One of the BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME BY ANY ONE OR GROUP OF ARTISTS
Grateful to this album for how much good progressive rock it inspired
One of the greatest albums ever, but not the Beatles best.
I’ve always written the beetles off because I just couldn’t get into the sound. I think their songs are incredible but (super hot take), I just prefer the covers I hear. Throwing this up on the stereo, this is a masterpiece. Truly think this is one of the best albums ever made.
Its a full story, its rock, its art. I knew the Beatles was GOATed but I didn't realize they were this good. Favourite Song: Good Morning Good Morning Honourable Mention: When I'm Sixty-Four, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Look, this is a great album, there’s no denying that. I know all the songs by heart. But every time I listen to it, I don’t feel the need to play it again. I don’t think there are any truly killer tracks on this album, except for one of my absolute favorite Beatles songs, “A Day in the Life.” The rest are fine, even good. I enjoy the whimsical “When I’m Sixty-Four” and “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!” I think my main gripe is that this album is often hailed as one of the greatest of all time, yet I don’t believe it’s the Beatles’ best work. To me, it’s slightly overrated. It’s an iconic album, one where a 4 feels too harsh but a 5 implies I believe it’s the greatest album ever. I guess it’s still a 5-star but a weak one.
mustve been inspired by panic at the discos second album
All time classic, lives up to it's reputation
I love it. I want more of it. How many bands can do whatever the hell they want and it all sounds amazing and groundbreaking? Not many.
Classic
Asides from some lyrics that have not aged well in places, no notes. A truly classic album and one where you can tangibly feel it was a major culture shift.
The Beatles needs no introduction when it comes to their influence on the industry, but Sgt Pepper is one of their magnum opuses to the world. Challenged and inspired by the psychedelic sound of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, this album takes the tight rhythm and lyricism that Rubber Soul and Revolver had and cranks it up to overdrive. Variety is the name of the game here, and it’s what makes this album so relistenable. It’s like the musical manifestation of the feeling you get traveling around the world, in the sense that there’s always something new to hear. Whether it be from the truly psychedelic nature of songs like Within You Without You and Lucy in the Sky, the tender warmth the strings in She’s Leaving Home has, or the live feeling that sets the whole thing up, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the album sets itself as a melting pot of ideas that each song flawlessly executes. There’s really no song that treads the same ground whatsoever (Besides Sgt Pepper Reprise), and there’s always something new and groundbreaking that hooks you in. When it comes to pacing, there’s practically no album that’s as tightly packed as this one. It’s only a 40 minute listen, but it really feels like it’s longer because of how well it makes the most out of its run time. Each song has more than enough room to breathe, doesn’t overstay its welcome, and more importantly, tells the story it wants to tell. For me personally, it’s my 2nd favorite studio Beatles Album, and the album everyone thinks about when you even mention the Beatles. There’s no better sampler platter of what makes these guys special, and deserves all the praise it gets.
I think it would be hard to dispute this albums greatness. Time may have worn people out on this album but it was and still is, a masterpiece. The production. The writing. The vocals. The music. It was so far ahead of its time I am not sure we have actual gotten “ it” yet.
No words needed …
VERY GOOD. I fucking love The Beatles (vinyl)
I remember my music teacher at primary school teaching us Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds … at the time I had no idea it was a Beatles song but I’ve loved it ever since (she also taught us when I’m sixty-four which I loved not so much 😁)
5/5 I love this album, but I'm biased and I've heard it a million times. They are by far my favourite band of all time. Won't elaborate more.
If there was any album that I wished I could have made, it's Sgt. Pepper.
It’s not even in my top 5 Beatles albums but it’s great. When I’m Sixty-Four, A Day in the Life, Fixing A hole are all kick ass songs, and none of those probably are considered a “hit” from this album. It’s hard not to grade on a curve for the Beatles, but the 5 years from 1965-1969 are the most fertile period anyone has ever had in pop music, and so even though this album exists next to Revolver and Rubber Soul and Help and Abbey Road and the White Album and Magical Mystery Tour, it’s still great.
While it’s not my favorite Beatles album, it’s still a 5 for me because of how it showcases the band’s many creative directions at this point. The duality of Paul and John in Day In the Life is a perfect example of this.
Certainly one of the most important albums in the history of rock, but still not the best Beatles album
Incredible stuff all around. Legendary.
The ultimate masterpiece. This album was, and is still, an unprecedented game changer in the history of music.
Classic that inspired the posthumous release of Mac Millers Ballonerism. I’ve done quite the deep dive on both albums and would recommend comparing the parallels of each. Both leaning into the more experimental side of their music portfolio.
A classic. Remind me to self to listen to all their albums consecutively and try to guess how many drugs they were on for each one.
Top 100 and a fave since I was 15 or something.
Classic
Masterpiece
love it
First Beatles album i've ever listened to. What strikes me right off the bat is that it's a bit more rock and roll than I expected. Honestly my only other experience with the Beatles is slow songs like Yesterday and Hey Jude, which although are classics in their own right, i'm sick of hearing. So something with a bit more tempo is appreciated. This album is basically the result of The Beatles getting sick of everything and everyone, including they're psychotic fans, going out to "find themselves" and evolving....with the help of drugs. I love that they started trolling their fans with this and there's almost a mocking tone of "This is how we are now, deal with it." that really pushed peoples perception of The Beatles and pop music in general. I can see how it connected with the youth. This is definitely the catalyst to the free spirit "Peace and love" era of the 70's. Completely revolutionary, and LSD experimentation seems obvious in the tracks. From the India influences that show up in Getting Better and Within You Without You; and the weird little twangy alien voices they use in Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds. This album probably hits different while on acid. There's a couple songs that stand out in Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite with it's carnival sound, and When I'm Sixty Four with it's weird old school Mickey Mouse up and down plodding around sound. Within You and Without You as well, just incredibly unique due to it's Indian sound since one of the members went to India to study the Sitar during their sabbatical. Within You Without You is transcendental in meaning and sound with it's Indian mantras. Just really cool hearing a band push the boundaries of peoples expectations and then see how it really impacted people with the 70's hippy movement. Lyrically, there's nothing super revolutionary as they seemed to get inspiration for songs from just random stuff anywhere from a parking meter attendant to stories they saw in the tabloids. The musical choices made to accompany these humdrum lyrics is what's really interesting.......which I guess still rings true today. Doesn't really matter what you sing about as long as the music works. Within You Without You and A Day In The Life have the most powerful overall message. A Day In the Life gave me goosebumps.
