Gutes Album. Klassiker. Vietnam calling.
thought i couldn't get into soul because I never really listened to it but I really enjoyed this album! It's honestly something I would love to listen to more often.
mega geil. hallo? dachte ich mag das nicht hab erstmal genervt aufgestöhnt aber hey....der spaß ist scheiße geil. würde ich noch öfter hören honestly.
good story but a bit boring
ganz ok honestly nix besonderes i guess
beautiful. 10/10 mystisch, feenhaft, gibt ein feeling für den kommenden sommer. hat mich sehr bewegt.
allright. some good tracks.
good music but not my thing
good jazz. coltrane could be someone I'd listen to more.
actually quite good the snoring bothered me
perfect what else should I say? Perfectly captures 00s nostalgia and the accents are just superb. Always worth a listen.
Only knew Stevie Wonder for being blind. Who would've thought his music is actually good?
yeah good music but didnt really catch my attention
Interesting music. Actually love the sound of it.
Interesting music. Scratches an itch in my brain.
the songs really got me. they are all really catchy and artistically pleasing.
I can appreaciate good music, but this kinda stuff just isnt really the thing for me. good tho
Some songs are boring or not really that interesting but most of them have a really catchy tune. Love it. Def will listen to them more. Love Sex! Really funny and real song.
not really my cup of tea, and not really interesting for me. i've heard better albums in that genre.
yk i like radiohead, but this album just wasnt my cup of tea. a bit tedious.
loved it. good singer, good music, good lyrics. def enjoy this kinda stuff.
I like this music but other than background music this one didn't catch me all that much.
I always loved Tim. I think his music is just something that cannot be compared to anyone else. Except of course his son. They both created something so incomparable and so special. Just so sad that both of them died and their art and what could have been. will be lost forever.
started this one several times, never got through it. sorry
not listening to nazi music
i forgot what i thought about it. i guess it was decent. an 80s staple to say so.
good but a bit too on the nose for my taste
sounds all the same to me
nice. alice cooper slays!
cute love the voices and the sound. great album didnt know them before.
Iconic. Cure always wins.
bowie is iconic but I feel like most of his music isnt for me
raw, real, pure. stan hole hate love.
mid, good sound but more background music for me mostly.
it's good but man...i could use some sense in the music I listen to. But I believe their non live albums are great and if I was there live it sure would've been something.
good tracks but mostly background noise for me
loved the german radio in the background in that one song
Taylor Swift could have written Nebraska but Bruce Springsteen could have never written All too well (taylor's version) (10 minute version) (from the vault)
sound so much like the beach boys. but i think they were there earlier. good tunes.
not reallly my thing but what a stage presence he must have had. the girls were going crazy.
cool. not my fav but def not bad.
i guess aerosmith never misses. expect in choosing a decent man as their lead singer. kudos.
great and catchy songs, and some really cool concept songs
good, i guess revolutionary.
liked it. music to play if you own a studio apartment in ny and want to impress your date.
sorry just not my kinda thing.
if i was a gal in the 50s i would lose my mind over him
god i loved it. the sounds, the cohesiveness everything. should listen to it more, only knew the title track.
great but not my fav. can appreciate tho
interesting band. gotta read their history and stuff.
liked it alot kinda ahead of their time werent they?
it's so much fun! and sounds like it came out yesterday. truly iconic
80s paradebeispiel. adore it
cute, calm. great sound, but don't think I'll listen much...
interesting sound, love psychadelic 60s stuff.
allright, a bit boring...
it's good but I just don't like this kinda music. sorry
iconic but not the best. enjoyable tho
it's not the best but it is fun! i only knew meat loaf from my father and because he got hacked to pieces by tim curry (meat loaf not my father). But maaan this man is fun. good album with fun tracks, loved that stupid intro for you take the words right out my mouth. so kitsch but love it.
couldn't wait for this one to be over. didn't hate it, could appreaciate it vrey much, I think it's truly interesting and cohesive, but just not my cuppa tea.
quite good, cannot complain. good sound good voice, just prince
always loved his music, but just recently learned what a POS he apparently was to his wifes and gfs. no approved! one star will be removed due to this.
cannot believe that these men are british. they know they fucked when they released this album. good one, but not the greatest one.
