yeah okay all AC/DC songs are in four and are all about having sex but have you considered dudes rock

Un album tellement classique. En plus Bon Scott au chant ! J,adore, un de mes prefs de AC/DC. À écouter 5/5

👍🏼

Listened to on 4/18/22 5/5 Favorite song: Highway to Hell Absolutely classic - listened to it 3 times

Great album. The best sounding album recorded with Bon Scott. The songs are fantastic but this is the first album the band recorded with producer, Mutt Lange, who really pushed AC/DC into the big league. Best songs are the title track, Touch Too Much and If You Want Blood. Weakest tracks are Love Hungry Man and Night Prowler. However, these are still good tracks.

What a Monday treat!

A masterclass in feel good metal. Anything other than 5 is an insult.

The energy! The chops!

Embarrassing moment of second-guessing myself with this. I initially listened to this, perfectly enjoying it, but with the critical intention of determining whether this monolith of rock warranted the full 5 stars, an intention that slightly drained the sheer pleasure. This is not the mindset to approach this album, or any AC/DC album. Yes, I know, that's obvious. So, I applied some common sense. I went out and did enough physical labour to require a fistful of Deep Heat (I dug graves for two dogs), got some beers in and just rocked out (if any band justifies the employment of the phrase "rock out", it's surely AC/DC). And to nobody's surprise I loved every note, every clear, direct, unpretentious note. Akin to a perfectly cooked steak, the exact amount of taste and blood.

Perfect

99. Highway to Hell - AC/DC 10 tracks. I think I've mentioned before that I REALLY didn't like AC/DC in my younger days, (along with The Cure), and old me now wonders what on Earth was going on in my head back then? Absolutely love this. 5/5

Very nice

Album had a lot more bangers than I’d realize

I was in the mood to turn my brain off and ROCK!!! so I'm glad to get this today. 40 minutes of straight-up rock anthems. I'm going to give this 5 stars because it's a classic good time. My only criticism is that at least 70% of the lyrics are about how much they like having sex with women... maybe mix it up a bit and throw in more lyrics about partying or Satan?

Rock puro. Guitarreo, ritmo y fuerza. Todo un clasicazo de una superbanda

It's 'Highway to Hell', c'mon.

So much Rock'n'Roll! Love Bon Scotts singing. Iconic album.

Yeah this one rocks!

Classic hard rock n roll

Always a favorite of mine!

very good rock

You don’t get to be one of the quintessential rock bands of history by releasing boring albums.

It is a classic, and it's pretty much flawless.

Great album, didn't know as many of the songs as I thought I would. Night prowler, shot down in flames, and, of course, the epic title track were the highlights. Funny to think that some people used to think that this was as heavy/fast/extreme/metal as music would ever become - if they only knew!

It's iconic. The final stand of the Bon Scott era of AC/DC and it was an amazing (If unintentional) way to send the man off. It start's with probably their most anthemic song and doesn't stop the amazing pace until the final refrains of Night Prowler. A personal highlight is the sudo deep cut of If You Want Blood

One of the absolute greatest.

Even though I prefer bon Scott as a singer, I think back in black was a better album

absolut brillianter Klassiker

I've always had it in my head that AC/DC basically just write the same song over and over again, but I ended up really enjoying the album from start to finish. Musical highlight of my weekend.

Vinte. MotA: Highway to Hell "Livin' easy, lovin' free"

Raspy, shows its age in a good way. tons of focus on the drums.

Already knew this one. Great hard rock album.

This is what you imagine when you think of Classic Australian Rock. Great Album. Shazbot Nanu Nanu.

Loved AC/DC as a kid, was more used to Brian Johnson but Jon Bon Scott is just as iconic for ACDC (always think it’s cool how similar singers they are) and I think it was his final album before he died. Can’t think of much to say… it’s ACDC. It rocks.

Power Chords? ✅. Awesome Guitar solos? ✅. Brian Johnson vocals? ✅ . If all 3 are correct, you have an AC/DC album, please rate high and move along.

No complaints here. A cohesive album, didn't think there was a bad song, very much enjoyed

Incredible rock n roll, first time listening to a full AC/DC album. Everything is awesome! Just wish the drums were crazier!!!

Amazing album

Mint. 5/5

Banging album. Back to black is better though

Bon Scott’s last album. The end of an era the last AC/DC album that still felt a little bit raw before they came back with the monster that was Black in Black. Crunching riffs, great solos, childish innuendo, unforgettable choruses and a relentless rhythm section that makes you nod your head and stomp your feet. Rock and Roll perfection.

