Popular Reviews

Want One by Rufus Wainwright

Happier than Radiohead, but less interesting 3/5

Such an amazing band. Queen brings a lot of history to the table for me, as I was a fan for a long time when I was younger. If there were a sixth star, this band would get it for all their early albums

Master Of Puppets by Metallica

I don't need to listen to this all the way to tell you this is one of the best albums ever made. Period. If I could give more than 5 stars this would get them without a second thought. Got me into Thrash as a teenager after a mate played it on repeat while we blasted ghosts & skeletons in 2 player tag matches of Ghoul on Saturday mornings. Got back to it after a while away listening to other stuff (grunge, desert rock) Now my teenage lad is into Thrash we're going to gigs together

Hypnotised by The Undertones

punk from NI, Feargal has a very distinct voice, one of the few people I can name that sing with an accent

Paranoid by Black Sabbath

The pinnacle of a new genre. Still sounds great after 55 years. bittersweet that this hits my feed just days after Ozzy's funeral. Thank you Prince of Darkness and brothers

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 13 2026

Sometimes a band or an album can really surprise you. The opening track is so potent. Many of the rest of the tracks seem to indicate that the stones were most definitely playing black mans music, sometimes quite well. I'd always kinda dismissed the stones, but sometimes you get reminded of what you've missed out on! while some of the tracks are really not up my street, the fact that they're real musicians and it's guitar+bass+drums+vocals combination that I tend to fall back to has made me listen to most of this all the way through
