Sometimes a band or an album can really surprise you. The opening track is so potent.
Many of the rest of the tracks seem to indicate that the stones were most definitely playing black mans music, sometimes quite well.
I'd always kinda dismissed the stones, but sometimes you get reminded of what you've missed out on!
while some of the tracks are really not up my street, the fact that they're real musicians and it's guitar+bass+drums+vocals combination that I tend to fall back to has made me listen to most of this all the way through