It's Sgt peopers
Trop bien Manque peut-être d'harmonie générale mais je reecouterai
There is nothing really new I can say about this iconic album but here is my summary and personal opinion: It's obviously one of the greatest albums ever made, and the most well known Beatles album along with Abbey Road among the general public. The idea of creating an alterego band whose songs are played by The Beatles was a brilliant idea. This is one of the first concept albums ever and I've always found amazing how the songs flow into each other despite of the variety of sounds (psychedelic rock, baroque pop, classical Indian music etc.) the album has a very compact sound. It's a real album's album. The sound engineering is absolutely pioneering in rock music. With this album the band has completely changed the view about how an album means in rock music, they raised the bar incredibly high with this one. And last, there are many great closing on albums but A Day in the Life is no doubt the most iconic album closing songs ever. On a more personal level, I loved this album from age 10 when I found this on an old vinyl at home in the mid 90s. I didn't understand any English but liked the variety of the sounds of the album and the colourful album cover. My focus has shifted on other Beatles albums more later (White Album, Revolver, Abbey Road etc.) and many fans think Sgt. Pepper's is not even in the Top 3 greatest Beatles albums, let alone their best, but whenever I listen to this album it makes me remember how brilliant it is and how much I love it.
5/5 no notes
Mengawang awang, warna psikedelik paling awal yang pernah saya dengar.
One of the best ever
4.9
Probably the greatest album ever, this created the concept of an album as a piece of art rather than a few singles and then some filler tracks. As immense as it is, the project is even more impressive when accounting for the fact that Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane were a product of these recording sessions, even though neither track was included on the album
One of my favorite albums of all time, unique change of pace for one of the most popular grpups in history.
pretty freaking good
A work of art, timeless, brought immense joy and energy to my Monday morning
absolute donger of an album
This is what the cosmos are made of
Masterpiece. And I pity the fools who disagree.
This album always felt disjointed and less thought out than the other Beatles albums, and definitely shows a transition point from mid-period Beatles (Rubber Soul and Revolver) and later-period (The Beatles, Abbey Road, Let It Be). Because of this, it has always been a little less compelling to me than the other albums. Still, it's the Beatles, so it is better than almost anything else out there.
🎩
Phenomenal classic
Why are The Beatles timeless? This is a real question? They are. There is no doubt about it. But how? Why them? How was this early rock-n-roll band to become what they did? Why them (again)? I don't know. Maybe I don't care even, because ... damn! What a band they were. I, for one, am super glad they do exist and that we can still marvel at their work today. I think my youtube algorithm might have made a mix instead of the actual album, but it is the same songs in different orders at any rate... and it really doesn't matter anyhow because The Beatles are simply one of the best bands that ever existed and anything they did was worthy.
No comments necessary
I am not a Beatles Boy but I recognize that A Day in The Life might be the greatest song ever written. This is a perfect album and it’s a shame that we have ever other Beatles album on this list instead of just having one to truly appreciate.
I think what Sgt. Pepper's does best is show The Beatles ability to create a concept album that spans across 4 or 5 different genres, some of them bordering on satire and the whole thing comes of without an ounce of irony. I'm not sure any other band could do this. It's not good because it's bordering on absurd, or good despite being absurd it's somehow both at the same time and still managed to have almost universal appeal and appraise. I think the song A Day in the Life almost feels like an inside joke at the end of the album. The previous track Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band book ends the opening track with the same name and controls the absurdity and diversity all the songs between then after it wraps up you get perhaps one of the greatest songs ever written (IMHO) almost as an afterthought. It gives the song space and room to breathe at the end of the album to stand out and underline just how amazing it is. I can only imagine the first time hearing this on vinyl and thinking "what just happened? Start it again."
Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of those albums that is so widely praised that it just has to be overrated, right? Honestly, no, I don't think so. It's a genre defining psychedelic rock album that is solid front-to-back and ends on one of the best songs ever recorded. Honestly, I don't really have anything else to say about it.
Ja mei, des is halt Sgt Pepper, ne.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die: 15/1001 While I've heard the Beatles before (how could you not know With A Little Help From My Friends), I've never intentionally listened to one of their full albums. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band seems to have very favorable ratings, but isn't necessarily viewed by the masses as pinnacle Beatles. That stuns me because if this isn't the best they have to offer, I am absolutely thrilled to listen to more. It's undeniable how they changed music, I can say today they changed music for me. An early concept album, the opening track sets the stage for this ulterior band of which the original I already lack a level of familiarity with. The setting has the immediate feel of an orchestra warming up before a show as they then dive into a traditional rock sound that put a grin on my face. The crowd noise followed by the horns, *chefs kiss.* The seamless transition into With A Little Help From My Friends is so seamless and instantly captivating. If the first track wasn't a bit jarring to me in how different The Beatles would be comparated to what I expected, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds solidified the unique, experimental sound I didn't know to expect... And I loved it! The album continues between these various pivots, with songs to come working in the context of the album. Each offers unique flair and sound, even if not mind blowing singles I'd play otherwise. This point is proven with She's Leaving Home which is an orchestral ballad with beautiful instrumentation. It's this song that sets the tone for the middle of the album and solidifies the genre bending nature that only makes the album more intriguing overall. It's not connected to the thematic outline introduced at the beginning of the album even if When I'm Sixty Four has some of those undertones the other songs almost intentionally defy. Though it all flows with recognizable patterns and melodically interesting music that, while not all interwoven, bring about a flow that makes the album engaging. The middle of the album feels more like a day in the life of, a journey undertaken by individuals that's brought to life through the instrumentation and the lyrics. Good Morning Good Morning perfectly encapsulating this idea. Ultimately, it's through these parts that sandwich the album, with the Reprise coming back through, theoretically bringing the show to a close. But it's the seamless transition to A Day in the Life that finally fills this role, bringing the alternate ego and daily monotony all together in one final closure--- well, a couple final closures within a closure. The song feels like two seperate pieces that play on each other embolic of Lennon and McCarthys unparalleled partnership. A masterpiece that ends only to begin again with a final statement only true artists like The Beatles could have made work. Podium (extended): 1. A Day In The Life 2. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 3. With A Little Help From My Friends 4. She's Leaving Home 5. Getting Better 6. When I'm Sixty Four Honorable Mention: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (+Reprise) There are so many genuinely good songs on here. There are songs many tone strucks. There are songs many experimental elements. There's fun. There's culture. There's harmony. There's chaos. There's meaning. There's beauty. Cover to cover, it's creative and artful. It had me smiling throughout the day and was the best full introduction to The Beatles I could've asked for. It's for these reasons I give Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 5/5 stars.
