The Dreaming
Kate BushListened to this with my girlfriend on a drive, she said she likes Kate Bush. After listening to this for the first time she said ‘maybe I should stop telling people I like Kate bush’ we really did not enjoy this

Whilst not my favourite talking heads album, this is still a classic in my opinion. You can tell David Byrne is at the start of his music journey and discovering the character he will soon become. Fun listen today whilst driving in the sun, thanks for the recommendation
An album so good I have it on vinyl. Was glad this popped up as I haven’t listened to it in a few years. Whilst the first side of the album is probably one of the greatest of all time, it’s those more unappreciated tunes at the end that really make this album something special
Let’s give George Harrison his flowers. This is the best solo album that came after the Beatles broke up in my opinion, and the 2nd album in a row you have given me that I own on vinyl. The album really gives us an idea of what the Beatles would have sounded like if they decided to let George take control of an album. What an amazing album that would have been!
3rd album in a row I own on record, always a pleasure spinning this one. Actually one of my favourites of all time. Leonard Cohen’s poetry is immaculate in this and it will always stand the test of time. What an amazing man.
This is the best led zeppelin album in my opinion. I know it’s open for interpretation as everyone I know has varying opinions
Never been that into supergrass or listened to their back catalogue, after hearing this I can tell why. It’s not really for me. I do understand why this album is here!
This is the first time I’ve ever even heard of Ms Dynamite, and I was impressed. She’s really got a nice voice, and this being her debut album she came through with a lot of stories about life before fame. Solid project, reminded me a lot of Lauryn Hill
Not overly into this, not very memorable. Honestly haven’t listened to the band before, which is strange because I went through a phase of listening to a lot of psychedelic music, but this album just felt quite dull
Amazing album, such a beautiful sound of the 60s. I feel there’s one song on it though that always gets skipped and let’s it down, butcher’s tale
Always loved this album, feels like we’re seeing the Beatles in concert everytime I hear it… around the middle of the album it gets quite dull, whilst not my favourite it still gets 4/5
I had a friend who played this album every single time you were with her, as fun as it is, it’s just overplayed for me and ruined a bit. Listened to this on the way to the beach with my girlfriend and we sang along
It was ok, a bit boring, didn’t really change me on my whole jazz adventure in any way. I can see why this is on the list, but maybe it just wasn’t for me
This is longer than it needs to be. Have tried going through an ELO journey before, and whilst I enjoy some of their psych music, the majority of it for me is just dull
Not listening to this piece of shit, wish I could vote 0/5
I listened to the copy on soundcloud rather than Apple Music as suggested on reddit Did I enjoy it? Yes, it got me pumped for the upcoming dance music festival I am attending next weekend Will I listen again? Probably not as it is not easily accessible and very long!
I understand this was groundbreaking at the time, but it never really aged well. I’ve never really been a fan of the early Beatles, anything pre rubber soul
Loved this, really got me pumped. Been really enjoying the dance music this project has been giving me the last few days. Made me feel like I was at a rave, brought so much euphoria
Such a weird way to start the morning during my walk. Did not enjoy this album at all, I have never listened to Bjork before so was excited to give her a try. Was not a great start, but if any of her other albums come up I’ll give them a try
This was a nice listen. Have listened to a lot of the temptations, but none of their albums. Always thought they were more of a singles band. I was wrong, well worth a listen and definitely will go back again
Not my favourite Jimi album, I find half way through I always lose interest. It is a work of art, but not for me unfortunately. Have always preferred are you experienced?
This was ok, not my kind of vibe. I don’t know much about the album, but imagine it was very inspirational to the Brit pop era, which made it worth a listen
This was a bit dull, no playback value at all for me. Honestly I’ve never really been that into jazz, and I know this album isn’t even a real showpiece for the genre. Hopefully when I get further into the list a bit of better jazz comes my way
Big fan of this album. There’s something quite funny about it. I own it on vinyl, bought it a few years ago when I was going through my 60s psych phase.
Surprised I didn’t enjoy this a lot more, I feel mamas and papas are more of a single band than an album band!
Found this quite boring, nothing stood out for me. Around the end of the album it started to pick up a bit, but unfortunately it was too late. Background music for me
Found this surprisingly fun! I don’t think I would go back to it, but something different which I enjoyed
This was nice, always been a fan of ska, it is such good music to dance to. I’ve never listened to any album by the specials other than their self titled album. Great listen
Love this album, has to be 5 stars as these guys wrote this and pioneered the sound of psych pop that I love today. Inspired so many
Listened to this with my girlfriend on a drive, she said she likes Kate Bush. After listening to this for the first time she said ‘maybe I should stop telling people I like Kate bush’ we really did not enjoy this
This wasn’t bad. Never listened to Judas Priest before, so was refreshing listening to something new. Enjoyed it but I don’t think it has much playback value for myself
Amazing album, brought me so much joy when I saw it was my album for the day! Whilst loaded is definitely their best album, this is timeless
This kind of came and went, listened the whole way through and now it’s the next morning I can’t think of anything exciting about the album. Had never heard Bonnie Raitt before, and whilst I liked her voice, nothing stood out
This was enjoyable, new for me. It’s got a lot of playback, I have actually never heard of Bauhaus before, but I’ll definitely go back and listen to their other stuff
5/5, has to be. Beautiful album written by such a beautiful soul! RIP Brian Wilson
Really enjoyed this, made me really happy to be doing this challenge and learning about new music. Saved a few other albums by fela Kuti to do a deep dive into his discography in the future
I have never really enjoyed this album, have always found it a bit uninspired. Whilst there’s a few catchy songs, I’ve never gotten the hype. 3/5
This was good! Whilst I’ve heard a few of the songs, I’ve never listened to the album in it entirely and it really is something special!
Loved this, I’ve listened to a lot of Tom waits, but never gave this album a try. Definitely a 10/10 and will be in constant rotation for me