Every song is killer.

Eu gosto mais do Back In Black por pura nostalgia mas Highway to Hell eh gold tambem

Its a great album. Fun, catchy pop rock

Great album and full of fun. I liked that every song was a rock out song, no slow bits at all

One of my top ten albums.

When you see this album cover, you should already know. These wild boys will rock your socks off whether that is on a hot summer day playing outside, jamming out with an air guitar, or watching any Iron Man movie. I think this might be my favorite of their albums but Back In Black might be there too. Either way, if you are looking for rock, roll, and blood, you've got it.

Yaaaaaaaaaaassssssss

all time classic!!!!!<3

Long live Bon Scott!

ROWDYY!! Felt blessed to bathe in the rhythms of this invigorating, ruthless record- reminded me of a familiar childhood comfort of family night-outs through its raucous, knockabout spirit and rhapsodic hold. 4 stars ✌️ignited my soul. in criticism it finds itself repetitive (and superficial at its worst)

May be better than back in black but I swear half of these are on BinB

I am sure all the parents loved seeing a rock star as a devil on the album cover

Great classic rock

I really dont like acdc but this is a good album

A rock classic indeed, only overshadowed by the masterpiece of Back in Black. But there’s something brilliantly seedy about HTH (& the Bon Scott albums).

I mean, you know what you’re getting with an AC/DC album, but they do it damn well.

While I love AC/DC, they are the definition of a band that puts out the same album over and over. That said, this, along with every other album rocks so hard. 8/10.

The best 3 chords, played for 40 minutes. Simple, but it’s so effective

25/06/2026

Iconic put listening to it I realize I had never listening completely before this time so I was amazing

It’s just a flat out great rock album. Easy 4

After listening to the excellent Back in Black, Highway to Hell has a lot to live up to as its predecessor. And I'll be honest... it doesn't quite get there. When a single track boasts roughly 20x the number of streams as the next most-listened-to one, you have to ask yourself: is this album worth its weight? I'm reminded of Dexys Midnight Runners's "Too Rye Ay" album, with Come On Eileen at 850 million streams and Jackie Wilson Said, the next biggest, at just 9 million. Regardless: Very spirited performances in every song. The guitars and vocals are pretty fantastic, and the bass/drums don't slack off either. AC/DC is clearly an incredible live band. I'd love to hear an extended solo or three from their prime days. Girls Got Rhythm is straight up Bitch (from the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers) but with a different singer. Shot Down in Flames, interestingly, is also extremely comparable to Bitch. Those riffs are near-identical, down to the key. I hope AC/DC paid their due royalties. The source material is great, though, so Girls Got Rhythm is great by extension. Next we have Walk All Over You: catchy but ultimately forgettable on account of lacking any memorable hooks or melodies. But it's performed so damn well. I can't hate these guys. All the "metal gatekeepers" in the reviews section need to realise that (a) the band isn't obviously intending to be metal, and (b) AC/DC was popular for a reason. You need to take that into account. Judging music needs to involve a solid understanding of its cultural impact. And HtH was a behemoth back in the day. If You Want Blood (You've Got It)... heck yeah. That's the riff I was looking for. The crowd-singing fadeout at the end is the cherry on top. Later, in the intense finale Night Prowler, a great guitar solo cements the listener's belief that this is a band to be reckoned with. By this point in the album, you've noticed – and accepted – the fact that every song has the same texture and bounces back and forth between just a couple of keys. But it's okay. It's AC/DC, bitch! 4/5 Key tracks: Highway to Hell, Touch Too Much, If You Want Blood (You've Got It)

Now this is pure dopamine. Loved it.

a great aussie album, some really good tracks that you don’t normally get to hear

that was not as good as I expected

People always make fun of AC/DC for making the same song over and over, but while I was listening to this album I tried to imagine an alternate universe where they experimented with disco beats, or maybe power ballads, or tried their hands at incorporating electronic elements. I couldn’t do it.