great sound. seems like it also could've been recorded much later. a sound that seemed to define the music industry.
gnome and scarecrow have been staples in my halloween music for years now. like the sound of it very much, a little bit too on the nose, like they were just fucking around and accidently created a masterpiece, but actually, they are masterminds yk? you can just hear their talent and what they are gonna be one day through these tracks. you notice the difference between them and other musicians immediately. insane.
a few good ones, but honestly feels like some kids asking their mother if they could make rock music and then they just scream and stuff. the "your kiss so sweet, sweat so sour" - part is either genius or just dumb cannot decide yet.
great soung, makes the heart beat faster
great music, good sound just good vibes love it
quite good, hip hop is not my fav but his one is enjoyable! Recommend!
first vinyl I ever bought, after hotel california. I think I have a certain love for california and LA music. This album is just truly one of the greatest ever. lyrically especially the title track, but just overall a great album with deep meaning behind every line. makes me think about watching clueless and stuff. but never heard what they were singing in purple stain. not sure if I should be disgusted or kinda turned on?
love it. quintessential rock, made me look into their history more, and not sure what to think of axl rose (axl rose husband, is the only thing I am thinking), great tunes, and insane debut album. but sweet child is just so overplayed. every cool kid plays that shit over and over again. still great song tho so...
never heard any music by him exept she when I rewatch notting hill for the millionth time. i liked this music, it sounds good but a bit too dated. didn't like his pretentious voice, he didn't sound like that in she so the only reference I had was that. don't know if he sounds like that on every album...
Hauntingly beautiful voice. ever ever heard of her and immediatly fell in love. country usually isn't my thing (minus ts debut or any dolly parton bc duh), but she made me realize that I actually do like the country-folk mixture she does.
loved the intro thought something really good would be coming. became mediocre while listening, and downright bad after I googled the guy. POS. Doesn't deserve the place on this list, better give it to one of his victims...
writing this as I am listening, just heard a song about dinos and now an unhinged guy scream about his mother. loving it. now he is stalking his ex, but we know that all dont we. at this point he is talking about murder. God I love this man. Also I love the police/or sting in that aspect because of two things: 1. my italian teacher used to live next to him in italy ans she always told the funniest stories of "her neighbor sting" 2. my ex loathes sting and always made fun of me for liking him, then put "englishman in new york" as my alarm. bc f him.
hate to say it as a blur girly but this album slaps. but for what a hypocrite for saying "dont look back in anger" when all he did was... anger. but no this is one of the best british albums since the beatles, I said what I said.
blood hound is fucked. I wonder if 50 did the bark himself. not unlistenable, but there are def better. many men is my fav. "I love you like a fat kid love cake", poetry. 3 star album but it's sooo long and repetetive, could've cut a few tracks.
the sound of the 80s, love her through and through cannot say anything bad about it. Would give it 4 stars but due to the fact that it is an iconic album, 5 stars.
I think this album is fun. Love concept albums and actually like these kind of 60s albums. Surely a strange album, not the best but def should be on the 1001 list because you had to listen to such a fun and innovative album. A 3 star album for me but because of the funny concept. 4
not bad, just very bland. sounds like some college friends deciding to make music, your friend drags you to a show of theirs and you just sit there and afterwards say: "well they were... nice."
In Austria this album wasn't overplayed. Just know it from TikTok etc. but this one is a gem. Truly Hit after Hit, and the fillers are just also so great. No skipper.
tried to listen to this like 3 times, always failed so...
listened to it while doing some work, but I liked it. bit long and every song sounds the same, but ok.
I AM A JOHNNY CASH LOVER I DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE
stupid I got this one months ago and forgot about it. I sorta knew I would love it, but it fills me with such joy. It's exactly what I need and what I love about music.
surely not my fav from him but good
cute one, a fall listen i feel like.
That man was flirting with that guitar for too long. I liked it but was listening to it while doing something for uni which usually isn't a problem for me but I got a headache from this one. strange. and the way they played everything so often and stuff... it's not a bad album but I guess sth else should be on this list in it's place.
they wrote no surprises for 15yo me.
yeah great what do u want me to say.
great one cause I'm already listening to my halloween playlist and this one fits right in.
