Tim Buckley
5/5
I always loved Tim. I think his music is just something that cannot be compared to anyone else. Except of course his son. They both created something so incomparable and so special. Just so sad that both of them died and their art and what could have been. will be lost forever.

Meat Loaf
5/5
it's not the best but it is fun! i only knew meat loaf from my father and because he got hacked to pieces by tim curry (meat loaf not my father). But maaan this man is fun. good album with fun tracks, loved that stupid intro for you take the words right out my mouth. so kitsch but love it.
Todd Rundgren
2/5
couldn't wait for this one to be over. didn't hate it, could appreaciate it vrey much, I think it's truly interesting and cohesive, but just not my cuppa tea.
Prince
4/5
quite good, cannot complain. good sound good voice, just prince
Miles Davis
3/5
always loved his music, but just recently learned what a POS he apparently was to his wifes and gfs. no approved! one star will be removed due to this.
UB40
3/5
cannot believe that these men are british. they know they fucked when they released this album. good one, but not the greatest one.
Curtis Mayfield
4/5
great sound. seems like it also could've been recorded much later. a sound that seemed to define the music industry.
Pink Floyd
4/5
gnome and scarecrow have been staples in my halloween music for years now. like the sound of it very much, a little bit too on the nose, like they were just fucking around and accidently created a masterpiece, but actually, they are masterminds yk? you can just hear their talent and what they are gonna be one day through these tracks. you notice the difference between them and other musicians immediately. insane.
Gang Of Four
2/5
a few good ones, but honestly feels like some kids asking their mother if they could make rock music and then they just scream and stuff. the "your kiss so sweet, sweat so sour" - part is either genius or just dumb cannot decide yet.
Charles Mingus
5/5
great soung, makes the heart beat faster
Lynyrd Skynyrd
4/5
great music, good sound just good vibes love it
A Tribe Called Quest
4/5
quite good, hip hop is not my fav but his one is enjoyable! Recommend!
Red Hot Chili Peppers
5/5
first vinyl I ever bought, after hotel california. I think I have a certain love for california and LA music. This album is just truly one of the greatest ever. lyrically especially the title track, but just overall a great album with deep meaning behind every line. makes me think about watching clueless and stuff. but never heard what they were singing in purple stain. not sure if I should be disgusted or kinda turned on?
Guns N' Roses
4/5
love it. quintessential rock, made me look into their history more, and not sure what to think of axl rose (axl rose husband, is the only thing I am thinking), great tunes, and insane debut album. but sweet child is just so overplayed. every cool kid plays that shit over and over again. still great song tho so...
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
never heard any music by him exept she when I rewatch notting hill for the millionth time. i liked this music, it sounds good but a bit too dated. didn't like his pretentious voice, he didn't sound like that in she so the only reference I had was that. don't know if he sounds like that on every album...
Emmylou Harris
5/5
Hauntingly beautiful voice. ever ever heard of her and immediatly fell in love. country usually isn't my thing (minus ts debut or any dolly parton bc duh), but she made me realize that I actually do like the country-folk mixture she does.
Ryan Adams
1/5
loved the intro thought something really good would be coming. became mediocre while listening, and downright bad after I googled the guy. POS. Doesn't deserve the place on this list, better give it to one of his victims...
The Police
5/5
writing this as I am listening, just heard a song about dinos and now an unhinged guy scream about his mother. loving it. now he is stalking his ex, but we know that all dont we. at this point he is talking about murder. God I love this man. Also I love the police/or sting in that aspect because of two things: 1. my italian teacher used to live next to him in italy ans she always told the funniest stories of "her neighbor sting" 2. my ex loathes sting and always made fun of me for liking him, then put "englishman in new york" as my alarm. bc f him.
5/5
hate to say it as a blur girly but this album slaps. but for what a hypocrite for saying "dont look back in anger" when all he did was... anger. but no this is one of the best british albums since the beatles, I said what I said.
50 Cent
2/5
blood hound is fucked. I wonder if 50 did the bark himself. not unlistenable, but there are def better. many men is my fav. "I love you like a fat kid love cake", poetry. 3 star album but it's sooo long and repetetive, could've cut a few tracks.
Madonna
5/5
the sound of the 80s, love her through and through cannot say anything bad about it. Would give it 4 stars but due to the fact that it is an iconic album, 5 stars.
The Who
4/5
I think this album is fun. Love concept albums and actually like these kind of 60s albums. Surely a strange album, not the best but def should be on the 1001 list because you had to listen to such a fun and innovative album. A 3 star album for me but because of the funny concept. 4
The xx
2/5
not bad, just very bland. sounds like some college friends deciding to make music, your friend drags you to a show of theirs and you just sit there and afterwards say: "well they were... nice."
MGMT
5/5
In Austria this album wasn't overplayed. Just know it from TikTok etc. but this one is a gem. Truly Hit after Hit, and the fillers are just also so great. No skipper.

That man was flirting with that guitar for too long. I liked it but was listening to it while doing something for uni which usually isn't a problem for me but I got a headache from this one. strange. and the way they played everything so often and stuff... it's not a bad album but I guess sth else should be on this list in it's place.

This is such a hard slay. My flat is next to a big sports institute with the most beautiful trees and fields in a busy part of town. In the summertime there are sometimes parties and the wind blows the music right into our apartment with a bit of a mystical vibe. enjoy the silence once played there and it flowed right into my apartment while I was falling asleep with the open windows. It was a beautiful feeling which I will always associate with my first summer in this big town.