There’s only so much AC/DC I can do in a row because the songs start to blend together at a certain point. But how can you deny the simplicity and the straight forward pop character of a hard rock album like this. The production is obscenely good, I was surprised at how great this album sounds. Hard not to like

My Last.fm stats say I have not relistened to AC/DC since I was in high school, which is to say a long time ago. AC/DC is a band that does what they do best: chugging riffs and making music for you to drink to. High floor, low ceiling: you know the expectations and if you just need them to be met and that's all: they're perfect. The Bon Scott era makes people forget how big they were before they insanely won the music lottery again and became Icons. Give AC/DC their due, they are pretty good with riffs. The hooks would improve with Back in Black however. Highway to Hell (the song) is one of the many AC/DC songs that will be some part of the human international songbook alongside the Beatles, Hallelujah, Seven Nations Army, and Mr. Brightside. People will remember these songs (for better and worse) long in the future over most things we listen to in the current era. People are gonna still pick up guitars and want to play and sing this song live. God it must have been fucking crazy to see AC/DC in their Bon Scott prime and Brian Johnson prime. Their early live performances are what drove attention to them and moved them from Australian's darlings to an incredibly big Rock and Roll band across the world. Highway to Hell (the album) was a great breakthrough for the band and got them to be big outside of their home country. The album itself is filled with half good songs (title track, Walk All Over You, Touch Too Much, Show Down in Flames and If You Want Blood (You've Got It). They follow the AC/DC formula successfully. The others are either too bland or just not great. But the riffs man, the riffs are quite powerful.

Raucous fun from the Down Underworld

Solid hard rock record (made me want to watch Maximum Overdrive again lol) with pretty much a perfect first side. The music ain't high art, but for its purpose, it's exactly what you need, from both a production and songwriting perspective. I like "Touch Too Much" the most.

I read somewhere that highway to hell is in the top 5 of selected funeral songs, and I think that’s beautiful ✨

Really good music !! They’re talented asf. Very groovy x Fav song is “Touch Too Much’.

Not the most adventurous band, to say it soft, but they sure can rock.

Excellent title track, great preparation for a day in the hills.

Tricky one this one. Listened the first time and loved the energy coupled with nostalgia. Listened the second time and got bored. A generous 4*

Always fun and high energy.

I found it quite repetitive. However, it has some memorable sounds. I really liked the choice of opening track. Ignoring the song's popularity, it's powerful, it's memorable, and it represents well what the album will be like next.I felt like I was back in my childhood, listening to my neighbor's old-school rock music.

Highway to Hell... palabras muy mayores. Disco mítico, el último de Scott, antes de otra bestia como Back in black, Touch Too Much, Walk All Over You, Shot Down in Flames, If You Want Blood (You've Got It) oNight Prowler

Highway to Hell is a pretty fun album. Back In Black (the previous album i did by AC/DC) isn't all that fresh in my mind so i'm not sure if i completely remember my opinions on it but i definitely do feel like this album is better since it feels a little bit more heavy and i definitely like heavier sounds in my hard rock albums. Every song here was very good with a bunch of great guitar riffs, catchy melodies and fun vocals. My main issue with this album is that all the songs sound super similar to each other to a point where i had trouble distinguishing them but the album wasn't overly long to a point where that was a huge turn off for me. I still enjoyed this album quite a lot. Best Song: Night Prowler Worst Song: Walk All Over You

high way to hell highway to hell way to hell to hell hell + go hell ______________________________ = this album is evil and satanic

One of the best intros to an album oat. This was the first album of the "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" list and it definitely started out with a banger. It's that classic rock sound that everybody loves. From Bon Scott's satisfying yet raspy and gritty vocals, to every amazing electric guitar riff, this album is just so much fun. It does get a bit repetitive at points, and the drum lines were very simple. But you can't deny how catchy it is and the band is definitely a great introduction into hard rock.

One of my favs, not the best one but damn close ..I love my AC/DC! Rock on

Classic AC/DC, what's not to like?

Very little filler: great stuff Also, I didn’t realize until listening to Touch Too Much how much Def Leppard’s early sound was borrowed from AC/DC

This was great! Sounds great and 70s but timeless!

i love

The last Bon album is a great sendoff. The songs are tighter, his singing is more refined, and there's more emphasis on structure and quality than before. You can thank "Mutt" Lang for that. While the technical aspects of this record are improvements on their past work, I still prefer the wild and out of control attitude of albums like "Let There Be Rock". Still an essential rock record.

Simple rock and fun all the way through. Probably a 3.5 for me, but bumping.

I really don't know how I feel about ACDC at this point. Back as a teenager - who thought thatguitars were boring - I saw them as the biggest example of my exhaustion with rock music. Later in my life - with a newfound realisation that guitars can be really fucking good - they're alright. I don't think anything here is mind-blowing brilliant, but it's good raucous fun. I think that's what the bands best at. Not everything has to be high art, and I think Highway To Hell serves as a great example of that.

classic album, a bit overrated

Solid rocker, 2nd best ACDC album. 4 stars.

war gut. aber bissi repetetiv

Swaggering, grooving, melting assault of proto cock rock.

