Reviews (page 8 of 8)
A wall of constant, unyielding noise. Couldn’t wait till it was over. The only positive: I can imagine rearrangements of some songs being performed by other bands coming out decent.
Shallow shite
Unbearable!
Meh…
Completely and utterly forgettable. It did not register once on my interest meter.
Kinda boring. Maybe good at the time, maybe revolutionary... I'm not sure. And I probably won't ever really know 🤷🏾♀️
Dawno nie mialem plyty do ktorej tak sie zrazilem po pierwszej nutce jak do dzisiejszego picka, w takich momentach nachodzi ochota na kolejny haitus oo
Out of all of albums from 1992, how did this make it on here? Not good. Copper Poo.
Hmmmm
The singer has a similar tone to Michael Stipe of R.E.M. fame but unfortunately he doesn't have the same level of versatility or emotion involved. I feel like the vocals alone come across as kind of flat and uninteresting. The melodies are pretty straightforward and it's a lot of same-note repeating that usually is a good trick for writing a catchy chorus or something like that, but I think this band uses it too much. The most played song on the album, "If I Can't Change Your Mind" is VERY R.E.M. sounding, with the super upbeat drums and acoustic guitars that push it forward. Overall I don't love it and I question it's place on this list.
..., ..., , , ...
Never heard of that band. Kinda sounds like The Pixies. Then not so much. This is a solid 1.
Is this a prank? Who thinks this album belongs on this list? Worst record so far...
Well, that's some 90s graphic design on the cover. Wish I would have heard this in the mid-90s when I couldn't get enough music that sounded loud, melodic and nerdy. Not really sure why this is on the list. It's fine, but it doesn't hold up well against time or the other albums on this list. Oh, I looked it up. This is Bob Mould's band. That explains it. But my ears don't lie and my mind don't care.
No idea what NME were smoking when they voted this AOTY 1992 but it was probably meth.
90s rock. Niet voor mij.
I hate it, every song is the same.
Did not enjoy. Not my vibe.
Load of old crud
A really forgettable rock album - nothing really much else to say. 3/10.
Didn't enjoy the album even thought it wasn't obvioualy bad. It's just that it lies on the intersection of genres (punk, alt rock and hard rock) and it's not great at any of them. No idea why it's on the list.
"It sounds like background music you'd hear at a bar."
generic head banging . decent but litreally nothing worth noting.
Back to boring
