Just a relentless jam, No woman studio version doesn't get enough love

A bit light for a long listen, but still a lot of talent going on.

A few solid hits in here, but a bit too samey and lacking the full funk rock edge of some of her other work.

Full of foundational texts, but it all starts to blend together into a single Ur-song after you've listened for a while.

The Beatles get a lot more interesting as musicians once they get past their generic pop rock era and don't have to deal with shrieking fans on stage.

I like Steve Earle generally, but this was really not my vibe

Some of the Pixies edge and rawness here, but it lacks the band's complimentary artistic contributions that keep Frank from being too one notey.

Top 5 album of all time

Might be blasphemous, but Lennon is an inspired lyricist, but the actual tunes here are pretty slight.

It's the sound of the 80s, boiled down like an English roast until it's kinda flavourless. Very much like Bowie's 80s, but without anything memorable enough to come back to.

Probably rowdy fun at the end of the night at a pub, but a bit underwhelming as a studio release

1919 is timeless, it's a shame the rest of the album doesn't measure up

Raw talent here, but the jazz is a bit too aimless

Ok to put on for about 2 tracks then it's worn out its welcome

If not for a few inevitable Queen mid-album duds, this would be a 10/10

Even if you don't like a few songs, they make up for it with volume

Moby's music is way too mid for the ego he has

Surprised there are a few mediocre songs on this one, because the rest of the album is golden.

One of the best Big Band leaders, the big uptempo tunes are where he shines, but the slow tunes drag if you're not dancing

Going to need to check back on this one to see what I'm not getting. Clearly a lot of specific artistic choices being made, but a lot of the album sounds like 4 band members playing completely different songs at the same time.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said about one of the great pieces of 20th century art

Separating the art from the artist as hard as I possibly can: this is a pretty slick album

Listening to this after a heavy metal album was like sliding into a pool on a hot summer day

It feels like the laws of the universe would stop Mark and crew from being cool, and yet they just rock