Interesting concept but someone tell me if he was just sad and mad, cause no one wanted to do his movie idea so he just went along with this thing.
I thought I wouldn't like it, but it wasn't all that bad. actually enjoyable.
I actually love Tango, I def need to listen to it more.
usually a 3star album for me but for yellow 4
didn't like it at all. sounds like something some annoying teenager would listen to
interesting album, truly deep
never been a mj kinda girl but damn, hit after hit.
good music, but didnt catch me.
not that great but it's the brieflos song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! brieflos for youuuuu
like it very much, but seems a bit like backhround music for me.
to know that my review won't ever be as good as the top review for this album
can't wait to wear a nirvana shirt to school
loved it so much, pls don't tell me that they did anything bad or sth, I didn't research this one beforehand.
do people actually like this? like, like-like? it's fine ig.
Not Bad also Not good, rather short
dad music but I am a father in my own female right
banger after banger, love this guy
sad this isn't on spotify. it isn't bad at all, but not the thing I'd listen to on a regular basis. would give it 3,5
loved it so much, never heard of her.
brits and their 16 minutes electronic tracks
as a westerner myself, this isn't something I'm truly drawn to. I love the representation, it surely is good, but just not something I'll listen to on a regular basis.
Man I should've given her a chance sooner
this reminds me of my ex. he didn't listen to dre but he talked like that and was a white boy with a tiny dick.
loved it. and it's my bf fav band so :)
I love this kinda music! but it's not a 5star for me personally
loved the kinda grunge aspect of it
too young to sing songs about being a lone wolf and getting hanged in the old west just old enough to sing along to this slapping shit.
the kinda 70s thing i fuck with
hard slay for my boys. sorry to say it.
so sad I couldn't be an angsty teen in the 90s.
like it but not that exiting
feels like talking to some pretentious man you've met at a bar
like it very much. strong voice and good songs. just your typical music ig.
this one was fun with a lil bit of asmr mixed in
sexy and good music. didn't know anything from them except no scrubs but def will give them another listen. really good music and fun!
I saw Stop making Sense in cinema last week. Been wanting to listen to more TH since.
always really liked some of these songs but all together they don't seem so different and special.
THIS ONE WAS INSANE loved the cat song meow meow. today is also the birthday of my lovely cats so purrfect! no but really liked this one, knew some songs before from tiktok and stuff but didn't know the person who was responsible for these BANGERS!
usually I like her but this one just wasn't for me honestly....
loved it, and strange how many of those songs are still samples today! didn't know they came from one iconic album.
I AM AN ALEX TURNER AND MILES KANE LOVER
not every song was sth for me but I love french music and some of these really showed talent.
not... that special. really I don't get iggy pop.
this is the third beastie boys album in 2weeks. it's still my bfs fav band so I have to like it.
loved the sound. it's quite interesting and artistic
hard slay. loved every second of it. my bf also loves it so.... :)
def expected sth else. but pleased
love how bad it is. just screaming. great
perfect mix of the kinda music I like, a summer listen
I like the basketball opera sound. sounds just like the other album I got from him but quite liked I Want You
loved it. great music. listened to it while studying. prolly gonna be in my playlist for autumn!
it's david bowie I get it, but I don't get him
embarrasingly enough I didn't know this was the simon and garfunkel guy but yeah bangers.
The first vinyl I bought was this one. I was 14 and feeling edgy in the 2010s. had a short phase of loving them and now I get surprised that I know every single song of them by heart, completly forgot about this talent of mine.
listened to this one twice because I didn't like it all that much at first but it's good overall
I guess it is alright? I didn't find it patriculary interesting but didn't find it bad.
my god, I skipped this one for a long time but it WAS LIFE CHANGING
I AM A DUSTY LOVER SHE CAN DO NO WRONG
liked it from time to time but in the end didn't catch me
I was unfortunately a Smiths Fan as a tween so I feel like I need to give this one 5 stars.
didn't like it all that much, was much more of a VU fan a few years ago, but I would feel bad if I gave it a bad grad.e
liked it but not that much. it's quite homogeneous
wow! I don't have a great opinion of U2 always found them rather boring but. okkkkk. I will listen to this one often!
i didn't like how it constantly repeated itself. just found it quite boring tbh.