5 stars for the creativity and weirdness. Hell ya Paul
It's "Sgt. Pepper's" so it's not going to be any lower than 5 stars. Though I could never replicate the feeling of my 9 year-old self listening to this over and over, singing along with it, letting it inhabit my subconscious, it is still a wonder. No album opened the possibilities of pop music more than this one. Each song is a finely wrought masterpiece culminating with the most creative, mind-expanding song of all: "A Day in the Life." Yet, the older I get, the more I see how this is far from their best album. It doesn't hold together as a concept album for one thing. There are way too many Paul songs on it for another (and not enough George). But it's still "Sgt Pepper's," for Christ's sake, and it will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Really nothing to say about this that hasn't been said. It is a straight up masterpiece, a perfect album, Ive listened to it countless times from a young age. I imagine listening to this in 1967 was akin to whiplash, ending side 1 with Mr Kite, probably thinking "what the hell was that" and then flipping it over to Within you Without You. Wish that's how I first experienced it. It fires on all cylinders, contains their best creative impulses, and even though the loose chaos collage of the White Album is my favorite, I love the tightly constructed madness of Sgt Pepper, pushing so many boundaries in a clean 45 minutes
Always one of my favorites. Didn't listen to it the day it was generated since I am disappointed that its given me Revolver and this before #50. Listened to it plenty of times over the years and is an easy 5 star album.
Not much to say. Great
I’ve heard bits and pieces of Sgt Peppers over the years; after all, the album is prolific to an obnoxious degree. Having finally sat down with it, none of the noise around this album seemed to matter very much. I clicked with these songs in a way that’s going to take me many more listens to fully understand why. This is the only Beatles album I think I’ll ever need - and as a bonus my first purchase as a result of this list! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A masterpiece. If there’s a track I like least it’s Mr Kite.
Not my favorite or even the best Beatles album. But it’s the Beatles. You can tell acid was an influence here. My favorites on this album are Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Within You Without You, A Day In The Life.
A classic.
Words simply cannot describe how impactful this album is, every track is apart of this baroque and beautiful story driven by the character of Billy Shears(ironically who was accused of replacing McCartney)
This album was released during what truly was the golden era of rock. Between Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and McCartney and Lennon of the Beatles, they were setting new standards for everyone else to follow. Depending on the day of the week, this is no worse than my second favorite Beatles album, with "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" being the other. It was a real pleasure to have this selection roll up today!
Absolute classic
This project will forever be special to me because it inspired the name Lucy for my car <333
this album was my fav to learn about for my Beatles class… playing it all the way through again and listening for all the fun new instruments, cray recording techniques, drugs etc was awesome I heart this album so much
10 stars.
BRABO DEMAIS, 5 ESTRELAS. JA OUVI ESSE ALBUM 3 VEZES E CONTINUA MARAVILHOSO
Loved pulling this album out from my dad's collection when I was a kid. Great cover. I learned to enjoy those songs when I was a tot and the album was 10 yrs old or so. It's murderer's row on popular songs that still get airplay today... start off with the title track (111M listens), "With A Little Help..." (155M), "Lucy In The Sky..." (207M), "When I'm 64" (108M) and " A Day In The Life" (147M). Holy cow! Then you throw in the glue tracks that are hits in their own right with "Getting Better", "Fixing A Hole", "Lovely Rita" There are a few misses (for me at least) with "Mr. Kite", "Within You..." but rarely do even the great bands bat .1000. 4.7 stars.
What can I say about this classic? To me, the genius is in its overarching theme, creating their alter ego Lonely Hearts Club Band and the performance. It's brilliant and works together for me more as a whole conceptual piece--the sum is greater than the individual parts (yet the individual songs are also brilliant). I never tire of listening to this work of art.
Top 3 greatest albums of all time.
The Beatles siempre funciona bien
My mum has the original lp
I think I like almost all Beatles songs.
Pointless to give an opinion on this. Like trying to explain why breathing is cool or sunny days are nice.
Brilliant
I despise it when I hear "oh, the Beatles, they were overrated. This album was from 1967, have a listen you people who use this phrase and give your head a wobble. Massive gear change for music this was, pop music yes, but a mash up of all sorts that you just couldn't put in a specific genre, as a lot of this had never been heard or experienced ever before until 1967. To think Strawberry Fields & Penny Lane didn't even make it on this album! Am I a massive Beatles fan? No, not especially, but I am a massive fan of music and for that I am grateful & thank them. All you "overrated haters" can do one.
Totally marvellous and iconic.
Some great songs and music
Important turning point album for the Beatles. One of my all time favorites.
What can you say about this album that hasn't already been said? It's a true classic: production, songwriting, performance all top tier.
An almost perfect album. Almost. Still an easy 5. Brilliant.
i found an original vinyl from the release year at a small thrift store a few years ago and ofc i got it! such a great and iconic album. she’s leaving home makes me tear up, such a beautiful song. every song on this album is just so good. top tier beatles album for sure. 5+/5
I’m a Beatles fanboy and this is one of their best. When you have three of the best songs of all time on one album then it’s hard for me to not think it’s a masterpiece. 5/5
One of the best albums, of course. It might be the best ever. The final song, A Day In The Life, may also be The Beatles finest song. Listening to it again in 2025, it remains timely, perhaps because it is timeless. The compositions impeccable, including lyrics. The production is a masterclass. The musicians at peak. Even the album art extraordinary. Possibly flawless.
Amazing album

no se puede describir con palabras lo de este disco y esta gente. Es realmente perfecto. No existe obra de mayor impacto. No inventaron todo, agarraron todo lo que había y lo transformaron en el cielo hecho disco.
jajaja
It's Sgt. Pepper. It's very nearly perfect.
Such an interesting album, I love to listen to it. The mix of different sounds , harmonies , well structured lyrics make it such a piece of history for my ears. This enormous band has influence so many others , and definitely this was a breakthrough in their career and in music history.
Тут разве надо что-то писать?
It's the fucking Beatles, what else am I supposed to do
Banger
It's an adorable album that I don't mind hearing from time to time.
What’s there to say that hasn’t already been said
A masterpiece
yep it's still pretty good
Fun listen
Not sure it's because of the overall quality of the songs or the familiarity but if this can't get a 5 then I'm not sure what can
This still sounds great to me. There may be 1 or 2 Beatles albums I prefer to this, but they were never quite this gear before or after.
Landmark. I’m still trying to learn to play “A day in the life” after weeks of practice, so until I crack that its a full set of stars from me
Well.... it's sgt pepper's
There’s three ways to hear this classic: the original mono (authorized by the band), the original stereo mix (done without the band’s input as mono was still the priority back in 1967), and Giles Martin’s 2017 stereo remix. I highly recommend listening to all three versions.
One of the most wildly entertaining albums ever produced. This is the Beatles at their best: and that's saying quite a lot, of course! There's nothing I could say here that would add to the voluminous commentary already written about this record, so I'll just note how much FUN they all seem to be having here.
Outstanding work from a band at or close to their creative best.