Shermz: surely this album doesn’t need any introduction HAHA. Wenz: I need introduction 😂 Ok, but is another rock band to me, not a real fan, the songs are not too bad. Shermz: OMG but surely you’ve heard of highway to hell babesssss

Just good old classic rock and roll, easy listen. Like classic AC/DC but not entirely overplayed. Not a lot of variety across the album but that's not a bad thing

A CLASSICCC these dudes are so cool (musically)

Having two AC/DC albums with Bon Scott's last album & Johnson's first is probably the right choice? You can see the difference to some degree as you can hear the strain that Johnson puts on his voice to emulate Scott's. Scott's voice seems to much more natural sounding than Johnson's. Since this is my last AC/DC album on the list, I will looking for the least AC/DC sounding AC/DC song in their catalog. 4

Highway to Hell - 5/5 Girls Got Rhythm- 4/5 Walk All Over You - 3/5 Touch Too Much - 4/5 Beating Around the Bush - 2/5 Shot Down in Flames - 2.5/5 Get it Hot - 3/5 If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It) - 2/5 Love Hungry Man - 3/5 Night Prowler - 3/5 Overall 3.5/5

AC/DC is a high-energy, fun band to listen to. A lot of the songs sound pretty similar, but that’s just part of their formula. Back in Black is the stronger album, but the title track here is easily the standout.

This is a classic and the top songs are worthy of a 5 some of the lesser known songs Lowers the rating Sloghtly

It’s AC/DC!

solid album

Gear: Focalman Cleardara Artwork: 😈😆🫦 Production: 😐👍🆗 Music: ⚡️🎸🙂‍↕️ Rating: 🛣️🛣️🛣️🛣️/5

I think of all of the classic rock albums I've gotten, this is my favorite. Each song is high energy and makes you want to dance but doesn't drone on too long past the point that you're bored. Good job boys

Die gitaarsolo op Walk all over you? Fucking vet. FAVO: Highway to hell, Walk all over you, Beating Around the bush, If you want blood

Me gustó, emocionante

kinda tuff ngl

buen álbum pero con skips

A lot of fun! Saved me from having 40 boring minutes at work.

I was like a month old when this came out. Bon’s last album; Mutt’s first with the band as producer and you can hear it! 🤘

Album of absolute rockers. Such a breeze to listen to because it really just goes.

AC/DC always do their thing, and they do it well. 'Industrial-strength boogie' is the best description I've seen

Hadn't listened to AC/DC in yonks. Forgot how bluesy they are. Beating Around The Bush riff was a smash. Probably my third favourite record of theirs. Hard choice between 3 and 4 but going 4 for nostalgia bias.

I mean every song sounds the same but that’s not always a bad thing y’know!

Recently bought a record player and got this album from my moms record collection

A classic

AC/DC is so nostalgic to me. Fun listen!

Although I remember this album fondly, and the title track is one of my favourite AC/DC songs of all time, there's also a lot of filler. It feels slightly harsh to mark it down to four stars, but then I look at songs like "Love Hungry Man", think of pizza, and feel it's actually a fair score.

I was raised on this album so it was a re listen but this time as an active listen. There is a reason this band and this album is genre and era defining. It holds up and is amazing classic rock

When I look at the reviews for this album, I see a lot of whining about how all the songs sound the same. I get that you can’t control what you listen to on this project, but at least enjoy what you’ve got. If someone tells you that all you get to eat today is a big ass waffle, are you going to be happier savoring the waffle, or are you going to be happier thinking about everything else you could be having? Rock is about having fun and expressing yourself… you can hear that these guys were having fun when they made this album. Just enjoy it. Favorite Song: Beating Around the Bush Least Favorite Song: Love Hungry Man

divorced dad core, beer, rock roadtrip to grand canyon, hot Arizona day

Always great to listen to this album

Classic

A lot of people criticize AC/DC for their simplicity, but I would say there it something to that. Malcom Young is criminally underrated as a rhythm guitarist and oft overshadowed by his brother. While not quite as reaching some of the highs of some of the other albums of the Bon Scott era like Let There Be Rock. This album is still quite good. 4/5

Fun. Makes me feel like a sleazy asshole. Vocals are crazy.