boring as hell. not bad not at all, but there are so many albums like this one on this list, but this one just shouldn't be here. how can 2minutes feel sooooo long. each song felt like the 10m version of all too well.
didn't like it all that much, but was really surprised, i knew a lot of these songs! iconic
everything sinatra is great but only background music for me
I don't like the lazy 80s sound of this whatever.
as a former green day girly who thought the worst in music were people like taylor swift who grew up to be a taylor swift fan this gave me flashbacks to my teenage years and teenage angst. I always thought this one was peak music and I like it very much but I will give this one a bad grade because I cannot bear the embarrasment of being an akward teen and this brought me right back.
it's a halloween listen, and it's august.
I guess I am the only european person who doesn't like ABBA all that much. It sounds like German Schlager to me.
strangely enough I enjoyed it, but wouldn't listen to it in the car.
way to many american dad titles in this playlist
my bf loves him. I liked the Album but not too much.
I was a the Smiths fan back in the day (when I was an angsty teen like everyone else) so this one is unfortunately a 10/10 for me.
didn't really like it all that much.
My GOD what a banger. Unfortunately the songs aren't all available on spotify, atleast in my country. Def will listen again. This is why I love 1001 Albums. Easily learn about new stuff, you would've never found else.
it's bowie. iconic, but I don't like all that bowie.
loved it. I got the slim shady EP a few days ago, and this one feels so much more "mature" like he has his own style figured out, and it's such so special.
I just don't really like reggea
this one is sooo good. first heard of her in gilmore girls, and thought that I def need to listen to her in the future. now the time has come, only like 10years after I heard of her when tristan thought pj harvey was a man.
boring. not necessarily bad, but like... so much I've heard before. But I would've thought, that this album is from the 90s-00s just from the sound of some songs. so these guys already did boring 00s music in the 80s. that's cool.
Gilmore Girls Jam, but the other stuff didn't stick out.
I just don't like this album. It has some very famous songs on it, I can appreciate this, and many people love this album and her, but I just always get a weird vibe with her. so boring fo rme personally
I liked it. U2 just gives such a positive 90s vibe
I liked it. maybe have to give another listen to it
I loved it. It sounds like all my childhood favorite movie soundtracks but slightly different. interesting opening song. not sure what to think
sorry to everyone who knows an unbearable person with a poster of this album on the wall. but this shit slaps.
Didn't stick out to me. Liked it but will not listen to it again.
As a girl who had a the Doors phase when she was 15 and even wrote a book that was heavily influenced by them. I can only give them 5stars.
some songs were very good, but most of it was pretty homogenous
enjoyable, but didn't impress me much
background music. it is not bad or annoying but not my cuppa tea
whoever told these guys they were good
Usually not a LounReed gal but this one slaps
This is one of my all time favs. insane debut album. the raw rage and talent with the most powerfull voice. she ate
first track gave me a headache.
I like some of their albums but this one was really boring compared to the other ones..
It's not that I didn't like it at all, but it was really boring
I LOVE BLUR THEY ARE THE BEST SO MUCH BETTER THAN OASIS
I didnt like this one. it was a bit boring and a bit of a loop
actually liked this one more than some other bob dylan stuff
I loved it. My bf showed me ellioth smith a while ago, but I enjoyed this album a bit more than the last one of his I got on here.
Didn't think I'd like it but it was great.
not a big offspring girl but this album slapped
enjoyed it was great to listen to and chill to
I don't even like this pj harvey guy
I don't know why but I liked it. that christmasy song halfway through was also really nice. christmas is in a week so. :)
boring to be honest. but it's insane how modern this sounds.
not my fav rolling stones I had so far. a bit boring
Listened to this 3 times while doing stuff for uni. didnt really stand out to me but loved the grungy vibe
loved the phil specter interlude. such a calm and kind man. wonder what he did in his later years.
didn't enjoy it as much as other radiohead records
enjoyed it tho it wasnt my fav
I actually enjoyed this even tho it felt like an 0815 indie album
i usually dont like this stuff but it was relaxing
honestly loved it. some tracks are too pop for me but all in all great
I loved this album when I was a teen. everything about it brings nostalgia, but I feel like it doesn't hold up. not to say, that it isn't good, it's just to plain for me.