The Beatles continue to push the boundaries of popular music with their elaborate psychedelic-infused pop & rock. This album will swoop you up and pull you away if you let it. There’s lusciousness and depth in the music, arrangements, harmonies - there’s memorable melodies vocally and musically. It’s very rich on all fronts. Plus it covers a wide ground of contradictions - it’s light and heavy, it’s poppy and experimental, it’s familiar and bizarre. It pushed music forward and it’s fun as hell to listen to.
One of the best albums ever!!
Superb!
Every note is burned into my brain.
There’s nothing about this album that can be said that hasn’t been said before. It’s a masterpiece of sixties pop and well worth your time. Every time another McCartney song has you wondering if the whole record is going to be this twee Lennon arrives with something perfect
One of the greatest (unhinged) albums ever released.
What a triumph. One of the first concept albums, and a damn fine one to start the format off with. Delightful psychedelic sounds all throughout, culminating in one of the best songs of the 60s (and indeed of any decade).
This album, in a vacuum, is a 4 for me. However, it is not in a vacuum - if I hadn't picked up this album when I was 11, I wouldnt have been able to enjoy Pink Floyd, or King Crimson, or a bunch of other bands, and I think that's true for many people. Each song is like an entirely new idea, with a new recording technique being explored. Still fresh after all this time and I should appreciate it more.
Probably only my 5th favorite Beatles album and still maybe a top 30 all-time album. Better than practically every album it inspired. 5/5
Needs no introduction, an absolute classic!
Very few albums have the prestige of being as critically acclaimed and influential as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - and a considerable amount of them are from this modest 1960's Liverpool band you and I know very well. What appears to be and odd and edgy attempt by The Beatles reveals itself as a genius creation with iconic tracks such as With a Little Help from My Friends and, of course, A Day in the Life. All of that while still being capable of keeping a certain coherence, especially in an album with a very specific premise like this one. Being done with the exaltation, I don't think this is a perfect album - nor the best Beatles album, a place I strongly keep for Abbey Road. Some tracks are forgetable and not only don't add anything to the album, but also downgrade it for me (I'm looking at you, With or Without You), so if these songs weren't here, maybe it'd be closer to perfection. Finally, mixed with all the remnants of the transcendental views of George Harrison and some existential tones, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band lacks a good worldview, but it's completely authentical and genius in its presentation. A solid Beatles album - but not their peak, fortunately. O que parece ser uma tentativa meio esquisita e ousada dos Beatles acaba revelando uma criação genial, com faixas icônicas como With a Little Help from My Friends e, claro, A Day in the Life. 8/10
I suppose that in general any album I own (such as this one) automatically gets a five-star rating. There may be some exceptions, but after listening to this record, the policy applies. Lots of familiar tunes.
5 stars- classic
One of those obvious perfect albums that changed music forever and everyone knows it. Then "A Day In The Life" comes on and it exceeds even those expectations
There really is not a bad song on this album. I feel this is when the Beatles began to be at their best, they stopped touring and just made memorable melodies and experimental music.
A Day in the Life is a hell of a way to close an album
Bought my first copy at Tower records in London.
From #29, Abbey Road: "[...] there's a photograph of me, 11, in front of the red wrought iron gate to Strawberry Fields, with my little yellow Beatles pin buttons on the jacket. On the way back from a Bed & Breakfast road trip [...]" ... when I only owned one of their proper albums, besides the Red & Blue compilations. This one. 5 stars, duh.
fuck yeah
Not listened to it today as prescribed - but need I?
Bit overrated but overall still great and highly influential
Oh, come on. Really? I own this one on vinyl, CD, Blu-ray, dubbed it on cassette. The Beatles at one of the heights of their powers.
A lot of albums have naysayers but I never understood how you could be critical of this or the very least not understand the appeal 5*
Five Stars... Side one would get 10 stars... side two... well... it gets saved by "A Day in The Life"... a lot of people consider this to be the Beatles best album... i don't... but it's great regardless... special shout out to George Martin.... one of the greatest albums ever, even with a few duds on side two...
The Beatles response to Pet Sounds and it's almost as good! Sometimes the tone shift was a bit jarring but I liked the music so much I can look past it. Favourite: She's Leaving Home (or When I'm Sixty Four) Least: Within You Without You
A classic! Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A classic, heard it a thousand times before
Ah, another classic 60s album. Sgt. Peppers is the first Beatles record I listened to from start to finish, and it's a beautiful record of some of their best work. From the opening tracks with the well-played "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" to the later "When I'm 64" and the thoughtful ending track "Day in the Life". It's great from start to finish.
Zapomniałem że to jest świetne
Very fun and perfect album 👌
4.5; I docked a half a point because I have always found some of the lyrics to be drug induced random ridiculousness on a lot of the tracks, but everything else is for the most part deserving of the praise, impact, and acclaim this album had. An important classic that helped revolutionize and break the conventions of the time. Joe Cocker has the better With a Little Help From My Friends" though! Just had to throw that in there lol
Look another clue that Paul’s dead, he’s holding a clarinet.
Probably my favourite album from the Beatles, it has a great sense of fun about it and some excellent songs
Still don't think it's the best album of all time (Rolling Stone), but it is pretty great.
It suffers from overexposure but no matter how you cut it, this is a brilliant album, ahead of its time and yet timeless.
There probably isn't anything I can say about Sgt Pepper which hasn't already been written but there are so many reasons it's regarded as a masterpiece. The iconic cover, concept and outfits pushed the boundaries of what a rock album can be, into a new holistic type of artistic statement. The music combines rock with psychadelica and baroque pop, and some of these tracks such as Mr Kite still sound so fresh and original even now. A Day In the Life is also a masterpiece, arguably their greatest song (if that's even possible to choose) It's not my favourite Beatles LP because When I'm 64 is a bit "granny music", and Harrison's contribution Within You Without You isn't quite his best. But it's still an easy 5*
My favorite Beatles album. ‘Nuff said.
Have already listened to every beatles album, and this one probably ranks second behind rubber soul. Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I didn't grow up listening to the beatles, they feel like a fundamental part of my childhood, thanks to my Granda being an og fan.
Classic Album first full album I heard of the Beatles and was hooked it flows very well and the songs are timeless.
I mean...
Seeing as my kaleidoscope eyes and I were born the year after this came out, I’d better give this a 5 🤩
Actually pretty good sans ring
I own a mono copy of this on vinyl and it's an album that never gets old. Perfect front to back and an inspiration to so many bands. When you talk about creating a great album everyone places this on their list of albums to beat and no one has, Start to finish Sgt. Peppers is sheer perfection. Not just the production but the song writing is amazing. It's an inluential pschedelic album that ushered in a time when bands were experimenting with different sounds and even ideas. This simply gets better everytime I hear it.
Favorite Track: With A Little Help From My Friends
The song was very good I liked the lyrics the video.
All time classic
Paul McCartney please call me we have urgent matters to discuss. Ringo please stop leaving messages on my machine peace and love. Fav Track: Getting Better
Classic pop punk that holds up. Saw them perform it in full just last year and it was so much fun!
