Rufus WainwrightHappier than Radiohead, but less interesting 3/5
Happier than Radiohead, but less interesting 3/5
FreeBird!
Dull.
OK, not outstanding, but not background music. probably improves on multiple listens
Not my cup of tea at all
Clearly well made, but not of interest to me - a kind of easy listening jazz come rap
Some good songs - Classic early Bjork
Parts of it want to be RATM, part rap, mostly just corny
Some good tunes, many familiar already
Not my cup of tea.
Good, and brings back some memories, but gets a little samey at the end of the album
Classic UB40, not my bag, but good
Not my bag, at all
Some good Dylan songs, but gets a little dry at the end
Not a lot of melody, but plenty of vocals. Not bad
not for me
Some interesting melodies/rhythms in some tracks.
Classic Tom, interesting
Great album, if not just for Brothers in Arms alone
not bad, but not really up my street
Great album. Been a while since I heard it
Easy listening jazz. Yawn
Great songs by the B52s
Not bad, but not my bag
a bit samey. old school cure, a bit too much like the smiths for my taste
old school melodies. recognised the second song and the voice.
I'm not a jazz fan. At all. Just can't get anything out of it.
Not bad. 100 times better than Jazz. Some songs worked, some a bit too slow for me
Good album. Amazing to realise just how many of the songs are familiar
OK, a couple of familiar tunes, but some tunes lacking usual pace of The Who, a bit of a background type album
ok, ish. familiar first track, but rest of them are a little slow for me
classic abba. not much else I can say
Limp Bizkit all over. OK, showing its age though
not bad, but quite poorly engineered (as a lot of live stuff is)
not my bag - salsa/south african/cuban something or other
OK. classic kinks. only 1 song I'm familiar with.
Loved this, includes one of the best all time drum intros (hot for teacher). Reminds me of Saturday nights at the floral hall (midnight madness anyone?)
hill street blues / dick spanner background music. A bit more lively than some songs I've listened to here
Not a bad album, but only a couple of songs I really got into
Lovely - takes me back. Some songs I'd not heard too. Madness really are one of a kind
First song - really annoying (almost upsetting rapid panning between left and right). Other than that it's the most dull easy listening album 0/5 (can't select 0)
Great kinks. Again another unique band
Not really my bag.
Some good tunes, bit slow for me at times
Not bad, "light ambient" I guess (huh - ambient light!) one or two will ring around for a while, but would prefer it heavier.
Great album. Classic MSP
Not for me - a bit of background noise, slightly grating I'm afraid 2/5
Amazing album - been too long
takes me back a bit, some memorable, if dated tunes
music for pixar cartoons. Bit slow for me
awesome album. some of the best 70s/80s rock
Not bad, old Stones.
Amazing Album
proper old school blues.
very 60's frank. use occasionally or unseen effects may occur
Some reasonable tunes. Never clicked with me though
Not really my thing, a bit too talking heads'y
Nah, bit yawn and a bit off tempo for me.
First time in a long time that I have listened to a new-to-me album completely! 4/5
Happier than Radiohead, but less interesting 3/5
doors meets nick cave meets.... 3/5
Dull I'm afraid. Not much better than lift music 1/5
easy listening jazz. no thanks. 1/5
OK, bit samey. britpop rock, very 90s 3/5
Not bad. Enjoyed it in the 90s 3/5
Pretty good - funk/ska/rock 4/5
Good tunes, took me back to my youth 4/5
Very good, laid back.
Some goof stuff, some familiar tunes old school stuff 3/5
Love me a bit of Siouxsie
not my cup of tea - chilled out samba rhythms etc
One of the greatest albums ever, can't not be a 5*
a little jazzy, very 80s. not really my cup of tea
blues, country, (light) rock, 80's style. OK, but not something I would choose to put on
from the title it sounds like a threat! collection of 50's christmas songs
never really been a happy mondays bunny, always sounds like it's been badly mixed
probably ok, but I'm a little bored of this stuff.
bit slow. not for me.
post punk, slight aura of the stranglers, depeche mode, quite 80s and a little avante garde. worth keeping on a playlist.
A bit slow. has some classic heartstring pulling songs
Amazing. I can't think of a better description! 5/5
not bad, mix of genres 4/5
Very good album. Touching in that it was his last, and he knew that when he made it 4/5
Not my bag at all, in fact slightly annoying to have on in the background
She's good, but I don't find it interesting 2/5
Good album if you're in the mood / chilled out 3/5
kinda dull easy listening 2/5
dirty, punky, rough around the edges. Sonic Youth at its best 5/5
yawn 1/5
Amazing album. Bought back a lot of memories 5/5
pretty good
Not the Beach Boys I know. Slow and harmonic 2/5
Memorable tunes, gets a little samey towards the second half 4/5
Chilled out dance 3/5
OK, bit slow for me, some familiar tunes 2/5
Great stuff.
Some interesting stuff. Jazzy & a bit random at times.
dull
OK, better as a soundtrack to a movie. pinball wizard still very good though
Chill. Bassy and cool, but not my thing
not bad, classic JB, not my thing tho
Boring.