Perfect rock album

Fun stuff. AC/DC really knows their niche and fills it perfectly. Just solid rock song after solid rock song. The guitar really gets in your face on each track and tells you all you need to know about the band. The vocals hold their own, but never really steal the show. The other components do enough to bring it together without being all that distinct in the mix. Highway to Hell is probably the best song on here, but the rest aren't far behind. Each track in isolation is pretty strong. Listening to them in a row does get a bit tedious, though. That's probably the biggest issue I have with the album-- it's all pretty similar the whole way through. Good, but similar. That's probably true of any AC/DC album given to how intently they stick with their sound (which I would do, too, if I sounded like they do). For what it is, this is a really good album. It rocks all the way from beginning to end. I think it falls a little short of great, though. Overall: 3.8/5

Good, old fashioned guitar rock!! Some great riffs and guitar solos on this one, and just a fun record to play loud. Highlights: "Highway to Hell" and "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)

Note : 4 À réécouter : Oui

I mean not my kind of type of music that I use to listen, but I do appreciate their intensity.

Whole lotta fun. Not as much of a beast as Back in Black but close enough. AC/DC is just a good party rock music. 🤘🏼😎🍺

Gracias por tanto Bon Scott

I’ve been a long time fan, and also think that one AC/DC album is pretty much interchangeable from any other. I’ve heard this album 100 times before, but this 101st listen was half-ass. Bonus star for history enjoyment.

As many others have said in their reviews, AC/DC songs all really do sound alike. However, this is still a very good album

Not surprisingly, it sounds like most AC/DC albums. :) Touch Too Much stood out of the songs I had not heard. 4/5

Cool shi

RAD AS FUCK BITCHES

Good album but I like the school of rock version of highway to hell the most

Great rock album. Not sure the first song is appropriate for Easter morning, but every song was a fun listen. 8.25/10 Top song Highway to hell (again I feel I need to mention Easter morning)

Excellent choice for Easter Sunday 🤘🤘🤘 Fun.

Have I listened to this album before? No How familiar am I with this album? I know some songs How do I feel about this artist? ACDC is fun but all there songs sound the same to me Favorite song(s)? Beating Around the Bush, Night Prowler Overall Thoughts: All the songs kind of ran together, but it was still banger after banger. Back in Black has a little more variety.

album cover is iconiccccccccccccccc only ever heard Highway to Hell before (naturally), but the rest is also pretty good. It might all sound similar, but it does not annoy me even in the slighest.

Never listened to this type of genre. Very cowboy rock. Like it a lot :)

Biisilista pitää sisällään jymäkkää hard rockia ja nimikappaleen lisäksi Walk All Over You, Touch Too Much ja If You Want Blood (You've Got It) kuuluvat bändin parhaimmistoon.

This music probably decreases IQ but it's anabolic so I'm fine with it

This is great. Would have loved to see Bon Scott live to be a part of Back in Black. They were on the trajectory towards that here.

Excellent album. Personally, I prefer the Back In Black album, which is a masterpiece, but this is very good as well. Lots to like on this record, including the title track, Touch Too Much, Girls Got Rhythm, Night Prowler and others. Fun stuff and four stars.

Crisp!

Classic rock album. Though Brian Johnson produced some bangers for them, I think I prefer the Bon Scott era of Ac/dc. This is a really good final album with him. Makes you wonder what could’ve been.

It wasn’t bad I added some songs to my main playlist.

Previously rated: #561 - Back in Black ******************************* Album #1,081 This is my first time listening through a full Bon Scott-led AC/DC album, though I knew at least three of these tracks already. It's a pretty solid album overall, but it doesn't reach the heights of Back in Black for me. The last couple of tracks were a bit mediocre, especially Night Prowler, but the rest was still pretty darn good. I will explore some more of their 70s stuff when I'm all done with this.

I mean they are pretty ludicrous if you think about it so best to just switch the brain off and enjoy because this is a helluva good time

Bowling alley music! Just your basic raunchy, power rock (sex, drugs, rock'n'roll), but they do it so well. They're just here to have a good time; don't take it too seriously. For anyone complaining that all AC/DC sounds the same: true, but nobody *else* sounds like AC/DC. They are instantly recognizable. This was the perfect brain-dead rock album for a brain-dead Friday. I enjoyed it.

I'm an AC/DC apologist. The final album of the Bon Scott era and it still rocks my ass.

I'm Australian, disparaging Acca Dacca is a bootable offense.

Very AC/DC, very good.

After the hits you forget how good these guys are. When I stop and think about it, there is no filler in the early years. Great stuff.

Enjoyed this even though it all sounds very similar. Pat singing along definitely put it over the edge

Classic Back to my teens

Solid classic rock album 4/5

Hard rock but it ain’t always easy

this was great. reminded me of my dad. would like to listen to again

It's a classic for a reason.

Good in like a riding in uncle Sam’s boat way. Not my usual vibe but it has its time and place fs.