5/5 I could just leave it there, tbh, because Sgt. Pepper's is legendary but I'm going to expand. This album has been one of my top 5 favorite albums ever since the first time that I head it nearly 20 years ago. I can't explain how important the album has been to me and my musical journey and ratings can't fully illustrate how meaningful it is to me. Easily going to be one of the best albums on this list, in my opinion.
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 4.4 With a Little Help from My Friends 4.8 Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds 4.6 Getting Better 4.7 Fixing a Hole 4.5 She's Leaving Home 4.5 Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! 4.4 Within You Without You 4 When I'm Sixty-Four 4.3 Lovely Rita 4.6 Good Morning Good Morning 4.5 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) 4.5 A Day in the Life 5 Score: 4.523076923
Oh wow :) Into very familiar territory here. I probably heard 3 or 4 of the best known and most radio friendly songs before I was 5 years old. Then in '88 to celebrate its 21st birthday the NME organised a charity version of the album with cover versions, but I bought the original on CD. What can I say about one of the most discussed albums of all time? From the moment 'Sgt Pepper' segues into 'With A Little Help from My Friends' the magic begins. A magical tour of songs and sound, imagery and effects. It's so rich, so musical (I realise how daft that sounds), so engaging, and at times so touching (She's Leaving Home). It's pointless breaking down the songs, I've seen several documentaries that do that, there are probably books that do the same. Paul may dominate but they all play their part, including of course, George Martin. As an album, a 40 minute collection of songs flowing from one to the next, this is (for me at least) unsurpassed. Wonderful to play it again, as it always will be. P.S. I'm happy to say, without reservation, that I even love 'When I'm Sixty Four' :)
One of those albums that I find impossible to do justice in a written review. One of the best albums of all time by the greatest band of all time, but everyone knows that. So instead I’ll focus on what this album means to me. Despite being born in 1999, I grew up with The Beatles. They were always played around the house from as early as I remember, and I’ve continued to listen to them for 26 years - now more than ever. This culminated in watching Paul McCartney perform with Ringo Starr at the O2 last year with my brother - probably the greatest experience of my life. The Beatles’ music to me is emotional, awe-inspiring, beautiful, comforting, nostalgic, funny, catchy, timeless, perfect. It’s nice to know that in my life (wahey), no matter what age I am (even when I’m sixty four), through good times and bad, I’ll always have The Beatles. I could continue pouring my heart into this review but it would go on forever. This album is everything to me. I’ll end with the difficult task of ranking it besides the other Beatles albums. I can’t separate Sgt Pepper’s, Abbey Road and Rubber Soul, but my favourite is always Revolver.
One of my all time favourites. The way each track blends into one big "Show" Special mentioned to the secret track on the Vinyl
Great album overall, but I think this is the first time I've listened to it and noticed how out of place some songs are considering the album concept
I almost tried to pull a real music critic move and not give this an automatic 5 stars. Then I had my headphones in, walking down the street, turned up the volume and when the chorus hit in “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” I literally got chills and couldn’t help but sing out loud. If a song and album can still do that to me, after hundreds of listens, then it’s worth all the stars.
I have nothing to add that hasn't been said.
Classic.
Great album. Most songs are ones to listen to on their own but I'm also so used to them as an album.
Well known and well loved. Made me smile.
It honestly nit the best beatles album but it's a timeless classic and there's not a bad track on it.
Einer meiner All-Time Favoriten!
Genius I love this album so much
I mean what is there to give this other than 5 stars. Not my favourite Beatles album but obviously still great all round
Super Dope
Absolute classic. Enough said.
Probably the easiest 5*s I'll ever give.... Well until Revolver comes up
The Big Bang of Albums!

It's pretty good but it's no Oasis.
Yeah, the Beatles are great.
It's hard to write just how great they were. And this is one of their best.
Painted the room in a colorful way
Listened to this so much as a kid
Singular album, seminal work of art. So ambitious and challenging, yet consumable. It pushes in all the right ways and almost dares you to suggest it doesn't pull it off. You can't.
This is not their best album, contrary to popular belief at the time, but it's still pretty good. Was definitely instrumental in the rise of the concept album so gets props for that. I like what another reviewer said, which is that there really is not a fresh take on this album since it has been discussed to death, so I'll leave it at that. 8.5/10 Fav tracks: Getting Better, Within/Without You, A Day in the life
Amazingly tasty
I've never listened to any album by the Beatles, so why not start here. I knew it was off to a good start when I sang along to the opening three tracks despite never having heard the album before, such is it's absorption into popular culture. The whole album went by in a flash and it so inventive. Even a song we used to sing in music lessons at school (When I'm Sixty Four) and of course A Day In The Life which tbh I thought was a John Lennon track but is also ingrained im my mind. I can't think of any other albums where you already know half the songs back to front before you even play it. An easy five stars.
I mean, *duh*! You've got Paul's granny music at its absolute peak, you've got John doing freaky circus music, you've got Ringo being his endearing self, and George is there too (sorry George, your album was Revolver!) What else could you possibly want?
One of the best ever.
I have listened to these songs countless times, but not really the full album. Its all good. I especially like the melodic bass playing of Paul.
Love everything about this album. Strange to think this was recorded in 66/67, just 3 years after they were a rock and roll covers band.
Changed the world 🌎 ✨️
love it as always
An amazing album that changed music forever. No skips. One of the best albums of all time.
Alright, this one has all the jams - as a whole, really good record. You got me, Beatles! But only for this one!
Top 5 all time.
meta and fun
In 1967, John Lennon was 27 years old, Paul McCartney was 24, George Harrison was 24, and Ringo Starr was 27. These songs are achingly beautiful. It’s funny to me this album has such a seemingly lurid reputation as a revolutionarily psychedelic piece of art. It was at the time! Looking back this album is quaint in its sonic pallet, but it was the first to do it. Pretty rad that Ringo gets to launch the record with a timeless classic in With A Little Help From My Friends. Getting Better is in my Top 10 Beatles songs. She’s Leaving Home always makes me want to cry. Within You Without You still blows my mind, I can’t even imagine what it felt like it to hear it in Liverpool in 1967. Good Morning Good Morning seems like the blueprint for They Might Be Giants’ sound. The Reprise is maybe one of the best songs on the album? The intro to the song goes really hard - proto hard rock/metal? A Day In The Life is one of the greatest songs ever made - it should be blared over global loud speaker systems as the world ends. We would all die with dignity.