Amazing Van. A category of music all of his own
great stuff britpop meets alt rock
what a f****n awesome album!
excellent album, soundtrack to part of my youth
not my cup of tea. Like a jazzy light rock jam
not bad, bit samey at times, but interesting
not terrible, but guitar sounds is a little grating 2/5
Excellent tunes
Frank Frank Frank Frank Frank. Frank at his best. Unique and slightly jazzy
Dance meets slow music. Not my cup of tea
Not bad, at least he's a proper singer
not my thing
interesting, I think it'd 'get better' with more listenings
I'm afraid I just don't get Jazz. boring
old favourite
Nope. Don't really 'get' rap either. doesn't do anything for me
ambient. bit dull. not for me
One of the greatest albums of the 90s
Good album, though not something I would actively listen to
Interesting. Avant garde, slightly punky. Might listen again 3/5
old school C&W with one of those clear country voices telling tales of downtrodden sad lives, for background music in cowboy bar scenes. Not my thing
What an album; emotive, full and energetic 5/5
I'm afraid snoop is lost on me. I just don't feel it
OK, couple of familiar tunes. Very Beatles feel
crap 80's dance & hip hop
Interesting - predates Rammstein, a couple of melodies of there's are present, and one song (which I presume is a cover). A couple of Queen songs riffs too (from Highlander tunes). Could be listened to again. Reminds me of a cross between Tom G Warrior and Rammstein
brings back some memories of my 20's. a bit of a crooner. not bad
Not really my cup of tea, a little bit stranglers-ish but nothing catches
Amazing album, story and musicianship.
Rock, not too heavy. OK
dull 80's music
very chilled out south american spanish vibes
OK, beastie boys as beastie boys. Not exactly my bag
ok. light spanish-ish funkish-rockish
Easy listening jazz. not my thing, but well executed
Very jangly guitars, classic 60's rock
not particularly interesting to me - just a soft voice and muted tunes
Good album, classic Neil Young. Meanders a bit
I don't really get funk. This looks like a tongue in cheek group though, so kudos for that.
easy listening, breathy female voice, ok, but nothing grabs me
great album
I though Willie was a C&W star? Sorry, not really my bag at all!
Amazing to hear how they started
I really want to like Amy a lot. She had an amazing voice, but I just can't click with the songs the way that others do. Still very much worthy of this list
Not up my street, but not bad. shame it all sounds the same to me
Something my nan would have liked. Not for me
beautiful, sorrowful, pained. reaches in and shows you your pain
Sorry, I Just don't see the appeal
surprisingly easy to listen to. Couple of familiar tunes, not normally my thing but interesting enough to leave on
Amazing album. still sounds great after all these years
classic punk, fast, dirty, noisy. Shame it's less than 20 minutes long.
Sorry but I find this dull
Good, but a little meandering
Great album, not as rough/punky as I thought they would be
I was never into the happy mondays. The songs aren't bad, but don't catch me
Definitely alternative. Quite a few different influences
I don't click with Bob.
guitar driven widdly widdly funk. Nothing for me really
less 'music' more playing with sound
Not many Tom Waits songs I can get into, want to like it but it doesn't click
started off promising, a little trance-like, but slowly descended into just grunts with a fuzz background. Not my thing
Couple of memorable songs, but in all just sounds like 80s music
Not my bag. Sorry
sorry, no. not into funk. hate that weedy synth sound
Sorry, I hated the 80s pop music scene, this is just another example of it
OK I suppose, but not as easy to listen to as some of his other stuff
ok if you're in the mood for some easy listening.
Top drawer.
not bad, but not my thing
Not bad, but a bit dated (as per the album cover)
not bad - reminds me a little of early status quo, twangy guitars and all that
OK, some familiar tunes. Not a rap fan but I could cope with this for a while
Even before playing this I know it's a 5. There are not many albums this good
Easy to listen to 60's blues
quite dull. not as energetic as I remember
bit samey, but good kinks
Chilled ambient.
good album, standard sounding Bob, some 'famous' tracks.
I don't get Jazz. I'm sure this is very good but not for me
S'ok, but not really my thing
interesting, some unusual pieces, not too bad, worth another listen
A classic. Unique & very listenable
A classic. Unique & very listenable
a bit slow & quiet, good for some chilled out listening
Old school singer, like something my grandparents would enjoy.
old school harmonies. OK, but not very 'exciting'
I'm afraid Rap has never done anything for me
Great songs from Lou, some more memorable than others
couple of memorable tunes, but nothing grabs me
Not bad, not as good as fat of the land in my opinion, but worthy of a few listens
Good, if a little stereotypical old blues
I haven't listed to this in 25years! What a great chilled out album. Brings back so many memories
Such an amazing band. Queen brings a lot of history to the table for me, as I was a fan for a long time when I was younger. If there were a sixth star, this band would get it for all their early albums
country. stereotypically so.
OK, but a bit dull
great album. needs repeated listenings to really appreciate the genius of the smashing pumpkins
2 songs familiar to me, the rest a little sedate for my taste.
Good Bowie, but a little 'screechy' for me right now
OK, not catchy but OK for some chill time
Nah. Never a fan of Jacko, this is just weak sounding 80's synth pop
Not my thing. slightly boring in fact
Nope. I don't get Soul. Doesn't resonate in any way with me.
excellent album, I need to listen to it a few more times
A lot of blues. Not bad, couple of familiar songs
Interesting, but would sound better if there was a film to watch
interesting... a bit meandering at times
