guitar so if that's your thing I would recommend this album but It just wasn't for me :)
Not my thing
I didn't like Rush beforehand, and this album hasn't changed my opinion.
Rush is the worst
Almost unlistenable. Terrible.
Rimelig hård rock, 20 min intro, (måske) forud for sin tid
pretty nice
I love my 5.1 recording of this. Had it on vinyl as a little kid. 5/5