Perfection
More eloquent, more musically literate people have written reams about why this is good. Im not here to disagree. A collection of classics
Borderline perfect album. Favourite Songs: YES Least Favourite Songs: NO
Not much you could say about this one that hasn't been said already, but I'll say some of it anyway. This is a beautiful album. The instrumentation, orchestration, and seamless transitions between styles are incredible. Beautiful vocal harmonies from the boys. I love the three track run from "Fixing a hole" to "Being for the benefit of Mr. Kite". We go from a classic rock and roll track to the gentle ballad backed by those strings; then wind up in the fever dream that is Mr. Kite. A day in the life may be the best pop song ever written IMO It's hard to think of another album that incorporates so many diverse influences, instruments, and styles so well.
LEND ME YOUR EARS AND I'LL SING YOU A SONG/AND I'LL TRY NOT TO SING OUT OF KEY
Did you notice the initials of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is LSD? That song is about drugs, dude.
YUESSSSYESZYEZYDZZ
I mean come on, it's Sgt. Pepper's. It took me 492 albums to get a Beatles album that was Rubber Soul or later. High 5.
Not my favorite Beatles album but certainly one of the most influential of all time.
Duh.
10/10 Beatles beste album? Ein hitparade.
i didn’t really like this compared to other beatles albums but this was amazing, a really cool concept album with great tracks and using those alter ego characters really well
obviously its a 5, but I can see why its a bit controversial. It is a really eclectic mix of emerging genres and I never realized just how Paul heavy this album is. Mostly because John's are sonically more diverse, but Paul trudging along picking up the slack with his dumb little pop ditties. It's an interesting album that creates a journey in the best way an album should.

Classic
i am an unabashed beatles lover and i've listened to this album probably a million times over so, yeah. i love it. that being said, there are other albums of theirs that i think are ultimately more influential and more important and other albums that, quite frankly, i enjoy listening to more. that's not to say i don't love this album (i do) but i just don't think it's their best and i don't agree with the common boomer sentiment that this is the greatest album ever. i think a lot of it has to do with the context in which it was released, which very much predates my birth, so unfortunately greatness based on "you had to be there" is going to be infinitely increasingly rare. but all that being said, i do think this album has some great songwriting on here, songs that have held the test of time as "all timers" ('with a little help from my friends,' 'lucy in the sky with diamonds,' 'when i'm sixty four,' and 'a day in the life') and has some really interesting dabbling in sonic textures (i particularly love 'being for the benefit of mr kite' for this, but also the expansion of their classical-influenced side with 'she's leaving home' and george harrison's continued dabbling with indian classical music). ultimately, it's an all timer for a reason, and i do love it a lot.
when i was in middle school i loved my biology teacher to bits and its my platonic attraction to her that make me feel like i might be a lesbian although i am bisexual. One of the reason is that i live in east asia and she is one of the few people around me to have beatles related knowledge that i interacted with during my most intense periods of beatlemania, although its only about lucy in the sky with diamonds and the song's relationship to lucy the hominin skeleton. and this brings us to Sgt.Peppers itself, a forever classic that, according to some critics and edgelords and hipsters, is "so fucking overrated" and has more cultural impact that pure musicality. Personally i don't hate the album, and by saying that i don't hate it, it of course means that i really love it, and it also don't mean that i agree that the hipster's words about how "the music itself is shitty but because they use advanced technology the musicality can be forgiven and this is a big influence over things to come so it should be considered as their best, and that's wrong since we are hipsters and we only like unpopular things, so the music itself is shit so the album is shit" is valid and neutral. cause i actually think these comments as so fucking biased although the real best beatles album for me is, and will always be, the white album. But without a doubt, Sgt. Pepper's is indeed a cultural milestone that intervines with many various things at the time and to come, from the summer of love to how people would consider rock music as high art, to ppl calling ok computer "the sgt.pepper of radiohead", and to my brief fake love affair with my biology teacher due to the naming of the ape skeleton. But actually people saying that the musicality is not expressed on this album unlike revolver is also very weird... George giving the Indian raga realness on Within You Without You, the circus extravaganza of being for the benefit of mr. kite, the harmony and the cheesy and optimistic atmosphere on Getting Better that really makes people feel better, and don't forget the baroque pop perfection tearjerker named "She's Leaving Home", my literally me song every time dad and mom argued with each other. But anyway, A Day In The Life. you may just think about the fact that there just isn't anything that sounds like this before (apart from Strawberry Fields, released as a single and later included in MMT), although many songs to come has surpassed its greatness. and you will know about its greatness. So my final verdict? Due to its actually great songwriting, the clever usage of studio techniques, the strings of hits and the culture landmark status, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will always be a great album, a truth that hits as hard as the final piano chord of A Day In The Life. 5/5
Alongside 'Help!', this is the joint first record I bought using my actual real money, and would hazard to guess that I've listened to this album more than any other. Still, while I like to think I know this record inside-out, there's always something amazing and fresh I find on every listen. The outrageously intricate clarinet on 'When I'm Sixty-Four', weaving effortlessly around McCartney's lyrics, the lush harmonies on 'She's Leaving Home', the hypnotic percussion on 'Within You Without You', the beautifully melodic bass on 'Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite'. And the mammoth-sized cherry on the top of this behemoth cake, the best album closer in the history of music. All of this is wrapped up and packaged in one of the most iconic album covers of all time. The cover prepares you for a sonic experience like no other, and Sgt Pepper's absolutely delivers. Best Tracks: - A Day In The Life - When I'm Sixty-Four - She's Leaving Home - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds Worst Tracks: N/A Rating: 10/10
Some really good songs. Within you without you comes to mind. Some good songs. Title track, say. Altogether, a really enjoyable album. Definitely belongs on this list.
Nostalgic for this one. Saw the movie so many times. Nothing sounds like this album. Good for you Beatles
I feel uncool for thinking this is the best Beatles album
Not much to say…it’s the Beatles
Automatic 5 star for me. Listened to this so many times!
Another album I have memorized. Brilliant. Quirky. Stylistically diverse. One of the most important albums in the history of popular music. Even the silly songs are great. 5 stars.
Great concept, ending with a day in the life has to be an automatic 5 star
This might be the most played album of mine that’s come up on this, although it’s probably been at least 5years since I last played it end to end. So 5 * for nostalgia.
Jeg har som 35 årig, i 2025 lige opdaget Beatles... Jeg forstår godt hvorfor det blev så vild en ting i sin egen tid.
Det første album jeg købte - stadig et af de bedste jeg har.
Yes have heard this, 5 Star.
It’s hard to do a fresh objective listen to this and separate it from the legacy of it. But maybe for that reason along it deserved five stars so that you can listen to it and decide if you think all the hubbub is worth it. It is a remarkable album still and even more amazing considering when it came out and how inventive it was. The songwriting is great but the production is amazing. George Martin is as much of a her in this as any of the Beatles.
Listen to the production. Listen to the bass parts. So much good stuff - in many instances, it formed the vocabulary for pop and rock music. Yes it isn't as good as Revolver - it's still awfully good.