I listened to this twice. didnt like it at first, but liked it the second time.
I knew some songs, liked them when I was younger. I'm not a big Smashing Pumpkins fan but I enjoyed this album and will listen to some tracks in the future.
enjoyed it, will listen to them more
It was kinda bleh, but MAN LAYLA is just one of a kind. honestly, I'll put it out there, this is one of the greatest songs written about a woman. I wanna be LAYLA
I liked their leben heisst leben cover, but nothing else
I usually like the kinks, but this was not it..
this one slaps it's a chill album
I liked some of the songs but overall it lacked something for me
this is a fall listen. unfortunately it's spring but I loved it nevertheless
this is such a good album. seems like something from another era but still modern.
I liked it. Seemed modern. And they are playing at a venue nearby soon. maybe I'll go.
I already loved their other album I got a while ago. liege and thief. this is exactly why I love 1001 albums. wouldn't have known them if it wasn't for this funny little app.
I listened to it like 10times over the weekend. didn't really like it as a whole, but the hits are really hitting.
This is such a hard slay. My flat is next to a big sports institute with the most beautiful trees and fields in a busy part of town. In the summertime there are sometimes parties and the wind blows the music right into our apartment with a bit of a mystical vibe. enjoy the silence once played there and it flowed right into my apartment while I was falling asleep with the open windows. It was a beautiful feeling which I will always associate with my first summer in this big town.
used to love this one when I was a teen. It's still really good, but the angst just isn't there for me anymore.
he looks like a witch on a broom on the cover
I had a talk with my boyfriend this weekend about the beatles and how left people argue that they are (john lennon is) right, because nowadays those stances wouldn't be what we consider "left". I love having discussions with my boyfriend and we came to the conclusion, that you should take the view of the time into consideration. this is just such a left album almost marxistic and this kinda made it better for me because honestly I CANNOT stand john lennon. here you go 4stars
great one, loved that the album is 12h long
I liked this one because of the sound, but all reviews shade the lyrics. I didn't listen to the lyrics and now I am afraid to.
liked it, not alot but yeah
interesting sound, relaxing
listening to this on a train ride in april felt really good
had another one of this one but I liked the other one more
Liked it. Listened to it twice cause I forgot that I did this one already but I could never forget the blowjob line
Why do white men like this, it's just really boring
The Car one was insane but his impression of john lennon was funny
Honestly, never really liked his music.
don't wanna give a nazi sexist pig my time.
I was never a Lorde kinda girl but this one slapped. I wanna listen to it in the summer in a playlist that contains some lana del rey and folklore by taylor swift. kinda hard but still sweet.
kinda reminded me of tears for fears and talking heads idk if that fits
I like me some country, currently writing my bachelor thesis about western and women so this one goes into the PLAYLIST
karma chameleon is the worst ohrwurm you can have
Beautiful. I got this one in may. gonna listen to it all summer long while drinking iced tea and eating peach salad.
When prince died I was just a child. Everyone was losing their mind and I didn't know the man. Someone told me he is like Michael Jackson. I will never forget that. Because he is better than MJ.
This resulted in a long discussion with my boyfriend about the private life of MJ. Difficult person slaying in music
I once wore an iron maiden t-shirt when I was 12 and an older girl who was a "rocker" told me, real iron maiden fans would beat me up, because I'm not a real fan. This shit isn't heavy enough for someone to be telling a girl this.
loved this one but imagine took me out
LOVED THIS ONE IT'S A SUMMER JAM
This is the best album of all time. no notes. I sold my first car last week and I had the best memories of driving around and listening to this album. I had so many CDs but the only one that was in my player was this one.
please stop it with the elvis costello albums. I cannot bear to listen to another one.
calming and nice. If I were like a english fella in the 90s I would be insufferable listening to this.
everyone where who gives this one a bad rating IS BORING!!!
it was too loud for me, I feel like an old woman
I love time of the season but the rest is just... meh
liked it. not all but it had a great start.
I got this one the day after he died. How cruel. I liked this album, it wasn't really good, but really fun. Vegetable song, sex song, whatever.
this wasn't bad but it washed over me.
This was fun, what can I say?