Really only liked the first song

Hell yeah. 3.5 rounded up for If You Want Blood, one of the best needle drops ever, in the movie Empire Records.

Awesome with some bangers. 8.3/10

A rock-solid AC/DC album. Some absolutely killer tunes, with Beating Around the Bush being a real highlight - a rollicking riff that departs from the usual Young brothers formula. A couple of sub-par numbers and iffy lyrics knock it down to a 4 star.

It's a good album but personally just they get better after moving to Brian, it give them the extra kick from good to great.

Kova levy, on kuunneltu ja tullaan kuuntelemaan.

Great ACDC album that really defines rock and roll. Something that would keep your energy up from start to end. Overall a great album!

It's AC/DC, I don't know what else to say

just earlier today I gave Van Halen's Van Halen shit for being a great execution of a thing I don't particularly care about, and here I am about to give AC/DC a four for doing basically the same thing but I'm sorry, I love this, Bon Scott's scumbag warbling rules for all the same reasons I hate Diamond Dave and I am living so comfortably in this cognitive dissonance there are other better albums that are getting a lower score than this. I can't defend myself and I'm not even going to try, I'm just gonna listen to Touch Too Much again

Nothing will ever touch Back in Black, but this was still pretty good.

Fun listen

A classic. Strong title song and while most of AC/DC songs sound the same - they are all very good, energetic, powerful and fun rock songs.

you know what it reminds me of one of my favorite movies so i like that (school of rock)

Just raw and sick ass vocals and awesome guitars. Not as many hits but great energy throughout the album

The first concert my mom ever went to in the 80’s was AC/DC so growing up I always thought they were so cool and yanno what I still think that

It's really good if you choose to like it

A lot of my love for AC/DC faded as I matured, but this album holds up. Sure, it can be a little one note, but I credit them with coming up with 1001 metaphors fer fuckin' and for distilling hard rock to its essence

When I first took guitar lessons, the first song my teacher had me learn was Highway To Hell. I don't know if it made me like the song more or less. Still, AC/DC is a solid artist and this is a great album.

Classic classic rock

This is definitely a classic album, and while there aren't many hits on it, I think the biggest problem is that several of the songs do feel pretty forgettable. Everything is well done, and I think that with time, any rock fan can learn the songs and appreciate every single one, but it doesn't have an instant ability to blow me away on almost every track in the way I'd give a 5 star album.

Solid fun rock album. Would listen to again 7.5/10

Really solid classic rock album. Loved the blues influences on the drumming and guitar work on a couple tracks. Can see why its influential.

This just has to be one of the most solid, consistent hard rock albums of all time. Not a bad track here

Rocks so hard that it's been overplayed for decades

It’s a classic rock album. It’s also exactly what you’d expect from AC/DC. Although after listening to this album all the songs started to song similar. Favorite song: Beating Around the Bush

No better way to start the day than the title track

A classic, high energy. Not always in the mood for AC/DC but it's a nice listen. Every song a banger never boring.

instrumentals are absolute cinema, the use of electric guitar and drums is just beautiful like they seem like they had fun making this album. what i can say is that i don't connect at all with lyrics like i don't think id ever know the lyrics of the songs ever, maybe that is partly cause i can't hear what he is saying.

A superb offering from one of the greatest bands ever! This was an absolute tonic after the disaster of listening to Miles Davis the day before, just what was needed to get me back on track. Some amazing tracks, didn't get five stars as I felt nothing topped the first track but that's just personal preference.

Oh I grew up with this one - excellent! Just don't let your drummer sing it all the time in a band.

HELL YEAH BROTHER Loved this review someone left: "unclear if the album would be better if it were just "Highway to Hell" 10 times"

a few classics!

Pretty good. Nothing gets close to Highway to Hell on this. Air guitar, head bobbing and banging were had throughout though.

Every song sounds the same but it’s a pretty good song

All-time opener and great Australian representation. Without having listened to an AC/DC album in full this did more for me than I expected. RYM: N Saved a song: N

Very good, felt quite repetitive tho

Solid rock album, one of the greats. Just sounds too similar in clsssic AC/DC fashion, 4 stars

I listened to it and it was a great pick me up.

Rockin!!! Loved it, proper toe tapper. Actually made me engage in my work a bit more lol

More greasy 70's rock please.

Great classic

better than i had remembered ... stripped-down, bluesy, raw. singer actually sounds good (in contrast to the other guy that came later)

School of Rock coded / why he gotta scream like that in every song?