5 stars? No stars? I don't know. Ask me to rate "Dayenu." My parents played this in the living room. My siblings and I listened to it a thousand times before we were teenagers. This has been burned so deeply in my brain that it falls into another category entirely.
Sooo many great songs...and A Day in the Life is my all-time favorite Beatles song.
I really like “within you without you” but the song from another album “tomorrow never knows” is my fave because it’s a bit more heavy. The album is great, it’s a classic, love to listen to it, but I mis the bite from let’s say the White Album. Mr Kite is awesome!!
I always feel like the most impressive aspect of the Beatles is their collaboration. I know they had their own share of drama, but the output just feels like the result of pure exploration and fun. Strange though, when I just skip through the tracks there's not really a HIGH point. Pretty much an all-or-nothing album for me. PS I seriously hate the ending 😂 insufferable
This is not a perfect album, it’s not The Beatles best album, but it is a 5 star album. I try to hold the 5s for perfection, and this album is not perfect (honestly, I don’t think any Beatles album is, but it is in part of their greatness, they’re willing to experiment). But the influence this album has on so much music that came after it for decades to come is probably a top 10 in western music history. If this album came out in 1974 its a 3.5. There are 13 tracks, at least 3 are skips and 2 more are mediocre. But the remaining 8 are so good *chef’s kiss* that if another artist made these tracks over a ten year career, they’d be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Ok, hyperbole aside, SPLHCB is an amazing work of art. Paul’s ability to make a melody that will stick in your head for hours on end without be annoying or campy, even almost 60 years later along with lyrics might not be the most unique or mind bending but have beautiful poetry. John’s ability to paint a picture in such a way that you can smell the flowers. As their egos grew and they wanted to be better than the other, their song writing hit an amazing level. But they still were band mates and would do wherever it took to mage sure the songs were done to their utmost capabilities. 9.4/10⭐️ #26/1001
It's difficult to describe the joy I get listening to the Beatles, so that alone makes it hard to objectively review any of their albums. I grew up listening to these songs and this music is ingrained with my childhood memories. Ringo was an early crush of mine so I have a soft spot for all his songs, including With A Little Help From My Friends. (And my infatuation only grew when I learned we share a birthday. 💕) Some of my other favorites are Fixing A Hole, She's Leaving Home, Lovely Rita and the incredible A Day In The Life.
One of the greatest creations ever…
Like having my wife’s nipples drag across my scrotum - that good.
Another absolute BANGER. This album has left me speechless since my teenage years. Obviously experimenting with marijuana and alcohol would enhance the attachment I have and now while most days i listen to this album sober, I have explored this album to no further extent. By the time Within You and Without You hits I'm already high that the psychedelic anthem is just par for the course. Always been particularly floored by McCartney contributions. Fixing a Hole, When I'm 64, and She's Leaving Home have been iconic pieces of musical literature that always enrich my life's perspective. Even after a decade of study I still find new things about this album during a listen. Even just today, I figured out another instrument I hear in the background of a George Harrison groove. Full 5 stars remains in my Beatles top 3 for life.
One of the best of all time. For sure.
Great
Iconic
You've got to give this groundbreaking album a lot of respect - even if it sounds a bit dated. They were really pushing the envelope on this album and paved the way for a lot of others. Not my favorite Beatles album but it got a lot of spins in my youth...
This was such a delight.
Another one I'm already very familiar with (who isn't??), and understandably is considered an inner circle all time great album. While it's not my favorite Beatles album, its impact on rock music going forward, and the listening experience itself can't be understated. Learning more recently how The Beach Boy's Pet Sounds album greatly influenced this album (and The Beatles Revolver was a significant influence to Pet Sounds) was really cool to read, as I'm now a very big fan of The Beach Boys. The Beatles have always been in my musical DNA thanks to my mother, and they have played a pretty large part in influencing my musical interests and explorations over the years.
There's not much to be said about this album per se, so I'll share a personal anecdote. Early in my childhood, when I was probably five or so, my dad gave me this album. He also gave me Beach Boys "High Water" which was sort of a greatest hits record (two records, one studio, one live), Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" and Rolling Stones "Beggars Banquet" (white RSVP design). I particularly remember loving Mr. Kite. Still a great track. Between the vinyl and setting me up with my own stereo in my room, those were probably the best things my dad ever did for me. RIP I later bought Chuck Berry's greatest hits, and Elton John's greatest hits, and I embarked on a lifetime of love of music. Thanks Dad!
A classic. It's good. Great even. An impactful and impressive album even to this day. Shaping the future of rock and pop music in its own time and a timeless masterpiece in our time, the Beatles never fail to disappoint and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is no exception. "We hope you have enjoyed the show." 5 stars.
All 3 of the most goated Beatles records in the first 100 albums!? This is crazy, now I’m gonna have nothing to look forward to for the next 900 albums. Amazing record though, nothing less than 5 stars. The first three songs are among some of The Beatles greatest and A Day In The Life like holy cow what an ending to an album. Amazing stuff throughout the middle too with the Indian influenced Within You Without You being a special standout. I mean it’s just a timeless classic. I would rank it amongst Beatles records I’ve listened to so far below Abby Road but above Revolver.
Love it
Classic
Every Beatles is 5-stars, and this is no exception. Love the sound!
one of the greatest albums ever and by far the beatles best for me. the intro sets the mood perfectly, the album is full of hits, the immersion on songs like mr kite is unbelievable and a day in the life to end the album is definitely the best beatles song ever and quite possibly the best song ever period. 10/10.
I find this really hard to rate. I'm not the biggest Beatles fan but understand how novel they were (not their earlier work TBH which I find quiet poor) and they are of course hugely influential. For me, this is probably my favourite Beatles album, some great songs, some OK and in true Beatles fashion there has to be a bad song too - this would be "When I'm 64" here but it's still not as bad as some. I like that this is a concept album. I like the creativity and the psychedelic sound. I'd give it a 3 for what this is worth to me (I never feel the urge to play this album) with 1.5 bonus points for novelty and impact. So that rounds to a (low) 5. Of course, this has to be on the list (even if it was a list of 10 or 20 albums I'd say).
Not the first "concept album" ever, but the one that truly changed the way the "album" was perceived as an art form. Needless to say, it is iconic and great beyond words and even if not every song is a masterpiece, the whole thing is more than the sum of its parts, that's what made it the influential juggernaut that it is. I'm very glad The Beatles are, once again, becoming popular with the younger generations. It seemed like, for a while there, a sizeable amout of people from my generation (I'm a millennial) were keen on saying The Beatles were overrated, and (wrongly) dismissing their importance to popular music at large. No need to discuss the album itself any further, though, as there isn't something I could say that hasn't already been said dozens of times before. Key tracks: With a Little Help from My Friends Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds Getting Better She's Leaving Home Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! Within You Without You Good Morning Good Morning A Day in the Life
One of my favourites…
George Martin's masterpiece.