Some are really really good, and season of the witch has such a special place in my heart as the best song for fall, but... hmm
THIS ONE SLAPS SO BAD. I LOVE DIRE STRAITS. When I was 17 I was working as a waitress during the summer and one german guest would always listen to fortunate son on the restaurant patio. HATED IT. We asked him if he could play something else like Dire Straits and he said they were shit. Well FUCK YOU GERMAN DUDE.
Perfect timing. Unis out.
My bf loves this one. I never heard it before but knew he likes it. I like it too now! Really good, feels like a top 10 of all time.
He is playing in my home town today. The local newspaper wrote about making a difference between the art and the artist. I cannot, it is really hard if it's a man like this. But damn his music is GOOD. I cannot bring myself to give it a bad grade. It is good. He is an asshole.
This is such a powerhouse. The power of love song is soooo powerfull. It's been on my mind ever since it was the closing track of "all of us strangers", so great. just incredible
I like his voice in the fall. halloween and stuff. he is great for that. also he was in shrek. goated
This one was so great. I loved every second of it. I honestly didn't know they were the mtv unplugged nirvarna people. great one.
It's not that I didn't like it. It's just a bit boring
Need to listen to it again another time. Liked the sound and stuff, but couldn't listen to the music that much. but I like some other artists of the genre more than him.
this one is so cute. perfect summer album for sitting inside writing uni papers.
It's quite short but a nice beach boys album. but they got better ones.
it is quite cute, liked it, a bit depressing but beautiful nonetheless, but not on spotify. :(
Slapped, but honestly, I don't know if I would listen to it again...
I understand critique about the modernity of the album, but you gotta admit: it's great. Maybe some of you are just basic white males.
my thesis is about western movies so this slapped while writing. but it's soooo long
i hate the velvet underground
the man is a racist but he makes great music what can i say? i hate him
really liked this! def gonna listen to it more.
never listened to him much, but now he's got my heart. Also as a Vienna local this is so special.
liked it. immediatly after came a joni mitchell song, it fits.
it's not really bad, but doesn't deserve to be on this list.
comp album and not even good
it's a calm listen. nothing like I expected. liked it very much, no one can hate a good concept album. but lacked something, so 4 stars
Loved this one. such a gothic love album for the fall approaching. a few songs weren't my cuppa tea but it was a banger nonetheless.
my boyfriend loves this band and after I first met him in uni, I listened to this album all the time to understand what he likes about it. I love this album, but not only because it reminds me of the sweet flustering feeling of our honeymoon phase.
this is such a banger I have to see the movie now
it's a fall listen. but a great one. my fav waits so far
it feels a bit modern, the rest is just meh
There is nothing I can say.
This is one of the greatest for me. When I started Uni I was listening to tusk non stop. Next month I will start an even better programm in Uni and this one gets me right into the groove for it!
I love the eagles. they are such a staple beyond hotel california. this one is such a fav. witchy woman is also my fall staple.
this made me so nervous while studying I had to stop
I listened to this in november. it's so cozy and nice. almost like a winte album.
pretty nice 80s rock but doesn't stand out to me.
not my fav pj harvey. it is not gritty enough for me
my fav beatles one so far
I wrote my bachelor thesis about western movies and this one would have been great for listening to it while writing. but I am already done. 4 stars nonetheless.
liked it. but didn't stand out to me.
It's great but I don't like how long each track is. I like the length but yk. cut it down so I can get peeks at every one of them
I really really want to like this. It should've stayed in the vault a little longer. the production is just not it. but I like it nonetheless for what it stands for.
the cover is cooler than the music
Great Fall Listen. Need to be in the woods now.
some of it isn't quite homogenous. but overall great.
liked it, but HATE when a track is 20 Minutes. BREAK IT DOWN
this is exactly my cup of tea. so cute, so medieval knight saving me.
first time listener. only knew sympathy which is just a great opening track. otherwise great album aswell.
liked it, not my fav but some great sounds
I wanted to like it, but it didnt work for me
I had a phase when I was 15 and a smiths girl where I was really into drive. made a whole playlist with the same vibe. never listened to the other stuff. it is good, nice voice and stuff. but not world shattering.
I give so many 5 stars because I like so many things! but this one should be on a whole other level. one of the top 10s
i am not impressed. he made better albums later