Estan buenas Love Hungry Man y tmb Night Prowler, entre muy negativa a escucharlo pero al final i just fw.

Dummpamin?

Simple and fun stadium rock. Was not expecting the Mork and Mindy reference at the end!

Bon scott acdc What's not to like

One song in different flavors. But all the flavors are decent. Just some good ol’ fashioned rock n’ roll.

It’s an alright album!

Je préfère l’album Back in Black !

Solid album. High energy with at least 3 classic songs.

Classic...hard rock in expert mode - Malcolm and Angus Young's guitars blast out of the speakers like no one elses, Bon Scott puts in his usual charismatic performance, and I reckon Cliff Williams is the secret weapon throughout, playing the most deceptively simple bass parts in rock, completely locked in to the groove from start to finish. Not to mention Mutt Lange's production and distinctive backing vocals - there are moments that you hear the same tricks he'd use to make his millions from with Def Leppard and Bryan Adams a decade later. Fun, fun album. A couple of clunkers in amongst it but one of their best for sure. R.I.P. Bon Scott - this was quite an album to go out with.

AC/DC is one of those bands that feels like I know them well given how much they have played on the radio for the last 5 decades, but other than the title track, this was a new listen for me. I was surprised both at the level of consistency is creating great rock songs, and how many of the songs revolve around 'loving your girl'. Great listen, and excited to see more AC/DC appear on the list.

It’s just SO fun. Time to dig out my devil horns light-up headband from the 2016 Rock or Bust tour. 👹

Classic bangers

I mean, geras albumas, neturiu ka pasakyt Favorites: "Girls got rythm", "beating around the bush"

A pleasant listen, was afraid of hating the album but it was solid throughout.

fun mindless rock. didn't think a band like ac/dc could have good deep cuts like the ones on here highlights: girls got rhythm beating around the bush night prowler

Call me a philistine all you want, but this was so much better than that U2 album. Is AC/DC complex, meaningful music? No. Is AC/DC fun and do their songs kick ass and rock hard? YES! Sometimes the simplest things in life are best, like an ice cold Budweiser on a hot day. This album is that ice cold macro lager, it’ll always have a place. Very solid 4/5

The classic Bon Scott DC album. You cant complain about an album that opens with ‘Highway to Hell’. Which is an undeniably great rock song and shows off the band’s strengths perfectly. The opening riff, drums and the vocal intro is just faultless, as it builds to the epic chorus is so simple but also just pure perfection. Girl’s got rhythm continue to focus on the harmony between Bon’s vocals and Angus’s guitar. AC/DC tracks always have a groove to them (as well as a fair slice of innuendo) and this one is no different. I enjoyed Walk All Over You’s group chorus. Touch Too Much is a fun, infectious tune and is a highlight. The other tracks follow the same blueprint with If You Want Blood being another clear standout. Sometimes simplicity and an entire album following a very strict blueprint can mean it falls short, especially where there is such a classic track on it. But that’s not the case here, HtH is just a classic foot stomping rock album. It’s amazing to think that they were able to replace such a great vocalist who seemed so integral to their sound with another who just fitted seamlessly.

Finishing yesterday's beepy bloopy Brian Eno album and immediately moving on to Highway To Hell was quite a vibe shift. I really enjoyed the chanting backing vocals of Walk All Over You, but honestly I enjoyed the whole thing. The gang vocals on multiple tracks particularly are really fun, but I didn't even get annoyed by the guitar solos. The hook of the bassline on Love Hungry Man is very funky. Look, does this sound pretty cheesy listening to it in 2026? Yes, but you know what? Cheesy can be fun. This just makes me smile and tap my toes. The last words being spoken on the album being a quote of Mork (of "and Mindy" fame) feels very fitting, even if the song it appears on is tonally different from the rest of the album. I am wishing for a half star, as I think this is more a 3.5 for me but it's much better than a 3 so: 4/5

Proper riffs, such a good time

I liked this album ok. I appreciate harder rock and huge bands, however in a folksy jam band girl at heart (with gangster rap in my soul).

It all sounds the same to me tbh but it’s still good stuff

AC/DC also rocks. Just classic and fun. Makes me want to throw a few lite beers and party back in Gastonia where I grew up!

++: Highway to Hell, Girls Got Rhythm, Touch Too Much, Beating Around the Bush, Shot Down in Flames, Love Hungry Man, Night Prowler +: Walk All Over You, Get It Hot, If You Want Blood (You've Got It) 8,8/10

Az elején berúgja az ajtót, aztán kezd ellaposodni, mikor ugyanazt hallod 8-adjára. A gitársound zseni, a dobos ugyanazt üti végig.