It’s about damn time, this is my personal favourite. The peak of the 60s and counterculture.
I used to listen to this album on CD in my walkman. I don't think there is a weak song on the album. I get by with a little help from my friends pops up in my head all the time. I love the instrumental exploration of the album.
Has lost its luster in best of lists recently and that makes no sense. Perfection
Best album ever. Day in the life is the best song ever.
It's one of my favourites so it's a no brainer. How the songs are so varied yet still feel cohesive is why this album is perfect.
I love this album! Didn't really know some of the songs, but very strong album overall. A Day in the Life is a banger. Sgt. Peppers into With a little help is so good. Also liked the goodbye from the band. 9.3/10
Every song is a legit masterpiece (except George’s).
one of their better albums, I had forgotten that so many good songs are on this one!
Wish someone would do a full cover tribute of this album
To give this anything less than 5 stars is puerile posturing.
Of course Henry the horse dances a waltz.
For good and for bad, it's the first of its kind, and someone had to go there. The Beatles went there, and did so w/ flair, wit, humanity, and McCartney-mastered basslines ('Fixing a Whole,' my god). Chic isn't necessarily pretentious, but it's a far cry from Chuck Berry and Little Richard. So something died w/ this one, tho birthed as well was a willingness to authenticate weirdness w/ a thought-out edge and memorable lyrics like: 'She's leaving home after living alone / For so many years.' An influence that is nearly impossible to calculate, heck, 'Lovely Rita' even portends Lil Wayne's 'Mrs. Officer.'
When the most popular band in the world decides that instead of cashing in on what has already made them popular, they will instead change the history of rock and roll by producing an inventive concept album that includes not only what would become classic radio hits, but also sitar and a some about a 19th-century circus act, you've got to respect that. This may not be the greatest album ever, but it might very well be the most important.
I’ve heard this before but it’s definitely a perfect album
This album will forever make me smile for so many reasons
Wow, I know this album is going to get some mixed reviews. It's funny to me that people still refer to this album when another group makes a groundbreaking one, like OK Computer, or The Wall, Sandinista, or something that is so different than their other work that puts them on a different level. Simply put, I love The Beatles and this album changed who they were completely and changed how traditional pop bands could evolve into something better. Say what you will about The Beatles and their music, but this album infleunced far more than anyone is willing to admit. 5/5
What's left to say?
It only took 3 days for me to pull one of my pre-existing favourite albums! I was a late bloomer with The Beatles, finally getting on board in my early to mid twenties, much to the frustration of close friends who got it from the outset. I remember singing When I’m 64 at school in assembly for Christ’s sake (I went to a CofE primary)! My first experience of love with the band came either through equally holy, or perhaps sinfully depending on your view, means with a very good acid trip. Me and my housemate of the time took the plunge accidentally by watching the Yellow Submarine film on half a tab (he also was yet to be converted to Beatlemania). The film, to us, at that time, was mind blowing, and we followed it up by spinning Sgt. Peppers. The rest is history. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
AAAAAA++++++ Album.
yippee!!! woohoo!!!
happy mclennon Monday to all who celebrate
Duh.
Ég hef alltaf haldið að ég væri meiri Stones en Bítlakarl en eftirnað hafa hlustað á þessa neglu eyddi ég dágóðum tíma í að lofsama og spila fleiri Bítlalög. Frábær plata. 4.5 sem ég toga upp í 5 sem afsökun fyrir fordómana
Fucking finally.
What can I even say about one of the greatest albums of all time? I've heard it probably thousands of times, and it never gets old. Will be relistening for the rest of my life
I loved this album! I always hated the Beatles when I was a kid, but apparently I need to give them a second chance.
No notes
Buncha weirdos in the 60s find about drugs… what do you expect? They dress up like flowers and make brilliant music of course. Top 3 fixing a hole, Mr Kite, day in the life
It's not even a top-five Beatles album. (He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles!) But how could I put this at anything other than a five? It's completely paradigm shifting for pop music, overflowing with creativity and tenacity and beauty. It is very easy to see how this made Brian Wilson go insane, like Salieri obsessing over Mozart. Lennon and McCartney were 26 and 24 when recording this, respectively. It doesn't even begin to make sense. 1. A Day In The Life 2. Good Morning Good Morning 3. Getting Better 4. Lovely Rita 5. She's Leaving Home 6. With A Little Help From My Friends 7. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 8. Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite 9. Fixing A Hole 10. When I'm 64 11. Within You Without You 12. Sgt. Pepper's/Reprise
Iconic album cover. It seems odd to me how many title tracks lead off albums but maybe that's the norm. I always liked With a Little Help from My Friends, Ringo never got enough credit. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is the most listened to track off this album which seems crazy to me, definitely not the best song. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, With a Little Help from My Friends, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Getting Better is an amazing start to an album, insane run. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! however is not. The carnival theme isn't doing it for me. I get it, you went to India. When I'm Sixty Four has that daily story songwriting like in Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, they have a number of songs like that including She's Leaving Home on this album. A Day in the Life is the big finale. It's the best song on the album. End of album shenanigans? Come on Beatles, you're better than this gimmicky crap. I'm sure every band that does this now looks to this album for inspiration. The problem is that they are not the BEatles and haven't earned it.
Such a fun and creative experience. Every song is entertaining, fresh, whimsical, and engaging. Some of my personal all-time favorite Beatles tracks, and plenty of hidden gems. I don't think there's a single boring or skippable track on this album. One of their best overall albums.
Best Beatles album
An all timer. Even their goofier songs are still fun to listen to. Within You Without You is further proof that George is the best one.
It's goddamn Sgt. Peppers.
This is probably my favorite Beatles album because it has so many absolutely iconic and wonderfully fun songs.
9/10 As good if not better than the white album, only slightly worse then let it be and abbey road. 3-07-2025
305/1001 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Nothing can be said that hasn't already been said. It's the Beatles. They invented the modern framework everyone else exists in. And I love it. I do prefer Abby road and especially the white album but this is still nothing but all time classics
Fucking 11/10!!!
Not every song on here is a 5 but I can't think of a time when the album as a whole wasn't a 5 for me. Very few people mention Harrison's "Within You Without You" when talking about this album but it's one of my favorites. "A Day In The Life" is a masterpiece!
This is a legit incredible album. If you told me that this album was the inspiration for this entire project, I wouldnt doubt it. Anyway, this album is absolutely fantastic and holds up after all the plays. 5/5
i like to pretend i hate the beatles even though i've been listening since i was 8 with all their music on my ipod when im sixty four is a big banger a day in the life is for when your dog dies right before you and your fam take a road trip to SF and you stare out the window looking at the gloomy bay