Classic rock n roll

DIdnt listen to album but know songs on it are good

Great in a very simple way. Hearty vocals, superlative guitar and the clear recording allowing the drums to cut through in the background. The strong, high energy sound delivered so convincingly makes up for some of the repetitive elements. It isn’t revelatory but it doesn’t need to be, it’s just great.

I am at danger of repeating myself vs Back in Black.  I am sure the critics will explain wide differences in the albums.  I don't think there is. - Mega energy - Riff / drum formula and pattern that drives the whole thing - Chuck on top a neat but slightly demented vocal - Now polish the hell out of it This is what your left with.  It is repetitive in some ways as a result but remains engaging and I don't tire of it which is to their credit.

Another album where AC/DC sort of nail it. OK, so each Song is a one-riff-wonder, the tracks are formulaic, and the lyrics aren't exactly deep... But its tight, its fun, the vocals are absolutely killer, and it rocks. AC/DC are one of those bands that I will rarely choose to listen to but every time I hear them, I can't help but enjoy it.

My first one on this journey, classic of course. Some songs I've ever heard before but all seem like the same song, not much variation. Still, love it.

Great album top to bottom

wowwww amazing

Classic rock. Bangers. Good energy. Idk what else to say.

I really enjoyed this - I only knew Highway to Hell as a song and really like that and yet there were plenty of other great songs on this. Felt like a real rock classic.

Great album

I like it

Great start with highway to hell, but the rest was just as classic.

Unapologetic Rock N Roll. I can almost make it through the whole album without a break. Just good rock.

great album

One of the greatest rock n roll albums of all time. Instantly recognisable. The title track and “if you want blood” stand out tracks

Classic. My type of dad rock

vyer enjoyable

A classic for a reason, hell yeah.

Banger of an album. This record is evidence that having an album full of songs that sound the same CAN work. Girls Got Rhythm, Touch Too Much, Shot Down in Flames and Night Prowler all great songs, as well as the title track. Overall a very enjoyable 41 minutes.

Its a clasic for a reason, but a bit one note

I don't like AC/DC as much as I should. And I like Bon Scott less than Brian Johnson. Yet despite only knowing the title track I have to admit this was a lot of fun and varied enough in parts for AC/DC. Well done. The second half especially good.

Tracks flow really well into one another. Production very crisp little reverb in your face classic plexi tone, everything cuts through really well balanced and warm sounding. Absolute classic of an album cover

It's an album full of very basic, standard rock songs. There's nothing on here that really pushes the bar. And sometimes I like listening to basic rock music and that's okay! They might be a little vanilla, but goddamn if the songs ain't catchy. I do wish there was more variety in the lyrics. I don't want this to sound prudish, I don't have a problem with songs being about sex. I do have a bit of a problem when almost ALL of the songs are about that. It's hard to knock the band for that because songs about love, sex, and breakups have been overdone by nearly artist since the beginning of time. But it does get a little irritating when a band does the same topic over and over without bringing anything new to it. Yet again though, the songs are so. goddamn. catchy. It's soooo close to being a 4 for me. I give it a 3.8/5.

4⭐️/5 01.03.2026

Just good, loud, simple rock. Mutt langes production is great. Sounds drag and clean still now.

if you’ve heard one song from this album then you’ve heard them all.

7/10 AC/DC always deliver exactly what you expect of them

This is NPC rock, unfortunately I'm not a so called "free-thinker"

Great album. Classic songs

Not an ac/dc fan, not my thing

AC/DC was my favorite band when I was like 12, which coincidentally the best way to describe AC/DC is a 12 year old boy’s favorite band. It’s simple rock, nothing complicated here. Lyrics anybody with a 4th grade education could get. But it’s fun and it just works

The penultimate great AC/DC album. After they blew their wad with Brian Johnson’s fist album with them on Back In Black, it was all autopilot from here.

They all sound quite similar and I wondered I like that fact or not. Im listening to it while studying and it’s kinda hurting my head but its probably because I’m not in the mood for loud music today. All in all I would listen to it again when I’d have the vibe for it. Some songs are bangers. 8/10

Nothing

Un clásico, rock clásico, no puede fallar.

Classic ACDC. Love it.

One of their best, but not their very best. Actually surprisingly weak relative to some of their other albums after the title track.

I forgot 'if you want blood' was on this record and I was pleasantly surprised by how cohesive this work was. it's just a jam fest with really fun drums and guitar. it makes me want to swing my hair and be a nuisance to my downstairs neighbours.
